| Wa Al-Mursalāti `Urfāan | 077.001 By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); | وَالْمُرْسَلاَتِ عُرْفا ً |
| Fāl`āşifāti `Aşfāan | 077.002 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, | فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفا ً |
| Wa An-Nāshirāti Nashrāan | 077.003 And scatter (things) far and wide; | وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرا ً |
| Fālfāriqāti Farqāan | 077.004 Then separate them, one from another, | فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقا ً |
| Fālmulqiyāti Dhikrāan | 077.005 Then spread abroad a Message, | فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرا ً |
| `Udhrāan 'Aw Nudhrāan | 077.006 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- | عُذْراً أَوْ نُذْرا ً |
| 'Innamā Tū`adūna Lawāqi`un | 077.007 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِع ٌ |
| Fa'idhā An-Nujūmu Ţumisat | 077.008 Then when the stars become dim; | فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā As-Samā'u Furijat | 077.009 When the heaven is cleft asunder; | وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā Al-Jibālu Nusifat | 077.010 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; | وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ar-Rusulu 'Uqqitat | 077.011 And when the apostles are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- | وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ |
| L'ayyi Yawmin 'Ujjilat | 077.012 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? | لأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ |
| Liyawmi Al-Faşli | 077.013 For the Day of Sorting out. | لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Yawmu Al-Faşli | 077.014 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.015 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Nuhliki Al-'Awwalīna | 077.016 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? | أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Thumma Nutbi`uhumu Al-'Ākhirīna | 077.017 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. | ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الآخِرِينَ |
| Kadhālika Naf`alu Bil-Mujrimīna | 077.018 Thus do We deal with men of sin. | كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.019 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Nakhluqkum Min Mā'in Mahīnin | 077.020 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- | أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاء ٍ مَهِين ٍ |
| Faja`alnāhu Fī Qarārin Makīnin | 077.021 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, | فَجَعَلْنَاه ُُ فِي قَرَار ٍ مَكِين ٍ |
| 'Ilá Qadarin Ma`lūmin | 077.022 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? | إِلَى قَدَر ٍ مَعْلُوم ٍ |
| Faqadarnā Fani`ma Al-Qādirūna | 077.023 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). | فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.024 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Naj`ali Al-'Arđa Kifātāan | 077.025 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. | أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الأَرْضَ كِفَاتا ً |
| 'Aĥyā'an Wa 'Amwātāan | 077.026 The living and the dead, | أَحْيَاء ً وَأَمْوَاتا ً |
| Wa Ja`alnā Fīhā Rawāsiya Shāmikhātin Wa 'Asqaynākum Mā'an Furātāan | 077.027 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? | وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَات ٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاء ً فُرَاتا ً |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.028 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Anţaliqū 'Ilá Mā Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna | 077.029 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! | انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Anţaliqū 'Ilá Žillin Dhī Thalāthi Shu`abin | 077.030 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, | انطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلّ ٍ ذِي ثَلاَثِ شُعَب ٍ |
| Lā Žalīlin Wa Lā Yughnī Mina Al-Lahabi | 077.031 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. | لاَ ظَلِيل ٍ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ |
| 'Innahā Tarmī Bishararin Kālqaşri | 077.032 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, | إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَر ٍ كَالْقَصْرِ |
| Ka'annahu Jimālatun Şufrun | 077.033 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." | كَأَنَّه ُُ جِمَالَة ٌ صُفْر ٌ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.034 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Hādhā Yawmu Lā Yanţiqūna | 077.035 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. | هَذَا يَوْمُ لاَ يَنطِقُونَ |
| Wa Lā Yu'udhanu Lahum Faya`tadhirūna | 077.036 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. | وَلاَ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.037 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Hādhā Yawmu Al-Faşli Jama`nākum Wa Al-'Awwalīna | 077.038 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! | هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالأَوَّلِينَ |
| Fa'in Kāna Lakum Kaydun Fakīdūni | 077.039 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْد ٌ فَكِيدُونِ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.040 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Žilālin Wa `Uyūnin | 077.041 As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water). | إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلاَل ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ |
| Wa Fawākiha Mimmā Yashtahūna | 077.042 And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire. | وَفَوَاكِه ََ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ |
| Kulū Wa Ashrabū Hanī'āan Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna | 077.043 "Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness). | كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئا ً بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinyna | 077.044 Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good. | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.045 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Kulū Wa Tamatta`ū Qalīlāan 'Innakum Mujrimūna | 077.046 (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners. | كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلا ً إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.047 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Qīla Lahumu Arka`ū Lā Yarka`ūna | 077.048 And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so. | وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لاَ يَرْكَعُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | 077.049 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`dahu Yu'uminūna | 077.050 Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? | فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيث ٍ بَعْدَه ُُ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
