| 'Alif-Lām-Mīm-Rā Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Wa Al-Ladhī 'Unzila 'Ilayka Min Rabbika Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Yu'uminūna | 013-001. Alif Lam Mim Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and that which is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe. | أَلِف-لَام-مِيم-رَا تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَالَّذِي أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ الْحَقُّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Allāhu Al-Ladhī Rafa`a As-Samāwāti Bighayri `Amadin Tarawnahā Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Kullun Yajrī Li'jalin Musammáan Yudabbiru Al-'Amra Yufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti La`allakum Biliqā'i Rabbikum Tūqinūna | 013-002. Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain of meeting your Lord. | اللَّهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَد ٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلّ ٌ يَجْرِي لِأجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً يُدَبِّرُ الأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ |
| Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Madda Al-'Arđa Wa Ja`ala Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anhārāan Wa Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti Ja`ala Fīhā Zawjayni Athnayni Yughshī Al-Layla An-Nahāra 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | 013-003. And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits He has made in it two kinds; He makes the night cover the day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect. | وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَدَّ الأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْهَارا ً وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Wa Fī Al-'Arđi Qiţa`un Mutajāwirātun Wa Jannātun Min 'A`nābin Wa Zar`un Wa Nakhīlun Şinwānun Wa Ghayru Şinwānin Yusqá Bimā'in Wāĥidin Wa Nufađđilu Ba`đahā `Alá Ba`đin Fī Al-'Ukuli 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | 013-004. And in the earth there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and (others) having distinct roots-- they are watered with one water, and We make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand. | وَفِي الأَرْضِ قِطَع ٌ مُتَجَاوِرَات ٌ وَجَنَّات ٌ مِنْ أَعْنَاب ٍ وَزَرْع ٌ وَنَخِيل ٌ صِنْوَان ٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَان ٍ يُسْقَى بِمَاء ٍ وَاحِد ٍ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْض ٍ فِي الأُكُلِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Wa 'In Ta`jab Fa`ajabun Qawluhum 'A'idhā Kunnā Turābāan 'A'innā Lafī Khalqin Jadīdin 'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Birabbihim Wa 'Ūlā'ika Al-'Aghlālu Fī 'A`nāqihim Wa 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna | 013-005. And if you would wonder, then wondrous is their saying: What! when we are dust, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? These are they who disbelieve in their Lord, and these have chains on their necks, and they are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide. | وَإِنْ تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَب ٌ قَوْلُهُمْ أَئِذَا كُنَّا تُرَاباً أَئِنَّا لَفِي خَلْق ٍ جَدِيدٍ أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَأُوْلَائِكَ الأَغْلاَلُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَأُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Wa Yasta`jilūnaka Bis-Sayyi'ati Qabla Al-Ĥasanati Wa Qad Khalat Min Qablihimu Al-Mathulātu Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Ladhū Maghfiratin Lilnnāsi `Alá Žulmihim Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lashadīdu Al-`Iqābi | 013-006. And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil). | وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمُ الْمَثُلاَتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَة ٍ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi 'Āyatun Min Rabbihi 'Innamā 'Anta Mundhirun Wa Likulli Qawmin Hādin | 013-007. And those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? You are only a warner and (there is) a guide for every people. | وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ~ِ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنذِر ٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَاد ٍ |
| Allāhu Ya`lamu Mā Taĥmilu Kullu 'Unthá Wa Mā Taghīđu Al-'Arĥāmu Wa Mā Tazdādu Wa Kullu Shay'in `Indahu Bimiqdārin | 013-008. Allah knows what every female bears, and that of which the wombs fall short of completion and that in which they increase; and there is a measure with Him of everything. | اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَى وَمَا تَغِيضُ الأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَه ُُ بِمِقْدَار ٍ |
| `Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati Al-Kabīru Al-Muta`ālī | 013-009. The knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High. | عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعَالِي |
| Sawā'un Minkum Man 'Asarra Al-Qawla Wa Man Jahara Bihi Wa Man Huwa Mustakhfin Bil-Layli Wa Sāribun Bin-Nahāri | 013-010. Alike (to Him) among you is he who conceals (his) words and he who speaks them openly, and he who hides himself by night and (who) goes forth by day. | سَوَاء ٌ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أَسَرَّ الْقَوْلَ وَمَنْ جَهَرَ بِه ِِ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْف ٍ بِاللَّيْلِ وَسَارِب ٌ بِالنَّهَارِ |
| Lahu Mu`aqqibātun Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi Yaĥfažūnahu Min 'Amri Allāhi 'Inna Allāha Lā Yughayyiru Mā Biqawmin Ĥattá Yughayyirū Mā Bi'anfusihim Wa 'Idhā 'Arāda Allāhu Biqawmin Sū'āan Falā Maradda Lahu Wa Mā Lahum Min Dūnihi Min Wa A- | 013-011. For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector. | لَه ُُ مُعَقِّبَات ٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِه ِِ يَحْفَظُونَه ُُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْم ٍ سُوءا ً فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَه ُُ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مِنْ وَال ٍ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Yurīkumu Al-Barqa Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan Wa Yunshi'u As-Saĥāba Ath-Thiqāla | 013-012. He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud. | هُوَ الَّذِي يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفا ً وَطَمَعا ً وَيُنْشِئُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ |
| Wa Yusabbiĥu Ar-Ra`du Biĥamdihi Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Min Khīfatihi Wa Yursilu Aş-Şawā`iqa Fayuşību Bihā Man Yashā'u Wa Hum Yujādilūna Fī Allāhi Wa Huwa Shadīdu Al-Miĥāli | 013-013. And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess. | وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِه ِِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِه ِِ وَيُرْسِلُ الصَّوَاعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُمْ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي اللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ الْمِحَالِ |
| Lahu Da`watu Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūnihi Lā Yastajībūna Lahum Bishay'in 'Illā Kabāsiţi Kaffayhi 'Ilá Al-Mā'i Liyablugha Fāhu Wa Mā Huwa Bibālighihi Wa Mā Du`ā'u Al-Kāfirīna 'Illā Fī Đalālin | 013-014. To Him is due the true prayer; and those whom they pray to besides Allah give them no answer, but (they are) like one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that it may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it; and the prayer of the unbelievers is only in error. | لَه ُُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُمْ بِشَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاه ُُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَالِغِه ِِ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ |
| Wa Lillahi Yasjudu Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Ţaw`āan Wa Karhāan Wa Žilāluhum Bil-Ghudūwi Wa Al-'Āşāli | 013-015. And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve. | وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعا ً وَكَرْها ً وَظِلاَلُهُمْ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ |
| Qul Man Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Quli Allāhu Qul 'Afāttakhadhtum Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'a Lā Yamlikūna Li'nfusihim Naf`āan Wa Lā Đarrāan Qul Hal Yastawī Al-'A`má Wa Al-Başīru 'Am Hal Tastawī Až-Žulumātu Wa An-Nūr 'Am Ja`alū Lillāhi Shurakā'a Khalaqū Kakhalqihi Fatashābaha Al-Khalqu `Alayhim Quli Allāhu Khāliqu Kulli Shay'in Wa Huwa Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru | 013-016. Say: Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?-- Say: Allah. Say: Do you take then besides Him guardians who do not control any profit or harm for themselves? Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme. | قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لاَ يَمْلِكُونَ لِأنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعا ً وَلاَ ضَرّا ً قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّور أَمْ جَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُوا كَخَلْقِه ِِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ |
| 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fasālat 'Awdiyatun Biqadarihā Fāĥtamala As-Saylu Zabadāan Rābīāan Wa Mimmā Yūqidūna `Alayhi Fī An-Nāri Abtighā'a Ĥilyatin 'Aw Matā`in Zabadun Mithluhu Kadhālika Yađribu Allāhu Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Al-Bāţila Fa'ammā Az-Zabadu Fayadh/habu Jufā'an Wa 'Ammā Mā Yanfa`u An-Nāsa Fayamkuthu Fī Al-'Arđi Kadhālika Yađribu Allāhu Al-'Amthāla | 013-017. He sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables. | أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَة ٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحْتَمَلَ السَّيْلُ زَبَدا ً رَابِيا ً وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَاع ٍ زَبَد ٌ مِثْلُه ُُ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاء ً وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الأَرْضِ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الأَمْثَالَ |
| Lilladhīna Astajābū Lirabbihimu Al-Ĥusná Wa Al-Ladhīna Lam Yastajībū Lahu Law 'Anna Lahum Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Wa Mithlahu Ma`ahu Lāftadaw Bihi 'Ūlā'ika Lahum Sū'u Al-Ĥisābi Wa Ma'wāhum Jahannamu Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu | 013-018. For those who respond to their Lord is good; and (as for) those who do not respond to Him, had they all that is in the earth and the like thereof with it they would certainly offer it for a ransom. (As for) those, an evil reckoning shall be theirs and their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place. | لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمُ الْحُسْنَى وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَه ُُ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُمْ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً وَمِثْلَه ُُ مَعَهُ لاَفْتَدَوْا بِهِ~ِ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ |
| 'Afaman Ya`lamu 'Annamā 'Unzila 'Ilayka Min Rabbika Al-Ĥaqqu Kaman Huwa 'A`má 'Innamā Yatadhakkaru 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi | 013-019. Is he then who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth like him who is blind? Only those possessed of understanding will mind, | أَفَمَنْ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ الْحَقُّ كَمَنْ هُوَ أَعْمَى إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yūfūna Bi`ahdi Allāhi Wa Lā Yanquđūna Al-Mīthāqa | 013-020. Those who fulfil the promise of Allah and do not break the covenant, | الَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَلاَ يَنقُضُونَ الْمِيثَاقَ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna Yaşilūna Mā 'Amara Allāhu Bihi 'An Yūşala Wa Yakhshawna Rabbahum Wa Yakhāfūna Sū'a Al-Ĥisābi | 013-021. And those who join that which Allah has bidden to be joined and have awe of their Lord and fear the evil reckoning. | وَالَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوءَ الْحِسَابِ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Abtighā'a Wajhi Rabbihim Wa 'Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Anfaqū Mimmā Razaqnāhum Sirrāan Wa `Alāniyatan Wa Yadra'ūna Bil-Ĥasanati As-Sayyi'ata 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Uqbá Ad-Dāri | 013-022. And those who are constant, seeking the pleasure of their Lord, and keep up prayer and spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them secretly and openly and repel evil with good; as for those, they shall have the (happy) issue of the abode | وَالَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرّا ً وَعَلاَنِيَة ً وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ |
| Jannātu `Adnin Yadkhulūnahā Wa Man Şalaĥa Min 'Ābā'ihim Wa 'Azwājihim Wa Dhurrīyātihim Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Yadkhulūna `Alayhim Min Kulli Bābin | 013-023. The gardens of perpetual abode which they will enter along with those who do good from among their parents and their spouses and their offspring; and the angels will enter in upon them from every gate: | جَنَّاتُ عَدْن ٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ بَاب ٍ |
| Salāmun `Alaykum Bimā Şabartum Fani`ma `Uqbá Ad-Dāri | 013-024. Peace be on you because you were constant, how excellent, is then, the issue of the abode. | سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna Yanquđūna `Ahda Allāhi Min Ba`di Mīthāqihi Wa Yaqţa`ūna Mā 'Amara Allāhu Bihi 'An Yūşala Wa Yufsidūna Fī Al-'Arđi 'Ūlā'ika Lahumu Al-La`natu Wa Lahum Sū'u Ad-Dāri | 013-025. And those who break the covenant of Allah after its confirmation and cut asunder that which Allah has ordered to be joined and make mischief in the land; (as for) those, upon them shall be curse and they shall have the evil (issue) of the abode. | وَالَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مِيثَاقِه ِِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ |
| Allāhu Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru Wa Fariĥū Bil-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fī Al-'Ākhirati 'Illā Matā`un | 013-026. Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases; and they rejoice in this world's life, and this world's life is nothing compared with the hereafter but a temporary enjoyment. | اللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ وَفَرِحُوا بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ مَتَاع ٌ |
| Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi 'Āyatun Min Rabbihi Qul 'Inna Allāha Yuđillu Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī 'Ilayhi Man 'Anāba | 013-027. And those who disbelieve say: Why is not a sign sent down upon him by his Lord? Say: Surely Allah makes him who will go astray, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him). | وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّه ِِ قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ |
| Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Taţma'innu Qulūbuhum Bidhikri Allāhi 'Alā Bidhikri Allāhi Taţma'innu Al-Qulūbu | 013-028. Those who believe and whose hearts are set at rest by the remembrance of Allah; now surely by Allah's remembrance are the hearts set at rest. | الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ |
| Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Ţūbá Lahum Wa Ĥusnu Ma'ābin | 013-029. (As for) those who believe and do good, a good final state shall be theirs and a goodly return. | الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ طُوبَى لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَآب ٍ |
| Kadhālika 'Arsalnāka Fī 'Ummatin Qad Khalat Min Qablihā 'Umamun Litatluwa `Alayhimu Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Wa Hum Yakfurūna Bir-Raĥmani Qul Huwa Rabbī Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi Matābi | 013-030. And thus We have sent you among a nation before which other nations have passed away, that you might recite to them what We have revealed to you and (still) they deny the Beneficent God. Say: He is my Lord, there is no god but He; on Him do I rely and to Him is my return. | كَذَلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ فِي أُمَّة ٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا أُمَم ٌ لِتَتْلُوَ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِالرَّحْمَنِ قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّي لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ |
| Wa Law 'Anna Qur'ānāan Suyyirat Bihi Al-Jibālu 'Aw Quţţi`at Bihi Al-'Arđu 'Aw Kullima Bihi Al-Mawtá Bal Lillāhi Al-'Amru Jamī`āan 'Afalam Yay'asi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'An Law Yashā'u Allāhu Lahadá An-Nāsa Jamī`āan Wa Lā Yazālu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Tuşībuhum Bimā Şana`ū Qāri`atun 'Aw Taĥullu Qarībāan Min Dārihim Ĥattá Ya'tiya Wa`du Allāhi 'Inna Allāha Lā Yukhlifu Al-Mī`āda | 013-031. And even if there were a Quran with which the mountains were made to pass away, or the earth were travelled over with it, or the dead were made to speak thereby; nay! the commandment is wholly Allah's, Have not yet those who believe known that if Allah please He would certainly guide all the people? And (as for) those who disbelieve, there will not cease to afflict them because of what they do a repelling calamity, or it will alight close by their abodes, until the promise of Allah comes about; surely Allah will not fail in (His) promise. | وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنا ً سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى بَلْ لِلَّهِ الأَمْرُ جَمِيعاً أَفَلَمْ يَيْئَسِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ لَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيعا ً وَلاَ يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا تُصِيبُهُمْ بِمَا صَنَعُوا قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبا ً مِنْ دَارِهِمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ وَعْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ |
| Wa Laqadi Astuhzi'a Birusulin Min Qablika Fa'amlaytu Lilladhīna Kafarū Thumma 'Akhadhtuhum Fakayfa Kāna `Iqābi | 013-032. And apostles before you were certainly mocked at, but I gave respite to those who disbelieved, then I destroyed them; how then was My requital (of evil)? | وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُل ٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ |
| 'Afaman Huwa Qā'imun `Alá Kulli Nafsin Bimā Kasabat Wa Ja`alū Lillāhi Shurakā'a Qul Sammūhum 'Am Tunabbi'ūnahu Bimā Lā Ya`lamu Fī Al-'Arđi 'Am Bižāhirin Mina Al-Qawli Bal Zuyyina Lilladhīna Kafarū Makruhum Wa Şuddū `Ani As-Sabīli Wa Man Yuđlili Allāhu Famā Lahu Min Hādin | 013-033. Is He then Who watches every soul as to what it earns? And yet they give associates to Allah! Say: Give them a name; nay, do you mean to inform Him of what He does not know in the earth, or (do you affirm this) by an outward saying? Rather, their plans are made to appear fair-seeming to those who disbelieve, and they are kept back from the path; and whom Allah makes err, he shall have no guide. | أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْس ٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ قُلْ سَمُّوهُمْ أَمْ تُنَبِّئُونَه ُُ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي الأَرْضِ أَمْ بِظَاهِر ٍ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ بَلْ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مَكْرُهُمْ وَصُدُّوا عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ هَاد ٍ |
| Lahum `Adhābun Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Ashaqqu Wa Mā Lahum Mina Allāhi Min Wāqin | 013-034. They shall have chastisement in this world's life, and the chastisement of the hereafter is certainly more grievous, and they shall have no protector against Allah. | لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاق ٍ |
| Mathalu Al-Jannati Allatī Wu`ida Al-Muttaqūna Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru 'Ukuluhā Dā'imun Wa Žilluhā Tilka `Uqbá Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Wa `Uqbá Al-Kāfirīna An-Nāru | 013-035. A likeness of the garden which the righteous are promised; there now beneath it rivers, its food and shades are perpetual; this is the requital of those who guarded (against evil), and the requital of the unbelievers is the fire. | مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ أُكُلُهَا دَائِم ٌ وَظِلُّهَا تِلْكَ عُقْبَى الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَعُقْبَى الْكَافِرِينَ النَّارُ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Ātaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Yafraĥūna Bimā 'Unzila 'Ilayka Wa Mina Al-'Aĥzābi Man Yunkiru Ba`đahu Qul 'Innamā 'Umirtu 'An 'A`buda Allāha Wa Lā 'Ushrika Bihi 'Ilayhi 'Ad`ū Wa 'Ilayhi Ma'ābi | 013-036. And those to whom We have given the Book rejoice in that which has been revealed to you, and of the confederates are some who deny a part of it. Say: I am only commanded that I should serve Allah and not associate anything with Him, to Him do I invite (you) and to Him is my return. | وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنَ الأَحْزَابِ مَنْ يُنكِرُ بَعْضَه ُُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَلاَ أُشْرِكَ بِهِ~ِ إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُو وَإِلَيْهِ مَآبِ |
| Wa Kadhalika 'Anzalnāhu Ĥukmāan `Arabīyāan Wa La'ini Attaba`ta 'Ahwā'ahum Ba`damā Jā'aka Mina Al-`Ilmi Mā Laka Mina Allāhi Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Wāqin | 013-037. And thus have We revealed it, a true judgment in Arabic, and if you follow their low desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you shall not have against Allah any guardian or a protector. | وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ حُكْماً عَرَبِيّا ً وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَمَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيّ ٍ وَلاَ وَاق ٍ |
| Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Rusulāan Min Qablika Wa Ja`alnā Lahum 'Azwājāan Wa Dhurrīyatan Wa Mā Kāna Lirasūlin 'An Ya'tiya Bi'āyatin 'Illā Bi'idhni Allāhi Likulli 'Ajalin Kitābun | 013-038. And certainly We sent apostles before you and gave them wives and children, and it is not in (the power of) an apostle to bring a sign except by Allah's permission; for every term there is an appointment. | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلا ً مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَاجا ً وَذُرِّيَّة ً وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِآيَة ٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ لِكُلِّ أَجَل ٍ كِتَاب ٌ |
| Yamĥū Allāhu Mā Yashā'u Wa Yuthbitu Wa `Indahu 'Ummu Al-Kitābi | 013-039. Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the basis of the Book. | يَمْحُوا اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ وَعِنْدَهُ~ُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ |
| Wa 'In Mā Nuriyannaka Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Na`iduhum 'Aw Natawaffayannaka Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Wa `Alaynā Al-Ĥisābu | 013-040. And We will either let you see part of what We threaten them with or cause you to die, for only the delivery of the message is (incumbent) on you, while calling (them) to account is Our (business). | وَإِنْ مَا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ |
| 'Awalam Yaraw 'Annā Na'tī Al-'Arđa Nanquşuhā Min 'Aţrāfihā Wa Allāhu Yaĥkumu Lā Mu`aqqiba Liĥukmihi Wa Huwa Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi | 013-041. Do they not see that We are bringing destruction upon the land by curtailing it of its sides? And Allah pronounces a doom-- there is no repeller of His decree, and He is swift to take account. | أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا وَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لاَ مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِه ِِ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ |
| Wa Qad Makara Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Falillāhi Al-Makru Jamī`āan Ya`lamu Mā Taksibu Kullu Nafsin Wa Saya`lamu Al-Kuffāru Liman `Uqbá Ad-Dāri | 013-042. And those before them did indeed make plans, but all planning is Allah's; He knows what every soul earns, and the unbelievers shall come to know for whom is the (better) issue of the abode. | وَقَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلَّهِ الْمَكْرُ جَمِيعا ً يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الْكُفَّارُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ |
| Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lasta Mursalāan Qul Kafá Billāhi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum Wa Man `Indahu `Ilmu Al-Kitābi | 013-043. And those who disbelieve say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book. | وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَسْتَ مُرْسَلا ً قُلْ كَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدا ً بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِنْدَه ُُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ |
