Sabbiĥi Asma Rabbika Al-'A`lá (Al-'`lá: 1).

087.001 Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,
|
سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى |
Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Fasawwá (Al-'`lá: 2).
|
087.002 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;
|
الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى |
Wa Al-Ladhī Qaddara Fahadá (Al-'`lá: 3).
|
087.003 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;
|
وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَى |
Wa Al-Ladhī 'Akhraja Al-Mar`á (Al-'`lá: 4).
|
087.004 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,
|
وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَى |
Faja`alahu Ghuthā'an 'Aĥwá (Al-'`lá: 5).
|
087.005 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.
|
فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَى |
Sanuqri'uka Falā Tansá (Al-'`lá: 6).
|
087.006 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,
|
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلاَ تَنسَى |
'Illā Mā Shā'a Allāhu ۚ 'Innahu Ya`lamu Al-Jahra Wa Mā Yakhfá (Al-'`lá: 7).
|
087.007 Except as God wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.
|
إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَى |
Wa Nuyassiruka Lilyusrá (Al-'`lá: 8).
|
087.008 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).
|
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَى |
Fadhakkir 'In Nafa`ati Adh-Dhikrá (Al-'`lá: 9).
|
087.009 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
|
فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى |
Sayadhdhakkaru Man Yakhshá (Al-'`lá: 10).
|
087.010 The admonition will be received by those who fear (God):
|
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَى |
Wa Yatajannabuhā Al-'Ashqá (Al-'`lá: 11).
|
087.011 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones,
|
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الأَشْقَى |
Al-Ladhī Yaşlá An-Nāra Al-Kubrá (Al-'`lá: 12).
|
087.012 Who will enter the Great Fire,
|
الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَى |
Thumma Lā Yamūtu Fīhā Wa Lā Yaĥyā (Al-'`lá: 13).
|
087.013 In which they will then neither die nor live.
|
ثُمَّ لاَ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلاَ يَحْيَا |
Qad 'Aflaĥa Man Tazakká (Al-'`lá: 14).
|
087.014 But those will prosper who purify themselves,
|
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى |
Wa Dhakara Asma Rabbihi Faşallá (Al-'`lá: 15).
|
087.015 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer.
|
وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى |
Bal Tu'uthirūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā (Al-'`lá: 16).
|
087.016 Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world;
|
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا |
Wa Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Wa 'Abqá (Al-'`lá: 17).
|
087.017 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
|
وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى |
'Inna Hādhā Lafī Aş-Şuĥufi Al-'Ūlá (Al-'`lá: 18).
|
087.018 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),-
|
إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الأُولَى |
Şuĥufi 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá (Al-'`lá: 19).
|
087.019 The Books of Abraham and Moses.
