| Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi | 045-002* The revelation of the Book [happens] through God, the Powerful, the Wise; | تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| 'Inna Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi La'āyātin Lilmu'uminīna | 045-003* there are signs in Heaven and Earth for believers. | إِنَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَات ٍ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Fī Khalqikum Wa Mā Yabuththu Min Dābbatin 'Āyātun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | 045-004* In your own creation as well as how animals are propagated there are signs for folk who are convinced. | وَفِي خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِنْ دَابَّة ٍ آيَات ٌ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ |
| Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Mā 'Anzala Al-Lahu Mina As-Samā'i Min Rizqin Fa'aĥyā Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā Wa Taşrīfi Ar-Riyāĥi 'Āyātun Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | 045-005* The alternation of night and daylight, and any sustenance God sends down from the sky with which He revives the earth after its death, and the wheeling of the winds are signs for folk who use their reason. | وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ رِزْق ٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ آيَات ٌ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Lahi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`da Al-Lahi Wa 'Āyātihi Yu'uminūna | 045-006* Those are God's signs which We recite to you for the Truth, so in what report will you believe if not in God and His signs? | تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيث ٍ بَعْدَ اللَّهِ وَآيَاتِه ِِ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Waylun Likulli 'Affākin 'Athīmin | 045-007* How awful will it be for every shamming sinner | وَيْل ٌ لِكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيم ٍ |
| Yasma`u 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Tutlá `Alayhi Thumma Yuşirru Mustakbirāan Ka'an Lam Yasma`hā ۖ Fabashshirhu Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin | 045-008* who hears God's signs recited to him, then proudly persists as if he had never heard them. Announce some painful torment to him! | يَسْمَعُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرا ً كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ |
| Wa 'Idhā `Alima Min 'Āyātinā Shay'āan Attakhadhahā Huzūan ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun | 045-009* Whenever he learns anything about Our signs, he takes them as a joke. Those shall have shameful torment: | وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا شَيْئا ً اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوا ً ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ |
| Min Warā'ihim Jahannamu ۖ Wa Lā Yughnī `Anhum Mā Kasabū Shay'āan Wa Lā Mā Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'Awliyā'a ۖ Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun | 045-010* beyond them there lies Hell. Anything they have earned will not help them out at all, nor will anything they have adopted as patrons instead of God, They will have awful torment | مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلاَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا شَيْئا ً وَلاَ مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ |
| Hādhā Hudáan Wa ۖ Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Lahum `Adhābun Min Rijzin 'Alīmun | 045-011* This means guidance, while those who disbelieve in your Lord's signs will have painful punishment as a blight. (II) | هَذَا هُدى ً ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِنْ رِجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Baĥra Litajriya Al-Fulku Fīhi Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna | 045-012* God is the One Who has subjected the sea to you, so that ships may sail on it at His command and you may seek His bounty and even feel grateful, | اللَّهُ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ فِيه ِِ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Wa Sakhkhara Lakum Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Minhu ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | 045-013* He has subjected whatever is in Heaven and whatever is on Earth to you; it all comes from Him. In that are signs for folk who think things over. | وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Qul Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Yaghfirū Lilladhīna Lā Yarjūna 'Ayyāma Al-Lahi Liyajziya Qawmāan Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna | 045-014* Tell those who believe to forgive the ones who do not expect [to see] God's days, so He may reward a folk according to whatever it has earned. | قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَغْفِرُوا لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ اللَّهِ لِيَجْزِيَ قَوْما ً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Falinafsihi ۖ Wa Man 'Asā'a Fa`alayhā ۖ Thumma 'Ilá Rabbikum Turja`ūna | 045-015* Anyone who acts honorably, acts on his own behalf; while whoever commits evil will find it stands against him; then to Lord shall you (all) return. The Children of Israel | مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَلِنَفْسِه ِِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Banī 'Isrā'īla Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Al-`Ālamīna | 045-016* We already gave the Children of Israel the Book, discretion and prophethood, and We provided them with wholesome things and let excel over [everyone in] the Universe. | وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa 'Ātaynāhum Bayyinātin Mina Al-'Amri ۖ Famā Akhtalafū 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum ۚ 'Inna Rabbaka Yaqđī Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | 045-017* We gave them explanations about the Matter. They only disagreed after knowledge had come to them, out of envy towards one another. Your Lord will judge among them on Resurrection Day concerning anything they may have been differing over. | وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ بَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا اخْتَلَفُوا إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيا ً بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِي بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Thumma Ja`alnāka `Alá Sharī`atin Mina Al-'Amri Fa Attabi`hā Wa Lā Tattabi` 'Ahwā'a Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna | 045-018* Next We placed you on a highroad [to receive] the command, so follow along it and do not follow the whims of those who do not know. | ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَى شَرِيعَةٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Innahum Lan Yughnū `Anka Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan ۚ Wa 'Inna Až-Žālimīna Ba`đuhum 'Awliyā'u Ba`đin Wa ۖ Allāhu Wa Līyu Al-Muttaqīna | 045-019* They will never help you out in any way against God; some wrongdoers act as patrons for others, while God is Patron of those who do their duty. | إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُغْنُوا عَنكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً ۚ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ |
| Hādhā Başā'iru Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | 045-020* These are insights for mankind, as well as guidance and mercy for folk who are convinced. | هَذَا بَصَائِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدى ً وَرَحْمَة ٌ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ |
| 'Am Ĥasiba Al-Ladhīna Ajtaraĥū As-Sayyi'āti 'An Naj`alahum Kālladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Sawā'an Maĥyāhum Wa Mamātuhum ۚ Sā'a Mā Yaĥkumūna | 045-021* Or do those who commit evil deeds reckon that We will treat them exactly like those who believe and perform honorable actions, just as if their mode of living and their way of dying were equivalent? How lamely do they judge! (III) | أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ نَجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَوَاء ً مَحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ |
| Wa Khalaqa Al-Lahu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Litujzá Kullu Nafsin Bimā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | 045-022* God has created Heaven and Earth for a true purpose, and so every soul may be rewarded for whatever it has earned, and they will not be harmed. | وَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| 'Afara'ayta Mani Attakhadha 'Ilahahu Hawāhu Wa 'Ađallahu Al-Lahu `Alá `Ilmin Wa Khatama `Alá Sam`ihi Wa Qalbihi Wa Ja`ala `Alá Başarihi Ghishāwatan Faman Yahdīhi Min Ba`di Al-Lahi ۚ 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna | 045-023* Have you seen someone who has taken his passion as his god? God knowingly lets him go astray and seals off his hearing and his heart, and places a covering over his eyesight. Who will guide him instead of God? Will you not reflect [on this]? Secularism | أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَه ُ هَوَاه ُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَى سَمْعِه ِِ وَقَلْبِه ِِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَى بَصَرِه ِِ غِشَاوَة ً فَمَنْ يَهْدِيه ِِ مِنْ بَعْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلاَ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Wa Qālū Mā Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā Ad-Dunyā Namūtu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Yuhlikunā 'Illā Ad-Dahru ۚ Wa Mā Lahum Bidhālika Min `Ilmin ۖ 'In Hum 'Illā Yažunnūna | 045-024* They say: "Nothing exists except our worldly life! We die and live, and only fate destroys us?" They have no knowledge about that; they are only supposing. | وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلاَّ حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلاَّ الدَّهْرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَظُنُّونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Mā Kāna Ĥujjatahum 'Illā 'An Qālū A'tū Bi'ābā'inā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | 045-025* Whenever Our clear verses are recited to them, their argument is merely to say: "Bring back our forefathers if you are so truthful." | وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ مَا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Quli Al-Lahu Yuĥyīkum Thumma Yumītukum Thumma Yajma`ukum 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna | 045-026* SAY: "God gives you life; then brings you death. Next He will bring you (all) together on Resurrection Day; there is no doubt about it." Yet most men do not realize it. The Final Hour The Doom of Nations (IV) | قُلِ اللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۚ Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yawma'idhin Yakhsaru Al-Mubţilūna | 045-027* God holds control over Heaven and Earth, and the day when the Hour will take place. On that day, quibblers will lose out! | وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ |
| Wa Tará Kulla 'Ummatin Jāthiyatan ۚ Kullu 'Ummatin Tud`á 'Ilá Kitābihā Al-Yawma Tujzawna Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | 045-028* You will see, every nation crouching; each nation will be called [to appear] before its book: "Today you will be rewarded for whatever you have been doing. | وَتَرَى كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَة ً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَى إِلَى كِتَابِهَا الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Hādhā Kitābunā Yanţiqu `Alaykum Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ 'Innā Kunnā Nastansikhu Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | 045-029* This book of Ours will pronounce the Truth about you; We have been recording whatever you have been doing. | هَذَا كِتَابُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fayudkhiluhum Rabbuhum Fī Raĥmatihi ۚ Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-Mubīnu | 045-030* Their Lord will admit those into His mercy who believe and perform honorable deeds; that will be the clear Achievement. | فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِه ِِ ۚ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Afalam Takun 'Āyātī Tutlá `Alaykum Fāstakbartum Wa Kuntum Qawmāan Mujrimīna | 045-031* As for the ones who disbelieve: "Were not My signs recited to you, and yet you acted proudly and were such criminal folk? | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْما ً مُجْرِمِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Qīla 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa As-Sā`atu Lā Rayba Fīhā Qultum Mā Nadrī Mā As-Sā`atu 'In Nažunnu 'Illā Žannāan Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimustayqinīna | 045-032* When someone said that God's promise is true and there is no doubt about the Hour, you (all) said: 'We do not know what the Hour is. We are only making a conjecture, and we are not convinced!'" | وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُمْ مَا نَدْرِي مَا السَّاعَةُ إِنْ نَظُنُّ إِلاَّ ظَنّا ً وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ |
| Wa Badā Lahum Sayyi'ātu Mā `Amilū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn | 045-033* The evil deeds they have committed will appear before them while whatever they were joking about will sweep in around them. | وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون |
| Wa Qīla Al-Yawma Nansākum Kamā Nasītum Liqā'a Yawmikum Hādhā Wa Ma'wākumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Nāşirīna | 045-034* Someone will say: 'Today we shall forget you just as you forgot about a Meeting on this day of yours. Your lodging will be the Fire; you have no supporters! | وَقِيلَ الْيَوْمَ نَنسَاكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| Dhālikum Bi'annakum Attakhadhtum 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Huzūan Wa Gharratkumu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā ۚ Fālyawma Lā Yukhrajūna Minhā Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna | 045-035* That is because you took God's signs for a joke. Worldly life has lured you on." Today they will not be allowed to leave there nor will they be permitted to argue back. | ذَلِكُمْ بِأَنَّكُمْ اتَّخَذْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوا ً وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ لاَ يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلاَ هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ |
| Falillāhi Al-Ĥamdu Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Rabbi Al-'Arđi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | 045-036* Yet God merits praise as Lord of Heaven and Lord of Earth; even as Lord of the Universe! | فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبِّ الأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa Lahu Al-Kibriyā'u Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۖ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | 045-037* He holds greatness in Heaven and Earth; He is the Powerful, the Wise! | وَلَهُ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
