And those moving gently.

فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْراً |
| Fālmuqassimāti 'Amrāan (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 4).
|
And those distributing as commanded.

فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْراً |
| 'Innamā Tū`adūna Laşādiqun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 5).
|
What you are promised is true.

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ |
| Wa 'Inna Ad-Dīna Lawāqi`un (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 6).
|
Judgment will take place.
051006 |
وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
| Wa As-Samā'i Dhāti Al-Ĥubuki (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 7).
|
By the sky that is woven.
051007 |
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ |
| 'Innakum Lafī Qawlin Mukhtalifin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 8).
|
You differ in what you say.
051008 |
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ |
| Yu'ufaku `Anhu Man 'Ufika (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 9).
|
Averted from it is he who is averted.
051009 |
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ |
| Qutila Al-Kharrāşūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 10).
|
Perish the imposters.
051010 |
قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Ghamratin Sāhūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 11).
|
Those who are dazed in ignorance.
051011 |
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ |
| Yas'alūna 'Ayyāna Yawmu Ad-Dīni (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 12).
|
They ask, "When is the Day of Judgment?"
051012 |
يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
| Yawma Hum `Alá An-Nāri Yuftanūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 13).
|
The Day they are presented to the Fire.
051013 |
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ |
| Dhūqū Fitnatakum Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 14).
|
"Taste your ordeal. This is what you used to challenge."

ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 15).
|
But the pious are amidst gardens and springs.
051015 |
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
| 'Ākhidhīna Mā 'Ātāhum Rabbuhum ۚ 'Innahum Kānū Qabla Dhālika Muĥsinīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 16).
|
Receiving what their Lord has given them. They were virtuous before that.

آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ |
| Kānū Qalīlāan Mina Al-Layli Mā Yahja`ūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 17).
|
They used to sleep a little at night.
051017 |
كَانُوا قَلِيلاً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ |
| Wa Bil-'Asĥāri Hum Yastaghfirūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 18).
|
And at dawn, they would pray for pardon.
051018 |
وَبِالأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
| Wa Fī 'Amwālihim Ĥaqqun Lilssā'ili Wa Al-Maĥrūmi (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 19).
|
And in their wealth, there was a share for the beggar and the deprived.
051019 |
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقّ ٌ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ |
| Wa Fī Al-'Arđi 'Āyātun Lilmūqinīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 20).
|
And on earth are signs for the convinced.
051020 |
وَفِي الأَرْضِ آيَات ٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ |
| Wa Fī 'Anfusikum ۚ 'Afalā Tubşirūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 21).
|
And within yourselves. Do you not see?
051021 |
وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلاَ تُبْصِرُونَ |
| Wa Fī As-Samā'i Rizqukum Wa Mā Tū`adūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 22).
|
And in the heaven is your livelihood, and what you are promised.
051022 |
وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ |
| Fawarabbi As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi 'Innahu Laĥaqqun Mithla Mā 'Annakum Tanţiqūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 23).
|
By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is as true as the fact that you speak.
051023 |
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ |
| Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Đayfi 'Ibrāhīma Al-Mukramīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 24).
|
Has the story of Abraham's honorable guests reached you?
051024 |
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ |
| 'Idh Dakhalū `Alayhi Faqālū Salāmāan ۖ Qāla Salāmun Qawmun Munkarūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 25).
|
When they entered upon him, they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace, strangers."
051025 |
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلاَماً ۖ قَالَ سَلاَمٌ قَوْمٌ مُنكَرُونَ |
| Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Fajā'a Bi`ijlin Samīnin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 26).
|
Then he slipped away to his family, and brought a fatted calf.
051026 |
فَرَاغَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ |
| Faqarrabahu 'Ilayhim Qāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 27).
|
He set it before them. He said, "Will you not eat?"
051027 |
فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلاَ تَأْكُلُونَ |
| Fa'awjasa Minhum Khīfatan ۖ Qālū Lā Takhaf ۖ Wa Bashsharūhu Bighulāmin `Alīmin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 28).
|
And he harbored fear of them. They said, "Do not fear," and they announced to him the good news of a knowledgeable boy.
051028 |
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لاَ تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلاَمٍ عَلِيمٍ |
| Fa'aqbalati Amra'atuhu Fī Şarratin Faşakkat Wajhahā Wa Qālat `Ajūzun `Aqīmun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 29).
|
His wife came forward crying. She clasped her face, and said, "A barren old woman?"
051029 |
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ |
| Qālū Kadhāliki Qāla Rabbuki ۖ 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-`Alīmu (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 30).
|
They said, "Thus spoke your Lord. He is the Wise, the Knowing."
051030 |
قَالُوا كَذَلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| Qāla Famā Khaţbukum 'Ayyuhā Al-Mursalūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 31).
|
He said, "What is your business, O envoys?"
051031 |
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ |
| Qālū 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmin Mujrimīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 32).
|
They said, "We are sent to a people guilty of sin."
051032 |
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ |
| Linursila `Alayhim Ĥijāratan Min Ţīnin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 33).
|
"To unleash upon them rocks of clay."
051033 |
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ |
| Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika Lilmusrifīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 34).
|
"Marked by your Lord for the excessive."
051034 |
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ |
| Fa'akhrajnā Man Kāna Fīhā Mina Al-Mu'uminīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 35).
|
We evacuated all the believers who were in it.
051035 |
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Famā Wajadnā Fīhā Ghayra Baytin Mina Al-Muslimīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 36).
|
But found in it only one household of Muslims.
051036 |
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
| Wa Taraknā Fīhā 'Āyatan Lilladhīna Yakhāfūna Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 37).
|
And We left in it a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
051037 |
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَة ً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ |
| Wa Fī Mūsá 'Idh 'Arsalnāhu 'Ilá Fir`awna Bisulţānin Mubīnin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 38).
|
And in Moses. We sent him to Pharaoh with a clear authority.
051038 |
وَفِي مُوسَى إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ |
| Fatawallá Biruknihi Wa Qāla Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 39).
|
But he turned away with his warlords, and said, "A sorcerer or a madman."
051039 |
فَتَوَلَّى بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
| Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Wa Huwa Mulīmun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 40).
|
So We seized him and his troops, and threw them into the sea, and He was to blame.
051040 |
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ |
| Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 41).
|
And in Aad. We unleashed against them the devastating wind.
051041 |
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ |
| Mā Tadharu Min Shay'in 'Atat `Alayhi 'Illā Ja`alat/hu Kālrramīmi (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 42).
|
It spared nothing it came upon, but rendered it like decayed ruins.
051042 |
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ |
| Wa Fī Thamūda 'Idh Qīla Lahum Tamatta`ū Ĥattá Ĥīnin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 43).
|
And in Thamood. They were told, "Enjoy yourselves for a while."
051043 |
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّى حِينٍ |
| Fa`atawā `An 'Amri Rabbihim Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şā`iqatu Wa Hum Yanžurūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 44).
|
But they defied the command of their Lord, so the lightning struck them as they looked on.
051044 |
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Famā Astaţā`ū Min Qiyāmin Wa Mā Kānū Muntaşirīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 45).
|
They could not rise up, nor could they find help.
051045 |
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ |
| Wa Qawma Nūĥin Min Qablu ۖ 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 46).
|
And before that, the people of Noah. They were immoral people.
051046 |
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً فَاسِقِينَ |
| Wa As-Samā'a Banaynāhā Bi'ayydin Wa 'Innā Lamūsi`ūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 47).
|
We constructed the universe with power, and We are expanding it.
051047 |
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْيدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ |
| Wa Al-'Arđa Farashnāhā Fani`ma Al-Māhidūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 48).
|
And the earth"”We spread it out"”How well We prepared it!
051048 |
وَالأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ |
| Wa Min Kulli Shay'in Khalaqnā Zawjayni La`allakum Tadhakkarūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 49).
|
We created all things in pairs, so that you may reflect and ponder.
051049 |
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Fafirrū 'Ilá Allāhi ۖ 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 50).
|
"So flee towards God. I am to you from Him a clear warner."
051050 |
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ |
| Wa Lā Taj`alū Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara ۖ 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 51).
|
"And do not set up any other god with God. I am to you from Him a clear warner."
051051 |
وَلاَ تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ |
| Kadhālika Mā 'Atá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Min Rasūlin 'Illā Qālū Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 52).
|
Likewise, no messenger came to those before them, but they said, "A sorcerer or a madman."
051052 |
كَذَلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلاَّ قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ |
| 'Atawāşawā Bihi ۚ Bal Hum Qawmun Ţāghūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 53).
|
Did they recommend it to one another? In fact, they are rebellious people.
051053 |
أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ |
| Fatawalla `Anhum Famā 'Anta Bimalūmin (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 54).
|
So turn away from them; you are not to blame.
051054 |
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ |
| Wa Dhakkir Fa'inna Adh-Dhikrá Tanfa`u Al-Mu'uminīna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 55).
|
And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers.
051055 |
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Mā Khalaqtu Al-Jinna Wa Al-'Insa 'Illā Liya`budūni (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 56).
|
I did not create the jinn and the humans except to worship Me.
051056 |
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ |
| Mā 'Urīdu Minhum Min Rizqin Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An Yuţ`imūni (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 57).
|
I need no livelihood from them, nor do I need them to feed Me.
051057 |
مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ |
| 'Inna Allāha Huwa Ar-Razzāqu Dhū Al-Qūwati Al-Matīnu (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 58).
|
God is the Provider, the One with Power, the Strong.
051058 |
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ |
| Fa'inna Lilladhīna Žalamū Dhanūbāan Mithla Dhanūbi 'Aşĥābihim Falā Yasta`jilūni (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 59).
|
Those who do wrong will have their turn, like the turn of their counterparts, so let them not rush Me.
051059 |
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوباً مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلاَ يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ |
| Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Min Yawmihimu Al-Ladhī Yū`adūna (Adh-Dhāriyāt: 60).
|
So woe to those who disbelieve because of that Day of theirs which they are promised.
051060 |
فَوَيْل ٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ |
