| 'Innā 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmihi 'An 'Andhir Qawmaka Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiyahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun | 071.001 We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." | إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحا ً إِلَى قَوْمِهِ~ِ أَنْ أَنذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Innī Lakum Nadhīrun Mubīnun | 071.002 He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: | قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| 'Ani A`budū Allāha Wa Attaqūhu Wa 'Aţī`ūni | 071.003 "That ye should worship God, fear Him and obey me: | أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوه ُُ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
| Yaghfir Lakum Min Dhunūbikum Wa Yu'uakhkhirkum 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan 'Inna 'Ajala Allāhi 'Idhā Jā'a Lā Yu'uakhkharu Law Kuntum Ta`lamūna | 071.004 "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by God is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." | يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَى أَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لاَ يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Qāla Rabbi 'Innī Da`awtu Qawmī Laylāan Wa Nahārāan | 071.005 He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: | قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلا ً وَنَهَارا ً |
| Falam Yazid/hum Du`ā'ī 'Illā Firārāan | 071.006 "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). | فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلاَّ فِرَارا ً |
| Wa 'Innī Kullamā Da`awtuhum Litaghfira Lahum Ja`alū 'Aşābi`ahum Fī 'Ādhānihim Wa Astaghshaw Thiyābahum Wa 'Aşarrū Wa Astakbarū Astikbārāan | 071.007 "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance. | وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارا ً |
| Thumma 'Innī Da`awtuhum Jihārāan | 071.008 "So I have called to them aloud; | ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارا ً |
| Thumma 'Innī 'A`lantu Lahum Wa 'Asrartu Lahum 'Isrārāan | 071.009 "Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private, | ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارا ً |
| Faqultu Astaghfirū Rabbakum 'Innahu Kāna Ghaffārāan | 071.010 "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; | فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ غَفَّارا ً |
| Yursili As-Samā'a `Alaykum Midrārāan | 071.011 "'He will send rain to you in abundance; | يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارا ً |
| Wa Yumdidkum Bi'amwālin Wa Banīna Wa Yaj`al Lakum Jannātin Wa Yaj`al Lakum 'Anhārāan | 071.012 "'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). | وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَال ٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّات ٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارا ً |
| Mā Lakum Lā Tarjūna Lillāhi Waqārāan | 071.013 "'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in God,- | مَا لَكُمْ لاَ تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارا ً |
| Wa Qad Khalaqakum 'Aţwārāan | 071.014 "'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages? | وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارا ً |
| 'Alam Taraw Kayfa Khalaqa Allāhu Sab`a Samāwātin Ţibāqāan | 071.015 "'See ye not how God has created the seven heavens one above another, | أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَات ٍ طِبَاقا ً |
| Wa Ja`ala Al-Qamara Fīhinna Nūrāan Wa Ja`ala Ash-Shamsa Sirājāan | 071.016 "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp? | وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورا ً وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجا ً |
| Wa Allāhu 'Anbatakum Mina Al-'Arđi Nabātāan | 071.017 "'And God has produced you from the earth growing (gradually), | وَاللَّهُ أَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ نَبَاتا ً |
| Thumma Yu`īdukum Fīhā Wa Yukhrijukum 'Ikhrājāan | 071.018 "'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)? | ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجا ً |
| Wa Allāhu Ja`ala Lakumu Al-'Arđa Bisāţāan | 071.019 "'And God has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out), | وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ بِسَاطا ً |
| Litaslukū Minhā Subulāan Fijājāan | 071.020 "'That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'" | لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلا ً فِجَاجا ً |
| Qāla Nūĥun Rabbi 'Innahum `Aşawnī Wa Attaba`ū Man Lam Yazid/hu Māluhu Wa Waladuhu 'Illā Khasārāan | 071.021 Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss. | قَالَ نُوح ٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُه ُُ وَوَلَدُهُ~ُ إِلاَّ خَسَارا ً |
| Wa Makarū Makrāan Kubbārāan | 071.022 "And they have devised a tremendous Plot. | وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرا ً كُبَّارا ً |
| Wa Qālū Lā Tadharunna 'Ālihatakum Wa Lā Tadharunna Waddāan Wa Lā Suwā`āan Wa Lā Yaghūtha Wa Ya`ūqa Wa Nasrāan | 071.023 "And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';- | وَقَالُوا لاَ تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلاَ تَذَرُنَّ وَدّا ً وَلاَ سُوَاعا ً وَلاَ يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرا ً |
| Wa Qad 'Ađallū Kathīrāan Wa Lā Tazidi Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Đalālāan | 071.024 "They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)." | وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرا ً وَلاَ تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلاَّ ضَلاَلا ً |
| Mimmā Khaţī'ātihim 'Ughriqū Fa'udkhilū Nārāan Falam Yajidū Lahum Min Dūni Allāhi 'Anşārāan | 071.025 Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of God- none to help them. | مِمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارا ً فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْصَارا ً |
| Wa Qāla Nūĥun Rabbi Lā Tadhar `Alá Al-'Arđi Mina Al-Kāfirīna Dayyārāan | 071.026 And Noah, said: "O my Lord! Leave not of the Unbelievers, a single one on earth! | وَقَالَ نُوح ٌ رَبِّ لاَ تَذَرْ عَلَى الأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارا ً |
| 'Innaka 'In Tadharhum Yuđillū `Ibādaka Wa Lā Yalidū 'Illā Fājirāan Kaffārāan | 071.027 "For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones. | إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلاَ يَلِدُوا إِلاَّ فَاجِرا ً كَفَّارا ً |
| Rabbi Aghfir Lī Wa Liwālidayya Wa Liman Dakhala Baytiya Mu'umināan Wa Lilmu'uminīna Wa Al-Mu'umināti Wa Lā Tazidi Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Tabārāan | 071.028 "O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!" | رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنا ً وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلاَ تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلاَّ تَبَارا ً |
