'Alif-Lām- ۚ Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Wa Qur'ānin Mubīnin (Al-Ĥajr: 1). 015.001 A. L. R. These are the Ayats of Revelation,- of a Qur'an that makes things clear. أَلِف-لَام-‍‍‍رَ‌ا‌ ۚ تِلْكَ ‌آي‍‍َاتُ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابِ ‌وَقُ‍‍رْ‌آنٍ مُبِينٍ
Rubamā Yawaddu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Law Kānū Muslimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 2). 015.002 Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam. رُبَمَا‌ يَوَ‌دُّ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا لَوْ‌ كَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ
Dharhum Ya'kulū Wa Yatamatta`ū Wa Yulhihimu Al-'Amalu ۖ Fasawfa Ya`lamūna (Al-Ĥajr: 3). 015.003 Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them). ذَ‌رْهُمْ يَأْكُلُوا ‌وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا ‌وَيُلْهِهِمُ ‌الأَمَلُ ۖ فَسَ‍‍وْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Mā 'Ahlaknā Min Qaryatin 'Illā Wa Lahā Kitābun Ma`lūmun (Al-Ĥajr: 4). 015.004 Never did We destroy a population that had not a term decreed and assigned beforehand. وَمَ‍‍ا أَهْلَكْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍رْيَةٍ ‌إِلاَّ وَلَهَا‌ كِت‍‍َابٌ مَعْلُومٌ
Mā Tasbiqu Min 'Ummatin 'Ajalahā Wa Mā Yasta'khirūna (Al-Ĥajr: 5). 015.005 Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it. مَا‌ تَسْبِ‍‍‍‍قُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ ‌أَجَلَهَا وَمَا‌ يَسْتَأْخِ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Wa Qālū Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhī Nuzzila `Alayhi Adh-Dhikru 'Innaka Lamajnūnun (Al-Ĥajr: 6). 015.006 They say: "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)! وَ‍‍قَ‍‍الُوا يَ‍‍ا أَيُّهَا‌ ‌الَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌ال‍‍ذِّكْرُ إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَمَ‍‍جْ‍‍نُونٌ
Law Mā Ta'tīnā Bil-Malā'ikati 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna (Al-Ĥajr: 7). 015.007 "Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?" لَوْ‌ مَا‌ تَأْتِينَا‌ بِ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍صَّ‍‍ا‌دِ‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Mā Nunazzilu Al-Malā'ikata 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Mā Kānū 'Idhāan Munžarīna (Al-Ĥajr: 8). 015.008 We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have! مَا‌ نُنَزِّلُ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍‍‍قِّ ‌وَمَا‌ كَانُ‍‍وا ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً مُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍‍‍ظَ‍‍رِينَ
'Innā Naĥnu Nazzalnā Adh-Dhikra Wa 'Innā Lahu Laĥāfižūna (Al-Ĥajr: 9). 015.009 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا‌ ‌ال‍‍ذِّكْ‍‍‍رَ وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَهُ لَحَافِ‍‍ظُ‍‍ونَ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Fī Shiya`i Al-'Awwalīna (Al-Ĥajr: 10). 015.010 We did send apostles before thee amongst the religious sects of old: وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ‌الأَ‌وَّلِينَ
Wa Mā Ya'tīhim Min Rasūlin 'Illā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūna (Al-Ĥajr: 11). 015.011 But never came an apostle to them but they mocked him. وَمَا‌ يَأْتِيهِمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍‍‍رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ُ‍‍ونَ
Kadhālika Naslukuhu Fī Qulūbi Al-Mujrimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 12). 015.012 Even so do we let it creep into the hearts of the sinners - كَذَلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُ فِي قُ‍‍ل‍‍ُ‍وبِ ‌الْمُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمِينَ
Lā Yu'uminūna Bihi ۖ Wa Qad Khalat Sunnatu Al-'Awwalīna (Al-Ĥajr: 13). 015.013 That they should not believe in the (Message); but the ways of the ancients have passed away. لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِهِ ۖ ‌وَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْخَ‍‍لَتْ سُ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةُ ‌الأَ‌وَّلِينَ
Wa Law Fataĥnā `Alayhim Bābāan Mina As-Samā'i Fažallū Fīhi Ya`rujūna (Al-Ĥajr: 14). 015.014 Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein, وَلَوْ‌ فَتَحْنَا‌ عَلَيْهِمْ بَاباً مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ فَ‍‍‍‍ظَ‍‍لُّوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ يَعْرُجُونَ
Laqālū 'Innamā Sukkirat 'Abşārunā Bal Naĥnu Qawmun Masĥūrūna (Al-Ĥajr: 15). 015.015 They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery." لَ‍‍قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ سُكِّ‍رَتْ ‌أَبْ‍‍‍‍صَ‍‍ا‌رُنَا‌ بَلْ نَحْنُ قَ‍‍وْمٌ مَسْحُو‌رُ‌ونَ
Wa Laqad Ja`alnā Fī As-Samā'i Burūjāan Wa Zayyannāhā Lilnnāžirīna (Al-Ĥajr: 16). 015.016 It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders; وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ جَعَلْنَا‌ فِي ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ بُرُ‌وجاً ‌وَ‌زَيَّ‍‍نَّ‍‍اهَا‌ لِل‍‍نَّ‍‍اظِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa Ĥafižnāhā Min Kulli Shayţānin Rajīmin (Al-Ĥajr: 17). 015.017 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every evil spirit accursed: وَحَفِ‍‍‍‍ظْ‍‍نَاهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ شَيْ‍‍طَ‍انٍ ‌‍رَجِيمٍ
'Illā Mani Astaraqa As-Sam`a Fa'atba`ahu Shihābun Mubīnun (Al-Ĥajr: 18). 015.018 But any that gains a hearing by stealth, is pursued by a flaming fire, bright (to see). إِلاَّ‌ مَنِ ‌اسْتَ‍‍‍رَقَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِه‍‍َابٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Al-'Arđa Madadnāhā Wa 'Alqaynā Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Shay'in Mawzūnin (Al-Ĥajr: 19). 015.019 And the earth We have spread out (like a carpet); set thereon mountains firm and immovable; and produced therein all kinds of things in due balance. وَ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضَ مَدَ‌دْنَاهَا وَ‌أَلْ‍‍قَ‍‍يْنَا‌ فِيهَا ‍رَ‌وَ‌اسِيَ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍بَتْنَا‌ فِيهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ مَوْ‌زُ‌ونٍ
Wa Ja`alnā Lakum Fīhā Ma`āyisha Wa Man Lastum Lahu Biziqīna (Al-Ĥajr: 20). 015.020 And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible. وَجَعَلْنَا‌ لَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ مَعَايِشَ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ لَسْتُمْ لَهُ بِ‍‍‍رَ‌ا‌زِ‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Wa 'In Min Shay'in 'Illā `Indanā Khazā'inuhu Wa Mā Nunazziluhu 'Illā Biqadarin Ma`lūmin (Al-Ĥajr: 21). 015.021 And there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures. وَ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍‍يْء‌‌ٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَنَا‌ خَ‍‍ز‍َ‍‌ائِنُهُ ‌وَمَا‌ نُنَزِّلُهُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِ‍‍قَ‍‍دَ‌ر‌ٍ مَعْلُومٍ
Wa 'Arsalnā Ar-Riyāĥa Lawāqiĥa Fa'anzalnā Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fa'asqaynākumūhu Wa Mā 'Antum Lahu Bikhāzinīna (Al-Ĥajr: 22). 015.022 And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. وَ‌أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ ‌ال‍‍رِّي‍‍َاحَ لَوَ‌ا‍‍قِ‍‍حَ فَأَ‌نْ‍‍زَلْنَا‌ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ م‍‍َا‌ءً فَأَسْ‍‍قَ‍‍يْنَاكُم‍‍ُ‍وهُ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ لَهُ بِ‍‍خَ‍‍ا‌زِنِينَ
Wa 'Innā Lanaĥnu Nuĥyī Wa Numītu Wa Naĥnu Al-Wārithūna (Al-Ĥajr: 23). 015.023 And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَنَحْنُ نُحْيِي ‌وَنُم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍تُ ‌وَنَحْنُ ‌الْوَ‌ا‌رِثُونَ
Wa Laqad `Alim Al-Mustaqdimīna Minkum Wa Laqad `Alim Al-Musta'khirīna (Al-Ĥajr: 24). 015.024 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ عَلِمْنَا‌ ‌الْمُسْتَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍دِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ عَلِمْنَا‌ ‌الْمُسْتَأْخِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Huwa Yaĥshuruhum ۚ 'Innahu Ĥakīmun `Alīmun (Al-Ĥajr: 25). 015.025 Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge. وَ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍‍‍رَبَّكَ هُوَ‌ يَحْشُرُهُمْ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ حَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ عَلِيمٌ
Wa Laqad Khalaq Al-'Insāna Min Şalşālin Min Ĥama'iin Masnūnin (Al-Ĥajr: 26). 015.026 We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape; وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْخَ‍‍لَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍نَا‌ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ صَ‍‍لْ‍‍صَ‍الٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَمَإ‌ٍ مَسْنُونٍ
Wa Al-Jānna Khalaqnāhu Min Qablu Min Nāri As-Samūmi (Al-Ĥajr: 27). 015.027 And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. وَ‌الْج‍‍َانّ‌َ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍ن‍‍َاهُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ن‍‍َا‌رِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمُومِ
Wa 'Idh Qāla Rabbuka Lilmalā'ikati 'Innī Khāliqun Bashaan Min Şalşālin Min Ĥama'iin Masnūnin (Al-Ĥajr: 28). 015.028 Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; وَ‌إِ‌ذْ‌ قَ‍الَ ‌‍رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي خَ‍‍الِ‍‍قٌ بَشَر‌اً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ صَ‍‍لْ‍‍صَ‍الٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَمَإ‌ٍ مَسْنُونٍ
Fa'idhā Sawwaytuhu Wa Nafakhtu Fīhi Min Rūĥī Faqa`ū Lahu Sājidīna (Al-Ĥajr: 29). 015.029 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ سَوَّيْتُهُ ‌وَنَفَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍تُ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌رُ‌وحِي فَ‍‍قَ‍‍عُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
Fasajada Al-Malā'ikatu Kulluhum 'Ajma`ūna (Al-Ĥajr: 30). 015.030 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: فَسَجَدَ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعُونَ
'Illā 'Iblīsa 'Abá 'An Yakūna Ma`a As-Sājidīna (Al-Ĥajr: 31). 015.031 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. إِلاَّ إِبْ‍‍ل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍سَ ‌أَبَ‍‍ى أَ‌ن‌ْ يَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَعَ ‌ال‍‍سَّاجِدِينَ
Qāla Yā 'Iblīsu Mā Laka 'Allā Takūna Ma`a As-Sājidīna (Al-Ĥajr: 32). 015.032 (God) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" قَ‍الَ يَ‍‍ا إِبْ‍‍ل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍سُ مَا‌ لَكَ ‌أَلاَّ‌ تَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَعَ ‌ال‍‍سَّاجِدِينَ
Qāla Lam 'Akun Li'sjuda Libasharin Khalaqtahu Min Şalşālin Min Ĥama'iin Masnūnin (Al-Ĥajr: 33). 015.033 (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." قَ‍الَ لَمْ ‌أَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ لِأسْجُدَ‌ لِبَشَرٍ‌ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍تَهُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ صَ‍‍لْ‍‍صَ‍الٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَمَإ‌ٍ مَسْنُونٍ
Qāla Fākhruj Minhā Fa'innaka Rajīmun (Al-Ĥajr: 34). 015.034 (God) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. قَ‍الَ فَاخْ‍‍رُج‌ْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ فَإِنَّ‍‍كَ ‌‍رَجِيمٌ
Wa 'Inna `Alayka Al-La`nata 'Ilá Yawmi Ad-Dīni (Al-Ĥajr: 35). 015.035 "And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment." وَ‌إِنّ‌َ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌ال‍‍لَّعْنَةَ ‌إِلَى‌ يَ‍‍وْمِ ‌ال‍‍دِّينِ
Qāla Rabbi Fa'anžirnī 'Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna (Al-Ĥajr: 36). 015.036 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." قَ‍الَ ‌‍رَبِّ فَأَ‌نْ‍‍‍‍ظِ‍‍ر‌ْنِ‍‍ي ‌إِلَى‌ يَ‍‍وْمِ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍عَثُونَ
Qāla Fa'innaka Mina Al-Munžarīna (Al-Ĥajr: 37). 015.037 (God) said: "Respite is granted thee قَ‍الَ فَإِنَّ‍‍كَ مِنَ ‌الْمُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍‍‍ظَ‍‍رِينَ
'Ilá Yawmi Al-Waqti Al-Ma`lūmi (Al-Ĥajr: 38). 015.038 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." إِلَى‌ يَ‍‍وْمِ ‌الْوَ‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍تِ ‌الْمَعْلُومِ
Qāla Rabbi Bimā 'Aghwaytanī La'uzayyinanna Lahum Al-'Arđi Wa La'ughwiyannahum 'Ajma`īna (Al-Ĥajr: 39). 015.039 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- قَ‍الَ ‌‍رَبِّ بِمَ‍‍ا أَغْ‍‍وَيْتَنِي لَأُ‌زَيِّنَ‍‍نّ‌َ لَهُمْ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَلَأُغْ‍‍وِيَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
'Illā `Ibādaka Minhumu Al-Mukhlaşīna (Al-Ĥajr: 40). 015.040 "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." إِلاَّ‌ عِبَا‌دَكَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمُ ‌الْمُ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍لَ‍‍صِ‍‍ينَ
Qāla Hādhā Şiţun `Alayya Mustaqīmun (Al-Ĥajr: 41). 015.041 (God) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. قَ‍الَ هَذَ‌ا‌ صِ‍رَ‍‌اطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَ‍‍قِ‍‍يمٌ
'Inna `Ibādī Laysa Laka `Alayhim Sulţānun 'Illā Mani Attaba`aka Mina Al-Ghāwīna (Al-Ĥajr: 42). 015.042 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." إِنّ‌َ عِبَا‌دِي لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْ‍‍‍‍طَ‍انٌ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَنِ ‌اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍غَ‍‍ا‌وِينَ
Wa 'Inna Jahannama Lamaw`iduhum 'Ajma`īna (Al-Ĥajr: 43). 015.043 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! وَ‌إِنّ‌َ جَهَ‍‍نَّ‍‍مَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
Lahā Sab`atu 'Abwābin Likulli Bābin Minhum Juz'un Maqsūmun (Al-Ĥajr: 44). 015.044 To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. لَهَا‌ سَ‍‍بْ‍‍عَةُ ‌أَبْ‍‍و‍َ‍‌ابٍ لِكُلِّ ب‍‍َابٍ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ جُزْ‌ءٌ مَ‍‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍سُومٌ
'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin (Al-Ĥajr: 45). 015.045 The righteous (will be) amid gardens and fountains (of clear-flowing water). إِنّ‌َ ‌الْمُتَّ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍ي‍‍نَ فِي جَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَعُيُونٍ
Adkhulūhā Bisalāmin 'Āminīna (Al-Ĥajr: 46). 015.046 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." ا‌دْ‍‍‍‍خُ‍‍لُوهَا‌ بِسَلاَمٍ ‌آمِنِينَ
Wa Naza`nā Mā Fī Şudūrihim Min Ghillin 'Ikhwānāan `Alá Sururin Mutaqābilīna (Al-Ĥajr: 47). 015.047 And We shall remove from their hearts any lurking sense of injury: (they will be) brothers (joyfully) facing each other on thrones (of dignity). وَنَزَعْنَا‌ مَا‌ فِي صُ‍‍دُ‌و‌رِهِمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ غِ‍‍لٍّ ‌إِخْ‍‍وَ‌اناً‌ عَلَى‌ سُرُ‌ر‌ٍ مُتَ‍‍قَ‍‍ابِلِينَ
Lā Yamassuhum Fīhā Naşabun Wa Mā Hum Minhā Bimukhrajīna (Al-Ĥajr: 48). 015.048 There no sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave. لاَ‌ يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا‌ نَ‍‍‍‍صَ‍‍بٌ ‌وَمَا‌ هُمْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ بِمُ‍‍خْ‍رَجِينَ
Nabbi' `Ibādī 'Annī 'Anā Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu (Al-Ĥajr: 49). 015.049 Tell My servants that I am indeed the Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful; نَبِّئْ عِبَا‌دِي ‌أَنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَنَا‌ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌رُ‌ ‌ال‍رَّحِيمُ
Wa 'Anna `Adhābī Huwa Al-`Adhābu Al-'Alīmu (Al-Ĥajr: 50). 015.050 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. وَ‌أَنّ‌َ عَذَ‌ابِي هُوَ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ ‌الأَلِيمُ
Wa Nabbi'hum `An Đayfi 'Ibhīma (Al-Ĥajr: 51). 015.051 Tell them about the guests of Abraham. وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ضَ‍‍يْ‍‍فِ ‌إِبْ‍‍‍رَ‌اهِيمَ
'Idh Dakhalū `Alayhi Faqālū Salāmāan Qāla 'Innā Minkum Wajilūna (Al-Ĥajr: 52). 015.052 When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" إِ‌ذْ دَ‍‍خَ‍‍لُوا عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ فَ‍‍قَ‍‍الُوا سَلاَماً قَ‍الَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌وَجِلُونَ
Qālū Lā Tawjal 'Innā Nubashshiruka Bighulāmin `Alīmin (Al-Ĥajr: 53). 015.053 They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." قَ‍‍الُوا لاَ‌ تَوْجَلْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ نُبَشِّرُكَ بِ‍‍غُ‍‍لاَمٍ عَلِيمٍ
Qāla 'Abashshartumūnī `Alá 'An Massaniya Al-Kibaru Fabima Tubashshirūna (Al-Ĥajr: 54). 015.054 He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" قَ‍الَ ‌أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَ‍‍ى أَ‌ن‌ْ مَسَّنِيَ ‌الْكِبَرُ‌ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُ‌ونَ
Qālū Bashsharnāka Bil-Ĥaqqi Falā Takun Mina Al-Qāniţīna (Al-Ĥajr: 55). 015.055 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" قَ‍‍الُوا بَشَّرْن‍‍َاكَ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍قِّ فَلاَ‌ تَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍انِ‍‍طِ‍‍ينَ
Qāla Wa Man Yaqnaţu Min Raĥmati Rabbihi 'Illā Ađ-Đāllūna (Al-Ĥajr: 56). 015.056 He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" قَ‍الَ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍نَ‍‍طُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَحْمَةِ ‌‍رَبِّهِ ‌إِلاَّ ‌ال‍‍ضَّ‍‍الُّونَ
Qāla Famā Khaţbukum 'Ayyuhā Al-Mursalūna (Al-Ĥajr: 57). 015.057 Abraham said: "What then is the business on which ye (have come), O ye messengers (of God)?" قَ‍الَ فَمَا‌ خَ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍بُكُمْ ‌أَيُّهَا‌ ‌الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Qālū 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmin Mujrimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 58). 015.058 They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا أُ‌رْسِلْنَ‍‍ا إِلَى‌ قَ‍‍وْمٍ مُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمِينَ
'Illā 'Āla Lūţin 'Innā Lamunajjūhum 'Ajma`īna (Al-Ĥajr: 59). 015.059 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - إِلاَّ آلَ ل‍‍ُ‍و‍‍‍‍‍ط‌ٍ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
'Illā Amra'atahu Qaddarnā ۙ 'Innahā Lamina Al-Ghābirīna (Al-Ĥajr: 60). 015.060 "Except his wife, who, We have ascertained, will be among those who will lag behind." إِلاَّ ‌امْ‍‍‍رَ‌أَتَهُ قَ‍‍دَّ‌رْنَ‍‍اۙ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هَا‌ لَمِنَ ‌الْ‍‍غَ‍‍ابِ‍‍رِينَ
Falammā Jā'a 'Āla Lūţin Al-Mursalūna (Al-Ĥajr: 61). 015.061 At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ آلَ ل‍‍ُ‍و‍‍‍‍‍ط‌ٍ ‌الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Qāla 'Innakum Qawmun Munkarūna (Al-Ĥajr: 62). 015.062 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." قَ‍الَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ قَ‍‍وْمٌ مُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كَرُ‌ونَ
Qālū Bal Ji'nāka Bimā Kānū Fīhi Yamtarūna (Al-Ĥajr: 63). 015.063 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. قَ‍‍الُوا بَلْ جِئْن‍‍َاكَ بِمَا‌ كَانُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ يَمْتَرُ‌ونَ
Wa 'Ataynāka Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Innā Laşādiqūna (Al-Ĥajr: 64). 015.064 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. وَ‌أَتَيْن‍‍َاكَ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍‍‍قِّ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَ‍‍صَ‍‍ا‌دِ‍قُ‍‍ونَ
Fa'asri Bi'ahlika Biqiţ`in Mina Al-Layli Wa Attabi` 'Adrahum Wa Lā Yaltafit Minkum 'Aĥadun Wa Amđū Ĥaythu Tu'umarūna (Al-Ĥajr: 65). 015.065 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." فَأَسْ‍‍رِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍عٍ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّ‍‍يْ‍‍لِ ‌وَ‌اتَّبِعْ ‌أَ‌دْبَا‌‍رَهُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَلْتَفِتْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌أَحَدٌ ‌وَ‌امْ‍‍ضُ‍‍وا حَ‍‍يْ‍‍ثُ تُؤْمَرُ‌ونَ
Wa Qađaynā 'Ilayhi Dhālika Al-'Amra 'Anna Dābira Hā'uulā' Maqţū`un Muşbiĥīna (Al-Ĥajr: 66). 015.066 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. وَ‍‍قَ‍ضَ‍‍يْنَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌ذَلِكَ ‌الأَمْ‍رَ أَنّ‌َ ‌دَ‌ابِ‍‍رَ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ مَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍‍‍طُ‍‍وعٌ مُ‍‍صْ‍‍بِحِينَ
Wa Jā'a 'Ahlu Al-Madīnati Yastabshirūna (Al-Ĥajr: 67). 015.067 The inhabitants of the city came in (mad) joy (at news of the young men). وَج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَهْلُ ‌الْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَ‍‍بْ‍‍شِرُ‌ونَ
Qāla 'Inna Hā'uulā' Đayf99 Falā Tafđaĥūni (Al-Ĥajr: 68). 015.068 Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: قَ‍الَ ‌إِنّ‌َ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ ضَ‍‍يْفِي فَلاَ‌ تَفْ‍‍ضَ‍‍حُونِ
Wa Attaqū Allaha Wa Lā Tukhzūni (Al-Ĥajr: 69). 015.069 "But fear God, and shame me not." وَ‌اتَّ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تُ‍‍خْ‍‍زُ‌ونِ
Qālū 'Awalam Nanhaka `Ani Al-`Ālamīna (Al-Ĥajr: 70). 015.070 They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?" قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌وَلَمْ نَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَكَ عَنِ ‌الْعَالَمِينَ
Qāla Hā'uulā' Banātī 'In Kuntum Fā`ilīna (Al-Ĥajr: 71). 015.071 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." قَ‍الَ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ بَنَاتِ‍‍ي ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
La`amruka 'Innahum Lafī Sakratihim Ya`mahūna (Al-Ĥajr: 72). 015.072 Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro. لَعَمْرُكَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ لَفِي سَكْ‍‍‍رَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Mushriqīna (Al-Ĥajr: 73). 015.073 But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning, فَأَ‍‍خَ‍‍ذَتْهُمُ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍يْحَةُ مُشْ‍‍رِ‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Faja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'Amţarnā `Alayhim Ĥijāratan Min Sijjīlin (Al-Ĥajr: 74). 015.074 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. فَجَعَلْنَا‌ عَالِيَهَا‌ سَافِلَهَا وَ‌أَمْ‍‍‍‍طَ‍‍رْنَا‌ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَا‌‍رَةً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سِجِّيلٍ
'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Lilmutawassimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 75). 015.075 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآي‍‍َاتٍ لِلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Wa 'Innahā Labisabīlin Muqīmin (Al-Ĥajr: 76). 015.076 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هَا‌ لَبِسَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٍ مُ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يمٍ
'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Lilmu'uminīna (Al-Ĥajr: 77). 015.077 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa 'In Kāna 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati Lažālimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 78). 015.078 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; وَ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أَ‍‍صْ‍‍ح‍‍َابُ ‌الأَيْكَةِ لَ‍‍ظَ‍‍الِمِينَ
ntaqamnā Minhum Wa 'Innahumā Labi'imāmin Mubīnin (Al-Ĥajr: 79). 015.079 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. فَا‌نْ‍‍تَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍مْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمَا‌ لَبِإِم‍‍َامٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa Laqad Kadhdhaba 'Aşĥābu Al-Ĥijri Al-Mursalīna (Al-Ĥajr: 80). 015.080 The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the apostles: وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ كَذَّبَ ‌أَ‍صْ‍‍ح‍‍َابُ ‌الْحِ‍‍جْ‍‍رِ ‌الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa 'Ātaynāhum 'Āyātinā Fakānū `Anhā Mu`rīna (Al-Ĥajr: 81). 015.081 We sent them Our Sings, but they persisted in turning away from them. وَ‌آتَيْنَاهُمْ ‌آيَاتِنَا‌ فَكَانُوا عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ مُعْ‍‍رِ‍‍‍‍ضِ‍‍ينَ
Wa Kānū Yanĥitūna Mina Al-Jibāli Buyūtāan 'Āminīna (Al-Ĥajr: 82). 015.082 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. وَكَانُوا يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍حِت‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْجِب‍‍َالِ بُيُوتاً ‌آمِنِينَ
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Muşbiĥīna (Al-Ĥajr: 83). 015.083 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, فَأَ‍‍خَ‍‍ذَتْهُمُ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍يْحَةُ مُ‍‍صْ‍‍بِحِينَ
Famā 'Aghná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaksibūna (Al-Ĥajr: 84). 015.084 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! فَمَ‍‍ا أَ‍‍غْ‍‍نَى‌ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Mā Khalaq As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi ۗ Wa 'Inna As-Sā`ata La'ātiyatun ۖşfaĥi Aş-Şafĥa Al-Jamīla (Al-Ĥajr: 85). 015.085 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. وَمَا‌ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍نَا‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضَ ‌وَمَا‌ بَيْنَهُمَ‍‍ا إِلاَّ‌ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍قِّ ۗ ‌وَ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌ال‍‍سَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصْ‍‍فَحِ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍فْحَ ‌الْجَمِيلَ
'Inna Rabbaka Huwa Al-Khallāqu Al-`Alīmu (Al-Ĥajr: 86). 015.086 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. إِنّ‌َ ‌‍‍‍رَبَّكَ هُوَ ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍لاَّ‍‍قُ ‌الْعَلِيمُ
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynāka Sab`āan Mina Al-Mathānī Wa Al-Qur'āna Al-`Ažīma (Al-Ĥajr: 87). 015.087 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ آتَيْن‍‍َاكَ سَ‍‍بْ‍‍عاً مِنَ ‌الْمَثَانِي ‌وَ‌الْ‍‍قُ‍‍رْ‌آنَ ‌الْعَ‍‍ظِ‍‍يمَ
Lā Tamuddanna `Aynayka 'Ilá Mā Matta`nā Bihi 'Azwājāan Minhum Wa Lā Taĥzan `Alayhim Wa Akhfiđ Janāĥaka Lilmu'uminīna (Al-Ĥajr: 88). 015.088 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. لاَ‌ تَمُدَّنّ‌َ عَيْنَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌إِلَى‌ مَا‌ مَتَّعْنَا‌ بِهِ ‌أَ‌زْ‌وَ‌اجاً مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَحْزَ‌ن‌ْ عَلَيْهِمْ ‌وَ‌ا‍‍خْ‍‍فِ‍‍ضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Qul 'Innī 'Anā An-Nadhīru Al-Mubīnu (Al-Ĥajr: 89). 015.089 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- وَ‍‍قُ‍‍لْ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَنَا‌ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رُ‌الْمُبِينُ
Kamā 'Anzalnā `Alá Al-Muqtasimīna (Al-Ĥajr: 90). 015.090 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- كَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍زَلْنَا‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الْمُ‍‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍تَسِمِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Ja`alū Al-Qur'āna `Iđīna (Al-Ĥajr: 91). 015.091 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ جَعَلُوا ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍رْ‌آنَ عِ‍‍ضِ‍‍ينَ
Fawarabbika Lanas'alannahum 'Ajma`īna (Al-Ĥajr: 92). 015.092 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, فَوَ‌‍‍‍رَبِّكَ لَنَسْأَلَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
`Ammā Kānū Ya`malūna (Al-Ĥajr: 93). 015.093 For all their deeds. عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
şda` Bimā Tu'umaru Wa 'A`riđ `Ani Al-Mushrikīna (Al-Ĥajr: 94). 015.094 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with God. فَا‍‍صْ‍‍دَعْ بِمَا‌ تُؤْمَرُ وَ‌أَعْ‍‍رِ‍ضْ عَنِ ‌الْمُشْ‍‍رِكِينَ
'Innā Kafaynāka Al-Mustahzi'īna (Al-Ĥajr: 95). 015.095 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ كَفَيْن‍‍َاكَ ‌الْمُسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ِ‍‍ينَ
Al-Ladhīna Yaj`alūna Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara ۚ Fasawfa Ya`lamūna (Al-Ĥajr: 96). 015.096 Those who adopt, with God, another god: but soon will they come to know. ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍عَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَعَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِلَهاً ‌آ‍‍‍‍خَ‍رَۚ فَسَ‍‍وْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Laqad Na`lamu 'Annaka Yađīqu Şadruka Bimā Yaqūlūna (Al-Ĥajr: 97). 015.097 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ نَعْلَمُ ‌أَنَّ‍‍كَ يَ‍‍ضِ‍‍ي‍‍قُ صَ‍‍دْ‌رُكَ بِمَا‌ يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُونَ
Fasabbiĥ Biĥamdi Rabbika Wa Kun Mina As-Sājidīna (Al-Ĥajr: 98). 015.098 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ ‍‍‍رَبِّكَ ‌وَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّاجِدِينَ
Wa A`bud Rabbaka Ĥattá Ya'tiyaka Al-Yaqīnu (Al-Ĥajr: 99). 015.099 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. وَ‌اعْبُ‍‍دْ ‍‍‍رَبَّكَ حَتَّى‌ يَأْتِيَكَ ‌الْيَ‍‍قِ‍‍ينُ
