Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Al-Ghāshiyahi (Al-Ghāshiyah: 1).

088.001 Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)?
|
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ |
| Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Khāshi`ahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 2).
|
088.002 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,
|
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ |
| `Āmilatun Nāşibahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 3).
|
088.003 Labouring (hard), weary,-
|
عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ |
| Taşlá Nārāan Ĥāmiyahan (Al-Ghāshiyah: 4).
|
088.004 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,-
|
تَصْلَى نَاراً حَامِيَةً |
| Tusqá Min `Aynin 'Āniyahin (Al-Ghāshiyah: 5).
|
088.005 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring,
|
تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ |
| Laysa Lahum Ţa`āmun 'Illā Min Đarī`in (Al-Ghāshiyah: 6).
|
088.006 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari'
|
لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلاَّ مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ |
| Lā Yusminu Wa Lā Yughnī Min Jū`in (Al-Ghāshiyah: 7).
|
088.007 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.
|
لاَ يُسْمِنُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ |
| Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Nā`imahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 8).
|
088.008 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful,
|
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ |
| Lisa`yihā Rāđiyahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 9).
|
088.009 Pleased with their striving,-
|
لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ |
| Fī Jannatin `Āliyahin (Al-Ghāshiyah: 10).
|
088.010 In a Garden on high,
|
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ |
| Lā Tasma`u Fīhā Lāghiyahan (Al-Ghāshiyah: 11).
|
088.011 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity:
|
لاَ تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لاَغِيَةً |
| Fīhā `Aynun Jāriyahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 12).
|
088.012 Therein will be a bubbling spring:
|
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ |
| Fīhā Sururun Marfū`ahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 13).
|
088.013 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high,
|
فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ |
| Wa 'Akwābun Mawđū`ahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 14).
|
088.014 Goblets placed (ready),
|
وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ |
| Wa Namāriqu Maşfūfahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 15).
|
088.015 And cushions set in rows,
|
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ |
| Wa Zarābīyu Mabthūthahun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 16).
|
088.016 And rich carpets (all) spread out.
|
وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ |
| 'Afalā Yanžurūna 'Ilá Al-'Ibili Kayfa Khuliqat (Al-Ghāshiyah: 17).
|
088.017 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-
|
أَفَلاَ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ |
| Wa 'Ilá As-Samā'i Kayfa Rufi`at (Al-Ghāshiyah: 18).
|
088.018 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
|
وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ |
| Wa 'Ilá Al-Jibāli Kayfa Nuşibat (Al-Ghāshiyah: 19).
|
088.019 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
|
وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ |
| Wa 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Kayfa Suţiĥat (Al-Ghāshiyah: 20).
|
088.020 And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
|
وَإِلَى الأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ |
| Fadhakkir 'Innamā 'Anta Mudhakkirun (Al-Ghāshiyah: 21).
|
088.021 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
|
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ |
| Lasta `Alayhim Bimusayţirin (Al-Ghāshiyah: 22).
|
088.022 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs.
|
لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُسَيْطِرٍ |
| 'Illā Man Tawallá Wa Kafara (Al-Ghāshiyah: 23).
|
088.023 But if any turn away and reject God,-
|
إِلاَّ مَنْ تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَ |
| Fayu`adhdhibuhu Allāhu Al-`Adhāba Al-'Akbara (Al-Ghāshiyah: 24).
|
088.024 God will punish him with a mighty Punishment,
|
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الأَكْبَرَ |
| 'Inna 'Ilaynā 'Īābahum (Al-Ghāshiyah: 25).
|
088.025 For to Us will be their return;
|
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ |
| Thumma 'Inna `Alaynā Ĥisābahum (Al-Ghāshiyah: 26).
|
088.026 Then it will be for Us to call them to account.
|
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ |
