37) Sūrat Aş-Şāffāt | Printed format | 37) سُورَة الصَّافَّات |
| Wa Aş-Şāffāti Şaffāan | 037.001 By those who set the ranks in battle order | وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفّا ً |
| Fālzzājirāti Zajrāan | 037.002 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof | فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرا ً |
| Fālttāliyāti Dhikrāan | 037.003 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, | فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرا ً |
| 'Inna 'Ilahakum Lawāĥidun | 037.004 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; | إِنَّ إِلَهَكُمْ لَوَاحِد ٌ |
| Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Wa Rabbu Al-Mashāriqi | 037.005 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. | رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ |
| 'Innā Zayyannā As-Samā'a Ad-Dunyā Bizīnatin Al-Kawākib | 037.006 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; | إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَة ٍ الْكَوَاكِب |
| Wa Ĥifžāan Min Kulli Shayţānin Māridin | 037.007 With security from every froward devil. | وَحِفْظا ً مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَان ٍ مَارِد ٍ |
| Lā Yassamma`ūna 'Ilá Al-Mala'i Al-'A`lá Wa Yuqdhafūna Min Kulli Jānibin | 037.008 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, | لاَ يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الأَعْلَى وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِب ٍ |
| Duĥūrāan Wa Lahum `Adhābun Wa Aşibun | 037.009 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; | دُحُورا ً وَلَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ وَاصِب ٌ |
| 'Illā Man Khaţifa Al-Khaţfata Fa'atba`ahu Shihābun Thāqibāun | 037.010 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. | إِلاَّ مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَه ُُ شِهَاب ٌ ثَاقِبا ٌ |
| Fāstaftihim 'Ahum 'Ashaddu Khalqāan 'Am Man Khalaqnā 'Innā Khalaqnāhum Min Ţīnin Lāzibin | 037.011 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created ? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. | فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقاً أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِين ٍ لاَزِب ٍ |
| Bal `Ajibta Wa Yaskharūna | 037.012 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock | بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Dhukkirū Lā Yadhkurūna | 037.013 And heed not when they are reminded, | وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لاَ يَذْكُرُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ra'aw 'Āyatan Yastaskhirūna | 037.014 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. | وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَة ً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ |
| Wa Qālū 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun | 037.015 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; | وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ سِحْر ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| 'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'innā Lamab`ūthūna | 037.016 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again) ? | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابا ً وَعِظَاماً أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ |
| 'Awa'ābā'uunā Al-'Awwalūna | 037.017 And our forefathers ? | أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الأَوَّلُونَ |
| Qul Na`am Wa 'Antum Dākhirūna | 037.018 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. | قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ |
| Fa'innamā Hiya Zajratun Wāĥidatun Fa'idhā Hum Yanžurūna | 037.019 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, | فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَة ٌ وَاحِدَة ٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Wa Qālū Yā Waylanā Hādhā Yawmu Ad-Dīni | 037.020 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. | وَقَالُوا يَاوَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
| Hādhā Yawmu Al-Faşli Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna | 037.021 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. | هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Aĥshurū Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Wa 'Azwājahum Wa Mā Kānū Ya`budūna | 037.022 (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship | احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ |
| Min Dūni Allāhi Fāhdūhum 'Ilá Şirāţi Al-Jaĥīmi | 037.023 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; | مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَى صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ |
| Wa Qifūhum 'Innahum Mas'ūlūna | 037.024 And stop them, for they must be questioned. | وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ |
| Mā Lakum Lā Tanāşarūna | 037.025 What aileth you that ye help not one another ? | مَا لَكُمْ لاَ تَنَاصَرُونَ |
| Bal Humu Al-Yawma Mustaslimūna | 037.026 Nay, but this day they make full submission. | بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ |
| Wa 'Aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā'alūna | 037.027 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. | وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ |
| Qālū 'Innakum Kuntum Ta'tūnanā `Ani Al-Yamīni | 037.028 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). | قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ |
| Qālū Bal Lam Takūnū Mu'uminīna | 037.029 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. | قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Lanā `Alaykum Min Sulţānin Bal Kuntum Qawmāan Ţāghīna | 037.030 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. | وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَان ٍ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْما ً طَاغِينَ |
| Faĥaqqa `Alaynā Qawlu Rabbinā 'Innā Ladhā'iqūna | 037.031 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). | فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ |
| Fa'aghwaynākum 'Innā Kunnā Ghāwīna | 037.032 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. | فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ |
| Fa'innahum Yawma'idhin Fī Al-`Adhābi Mushtarikūna | 037.033 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. | فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Naf`alu Bil-Mujrimīna | 037.034 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ |
| 'Innahum Kānū 'Idhā Qīla Lahum Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Allāhu Yastakbirūna | 037.035 For when it was said unto them, There is no God save Allah, they were scornful | إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ |
| Wa Yaqūlūna 'A'innā Latārikū 'Ālihatinā Lishā`irin Majnūnin | 037.036 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet ? | وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوا آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِر ٍ مَجْنُون ٍ |
| Bal Jā'a Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Şaddaqa Al-Mursalīna | 037.037 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). | بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
| 'Innakum Ladhā'iqū Al-`Adhābi Al-'Alīmi | 037.038 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - | إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الأَلِيمِ |
| Wa Mā Tujzawna 'Illā Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | 037.039 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - | وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلاَّ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Illā `Ibāda Allāhi Al-Mukhlaşīna | 037.040 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; | إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ |
| 'Ūlā'ika Lahum Rizqun Ma`lūmun | 037.041 For them there is a known provision, | أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْق ٌ مَعْلُوم ٌ |
| Fawākihu Wa Hum Mukramūna | 037.042 Fruits. And they will be honoured | فَوَاكِه ُُ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ |
| Fī Jannāti An-Na`īmi | 037.043 In the Gardens of delight, | فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ |
| `Alá Sururin Mutaqābilīna | 037.044 On couches facing one another; | عَلَى سُرُر ٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ |
| Yuţāfu `Alayhim Bika'sin Min Ma`īnin | 037.045 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, | يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْس ٍ مِنْ مَعِين ٍ |
| Bayđā'a Ladhdhatin Lilshshāribīna | 037.046 White, delicious to the drinkers, | بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّة ٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ |
| Lā Fīhā Ghawlun Wa Lā Hum `Anhā Yunzafūna | 037.047 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. | لاَ فِيهَا غَوْل ٌ وَلاَ هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ |
| Wa `Indahum Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi `Īnun | 037.048 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, | وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِين ٌ |
| Ka'annahunna Bayđun Maknūnun | 037.049 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). | كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْض ٌ مَكْنُون ٌ |
| Fa'aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā'alūna | 037.050 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. | فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ |
| Qāla Qā'ilun Minhum 'Innī Kāna Lī Qarīnun | 037.051 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade | قَالَ قَائِل ٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِين ٌ |
| Yaqūlu 'A'innaka Lamina Al-Muşaddiqīna | 037.052 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words) ? | يَقُولُ أَئِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ |
| 'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'innā Lamadīnūna | 037.053 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book ? | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابا ً وَعِظَاماً أَئِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ |
| Qāla Hal 'Antum Muţţali`ūna | 037.054 He saith: Will ye look ? | قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ |
| Fāţţala`a Fara'āhu Fī Sawā'i Al-Jaĥīmi | 037.055 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. | فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ |
| Qāla Ta-Allāhi 'In Kidta Laturdīni | 037.056 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, | قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ |
| Wa Lawlā Ni`matu Rabbī Lakuntu Mina Al-Muĥđarīna | 037.057 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). | وَلَوْلاَ نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ |
| 'Afamā Naĥnu Bimayyitīna | 037.058 Are we then not to die | أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ |
| 'Illā Mawtatanā Al-'Ūlá Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adhdhabīna | 037.059 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished ? | إِلاَّ مَوْتَتَنَا الأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ |
| 'Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu | 037.060 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. | إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ |
| Limithli Hādhā Falya`mali Al-`Āmilūna | 037.061 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. | لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ |
| 'Adhalika Khayrun Nuzulāan 'Am Shajaratu Az-Zaqqūmi | 037.062 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum ? | أَذَلِكَ خَيْر ٌ نُزُلاً أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ |
| 'Innā Ja`alnāhā Fitnatan Lilžžālimīna | 037.063 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. | إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَة ً لِلظَّالِمِينَ |
| 'Innahā Shajaratun Takhruju Fī 'Aşli Al-Jaĥīmi | 037.064 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. | إِنَّهَا شَجَرَة ٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ |
| Ţal`uhā Ka'annahu Ru'ūsu Ash-Shayāţīni | 037.065 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils | طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّه ُُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ |
| Fa'innahum La'ākilūna Minhā Famāli'ūna Minhā Al-Buţūna | 037.066 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. | فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ |
| Thumma 'Inna Lahum `Alayhā Lashawbāan Min Ĥamīmin | 037.067 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water | ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبا ً مِنْ حَمِيم ٍ |
| Thumma 'Inna Marji`ahum La'ilá Al-Jaĥīmi | 037.068 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. | ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ |
| 'Innahum 'Alfaw 'Ābā'ahum Đāllīna | 037.069 They indeed found their fathers astray, | إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ |
| Fahum `Alá 'Āthārihim Yuhra`ūna | 037.070 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. | فَهُمْ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Đalla Qablahum 'Aktharu Al-'Awwalīna | 037.071 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, | وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Fīhim Mundhirīna | 037.072 And verily We sent among them warners. | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ مُنذِرِينَ |
| Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mundharīna | 037.073 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, | فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنذَرِينَ |
| 'Illā `Ibāda Allāhi Al-Mukhlaşīna | 037.074 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. | إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ |
| Wa Laqad Nādānā Nūĥun Falani`ma Al-Mujībūna | 037.075 And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer | وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوح ٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ |
| Wa Najjaynāhu Wa 'Ahlahu Mina Al-Karbi Al-`Ažīmi | 037.076 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, | وَنَجَّيْنَاه ُُ وَأَهْلَه ُُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ |
| Wa Ja`alnā Dhurrīyatahu Humu Al-Bāqīna | 037.077 And made his seed the survivors, | وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَه ُُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ |
| Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-'Ākhirīna | 037.078 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ |
| Salāmun `Alá Nūĥin Fī Al-`Ālamīna | 037.079 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! | سَلاَمٌ عَلَى نُوح ٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna | 037.080 Lo! thus do We reward the good. | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| 'Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu'uminīna | 037.081 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. | إِنَّه ُُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Thumma 'Aghraqnā Al-'Ākharīna | 037.082 Then We did drown the others. | ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الآخَرِينَ |
| Wa 'Inna Min Shī`atihi La'ibrāhīma | 037.083 And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham | وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ |
| 'Idh Jā'a Rabbahu Biqalbin Salīmin | 037.084 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; | إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّه ُُ بِقَلْب ٍ سَلِيم ٍ |
| 'Idh Qāla Li'abīhi Wa Qawmihi Mādhā Ta`budūna | 037.085 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship ? | إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيه ِِ وَقَوْمِه ِِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ |
| 'A'ifkāan 'Ālihatan Dūna Allāhi Turīdūna | 037.086 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire ? | أَئِفْكا ً آلِهَة ً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ |
| Famā Žannukum Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna | 037.087 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds ? | فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Fanažara Nažratan Fī An-Nujūmi | 037.088 And he glanced a glance at the stars | فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَة ً فِي النُّجُومِ |
| Faqāla 'Innī Saqīmun | 037.089 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! | فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيم ٌ |
| Fatawallaw `Anhu Mudbirīna | 037.090 And they turned their backs and went away from him. | فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ |
| Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ālihatihim Faqāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna | 037.091 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat ? | فَرَاغَ إِلَى آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلاَ تَأْكُلُونَ |
| Mā Lakum Lā Tanţiqūna | 037.092 What aileth you that ye speak not ? | مَا لَكُمْ لاَ تَنطِقُونَ |
| Farāgha `Alayhim Đarbāan Bil-Yamīni | 037.093 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. | فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبا ً بِالْيَمِينِ |
| Fa'aqbalū 'Ilayhi Yaziffūna | 037.094 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. | فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ |
| Qāla 'Ata`budūna Mā Tanĥitūna | 037.095 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve | قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ |
| Wa Allāhu Khalaqakum Wa Mā Ta`malūna | 037.096 When Allah hath created you and what ye make ? | وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Qālū Abnū Lahu Bunyānāan Fa'alqūhu Fī Al-Jaĥīmi | 037.097 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. | قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَه ُُ بُنْيَانا ً فَأَلْقُوه ُُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ |
| Fa'arādū Bihi Kaydāan Faja`alnāhumu Al-'Asfalīna | 037.098 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. | فَأَرَادُوا بِه ِِ كَيْدا ً فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الأَسْفَلِينَ |
| Wa Qāla 'Innī Dhāhibun 'Ilá Rabbī Sayahdīni | 037.099 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. | وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِب ٌ إِلَى رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ |
| Rabbi Hab Lī Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | 037.100 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. | رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Fabashsharnāhu Bighulāmin Ĥalīmin | 037.101 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. | فَبَشَّرْنَاه ُُ بِغُلاَمٍ حَلِيم ٍ |
| Falammā Balagha Ma`ahu As-Sa`ya Qāla Yā Bunayya 'Innī 'Ará Fī Al-Manāmi 'Annī 'Adhbaĥuka Fānžur Mādhā Tará Qāla Yā 'Abati Af`al Mā Tu'umaru Satajidunī 'In Shā'a Allāhu Mina Aş-Şābirīna | 037.102 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou ? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. | فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَابُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ |
| Falammā 'Aslamā Wa Tallahu Liljabīni | 037.103 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, | فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّه ُُ لِلْجَبِينِ |
| Wa Nādaynāhu 'An Yā 'Ibrāhīmu | 037.104 We called unto him: O Abraham! | وَنَادَيْنَاهُ~ُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ |
| Qad Şaddaqta Ar-Ru'uyā 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna | 037.105 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. | قَد صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| 'Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Balā'u Al-Mubīnu | 037.106 Lo! that verily was a clear test. | إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلاَءُ الْمُبِينُ |
| Wa Fadaynāhu Bidhibĥin `Ažīmin | 037.107 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. | وَفَدَيْنَاه ُُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
| Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-'Ākhirīna | 037.108 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ |
| Salāmun `Alá 'Ibrāhīma | 037.109 Peace be unto Abraham! | سَلاَمٌ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ |
| Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna | 037.110 Thus do We reward the good. | كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| 'Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu'uminīna | 037.111 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. | إِنَّه ُُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Bashsharnāhu Bi'isĥāqa Nabīyāan Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | 037.112 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. | وَبَشَّرْنَاه ُُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيّا ً مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Wa Bāraknā `Alayhi Wa `Alá 'Isĥāqa Wa Min Dhurrīyatihimā Muĥsinun Wa Žālimun Linafsihi Mubīnun | 037.113 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. | وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى إِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِن ٌ وَظَالِم ٌ لِنَفْسِه ِِ مُبِين ٌ |
| Wa Laqad Manannā `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna | 037.114 And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, | وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ |
| Wa Najjaynāhumā Wa Qawmahumā Mina Al-Karbi Al-`Ažīmi | 037.115 And saved them and their people from the great distress, | وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ |
| Wa Naşarnāhum Fakānū Humu Al-Ghālibīna | 037.116 And helped them so that they became the victors. | وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ |
| Wa 'Ātaynāhumā Al-Kitāba Al-Mustabīna | 037.117 And We gave them the clear Scripture | وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ |
| Wa Hadaynāhumā Aş-Şirāţa Al-Mustaqīma | 037.118 And showed them the right path. | وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ |
| Wa Taraknā `Alayhimā Fī Al-'Ākhirīna | 037.119 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الآخِرِينَ |
| Salāmun `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna | 037.120 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! | سَلاَمٌ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna | 037.121 Lo! thus do We reward the good. | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| 'Innahumā Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu'uminīna | 037.122 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. | إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa 'Inna 'Ilyāsa Lamina Al-Mursalīna | 037.123 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), | وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
| 'Idh Qāla Liqawmihi 'Alā Tattaqūna | 037.124 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil) ? | إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ~ِ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ |
| 'Atad`ūna Ba`lāan Wa Tadharūna 'Aĥsana Al-Khāliqīna | 037.125 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, | أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلا ً وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ |
| Allāha Rabbakum Wa Rabba 'Ābā'ikumu Al-'Awwalīna | 037.126 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers ? | اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'innahum Lamuĥđarūna | 037.127 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) | فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ |
| 'Illā `Ibāda Allāhi Al-Mukhlaşīna | 037.128 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. | إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ |
| Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-'Ākhirīna | 037.129 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ |
| Salāmun `Alá 'Il Yā -Sīn | 037.130 Peace be unto Elias! | سَلاَمٌ عَلَى إِلْ يَا-سِين |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna | 037.131 Lo! thus do We reward the good. | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| 'Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu'uminīna | 037.132 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. | إِنَّه ُُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa 'Inna Lūţāan Lamina Al-Mursalīna | 037.133 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). | وَإِنَّ لُوطا ً لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ |
| 'Idh Najjaynāhu Wa 'Ahlahu 'Ajma`īna | 037.134 When We saved him and his household, every one, | إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاه ُُ وَأَهْلَهُ~ُ أَجْمَعِينَ |
| 'Illā `Ajūzāan Fī Al-Ghābirīna | 037.135 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; | إِلاَّ عَجُوزا ً فِي الْغَابِرِينَ |
| Thumma Dammarnā Al-'Ākharīna | 037.136 Then We destroyed the others. | ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الآخَرِينَ |
