| Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu 'Idhā Ţallaqtumu An-Nisā' Faţalliqūhunna Li`iddatihinna Wa 'Aĥşū Al-`Iddata Wa Attaqū Al-Laha Rabbakum Lā ۖ Tukhrijūhunna Min Buyūtihinna ۖ Wa Lā Yakhrujna 'Illā 'An Ya'tīna Bifāĥishatin Mubayyinatin Wa Tilka Ĥudūdu Al-Lahi Wa Man ۚ Yata`adda Ĥudūda Al-Lahi ۚ Faqad Žalama Nafsahu Lā Tadrī La`alla Al-Laha ۚ Yuĥdithu Ba`da Dhālika 'Amrāan | 065-001* O Prophet, whenever you [and other Muslims] d i v o r c e women, send them away according to their [legal] number and count up the amount [of months carefully], and heed God your Lord. Do not turn them out of their homes, nor should they be forced to leave except when they have committed some flagrant act of sexual misconduct. Such are God's limits, and anyone who oversteps God's limits thereby harms himself. You do not know whether God may let some matter happen later on! | يَاأَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِسَاء فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ وَأَحْصُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ لاَ تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ ۖ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِنَّ وَلاَ ۖ يَخْرُجْنَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ وَتِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يَتَعَدَّ ۚ حُدُودَ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ ۚ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ لاَ تَدْرِي لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ يُحْدِثُ ۚ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَمْرا ً |
| Fa'idhā Balaghna 'Ajalahunna Fa'amsikūhunna Bima`rūfin 'Aw Fāriqūhunna Bima`rūfin Wa 'Ash/hidū Dhaway `Adlin Minkum Wa 'Aqīmū Ash-Shahādata Lillahi ۚ Dhālikum Yū`ažu Bihi Man Kāna Yu'uminu Bil-Lahi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-'Ākhiri ۚ Wa Man Yattaqi Al-Laha Yaj`al Lahu Makhrajāan | 065-002* Thus whenever women reach their deadline, hold on to them in decency, or part from them in decency. Have two impartial persons from among you act as witnesses, and set up a way to witness their testimony before God. That is what anyone who believes in God and the Last Day is instructed to do. God will grant a way out for anyone who heeds Him, | فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَأَشْهِدُوا ذَوَي عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلَّهِ ۚ ذَلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِه ِِ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَه ُ مَخْرَجا ً |
| Wa Yarzuqhu Min Ĥaythu Lā Yaĥtasibu ۚ Wa Man Yatawakkal `Alá Al-Lahi Fahuwa Ĥasbuhu ۚ 'Inna Al-Laha Bālighu 'Amrihi ۚ Qad Ja`ala Al-Lahu Likulli Shay'in Qadrāan | 065-003* and provide for him in a manner he could never anticipate. God suffices for anyone who relies on Him; God will accomplish His purpose. God has granted everything in due proportion. | وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ~ُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِه ِِ ۚ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرا ً |
| Wa Al-Lā'ī Ya'isna Mina Al-Maĥīđi Min Nisā'ikum 'Ini Artabtum Fa`iddatuhunna Thalāthatu 'Ash/hurin Wa Al-Lā'ī Lam Yaĥiđna ۚ Wa 'Ūlātu Al-'Aĥmāli 'Ajaluhunna 'An Yađa`na Ĥamlahunna ۚ Wa Man Yattaqi Al-Laha Yaj`al Lahu Min 'Amrihi Yusrāan | 065-004* If you have any doubt concerning those women of yours who have finished with menstruation, then their count is three months; as it is with the ones who are still not menstruating. With those who are pregnant, their term will be whenever they give birth. God makes His matter easy for anyone who heeds Him. | وَاللاَّئِي يَئِسْنَ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلاَثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَاللاَّئِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ ۚ وَأُوْلاَتُ الأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَه ُ مِنْ أَمْرِه ِِ يُسْرا ً |
| Dhālika 'Amru Al-Lahi 'Anzalahu 'Ilaykum ۚ Wa Man Yattaqi Al-Laha Yukaffir `Anhu Sayyi'ātihi Wa Yu`žim Lahu 'Ajrāan | 065-005* Such is God's command which He sends down to you (all). Anyone who heeds God will have his evil deeds remitted while He will pile up [his] earnings for him. | ذَلِكَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُ~ُ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّئَاتِه ِِ وَيُعْظِمْ لَهُ~ُ أَجْرا ً |
| 'Askinūhunna Min Ĥaythu Sakantum Min Wujdikum Wa Lā Tuđārrūhunna Lituđayyiqū `Alayhinna ۚ Wa 'In Kunna 'Ūlāti Ĥamlin Fa'anfiqū `Alayhinna Ĥattá Yađa`na Ĥamlahunna ۚ Fa'in 'Arđa`na Lakum Fa'ātūhunna 'Ujūrahunna ۖ Wa 'Tamirū Baynakum Bima`rūfin ۖ Wa 'In Ta`āsartum Fasaturđi`u Lahu 'Ukhrá | 065-006* House women wherever you reside, according to your circumstances, and do not harass them in order to make life difficult for them. If they are pregnant, then provide for them until they give birth; while if they are nursing [any babies] for you, then give them their allowances. Discuss things among yourselves in all decency, while if you are hard on one another, then seek another wetnurse for [the father to pay]. | أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ سَكَنتُمْ مِنْ وُجْدِكُمْ وَلاَ تُضَارُّوهُنَّ لِتُضَيِّقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ ۚ وَإِنْ كُنَّ أُولاَتِ حَمْلٍ فَأَنْفِقُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ ۚ فَإِنْ أَرْضَعْنَ لَكُمْ فَآتُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ ۖ وَأْتَمِرُوا بَيْنَكُمْ بِمَعْرُوفٍ ۖ وَإِنْ تَعَاسَرْتُمْ فَسَتُرْضِعُ لَهُ~ُ أُخْرَى |
| Liyunfiq Dhū Sa`atin Min Sa`atihi ۖ Wa Man Qudira `Alayhi Rizquhu Falyunfiq Mimmā 'Ātāhu Al-Lahu ۚ Lā Yukallifu Al-Lahu Nafsāan 'Illā Mā 'Ātāhā ۚ Sayaj`alu Al-Lahu Ba`da `Usrin Yusrāan | 065-007* A man of means should spend out of his means, while anyone whose income must be budgeted more carefully, should spend some of whatever God has granted him. Personal Responsibilty God only holds a person responsible for something He has given him. God will grant ease, following hardship! Salvation (ii) | لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِنْ سَعَتِه ِِ ۖ وَمَنْ قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُه ُ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّا آتَاهُ اللَّهُ ۚ لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسا ً إِلاَّ مَا آتَاهَا ۚ سَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْرا ً |
| Wa Ka'ayyin Min Qaryatin `Atat `An 'Amri Rabbihā Wa Rusulihi Faĥāsabnāhā Ĥisābāan Shadīdāan Wa `Adhdhabnāhā `Adhābāan Nukrāan | 065-008* How many towns have acted insolently towards both their Lord's and His messengers' command, so We summoned them to a stern accounting and punished them with unheard-of torment. | وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِه ِِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَابا ً شَدِيدا ً وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَابا ً نُكْرا ً |
| Fadhāqat Wabāla 'Amrihā Wa Kāna `Āqibatu 'Amrihā Khusrāan | 065-009* They tasted the effect of their action and the outcome of their conduct was perdition. | فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرا ً |
| 'A`adda Al-Lahu Lahum `Adhābāan Shadīdāan Fa ۖ Attaqū Al-Laha Yā 'Ūlī Al-'Albābi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū ۚ Qad 'Anzala Al-Lahu 'Ilaykum Dhikrāan | 065-010* God has prepared severe torment for them, so heed God, you prudent persons who believe; God has sent you down a Reminder | أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَابا ً شَدِيدا ً ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُوْلِي الأَلْبَابِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ قَدْ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْرا ً |
| Rasūlāan Yatlū `Alaykum 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Mubayyinātin Liyukhrija Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Mina Až-Žulumāti 'Ilá An-Nūri ۚ Wa Man Yu'umin Bil-Lahi Wa Ya`mal Şāliĥāan Yudkhilhu Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā 'Abadāan ۖ Qad 'Aĥsana Al-Lahu Lahu Rizqāan | 065-011* through a messenger reciting God's clear verses, so He may remove those who believe and perform honorable deeds from darkness into Light. God will show anyone who believes in Him and acts honorably into gardens through which rivers flow, to live there for ever. What a handsome provision God has granted him! Divine Law | رَسُولا ً يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ مُبَيِّنَاتٍ لِيُخْرِجَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَالِحا ً يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدا ً ۖ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ لَه ُ رِزْقا ً |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Sab`a Samāwātin Wa Mina Al-'Arđi Mithlahunna Yatanazzalu Al-'Amru Baynahunna Lita`lamū 'Anna Al-Laha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun Wa 'Anna Al-Laha Qad 'Aĥāţa Bikulli Shay'in `Ilmāan | 065-012* God is the One Who created seven heavens, and the same [number of planets] which are like the earth. The Command prevails among them so you (all) may know that God is Capable of everything. God comprises everything in knowledge! | اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَمِنَ الأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْما ً |
