Wa An-Nāzi`āti Gharqāan (An-Nāzi`āt: 1). 079.001 By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; وَ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌زِع‍‍َاتِ غَ‍‍رْق‍‍اً
Wa An-Nāshiţāti Nashţāan (An-Nāzi`āt: 2). 079.002 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); وَ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍اشِ‍‍‍‍طَ‍اتِ نَشْ‍‍ط‍‍اً
Wa As-Sābiĥāti Sabĥāan (An-Nāzi`āt: 3). 079.003 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), وَ‌السَّابِح‍‍َاتِ سَ‍‍بْ‍‍حاً
Fālssābiqāti Sabqāan (An-Nāzi`āt: 4). 079.004 Then press forward as in a race, فَالسَّابِ‍‍‍‍قَ‍اتِ سَ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍ق‍‍اً
Fālmudabbirāti 'Aman (An-Nāzi`āt: 5). 079.005 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), فَالْمُدَبِّ‍‍رَ‍‌اتِ ‌أَمْر‌اً
Yawma Tarjufu Ar-jifahu (An-Nāzi`āt: 6). 079.006 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, يَ‍‍وْمَ تَرْجُفُ ‌ال‍‍‍‍رَّ‌اجِفَةُ
Tatba`uhā Ar-difahu (An-Nāzi`āt: 7). 079.007 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): تَتْبَعُهَا‌ ‌ال‍‍‍‍رَّ‌ا‌دِفَةُ
Qulūbun Yawma'idhin Wājifahun (An-Nāzi`āt: 8). 079.008 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; قُ‍‍ل‍‍ُ‍وبٌ يَوْمَئِذ‌ٍ ‌وَ‌اجِفَةٌ
'AbşāruKhāshi`ahun (An-Nāzi`āt: 9). 079.009 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. أَبْ‍‍‍‍‍‍صَ‍‍ا‌رُهَا‌ خَ‍‍اشِعَةٌ
Yaqūlūna 'A'innā Lamardūdūna Fī Al-Ĥāfirahi (An-Nāzi`āt: 10). 079.010 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌أَئِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ لَمَرْ‌دُ‌و‌د‍ُ‍‌ونَ فِي ‌الْحَافِ‍رَةِ
'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Nakhirahan (An-Nāzi`āt: 11). 079.011 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" أَئِذَ‌ا‌ كُ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ عِ‍‍‍‍ظَ‍‍اماً نَ‍‍خِ‍رَةً
Qālū Tilka 'Idhāan Karratun Khāsirahun (An-Nāzi`āt: 12). 079.012 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" قَ‍‍الُوا تِلْكَ ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً كَ‍رَّةٌ خَ‍‍اسِ‍رَةٌ
Fa'innamā Hiya Zajratun Wāĥidahun (An-Nāzi`āt: 13). 079.013 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, فَإِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ هِيَ ‌زَجْ‍‍‍‍‍رَةٌ ‌وَ‌احِ‍‍د‍‍َ‌ةٌ
Fa'idhā Hum Bis-Sāhirahi (An-Nāzi`āt: 14). 079.014 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هُمْ بِ‌ال‍‍سَّاهِ‍‍‍رَةِ
Hal 'Tāka Ĥadīthu Mūsá (An-Nāzi`āt: 15). 079.015 Has the story of Moses reached thee? هَلْ ‌أت‍‍َاكَ حَد‍ِ‍ي‍‍ثُ مُوسَى
'Idh Nādāhu Rabbuhu Bil-Wādi Al-Muqaddasi Ţuwan (An-Nāzi`āt: 16). 079.016 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- إِ‌ذْ‌ نَا‌د‍َ‍‌اهُ ‌‍‍‍رَبُّهُ بِ‌الْو‍َ‌ادِ‌ ‌الْمُ‍‍قَ‍‍دَّسِ طُ‍‍و‌ىً
Adh/hab 'Ilá Fir`awna 'Innahu Ţaghá (An-Nāzi`āt: 17). 079.017 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: ا‌ذْهَ‍‍ب‌ْ ‌إِلَى‌ فِ‍‍ر‌ْعَ‍‍وْنَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ طَ‍‍غَ‍‍ى
Faqul Hal Laka 'Ilá 'An Tazakká (An-Nāzi`āt: 18). 079.018 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- فَ‍‍قُ‍‍لْ هَلْ لَكَ ‌إِلَ‍‍ى أَ‌ن‌ْ تَزَكَّى
Wa 'Ahdiyaka 'Ilá Rabbika Fatakhshá (An-Nāzi`āt: 19). 079.019 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" وَ‌أَهْدِيَكَ ‌إِلَى ‍‍‍رَبِّكَ فَتَ‍‍خْ‍‍شَى
Fa'arāhu Al-'Āyata Al-Kubrá (An-Nāzi`āt: 20). 079.020 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. فَأَ‌‍‍رَ‍‌اهُ ‌الآيَةَ ‌الْكُ‍‍بْ‍‍‍رَ‌ى
Fakadhdhaba Wa `Aşá (An-Nāzi`āt: 21). 079.021 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); فَكَذَّبَ ‌وَعَ‍‍‍‍صَ‍‍ى
Thumma 'Adbara Yas`á (An-Nāzi`āt: 22). 079.022 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against God). ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌أَ‌دْبَ‍‍‍رَ‌ يَسْعَى
Faĥashara Fanādá (An-Nāzi`āt: 23). 079.023 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, فَحَشَ‍‍‍رَ‌ فَنَا‌دَ‌ى
Faqāla 'Anā Rabbukumu Al-'A`lá (An-Nāzi`āt: 24). 079.024 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". فَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌أَنَا ‍رَبُّكُمُ ‌الأَعْلَى
Fa'akhadhahu Allāhu Nakāla Al-'Ākhirati Wa Al-'Ūlá (An-Nāzi`āt: 25). 079.025 But God did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. فَأَ‍‍خَ‍‍ذَهُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ نَك‍‍َالَ ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ ‌وَ‌الأ‍ُ‍‌ولَى
'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Liman Yakhshá (An-Nāzi`āt: 26). 079.026 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (God). إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَعِ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍‍رَة ً‌ لِمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍خْ‍‍شَى
'A'antum 'Ashaddu Khalqāan 'Ami As-Samā'u ۚ Banāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 27). 079.027 What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (God) hath constructed it: أَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ ‌أَشَدُّ‌ خَ‍‍لْ‍‍ق‍‍اً أَمِ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ ۚ بَنَاهَا
Rafa`a Samkahā Fasawwāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 28). 079.028 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. ‍‍‍رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا‌ فَسَوَّ‌اهَا
Wa 'Aghţasha Laylahā Wa 'Akhraja Đuĥāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 29). 079.029 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). وَ‌أَ‍‍غْ‍‍طَ‍‍شَ لَيْلَهَا وَ‌أَ‍خْ‍رَجَ ضُ‍‍حَاهَا
Wa Al-'Arđa Ba`da Dhālika Daĥāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 30). 079.030 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); وَ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ‌دَحَاهَا
'Akhraja Minhā Mā'ahā Wa Mar`āhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 31). 079.031 He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture; أَ‍‍خْ‍رَجَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ م‍‍َا‌ءَهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا
Wa Al-Jibāla 'Arsāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 32). 079.032 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- وَ‌الْجِب‍‍َالَ ‌أَ‌رْسَاهَا
Matā`āan Lakum Wa Li'an`āmikum (An-Nāzi`āt: 33). 079.033 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. مَتَاعاً لَكُمْ ‌وَلِأَ‌نْ‍‍عَامِكُمْ
Fa'idhā Jā'ati Aţ-Ţāmmatu Al-Kubrá (An-Nāzi`āt: 34). 079.034 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَتِ ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍طَّ‍‍امَّ‍‍ةُ ‌الْكُ‍‍بْ‍‍‍رَ‌ى
Yawma Yatadhakkaru Al-'Insānu Mā Sa`á (An-Nāzi`āt: 35). 079.035 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, يَ‍‍وْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ‌ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانُ مَا‌ سَعَى
Wa Burrizati Al-Jaĥīmu Liman Yará (An-Nāzi`āt: 36). 079.036 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- وَبُرِّ‌زَتِ ‌الْجَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ لِمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍‍رَ‌ى
Fa'ammā Man Ţaghá (An-Nāzi`āt: 37). 079.037 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, فَأَمَّ‍‍ا‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ طَ‍‍غَ‍‍ى
Wa 'Āthara Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā (An-Nāzi`āt: 38). 079.038 And had preferred the life of this world, وَ‌آثَ‍‍‍رَ‌الْحَي‍‍َاةَ ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا
Fa'inna Al-Jaĥīma Hiya Al-Ma'w5 (An-Nāzi`āt: 39). 079.039 The Abode will be Hell-Fire; فَإِنّ‌َ ‌الْجَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ هِيَ ‌الْمَأْ‌وَ‌ى
Wa 'Ammā Man Khāfa Maqāma Rabbihi Wa Nahá An-Nafsa `Ani Al-Hawá (An-Nāzi`āt: 40). 079.040 And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, وَ‌أَمَّ‍‍ا‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ خَ‍افَ مَ‍‍قَ‍امَ ‌‍رَبِّهِ ‌وَنَهَى‌ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍فْسَ عَنِ ‌الْهَوَ‌ى
Fa'inna Al-Jannata Hiya Al-Ma'w5 (An-Nāzi`āt: 41). 079.041 Their abode will be the Garden. فَإِنّ‌َ ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةَ هِيَ ‌الْمَأْ‌وَ‌ى
Yas'alūnaka `Ani As-Sā`ati 'Ayyāna Mursāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 42). 079.042 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ ‌ال‍‍سَّاعَةِ ‌أَيّ‍‍َانَ مُرْسَاهَا
Fīma 'Anta Min Dhikhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 43). 079.043 Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌ذِكْ‍‍‍رَ‌اهَا
'Ilá Rabbika Muntahāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 44). 079.044 With thy Lord in the Limit fixed therefor. إِلَى ‍‍‍رَبِّكَ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَهَاهَا
'Innamā 'Anta Mundhiru Man Yakhshāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 45). 079.045 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ذِ‌رُمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍شَاهَا
Ka'annahum Yawma Yarawnahā Lam Yalbathū 'Illā `Ashīyatan 'Aw Đuĥāhā (An-Nāzi`āt: 46). 079.046 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! كَأَنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَ‍‍وْمَ يَ‍‍‍رَ‌وْنَهَا‌ لَمْ يَلْبَثُ‍‍وا ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَشِيَّةً ‌أَ‌وْ‌ ضُ‍‍حَاهَا
