| Al-Qāri`ahu | 101.001 The Calamity! | الْقَارِعَةُ |
| Mā Al-Qāri`ahu | 101.002 What is the Calamity ? | مَا الْقَارِعَةُ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Al-Qāri`ahu | 101.003 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is! | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ |
| Yawma Yakūnu An-Nāsu Kālfarāshi Al-Mabthūthi | 101.004 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths | يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ |
| Wa Takūnu Al-Jibālu Kāl`ihni Al-Manfūshi | 101.005 And the mountains will become as carded wool. | وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنفُوشِ |
| Fa'ammā Man Thaqulat Mawāzīnuhu | 101.006 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), | فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ |
| Fahuwa Fī `Īshatin Rāđiyahin | 101.007 He will live a pleasant life. | فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَة ٍ رَاضِيَة ٍ |
| Wa 'Ammā Man Khaffat Mawāzīnuhu | 101.008 But as for him whose scales are light, | وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ |
| Fa'ummuhu Hāwiyahun | 101.009 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, | فَأُمُّه ُُ هَاوِيَة ٌ |
| Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Hiyah | 101.010 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ |
| Nārun Ĥāmiyahun | 101.011 Raging Fire. | نَارٌ حَامِيَة ٌ |
