يَا-سِي ن
Wa A l-Q ur'ā ni A l-Ĥakī mi (Yā-Sīn : 2).
By the Wise Quran.
036002
وَالْقُ رْآنِ ا لْحَكِي مِ
'Inn aka Lamina A l-Mursalī na (Yā-Sīn : 3).
You are one of the messengers.
036003
إِنَّ كَ لَمِنَ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
`Alá Ş irā ţ in Mustaq ī min (Yā-Sīn : 4).
On a straight path.
036004
عَلَى صِ رَ ا ط ٍ مُسْتَق ِي مٍ
Tan zī la A l-`Azī zi A r-Ra ĥī mi (Yā-Sīn : 5).
The revelation of the Almighty, the Merciful.
036005
تَن زِي لَ ا لْعَزِي زِ ا ل رَّ حِي مِ
Litun dh ir a Q awmāan Mā 'Un dh ir a 'Ābā 'uuhum Fahum Gh ū na (Yā-Sīn : 6).
To warn a people whose ancestors were not warned, and so they are unaware.
036006
لِتُن ذِرَ قَ وْماً مَا أُن ذِرَ آبَا ؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَ افِلُو نَ
Laq ad Ĥaq q a A l-Q aw lu `Alá 'Akth ar ihim Fahum Lā Yu'uminū na (Yā-Sīn : 7).
The Word was realized against most of them, for they do not believe.
036007
لَقَ دْ حَقَّ ا لْقَ وْ لُ عَلَى أَكْثَرِ هِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ
'Inn ā Ja`alnā Fī 'A`nāq ihim 'Agh n Fahiya 'Ilá A l-'Adh q ā ni Fahum Muq ū na (Yā-Sīn : 8).
We placed shackles around their necks, up to their chins, so they are stiff-necked.
036008
إِنَّ ا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِ هِمْ أَغْ لاَلاً فَهِيَ إِلَى ا لأَذْقَ ا نِ فَهُمْ مُقْ مَحُو نَ
Wa Ja`alnā Min Bay ni 'Aydī him Saddāan Wa Min Kh m Saddāan Fa'agh sh aynāhum Fahum Lā Yub ş irū na (Yā-Sīn : 9).
And We placed a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them, so they cannot see.
036009
وَجَعَلْنَا مِن ْ بَيْ نِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدّاً وَمِنْ خَ لْفِهِمْ سَدّاً فَأَغْ شَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْ صِ رُو نَ
Wa Sawā 'un `Alayhim 'A'an dh artahum 'Am Lam Tun dh ir hum Lā Yu'uminū na (Yā-Sīn : 10).
It is the same for them, whether you warn them, or do not warn them"”they will not believe.
036010
وَسَوَا ءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَن ذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُن ذِرْ هُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ
'Inn amā Tun dh ir u Mani A A dh -Dh ikra Wa Kh sh iya A r-Ra ĥmana Bil-Gh y bi ۖ Fabash sh ir hu Bimagh ra tin Wa 'Aj r in Kar ī min (Yā-Sīn : 11).
You warn only him who follows the Message, and fears the Most Gracious inwardly. So give him good news of forgiveness, and a generous reward.

إِنَّ مَا تُن ذِر ُمَنِ ا ا ل ذِّكْرَ وَخَ شِيَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنَ بِا لْغَ يْ بِ ۖ فَبَشِّر ْهُ بِمَغْ فِرَ ةٍ وَأَجْ رٍ كَرِ ي مٍ
'Inn ā Naĥnu Nuĥyi A l-Mawtá Wa Naktubu Mā Q addamū Wa 'Āth āra hum ۚ Wa Kulla Sh ay 'in 'Ĥş aynā hu Fī 'Imā min Mubī nin (Yā-Sīn : 12).
It is We who revive the dead; and We write down what they have forwarded, and their traces. We have tallied all things in a Clear Record.

إِنَّ ا نَحْنُ نُحْيِ ا لْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَ دَّمُوا وَآثَارَ هُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أحْصَ يْنَا هُ فِي إِمَا مٍ مُبِي نٍ
Wa A r ib Lahum Math alāan 'Aş ĥā ba A l-Q aryati 'Idh Jā 'ahā A l-Mursalū na (Yā-Sīn : 13).
And cite for them the parable of the landlords of the town"”when the messengers came to it.

وَاضْ رِ ب ْ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً أَصْ حَا بَ ا لْقَ رْيَةِ إِذْ جَا ءَهَا ا لْمُرْسَلُو نَ
'Idh 'Arsalnā 'Ilayhimu A th nay ni Fakadh dh abūhumā Fa`azzaznā Bith ālith in Faq ālū 'Inn ā 'Ilaykum Mursalū na (Yā-Sīn : 14).
We sent them two messengers, but they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third. They said, "We are messengers to you."

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ ا يْ نِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَ الُو ا إِنَّ ا إِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُو نَ
Q ālū Mā 'An tum 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Wa Mā 'An zala A r-Ra ĥmā nu Min Sh ay 'in 'In 'An tum 'Illā Takdh ibū na (Yā-Sīn : 15).
They said, "You are nothing but humans like us, and the Gracious did not send down anything; you are only lying."

قَ الُوا مَا أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَمَا أَن زَلَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ مِن ْ شَيْ ءٍ إِن ْ أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ تَكْذِبُو نَ
Q ālū Ra bbunā Ya`lamu 'Inn ā 'Ilaykum Lamursalū na (Yā-Sīn : 16).
They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you.

قَ الُوا رَ بُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّ ا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُو نَ
Wa Mā `Alaynā 'Illā A l-Balāgh A l-Mubī nu (Yā-Sīn : 17).
And our only duty is clear communication."
036017
وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلاَّ ا لْبَلاَغُ ا لْمُبِي نُ
Q ālū 'Inn ā Taţ ayyarnā Bikum ۖ La'in Lam Tan tahū Lanarjumann akum Wa Layamassann akum Minn ā `Adh ā bun 'Alī mun (Yā-Sīn : 18).
They said, "We see an evil omen in you; if you do not give up, we will stone you, and a painful punishment from us will befall you."

قَ الُو ا إِنَّ ا تَطَ يَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَن تَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّ كُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّ كُمْ مِنَّ ا عَذَا بٌ أَلِي مٌ
Q ālū Ţ ā 'iru kum Ma`akum ۚ 'A'in Dh ukkir tum ۚ Bal 'An tum Q aw mun Musr ifū na (Yā-Sīn : 19).
They said, "Your evil omen is upon you. Is it because you were reminded? But you are an extravagant people."

قَ الُوا طَ ا ئِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ْ ذُكِّر ْتُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْ تُمْ قَ وْ مٌ مُسْرِ فُو نَ
Wa Jā 'a Min 'Aq ş á A l-Madīnati Ra julun Yas`á Q ā la Yā Q aw mi A A l-Mursalī na (Yā -Sīn : 20).
Then a man came running from the remotest part of the city. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.

وَجَا ءَ مِنْ أَقْ صَ ى ا لْمَدِينَةِ رَ جُلٌ يَسْعَى قَ ا لَ يَاقَ وْ مِ ا ا ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
A n Lā Yas'alukum 'Aj rā an Wa Hum Muhtadū na (Yā-Sīn : 21).
Follow those who ask you of no wage, and are themselves guided.
036021
ا ا مَن ْ لاَ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْ راً وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُو نَ
Wa Mā Liya Lā 'A`budu A l-Ladh ī Faţ ara nī Wa 'Ilay hi Turja`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 22).
"And why should I not worship Him Who created me, and to Whom you will be returned?
036022
وَمَا لِيَ لاَ أَعْبُدُ ا لَّذِي فَطَ رَ نِي وَإِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُو نَ
'A'attakh dh u Min Dūnihi 'Ālihatan 'In Yur id ni A r-Ra ĥmā nu Biđurr in Lā Tugh nn ī Sh afā`atuhum Sh ay'ā an Wa Lā Yun q idh ū ni (Yā-Sīn : 23).
Shall I take other gods instead of Him? If the Merciful desires harm for me, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor will they save me.
036023
أَأَتَّخِ ذُ مِن ْ دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن ْ يُرِ دْ نِ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ بِضُ رٍّ لاَ تُغْ نِ عَنِّ ي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْ ئاً وَلاَ يُن قِ ذُو نِ
'Inn ī 'Idh āan Lafī Đ alā lin Mubī nin (Yā-Sīn : 24).
In that case, I would be completely lost.
036024
إِنِّ ي إِذاً لَفِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِي نٍ
'Inn ī 'Āman tu Bira bbikum Fāsma`ū ni (Yā-Sīn : 25).
I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
036025
إِنِّ ي آمَنْ تُ بِرَ بِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُو نِ
Q ī la A d kh A l-Jann ata ۖ Q ā la Yā Lay ta Q awmī Ya`lamū na (Yā -Sīn : 26).
It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "If only my people knew.

قِ ي لَ ا دْ خُ لِ ا لْجَنَّ ةَ ۖ قَ ا لَ يَالَيْ تَ قَ وْمِي يَعْلَمُو نَ
Bimā Gh ra Lī Ra bbī Wa Ja`alanī Mina A l-Mukra mī na (Yā-Sīn : 27).
How my Lord has forgiven me, and made me one of the honored."
036027
بِمَا غَ فَرَ لِي رَ بِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ا لْمُكْرَ مِي نَ
Wa Mā 'An zalnā `Alá Q awmihi Min Ba`dihi Min Jun din Mina A s-Samā 'i Wa Mā Kunn ā Mun zilī na (Yā-Sīn : 28).
After him, We sent down no hosts from heaven to his people; nor would We ever send any down.
036028
وَمَا أَن زَلْنَا عَلَى قَ وْمِهِ مِن ْ بَعْدِهِ مِن ْ جُن دٍ مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ وَمَا كُنَّ ا مُن زِلِي نَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idh ā Hum Kh ū na (Yā-Sīn : 29).
It was just one Cry, and they were stilled.
036029
إِن ْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَ امِدُو نَ
Yā Ĥasra tan `Alá A l-`Ibā di ۚ Mā Ya'tīhim Min Ra sū lin 'Illā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ū n (Yā -Sīn : 30).
Alas for the servants. No messenger ever came to them, but they ridiculed him.
036030
يَاحَسْرَ ةً عَلَى ا لْعِبَا دِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ رَ سُو لٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُ ون
'Alam Yara wā Kam 'Ahlaknā Q ab lahum Mina A l-Q urū ni 'Ann ahum 'Ilayhim Lā Yarji`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 31).
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them; and that unto them they will not return?
036031
أَلَمْ يَرَ وْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَ بْ لَهُمْ مِنَ ا لْقُ رُو نِ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُو نَ
Wa 'In Kullun Lamm ā Jamī `un Ladaynā Muĥđarū na (Yā-Sīn : 32).
All of them, every single one of them, will be arraigned before Us.
036032
وَإِن ْ كُلّ ٌ لَمَّ ا جَمِي ع ٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَ رُو نَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahumu A l-'Arđu A l-Maytatu 'Aĥyaynāhā Wa 'Akh ra j nā Minhā Ĥabbāan Faminhu Ya'kulū na (Yā-Sīn : 33).
And there is a sign for them in the dead land: We give it life, and produce from it grains from which they eat.
036033
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمُ ا لأَرْضُ ا لْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْ رَ جْ نَا مِنْ هَا حَبّاً فَمِنْ هُ يَأْكُلُو نَ
Wa Ja`alnā Fīhā Jann ā tin Min Nakh ī lin Wa 'A`nā bin Wa Fajjarnā Fīhā Mina A l-`Uyū ni (Yā-Sīn : 34).
And We place in it gardens of palm-trees and vines, and cause springs to gush out of it.
036034
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنّ َا تٍ مِن ْ نَخِ ي لٍ وَأَعْنَا بٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ا لْعُيُو نِ
Liya'kulū Min Th amar ihi Wa Mā `Amilat/hu 'Aydī him ۖ 'Afalā Yash kurū na (Yā-Sīn : 35).
That they may eat from its fruits, although their hands did not make it. Will they not be appreciative?
036035
لِيَأْكُلُوا مِن ْ ثَمَرِ هِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَشْكُرُو نَ
Sub ĥā na A l-Ladh ī Kh q a A l-'Azwā ja Kullahā Mimm ā Tun bitu A l-'Arđu Wa Min 'An fusihim Wa Mimm ā Lā Ya`lamū na (Yā-Sīn : 36).
Glory be to Him who created all the pairs; of what the earth produces, and of their own selves, and of what they do not know.
036036
سُبْ حَا نَ ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ ا لأَزْوَا جَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّ ا تُنْ بِتُ ا لأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَن فُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّ ا لاَ يَعْلَمُو نَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahumu A l-Lay lu Naslakh A n -Nahā ra Fa'idh ā Hum Mužlimū na (Yā-Sīn : 37).
Another sign for them is the night: We strip the day out of it"”and they are in darkness.
036037
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمُ ا ل لَّيْ لُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْ هُ ا ل نَّ هَا رَ فَإِذَا هُمْ مُظْ لِمُو نَ
Wa A sh -Sh am su Taj r ī Limustaq arr in Lahā ۚ Dh ālika Taq ī r u A l-`Azī zi A l-`Alī mi (Yā-Sīn : 38).
And the sun runs towards its destination. Such is the design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
036038
وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْ رِ ي لِمُسْتَقَ رٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَلِكَ تَقْ دِي ر ُا لْعَزِي زِ ا لْعَلِي مِ
Wa A l-Q amara Q addarnā hu Manāzila Ĥattá `Ā da Kāl`urjū ni A l-Q adī mi (Yā-Sīn : 39).
And the moon: We have disposed it in phases, until it returns like the old twig.
036039
وَالْقَ مَرَ قَ دَّرْنَا هُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّى عَا دَ كَالْعُرْجُو نِ ا لْقَ دِي مِ
Lā A sh -Sh am su Yan bagh ā 'An Tud r ika A l-Q amara Wa Lā A l-Lay lu Sābiq u A n -Nahā r i ۚ Wa Kullun Fī Falakin Yasbaĥū na (Yā-Sīn : 40).
The sun is not to overtake the moon, nor is the night to outpace the day. Each floats in an orbit.
036040
لاَ ا ل شَّمْسُ يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهَا أَن ْ تُدْ رِ كَ ا لْقَ مَرَ وَلاَ ا ل لَّيْ لُ سَابِقُ ا ل نَّ هَا رِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُو نَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahum 'Ann ā Ĥamalnā Dh urr īyatahum Fī A l-Fulki A l-Mash ĥū ni (Yā-Sīn : 41).
Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark.
036041
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمْ أَنَّ ا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي ا لْفُلْكِ ا لْمَشْحُو نِ
Wa Kh q m Min Mith lihi Mā Yarkabū na (Yā-Sīn : 42).
And We created for them the like of it, in which they ride.
036042
وَخَ لَقْ نَا لَهُمْ مِن ْ مِثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُو نَ
Wa 'In Nash a' Nugh r iq m Falā Ş ar īkh m Wa Lā Hum Yun q adh ū na (Yā-Sīn : 43).
If We will, We can drown them"”with no screaming to be heard from them, nor will they be saved.
036043
وَإِن ْ نَشَأْ نُغْ رِ قْ هُمْ فَلاَ صَ ر ِي خَ لَهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُن قَ ذُو نَ
'Illā Ra ĥmatan Minn ā Wa Matā`āan 'Ilá Ĥī nin (Yā-Sīn : 44).
Except by a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while.
036044
إِلاَّ رَ حْمَةً مِنَّ ا وَمَتَاعاً إِلَى حِي نٍ
Wa 'Idh ā Q ī la Lahumu A q ū Mā Bay na 'Aydī kum Wa Mā Kh m La`allakum Turĥamū na (Yā-Sīn : 45).
Yet when it is said to them, "Beware of what lies before you, and what lies behind you, that you may receive mercy."
036045
وَإِذَا قِ ي لَ لَهُمُ ا قُ وا مَا بَيْ نَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَ لْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُو نَ
Wa Mā Ta'tīhim Min 'Āyatin Min 'Āyā ti Ra bbihim 'Illā Kānū `Anhā Mu`r iđī na (Yā-Sīn : 46).
Yet never came to them a sign of their Lord's signs, but they turned away from it.
036046
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ آيَةٍ مِن ْ آيَا تِ رَ بِّهِمْ إِلاَّ كَانُوا عَنْ هَا مُعْرِ ض ِي نَ
Wa 'Idh ā Q ī la Lahum 'An fiq ū Mimm ā Ra zaq akumu A ll āhu Q ā la A l-Ladh ī na Kafarū Lilladh ī na 'Āmanū 'Anuţ n Law Yash ā 'u A ll āhu 'Aţ n tum 'Illā Fī Đ alā lin Mubī nin (Yā-Sīn : 47).
And when it is said to them, "Spend of what God has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Shall we feed someone whom God could feed, if He so willed? You must be deeply misguided."
036047
وَإِذَا قِ ي لَ لَهُمْ أَن فِقُ وا مِمَّ ا رَ زَقَ كُمُ ا ل لَّ هُ قَ ا لَ ا لَّذِي نَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِي نَ آمَنُو ا أَنُطْ عِمُ مَن ْ لَوْ يَشَا ءُ ا ل لَّ هُ أَطْ عَمَهُ إِن ْ أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ فِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِي نٍ
Wa Yaq ūlū na Matá Hādh ā A l-Wa`du 'In Kun tum Ş ādiq ī na (Yā-Sīn : 48).
And they say, "When will this promise be, if you are truthful?"
036048
وَيَقُ ولُو نَ مَتَى هَذَا ا لْوَعْدُ إِن ْ كُن تُمْ صَ ادِق ِي نَ
Mā Yan žurū na 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Ta'kh dh uhum Wa Hum Yakh ş ş imū na (Yā-Sīn : 49).
All they can expect is a single blast, which will seize them while they feud.
036049
مَا يَن ظُ رُو نَ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُ ذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِ صِّ مُو نَ
Falā Yastaţ ī`ū na Tawş iyatan Wa Lā 'Ilá 'Ahlihim Yarji`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 50).
They will not be able to make a will, nor will they return to their families.
036050
فَلاَ يَسْتَطِ يعُو نَ تَوْصِ يَةً وَلاَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُو نَ
Wa Nufikh A ş -Ş ū r i Fa'idh ā Hum Mina A l-'Aj dāth i 'Ilá Ra bbihim Yan silū na (Yā-Sīn : 51).
The Trumpet will be blown, then behold, they will rush from the tombs to their Lord.

وَنُفِخَ فِي ا ل صُّ و رِ فَإِذَا هُمْ مِنَ ا لأَجْ دَا ثِ إِلَى رَ بِّهِمْ يَن سِلُو نَ
Q ālū Yā Waylanā Man Ba`ath anā Min Marq adinā ۜ ۗ Hādh ā Mā Wa`ada A r-Ra ĥmā nu Wa Ş adaq a A l-Mursalū na (Yā -Sīn : 52).
They will say, "Woe to us! Who resurrected us from our resting-place?" This is what the Most Gracious had promised, and the messengers have spoken the truth."
036052
قَ الُوا يَاوَيْلَنَا مَن ْ بَعَثَنَا مِن ْ ۜ مَرْقَ دِنَا ۗ هَذَا مَا وَعَدَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ وَصَ دَقَ ا لْمُرْسَلُو نَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idh ā Hum Jamī `un Ladaynā Muĥđarū na (Yā-Sīn : 53).
It will be but a single scream; and behold, they will all be brought before Us.
036053
إِن ْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِي ع ٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَ رُو نَ
Fālyaw ma Lā Tužlamu Nafsun Sh ay'ā an Wa Lā Tuj zaw na 'Illā Mā Kun tum Ta`malū na (Yā-Sīn : 54).
On that Day, no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will be recompensed only for what you used to do.

فَا لْيَوْ مَ لاَ تُظْ لَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْ ئاً وَلاَ تُجْ زَوْ نَ إِلاَّ مَا كُن تُمْ تَعْمَلُو نَ
'Inn a 'Aş ĥā ba A l-Jann ati A l-Yaw ma Fī Sh ugh n Fākihū na (Yā-Sīn : 55).
The inhabitants of Paradise, on that Day, will be happily busy.

إِنّ َ أَصْ حَا بَ ا لْجَنَّ ةِ ا لْيَوْ مَ فِي شُغُ لٍ فَاكِهُو نَ
Hum Wa 'Azwājuhum Fī Ž ilā lin `Alá A l-'Arā 'iki Muttaki'ū na (Yā-Sīn : 56).
They and their spouses, in shades, reclining on couches.

هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِ لاَلٍ عَلَى ا لأَرَا ئِكِ مُتَّكِئُو نَ
Lahum Fīhā Fākihatun Wa Lahum Mā Yadda`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 57).
They will have therein fruits. They will have whatever they call for.

لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُو نَ
Salā mun Q awlāan Min Ra bbin Ra ĥī min (Yā-Sīn : 58).
Peace"”a saying from a Most Merciful Lord.

سَلاَمٌ قَ وْلاً مِن ْ رَ بٍّ رَ حِي مٍ
Wa A m tāzū A l-Yaw ma 'Ayyuhā A l-Muj r imū na (Yā-Sīn : 59).
But step aside today, you criminals.
036059
وَامْتَازُوا ا لْيَوْ مَ أَيُّهَا ا لْمُجْ رِ مُو نَ
'Alam 'A`had 'Ilaykum Yā Banī 'Ādama 'An Lā Ta`budū A sh -Sh ayţ ā na ۖ 'Inn ahu Lakum `Adū wun Mubī nun (Yā -Sīn : 60).
Did I not covenant with you, O Children of Adam, that you shall not serve the devil? That he is your sworn enemy?

أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَابَنِي آدَمَ أَن ْ لاَ تَعْبُدُوا ا ل شَّيْطَ ا نَ ۖ إِنَّ هُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِي نٌ
Wa 'Ani A `budūnī ۚ Hādh ā Ş irā ţ un Mustaq ī mun (Yā-Sīn : 61).
And that you shall serve Me? This is a straight path.
036061
وَأَنِ ا عْبُدُونِي ۚ هَذَا صِ رَ ا ط ٌ مُسْتَق ِي مٌ
Wa Laq ad 'Ađalla Min kum Jibillāan Kath īrā an ۖ 'Afalam Takūnū Ta`q ilū na (Yā-Sīn : 62).
He has misled a great multitude of you. Did you not understand?

وَلَقَ دْ أَضَ لَّ مِنْ كُمْ جِبِلّاً كَثِير اً ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِ لُو نَ
Hadh ihi Jahann amu A llatī Kun tum Tū`adū na (Yā-Sīn : 63).
This is Hellfire, which you were promised.
036063
هَذِهِ جَهَنَّ مُ ا لَّتِي كُن تُمْ تُوعَدُو نَ
A ş lawhā A l-Yaw ma Bimā Kun tum Takfurū na (Yā-Sīn : 64).
Roast in it today, because you persistently disbelieved.
036064
ا صْ لَوْهَا ا لْيَوْ مَ بِمَا كُن تُمْ تَكْفُرُو نَ
Al-Yaw ma Nakh á 'Afwāhihim Wa Tukallimunā 'Aydī him Wa Tash /hadu 'Arjuluhum Bimā Kānū Yaksibū na (Yā-Sīn : 65).
On this Day, We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to everything they had done.

ا لْيَوْ مَ نَخْ تِمُ عَلَى أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُو نَ
Wa Law Nash ā 'u Laţ amasnā `Alá 'A`yunihim Fāstabaq ū A ş -Ş ir ā ţ a Fa'ann á Yub ş irū na (Yā-Sīn : 66).
If We will, We can blind their eyes as they rush towards the path"”but how will they see?

وَلَوْ نَشَا ءُ لَطَ مَسْنَا عَلَى أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُ وا ا ل صِّ رَ ا طَ فَأَنَّ ى يُبْ صِ رُو نَ
Wa Law Nash ā 'u Lamasakh m `Alá Makānatihim Famā A ţ ā`ū Muđīyā an Wa Lā Yarji`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 67).
And if We will, We can cripple them in their place; so they can neither move forward, nor go back.

وَلَوْ نَشَا ءُ لَمَسَخْ نَاهُمْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ا طَ اعُوا مُضِ يّاً وَلاَ يَرْجِعُو نَ
Wa Man Nu`amm ir hu Nunakkis/hu Fī A l-Kh q i ۖ 'Afalā Ya`q ilū na (Yā-Sīn : 68).
Whomever We grant old age, We reverse his development. Do they not understand?
036068
وَمَن ْ نُعَمِّ ر ْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي ا لْخَ لْقِ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَعْقِ لُو نَ
Wa Mā `Allam nā hu A sh -Sh i`ra Wa Mā Yan bagh ۚ 'In Huwa 'I llā Dh ikru n Wa Q ur'ā nun Mubī nun (Yā-Sīn : 69).
We did not teach him poetry, nor is it proper for him. It is only a reminder, and a Clear Quran.

وَمَا عَلَّمْنَا هُ ا ل شِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهُ ۚ إِن ْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرٌ وَقُ رْآنٌ مُبِي نٌ
Liyun dh ir a Man Kā na Ĥayyā an Wa Yaĥiq q a A l-Q aw lu `Alá A l-Kāfir ī na (Yā-Sīn : 70).
That he may warn whoever is alive, and prove the Word against the faithless.

لِيُنْ ذِرَ مَن ْ كَا نَ حَيّاً وَيَحِقَّ ا لْقَ وْ لُ عَلَى ا لْكَافِرِ ي نَ
'Awalam Yara wā 'Ann ā Kh q m Mimm ā `Amilat 'Aydī nā 'An`āmāan Fahum Lahā Mālikū na (Yā-Sīn : 71).
Have they not seen that We created for them, of Our Handiwork, livestock that they own?
036071
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ وْا أَنَّ ا خَ لَقْ نَا لَهُمْ مِمَّ ا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْ عَاماً فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُو نَ
Wa Dh allalnāhā Lahum Faminhā Ra kūbuhum Wa Minhā Ya'kulū na (Yā-Sīn : 72).
And We subdued them for them. Some they ride, and some they eat.
036072
وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْ هَا رَ كُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْ هَا يَأْكُلُو نَ
Wa Lahum Fīhā Manāfi`u Wa Mash ār ibu ۖ 'Afalā Yash kurū na (Yā-Sīn : 73).
And they have in them other benefits, and drinks. Will they not give thanks?

وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَارِ بُ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَشْكُرُو نَ
Wa A kh dh ū Min Dū ni A ll ā hi 'Ālihatan La`allahum Yun ş arū na (Yā-Sīn : 74).
Yet they have taken to themselves gods other than God, that perhaps they may be helped.

وَاتَّخَ ذُوا مِن ْ دُو نِ ا ل لَّ هِ آلِهَة ً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُن صَ رُو نَ
Lā Yastaţ ī`ū na Naş ra hum Wa Hum Lahum Jun dun Muĥđarū na (Yā-Sīn : 75).
They cannot help them, although they are arrayed as troops for them.

لاَ يَسْتَطِ يعُو نَ نَصْ رَ هُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُن دٌ مُحْضَ رُو نَ
Falā Yaĥzun ka Q awluhum ۘ 'Inn ā Na`lamu Mā Yusir rū na Wa Mā Yu`linū na (Yā-Sīn : 76).
So let their words not sadden you. We know what they conceal, and what they reveal.

فَلاَ يَحْزُنْ كَ قَ وْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّ ا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِر ُّو نَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُو نَ
'Awalam Yara A l-'In sā nu 'Ann ā Kh q ā hu Min Nuţ n Fa'idh ā Huwa Kh ş ī mun Mubī nun (Yā-Sīn : 77).
Does the human being not consider that We created him from a seed? Yet he becomes a fierce adversary.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ا لإِن سَا نُ أَنَّ ا خَ لَقْ نَا هُ مِن ْ نُطْ فَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَ صِ ي مٌ مُبِي نٌ
Wa Đ ara ba Lanā Math alāan Wa Nasiya Kh q ahu ۖ Q ā la Man Yuĥyī A l-`Ižā ma Wa Hiya Ra mī mun (Yā-Sīn : 78).
And he produces arguments against Us, and he forgets his own creation. He says, "Who will revive the bones when they have decayed?"

وَضَ رَ بَ لَنَا مَثَلاً وَنَسِيَ خَ لْقَ هُ ۖ قَ ا لَ مَن ْ يُحْيِي ا لْعِظَ ا مَ وَهِيَ رَ مِي مٌ
Q ul Yuĥyīhā A l-Ladh ī 'An sh a'ahā 'Awwala Marra tin ۖ Wa Huwa Bikulli Kh q in `Alī mun (Yā-Sīn : 79).
Say, "He who initiated them in the first instance will revive them. He has knowledge of every creation."

قُ لْ يُحْيِيهَا ا لَّذِي أَن شَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّ ةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَ لْقٍ عَلِي مٌ
Al-Ladh ī Ja`ala Lakum Mina A sh -Sh ajar i A l-'Akh r i Nārā an Fa'idh ā 'An tum Minhu Tūq idū na (Yā-Sīn : 80).
He who produced fuel for you from the green trees, with which you kindle a fire.

ا لَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ ا ل شَّجَرِ ا لأَخْ ضَ رِ نَاراً فَإِذَا أَنْ تُمْ مِنْ هُ تُوقِ دُو نَ
'Awalay sa A l-Ladh ī Kh q a A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđa Biq ādir á 'An Yakh q a Mith lahum ۚ Balá Wa Huwa A l-Kh ā q u A l-`Alī mu (Yā-Sīn : 81).
Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Certainly. He is the Supreme All-Knowing Creator.

أَوَلَيْ سَ ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ وَا لأَرْضَ بِقَ ادِر ٍ عَلَى أَن ْ يَخْ لُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ ۚ بَلَى وَهُوَ ا لْخَ لاَّقُ ا لْعَلِي مُ
'Inn amā 'Am ru hu 'Idh ā 'Ar ā da Sh ay'ā an 'An Yaq ū la Lahu Kun Fayakū nu (Yā-Sīn : 82).
His command, when He wills a thing, is to say to it, "Be," and it comes to be.

إِنَّ مَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَ ا دَ شَيْ ئاً أَن ْ يَقُ و لَ لَهُ كُن ْ فَيَكُو نُ
Fasub ĥā na A l-Ladh ī Biyadihi Malakū tu Kulli Sh ay 'in Wa 'Ilay hi Turja`ū na (Yā-Sīn : 83).
So glory be to Him in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and to Him you will be returned.

فَسُبْ حَا نَ ا لَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُو تُ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ وَإِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُو نَ
