Hal 'Atá `Alá A l-'In sā ni Ĥī nun Mina A d-Dahr i Lam Yakun Sh ay'ā an Madh kūrā an
Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned? (Al-Insan 76:1)
هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى ا لإِن سَا نِ حِي نٌ مِنَ ا ل دَّهْر ِ لَمْ يَكُن ْ شَيْ ئا ً مَذْكُوراً
'Inn ā Kh alaq nā A l-'In sā na Min Nuţ fatin 'Am sh ā jin Nab talī hi Faja`alnā hu Samī`āan Baş īr āan
Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer. (Al-Insan 76:2)
إِنَّ ا خَ لَقْ نَا ا لإِن سَا نَ مِن ْ نُطْ فَةٍ أَمْشَا جٍ نَبْ تَلِي هِ فَجَعَلْنَا هُ سَمِيعا ً بَصِ ير اً
'Inn ā Hadaynā hu A s-Sabī la 'Imm ā Sh ākir āan Wa 'Imm ā Kafūrā an
Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. (Al-Insan 76:3)
إِنَّ ا هَدَيْنَا هُ ا ل سَّبِي لَ إِمَّ ا شَاكِر ا ً وَإِمَّ ا كَفُوراً
'Inn ā 'A`tad nā Lilkāfir ī na Salāsilāan Wa 'Agh lālāan Wa Sa`īr āan
Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire. (Al-Insan 76:4)
إِنَّ ا أَعْتَد ْنَا لِلْكَافِر ِي نَ سَلاَسِلا ً وَأَغْ لاَلا ً وَسَعِير اً
'Inn a A l-'Ab r ā ra Yash ra bū na Min Ka'sin Kā na Mizājuhā Kāfūrā an
Verily, the Abrār (pious, who fear Allāh and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kāfûr. (Al-Insan 76:5)
إِنّ َ ا لأَبْ رَ ا رَ يَشْرَ بُو نَ مِن ْ كَأْسٍ كَا نَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُوراً
`Aynāan Yash ra bu Bihā `Ibā du A ll āhi Yufajjirūnahā Tafjīr āan
A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allāh will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. (Al-Insan 76:6)
عَيْنا ً يَشْرَ بُ بِهَا عِبَا دُ ا للَّ هِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِير اً
Yūfū na Bin -Nadh r i Wa Yakh āfū na Yawmāan Kā na Sh arru hu Mustaţ īr āan
They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading. (Al-Insan 76:7)
يُوفُو نَ بِا ل نَّ ذْر ِ وَيَخَ افُو نَ يَوْما ً كَا نَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِ ير اً
Wa Yuţ `imū na A ţ -Ţ a`ā ma `Alá Ĥubbihi Miskīnāan Wa Yatīmāan Wa 'Asīr āan
And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive, (Al-Insan 76:8)
وَيُطْ عِمُو نَ ا ل طَّ عَا مَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينا ً وَيَتِيما ً وَأَسِير اً
'Inn amā Nuţ `imukum Liwaj hi A ll ā hi Lā Nur ī du Min kum Jazā 'an Wa Lā Sh ukūrā an
(Saying): "We feed you seeking Allāh's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you. (Al-Insan 76:9)
إِنَّ مَا نُطْ عِمُكُمْ لِوَجْ هِ ا للَّ هِ لاَ نُر ِي دُ مِنْ كُمْ جَزَا ء ً وَلاَ شُكُوراً
'Inn ā Nakh ā fu Min Ra bbinā Yawmāan `Abūsāan Q am ţ ar īr āan
"Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it)." (Al-Insan 76:10)
إِنَّ ا نَخَ ا فُ مِن ْ رَ بِّنَا يَوْماً عَبُوسا ً قَ مْطَ ر ِير اً
Fawaq āhumu A ll āhu Sh arra Dh ālika A l-Yaw mi Wa Laq q āhum Nađra tan Wa Surūrā an
So Allāh saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them Nadratan (a light of beauty) and joy. (Al-Insan 76:11)
فَوَقَ اهُمُ ا للَّ هُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ ا لْيَوْ مِ وَلَقَّ اهُمْ نَضْ رَ ة ً وَسُرُوراً
Wa Jazāhum Bimā Ş abarū Jann atan Wa Ĥar īr āan
And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient. (Al-Insan 76:12)
وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَ بَرُوا جَنَّ ة ً وَحَر ِير اً
Muttaki'ī na Fīhā `Alá A l-'Arā 'iki ۖ Lā Yara w na Fīhā Sh am sāan Wa Lā Zam har īr āan
Reclining therein on raised thrones, they will see there neither the excessive heat of the sun, nor the excessive bitter cold, (as in Paradise there is no sun and no moon). (Al-Insan 76:13)
مُتَّكِئِي نَ فِيهَا عَلَى ا لأَرَا ئِكِ ۖ لاَ يَرَ وْ نَ فِيهَا شَمْسا ً وَلاَ زَمْهَر ِير اً
Wa Dāniyatan `Alayhim Ž ilāluhā Wa Dh ullilat Q uţ ūfuhā Tadh līlāan
And the shade thereof is close upon them, and the bunches of fruit thereof will hang low within their reach. (Al-Insan 76:14)
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِ لاَلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُ طُ وفُهَا تَذْلِيلاً
Wa Yuţ ā fu `Alayhim Bi'āniyatin Min Fiđđatin Wa 'Akwā bin Kānat Q awār ī r a
And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and cups of crystal, (Al-Insan 76:15)
وَيُطَ ا فُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَةٍ مِن ْ فِضَّ ةٍ وَأَكْوَا بٍ كَانَتْ قَ وَار ِيرَ
Q awār ī r a Min Fiđđatin Q addarūhā Taq dīr āan
Crystal-clear, made of silver. They will determine the measure thereof according to their wishes. (Al-Insan 76:16)
قَ وَار ِي رَ مِن ْ فِضَّ ةٍ قَ دَّرُوهَا تَقْ دِير اً
Wa Yusq aw na Fīhā Ka'sāan Kā na Mizājuhā Zan jabīlāan
And they will be given to drink there a cup (of wine) mixed with Zanjabīl (ginger, etc.), (Al-Insan 76:17)
وَيُسْقَ وْ نَ فِيهَا كَأْسا ً كَا نَ مِزَاجُهَا زَن جَبِيلاً
`Aynāan Fīhā Tusamm á Salsabīlāan
A spring there, called Salsabīl. (Al-Insan 76:18)
عَيْنا ً فِيهَا تُسَمَّ ى سَلْسَبِيلاً
Wa Yaţ ū fu `Alayhim Wildā nun Mukh alladū na 'Idh ā Ra 'aytahum Ĥasib tahum Lu'ulu'uāan Man th ūrā an
And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. (Al-Insan 76:19)
وَيَطُ و فُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَا نٌ مُخَ لَّدُو نَ إِذَا رَ أَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْ تَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤا ً مَن ثُوراً
Wa 'Idh ā Ra 'ay ta Th amm a Ra 'ay ta Na`īmāan Wa Mulkāan Kabīr āan
And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion. (Al-Insan 76:20)
وَإِذَا رَ أَيْ تَ ثَمّ َ رَ أَيْ تَ نَعِيما ً وَمُلْكا ً كَبِير اً
`Āliyahum Th iyā bu Sun dusin Kh uđru n Wa 'Istab ra q un ۖ Wa Ĥullū 'Asāwir a Min Fiđđatin Wa Saq āhum Ra bbuhum Sh arā bāan Ţ ahūrā an
Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink. (Al-Insan 76:21)
عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَا بُ سُن دُسٍ خُ ضْ رٌ وَإِسْتَبْ رَ ق ٌ ۖ وَحُلُّو ا أَسَاوِر َ مِن ْ فِضَّ ةٍ وَسَقَ اهُمْ رَ بُّهُمْ شَرَ ابا ً طَ هُوراً
'Inn a Hādh ā Kā na Lakum Jazā 'an Wa Kā na Sa`yukum Mash kūrā an
(And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted." (Al-Insan 76:22)
إِنّ َ هَذَا كَا نَ لَكُمْ جَزَا ء ً وَكَا نَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَشْكُوراً
'Inn ā Naĥnu Nazzalnā `Alay ka A l-Q ur'ā na Tan zīlāan
Verily! It is We Who have sent down the Qur'ān to you (O Muhammad SAW) by stages. (Al-Insan 76:23)
إِنَّ ا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْ كَ ا لْقُ رْآنَ تَنْ زِيلاً
Fāş bir Liĥukmi Ra bbika Wa Lā Tuţ i` Minhum 'Āth imāan 'Aw Kafūrā an
Therefore be patient (O Muhammad SAW) and submit to the Command of your Lord (Allāh, by doing your duty to Him and by conveying His Message to mankind), and obey neither a sinner nor a disbeliever among them. (Al-Insan 76:24)
فَاصْ بِر ْ لِحُكْمِ رَ بِّكَ وَلاَ تُطِ عْ مِنْ هُمْ آثِماً أَوْ كَفُوراً
Wa A dh kur A sma Ra bbika Bukra tan Wa 'Aş īlāan
And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. (Al-Insan 76:25)
وَاذْكُرْ ا سْمَ رَ بِّكَ بُكْرَ ة ً وَأَصِ يلاً
Wa Mina A l-Lay li Fāsjud Lahu Wa Sabbiĥhu Laylāan Ţ awīlāan
And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Ishā' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer). (Al-Insan 76:26)
وَمِنَ ا ل لَّيْ لِ فَاسْجُد ْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلا ً طَ وِيلاً
'Inn a Hā 'uulā ' Yuĥibbū na A l-`Ājilata Wa Yadh arū na Warā 'ahum Yawmāan Th aq īlāan
Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard). (Al-Insan 76:27)
إِنّ َ هَا ؤُلاَء يُحِبُّو نَ ا لْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُو نَ وَرَا ءَهُمْ يَوْما ً ثَقِ يلاً
Naĥnu Kh alaq nāhum Wa Sh adad nā 'Asra hum ۖ Wa 'Idh ā Sh i'nā Baddalnā 'Am th ālahum Tab dīlāan
It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement. (Al-Insan 76:28)
نَحْنُ خَ لَقْ نَاهُمْ وَشَدَد ْنَا أَسْرَ هُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْ دِيلاً
'Inn a Hadh ihi Tadh kira tun ۖ Faman Sh ā 'a A ttakh adh a 'Ilá Ra bbihi Sabīlāan
Verily! This (Verses of the Qur'ān) is an admonition, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord (Allāh). (Al-Insan 76:29)
إِنّ َ هَذِهِ تَذْكِرَ ةٌ ۖ فَمَن ْ شَا ءَ ا تَّخَ ذَ إِلَى رَ بِّهِ سَبِيلاً
Wa Mā Tash ā 'ū na 'Illā 'An Yash ā 'a A ll āhu ۚ 'Inn a A ll āha Kā na `Alīmāan Ĥakīmāan
But you cannot will, unless Allāh wills. Verily, Allāh is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Al-Insan 76:30)
وَمَا تَشَا ءُو نَ إِلاَّ أَن ْ يَشَا ءَ ا للَّ هُ ۚ إِنّ َ ا للَّ هَ كَا نَ عَلِيماً حَكِيماً
Yud kh ilu Man Yash ā 'u Fī Ra ĥmatihi ۚ Wa A ž-Ž ālimī na 'A`adda Lahum `Adh ābāan 'Alīmāan
He will admit to His Mercy whom He will and as for the Zālimûn, (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) He has prepared a painful torment. (Al-Insan 76:31)
يُد ْخِ لُ مَن ْ يَشَا ءُ فِي رَ حْمَتِهِ ۚ وَا ل ظَّ الِمِي نَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً
