Waylun Likulli Humazatin Lumazahin  | 104.001 Woe unto every slandering traducer, | وَيْل ٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَة ٍ لُمَزَة ٍ |
Al-Ladhī Jama`a Mālāan Wa `Addadahu  | 104.002 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. | الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالا ً وَعَدَّدَهُ |
Yaĥsabu 'Anna Mālahu 'Akhladahu  | 104.003 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. | يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ~ُ أَخْلَدَهُ |
Kallā Layunbadhanna Fī Al-Ĥuţamahi  | 104.004 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. | كَلاَّ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ |
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Al-Ĥuţamahu  | 104.005 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ |
Nāru Allāhi Al-Mūqadahu  | 104.006 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, | نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ |
Allatī Taţţali`u `Alá Al-'Af'idahi  | 104.007 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). | الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الأَفْئِدَةِ |
'Innahā `Alayhim Mu'uşadahun  | 104.008 Lo! it is closed in on them | إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤصَدَة ٌ |
Fī `Amadin Mumaddadahin  | 104.009 In outstretched columns. | فِي عَمَد ٍ مُمَدَّدَة ٍ |
