Waylun Lilmuţaffifīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 1).

083.001 Woe to those that deal in fraud,-
|
وَيْل ٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Aktālū `Alá An-Nāsi Yastawfūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 2).
|
083.002 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,
|
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Kālūhum 'Aw Wazanūhum Yukhsirūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 3).
|
083.003 But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
|
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ |
| 'Alā Yažunnu 'Ūla'ika 'Annahum Mab`ūthūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 4).
|
083.004 Do they not think that they will be called to account?-
|
أَلاَ يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ |
| Liyawmin `Ažīmin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 5).
|
083.005 On a Mighty Day,
|
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
| Yawma Yaqūmu An-Nāsu Lirabbi Al-`Ālamīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 6).
|
083.006 A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
|
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-Fujjāri Lafī Sijjīnin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 7).
|
083.007 Day! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.
|
كَلاَّ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Sijjīnun (Al-Muţaffifīn: 8).
|
083.008 And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ |
| Kitābun Marqūmun (Al-Muţaffifīn: 9).
|
083.009 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.
|
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 10).
|
083.010 Woe, that Day, to those that deny-
|
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yukadhdhibūna Biyawmi Ad-Dīni (Al-Muţaffifīn: 11).
|
083.011 Those that deny the Day of Judgment.
|
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ |
| Wa Mā Yukadhdhibu Bihi 'Illā Kullu Mu`tadin 'Athīmin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 12).
|
083.012 And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner!
|
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إلاَّ كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ |
| 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhi 'Āyātunā Qāla 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 13).
|
083.013 When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"
|
إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُالأَوَّلِينَ |
| Kallā ۖ Bal ۜ Rāna `Alá Qulūbihim Mā Kānū Yaksibūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 14).
|
083.014 By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!
|
كَلاَّ ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Kallā 'Innahum `An Rabbihim Yawma'idhin Lamaĥjūbūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 15).
|
083.015 Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.
|
كَلاَّ إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ |
| Thumma 'Innahum Laşālū Al-Jaĥīmi (Al-Muţaffifīn: 16).
|
083.016 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.
|
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيمِ |
| Thumma Yuqālu Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 17).
|
083.017 Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!
|
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Kallā 'Inna Kitāba Al-'Abrāri Lafī `Illīyīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 18).
|
083.018 Day, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.
|
كَلاَّ إِنَّ كِتَابَ الأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā `Illīyūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 19).
|
083.019 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is?
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ |
| Kitābun Marqūmun (Al-Muţaffifīn: 20).
|
083.020 (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,
|
كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ |
| Yash/haduhu Al-Muqarrabūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 21).
|
083.021 To which bear witness those Nearest (to God).
|
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-'Abrāra Lafī Na`īmin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 22).
|
083.022 Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:
|
إِنَّ الأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ |
| `Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 23).
|
083.023 On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):
|
عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Ta`rifu Fī Wujūhihim Nađrata An-Na`īmi (Al-Muţaffifīn: 24).
|
083.024 Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
|
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ |
| Yusqawna Min Raĥīqin Makhtūmin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 25).
|
083.025 Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:
|
يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيقٍ مَخْتُومٍ |
| Khitāmuhu Miskun ۚ Wa Fī Dhālika Falyatanāfasi Al-Mutanāfisūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 26).
|
083.026 The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:
|
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ |
| Wa Mizājuhu Min Tasnīmin (Al-Muţaffifīn: 27).
|
083.027 With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim:
|
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ تَسْنِيمٍ |
| `Aynāan Yashrabu Bihā Al-Muqarrabūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 28).
|
083.028 A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to God.
|
عَيْناً يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ajramū Kānū Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Yađĥakūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 29).
|
083.029 Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,
|
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Marrū Bihim Yataghāmazūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 30).
|
083.030 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
|
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Anqalabū 'Ilá 'Ahlihimu Anqalabū Fakihīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 31).
|
083.031 And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
|
وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ra'awhum Qālū 'Inna Hā'uulā' Lađāllūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 32).
|
083.032 And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"
|
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء لَضَالُّونَ |
| Wa Mā 'Ursilū `Alayhim Ĥāfižīna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 33).
|
083.033 But they had not been sent as keepers over them!
|
وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ |
| Fālyawma Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Mina Al-Kuffāri Yađĥakūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 34).
|
083.034 But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:
|
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ |
| `Alá Al-'Arā'iki Yanžurūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 35).
|
083.035 On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).
|
عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Hal Thūwiba Al-Kuffāru Mā Kānū Yaf`alūna (Al-Muţaffifīn: 36).
|
083.036 Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?
|
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ |
