حَا-مِيم |
Wa Al-Kitābi Al-Mubīni (Ad-Dukhān: 2).
|
044.002 By the Scripture that maketh plain
|
وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ |
'Innā 'Anzalnāhu Fī Laylatin Mubārakatin ۚ 'Innā Kunnā Mundhirīna (Ad-Dukhān: 3).
|
044.003 Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning -
|
إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ |
Fīhā Yufraqu Kullu 'Amrin Ĥakīmin (Ad-Dukhān: 4).
|
044.004 Whereon every wise command is made clear
|
فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ |
'Amrāan Min `Indinā ۚ 'Innā Kunnā Mursilīna (Ad-Dukhān: 5).
|
044.005 As a command from Our presence - Lo! We are ever sending -
|
أَمْراً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ |
Raĥmatan Min Rabbika ۚ 'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu (Ad-Dukhān: 6).
|
044.006 A mercy from thy Lord. Lo! He, even He is the Hearer, the Knower,
|
رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā ۖ 'In Kuntum Mūqinīna (Ad-Dukhān: 7).
|
044.007 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye would be sure.
|
رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ |
Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu ۖ Rabbukum Wa Rabbu 'Ābā'ikumu Al-'Awwalīna (Ad-Dukhān: 8).
|
044.008 There is no God save Him. He quickeneth and giveth death; your Lord and Lord of your forefathers.
|
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الأَوَّلِينَ |
Bal Hum Fī Shakkin Yal`abūna (Ad-Dukhān: 9).
|
044.009 Nay, but they play in doubt.
|
بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ |
Fārtaqib Yawma Ta'tī As-Samā'u Bidukhānin Mubīnin (Ad-Dukhān: 10).
|
044.010 But watch thou (O Muhammad) for the day when the sky will produce visible smoke
|
فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُبِينٍ |
Yaghshá An-Nāsa ۖ Hādhā `Adhābun 'Alīmun (Ad-Dukhān: 11).
|
044.011 That will envelop the people. This will be a painful torment.
|
يَغْشَى النَّاسَ ۖ هَذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ |
Rabbanā Akshif `Annā Al-`Adhāba 'Innā Mu'uminūna (Ad-Dukhān: 12).
|
044.012 (Then they will say): Our Lord relieve us of the torment. Lo! we are believers.
|
رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ |
'Anná Lahumu Adh-Dhikrá Wa Qad Jā'ahum Rasūlun Mubīnun (Ad-Dukhān: 13).
|
044.013 How can there be remembrance for them, when a messenger making plain (the Truth) had already come unto them,
|
أَنَّى لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَى وَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ |
Thumma Tawallawā `Anhu Wa Qālū Mu`allamun Majnūnun (Ad-Dukhān: 14).
|
044.014 And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman ?
|
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَجْنُونٌ |
'Innā Kāshifū Al-`Adhābi Qalīlāan ۚ 'Innakum `Ā'idūna (Ad-Dukhān: 15).
|
044.015 Lo! We withdraw the torment a little. Lo! ye return (to disbelief).
|
إِنَّا كَاشِفُوا الْعَذَابِ قَلِيلاً ۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَائِدُونَ |
Yawma Nabţishu Al-Baţshata Al-Kubrá 'Innā Muntaqimūna (Ad-Dukhān: 16).
|
044.016 On the day when We shall seize them with the greater seizure, (then) in truth We shall punish.
|
يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ الْبَطْشَةَ الْكُبْرَى إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ |
Wa Laqad Fatannā Qablahum Qawma Fir`awna Wa Jā'ahum Rasūlun Karīmun (Ad-Dukhān: 17).
|
044.017 And verily We tried before them Pharaoh's folk, when there came unto them a noble messenger,
|
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ |
'An 'Addū 'Ilayya `Ibāda Allāhi ۖ 'Innī Lakum Rasūlun 'Amīnun (Ad-Dukhān: 18).
|
044.018 Saying: Give up to me the slaves of Allah. Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you.
|
أَنْ أَدُّوا إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ |
Wa 'An Lā Ta`lū `Alá Allāhi ۖ 'Innī 'Ātīkum Bisulţānin Mubīnin (Ad-Dukhān: 19).
|
044.019 And saying: Be not proud against Allah. Lo! I bring you a clear warrant.
|
وَأَنْ لاَ تَعْلُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي آتِيكُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ |
Wa 'Innī `Udhtu Birabbī Wa Rabbikum 'An Tarjumūni (Ad-Dukhān: 20).
|
044.020 And lo! I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me to death.
|
وَإِنِّي عُذْتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ أَنْ تَرْجُمُونِ |
Wa 'In Lam Tu'uminū Lī Fā`tazilūni (Ad-Dukhān: 21).
|
044.021 And if ye put no faith in me, then let me go.
|
وَإِنْ لَمْ تُؤْمِنُوا لِي فَاعْتَزِلُونِ |
Fada`ā Rabbahu 'Anna Hā'uulā' Qawmun Mujrimūna (Ad-Dukhān: 22).
|
044.022 And he cried unto his Lord, (saying): These are guilty folk.
|
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنَّ هَاؤُلاَء قَوْمٌ مُجْرِمُونَ |
Fa'asri Bi`ibādī Laylāan 'Innakum Muttaba`ūna (Ad-Dukhān: 23).
|
044.023 Then (his Lord commanded): Take away My slaves by night. Lo! ye will be followed,
|
فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيْلاً إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ |
Wa Atruki Al-Baĥra Rahwan ۖ 'Innahum Jundun Mughraqūna (Ad-Dukhān: 24).
|
044.024 And leave the sea behind at rest, for lo! they are a drowned host.
|
وَاتْرُكِ الْبَحْرَ رَهْواً ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُغْرَقُونَ |
Kam Tarakū Min Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin (Ad-Dukhān: 25).
|
044.025 How many were the gardens and the watersprings that they left behind,
|
كَمْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
Wa Zurū`in Wa Maqāmin Karīmin (Ad-Dukhān: 26).
|
044.026 And the cornlands and the goodly sites
|
وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ |
Wa Na`matin Kānū Fīhā Fākihīna (Ad-Dukhān: 27).
|
044.027 And pleasant things wherein they took delight!
|
وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُوا فِيهَا فَاكِهِينَ |
Kadhālika ۖ Wa 'Awrathnāhā Qawmāan 'Ākharīna (Ad-Dukhān: 28).
|
044.028 Even so (it was), and We made it an inheritance for other folk;
|
كَذَلِكَ ۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا قَوْماً آخَرِينَ |
Famā Bakat `Alayhimu As-Samā'u Wa Al-'Arđu Wa Mā Kānū Munžarīna (Ad-Dukhān: 29).
|
044.029 And the heaven and the earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.
|
فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنظَرِينَ |
Wa Laqad Najjaynā Banī 'Isrā'īla Mina Al-`Adhābi Al-Muhīni (Ad-Dukhān: 30).
|
044.030 And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom;
|
وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْمُهِينِ |
Min Fir`awna ۚ 'Innahu Kāna `Ālīāan Mina Al-Musrifīna (Ad-Dukhān: 31).
|
044.031 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones.
|
مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَالِياً مِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
Wa Laqadi Akhtarnāhum `Alá `Ilmin `Alá Al-`Ālamīna (Ad-Dukhān: 32).
|
044.032 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures.
|
وَلَقَدِ اخْتَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
Wa 'Ātaynāhum Mina Al-'Āyāti Mā Fīhi Balā'un Mubīnun (Ad-Dukhān: 33).
|
044.033 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial.
|
وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الآيَاتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلاَءٌ مُبِينٌ |
'Inna Hā'uulā' Layaqūlūna (Ad-Dukhān: 34).
|
044.034 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying:
|
إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء لَيَقُولُونَ |
'In Hiya 'Illā Mawtatunā Al-'Ūlá Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimunsharīna (Ad-Dukhān: 35).
|
044.035 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again.
|
إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ مَوْتَتُنَا الأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ |
Fa'tū Bi'ābā'inā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna (Ad-Dukhān: 36).
|
044.036 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth!
|
فَأْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
'Ahum Khayrun 'Am Qawmu Tubba`in Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim ۚ 'Ahlaknāhum ۖ 'Innahum Kānū Mujrimīna (Ad-Dukhān: 37).
|
044.037 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them ? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty.
|
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ |
Wa Mā Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Lā`ibīna (Ad-Dukhān: 38).
|
044.038 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play.
|
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لاَعِبِينَ |
Mā Khalaqnāhumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna (Ad-Dukhān: 39).
|
044.039 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not.
|
مَا خَلَقْنَاهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
'Inna Yawma Al-Faşli Mīqātuhum 'Ajma`īna (Ad-Dukhān: 40).
|
044.040 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them,
|
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ |
Yawma Lā Yughnī Mawlan `An Mawlan Shay'āan Wa Lā Hum Yunşarūna (Ad-Dukhān: 41).
|
044.041 A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped,
|
يَوْمَ لاَ يُغْنِي مَوْلىً عَنْ مَوْلىً شَيْئاً وَلاَ هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |
'Illā Man Raĥima Allāhu ۚ 'Innahu Huwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu (Ad-Dukhān: 42).
|
044.042 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
|
إِلاَّ مَنْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
'Inna Shajarata Az-Zaqqūmi (Ad-Dukhān: 43).
|
044.043 Lo! the tree of Zaqqum,
|
إِنَّ شَجَرَةَ الزَّقُّومِ |
Ţa`āmu Al-'Athīmi (Ad-Dukhān: 44).
|
044.044 The food of the sinner!
|
طَعَامُ الأَثِيمِ |
Kālmuhli Yaghlī Fī Al-Buţūni (Ad-Dukhān: 45).
|
044.045 Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies
|
كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ |
Kaghalyi Al-Ĥamīmi (Ad-Dukhān: 46).
|
044.046 As the seething of boiling water.
|
كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ |
Khudhūhu Fā`tilūhu 'Ilá Sawā'i Al-Jaĥīmi (Ad-Dukhān: 47).
|
044.047 (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell,
|
خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَى سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ |
Thumma Şubbū Fawqa Ra'sihi Min `Adhābi Al-Ĥamīmi (Ad-Dukhān: 48).
|
044.048 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water.
|
ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ |
Dhuq 'Innaka 'Anta Al-`Azīzu Al-Karīmu (Ad-Dukhān: 49).
|
044.049 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble!
|
ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ |
'Inna Hādhā Mā Kuntum Bihi Tamtarūna (Ad-Dukhān: 50).
|
044.050 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt.
|
إِنَّ هَذَا مَا كُنتُمْ بِهِ تَمْتَرُونَ |
'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Maqāmin 'Amīnin (Ad-Dukhān: 51).
|
044.051 Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured.
|
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ |
Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin (Ad-Dukhān: 52).
|
044.052 Amid gardens and watersprings,
|
فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ |
Yalbasūna Min Sundusin Wa 'Istabraqin Mutaqābilīna (Ad-Dukhān: 53).
|
044.053 Attired in silk and silk embroidery, facing one another.
|
يَلْبَسُونَ مِنْ سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ |
Kadhālika Wa Zawwajnāhum Biĥūrin `Īnin (Ad-Dukhān: 54).
|
044.054 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes.
|
كَذَلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ |
Yad`ūna Fīhā Bikulli Fākihatin 'Āminīna (Ad-Dukhān: 55).
|
044.055 They call therein for every fruit in safety.
|
يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ آمِنِينَ |
Lā Yadhūqūna Fīhā Al-Mawta 'Illā Al-Mawtata Al-'Ūlá ۖ Wa Waqāhum `Adhāba Al-Jaĥīmi (Ad-Dukhān: 56).
|
044.056 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell,
|
لاَ يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا الْمَوْتَ إِلاَّ الْمَوْتَةَ الأُولَى ۖ وَوَقَاهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ |
Fađlāan Min Rabbika ۚ Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu (Ad-Dukhān: 57).
|
044.057 A bounty from thy Lord. That is the supreme triumph.
|
فَضْلاً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ |
Fa'innamā Yassarnāhu Bilisānika La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna (Ad-Dukhān: 58).
|
044.058 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed.
|
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ |
Fārtaqib 'Innahum Murtaqibūna (Ad-Dukhān: 59).
|
044.059 Wait then (O Muhammad). Lo! they (too) are waiting.
|
فَارْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُمْ مُرْتَقِبُونَ |
