77) Sūratālmursalāt

| Wa Al-Mursalāti `Urfāan | By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allāh) sent forth one after another. (Al-Mursalat 77:1) | وَالْمُرْسَلاَتِ عُرْفا ً |
| Fāl`āşifāti `Aşfāan | And by the winds that blow violently, (Al-Mursalat 77:2) | فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفا ً |
| Wa An-Nāshirāti Nashrāan | And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; (Al-Mursalat 77:3) | وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرا ً |
| Fālfāriqāti Farqāan | And by the Verses (of the Qur'ān) that separate the right from the wrong. (Al-Mursalat 77:4) | فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقا ً |
| Fālmulqiyāti Dhikrāan | And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, (Al-Mursalat 77:5) | فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرا ً |
| `Udhrāan 'Aw Nudhrāan | To cut off all excuses or to warn; (Al-Mursalat 77:6) | عُذْراً أَوْ نُذْرا ً |
| 'Innamā Tū`adūna Lawāqi`un | Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. (Al-Mursalat 77:7) | إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِع ٌ |
| Fa'idhā An-Nujūmu Ţumisat | Then when the stars lose their lights; (Al-Mursalat 77:8) | فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā As-Samā'u Furijat | And when the heaven is cleft asunder; (Al-Mursalat 77:9) | وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā Al-Jibālu Nusifat | And when the mountains are blown away; (Al-Mursalat 77:10) | وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ |
| Wa 'Idhā Ar-Rusulu 'Uqqitat | And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; (Al-Mursalat 77:11) | وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ |
| L'ayyi Yawmin 'Ujjilat | For what Day are these signs postponed? (Al-Mursalat 77:12) | لأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ |
| Liyawmi Al-Faşli | For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). (Al-Mursalat 77:13) | لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Yawmu Al-Faşli | And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? (Al-Mursalat 77:14) | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:15) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Nuhliki Al-'Awwalīna | Did We not destroy the ancients? (Al-Mursalat 77:16) | أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الأَوَّلِينَ |
| Thumma Nutbi`uhumu Al-'Ākhirīna | So shall We make later generations to follow them. (Al-Mursalat 77:17) | ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الآخِرِينَ |
| Kadhālika Naf`alu Bil-Mujrimīna | Thus do We deal with the Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! (Al-Mursalat 77:18) | كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:19) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Nakhluqkum Min Mā'in Mahīnin | Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? (Al-Mursalat 77:20) | أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاء ٍ مَهِين ٍ |
| Faja`alnāhu Fī Qarārin Makīnin | Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), (Al-Mursalat 77:21) | فَجَعَلْنَاه ُُ فِي قَرَار ٍ مَكِين ٍ |
| 'Ilá Qadarin Ma`lūmin | For a known period (determined by gestation)? (Al-Mursalat 77:22) | إِلَى قَدَر ٍ مَعْلُوم ٍ |
| Faqadarnā Fani`ma Al-Qādirūna | So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). (Al-Mursalat 77:23) | فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:24) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Alam Naj`ali Al-'Arđa Kifātāan | Have We not made the earth a receptacle? (Al-Mursalat 77:25) | أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الأَرْضَ كِفَاتا ً |
| 'Aĥyā'an Wa 'Amwātāan | For the living and the dead. (Al-Mursalat 77:26) | أَحْيَاء ً وَأَمْوَاتا ً |
| Wa Ja`alnā Fīhā Rawāsiya Shāmikhātin Wa 'Asqaynākum Mā'an Furātāan | And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? (Al-Mursalat 77:27) | وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَات ٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاء ً فُرَاتا ً |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:28) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Anţaliqū 'Ilá Mā Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna | (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! (Al-Mursalat 77:29) | انطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ |
| Anţaliqū 'Ilá Žillin Dhī Thalāthi Shu`abin | "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, (Al-Mursalat 77:30) | انطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلّ ٍ ذِي ثَلاَثِ شُعَب ٍ |
| Lā Žalīlin Wa Lā Yughnī Mina Al-Lahabi | "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." (Al-Mursalat 77:31) | لاَ ظَلِيل ٍ وَلاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ |
| 'Innahā Tarmī Bishararin Kālqaşri | Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], (Al-Mursalat 77:32) | إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَر ٍ كَالْقَصْرِ |
| Ka'annahu Jimālatun Şufrun | As if they were Jimālatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." (Al-Mursalat 77:33) | كَأَنَّه ُُ جِمَالَة ٌ صُفْر ٌ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:34) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Hādhā Yawmu Lā Yanţiqūna | That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), (Al-Mursalat 77:35) | هَذَا يَوْمُ لاَ يَنطِقُونَ |
| Wa Lā Yu'udhanu Lahum Faya`tadhirūna | And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. (Al-Mursalat 77:36) | وَلاَ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:37) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Hādhā Yawmu Al-Faşli Jama`nākum Wa Al-'Awwalīna | That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! (Al-Mursalat 77:38) | هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالأَوَّلِينَ |
| Fa'in Kāna Lakum Kaydun Fakīdūni | So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allāh)! (Al-Mursalat 77:39) | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْد ٌ فَكِيدُونِ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:40) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| 'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Žilālin Wa `Uyūnin | Verily, the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2) shall be amidst shades and springs. (Al-Mursalat 77:41) | إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلاَل ٍ وَعُيُون ٍ |
| Wa Fawākiha Mimmā Yashtahūna | And fruits, such as they desire. (Al-Mursalat 77:42) | وَفَوَاكِه ََ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ |
| Kulū Wa Ashrabū Hanī'āan Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna | "Eat and drink comfortably for that which you used to do. (Al-Mursalat 77:43) | كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئا ً بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Innā Kadhālika Najzī Al-Muĥsinyna | Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinûn (good-doers). (Al-Mursalat 77:44) | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنينَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:45) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Kulū Wa Tamatta`ū Qalīlāan 'Innakum Mujrimūna | (O you disbelievers)! Eat and enjoy yourselves (in this worldly life) for a little while. Verily, you are the Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.). (Al-Mursalat 77:46) | كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلا ً إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:47) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Qīla Lahumu Arka`ū Lā Yarka`ūna | And when it is said to them: "Bow down yourself (in prayer)!" They bow not down (offer not their prayers). (Al-Mursalat 77:48) | وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لاَ يَرْكَعُونَ |
| Waylun Yawma'idhin Lilmukadhdhibīna | Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! (Al-Mursalat 77:49) | وَيْل ٌ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`dahu Yu'uminūna | Then in what statement after this (the Qur'ān) will they believe? (Al-Mursalat 77:50) | فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيث ٍ بَعْدَه ُُ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
