Wa A ttaq ū A ll aha Wa Lā Tukh zū ni (Al-Ĥaj r: 69).
015.069 "But fear God, and shame me not."
Q ālū 'Awalam Nanhaka `Ani A l-`Ālamī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 70).
015.070 They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?"
Q ā la Hā 'uulā ' Banātī 'In Kun tum Fā`ilī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 71).
015.071 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)."
La`am ru ka 'Inn ahum Lafī Sakra tihim Ya`mahū na (Al-Ĥaj r: 72).
015.072 Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro.
Fa'akh adh at/humu A ş -Ş ayĥatu Mush r iq ī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 73).
015.073 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,
Faja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'Am ţ arnā `Alayhim Ĥijāra tan Min Sijjī lin (Al-Ĥaj r: 74).
015.074 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yā tin Lilmutawassimī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 75).
015.075 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand.
Wa 'Inn ahā Labisabī lin Muq ī min (Al-Ĥaj r: 76).
015.076 And the (cities were) right on the high-road.
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan Lilmu'uminī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 77).
015.077 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed.
Wa 'In Kā na 'Aş ĥā bu A l-'Aykati Lažālimī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 78).
015.078 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers;
Fān taq am nā Minhum Wa 'Inn ahumā Labi'imā min Mubī nin (Al-Ĥaj r: 79).
015.079 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see.
Wa Laq ad Kadh dh aba 'Aş ĥā bu A l-Ĥij r i A l-Mursalī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 80).
015.080 The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the apostles:
Wa 'Ātaynāhum 'Āyātinā Fakānū `Anhā Mu`r iđī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 81).
015.081 We sent them Our Sings, but they persisted in turning away from them.
Wa Kānū Yanĥitū na Mina A l-Jibā li Buyūtāan 'Āminī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 82).
015.082 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure.
Fa'akh adh at/humu A ş -Ş ayĥatu Muş biĥī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 83).
015.083 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning,
Famā 'Agh ná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaksibū na (Al-Ĥaj r: 84).
015.084 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)!
Wa Mā Kh alaq nā A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaq q i ۗ Wa 'Inn a A s-Sā`ata La'ā tiyatun ۖ Fāş faĥi A ş -Ş afĥa A l-Jamī la (Al-Ĥaj r: 85).
015.085 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness.
'Inn a Ra bbaka Huwa A l-Kh allā q u A l-`Alī mu (Al-Ĥaj r: 86).
015.086 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things.
Wa Laq ad 'Ātaynā ka Sab `āan Mina A l-Math ānī Wa A l-Q ur'ā na A l-`Ažī ma (Al-Ĥaj r: 87).
015.087 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an.
Lā Tamuddann a `Aynay ka 'Ilá Mā Matta`nā Bihi 'Azwājāan Minhum Wa Lā Taĥzan `Alayhim Wa A kh fiđ Janāĥaka Lilmu'uminī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 88).
015.088 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers.
Wa Q ul 'Inn ī 'Anā A n -Nadh ī r u A l-Mubī nu (Al-Ĥaj r: 89).
015.089 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"-
Kamā 'An zalnā `Alá A l-Muq tasimī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 90).
015.090 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),-
Al-Ladh ī na Ja`alū A l-Q ur'ā na `Iđī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 91).
015.091 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please).
015.092 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account,
`Amm ā Kānū Ya`malū na (Al-Ĥaj r: 93).
015.093 For all their deeds.
Fāş da` Bimā Tu'umaru Wa 'A`r iđ `Ani A l-Mush r ikī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 94).
015.094 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with God.
'Inn ā Kafaynā ka A l-Mustahzi'ī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 95).
015.095 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,-
Al-Ladh ī na Yaj `alū na Ma`a A ll āhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākh ara ۚ Fasaw fa Ya`lamū na (Al-Ĥaj r: 96).
015.096 Those who adopt, with God, another god: but soon will they come to know.
Wa Laq ad Na`lamu 'Ann aka Yađī q u Ş ad ru ka Bimā Yaq ūlū na (Al-Ĥaj r: 97).
015.097 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say.
Fasabbiĥ Biĥam di Ra bbika Wa Kun Mina A s-Sājidī na (Al-Ĥaj r: 98).
015.098 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.
Wa A `bud Ra bbaka Ĥattá Ya'tiyaka A l-Yaq ī nu (Al-Ĥaj r: 99).
015.099 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain.
