قَاف ۚ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ |
| Bal `Ajibū 'An Jā'ahum Mundhirun Minhum Faqāla Al-Kāfirūna Hādhā Shay'un `Ajībun (Qāf: 2).
|
They marveled that a warner has come to them from among them. The disbelievers say, "This is something strange.
050002 |
بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَنْ جَاءَهُمْ مُنْذِرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ |
| 'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan ۖ Dhālika Raj`un Ba`īdun (Qāf: 3).
|
When we have died and become dust? This is a farfetched return."
050003 |
أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَاباً ۖ ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ |
| Qad `Alimnā Mā Tanquşu Al-'Arđu Minhum ۖ Wa `Indanā Kitābun Ĥafīžun (Qāf: 4).
|
We know what the earth consumes of them, and with Us is a comprehensive book.
050004 |
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنْقُصُ الأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ |
| Bal Kadhdhabū Bil-Ĥaqqi Lammā Jā'ahum Fahum Fī 'Amrin Marījin (Qāf: 5).
|
But they denied the truth when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state.
050005 |
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَرِيجٍ |
| 'Afalam Yanžurū 'Ilá As-Samā'i Fawqahum Kayfa Banaynāhā Wa Zayyannāhā Wa Mā Lahā Min Furūjin (Qāf: 6).
|
Have they not observed the sky above them, how We constructed it, and decorated it, and it has no cracks?
050006 |
أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوجٍ |
| Wa Al-'Arđa Madadnāhā Wa 'Alqaynā Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Bahījin (Qāf: 7).
|
And the earth, how We spread it out, and set on it mountains, and grew in it all kinds of delightful pairs?

وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ |
| Tabşiratan Wa Dhikrá Likulli `Abdin Munībin (Qāf: 8).
|
A lesson and a reminder for every penitent worshiper.
050008 |
تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُنِيبٍ |
| Wa Nazzalnā Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Mubārakāan Fa'anbatnā Bihi Jannātin Wa Ĥabba Al-Ĥaşīdi (Qāf: 9).
|
And We brought down from the sky blessed water, and produced with it gardens and grain to harvest.
050009 |
وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً مُبَارَكاً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ |
| Wa An-Nakhla Bāsiqātin Lahā Ţal`un Nađīdun (Qāf: 10).
|
And the soaring palm trees, with clustered dates.
050010 |
وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَهَا طَلْعٌ نَضِيدٌ |
| Rizqāan Lil`ibādi ۖ Wa 'Aĥyaynā Bihi Baldatan Maytāan ۚ Kadhālika Al-Khurūju (Qāf: 11).
|
As sustenance for the servants. And We revive thereby a dead town. Likewise is the resurrection.
050011 |
رِزْقاً لِلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتاً ۚ كَذَلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ |
| Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa 'Aşĥābu Ar-Rassi Wa Thamūdu (Qāf: 12).
|
Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, and so did the dwellers of Russ, and Thamood.
050012 |
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ |
| Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Wa 'Ikhwānu Lūţin (Qāf: 13).
|
And Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot.
050013 |
وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ |
| Wa 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati Wa Qawmu Tubba`in ۚ Kullun Kadhdhaba Ar-Rusula Faĥaqqa Wa`īdi (Qāf: 14).
|
And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubba. They all rejected the messengers, so My threat came true.
050014 |
وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ ۚ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ |
| 'Afa`ayīnā Bil-Khalqi Al-'Awwali ۚ Bal Hum Fī Labsin Min Khalqin Jadīdin (Qāf: 15).
|
Were We fatigued by the first creation? But they are in doubt of a new creation.
050015 |
أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ |
| Wa Laqad Khalaqnā Al-'Insāna Wa Na`lamu Mā Tuwaswisu Bihi Nafsuhu ۖ Wa Naĥnu 'Aqrabu 'Ilayhi Min Ĥabli Al-Warīdi (Qāf: 16).
|
We created the human being, and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
050016 |
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ |
| 'Idh Yatalaqqá Al-Mutalaqqiyāni `Ani Al-Yamīni Wa `Ani Ash-Shimāli Qa`īdun (Qāf: 17).
|
As the two receivers receive, seated to the right and to the left.
050017 |
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ |
| Mā Yalfižu Min Qawlin 'Illā Ladayhi Raqībun `Atīdun (Qāf: 18).
|
Not a word does he utter, but there is a watcher by him, ready.
050018 |
مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ إِلاَّ لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ |
| Wa Jā'at Sakratu Al-Mawti Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Dhālika Mā Kunta Minhu Taĥīdu (Qāf: 19).
|
The daze of death has come in truth: "This is what you tried to evade."
050019 |
وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ |
| Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri ۚ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Wa`īdi (Qāf: 20).
|
And the Trumpet is blown: "This is the Promised Day."
050020 |
وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ |
| Wa Jā'at Kullu Nafsin Ma`ahā Sā'iqun Wa Shahīdun (Qāf: 21).
|
And every soul will come forward, accompanied by a driver and a witness.
050021 |
وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ |
| Laqad Kunta Fī Ghaflatin Min Hādhā Fakashafnā `Anka Ghiţā'aka Fabaşaruka Al-Yawma Ĥadīdun (Qāf: 22).
|
"You were in neglect of this, so We lifted your screen from you, and your vision today is keen."
050022 |
لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنْكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ |
| Wa Qāla Qarīnuhu Hādhā Mā Ladayya `Atīdun (Qāf: 23).
|
And His escort will say, "This is what I have ready with me."
050023 |
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ |
| 'Alqiyā Fī Jahannama Kulla Kaffārin `Anīdin (Qāf: 24).
|
"Throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever.
050024 |
أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ |
| Mannā`in Lilkhayri Mu`tadin Murībin (Qāf: 25).
|
Preventer of good, aggressor, doubter.
050025 |
مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُرِيبٍ |
| Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fa'alqiyāhu Fī Al-`Adhābi Ash-Shadīdi (Qāf: 26).
|
Who fabricated another god with God; toss him into the intense agony."
050026 |
الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ |
| Qāla Qarīnuhu Rabbanā Mā 'Aţghaytuhu Wa Lakin Kāna Fī Đalālin Ba`īdin (Qāf: 27).
|
His escort will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him rebel, but he was far astray."
050027 |
قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلاَلٍ بَعِيدٍ |
| Qāla Lā Takhtaşimū Ladayya Wa Qad Qaddamtu 'Ilaykum Bil-Wa`īdi (Qāf: 28).
|
He will say, "Do not feud in My presence"”I had warned you in advance.
050028 |
قَالَ لاَ تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَعِيدِ |
| Mā Yubaddalu Al-Qawlu Ladayya Wa Mā 'Anā Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi (Qāf: 29).
|
The decree from Me will not be changed, and I am not unjust to the servants."
050029 |
مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلاَّمٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ |
| Yawma Naqūlu Lijahannama Hal Amtala'ti Wa Taqūlu Hal Min Mazīdin (Qāf: 30).
|
On the Day when We will say to Hell, "Are you full?" And it will say, "Are there any more?"
050030 |
يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلْ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ |
| Wa 'Uzlifati Al-Jannatu Lilmuttaqīna Ghayra Ba`īdin (Qāf: 31).
|
And Paradise will be brought closer to the pious, not far away.
050031 |
وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ |
| Hādhā Mā Tū`adūna Likulli 'Awwābin Ĥafīžin (Qāf: 32).
|
"This is what you were promised"”for every careful penitent.
050032 |
هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ |
| Man Khashiya Ar-Raĥmana Bil-Ghaybi Wa Jā'a Biqalbin Munībin (Qāf: 33).
|
Who inwardly feared the Most Gracious, and came with a repentant heart.
050033 |
مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُنِيبٍ |
| Adkhulūhā Bisalāmin ۖ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khulūdi (Qāf: 34).
|
Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."
050034 |
ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَمٍ ۖ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ |
| Lahum Mā Yashā'ūna Fīhā Wa Ladaynā Mazīdun (Qāf: 35).
|
Therein they will have whatever they desire"”and We have even more.
050035 |
لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ |
| Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Qablahum Min Qarnin Hum 'Ashaddu Minhum Baţshāan Fanaqqabū Fī Al-Bilādi Hal Min Maĥīşin (Qāf: 36).
|
How many generations before them, who were more powerful than they, did We destroy? They explored the lands"”was there any escape?
050036 |
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشاً فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلاَدِ هَلْ مِنْ مَحِيصٍ |
| 'Inna Fī Dhālika Ladhikrá Liman Kāna Lahu Qalbun 'Aw 'Alqá As-Sam`a Wa Huwa Shahīdun (Qāf: 37).
|
In that is a reminder for whoever possesses a heart, or cares to listen and witness.
050037 |
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَنْ كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ |
| Wa Laqad Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Wa Mā Massanā Min Lughūbin (Qāf: 38).
|
We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and no fatigue touched Us.
050038 |
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِنْ لُغُوبٍ |
| Fāşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Sabbiĥ Biĥamdi Rabbika Qabla Ţulū`i Ash-Shamsi Wa Qabla Al-Ghurūbi (Qāf: 39).
|
So endure what they say, and proclaim the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before sunset.
050039 |
فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ |
| Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasabbiĥhu Wa 'Adbāra As-Sujūdi (Qāf: 40).
|
And glorify Him during the night, and at the end of devotions.
050040 |
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ |
| Wa Astami` Yawma Yunādi Al-Munādi Min Makānin Qarībin (Qāf: 41).
|
And listen for the Day when the caller calls from a nearby place.
050041 |
وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِنْ مَكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ |
| Yawma Yasma`ūna Aş-Şayĥata Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khurūji (Qāf: 42).
|
The Day when they will hear the Shout in all truth. That is the Day of Emergence.
050042 |
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ |
| 'Innā Naĥnu Nuĥyī Wa Numītu Wa 'Ilaynā Al-Maşīru (Qāf: 43).
|
It is We who control life and death, and to Us is the destination.
050043 |
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ |
| Yawma Tashaqqaqu Al-'Arđu `Anhum Sirā`āan ۚ Dhālika Ĥashrun `Alaynā Yasīrun (Qāf: 44).
|
The Day when the earth will crack for them at once. That is an easy gathering for Us.
050044 |
يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعاً ۚ ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ |
| Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaqūlūna ۖ Wa Mā 'Anta `Alayhim Bijabbārin ۖ Fadhakkir Bil-Qur'āni Man Yakhāfu Wa`īdi (Qāf: 45).
|
We are fully aware of what they say, and you are not a dictator over them. So remind by the Quran whoever fears My warning.
050045 |
نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّارٍ ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَنْ يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ |
