   | 'Ayaĥsabu Al-'Insānu 'Allan Najma`a `Ižāmahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 3).    | 075.003 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones ? | أَيَحْسَبُ الإِنسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ | 
       
   | Balá Qādirīna `Alá 'An Nusawwiya Banānahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 4).    | 075.004 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! | بَلَى قَادِرِينَ عَلَى أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ | 
       
   | Bal Yurīdu Al-'Insānu Liyafjura 'Amāmahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 5).    | 075.005 But man would fain deny what is before him. | بَلْ يُرِيدُ الإِنسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ | 
       
   | Yas'alu 'Ayyāna Yawmu Al-Qiyāmahi (Al-Qiyāmah: 6).    | 075.006 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection ? | يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ | 
       
   | Fa'idhā Bariqa Al-Başaru (Al-Qiyāmah: 7).    | 075.007 But when sight is confounded | فَإِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ | 
       
   | Wa Khasafa Al-Qamaru (Al-Qiyāmah: 8).    | 075.008 And the moon is eclipsed | وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ | 
       
   | Wa Jumi`a Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru (Al-Qiyāmah: 9).    | 075.009 And sun and moon are united, | وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ | 
       
   | Yaqūlu Al-'Insānu Yawma'idhin 'Ayna Al-Mafarru (Al-Qiyāmah: 10).    | 075.010 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! | يَقُولُ الإِنسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ | 
       
   | Kallā Lā Wazara (Al-Qiyāmah: 11).    | 075.011 Alas! No refuge! | كَلاَّ لاَ وَزَرَ | 
       
   | 'Ilá Rabbika Yawma'idhin Al-Mustaqarru (Al-Qiyāmah: 12).    | 075.012 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. | إِلَى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ | 
       
   | Yunabba'u Al-'Insānu Yawma'idhin Bimā Qaddama Wa 'Akhkhara (Al-Qiyāmah: 13).    | 075.013 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. | يُنَبَّأُ الإِنسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ | 
       
   | Bali Al-'Insānu `Alá Nafsihi Başīrahun (Al-Qiyāmah: 14).    | 075.014 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, | بَلِ الإِنسَانُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ | 
       
   | Wa Law 'Alqá Ma`ādhīrahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 15).    | 075.015 Although he tender his excuses. | وَلَوْ أَلْقَى مَعَاذِيرَهُ | 
       
   | Lā Tuĥarrik Bihi Lisānaka Lita`jala Bihi (Al-Qiyāmah: 16).    | 075.016 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. | لاَ تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ | 
       
   | 'Inna `Alaynā Jam`ahu Wa Qur'ānahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 17).    | 075.017 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. | إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ | 
       
   | Fa'idhā Qara'nāhu Fa Attabi` Qur'ānahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 18).    | 075.018 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; | فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ | 
       
   | Thumma 'Inna `Alaynā Bayānahu (Al-Qiyāmah: 19).    | 075.019 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. | ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ | 
       
   | Kallā Bal Tuĥibbūna Al-`Ājilaha (Al-Qiyāmah: 20).    | 075.020 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now | كَلاَّ بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ | 
       
   | Wa Tadharūna Al-'Ākhiraha (Al-Qiyāmah: 21).    | 075.021 And neglect the Hereafter. | وَتَذَرُونَ الآخِرَةَ | 
       
   | Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Nāđirahun (Al-Qiyāmah: 22).    | 075.022 That day will faces be resplendent, | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ | 
       
   | 'Ilá Rabbihā Nāžirahun (Al-Qiyāmah: 23).    | 075.023 Looking toward their Lord; | إِلَى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ | 
       
   | Wa Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Bāsirahun (Al-Qiyāmah: 24).    | 075.024 And that day will other faces be despondent, | وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ | 
       
   | Tažunnu 'An Yuf`ala Bihā Fāqirahun (Al-Qiyāmah: 25).    | 075.025 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. | تَظُنُّ أَنْ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ | 
       
   | Kallā 'Idhā Balaghati At-Tarāqī (Al-Qiyāmah: 26).    | 075.026 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat | كَلاَّ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِي | 
       
   | Wa Qīla Man ۜ Rāqin (Al-Qiyāmah: 27).    | 075.027 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now) ? | وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ | 
       
   | Wa Žanna 'Annahu Al-Firāqu (Al-Qiyāmah: 28).    | 075.028 And he knoweth that it is the parting; | وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ | 
       
   | Wa Altaffati As-Sāqu Bis-Sāqi (Al-Qiyāmah: 29).    | 075.029 And agony is heaped on agony; | وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ | 
       
   | 'Ilá Rabbika Yawma'idhin Al-Masāqu (Al-Qiyāmah: 30).    | 075.030 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. | إِلَى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ | 
       
   | Falā Şaddaqa Wa Lā Şallá (Al-Qiyāmah: 31).    | 075.031 For he neither trusted, nor prayed. | فَلاَ صَدَّقَ وَلاَ صَلَّى | 
       
   | Wa Lakin Kadhdhaba Wa Tawallá (Al-Qiyāmah: 32).    | 075.032 But he denied and flouted. | وَلَكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى | 
       
   | Thumma Dhahaba 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Yatamaţţá (Al-Qiyāmah: 33).    | 075.033 Then went he to his folk with glee. | ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّى | 
       
   | 'Awlá Laka Fa'awlá (Al-Qiyāmah: 34).    | 075.034 Nearer unto thee and nearer, | أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى | 
       
   | Thumma 'Awlá Laka Fa'awlá (Al-Qiyāmah: 35).    | 075.035 Again nearer unto thee and nearer (is the doom). | ثُمَّ أَوْلَى لَكَ فَأَوْلَى | 
       
   | 'Ayaĥsabu Al-'Insānu 'An Yutraka Sudan (Al-Qiyāmah: 36).    | 075.036 Thinketh man that he is to be left aimless ? | أَيَحْسَبُ الإِنسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدىً | 
       
   | 'Alam Yaku Nuţfatan Min Manīyin Yumná (Al-Qiyāmah: 37).    | 075.037 Was he not a drop of fluid which gushed forth ? | أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَى | 
       
   | Thumma Kāna `Alaqatan Fakhalaqa Fasawwá (Al-Qiyāmah: 38).    | 075.038 Then he became a clot; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned | ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّى | 
       
   | Faja`ala Minhu Az-Zawjayni Adh-Dhakara Wa Al-'Unthá (Al-Qiyāmah: 39).    | 075.039 And made of him a pair, the male and female. | فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثَى | 
       
   | 'Alaysa Dhālika Biqādirin `Alá 'An Yuĥyiya Al-Mawtá (Al-Qiyāmah: 40).    | 075.040 Is not He (Who doeth so) Able to bring the dead to life ? | أَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى |
