طَ ا-سِين -مِي م
Tilka 'Āyā tu A l-Kitā bi A l-Mubī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 2).
These are the Verses of the Clarifying Book.
026002
تِلْكَ آيَا تُ ا لْكِتَا بِ ا لْمُبِي نِ
La`allaka Bākh n Nafsaka 'Allā Yakūnū Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 3).
Perhaps you will destroy yourself with grief, because they do not become believers.
026003
لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِ عٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلاَّ يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِي نَ
'In Nash a' Nunazzil `Alayhim Mina A s-Samā 'i 'Āyatan Fažallat 'A`nāq uhum Lahā Kh ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 4).
If We will, We can send down upon them a sign from heaven, at which their necks will stay bent in humility.
026004
إِن ْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ آيَةً فَظَ لَّتْ أَعْنَاقُ هُمْ لَهَا خَ اضِ عِي نَ
Wa Mā Ya'tīhim Min Dh ikr in Mina A r-Ra ĥmani Muĥdath in 'Illā Kānū `Anhu Mu`r iđī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 5).
No fresh reminder comes to them from the Most Merciful, but they turn their backs at it.
026005
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا عَنْ هُ مُعْرِ ض ِي نَ
Faq ad Kadh dh abū Fasaya'tīhim 'An bā 'u Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ū n (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 6).
They have denied the truth, but soon will come to them the news of what they ridiculed.
026006
فَقَ دْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْ بَا ءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُ ون
'Awalam Yara wā 'Ilá A l-'Arđi Kam 'An batnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zaw jin Kar ī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 7).
Have they not seen the earth, and how many beautiful pairs We produced therein?
026007
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ وْا إِلَى ا لأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْ بَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن ْ كُلِّ زَوْ جٍ كَرِ ي مٍ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 8).
Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026008
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 9).
Most surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026009
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Wa 'Idh Nādá Ra bbuka Mūsá 'Ani A A l-Q aw ma A ž-Ž ālimī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 10).
Your Lord called to Moses, "Go to the tyrannical people.
026010
وَإِذْ نَادَى رَ بُّكَ مُوسَى أَنِ ا ا لْقَ وْ مَ ا ل ظَّ الِمِي نَ
Q aw ma Fir `aw na ۚ 'Alā Yattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 11).
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear?"
026011
قَ وْ مَ فِر ْعَوْ نَ ۚ أَلاَ يَتَّقُو نَ
Q ā la Ra bbi 'Inn ī 'Akh ā fu 'An Yukadh dh ibū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 12).
He said, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me.
026012
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّ إِنِّ ي أَخَ ا فُ أَن ْ يُكَذِّبُو نِ
Wa Yađī q u Ş ad r ī Wa Lā Yan ţ aliq u Lisānī Fa'arsil 'Ilá Hārū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 13).
And I become stressed, and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron too.
026013
وَيَضِ ي قُ صَ دْ رِ ي وَلاَ يَنْ طَ لِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَى هَارُو نَ
Wa Lahum `Alay ya Dh an bun Fa'akh ā fu 'An Yaq ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 14).
And they have a charge against me, so I fear they will kill me."
026014
وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْ بٌ فَأَخَ ا فُ أَن ْ يَقْ تُلُو نِ
Q ā la Kallā ۖ Fādh /habā Bi'ā yātinā ۖ 'Inn ā Ma`akum Mustami`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 15).
He said, "No. Go, both of you, with Our proofs. We will be with you, listening.

قَ ا لَ كَلاَّ ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّ ا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُو نَ
Fa'tiyā Fir `aw na Faq ūlā 'Inn ā Ra sū lu Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 16).
Go to Pharaoh, and say, "کWe are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds.

فَأْتِيَا فِر ْعَوْ نَ فَقُ ولاَ إِنَّ ا رَ سُو لُ رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
'An 'Arsil Ma`anā Banī 'Isrā 'ī la (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 17).
Let the Children of Israel go with us.'"
026017
أَن ْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَا ئ ِي لَ
Q ā la 'Alam Nura bbika Fīnā Walīdāan Wa Labith ta Fīnā Min `Umur ika Sinī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 18).
He said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you stayed among us for many of your years?

قَ ا لَ أَلَمْ نُرَ بِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيداً وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِ كَ سِنِي نَ
Wa Fa`alta Fa`lataka A llatī Fa`alta Wa 'An ta Mina A l-Kāfir ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 19).
And you committed that deed you committed, and you were ungrateful."
026019
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ا لَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْكَافِرِ ي نَ
Q ā la Fa`altuhā 'Idh āan Wa 'Anā Mina A đ-Đ ā llīn (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 20).
He said, "I did it then, when I was of those astray.
026020
قَ ا لَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذاً وَأَنَا مِنَ ا ل ضَّ ا لِّي ن
Fafara rtu Min kum Lamm ā Kh m Fawahaba Lī Ra bbī Ĥukmāan Wa Ja`alanī Mina A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 21).
And I fled from you when I feared you; but my Lord gave me wisdom, and made me one of the messengers.
026021
فَفَرَ رْتُ مِنْ كُمْ لَمَّ ا خِ فْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَ بِّي حُكْماً وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
Wa Tilka Ni`matun Tamunn uhā `Alay ya 'An `Abbad ta Banī 'Isrā 'ī la (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 22).
Is that the favor you taunt me with, although you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"
026022
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّ هَا عَلَيَّ أَن ْ عَبَّدْ تَ بَنِي إِسْرَا ئ ِي لَ
Q ā la Fir `aw nu Wa Mā Ra bbu A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 23).
Pharaoh said, "And what is the Lord of the Worlds?"
026023
قَ ا لَ فِر ْعَوْ نُ وَمَا رَ بُّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Q ā la Ra bbu A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ 'In Kun tum Mūq inī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 24).
He said, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, if you are aware."
026024
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ وَا لأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إن ْ كُن تُمْ مُوقِ نِي نَ
Q ā la Liman Ĥawlahu 'Alā Tastami`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 25).
He said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"
026025
قَ ا لَ لِمَن ْ حَوْلَهُ أَلاَ تَسْتَمِعُو نَ
Q ā la Ra bbukum Wa Ra bbu 'Ābā 'ikumu A l-'Awwalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 26).
He said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of old."
026026
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّكُمْ وَرَ بُّ آبَا ئِكُمُ ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
Q ā la 'Inn a Ra sūlakumu A l-Ladh ī 'Ursila 'Ilaykum Lamaj nū nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 27).
He said, "This messenger of yours, who is sent to you, is crazy."
026027
قَ ا لَ إِنّ َ رَ سُولَكُمُ ا لَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْ نُو نٌ
Q ā la Ra bbu A l-Mash r iq i Wa A l-Magh r ibi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ 'In Kun tum Ta`q ilū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 28).
He said, "Lord of the East and the West, and everything between them, if you understand."
026028
قَ ا لَ رَ بُّ ا لْمَشْرِ قِ وَا لْمَغْ رِ بِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِن ْ كُنْ تُمْ تَعْقِ لُو نَ
Q ā la La'ini A kh dh ta 'Ilahāan Gh yrī La'aj `alann aka Mina A l-Masjūnī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 29).
He said, "If you accept any god other than me, I will make you a prisoner."
026029
قَ ا لَ لَئِنِ ا خَ ذْتَ إِلَهَاً غَ يْرِ ي لَأَجْ عَلَنَّ كَ مِنَ ا لْمَسْجُونِي نَ
Q ā la 'Awalaw Ji'tuka Bish ay 'in Mubī nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 30).
He said, "What if I bring you something convincing?"
026030
قَ ا لَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْ ءٍ مُبِي نٍ
Q ā la Fa'ti Bihi 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 31).
He said, "Bring it, if you are being truthful."
026031
قَ ا لَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِق ِي نَ
Fa'alq á `Aş ā hu Fa'idh ā Hiya Th u`bā nun Mubī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 32).
So he cast his staff; and it was a serpent, plain to see.
026032
فَأَلْقَ ى عَصَ ا هُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَا نٌ مُبِي نٌ
Wa Naza`a Yadahu Fa'idh ā Hiya Bayđā 'u Lilnn āžir ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 33).
And he pulled his hand; and it was white, for all to see.
026033
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَ ا ءُ لِلنَّ اظِ رِ ي نَ
Q ā la Lilmala'i Ĥawlahu 'Inn a Hādh ā Lasāĥir un `Alī mun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 34).
He said to the dignitaries around him, "This is a skilled magician.
026034
قَ ا لَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِي مٌ
Yur ī du 'An Yukh r ijakum Min 'Arđikum Bisiĥr ihi Famādh ā Ta'murū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 35).
He intends to drive you out of your land with his magic, so what do you recommend?"
026035
يُر ِي دُ أَن ْ يُخْ رِ جَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِ كُمْ بِسِحْرِ هِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُو نَ
Q ālū 'Arjihi Wa 'Akh ā hu Wa A b `ath Fī A l-Madā 'ini Ĥāsh ir ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 36).
They said, "Delay him and his brother, and send recruiters to the cities.

قَ الُو ا أَرْجِهِ وَأَخَ ا هُ وَا بْ عَثْ فِي ا لْمَدَا ئِنِ حَاشِرِ ي نَ
Ya'tū ka Bikulli Saĥĥā r in `Alī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 37).
To bring you every experienced magician."
026037
يَأْتُو كَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّا رٍ عَلِي مٍ
Fajumi`a A s-Saĥara tu Limīq ā ti Yaw min Ma`lū min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 38).
So the magicians were gathered for the appointment on a specified day.
026038
فَجُمِعَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ لِمِيقَ ا تِ يَوْ مٍ مَعْلُو مٍ
Wa Q ī la Lilnn ā si Hal 'An tum Muj tami`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 39).
And it was said to the people, "Are you all gathered?
026039
وَقِ ي لَ لِلنّ َا سِ هَلْ أَنْ تُمْ مُجْ تَمِعُو نَ
La`allanā Nattabi`u A s-Saĥara ta 'In Kānū Humu A l-Gh ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 40).
That we may follow the magicians, if they are the winners."

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةَ إِن ْ كَانُوا هُمُ ا لْغَ الِبِي نَ
Falamm ā Jā 'a A s-Saĥara tu Q ālū Lifir `aw na 'A'inn a Lanā La'aj rā an 'In Kunn ā Naĥnu A l-Gh ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 41).
When the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there a reward for us, if we are the winners?"
026041
فَلَمَّ ا جَا ءَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ قَ الُوا لِفِر ْعَوْ نَ أَئِنّ َ لَنَا لَأَجْ راً إِن ْ كُنَّ ا نَحْنُ ا لْغَ الِبِي نَ
Q ā la Na`am Wa 'Inn akum 'Idh āan Lamina A l-Muq arra bī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 42).
He said, "Yes, and you will be among those favored."
026042
قَ ا لَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّ كُمْ إِذاً لَمِنَ ا لْمُقَ رَّ بِي نَ
Q ā la Lahum Mūsá 'Alq ū Mā 'An tum Mulq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 43).
Moses said to them, "Present what you intend to present."
026043
قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ مُوسَى أَلْقُ وا مَا أَنْ تُمْ مُلْقُو نَ
Fa'alq awā Ĥibālahum Wa `Iş īyahum Wa Q ālū Bi`izzati Fir `aw na 'Inn ā Lanaĥnu A l-Gh ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 44).
So they threw their ropes and their sticks, and said, "By the majesty of Pharaoh, we will be the winners."
026044
فَأَلْقَ وْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِ يَّهُمْ وَقَ الُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِر ْعَوْ نَ إِنَّ ا لَنَحْنُ ا لْغَ الِبُو نَ
Fa'alq á Mūsá `Aş ā hu Fa'idh ā Hiya Talq afu Mā Ya'fikū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 45).
Then Moses threw his staff, and behold, it began swallowing their trickery.
026045
فَأَلْقَ ى مُوسَى عَصَ ا هُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَ فُ مَا يَأْفِكُو نَ
Fa'ulq iya A s-Saĥara tu Sājidī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 46).
And the magicians fell down prostrating.
026046
فَأُلْقِ يَ ا ل سَّحَرَ ةُ سَاجِدِي نَ
Q ālū 'Āmann ā Bira bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 47).
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the Worlds.
026047
قَ الُو ا آمَنَّ ا بِرَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Ra bbi Mūsá Wa Hārū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 48).
The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
026048
رَ بِّ مُوسَى وَهَارُو نَ
Q ā la 'Āman tum Lahu Q ab la 'An 'Ādh ana Lakum ۖ 'Inn ahu Lakabīru kumu A l-Ladh ī `Allamakumu A s-Siĥra Falasaw fa Ta`lamū na ۚ La'uq aţ ţ i`ann a 'Aydiyakum Wa 'Arjulakum Min Kh ā fin Wa La'uş allibann akum 'Aj ma`ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 49).
He said, "Did you believe in Him before I have given you permission? He must be your chief, who taught you magic. You will soon know. I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you all."

قَ ا لَ آمَنْ تُمْ لَهُ قَ بْ لَ أَن ْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ا لَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ا ل سِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْ فَ تَعْلَمُو نَ ۚ لَأُقَ طِّ عَنّ َ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِ لاَفٍ وَلَأُصَ لِّبَنَّ كُمْ أَجْ مَعِي نَ
Q ālū Lā Đ ay ra ۖ 'Inn ā 'Ilá Ra bbinā Mun q alibū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 50).
They said, "No problem. To our Lord we will return.
026050
قَ الُوا لاَ ضَ يْ رَ ۖ إِنَّ ا إِلَى رَ بِّنَا مُنْ قَ لِبُو نَ
'Inn ā Naţ n Yagh r a Lanā Ra bbunā Kh ţ āyānā 'An Kunn ā 'Awwala A l-Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 51).
We are eager for our Lord to forgive us our sins, since we are the first of the believers."

إِنَّ ا نَطْ مَعُ أَن ْ يَغْ فِرَ لَنَا رَ بُّنَا خَ طَ ايَانَا أَن ْ كُنَّ ا أَوَّلَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'An 'Asr i Bi`ibādī 'Inn akum Muttaba`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 52).
And We inspired Moses: "Travel with My servants by night. You will be followed."

وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَن ْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّ كُمْ مُتَّبَعُو نَ
Fa'arsala Fir `aw nu Fī A l-Madā 'ini Ĥāsh ir ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 53).
Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities.
026053
فَأَرْسَلَ فِر ْعَوْ نُ فِي ا لْمَدَا ئِنِ حَاشِرِ ي نَ
'Inn a Hā 'uulā ' Lash ir dh imatun Q alīlū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 54).
"These are a small gang.
026054
إِنّ َ هَا ؤُلاَءِ لَشِر ْذِمَةٌ قَ لِيلُو نَ
Wa 'Inn ahum Lanā Lagh ā 'ižū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 55).
And they are enraging us.
026055
وَإِنَّ هُمْ لَنَا لَغَ ا ئِظُو نَ
Wa 'Inn ā Lajamī `un Ĥādh irū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 56).
But we are a vigilant multitude."
026056
وَإِنَّ ا لَجَمِي عٌ حَاذِرُو نَ
Fa'akh ra j nāhum Min Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 57).
So We drove them out of gardens and springs.
026057
فَأَخْ رَ جْ نَاهُمْ مِن ْ جَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُو نٍ
Wa Kunū zin Wa Maq ā min Kar ī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 58).
And treasures and noble dwellings.
026058
وَكُنُو زٍ وَمَقَ ا مٍ كَرِ ي مٍ
Kadh ālika Wa 'Awra th nāhā Banī 'Isrā 'ī la (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 59).
So it was. And We made the Children of Israel inherit them.
026059
كَذَلِكَ وَأَوْرَ ثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَا ئ ِي لَ
Fa'atba`ūhum Mush r iq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 60).
And they pursued them at sunrise.
026060
فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِ ق ِي نَ
Falamm ā Tarā 'á A l-Jam `ā ni Q ā la 'Aş ĥā bu Mūsá 'Inn ā Lamud ra kū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 61).
When the two groups sighted each other, the followers of Moses said, "We are being overtaken."

فَلَمَّ ا تَرَا ءَى ا لْجَمْعَا نِ قَ ا لَ أَصْ حَا بُ مُوسَى إِنَّ ا لَمُدْ رَ كُو نَ
Q ā la Kallā ۖ 'Inn a Ma`iya Ra bbī Sayahdī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 62).
He said, "No; my Lord is with me, He will guide me."

قَ ا لَ كَلاَّ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَ بِّي سَيَهْدِي نِ
Fa'awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'Ani A r ib Bi`aş ā ka A l-Baĥra ۖ Fān falaq a Fakā na Kullu Fir q in Kālţ ţ aw di A l-`Ažī mi (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 63).
We inspired Moses: "Strike the sea with your staff." Whereupon it parted, and each part was like a huge hill.
026063
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنِ ا ضْ رِ ب ْ بِعَصَ ا كَ ا لْبَحْرَ ۖ فَان فَلَقَ فَكَا نَ كُلُّ فِر ْق ٍ كَال طَّ وْ دِ ا لْعَظ ِي مِ
Wa 'Azlafnā Th amm a A l-'Ākh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 64).
And there We brought the others near.

وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمّ َ ا لآخَ رِ ي نَ
Wa 'An jaynā Mūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu 'Aj ma`ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 65).
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

وَأَنْ جَيْنَا مُوسَى وَمَن ْ مَعَهُ أَجْ مَعِي نَ
Th umm a 'Agh ra q A l-'Ākh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 66).
Then We drowned the others.

ثُمّ َ أَغْ رَ قْ نَا ا لآخَ رِ ي نَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 67).
In that there is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 68).
Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026068
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Wa A tlu `Alayhim Naba'a 'Ib rā hī ma (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 69).
And relate to them the story of Abraham.
026069
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْ رَ اهِي مَ
'Idh Q ā la Li'abī hi Wa Q awmihi Mā Ta`budū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 70).
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
026070
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لِأَبِي هِ وَقَ وْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُو نَ
Q ālū Na`budu 'Aş nāmāan Fanažallu Lahā `Ākifī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 71).
They said, "We worship idols, and we remain devoted to them."

قَ الُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْ نَاماً فَنَظَ لُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِي نَ
Q ā la Hal Yasma`ūnakum 'Idh Tad `ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 72).
He said, "Do they hear you when you pray?

قَ ا لَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْ عُو نَ
'Aw Yan fa`ūnakum 'Aw Yađurrū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 73).
Or do they benefit you, or harm you?"
026073
أَوْ يَنْ فَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُ رُّو نَ
Q ālū Bal Wajad nā 'Ābā 'anā Kadh ālika Yaf`alū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 74).
They said, "But we found our ancestors doing so."
026074
قَ الُوا بَلْ وَجَدْ نَا آبَا ءَنَا كَذَلِكَ يَفْعَلُو نَ
Q ā la 'Afara 'aytum Mā Kun tum Ta`budū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 75).
He said, "Have you considered what you worship.

قَ ا لَ أَفَرَ أَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْ تُمْ تَعْبُدُو نَ
'An tum Wa 'Ābā 'uukumu A l-'Aq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 76).
You and your ancient ancestors?
026076
أَنْ تُمْ وَآبَا ؤُكُمُ ا لأَقْ دَمُو نَ
Fa'inn ahum `Adū wun Lī 'Illā Ra bba A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 77).
They are enemies to me, but not so the Lord of the Worlds.
026077
فَإِنَّ هُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلاَّ رَ بَّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Al-Ladh ī Kh q anī Fahuwa Yahdī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 78).
He who created me, and guides me.
026078
ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ نِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِي نِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī Huwa Yuţ q ī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 79).
He who feeds me, and waters me.
026079
وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْ عِمُنِي وَيَسْق ِي نِ
Wa 'Idh ā Mar iđtu Fahuwa Yash fī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 80).
And when I get sick, He heals me.
026080
وَإِذَا مَرِ ضْ تُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِي نِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī Yumītunī Th umm a Yuĥyī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 81).
He who makes me die, and then revives me.
026081
وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِي نِ
Wa A l-Ladh ī 'Aţ n Yagh r a Lī Kh ţ ī 'atī Yaw ma A d-Dī ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 82).
He who, I hope, will forgive my sins on the Day of the Reckoning."

وَالَّذِي أَطْ مَعُ أَن ْ يَغْ فِرَ لِي خَ ط ِي ئَتِي يَوْ مَ ا ل دِّي نِ
Ra bbi Hab Lī Ĥukmāan Wa 'Alĥiq ş -Ş āliĥī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 83).
"My Lord! Grant me wisdom, and include me with the righteous.
026083
رَ بِّ هَب ْ لِي حُكْماً وَأَلْحِقْ نِي بِا ل صَّ الِحِي نَ
Wa A j `al Lī Lisā na Ş id q in Fī A l-'Ākh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 84).
And give me a reputation of truth among the others.
026084
وَاجْ عَلْ لِي لِسَا نَ صِ دْ ق ٍ فِي ا لآخِ رِ ي نَ
Wa A j `alnī Min Wara th ati Jann ati A n -Na`ī mi (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 85).
And make me of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.
026085
وَاجْ عَلْنِي مِن ْ وَرَ ثَةِ جَنَّ ةِ ا ل نَّ عِي مِ
Wa A gh r Li'abī 'Inn ahu Kā na Mina A đ-Đ ā llī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 86).
And forgive my father"”he was one of the misguided.
026086
وَاغْ فِر ْ لِأَبِي إِنَّ هُ كَا نَ مِنَ ا ل ضَّ ا لِّي نَ
Wa Lā Tukh w ma Yub `ath ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 87).
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are resurrected.
026087
وَلاَ تُخْ زِنِي يَوْ مَ يُبْ عَثُو نَ
Yaw ma Lā Yan fa`u Mā lun Wa Lā Banū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 88).
The Day when neither wealth nor children will help.
026088
يَوْ مَ لاَ يَنْ فَعُ مَا لٌ وَلاَ بَنُو نَ
'Illā Man 'Atá A ll āha Biq albin Salī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 89).
Except for him who comes to God with a sound heart."
026089
إِلاَّ مَنْ أَتَى ا للَّ هَ بِقَ لْبٍ سَلِي مٍ
Wa 'Uzlifati A l-Jann atu Lilmuttaq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 90).
And Paradise will be brought near for the righteous.
026090
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ا لْجَنَّ ةُ لِلْمُتَّق ِي نَ
Wa Burr izati A l-Jaĥī mu Lilgh ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 91).
And the Blaze will be displayed to the deviators.
026091
وَبُرِّزَتِ ا لْجَحِي مُ لِلْغَ اوِي نَ
Wa Q ī la Lahum 'Ay na Mā Kun tum Ta`budū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 92).
And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship?"
026092
وَقِ ي لَ لَهُمْ أَيْ نَ مَا كُنْ تُمْ تَعْبُدُو نَ
Min Dū ni A ll ā hi Hal Yan ş urūnakum 'Aw Yan taş irū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 93).
Besides God? Can they help you, or help themselves?"
026093
مِن ْ دُو نِ ا ل لَّ هِ هَلْ يَنْ صُ رُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْ تَصِ رُو نَ
Fakub kibū Fīhā Hum Wa A l-Gh ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 94).
Then they will be toppled into it, together with the seducers.
026094
فَكُبْ كِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَا لْغَ اوُو نَ
Wa Junū du 'Ib lī sa 'Aj ma`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 95).
And the soldiers of Satan, all of them.
026095
وَجُنُو دُ إِبْ لِي سَ أَجْ مَعُو نَ
Q ālū Wa Hum Fīhā Yakh ş imū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 96).
They will say, as they feud in it.
026096
قَ الُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْ تَصِ مُو نَ
Ta-Allā hi 'In Kunn ā Lafī Đ alā lin Mubī nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 97).
"By God, We were in evident error.
026097
تَاللَّهِ إِن ْ كُنَّ ا لَفِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِي نٍ
'Idh Nusawwī kum Bira bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 98).
For equating you with the Lord of the Worlds.
026098
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Wa Mā 'Ađallanā 'Illā A l-Muj r imū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 99).
No one misled us except the sinners.
026099
وَمَا أَضَ لَّنَا إِلاَّ ا لْمُجْ رِ مُو نَ
Famā Lanā Min Sh āfi`ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 100).
Now we have no intercessors.
026100
فَمَا لَنَا مِن ْ شَافِعِي نَ
Wa Lā Ş adī q in Ĥamī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 101).
And no sincere friend.
026101
وَلاَ صَ دِي قٍ حَمِي مٍ
Falaw 'An na Lanā Karra tan Fanakū na Mina A l-Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 102).
If only we could have another chance, we would be among the faithful."
026102
فَلَوْ أَنّ َ لَنَا كَرَّ ةً فَنَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 103).
Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026103
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 104).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026104
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Kadh dh abat Q aw mu Nūĥin A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 105).
The people of Noah disbelieved the messengers.
026105
كَذَّبَتْ قَ وْ مُ نُو حٍ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh m Nūĥun 'Alā Tattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 106).
Their brother Noah said to them, "Do you not fear?
026106
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ نُو حٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 107).
I am to you a faithful messenger.
026107
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِي نٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 108).
So fear God, and obey me.
026108
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r ī 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 109).
I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.
026109
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ رِ ي إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 110).
So fear God, and obey me."
026110
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Q ālū 'Anu'uminu Laka Wa A A l-'Ardh alū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 111).
They said, "Shall we believe in you, when it is the lowliest who follow you?"
026111
قَ الُو ا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَا ا لأَرْذَلُو نَ
Q ā la Wa Mā `Ilmī Bimā Kānū Ya`malū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 112).
He said, "What do I know about what they do?
026112
قَ ا لَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُو نَ
'In Ĥisābuhum 'Illā `Alá Ra bbī ۖ Law Tash `urū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 113).
Their account rests only with my Lord, if you have sense.
026113
إِن ْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُو نَ
Wa Mā 'Anā Biţ ār idi A l-Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 114).
And I am not about to drive away the believers.
026114
وَمَا أَنَا بِطَ ارِ دِ ا لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ
'In 'Anā 'Illā Nadh ī r un Mubī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 115).
I am only a clear warner."
026115
إِن ْ أَنَا إِلاَّ نَذِي رٌ مُبِي نٌ
Q ālū La'in Lam Tan tahi Yā Nū ĥu Latakūnann a Mina A l-Marjūmī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 116).
They said, "If you do not refrain, O Noah, you will be stoned."
026116
قَ الُوا لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَنْ تَهِ يَانُو حُ لَتَكُونَنّ َ مِنَ ا لْمَرْجُومِي نَ
Q ā la Ra bbi 'Inn a Q awmī Kadh dh abū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 117).
He said, "My Lord, my people have denied me.
026117
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّ إِنَّ قَ وْمِي كَذَّبُو نِ
Fāftaĥ Baynī Wa Baynahum Fatĥāan Wa Najjinī Wa Man Ma`ī Mina A l-Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 118).
So judge between me and them decisively, and deliver me and the believers who are with me.
026118
فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحاً وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن ْ مَعِي مِنَ ا لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ
Fa'an jaynā hu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī A l-Fulki A l-Mash ĥū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 119).
So We delivered him and those with him in the laden Ark.
026119
فَأَن جَيْنَا هُ وَمَن ْ مَعَهُ فِي ا لْفُلْكِ ا لْمَشْحُو نِ
Th umm a 'Agh ra q A l-Bāq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 120).
Then We drowned the rest.
026120
ثُمّ َ أَغْ رَ قْ نَا بَعْدُ ا لْبَاق ِي نَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 121).
In that is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026121
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 122).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026122
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Kadh dh abat `Ā dun A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 123).
Aad disbelieved the messengers.
026123
كَذَّبَتْ عَا دٌ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh m Hū dun 'Alā Tattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 124).
When their brother Hud said to them, "Do you not fear?
026124
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ هُو دٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 125).
I am to you a faithful messenger.
026125
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِي نٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 126).
So fear God, and obey me.
026126
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r ī 'Illā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 127).
I ask of you no payment for this. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.
026127
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ رِ ي إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
'Atab nū na Bikulli R ī `in 'Āyatan Ta`bath ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 128).
Do you build a monument on every height for vanity's sake?
026128
أَتَبْ نُو نَ بِكُلِّ ر ِي عٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُو نَ
Wa Tattakh dh ū na Maş āni`a La`allakum Takh ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 129).
And you set up fortresses, hoping to live forever?
026129
وَتَتَّخِ ذُو نَ مَصَ انِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْ لُدُو نَ
Wa 'Idh ā Baţ ash tum Baţ ash tum Jabbār ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 130).
And when you strike, you strike mercilessly?
026130
وَإِذَا بَطَ شْتُمْ بَطَ شْتُمْ جَبَّارِ ي نَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 131).
So fear God, and obey me.
026131
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa A q ū A l-Ladh ī 'Amaddakum Bimā Ta`lamū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 132).
And reverence Him, who supplied you with everything you know.
026132
وَاتَّقُ وا ا لَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُو نَ
'Amaddakum Bi'an`ā min Wa Banī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 133).
He supplied you with livestock and children.
026133
أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْ عَا مٍ وَبَنِي نَ
Wa Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 134).
And gardens and springs.
026134
وَجَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُو نٍ
'Inn ī 'Akh ā fu `Alaykum `Adh ā ba Yaw min `Ažī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 135).
I fear for you the punishment of an awesome Day."
026135
إِنِّ ي أَخَ ا فُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَا بَ يَوْ مٍ عَظ ِي مٍ
Q ālū Sawā 'un `Alaynā 'Awa`ažta 'Am Lam Takun Mina A l-Wā`ižī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 136).
They said, "It is the same for us, whether you lecture us, or do not lecture.
026136
قَ الُوا سَوَا ءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْ تَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن ْ مِنَ ا لْوَاعِظ ِي نَ
'In Hādh ā 'Illā Kh q u A l-'Awwalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 137).
This is nothing but morals of the ancients.
026137
إِن ْ هَذَا إِلاَّ خُ لُقُ ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adh dh abī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 138).
And we will not be punished."
026138
وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِي نَ
Fakadh dh abū hu Fa'ahlaknāhum ۗ 'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 139).
So they denied him, and We destroyed them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.

فَكَذَّبُو هُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 140).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026140
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Kadh dh abat Th amū du A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 141).
Thamood disbelieved the messengers.
026141
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُو دُ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh m Ş āliĥun 'Alā Tattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 142).
When their brother Saleh said to them, "Do you not fear?
026142
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ صَ الِحٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 143).
I am to you a faithful messenger.
026143
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِي نٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 144).
So fear God, and obey me.
026144
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'I llā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 145).
I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.
026145
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ رِ يَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
'Atutra kū na Fī Mā Hāhunā 'Āminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 146).
Will you be left secure in what is here?
026146
أَتُتْرَ كُو نَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِي نَ
Fī Jann ā tin Wa `Uyū nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 147).
In gardens and springs?
026147
فِي جَنّ َا تٍ وَعُيُو نٍ
Wa Zurū `in Wa Nakh n Ţ al`uhā Hađī mun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 148).
And fields, and palm-trees whose fruits are delicious?
026148
وَزُرُو عٍ وَنَخْ لٍ طَ لْعُهَا هَض ِي مٌ
Wa Tanĥitū na Mina A l-Jibā li Buyūtāan Fār ihī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 149).
And you skillfully carve houses in the mountains?
026149
وَتَنْ حِتُو نَ مِنَ ا لْجِبَا لِ بُيُوتاً فَارِ هِي نَ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 150).
So fear God, and obey me.
026150
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Lā Tuţ ī`ū 'Am ra A l-Musr ifī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 151).
And do not obey the command of the extravagant.

وَلاَ تُطِ يعُو ا أَمْرَ ا لْمُسْرِ فِي نَ
Al-Ladh ī na Yufsidū na Fī A l-'Arđi Wa Lā Yuş liĥū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 152).
Who spread turmoil on earth, and do not reform."
026152
ا لَّذِي نَ يُفْسِدُو نَ فِي ا لأَرْضِ وَلاَ يُصْ لِحُو نَ
Q ālū 'Inn amā 'An ta Mina A l-Musaĥĥar ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 153).
They said, "You are surely one of the bewitched.
026153
قَ الُو ا إِنَّ مَا أَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْمُسَحَّرِ ي نَ
Mā 'An ta 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Fa'ti Bi'ā yatin 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 154).
You are nothing but a man like us. So bring us a sign, if you are truthful.
026154
مَا أَنْ تَ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِق ِي نَ
Q ā la Hadh ihi Nāq atun Lahā Sh ir bun Wa Lakum Sh ir bu Yaw min Ma`lū min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 155).
He said, "This is a she-camel; she has her turn of drinking, and you have your turn of drinking"”on a specified day.
026155
قَ ا لَ هَذِهِ نَاقَ ة ٌ لَهَا شِر ْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِر ْبُ يَوْ مٍ مَعْلُو مٍ
Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū 'in Faya'kh dh akum `Adh ā bu Yaw min `Ažī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 156).
And do not touch her with harm, lest the punishment of a great day seizes you."
026156
وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُو ءٍ فَيَأْخُ ذَكُمْ عَذَا بُ يَوْ مٍ عَظ ِي مٍ
Fa`aq arūhā Fa'aş baĥū Nādimī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 157).
But they slaughtered her, and became full of remorse.
026157
فَعَقَ رُوهَا فَأَصْ بَحُوا نَادِمِي نَ
Fa'akh dh ahumu A l-`Adh ā bu ۗ 'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 158).
So the punishment overtook them. Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026158
فَأَخَ ذَهُمُ ا لْعَذَا بُ ۗ إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 159).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026159
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Kadh dh abat Q aw mu Lūţ in A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 160).
The people of Lot disbelieved the messengers.
026160
كَذَّبَتْ قَ وْ مُ لُو ط ٍ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum 'Akh m Lūţ un 'Alā Tattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 161).
When their brother Lot said to them, "Do you not fear?
026161
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ أَخُ وهُمْ لُو طٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 162).
I am to you a faithful messenger.
026162
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِي نٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 163).
So fear God, and obey me.
026163
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'I llā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 164).
I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.
026164
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ رِ يَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
'Ata'tū na A dh -Dh ukr ā na Mina A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 165).
Do you approach the males of the world?
026165
أَتَأْتُو نَ ا ل ذُّكْرَ ا نَ مِنَ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Wa Tadh arū na Mā Kh q a Lakum Ra bbukum Min 'Azwājikum ۚ Bal 'An tum Q aw mun `Ādū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 166).
And forsake the wives your Lord created for you? Indeed, you are intrusive people."
026166
وَتَذَرُو نَ مَا خَ لَقَ لَكُمْ رَ بُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْ تُمْ قَ وْ مٌ عَادُو نَ
Q ālū La'in Lam Tan tahi Yā Lū ţ u Latakūnann a Mina A l-Mukh ra jī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 167).
They said, "Unless you refrain, O Lot, you will be expelled."
026167
قَ الُوا لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَنْ تَهِ يَا لُو طُ لَتَكُونَنّ َ مِنَ ا لْمُخْ رَ جِي نَ
Q ā la 'Inn ī Li`amalikum Mina A l-Q ālī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 168).
He said, "I certainly deplore your conduct."
026168
قَ ا لَ إِنِّ ي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ ا لْقَ الِي نَ
Ra bbi Najjinī Wa 'Ahlī Mimm ā Ya`malū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 169).
"My Lord, save me and my family from what they do."
026169
رَ بِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّ ا يَعْمَلُو نَ
Fanajjaynā hu Wa 'Ahlahu 'Aj ma`ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 170).
So We saved him and his family, altogether.
026170
فَنَجَّيْنَا هُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْ مَعِي نَ
'Illā `Ajūzāan Fī A l-Gh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 171).
Except for an old woman among those who tarried.
026171
إِلاَّ عَجُوزاً فِي ا لْغَ ابِرِ ي نَ
Th umm a Damm arnā A l-'Ākh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 172).
Then We destroyed the others.
026172
ثُمّ َ دَمَّ رْنَا ا لآخَ رِ ي نَ
Wa 'Am ţ arnā `Alayhim Maţ arā an ۖ Fasā 'a Maţ aru A l-Mun dh ar ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 173).
And We rained down on them a rain. Dreadful is the rain of those forewarned.
026173
وَأَمْطَ رْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَ راً ۖ فَسَا ءَ مَطَ رُ ا لْمُن ذَرِ ي نَ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 174).
Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026174
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 175).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026175
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Kadh dh aba 'Aş ĥā bu A l-'Aykati A l-Mursalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 176).
The People of the Woods disbelieved the messengers.
026176
كَذَّبَ أَصْ حَا بُ ا لأَيْكَةِ ا لْمُرْسَلِي نَ
'Idh Q ā la Lahum Sh u`ay bun 'Alā Tattaq ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 177).
When Shuaib said to them, "Do you not fear?
026177
إِذْ قَ ا لَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْ بٌ أَلاَ تَتَّقُو نَ
'Inn ī Lakum Ra sū lun 'Amī nun (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 178).
I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
026178
إِنِّ ي لَكُمْ رَ سُو لٌ أَمِي نٌ
Fā ttaq ū A ll aha Wa 'Aţ ī`ū ni (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 179).
So fear God, and obey me.
026179
فَاتَّقُ وا ا للَّ هَ وَأَطِ يعُو نِ
Wa Mā 'As'alukum `Alay hi Min 'Aj r in ۖ 'In 'Aj r iya 'I llā `Alá Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 180).
I ask of you no payment for it. My payment is only from the Lord of the Worlds.
026180
وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْ هِ مِنْ أَجْ رٍ ۖ إِن ْ أَجْ رِ يَ إِلاَّ عَلَى رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
'Awfū A l-Kay la Wa Lā Takūnū Mina A l-Mukh r ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 181).
Give full measure, and do not cheat.
026181
أَوْفُوا ا لْكَيْ لَ وَلاَ تَكُونُوا مِنَ ا لْمُخْ سِرِ ي نَ
Wa Zinū Bil-Q isţ ā si A l-Mustaq ī mi (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 182).
And weigh with accurate scales.
026182
وَزِنُوا بِا لْقِ سْطَ ا سِ ا لْمُسْتَق ِي مِ
Wa Lā Tab kh A n -Nā sa 'Ash yā 'ahum Wa Lā Ta`th awā Fī A l-'Arđi Mufsidī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 183).
And do not defraud people of their belongings, and do not work corruption in the land.
026183
وَلاَ تَبْ خَ سُوا ا ل نّ َا سَ أَشْيَا ءَهُمْ وَلاَ تَعْثَوْا فِي ا لأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِي نَ
Wa A q ū A l-Ladh ī Kh q akum Wa A l-Jibillata A l-'Awwalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 184).
And fear Him who created you and the masses of old."
026184
وَاتَّقُ وا ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ كُمْ وَا لْجِبِلَّةَ ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
Q ālū 'Inn amā 'An ta Mina A l-Musaĥĥar ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 185).
They said, "You are one of those bewitched.
026185
قَ الُو ا إِنَّ مَا أَنْ تَ مِنَ ا لْمُسَحَّرِ ي نَ
Wa Mā 'An ta 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Wa 'In Nažunn uka Lamina A l-Kādh ibī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 186).
And you are nothing but a man like us; and we think that you are a liar.
026186
وَمَا أَنْ تَ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِن ْ نَظُ نُّ كَ لَمِنَ ا لْكَاذِبِي نَ
Fa'asq iţ n Mina A s-Samā 'i 'In Kun ta Mina A ş -Ş ādiq ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 187).
So bring down on us pieces from the sky, if you are truthful."
026187
فَأَسْقِ ط ْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفاً مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ إِن ْ كُنْ تَ مِنَ ا ل صَّ ادِق ِي نَ
Q ā la Ra bbī 'A`lamu Bimā Ta`malū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 188).
He said, "My Lord is Well Aware of what you do."
026188
قَ ا لَ رَ بِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُو نَ
Fakadh dh abū hu Fa'akh dh ahum `Adh ā bu Yaw mi A ž-Ž ullati ۚ 'Inn ahu Kā na `Adh ā ba Yaw min `Ažī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 189).
But they denied him. So the punishment of the day of gloom gripped them. It was the punishment of a great day.
026189
فَكَذَّبُو هُ فَأَخَ ذَهُمْ عَذَا بُ يَوْ مِ ا ل ظُّ لَّةِ ۚ إِنَّ هُ كَا نَ عَذَا بَ يَوْ مٍ عَظ ِي مٍ
'Inn a Fī Dh ālika La'ā yatan ۖ Wa Mā Kā na 'Akth aru hum Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 190).
Surely in this is a sign, but most of them are not believers.
026190
إِنّ َ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَا نَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Wa 'Inn a Ra bbaka Lahuwa A l-`Azī zu A r-Ra ĥī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 191).
Your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful.
026191
وَإِنّ َ رَ بَّكَ لَهُوَ ا لْعَزِي زُ ا ل رَّ حِي مُ
Wa 'Inn ahu Latan zī lu Ra bbi A l-`Ālamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 192).
It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
026192
وَإِنَّ هُ لَتَنْ زِي لُ رَ بِّ ا لْعَالَمِي نَ
Nazala Bihi A r-Rū ĥu A l-'Amī nu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 193).
The Honest Spirit came down with it.
026193
نَزَلَ بِهِ ا ل رُّو حُ ا لأَمِي نُ
`Alá Q albika Litakū na Mina A l-Mun dh ir ī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 194).
Upon your heart, that you may be one of the warners.
026194
عَلَى قَ لْبِكَ لِتَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُن ذِرِ ي نَ
Bilisā nin `Ara bī yin Mubī nin (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 195).
In a clear Arabic tongue.

بِلِسَا نٍ عَرَ بِيٍّ مُبِي نٍ
Wa 'Inn ahu Lafī Zubur i A l-'Awwalī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 196).
And it is in the scriptures of the ancients.

وَإِنَّ هُ لَفِي زُبُرِ ا لأَوَّلِي نَ
'Awalam Yakun Lahum 'Āyatan 'An Ya`lamahu `Ulamā 'u Banī 'Isrā 'ī la (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 197).
Is it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel recognized it?
026197
أَوَلَمْ يَكُن ْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَن ْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَا ءُ بَنِي إِسْرَا ئ ِي لَ
Wa Law Nazzalnā hu `Alá Ba`đi A l-'A`jamī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 198).
Had We revealed it to one of the foreigners.
026198
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا هُ عَلَى بَعْضِ ا لأَعْجَمِي نَ
Faq ara 'ahu `Alayhim Mā Kānū Bihi Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 199).
And he had recited it to them, they still would not have believed in it.

فَقَ رَ أَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِي نَ
Kadh ālika Salaknā hu Fī Q ulū bi A l-Muj r imī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 200).
Thus We make it pass through the hearts of the guilty.
026200
كَذَلِكَ سَلَكْنَا هُ فِي قُ لُو بِ ا لْمُجْ رِ مِي نَ
Lā Yu'uminū na Bihi Ĥattá Yara wā A l-`Adh ā ba A l-'Alī ma (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 201).
They will not believe in it until they witness the painful punishment.
026201
لاَ يُؤْمِنُو نَ بِهِ حَتَّى يَرَ وْا ا لْعَذَا بَ ا لأَلِي مَ
Faya'tiyahum Bagh n Wa Hum Lā Yash `urū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 202).
It will come to them suddenly, while they are unaware.
026202
فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْ تَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُو نَ
Fayaq ūlū Hal Naĥnu Mun žarū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 203).
Then they will say, "Are we given any respite?"

فَيَقُ ولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُن ظَ رُو نَ
'Afabi`adh ābinā Yasta`jilū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 204).
Do they seek to hasten Our punishment?
026204
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُو نَ
'Afara 'ay ta 'In Matta`nāhum Sinī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 205).
Have you considered: if We let them enjoy themselves for some years.
026205
أَفَرَ أَيْ تَ إِن ْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِي نَ
Th umm a Jā 'ahum Mā Kānū Yū`adū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 206).
Then there comes to them what they were promised.

ثُمّ َ جَا ءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُو نَ
Mā 'Agh m Mā Kānū Yumatta`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 207).
Of what avail to them will be their past enjoyments?
026207
مَا أَغْ نَى عَنْ هُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُو نَ
Wa Mā 'Ahlaknā Min Q aryatin 'Illā Lahā Mun dh irū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 208).
Never did We destroy a town, but it had warners.
026208
وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن ْ قَ رْيَةٍ إِلاَّ لَهَا مُن ذِرُو نَ
Dh ikrá Wa Mā Kunn ā Ž ālimī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 209).
As a reminder"”We are never unjust.

ذِكْرَ ى وَمَا كُنَّ ا ظَ الِمِي نَ
Wa Mā Tanazzalat Bihi A sh -Sh ayāţ ī nu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 210).
It was not the devils that revealed it.
026210
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ا ل شَّيَاط ِي نُ
Wa Mā Yan bagh m Wa Mā Yastaţ ī`ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 211).
It is not in their interests, nor in their power.
026211
وَمَا يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِ يعُو نَ
'Inn ahum `Ani A s-Sam `i Lama`zūlū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 212).
They are barred from hearing.
026212
إِنَّ هُمْ عَنِ ا ل سَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُو نَ
Falā Tad `u Ma`a A ll āhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākh ra Fatakū na Mina A l-Mu`adh dh abī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 213).
So do not pray to another god with God, else you will be of those tormented.
026213
فَلاَ تَدْ عُ مَعَ ا ل لَّ هِ إِلَهاً آخَ رَ فَتَكُو نَ مِنَ ا لْمُعَذَّبِي نَ
Wa 'An dh ir `Ash īra taka A l-'Aq ra bī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 214).
And warn your close relatives.
026214
وَأَن ذِر ْ عَشِيرَ تَكَ ا لأَقْ رَ بِي نَ
Wa A kh A A l-Mu'uminī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 215).
And lower your wing to those of the believers who follow you.

وَاخْ فِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ا ا لْمُؤْمِنِي نَ
Fa'in `Aş aw ka Faq ul 'Inn ī Bar ī 'un Mimm ā Ta`malū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 216).
And if they disobey you, say, "I am innocent of what you do."
026216
فَإِن ْ عَصَ وْ كَ فَقُ لْ إِنِّ ي بَر ِي ءٌ مِمَّ ا تَعْمَلُو نَ
Wa Tawakkal `Alá A l-`Azī zi A r-Ra ĥī mi (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 217).
And put your trust in the Almighty, the Merciful.

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ا لْعَزِي زِ ا ل رَّ حِي مِ
Al-Ladh ī Yar ā ka Ĥī na Taq ū mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 218).
He Who sees you when you rise.
026218
ا لَّذِي يَرَ ا كَ حِي نَ تَقُو مُ
Wa Taq allubaka Fī A s-Sājidī na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 219).
And your devotions amidst the worshipers.
026219
وَتَقَ لُّبَكَ فِي ا ل سَّاجِدِي نَ
'Inn ahu Huwa A s-Samī `u A l-`Alī mu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 220).
He is indeed the Hearer, the Aware.

إِنَّ هُ هُوَ ا ل سَّمِي عُ ا لْعَلِي مُ
Hal 'Unabbi'ukum `Alá Man Tanazzalu A sh -Sh ayāţ ī nu (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 221).
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?
026221
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَى مَن ْ تَنَزَّلُ ا ل شَّيَاط ِي نُ
Tanazzalu `Alá Kulli 'Affā kin 'Ath ī min (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 222).
They descend upon every sinful liar.

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَى كُلِّ أَفَّا كٍ أَثِي مٍ
Yulq ū na A s-Sam `a Wa 'Akth aru hum Kādh ibū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 223).
They give ear, and most of them are liars.

يُلْقُ و نَ ا ل سَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُو نَ
Wa A sh -Sh u`arā 'u Yattabi`uhumu A l-Gh ū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 224).
And as for the poets"”the deviators follow them.

وَالشُّعَرَا ءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ا لْغَ اوُو نَ
'Alam Tará 'Ann ahum Fī Kulli Wā din Yahīmū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 225).
Do you not see how they ramble in every style?
026225
أَلَمْ تَرَ ى أَنَّ هُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَا ٍ يَهِيمُو نَ
Wa 'Ann ahum Yaq ūlū na Mā Lā Yaf`alū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 226).
And how they say what they do not do?
026226
وَأَنَّ هُمْ يَقُ ولُو نَ مَا لاَ يَفْعَلُو نَ
'Illā A l-Ladh ī na 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū A ş -Ş āliĥā ti Wa Dh akarū A ll aha Kath īrā an Wa A n taş arū Min Ba`di Mā Ž ulimū ۗ Wa Saya`la mu A l-Ladh ī na Ž alamū 'Ay ya Mun q alabin Yan q alibū na (Ash -Sh u`arā ': 227).
