Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Al-Ghāshiyahi  | Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); (Al-Ghashiyah 88:1) | هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ |
Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Khāshi`ahun  | Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). (Al-Ghashiyah 88:2) | وُجُوه ٌ ٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَة ٌ |
`Āmilatun Nāşibahun  | Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allāh), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). (Al-Ghashiyah 88:3) | عَامِلَة ٌ نَاصِبَة ٌ |
Taşlá Nārāan Ĥāmiyahan  | They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:4) | تَصْلَى نَاراً حَامِيَة ً |
Tusqá Min `Aynin 'Āniyahin  | They will be given to drink from a boiling spring, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:5) | تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْن ٍ آنِيَة ٍ |
Laysa Lahum Ţa`āmun 'Illā Min Đarī`in  | No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:6) | لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَام ٌ إِلاَّ مِنْ ضَرِيع ٍ |
Lā Yusminu Wa Lā Yughnī Min Jū`in  | Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:7) | لاَ يُسْمِنُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوع ٍ |
Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Nā`imahun  | (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:8) | وُجُوه ٌ ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ نَاعِمَة ٌ |
Lisa`yihā Rāđiyahun  | Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islāmic Monotheism). (Al-Ghashiyah 88:9) | لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَة ٌ |
Fī Jannatin `Āliyahin  | In a lofty Paradise. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:10) | فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَة ٍ |
Lā Tasma`u Fīhā Lāghiyahan  | Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:11) | لاَ تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لاَغِيَة ً |
Fīhā `Aynun Jāriyahun  | Therein will be a running spring, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:12) | فِيهَا عَيْن ٌ جَارِيَة ٌ |
Fīhā Sururun Marfū`ahun  | Therein will be thrones raised high, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:13) | فِيهَا سُرُر ٌ مَرْفُوعَة ٌ |
Wa 'Akwābun Mawđū`ahun  | And cups set at hand. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:14) | وَأَكْوَاب ٌ مَوْضُوعَة ٌ |
Wa Namāriqu Maşfūfahun  | And cushions set in rows, (Al-Ghashiyah 88:15) | وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَة ٌ |
Wa Zarābīyu Mabthūthahun  | And rich carpets (all) spread out. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:16) | وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَة ٌ |
'Afalā Yanžurūna 'Ilá Al-'Ibili Kayfa Khuliqat  | Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:17) | أَفَلاَ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ |
Wa 'Ilá As-Samā'i Kayfa Rufi`at  | And at the heaven, how it is raised? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:18) | وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ |
Wa 'Ilá Al-Jibāli Kayfa Nuşibat  | And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:19) | وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ |
Wa 'Ilá Al-'Arđi Kayfa Suţiĥat  | And at the earth, how it is spread out? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:20) | وَإِلَى الأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ |
Fadhakkir 'Innamā 'Anta Mudhakkirun  | So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:21) | فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّر ٌ |
Lasta `Alayhim Bimusayţirin  | You are not a dictator over them. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:22) | لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُسَيْطِر ٍ |
'Illā Man Tawallá Wa Kafara  | Save the one who turns away and disbelieves (Al-Ghashiyah 88:23) | إِلاَّ مَنْ تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَ |
Fayu`adhdhibuhu Allāhu Al-`Adhāba Al-'Akbara  | Then Allāh will punish him with the greatest punishment. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:24) | فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الأَكْبَرَ |
'Inna 'Ilaynā 'Īābahum  | Verily, to Us will be their return; (Al-Ghashiyah 88:25) | إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ |
Thumma 'Inna `Alaynā Ĥisābahum  | Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. (Al-Ghashiyah 88:26) | ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ |
