'Alam Nashraĥ Laka Şadraka  | Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))? (Ash-Sharh 94:1) | أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ |
Wa Wađa`nā `Anka Wizraka  | And removed from you your burden, (Ash-Sharh 94:2) | وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ |
Al-Ladhī 'Anqađa Žahraka  | Which weighed down your back? (Ash-Sharh 94:3) | الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ |
Wa Rafa`nā Laka Dhikraka  | And raised high your fame? (Ash-Sharh 94:4) | وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ |
Fa'inna Ma`a Al-`Usri Yusrāan  | So verily, with the hardship, there is relief, (Ash-Sharh 94:5) | فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرا ً |
'Inna Ma`a Al-`Usri Yusrāan  | Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). (Ash-Sharh 94:6) | إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرا ً |
Fa'idhā Faraghta Fānşab  | So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allāh's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). (Ash-Sharh 94:7) | فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ |
Wa 'Ilá Rabbika Fārghab  | And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. (Ash-Sharh 94:8) | وَإِلَى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ |
