'Atá 'Amru Allāhi Falā Tasta`jilūhu ۚ Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna (An-Naĥl: 1). 016.001 (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of God: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! أَتَ‍‍ى أَمْرُ‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ فَلاَ‌ تَسْتَعْجِل‍‍ُ‍وهُ ۚ سُ‍‍بْ‍‍حَانَهُ ‌وَتَعَالَى‌ عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ يُشْ‍‍رِكُونَ
Yunazzilu Al-Malā'ikata Bir-Rūĥi Min 'Amrihi `Alá Man Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi 'An 'Andhirū 'Annahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā 'Anā Fa Attaqūni (An-Naĥl: 2). 016.002 He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." يُنَزِّلُ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةَ بِ‌ال‍‍رّ‍ُ‍‌وحِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَمْ‍‍رِهِ عَلَى‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَش‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ عِبَا‌دِهِ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍ذِ‌رُ‌وا ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُ لاَ إِلَهَ ‌إِلاَّ أَنَا‌ فَاتَّ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ونِ
Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna (An-Naĥl: 3). 016.003 He has created the heavens and the earth for just ends: Far is He above having the partners they ascribe to Him! خَ‍‍لَ‍قَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضَ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍قِّ ۚ تَعَالَى‌ عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ يُشْ‍‍رِكُونَ
Khalaqa Al-'Insāna Min Nuţfatin Fa'idhā Huwa Khaşīmun Mubīnun (An-Naĥl: 4). 016.004 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! خَ‍‍لَ‍قَ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ نُ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍فَةٍ فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ هُوَ خَ‍‍صِ‍‍ي‍‍مٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Al-'An`āma Khalaqahā ۗ Lakum Fīhā Dif'un Wa Manāfi`u Wa Minhā Ta'kulūna (An-Naĥl: 5). 016.005 And cattle He has created for you (men): from them ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, and of their (meat) ye eat. وَ‌الأَنع‍‍َامَ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ‍‍هَا‌ ۗ لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ ‌وَمَنَافِعُ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ تَأْكُلُونَ
Wa Lakum Fīhā Jamālun Ĥīna Turīĥūna Wa Ĥīna Tasraĥūna (An-Naĥl: 6). 016.006 And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning. وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ جَم‍‍َالٌ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تُ‍‍رِيح‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌وَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَسْ‍‍‍رَحُونَ
Wa Taĥmilu 'Athqālakum 'Ilá Baladin Lam Takūnū Bālighīhi 'Illā Bishiqqi Al-'Anfusi ۚ 'Inna Rabbakum Lara'ūfun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 7). 016.007 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, وَتَحْمِلُ ‌أَثْ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍الَكُمْ ‌إِلَى‌ بَلَد‌ٍ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَالِ‍‍غِ‍‍ي‍‍هِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِشِ‍‍قِّ ‌الأَ‌ن‍‍فُسِ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكُمْ لَ‍رَ‌ء‍ُ‍‌وف ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
Wa Al-Khayla Wa Al-Bighāla Wa Al-Ĥamīra Litarkabūhā Wa Zīnatan ۚ Wa Yakhluqu Mā Lā Ta`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 8). 016.008 And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. وَ‌الْ‍‍‍‍خَ‍‍يْ‍‍لَ ‌وَ‌الْبِ‍‍غَ‍الَ ‌وَ‌الْحَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَ‌زِينَةً ۚ ‌وَيَ‍‍خْ‍‍لُ‍‍قُ مَا‌ لاَ‌ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa `Alá Allāhi Qaşdu As-Sabīli Wa Minhā Jā'irun ۚ Wa Law Shā'a Lahadākum 'Ajma`īna (An-Naĥl: 9). 016.009 And unto God leads straight the Way, but there are ways that turn aside: if God had willed, He could have guided all of you. وَعَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ قَ‍‍صْ‍‍دُ‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ ج‍‍َائِرٌ ۚ ‌وَلَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ لَهَدَ‌اكُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an ۖ Lakum Minhu Sharābun Wa Minhu Shajarun Fīhi Tusīmūna (An-Naĥl: 10). 016.010 It is He who sends down rain from the sky: from it ye drink, and out of it (grows) the vegetation on which ye feed your cattle. هُوَ ‌الَّذِي ‌أَ‌ن‍‍زَلَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ م‍‍َا‌ءً ۖ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ شَ‍‍رَ‍‌ابٌ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ شَجَرٌ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ تُسِيمُونَ
Yunbitu Lakum Bihi Az-Zar`a Wa Az-Zaytūna Wa An-Nakhīla Wa Al-'A`nāba Wa Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 11). 016.011 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. يُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍بِتُ لَكُمْ بِهِ ‌ال‍‍زَّ‌رْعَ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍زَّيْت‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍‍‍‍‍خِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ ‌وَ‌الأَعْن‍‍َابَ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ ‌ال‍‍ثَّمَ‍رَ‍‌اتِ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra Wa Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara ۖ Wa An-Nujūmu Musakhkharātun Bi'amrihi ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna (An-Naĥl: 12). 016.012 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. وَسَ‍‍خَّ‍رَ‌ لَكُمُ ‌ال‍‍لَّ‍‍يْ‍‍لَ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ه‍‍َا‌‍رَ وَ‌ال‍‍شَّمْسَ ‌وَ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍مَ‍رَۖ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نُّ‍‍ج‍‍ُ‍ومُ مُسَ‍‍خَّ‍رَ‍‌ات‌‍ٌ بِأَمْ‍‍رِهِ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآي‍‍َاتٍ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَعْ‍‍قِ‍‍لُونَ
Wa Mā Dhara'a Lakum Al-'Arđi Mukhtalifāan 'Alwānuhu ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Yadhdhakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 13). 016.013 And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of God (in gratitude). وَمَا ذَ‌‍‍‍رَ‌أَ‌ لَكُمْ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ مُ‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِفاً أَلْوَ‌انُهُ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Al-Baĥra Lita'kulū Minhu Laĥmāan Ţarīy7an Wa Tastakhrijū Minhu Ĥilyatan Talbasūnahā Wa Tará Al-Fulka Mawākhira Fīhi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna (An-Naĥl: 14). 016.014 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of God and that ye may be grateful. وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي سَ‍‍‍‍خَّ‍رَ‌الْبَحْ‍رَ‌ لِتَأْكُلُوا مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ لَحْماً طَ‍‍رِيّاً ‌وَتَسْتَ‍‍خْ‍‍رِجُوا مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَ‍رَ‌ى‌ ‌الْفُلْكَ مَوَ‌اخِ‍‍رَ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ‌وَلِتَ‍‍بْ‍‍تَ‍‍غُ‍‍وا مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فَ‍‍ضْ‍‍لِهِ ‌وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُ‌ونَ
Wa 'Alqá Fī Al-'Arđi Rawāsiya 'An Tamīda Bikum Wa 'Anhāan Wa Subulāan Lla`allakum Tahtadūna (An-Naĥl: 15). 016.015 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; وَ‌أَلْ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍ى‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌‍رَ‌وَ‌اسِيَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ تَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دَ‌ بِكُمْ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍هَا‌ر‌اً ‌وَسُبُلاً لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُ‌ونَ
Wa `Alāmātin ۚ Wa Bin-Najmi Hum Yahtadūna (An-Naĥl: 16). 016.016 And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. وَعَلاَم‍‍َاتٍ ۚ ‌وَبِال‍‍نَّ‍‍جْ‍‍مِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُ‌ونَ
'Afaman Yakhluqu Kaman Lā Yakhluqu ۗ 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 17). 016.017 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? أَفَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍لُ‍‍قُ كَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍خْ‍‍لُ‍‍قُ ۗ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَذَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa 'In Ta`uddū Ni`mata Allāhi Lā Tuĥşūhā ۗ 'Inna Allāha Laghafūrun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 18). 016.018 If ye would count up the favours of God, never would ye be able to number them: for God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. وَ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ تَعُدُّ‌وا نِعْمَةَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ لاَ‌ تُحْ‍‍‍‍صُ‍‍وهَ‍‍اۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ لَ‍‍غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
Wa Allāhu Ya`lamu Mā Tusirrūna Wa Mā Tu`linūna (An-Naĥl: 19). 016.019 And God doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ يَعْلَمُ مَا‌ تُسِ‍‍ر‍‍ّ‍‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌وَمَا‌ تُعْلِنُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi Lā Yakhluqūna Shay'āan Wa Hum Yukhlaqūna (An-Naĥl: 20). 016.020 Those whom they invoke besides God create nothing and are themselves created. وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَ‍‍دْع‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍لُ‍‍قُ‍‍ونَ شَ‍‍يْ‍‍ئاً ‌وَهُمْ يُ‍‍خْ‍‍لَ‍‍قُ‍‍ونَ
'Amwātun Ghayru 'Aĥyā'in ۖ Wa Mā Yash`urūna 'Ayyāna Yub`athūna (An-Naĥl: 21). 016.021 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. أَمْو‍َ‍‌اتٌ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رُ أَحْي‍‍َا‌ء‌ٍ ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ يَشْعُر‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌أَيّ‍‍َانَ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍عَثُونَ
'Ilahukum 'Ilahun Wāĥidun ۚ Fa-Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Qulūbuhum Munkiratun Wa Hum Mustakbirūna (An-Naĥl: 22). 016.022 Your God is one God: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant. إِلَهُكُمْ ‌إِلَهٌ ‌وَ‌احِدٌ ۚ فَالَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِ‌الآ‍‍‍‍خِ‍رَةِ قُ‍‍لُوبُهُمْ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍كِ‍رَةٌ ‌وَهُمْ مُسْتَكْبِرُ‌ونَ
Lā Jarama 'Anna Allāha Ya`lamu Mā Yusirrūna Wa Mā Yu`linūna ۚ 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Mustakbirīna (An-Naĥl: 23). 016.023 Undoubtedly God doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal: verily He loveth not the arrogant. لاَ‌ جَ‍‍‍رَمَ ‌أَنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ يَعْلَمُ مَا‌ يُسِ‍‍ر‍‍ّ‍‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌وَمَا‌ يُعْلِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ لاَ‌ يُحِبُّ ‌الْمُسْتَكْبِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa 'Idhā Qīla Lahumdhā 'Anzala Rabbukum ۙ Qālū 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna (An-Naĥl: 24). 016.024 When it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "Tales of the ancients!" وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ قِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ لَهُمْ مَا‌ذَ‌ا أَ‌ن‍‍زَلَ ‌‍رَبُّكُمْ ۙ قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌أَسَاطِ‍‍ي‍‍رُ‌الأَ‌وَّلِينَ
Liyaĥmilū 'Awzārahum Kāmilatan Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۙ Wa Min 'Awzāri Al-Ladhīna Yuđillūnahum Bighayri `Ilmin ۗ 'Alā Sā'a Mā Yazirūna (An-Naĥl: 25). 016.025 Let them bear, on the Day of Judgment, their own burdens in full, and also (something) of the burdens of those without knowledge, whom they misled. Alas, how grievous the burdens they will bear! لِيَحْمِلُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌وْ‌زَ‌ا‌‍‍‍رَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ ۙ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ز‍َ‍‌ا‌رِ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يُ‍‍ضِ‍‍لُّونَهُمْ بِ‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رِ عِلْمٍ ۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ س‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مَا‌ يَزِ‌رُ‌ونَ
Qad Makara Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Fa'atá Allāhu Bunyānahum Mina Al-Qawā`idi Fakharra `Alayhimu As-Saqfu Min Fawqihim Wa 'Atāhumu Al-`Adhābu Min Ĥaythu Lā Yash`urūna (An-Naĥl: 26). 016.026 Those before them did also plot (against God's Way): but God took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive. قَ‍‍دْ‌ مَكَ‍رَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِهِمْ فَأَتَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ بُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍يَانَهُمْ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وَ‌اعِدِ‌ فَ‍‍خَ‍رَّ‌ عَلَيْهِمُ ‌ال‍‍سَّ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍فُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فَوْقِ‍‍هِمْ ‌وَ‌أَتَاهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَ‍‍يْ‍‍ثُ لاَ‌ يَشْعُرُ‌ونَ
Thumma Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yukhzīhim Wa Yaqūlu 'Ayna Shurakā'iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Tushāqqūna Fīhim ۚ Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma 'Inna Al-Khizya Al-Yawma Wa As-Sū'a `Alá Al-Kāfirīna (An-Naĥl: 27). 016.027 Then, on the Day of Judgment, He will cover them with shame, and say: "Where are My 'partners' concerning whom ye used to dispute (with the godly)?" Those endued with knowledge will say: "This Day, indeed, are the Unbelievers covered with shame and misery,- ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ يَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ يُ‍‍خْ‍‍زِيهِمْ ‌وَيَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ ‌أَيْ‍‍نَ شُ‍رَك‍‍َائ‍‍ِ‍‍يَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تُش‍‍َاقُّ‍‍ونَ فِيهِمْ ۚ قَ‍الَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وتُوا ‌الْعِلْمَ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌الْ‍‍خِ‍‍زْيَ ‌الْيَ‍‍وْمَ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍سّ‍‍ُ‍و‌ءَ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍رِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Tatawaffāhumu Al-Malā'ikatu Žālimī 'Anfusihim ۖ Fa'alqawā As-Salama Mā Kunnā Na`malu Min Sū'in ۚ Balá 'Inna Allāha `Alīmun Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna (An-Naĥl: 28). 016.028 "(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily God knoweth all that ye did; ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةُ ظَ‍‍الِمِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسِهِمْ ۖ فَأَلْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْ‌ا‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّلَمَ مَا‌ كُ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ نَعْمَلُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ س‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌ٍ ۚ بَلَ‍‍ى إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍م‌‍ٌ بِمَا‌ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
dkhulū 'Abwāba Jahannama Khālidīna Fīhā ۖ Falabi'sa Math Al-Mutakabbirīna (An-Naĥl: 29). 016.029 "So enter the gates of Hell, to dwell therein. Thus evil indeed is the abode of the arrogant." فَا‌دْ‍‍‍‍خُ‍‍لُ‍‍وا ‌أَبْ‍‍و‍َ‍‌ابَ جَهَ‍‍نَّ‍‍مَ خَ‍‍الِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِيهَا‌ ۖ فَلَبِئْسَ مَثْوَ‌ى‌ ‌الْمُتَكَبِّ‍‍رِينَ
Wa Qīla Lilladhīna Attaqawā Mādhā 'Anzala Rabbukum ۚ Qālū Khayan ۗ Lilladhīna 'Aĥsanū Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatun ۚ Wa Ladāru Al-'Ākhirati Khayrun ۚ Wa Lani`ma Dāru Al-Muttaqīna (An-Naĥl: 30). 016.030 To the righteous (when) it is said, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "All that is good." To those who do good, there is good in this world, and the Home of the Hereafter is even better and excellent indeed is the Home of the righteous,- وَ‍‍قِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌اتَّ‍‍قَ‍‍وْ‌ا‌ مَا‌ذَ‌ا أَ‌نْ‍‍زَلَ ‌‍رَبُّكُمْ ۚ قَ‍‍الُوا خَ‍‍يْر‌اً ۗ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌أَحْسَنُوا فِي هَذِهِ ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا‌ حَسَنَةٌ ۚ ‌وَلَد‍َ‌ارُ‌ ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ خَ‍‍يْ‍‍رٌ ۚ ‌وَلَنِعْمَ ‌د‍َ‌ارُ‌ ‌الْمُتَّ‍‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Jannātu `Adnin Yadkhulūnahā Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru ۖ Lahum Fīhā Mā Yashā'ūna ۚ Kadhālika Yaj Al-Lahu Al-Muttaqīna (An-Naĥl: 31). 016.031 Gardens of Eternity which they will enter: beneath them flow (pleasant) rivers: they will have therein all that they wish: thus doth God reward the righteous,- جَ‍‍نّ‍‍َاتُ عَ‍‍دْنٍ يَ‍‍دْ‍‍‍‍خُ‍‍لُونَهَا‌ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍رِي مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ تَحْتِهَا‌ ‌الأَ‌نْ‍‍ه‍‍َا‌رُ‌ ۖ لَهُمْ فِيهَا‌ مَا‌ يَش‍‍َا‌ء‍ُ‍‌ونَ ۚ كَذَلِكَ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍زِي ‌اللَّهُ ‌الْمُتَّ‍‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Al-Ladhīna Tatawaffāhumu Al-Malā'ikatu Ţayyibīna ۙ Yaqūlūna Salāmun `Alaykumu Adkhulū Al-Jannata Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna (An-Naĥl: 32). 016.032 (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of (the good) which ye did (in the world)." ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةُ طَ‍‍يِّب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ۙ يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ‌ا‌دْ‍خُ‍‍لُوا ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةَ بِمَا‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Hal Yanžurūna 'Illā 'An Ta'tiyahumu Al-Malā'ikatu 'Aw Ya'tiya 'Amru Rabbika ۚ Kadhālika Fa`ala Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim ۚ Wa Mā Žalamahumu Allāhu Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna (An-Naĥl: 33). 016.033 Do the (ungodly) wait until the angels come to them, or there comes the Command of thy Lord (for their doom)? So did those who went before them. But God wronged them not: nay, they wronged their own souls. هَلْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍‍‍‍ظُ‍‍ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌إِلاَّ أَ‌ن‌ْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةُ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ يَأْتِيَ ‌أَمْرُ ‍رَبِّكَ ۚ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِهِمْ ۚ ‌وَمَا‌ ظَ‍‍لَمَهُمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كَانُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍فُسَهُمْ يَ‍‍ظْ‍‍لِمُونَ
Fa'aşābahum Sayyi'ātu Mā `Amilū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn (An-Naĥl: 34). 016.034 But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in. فَأَ‍‍صَ‍‍ابَهُمْ سَيِّئ‍‍َاتُ مَا‌ عَمِلُوا ‌وَح‍‍َاقَ بِهِمْ مَا‌ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ُ‍‍ون
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ashrakū Law Shā'a Allāhu Mā `Abadnā Min Dūnihi Min Shay'in Naĥnu Wa Lā 'Ābā'uunā Wa Lā Ĥarramnā Min Dūnihi Min Shay'in ۚ Kadhālika Fa`ala Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim ۚ Fahal `Alá Ar-Rusuli 'Illā Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu (An-Naĥl: 35). 016.035 The worshippers of false gods say: "If God had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of apostles but to preach the Clear Message? وَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌أَشْ‍رَكُوا لَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مَا‌ عَبَ‍‍دْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌دُ‌ونِهِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ نَحْنُ ‌وَلاَ آب‍‍َا‌ؤُنَا وَلاَ‌ حَ‍رَّمْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌دُ‌ونِهِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍‍يْء‌‌ٍ ۚ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِهِمْ ۚ فَهَلْ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍رُّسُلِ ‌إِلاَّ ‌الْبَلاَغُ ‌الْمُبِينُ
Wa Laqad Ba`athnā Fī Kulli 'Ummatin Rasūlāan 'Ani Au`budū Allaha Wa Ajtanibū Aţ-Ţāghūta ۖ Faminhum Man Hadá Allāhu Wa Minhum Man Ĥaqqat `Alayhi Ađ-Đalālatu ۚ Fasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mukadhdhibīna (An-Naĥl: 36). 016.036 For We assuredly sent amongst every People an apostle, (with the Command), "Serve God, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom God guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ بَعَثْنَا‌ فِي كُلِّ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ ‌‍رَسُولاً أَنِ ‌ا‍‍ُ‍عْبُدُ‌وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ‌وَ‌اجْ‍‍تَنِبُوا ‌ال‍‍طَّ‍‍اغُ‍‍وتَ ۖ فَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ هَدَ‌ى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَ‍‍قَّ‍‍تْ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌ال‍‍ضَّ‍‍لاَلَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُ‌وا فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ فَا‌نْ‍‍‍‍ظُ‍‍رُ‌وا كَ‍‍يْ‍‍فَ ك‍‍َانَ عَاقِ‍‍بَةُ ‌الْمُكَذِّبِينَ
'In Taĥriş `Alá Hudāhum Fa'inna Allāha Lā Yahdī Man Yuđillu ۖ Wa Mā Lahum Minşirīna (An-Naĥl: 37). 016.037 If thou art anxious for their guidance, yet God guideth not such as He leaves to stray, and there is none to help them. إِ‌ن‌ْ تَحْ‍‍رِ‍‍‍‍صْ عَلَى‌ هُدَ‌اهُمْ فَإِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ لاَ‌ يَهْدِي مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُ‍‍ضِ‍‍لُّ ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ لَهُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ نَاصِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa 'Aqsamū Billāhi Jahda 'Aymānihim ۙ Lā Yab`athu Allāhu Man Yamūtu ۚ Balá Wa`dāan `Alayhi Ĥaqqāan Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 38). 016.038 They swear their strongest oaths by God, that God will not raise up those who die: Nay, but it is a promise (binding) on Him in truth: but most among mankind realise it not. وَ‌أَ‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍سَمُوا بِ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ ۙ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍بْ‍‍عَثُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَم‍‍ُ‍وتُ ۚ بَلَى وَعْد‌اً‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ حَ‍‍قّ‍‍اً ‌وَلَكِ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌أَكْثَ‍رَ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ لاَ‌ يَعْلَمُونَ
Liyubayyina Lahumu Al-Ladhī Yakhtalifūna Fīhi Wa Liya`lama Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Annahum Kānū Kādhibīna (An-Naĥl: 39). 016.039 (They must be raised up), in order that He may manifest to them the truth of that wherein they differ, and that the rejecters of Truth may realise that they had indeed (surrendered to) Falsehood. لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ‌الَّذِي يَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِف‍‍ُ‍ونَ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ‌وَلِيَعْلَمَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ كَانُوا كَا‌ذِبِينَ
'Innamā Qawlunā Lishay'in 'Idhā 'Aradnāhu 'An Naqūla Lahu Kun Fayakūnu (An-Naĥl: 40). 016.040 For to anything which We have willed, We but say the word, "Be", and it is. إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ قَ‍‍وْلُنَا‌ لِشَ‍‍يْء‌‌ٍ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا أَ‌‍رَ‌دْن‍‍َاهُ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ نَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولَ لَهُ كُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فَيَكُونُ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Hājarū Fī Al-Lahi Min Ba`di Mā Žulimū Lanubawwi'annahum Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatan ۖ Wa La'ajru Al-'Ākhirati 'Akbaru ۚ Law Kānū Ya`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 41). 016.041 To those who leave their homes in the cause of God, after suffering oppression,- We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world; but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only realised (this)! وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هَاجَرُ‌وا فِي ‌اللَّهِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ‌ مَا‌ ظُ‍‍لِمُوا لَنُبَوِّئَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ فِي ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا‌ حَسَنَةً ۖ ‌وَلَأَجْ‍‍رُ‌ ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ ‌أَكْبَرُ‌ ۚ لَوْ‌ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna (An-Naĥl: 42). 016.042 (They are) those who persevere in patience, and put their trust on their Lord. ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ صَ‍‍بَرُ‌وا ‌وَعَلَى ‍رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
Wa Mā 'Arsalnā Min Qablika 'Illā Rijālāan Nūĥī 'Ilayhim ۚ Fās'alū 'Ahla Adh-Dhikri 'In Kuntum Lā Ta`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 43). 016.043 And before thee also the apostles We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message. وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِكَ ‌إِلاَّ ‌رِجَالاً نُوحِ‍‍ي ‌إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَاسْأَلُ‍‍وا ‌أَهْلَ ‌ال‍‍ذِّكْ‍‍رِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ لاَ‌ تَعْلَمُونَ
Bil-Bayyināti Wa Az-Zuburi ۗ Wa 'Anzalnā 'Ilayka Adh-Dhikra Litubayyina Lilnnāsi Mā Nuzzila 'Ilayhim Wa La`allahum Yatafakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 44). 016.044 (We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought. بِالْبَيِّن‍‍َاتِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍زُّبُ‍‍رِ ۗ ‌وَ‌أَ‌ن‍‍زَلْنَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌ال‍‍ذِّكْ‍‍‍رَ‌ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِل‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ مَا‌ نُزِّلَ ‌إِلَيْهِمْ ‌وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُ‌ونَ
'Afa'amina Al-Ladhīna Makarū As-Sayyi'āti 'An Yakhsifa Allāhu Bihimu Al-'Arđa 'Aw Ya'tiyahumu Al-`Adhābu Min Ĥaythu Lā Yash`urūna (An-Naĥl: 45). 016.045 Do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that God will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the Wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?- أَفَأَمِنَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مَكَرُ‌وا ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتِ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ يَ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍سِفَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ بِهِمُ ‌الأَ‌رْضَ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَ‍‍يْ‍‍ثُ لاَ‌ يَشْعُرُ‌ونَ
'Aw Ya'khudhahum Fī Taqallubihim Famā Hum Bimu`jizīna (An-Naĥl: 46). 016.046 Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their goings to and fro, without a chance of their frustrating Him?- أَ‌وْ‌ يَأْ‍‍خُ‍‍ذَهُمْ فِي تَ‍‍قَ‍‍لُّبِهِمْ فَمَا‌ هُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
'Aw Ya'khudhahum `Alá Takhawwufin Fa'inna Rabbakum Lara'ūfun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 47). 016.047 Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage - for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy. أَ‌وْ‌ يَأْ‍‍خُ‍‍ذَهُمْ عَلَى‌ تَ‍‍خَ‍‍وُّفٍ فَإِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكُمْ لَ‍رَ‌ء‍ُ‍‌وف ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
'Awalam Yarawā 'Ilá Mā Khalaqa Allāhu Min Shay'in Yatafayya'u Žilāluhu `Ani Al-Yamīni Wa Ash-Shamā'ili Sujjadāan Lillāh Wa Humkhirūna (An-Naĥl: 48). 016.048 Do they not look at God's creation, (even) among (inanimate) things,- How their (very) shadows turn round, from the right and the left, prostrating themselves to God, and that in the humblest manner? أَ‌وَلَمْ يَ‍‍‍رَ‌وْ‌ا إِلَى‌ مَا‌ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ يَتَفَيَّأُ‌ ظِ‍‍لاَلُهُ عَنِ ‌الْيَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍شَّم‍‍َائِلِ سُجَّد‌اً لِلَّهِ ‌وَهُمْ ‌دَ‌اخِ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Wa Lillāh Yasjudu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Min Dābbatin Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Hum Lā Yastakbirūna (An-Naĥl: 49). 016.049 And to God doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord). وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ‌ مَا‌ فِي ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَمَا‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ ‌وَ‌الْمَلاَئِكَةُ ‌وَهُمْ لاَ‌ يَسْتَكْبِرُ‌ونَ
Yakhāfūna Rabbahum Min Fawqihim Wa Yaf`alūna Mā Yu'umarūna (An-Naĥl: 50). 016.050 They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded. يَ‍‍خَ‍‍اف‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌‍رَبَّهُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فَوْقِ‍‍هِمْ ‌وَيَفْعَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَا‌ يُؤْمَرُ‌ونَ
Wa Qāla Allāhu Lā Tattakhidhū 'Ilahayni Athnayni ۖ 'Innamā Huwa 'Ilahun Wāĥidun ۖ Fa'īyāya Fārhabūni (An-Naĥl: 51). 016.051 God has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One God: then fear Me (and Me alone)." وَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ لاَ‌ تَتَّ‍‍خِ‍‍ذُ‌وا ‌إِلَهَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ‌اثْنَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ۖ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ هُوَ إِلَهٌ ‌وَ‌احِدٌ ۖ فَإِيّ‍‍َايَ فَا‌رْهَبُونِ
Wa Lahu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Lahu Ad-Dīnu Wa Aşibāan ۚ 'Afaghayra Allāhi Tattaqūna (An-Naĥl: 52). 016.052 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him is duty due always: then will ye fear other than God? وَلَهُ مَا‌ فِي ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضِ ‌وَلَهُ ‌ال‍‍دّ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نُ ‌وَ‌اصِ‍‍باً‌ ۚ ‌أَفَ‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ تَتَّ‍‍قُ‍‍ونَ
Wa Mā Bikum Min Ni`matin Famina Allāhi ۖ Thumma 'Idhā Massakumu Ađ-Đurru Fa'ilayhi Taj'arūna (An-Naĥl: 53). 016.053 And ye have no good thing but is from God: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; وَمَا‌ بِكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ نِعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ۖ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ مَسَّكُمُ ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍ضُّ‍‍رُّ‌ فَإِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍أَ‌رُ‌ونَ
Thumma 'Idhā Kashafa Ađ-Đurra `Ankum 'Idhā Farīqun Minkum Birabbihim Yushrikūna (An-Naĥl: 54). 016.054 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ كَشَفَ ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍ضُّ‍رَّ‌ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ فَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍قٌ‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ بِ‍رَبِّهِمْ يُشْ‍‍رِكُونَ
Liyakfurū Bimā 'Ātaynāhum ۚ Fatamatta`ū ۖ Fasawfa Ta`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 55). 016.055 (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! لِيَكْفُرُ‌وا بِمَ‍‍ا آتَيْنَاهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا ۖ فَسَ‍‍وْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Yaj`alūna Limā Lā Ya`lamūna Naşībāan Mimmā Razaqnāhum ۗ Ta-Allāhi Latus'alunna `Ammā Kuntum Taftarūna (An-Naĥl: 56). 016.056 And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By God, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. وَيَ‍‍جْ‍‍عَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِمَا‌ لاَ‌ يَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ نَ‍‍‍‍صِ‍‍يباً مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا ‍رَ‌زَ‍قْ‍‍‍‍نَاهُمْ ۗ تَاللَّهِ لَتُسْأَلُ‍‍نّ‌َ عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ تَفْتَرُ‌ونَ
Wa Yaj`alūna Lillāh Al-Banāti Subĥānahu ۙ Wa Lahum Mā Yashtahūna (An-Naĥl: 57). 016.057 And they assign daughters for God! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire! وَيَ‍‍جْ‍‍عَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِلَّهِ ‌الْبَن‍‍َاتِ سُ‍‍بْ‍‍حَانَهُ ۙ ‌وَلَهُمْ مَا‌ يَشْتَهُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Bushshira 'Aĥaduhum Bil-'Unthá Žalla Wajhuhu Muswaddāan Wa Huwa Kažīmun (An-Naĥl: 58). 016.058 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ بُشِّ‍‍رَ ‌أَحَدُهُمْ بِ‌الأُ‌ن‍‍ثَى‌ ظَ‍‍لَّ ‌وَجْ‍‍هُهُ مُسْوَ‌دّ‌اً ‌وَهُوَ‌ كَ‍‍ظِ‍‍يمٌ
Yatawārá Mina Al-Qawmi Min Sū'i Mā Bushshira Bihi ۚ 'Ayumsikuhu `Alá Hūnin 'Am Yadussuhu Fī At-Turābi ۗ 'Alā Sā'a Mā Yaĥkumūna (An-Naĥl: 59). 016.059 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? يَتَوَ‌ا‌‍‍‍رَ‌ى‌ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ س‍‍ُ‍و‌ءِ‌ مَا‌ بُشِّ‍‍رَ بِهِ ۚ ‌أَيُمْسِكُهُ عَلَى‌ ه‍‍ُ‍ونٍ ‌أَمْ يَدُسُّهُ فِي ‌ال‍‍تُّ‍رَ‍‌ابِ ۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ س‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مَا‌ يَحْكُمُونَ
Lilladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Mathalu As-Saw'i ۖ Wa Lillāh Al-Mathalu Al-'A`lá ۚ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu (An-Naĥl: 60). 016.060 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to God applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِ‌الآ‍‍‍‍خِ‍رَةِ مَثَلُ ‌ال‍‍سَّ‍‍وْ‌ءِ‌ ۖ ‌وَلِلَّهِ ‌الْمَثَلُ ‌الأَعْلَى‌ ۚ ‌وَهُوَ ‌الْعَز‍ِ‍ي‍‍زُ‌ ‌الْحَكِيمُ
Wa Law Yu'uākhidhu Allāhu An-Nāsa Bižulmihim Mā Taraka `Alayhā Min Dābbatin Wa Lakin Yu'uakhkhiruhum 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musamman ۖ Fa'idhā Jā'a 'Ajaluhum Lā Yasta'khirūna Sā`atan ۖ Wa Lā Yastaqdimūna (An-Naĥl: 61). 016.061 If God were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: When their Term expires, they would not be able to delay (the punishment) for a single hour, just as they would not be able to anticipate it (for a single hour). وَلَوْ‌ يُؤ‍َ‍‌ا‍‍خِ‍‍ذُ‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ بِ‍‍ظُ‍‍لْمِهِمْ مَا‌ تَ‍رَكَ عَلَيْهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُؤَ‍‍خِّ‍‍رُهُمْ ‌إِلَ‍‍ى أَجَلٍ مُسَ‍‍مّ‍‍ىً ۖ فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لاَ‌ يَسْتَأْخِ‍‍ر‍ُ‍‌ونَ سَاعَةً ۖ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَسْتَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍دِمُونَ
Wa Yaj`alūna Lillāh Mā Yakrahūna Wa Taşifu 'Alsinatuhumu Al-Kadhiba 'Anna Lahumu Al-Ĥusná ۖ Lā Jarama 'Anna Lahumu An-Nāra Wa 'Annahum Mufraţūna (An-Naĥl: 62). 016.062 They attribute to God what they hate (for themselves), and their tongues assert the falsehood that all good things are for themselves: without doubt for them is the Fire, and they will be the first to be hastened on into it! وَيَ‍‍جْ‍‍عَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ لِلَّهِ مَا‌ يَكْ‍‍‍رَه‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌وَتَ‍‍صِ‍‍فُ ‌أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ ‌الْكَذِبَ ‌أَنّ‌َ لَهُمُ ‌الْحُسْنَى‌ ۖ لاَ‌ جَ‍رَمَ ‌أَنّ‌َ لَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌‍رَ وَ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ مُفْ‍رَطُ‍‍ونَ
Ta-Allāhi Laqad 'Arsalnā 'Ilá 'Umamin Min Qablika Fazayyana Lahumu Ash-Shayţānu 'A`mālahum Fahuwa Walīyuhumu Al-Yawma Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun (An-Naĥl: 63). 016.063 By God, We (also) sent (Our apostles) to Peoples before thee; but Satan made, (to the wicked), their own acts seem alluring: He is also their patron today, but they shall have a most grievous penalty. تَاللَّهِ لَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍ى أُمَمٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍شَّيْ‍‍طَ‍انُ ‌أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ‌الْيَ‍‍وْمَ ‌وَلَهُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ ‌أَلِيمٌ
Wa Mā 'Anzalnā `Alayka Al-Kitāba 'Illā Litubayyina Lahumu Al-Ladhī Akhtalafū Fīhi ۙ Wa Hudan Wa Raĥmatan Liqawmin Yu'uminūna (An-Naĥl: 64). 016.064 And We sent down the Book to thee for the express purpose, that thou shouldst make clear to them those things in which they differ, and that it should be a guide and a mercy to those who believe. وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌ن‍‍زَلْنَا‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ‌الَّذِي ‌ا‍‍خْ‍‍تَلَفُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ۙ ‌وَهُ‍‍د‌ىً ‌وَ‌‍رَحْمَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Allāhu 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fa'aĥyā Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Yasma`ūna (An-Naĥl: 65). 016.065 And God sends down rain from the skies, and gives therewith life to the earth after its death: verily in this is a Sign for those who listen. وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍زَلَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ م‍‍َا‌ءً فَأَحْيَا‌ بِهِ ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضَ بَعْدَ‌ مَوْتِهَ‍‍اۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
Wa 'Inna Lakum Al-'An`ām La`ibratan ۖ Nusqīkum Mimmā Fī Buţūnihi Min Bayni Farthin Wa Damin Labanāan Khālişāan Sā'ighāan Lilshshāribīna (An-Naĥl: 66). 016.066 And verily in cattle (too) will ye find an instructive sign. From what is within their bodies between excretions and blood, We produce, for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it. وَ‌إِنّ‌َ لَكُمْ فِي ‌الأَنعَام لَعِ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍‍رَةً ۖ نُسْ‍‍قِ‍‍يكُمْ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ فِي بُ‍‍طُ‍‍ونِهِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ فَرْثٍ ‌وَ‌دَمٍ لَبَناً‌ خَ‍‍الِ‍‍ص‍‍اً س‍‍َائِ‍‍غ‍‍اً لِلشَّا‌رِبِينَ
Wa Min Thamarāti An-Nakhīli Wa Al-'A`nābi Tattakhidhūna Minhu Sakaan Wa Rizqāan Ĥasanāan ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Ya`qilūna (An-Naĥl: 67). 016.067 And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out wholesome drink and food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise. وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ثَمَ‍‍رَ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍‍‍خِ‍‍ي‍‍لِ ‌وَ‌الأَعْن‍‍َابِ تَتَّ‍‍خِ‍‍ذ‍ُ‍‌ونَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ سَكَر‌اً ‌وَ‌رِ‌زْق‍‍اً‌ حَسَناً ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَعْ‍‍قِ‍‍لُونَ
Wa 'Awĥá Rabbuka 'Ilá An-Naĥli 'Ani Attakhidhī Mina Al-Jibāli Buyūtāan Wa Mina Ash-Shajari Wa Mimmā Ya`rishūna (An-Naĥl: 68). 016.068 And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; وَ‌أَ‌وْحَى ‍‍‍رَبُّكَ ‌إِلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍حْلِ ‌أَنِ ‌اتَّ‍‍خِ‍‍ذِي مِنَ ‌الْجِب‍‍َالِ بُيُوتاً ‌وَمِنَ ‌ال‍‍شَّجَ‍‍رِ ‌وَمِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ يَعْ‍‍رِشُونَ
Thumma Kulī Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti Fāslukī Subula Rabbiki Dhululāan ۚ Yakhruju Min Buţūnihā Sharābun Mukhtalifun 'Alwānuhu Fīhi Shifā'un Lilnnāsi ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 69). 016.069 Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ كُلِي مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ ‌ال‍‍ثَّمَ‍‍رَ‍‌اتِ فَاسْلُكِي سُبُلَ ‌‍رَبِّكِ ‌ذُلُلاً ۚ يَ‍‍خْ‍‍رُجُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بُ‍‍طُ‍‍ونِهَا‌ شَ‍رَ‍‌ابٌ مُ‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِفٌ ‌أَلْوَ‌انُهُ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ شِف‍‍َا‌ء‌ٌ لِل‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa Allāhu Khalaqakum Thumma Yatawaffākum ۚ Wa Minkum Man Yuraddu 'Ilá 'Ardhali Al-`Umuri Likay Lā Ya`lama Ba`da `Ilmin Shay'āan ۚ 'Inna Allāha `Alīmun Qadīrun (An-Naĥl: 70). 016.070 It is God who creates you and takes your souls at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they know nothing after having known (much): for God is All-Knowing, All-Powerful. وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ‍‍كُمْ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ ۚ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُ‍رَ‌دُّ إِلَ‍‍ى أَ‌رْ‌ذَلِ ‌الْعُمُ‍‍رِ لِكَيْ لاَ‌ يَعْلَمَ بَعْدَ‌ عِلْمٍ شَ‍‍يْ‍‍ئاً ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ قَ‍‍دِيرٌ
Wa Allāhu Fađđala Ba`đakum `Alá Ba`đin Ar-Rizqi ۚ Famā Al-Ladhīna Fuđđilū Birāddī Rizqihim `Alá Mā Malakat 'Aymānuhum Fahum Fīhi Sawā'un ۚ 'Afabini`mati Allāhi Yajĥadūna (An-Naĥl: 71). 016.071 God has bestowed His gifts of sustenance more freely on some of you than on others: those more favoured are not going to throw back their gifts to those whom their right hands possess, so as to be equal in that respect. Will they then deny the favours of God? وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ فَ‍‍‍‍ضَّ‍‍لَ بَعْ‍‍ضَ‍‍كُمْ عَلَى‌ بَعْ‍‍ضٍ‌ فِي ‌ال‍‍رِّ‌زْقِ ۚ فَمَا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فُ‍‍ضِّ‍‍لُوا بِر‍َ‌ادِّي ‌رِ‌زْقِ‍‍هِمْ عَلَى‌ مَا‌ مَلَكَتْ ‌أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَهُمْ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ سَو‍َ‌اءٌ‌ ۚ ‌أَفَبِنِعْمَةِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍حَدُ‌ونَ
Wa Allāhu Ja`ala Lakum Min 'Anfusikum 'Azwājāan Wa Ja`ala Lakum Min 'Azwājikum Banīna Wa Ĥafadatan Wa Razaqakum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti ۚ 'Afabiālbāţili Yu'uminūna Wa Bini`mati Allāhi Hum Yakfurūna (An-Naĥl: 72). 016.072 And God has made for you mates (and companions) of your own nature, and made for you, out of them, sons and daughters and grandchildren, and provided for you sustenance of the best: will they then believe in vain things, and be ungrateful for God's favours?- وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسِكُمْ ‌أَ‌زْ‌وَ‌اجاً ‌وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌زْ‌وَ‌اجِكُمْ بَن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌وَحَفَدَةً ‌وَ‌‍‍‍رَ‌زَقَ‍‍كُمْ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍طَّ‍‍يِّب‍‍َاتِ ۚ ‌أَفَبِالْبَاطِ‍‍لِ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌وَبِنِعْمَةِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ هُمْ يَكْفُرُ‌ونَ
Wa Ya`budūna Min Dūni Allāhi Mā Lā Yamliku Lahum Rizqāan Mina As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Shay'āan Wa Lā Yastaţī`ūna (An-Naĥl: 73). 016.073 And worship others than God,- such as have no power of providing them, for sustenance, with anything in heavens or earth, and cannot possibly have such power? وَيَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مَا‌ لاَ‌ يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ‌رِ‌زْ‍‍ق‍‍اً مِنَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضِ شَ‍‍يْ‍‍ئاً ‌وَلاَ‌ يَسْتَ‍‍طِ‍‍يعُونَ
Falā Tađribū Lillāh Al-'Amthāla ۚ 'Inna Allāha Ya`lamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 74). 016.074 Invent not similitudes for God: for God knoweth, and ye know not. فَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍‍‍ضْ‍‍رِبُوا لِلَّهِ ‌الأَمْث‍‍َالَ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ يَعْلَمُ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ لاَ‌ تَعْلَمُونَ
Đaraba Allāhu Mathalāan `Abdāan Mamlūkāan Lā Yaqdiru `Alá Shay'in Wa Man Razaqnāhu Minnā Rizqāan Ĥasanāan Fahuwa Yunfiqu Minhu Siran Wa Jahan ۖ Hal Yastawūna ۚ Al-Ĥamdu Lillāh ۚ Bal 'Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 75). 016.075 God sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;) praise be to God. But most of them understand not. ضَ‍رَبَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مَثَلاً‌ عَ‍‍بْ‍‍د‌اً مَمْلُوكاً لاَ‌ يَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍دِ‌رُعَلَى‌ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَ‌زَ‍قْ‍‍‍‍ن‍‍َاهُ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ ‌رِ‌زْق‍‍اً‌ حَسَناً فَهُوَ‌ يُ‍‌‍ن‍‍فِ‍‍قُ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ سِ‍‍ر‍‍ّ‍‌اً ‌وَجَهْر‌اً‌ ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَو‍ُ‍‌ونَ ۚ ‌الْحَمْدُ‌ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ ‌أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ‌ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa Đaraba Allāhu Mathalāan Rajulayni 'Aĥaduhumā 'Abkamu Lā Yaqdiru `Alá Shay'in Wa Huwa Kallun `Alá Mawlāhu 'Aynamā Yuwajjhhhu Lā Ya'ti Bikhayrin ۖ Hal Yastawī Huwa Wa Man Ya'muru Bil-`Adli ۙ Wa Huwa `Alá Şiţin Mustaqīmin (An-Naĥl: 76). 016.076 God sets forth (another) Parable of two men: one of them dumb, with no power of any sort; a wearisome burden is he to his master; whichever way be directs him, he brings no good: is such a man equal with one who commands Justice, and is on a Straight Way? وَ‍‍ضَ‍رَبَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مَثَلاً ‌‍رَجُلَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ‌أَحَدُهُمَ‍‍ا أَبْ‍‍كَمُ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍دِ‌رُعَلَى‌ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ ‌وَهُوَ‌ كَلٌّ عَلَى‌ مَوْلاَهُ ‌أَيْنَمَا‌ يُوَجّههُّ لاَ‌ يَأْتِ بِ‍‍خَ‍‍يْ‍‍ر‍‍ٍ‍‌ ۖ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي هُوَ وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَأْمُرُ‌ بِ‌الْعَ‍‍دْلِ ۙ ‌وَهُوَ‌ عَلَى‌ صِ‍رَ‍‌اطٍ مُسْتَ‍‍قِ‍‍يمٍ
Wa Lillāh Ghaybu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۚ Wa Mā 'Amru As-Sā`ati 'Illā Kalamĥi Al-Başari 'Aw Huwa 'Aqrabu ۚ 'Inna Allāha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun (An-Naĥl: 77). 016.077 To God belongeth the Mystery of the heavens and the earth. And the Decision of the Hour (of Judgment) is as the twingkling of an eye, or even quicker: for God hath power over all things. وَلِلَّهِ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍بُ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ۚ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أَمْرُ‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّاعَةِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ كَلَمْحِ ‌الْبَ‍‍صَ‍‍رِ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ هُوَ أَ‍قْ‍‍‍‍‍رَبُ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَ‍‍يْء‌‌ٍ قَ‍‍دِيرٌ
Wa Allāhu 'Akhrajakum Min Buţūni 'Ummahātikum Lā Ta`lamūna Shay'āan Wa Ja`ala Lakumu As-Sam`a Wa Al-'Abşāra Wa Al-'Af'idata ۙ La`allakum Tashkurūna (An-Naĥl: 78). 016.078 It is He Who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when ye knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections: that ye may give thanks (to God). وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌أَ‍‍خْ‍رَجَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بُ‍‍طُ‍‍ونِ ‌أُمَّ‍‍هَاتِكُمْ لاَ‌ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ شَ‍‍يْ‍‍ئاً ‌وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ ‌وَ‌الأَبْ‍‍‍‍صَ‍ا‌‍رَ وَ‌الأَفْئِدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُ‌ونَ
'Alam Yarawā 'Ilá Aţ-Ţayri Musakhkharātin Fī Jawwi As-Samā'i Mā Yumsikuhunna 'Illā Al-Lahu ۗ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yu'uminūna (An-Naĥl: 79). 016.079 Do they not look at the birds, held poised in the midst of (the air and) the sky? Nothing holds them up but (the power of) God. Verily in this are signs for those who believe. أَلَمْ يَ‍‍‍رَ‌وْ‌ا إِلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍طَّ‍‍يْ‍‍رِ مُسَ‍‍خَّ‍رَ‍‌اتٍ فِي جَوِّ‌ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ مَا‌ يُمْسِكُهُ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌إِلاَّ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآي‍‍َاتٍ لِ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Allāhu Ja`ala Lakum Min Buyūtikum Sakanāan Wa Ja`ala Lakum Min Julūdi Al-'An`āmi Buyūtāan Tastakhiffūnahā Yawma Ža`nikum Wa Yawma 'Iqāmatikum ۙ Wa Min 'Aşwāfihā Wa 'Awbārihā Wa 'Ashrihā 'Athāthāan Wa Matā`āan 'Ilá Ĥīnin (An-Naĥl: 80). 016.080 It is God Who made your habitations homes of rest and quiet for you; and made for you, out of the skins of animals, (tents for) dwellings, which ye find so light (and handy) when ye travel and when ye stop (in your travels); and out of their wool, and their soft fibres (between wool and hair), and their hair, rich stuff and articles of convenience (to serve you) for a time. وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بُيُوتِكُمْ سَكَناً ‌وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ جُل‍‍ُ‍و‌دِ‌ ‌الأَنع‍‍َامِ بُيُوتاً تَسْتَ‍‍‍‍خِ‍‍فُّونَهَا‌ يَ‍‍وْمَ ظَ‍‍عْنِكُمْ ‌وَيَ‍‍وْمَ ‌إِ‍قَ‍‍امَتِكُمْ ۙ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‍صْ‍‍وَ‌افِهَا وَ‌أَ‌وْبَا‌رِهَا وَ‌أَشْعَا‌رِهَ‍‍ا أَثَاثاً ‌وَمَتَاعاً ‌إِلَى‌ حِينٍ
Wa Allāhu Ja`ala Lakum Mimmā Khalaqa Žilālāan Wa Ja`ala Lakum Mina Al-Jibāli 'Aknānāan Wa Ja`ala Lakum Sabīla Taqīkumu Al-Ĥarra Wa Sabīla Taqīkum Ba'sakum ۚ Kadhālika Yutimmu Ni`matahu `Alaykum La`allakum Tuslimūna (An-Naĥl: 81). 016.081 It is God Who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete His favours on you, that ye may bow to His Will (in Islam). وَ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ ظِ‍‍لاَلاً ‌وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ ‌الْجِب‍‍َالِ ‌أَكْنَاناً ‌وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ سَ‍رَ‌اب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ تَ‍‍قِ‍‍يكُمُ ‌الْحَ‍رَّ وَسَ‍رَ‌اب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لَ تَ‍‍قِ‍‍يكُمْ بَأْسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَلِكَ يُتِ‍‍مُّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْلِمُونَ
Fa'in Tawallawā Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu (An-Naĥl: 82). 016.082 But if they turn away, thy duty is only to preach the clear Message. فَإِ‌ن‌ْ تَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ فَإِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌الْبَلاَ‍‍غُ ‌الْمُبِينُ
Ya`rifūna Ni`mata Allāhi Thumma Yunkirūnahā Wa 'Aktharuhumu Al-Kāfirūna (An-Naĥl: 83). 016.083 They recognise the favours of God; then they deny them; and most of them are (creatures) ungrateful. يَعْ‍‍رِف‍‍ُ‍ونَ نِعْمَةَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ يُ‍‌‍ن‍‍كِرُ‌ونَهَا وَ‌أَكْثَرُهُمُ ‌الْكَافِرُ‌ونَ
Wa Yawma Nab`athu Min Kulli 'Ummatin Shahīdāan Thumma Lā Yu'udhanu Lilladhīna Kafarū Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna (An-Naĥl: 84). 016.084 One Day We shall raise from all Peoples a Witness: then will no excuse be accepted from Unbelievers, nor will they receive any favours. وَيَ‍‍وْمَ نَ‍‍بْ‍‍عَثُ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ شَهِيد‌اً ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ لاَ‌ يُؤْ‌ذَنُ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌وَلاَ‌ هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Ra'á Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Al-`Adhāba Falā Yukhaffafu `Anhum Wa Lā Hum Yunžarūna (An-Naĥl: 85). 016.085 When the wrong-doers (actually) see the Penalty, then will it in no way be mitigated, nor will they then receive respite. وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا ‍‍‍رَ‌أَ‌ى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُوا ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ فَلاَ‌ يُ‍‍خَ‍‍فَّفُ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ هُمْ يُ‍‌‍ن‍‍ظَ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Wa 'Idhā Ra'á Al-Ladhīna 'AshraShurakā'ahum Qālū Rabbanā Hā'uulā' Shurakā'uunā Al-Ladhīna Kunnā Nad`ū Min Dūnika ۖ Fa'alqawā 'Ilayhimu Al-Qawla 'Innakum Lakādhibūna (An-Naĥl: 86). 016.086 When those who gave partners to God will see their "partners", they will say: "Our Lord! these are our 'partners,' those whom we used to invoke besides Thee." But they will throw back their word at them (and say): "Indeed ye are liars!" وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا ‍‍‍رَ‌أَ‌ى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌أَشْ‍رَكُوا شُ‍رَك‍‍َا‌ءَهُمْ قَ‍‍الُوا ‌‍رَبَّنَا‌ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ شُ‍رَك‍‍َا‌ؤُنَا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كُ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ نَ‍‍دْعُو‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌دُ‌ونِكَ ۖ فَأَلْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْ‌ا إِلَيْهِمُ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْلَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ لَكَا‌ذِبُونَ
Wa 'Alqawā 'Ilá Allāhi Yawma'idhin As-Salama ۖ Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna (An-Naĥl: 87). 016.087 That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to God; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch. وَ‌أَلْ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍وْ‌ا إِلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ يَوْمَئِذ‌‌ٍ ‌ال‍‍سَّلَمَ ۖ ‌وَ‍ضَ‍‍لَّ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَفْتَرُ‌ونَ
Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Şaddū `An Sabīli Allāhi Zidnāhum `Adhābāan Fawqa Al-`Adhābi Bimā Kānū Yufsidūna (An-Naĥl: 88). 016.088 Those who reject God and hinder (men) from the Path of God - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief. ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌وَ‍‍صَ‍‍دُّ‌وا عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌زِ‌دْنَاهُمْ عَذَ‌اباً فَ‍‍وْ‍‍قَ ‌العَذ‍َ‍‌ابِ بِمَا‌ كَانُوا يُفْسِدُ‌ونَ
Wa Yawma Nab`athu Fī Kulli 'Ummatin Shahīdāan `Alayhim Min 'Anfusihim ۖ Wa Ji'nā Bika Shahīdāan `Alá Hā'uulā' ۚ Wa Nazzalnā `Alayka Al-Kitāba Tibyānāan Likulli Shay'in Wa Hudan Wa Raĥmatan Wa Bushrá Lilmuslimīna (An-Naĥl: 89). 016.089 One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims. وَيَ‍‍وْمَ نَ‍‍بْ‍‍عَثُ فِي كُلِّ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ شَهِيد‌اً‌ عَلَيْهِمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسِهِمْ ۖ ‌وَجِئْنَا‌ بِكَ شَهِيد‌اً‌ عَلَى‌ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ ۚ ‌وَنَزَّلْنَا‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابَ تِ‍‍بْ‍‍يَاناً لِكُلِّ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ ‌وَهُ‍‍د‌ىً ‌وَ‌‍‍‍رَحْمَةً ‌وَبُشْ‍رَ‌ى‌ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
'Inna Allāha Ya'muru Bil-`Adli Wa Al-'Iĥsāni Wa 'Ītā'i Dhī Al-Qurbá Wa Yanhá `Ani Al-Faĥshā'i Wa Al-Munkari Wa Al-Baghyi ۚ Ya`ižukum La`allakum Tadhakkarūna (An-Naĥl: 90). 016.090 God commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ يَأْمُرُ‌ بِ‌الْعَ‍‍دْلِ ‌وَ‌الإِحْس‍‍َانِ ‌وَ‌إِيت‍‍َا‌ءِ ذِي ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍رْبَى وَيَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَى‌ عَنِ ‌الْفَحْش‍‍َا‌ءِ وَ‌الْمُ‍‌‍ن‍‍كَ‍‍رِ ‌وَ‌الْبَ‍‍غْ‍‍يِ ۚ يَعِ‍‍ظُ‍‍كُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa 'Awfū Bi`ahdi Allāhi 'Idhā `Āhadtum Wa Lā Tanquđū Al-'Aymāna Ba`da Tawk99dihā Wa Qad Ja`altumu Allāha `Alaykum Kafīlāan ۚ 'Inna Allāha Ya`lamu Mā Taf`alūna (An-Naĥl: 91). 016.091 Fulfil the Covenant of God when ye have entered into it, and break not your oaths after ye have confirmed them; indeed ye have made God your surety; for God knoweth all that ye do. وَ‌أَ‌وْفُوا بِعَهْدِ‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ عَاهَ‍‍دْتُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‌‍ن‍‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ضُ‍‍وا ‌الأَيْم‍‍َانَ بَعْدَ‌ تَوْكِيدِهَا وَقَ‍‍دْ‌ جَعَلْتُمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيلاً ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ يَعْلَمُ مَا‌ تَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Lā Takūnū Kāllatī Naqađat Ghazlahā Min Ba`di Qūwatin 'Anthāan Tattakhidhūna 'Aymānakum Dakhalāan Baynakum 'An Takūna 'Ummatun Hiya 'Arbá Min 'Ummatin ۚ 'Innamā Yablūkumu Allāhu Bihi ۚ Wa Layubayyinanna Lakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Mā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna (An-Naĥl: 92). 016.092 And be not like a woman who breaks into untwisted strands the yarn which she has spun, after it has become strong. Nor take your oaths to practise deception between yourselves, lest one party should be more numerous than another: for God will test you by this; and on the Day of Judgment He will certainly make clear to you (the truth of) that wherein ye disagree. وَلاَ‌ تَكُونُوا كَالَّتِي نَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍ضَ‍‍تْ غَ‍‍زْلَهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ‌ قُ‍‍وَّةٍ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍كَاثاً تَتَّ‍‍خِ‍‍ذ‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌أَيْمَانَكُمْ ‌دَ‍خَ‍‍لاً بَيْنَكُمْ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ تَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٌ هِيَ ‌أَ‌رْبَى‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ يَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُوكُمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ بِهِ ۚ ‌وَلَيُبَيِّنَ‍‍نّ‌َ لَكُمْ يَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ مَا‌ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ تَ‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِفُونَ
Wa Law Shā'a Allāhu Laja`alakum 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan Wa Lakin Yuđillu Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī Man Yashā'u ۚ Wa Latus'alunna `Ammā Kuntum Ta`malūna (An-Naĥl: 93). 016.093 If God so willed, He could make you all one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions. وَلَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةً ‌وَ‌احِدَةً ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُ‍‍‍‍ضِ‍‍لُّ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَش‍‍َا‌ءُ وَيَهْدِي مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَش‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ ۚ ‌وَلَتُسْأَلُ‍‍نّ‌َ عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Lā Tattakhidhū 'Aymānakum Dakhalāan Baynakum Fatazilla Qadamun Ba`da Thubūtihā Wa Tadhūqū As-Sū'a Bimā Şadadtum `An Sabīli Allāhi ۖ Wa Lakum `Adhābun `Ažīmun (An-Naĥl: 94). 016.094 And take not your oaths, to practise deception between yourselves, with the result that someone's foot may slip after it was firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having hindered (men) from the Path of God, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you. وَلاَ‌ تَتَّ‍‍‍‍خِ‍‍ذُ‌وا ‌أَيْمَانَكُمْ ‌دَ‍خَ‍‍لاً بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَ‍‍دَم‌‍ٌ بَعْدَ‌ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُ‌وقُ‍‍وا ‌ال‍‍سّ‍‍ُ‍و‌ءَ‌ بِمَا‌ صَ‍‍دَ‌دْتُمْ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ۖ ‌وَلَكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ عَ‍‍ظِ‍‍يمٌ
Wa Lā Tashtarū Bi`ahdi Allāhi Thamanāan Qalīlāan ۚ 'Innamā `Inda Allāhi Huwa Khayrun Lakum 'In Kuntum Ta`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 95). 016.095 Nor sell the covenant of God for a miserable price: for with God is (a prize) far better for you, if ye only knew. وَلاَ‌ تَشْتَرُ‌وا بِعَهْدِ‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ثَمَناً قَ‍‍لِيلاً ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ هُوَ خَ‍‍يْ‍‍ر‌ٌ لَكُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ
Mā `Indakum Yanfadu ۖ Wa Mā `Inda Allāhi Bāqin ۗ Wa Lanajziyanna Al-Ladhīna Şabarū 'Ajrahum Bi'aĥsani Mā Kānū Ya`malūna (An-Naĥl: 96). 016.096 What is with you must vanish: what is with God will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions. مَا‌ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَكُمْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍فَدُ‌ ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ب‍‍َا‍‍قٍ ۗ ‌وَلَنَ‍‍جْ‍‍زِيَ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ صَ‍‍بَرُ‌وا ‌أَجْ‍‍‍رَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Min Dhakarin 'Aw 'Unthá Wa Huwa Mu'uminun Falanuĥyiyannahu Ĥayāatan Ţayyibatan ۖ Wa Lanajziyannahum 'Ajrahum Bi'aĥsani Mā Kānū Ya`malūna (An-Naĥl: 97). 016.097 Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions. مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ عَمِلَ صَ‍‍الِحاً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌ذَكَرٍ أَ‌وْ أُ‌ن‍‍ثَى وَهُوَ‌ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُ حَي‍‍َاةً طَ‍‍يِّبَةً ۖ ‌وَلَنَ‍‍جْ‍‍زِيَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌أَجْ‍‍‍رَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Fa'idhā Qara'ta Al-Qur'āna Fāsta`idh Billāhi Mina Ash-Shayţāni Ar-Rajīmi (An-Naĥl: 98). 016.098 When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek God's protection from Satan the rejected one. فَإِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ قَ‍رَ‌أْتَ ‌الْ‍‍قُ‍‍رْ‌آنَ فَاسْتَعِذْ‌ بِ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍شَّيْ‍‍طَ‍انِ ‌ال‍رَّجِيمِ
'Innahu Laysa Lahu Sulţānun `Alá Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna (An-Naĥl: 99). 016.099 No authority has he over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ لَهُ سُلْ‍‍‍‍طَ‍انٌ عَلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا ‌وَعَلَى ‍رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
'Innamā Sulţānuhu `Alá Al-Ladhīna Yatawallawnahu Wa Al-Ladhīna Hum Bihi Mushrikūna (An-Naĥl: 100). 016.100 His authority is over those only, who take him as patron and who join partners with God. إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ سُلْ‍‍‍‍طَ‍‍انُهُ عَلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَتَوَلَّوْنَهُ ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ بِهِ مُشْ‍‍رِكُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Baddalnā 'Āyatan Makāna 'Āyatin Wa ۙ Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Yunazzilu Qālū 'Innamā 'Anta Muftarin ۚ Bal 'Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna (An-Naĥl: 101). 016.101 When We substitute one revelation for another,- and God knows best what He reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not. وَ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ بَدَّلْنَ‍‍ا آيَةً مَك‍‍َانَ ‌آيَةٍ ۙ ‌وَ‌اللَّهُ ‌أَعْلَمُ بِمَا‌ يُنَزِّلُ قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ مُفْتَر‌ٍ ۚ بَلْ ‌أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ‌ يَعْلَمُونَ
Qul Nazzalahu Rūĥu Al-Qudusi Min Rabbika Bil-Ĥaqqi Liyuthabbita Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Hudan Wa Bushrá Lilmuslimīna (An-Naĥl: 102). 016.102 Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims. قُ‍‍لْ نَزَّلَهُ ‌ر‍ُ‍‌وحُ ‌الْ‍‍قُ‍‍دُسِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّكَ بِ‌الْحَ‍‍قِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا ‌وَهُ‍‍د‌ىً ‌وَبُشْ‍رَ‌ى‌ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
Wa Laqad Na`lamu 'Annahum Yaqūlūna 'Innamā Yu`allimuhu Basharun ۗ Lisānu Al-Ladhī Yulĥidūna 'Ilayhi 'A`jamīyun Wa Hadhā Lisānun `Arabīyun Mubīnun (An-Naĥl: 103). 016.103 We know indeed that they say, "It is a man that teaches him." The tongue of him they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ نَعْلَمُ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ يُعَلِّمُهُ بَشَر‌ٌ ۗ لِس‍‍َانُ ‌الَّذِي يُلْحِد‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌أَعْجَمِيٌّ ‌وَهَذَ‌ا‌ لِس‍‍َانٌ عَ‍رَبِيٌّ مُبِينٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Lā Yahdīhimu Allāhu Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun (An-Naĥl: 104). 016.104 Those who believe not in the Signs of God,- God will not guide them, and theirs will be a grievous Penalty. إِنّ‌َ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِآي‍‍َاتِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ لاَ‌ يَهْدِيهِمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌وَلَهُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ ‌أَلِيمٌ
'Innamā Yaftarī Al-Kadhiba Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi ۖ Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Kādhibūna (An-Naĥl: 105). 016.105 It is those who believe not in the Signs of God, that forge falsehood: it is they who lie! إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ يَفْتَ‍‍رِي ‌الْكَذِبَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِآي‍‍َاتِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ۖ ‌وَ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ هُمُ ‌الْكَا‌ذِبُونَ
Man Kafara Billāhi Min Ba`di 'Īmānihi 'Illā Man 'Ukriha Wa Qalbuhu Muţma'innun Bil-'Īmāni Wa Lakin Man Sharaĥa Bil-Kufri Şadan Fa`alayhim Ghađabun Mina Allāhi Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun (An-Naĥl: 106). 016.106 Any one who, after accepting faith in God, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from God, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty. مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كَفَ‍‍‍رَ‌ بِ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ إِيمَانِهِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أُكْ‍‍رِهَ ‌وَقَ‍‍لْبُهُ مُ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍مَئِ‍‍نّ‌‍‍‌‍ٌ بِ‌الإِيم‍‍َانِ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍رَحَ بِ‌الْكُفْ‍‍رِ صَ‍‍دْ‌ر‌اً فَعَلَيْهِمْ غَ‍‍ضَ‍‍بٌ مِنَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَلَهُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ عَ‍‍ظِ‍‍يمٌ
Dhālika Bi'annahumu Astaĥabbū Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā `Alá Al-'Ākhirati Wa 'Anna Allāha Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Kāfirīna (An-Naĥl: 107). 016.107 This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and God will not guide those who reject Faith. ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ‍‍هُمُ ‌اسْتَحَبُّوا ‌الْحَي‍‍َاةَ ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الآ‍‍‍‍خِ‍رَةِ ‌وَ‌أَنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ لاَ‌ يَهْدِي ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍رِينَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ţaba`a Allāhu `Alá Qulūbihim Wa Sam`ihim Wa 'Abşārihim ۖ Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Ghāfilūna (An-Naĥl: 108). 016.108 Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes God has sealed up, and they take no heed. أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ طَ‍‍بَعَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ عَلَى‌ قُ‍‍لُوبِهِمْ ‌وَسَمْعِهِمْ ‌وَ‌أَبْ‍‍‍‍صَ‍‍ا‌رِهِمْ ۖ ‌وَ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ هُمُ ‌الْ‍‍غَ‍‍افِلُونَ
Lā Jarama 'Annahum Al-'Ākhirati Humu Al-Khāsirūna (An-Naĥl: 109). 016.109 Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. لاَ‌ جَ‍‍‍رَمَ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ فِي ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ هُمُ ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍اسِرُ‌ونَ
Thumma 'Inna Rabbaka Lilladhīna Hājarū Min Ba`di Mā Futinū Thumma Jāhadū Wa Şabarū 'Inna Rabbaka Min Ba`dihā Laghafūrun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 110). 016.110 But verily thy Lord,- to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions,- and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere,- Thy Lord, after all this is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍‍‍رَبَّكَ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هَاجَرُ‌وا مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ‌ مَا‌ فُتِنُوا ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ جَاهَدُ‌وا ‌وَ‍صَ‍‍بَرُ‌وا ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِهَا‌ لَ‍‍غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
Yawma Ta'tī Kullu Nafsin Tujādilu `An Nafsihā Wa Tuwaffá Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna (An-Naĥl: 111). 016.111 One Day every soul will come up struggling for itself, and every soul will be recompensed (fully) for all its actions, and none will be unjustly dealt with. يَ‍‍وْمَ تَأْتِي كُلُّ نَفْسٍ تُجَا‌دِلُ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ نَفْسِهَا وَتُوَفَّى‌ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا‌ عَمِلَتْ ‌وَهُمْ لاَ‌ يُ‍‍‍‍ظْ‍‍لَمُونَ
Wa Đaraba Allāhu Mathalāan Qaryatan Kānat 'Āminatan Muţma'innatan Ya'tīhā Rizquhā Raghadāan Min Kulli Makānin Fakafarat Bi'an`umi Allāhi Fa'adhāqahā Al-Lahu Libāsa Al-Jū`i Wa Al-Khawfi Bimā Kānū Yaşna`ūna (An-Naĥl: 112). 016.112 God sets forth a Parable: a city enjoying security and quiet, abundantly supplied with sustenance from every place: Yet was it ungrateful for the favours of God: so God made it taste of hunger and terror (in extremes) (closing in on it) like a garment (from every side), because of the (evil) which (its people) wrought. وَ‍‍ضَ‍رَبَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ مَثَلاً قَ‍‍رْيَةً كَانَتْ ‌آمِنَةً مُ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍مَئِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةً يَأْتِيهَا‌ ‌رِ‌زْقُ‍‍هَا ‍رَغَ‍‍د‌اً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلِّ مَك‍‍َانٍ فَكَفَ‍رَتْ بِأَ‌نْ‍‍عُمِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ فَأَ‌ذَ‌اقَ‍‍هَا‌ ‌اللَّهُ لِب‍‍َاسَ ‌الْج‍‍ُ‍وعِ ‌وَ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍وْفِ بِمَا‌ كَانُوا يَ‍‍صْ‍‍نَعُونَ
Wa Laqad Jā'ahum Rasūlun Minhum Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'akhadhahumu Al-`Adhābu Wa Hum Žālimūna (An-Naĥl: 113). 016.113 And there came to them an Apostle from among themselves, but they falsely rejected him; so the Wrath seized them even in the midst of their iniquities. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَهُمْ ‌‍رَس‍‍ُ‍ولٌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ فَكَذَّب‍‍ُ‍وهُ فَأَ‍خَ‍‍ذَهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ ‌وَهُمْ ظَ‍‍الِمُونَ
Fakulū Mimmā Razaqakumu Allāhu Ĥalālāan Ţayyibāan Wa Ashkurū Ni`mata Allāhi 'In Kuntum 'Īyāhu Ta`budūna (An-Naĥl: 114). 016.114 So eat of the sustenance which God has provided for you, lawful and good; and be grateful for the favours of God, if it is He Whom ye serve. فَكُلُوا مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا ‍‍‍رَ‌زَقَ‍‍كُمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ حَلالاً طَ‍‍يِّباً ‌وَ‌اشْكُرُ‌وا نِعْمَةَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍تُمْ ‌إِيّ‍‍َاهُ تَعْبُدُ‌ونَ
'Innamā Ĥarrama `Alaykumu Al-Maytata Wa Ad-Dama Wa Laĥma Al-Khinzīri Wa Mā 'Uhilla Lighayri Allāhi Bihi ۖ Famani Ađţurra Ghayraghin Wa Lā `Ādin Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 115). 016.115 He has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than God has been invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ حَ‍‍‍رَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ ‌الْمَيْتَةَ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍دَّمَ ‌وَلَحْمَ ‌الْ‍‍خِ‍‍‌‍نْ‍‍ز‍ِ‍ي‍‍رِ وَمَ‍‍ا أُهِلَّ لِ‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ بِهِ ۖ فَمَنِ ‌اضْ‍‍طُ‍رَّغَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌ ب‍‍َاغٍ ‌وَلاَ‌ ع‍‍َا‌د‌‌ٍ فَإِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
Wa Lā Taqūlū Limā Taşifu 'Alsinatukumu Al-Kadhiba Hādhā Ĥalālun Wa Hadhā Ĥarāmun Litaftarū `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba ۚ 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yaftarūna `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba Lā Yufliĥūna (An-Naĥl: 116). 016.116 But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false things to God. For those who ascribe false things to God, will never prosper. وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ولُوا لِمَا‌ تَ‍‍صِ‍‍فُ ‌أَلْسِنَتُكُمُ ‌الْكَذِبَ هَذَ‌ا‌ حَلاَلٌ ‌وَهَذَ‌ا‌ حَ‍رَ‍‌ام ٌ لِتَفْتَرُ‌وا عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌الْكَذِبَ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَفْتَر‍ُ‍‌ونَ عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌الْكَذِبَ لاَ‌ يُفْلِحُونَ
Matā`un Qalīlun Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun (An-Naĥl: 117). 016.117 (In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. مَت‍‍َاعٌ قَ‍‍ل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٌ ‌وَلَهُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ ‌أَلِيمٌ
Wa `Alá Al-Ladhīna Hādū Ĥarramnā Mā Qaşaşnā `Alayka Min Qablu ۖ Wa Mā Žalamnāhum Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna (An-Naĥl: 118). 016.118 To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves. وَعَلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هَا‌دُ‌وا حَ‍‍‍رَّمْنَا‌ مَا‌ قَ‍‍صَ‍‍صْ‍‍نَا‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ ظَ‍‍لَمْنَاهُمْ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كَانُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ يَ‍‍ظْ‍‍لِمُونَ
Thumma 'Inna Rabbaka Lilladhīna `Amilū As-Sū'a Bijahālatin Thumma Tābū Min Ba`di Dhālika Wa 'Aşlaĥū 'Inna Rabbaka Min Ba`dihā Laghafūrun Raĥīmun (An-Naĥl: 119). 016.119 But verily thy Lord,- to those who do wrong in ignorance, but who thereafter repent and make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍‍‍رَبَّكَ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ عَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍سّ‍‍ُ‍و‌ءَ‌ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ تَابُوا مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ ‌وَ‌أَ‍صْ‍‍لَحُ‍‍وا ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِهَا‌ لَ‍‍غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
'Inna 'Ibhīma Kāna 'Ummatan Qānitāan Lillāh Ĥanīfāan Wa Lam Yaku Mina Al-Mushrikīna (An-Naĥl: 120). 016.120 Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to God, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with God: إِنّ‌َ ‌إِبْ‍‍‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ ك‍‍َانَ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةً قَ‍‍انِتاً لِلَّهِ حَنِيفاً ‌وَلَمْ يَكُ مِنَ ‌الْمُشْ‍‍رِكِينَ
Shākian Li'n`umihi ۚ Ajtabāhu Wa Hadāhu 'Ilá Şiţin Mustaqīm (An-Naĥl: 121). 016.121 He showed his gratitude for the favours of God, who chose him, and guided him to a Straight Way. شَاكِ‍‍ر‌اً لِأ‌نْ‍‍عُمِهِ ۚ ‌اجْ‍‍تَب‍‍َاهُ ‌وَهَد‍َ‍‌اهُ ‌إِلَى‌ صِ‍رَ‍‌اطٍ مُسْتَ‍‍ق‍‍ِ‍‍يم
Wa 'Ātaynāhu Fī Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatan ۖ Wa 'Innahu Fī Al-'Ākhirati Lamina Aş-Şāliĥīna (An-Naĥl: 122). 016.122 And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. وَ‌آتَيْن‍‍َاهُ فِي ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا‌ حَسَنَةً ۖ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ فِي ‌الآ‍‍‍‍خِ‍رَةِ لَمِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍الِحِينَ
Thumma 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka 'Ani Attabi` Millata 'Ibhīma Ĥanīfāan ۖ Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna (An-Naĥl: 123). 016.123 So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with God." ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ ‌أَ‌وْحَيْنَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌أَنِ ‌اتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ ‌إِبْ‍‍‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ حَنِيفاً ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌الْمُشْ‍‍رِكِينَ
'Innamā Ju`ila As-Sabtu `Alá Al-Ladhīna Akhtalafū Fīhi ۚ Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Layaĥkumu Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna (An-Naĥl: 124). 016.124 The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But God will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences. إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ جُعِلَ ‌ال‍‍سَّ‍‍بْ‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌ا‍‍خْ‍‍تَلَفُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ۚ ‌وَ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ لَيَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ فِيمَا‌ كَانُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ يَ‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِفُونَ
Ad`u 'Ilá Sabīli Rabbika Bil-Ĥikmati Wa Al-Maw`ižati Al-Ĥasanati ۖ Wa Jādilhum Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu ۚ 'Inna Rabbaka Huwa 'A`lamu Biman Đalla `An Sabīlihi ۖ Wa Huwa 'A`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna (An-Naĥl: 125). 016.125 Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. ا‌دْعُ ‌إِلَى‌ سَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌‍‍‍رَبِّكَ بِ‌الْحِكْمَةِ ‌وَ‌الْمَوْعِ‍‍ظَ‍‍ةِ ‌الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ ‌وَجَا‌دِلْهُمْ بِ‌الَّتِي هِيَ ‌أَحْسَنُ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ضَ‍‍لَّ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سَبِيلِهِ ۖ ‌وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِ‌الْمُهْتَدِينَ
Wa 'In `Āqabtum Fa`āqibū Bimithli Mā `Ūqibtum Bihi ۖ Wa La'in Şabartum Lahuwa Khayrun Lilşşābirīna (An-Naĥl: 126). 016.126 And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient. وَ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ عَا‍‍قَ‍‍بْ‍‍تُمْ فَعَاقِ‍‍بُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا‌ عُوقِ‍‍بْ‍‍تُمْ بِهِ ۖ ‌وَلَئِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ صَ‍‍بَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَ‍‍يْ‍‍ر‌ٌ لِل‍‍صَّ‍‍ابِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa Aşbir Wa Mā Şabruka 'Illā Billāhi ۚ Wa Lā Taĥzan `Alayhim Wa Lā Taku Fī Đayqin Mimmā Yamkurūna (An-Naĥl: 127). 016.127 And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from God; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots. وَ‌ا‍‍صْ‍‍بِ‍‍ر‌ْ وَمَا‌ صَ‍‍بْ‍‍رُكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ۚ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَحْزَ‌ن‌ْ عَلَيْهِمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَكُ فِي ضَ‍‍يْ‍‍قٍ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ يَمْكُرُ‌ونَ
'Inna Allāha Ma`a Al-Ladhīna Attaqawā Wa Al-Ladhīna Hum Muĥsinūna (An-Naĥl: 128). 016.128 For God is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. إِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ مَعَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌اتَّ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍وْ‌ا وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ مُحْسِنُونَ
