Ar-Raĥmānu  | 055.001 The Beneficent | الرَّحمَانُ |
`Allama Al-Qur'āna  | 055.002 Hath made known the Qur'an. | عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ |
Khalaqa Al-'Insāna  | 055.003 He hath created man. | خَلَقَ الإِنسَانَ |
`Allamahu Al-Bayāna  | 055.004 He hath taught him utterance. | عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ |
Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru Biĥusbānin  | 055.005 The sun and the moon are made punctual. | الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَان ٍ |
Wa An-Najmu Wa Ash-Shajaru Yasjudāni  | 055.006 The stars and the trees adore. | وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ |
Wa As-Samā'a Rafa`ahā Wa Wađa`a Al-Mīzāna  | 055.007 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, | وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ |
'Allā Taţghaw Fī Al-Mīzāni  | 055.008 That ye exceed not the measure, | أَلاَّ تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ |
Wa 'Aqīmū Al-Wazna Bil-Qisţi Wa Lā Tukhsirū Al-Mīzāna  | 055.009 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. | وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلاَ تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ |
Wa Al-'Arđa Wađa`ahā Lil'anāmi  | 055.010 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, | وَالأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلأَنَامِ |
Fīhā Fākihatun Wa An-Nakhlu Dhātu Al-'Akmāmi  | 055.011 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, | فِيهَا فَاكِهَة ٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الأَكْمَامِ |
Wa Al-Ĥabbu Dhū Al-`Aşfi Wa Ar-Rayĥānu  | 055.012 Husked grain and scented herb. | وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.013 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Khalaqa Al-'Insāna Min Şalşālin Kālfakhkhāri  | 055.014 He created man of clay like the potter's, | خَلَقَ الإِنسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَال ٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ |
Wa Khalaqa Al-Jānna Min Mārijin Min Nārin  | 055.015 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. | وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِج ٍ مِنْ نَار ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.016 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Rabbu Al-Mashriqayni Wa Rabbu Al-Maghribayni  | 055.017 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! | رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.018 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Maraja Al-Baĥrayni Yaltaqiyāni  | 055.019 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. | مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ |
Baynahumā Barzakhun Lā Yabghiyāni  | 055.020 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). | بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخ ٌ لاَ يَبْغِيَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.021 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Yakhruju Minhumā Al-Lu'ulu'uu Wa Al-Marjānu  | 055.022 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. | يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.023 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Wa Lahu Al-Jawāri Al-Munsha'ātu Fī Al-Baĥri Kāl'a`lāmi  | 055.024 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. | وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالأَعْلاَمِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.025 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Kullu Man `Alayhā Fānin  | 055.026 Everyone that is thereon will pass away; | كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَان ٍ |
Wa Yabqá Wajhu Rabbika Dhū Al-Jalāli Wa Al-'Ikrāmi  | 055.027 There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory. | وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.028 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Yas'aluhu Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Kulla Yawmin Huwa Fī Sha'nin  | 055.029 All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power. | يَسْأَلُه ُُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْن ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.030 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Sanafrughu Lakum 'Ayyuhā Ath-Thaqalāni  | 055.031 We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). | سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَا الثَّقَلاَنِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.032 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Yā Ma`shara Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi 'Ini Astaţa`tum 'An Tanfudhū Min 'Aqţāri As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Fānfudhū Lā Tanfudhūna 'Illā Bisulţānin  | 055.033 O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. | يَامَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا لاَ تَنفُذُونَ إِلاَّ بِسُلْطَان ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.034 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Yursalu `Alaykumā Shuwāžun Min Nārin Wa Nuĥāsun Falā Tantaşirāni  | 055.035 There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape. | يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظ ٌ مِنْ نَار ٍ وَنُحَاس ٌ فَلاَ تَنتَصِرَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.036 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fa'idhā Anshaqqati As-Samā'u Fakānat Wardatan Kālddihāni  | 055.037 And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide - | فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَة ً كَالدِّهَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.038 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? - | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fayawma'idhin Lā Yus'alu `An Dhanbihi 'Insun Wa Lā Jānnun  | 055.039 On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin. | فَيَوْمَئِذ ٍ لاَ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ~ِ إِنس ٌ وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.040 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Yu`rafu Al-Mujrimūna Bisīmāhum Fayu'ukhadhu Bin-Nawāşī Wa Al-'Aqdāmi  | 055.041 The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet. | يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالأَقْدَامِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.042 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Hadhihi Jahannamu Allatī Yukadhdhibu Bihā Al-Mujrimūna  | 055.043 This is hell which the guilty deny. | هَذِه ِِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
Yaţūfūna Baynahā Wa Bayna Ĥamīmin 'Ānin  | 055.044 They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water. | يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيم ٍ آن ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.045 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Wa Liman Khāfa Maqāma Rabbihi Jannatāni  | 055.046 But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens. | وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّه ِِ جَنَّتَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.047 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Dhawātā 'Afnānin  | 055.048 Of spreading branches. | ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَان ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.049 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhimā `Aynāni Tajriyāni  | 055.050 Wherein are two fountains flowing. | فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.051 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhimā Min Kulli Fākihatin Zawjāni  | 055.052 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs. | فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَة ٍ زَوْجَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.053 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Muttaki'īna `Alá Furushin Baţā'inuhā Min 'Istabraqin Wa Janá Al-Jannatayni Dānin  | 055.054 Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand. | مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى فُرُش ٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَق ٍ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَان ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.055 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhinna Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa Lā Jānnun  | 055.056 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. | فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْس ٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.057 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Ka'annahunna Al-Yāqūtu Wa Al-Marjānu  | 055.058 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. | كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.059 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Hal Jazā'u Al-'Iĥsāni 'Illā Al-'Iĥsānu  | 055.060 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness ? | هَلْ جَزَاءُ الإِحْسَانِ إِلاَّ الإِحْسَانُ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.061 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Wa Min Dūnihimā Jannatāni  | 055.062 And beside them are two other gardens, | وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.063 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Mud/hāmmatāni  | 055.064 Dark green with foliage. | مُدْهَامَّتَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.065 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhimā `Aynāni Nađđākhatāni  | 055.066 Wherein are two abundant springs. | فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.067 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhimā Fākihatun Wa Nakhlun Wa Rummānun  | 055.068 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate. | فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَة ٌ وَنَخْل ٌ وَرُمَّان ٌ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.069 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Fīhinna Khayrātun Ĥisānun  | 055.070 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful - | فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَان ٌ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.071 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? - | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Ĥūrun Maqşūrātun Fī Al-Khiyāmi  | 055.072 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - | حُور ٌ مَقْصُورَات ٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.073 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? - | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Lam Yaţmithhunna 'Insun Qablahum Wa Lā Jānnun  | 055.074 Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them - | لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنس ٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلاَ جَانّ ٌ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.075 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Muttaki'īna `Alá Rafrafin Khuđrin Wa `Abqarīyin Ĥisānin  | 055.076 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets. | مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى رَفْرَفٍ خُضْر ٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَان ٍ |
Fabi'ayyi 'Ālā'i Rabbikumā Tukadhdhibāni  | 055.077 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? | فَبِأَيِّ آلاَءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ |
Tabāraka Asmu Rabbika Dhī Al-Jalāli Wa Al-'Ikrāmi  | 055.078 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious! | تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ |
