'Alif-Lām- ۚ Kitābun 'Uĥkimat 'Āyātuhu Thumma Fuşşilat Min Ladun Ĥakīmin Khabīrin (Hūd: 1). 011.001 Alif. Lam. Ra. (This is) a Scripture the revelations whereof are perfected and then expounded. (It cometh) from One Wise, Informed, أَلِف-لَام-‍‍‍رَ‌ا‌ ۚ كِت‍‍َابٌ ‌أُحْكِمَتْ ‌آيَاتُهُ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ فُ‍‍صِّ‍‍لَتْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ لَدُ‌ن‌ْ حَك‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٍ خَ‍‍بِي‍‍ر‍‍ٍ‍
'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha ۚ 'Innanī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Wa Bashīrun (Hūd: 2). 011.002 (Saying): Serve none but Allah. Lo! I am unto you from Him a warner and a bringer of good tidings. أَلاَّ‌ تَعْبُدُ‌وا ‌إِلاَّ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍نِي لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ‌وَبَشِيرٌ
Wa 'Ani Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi Yumatti`kum Matā`āan Ĥasanāan 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musamman Wa Yu'uti Kulla Dhī Fađlin Fađlahu ۖ Wa 'In Tawallawā Fa'innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin Kabīrin (Hūd: 3). 011.003 And (bidding you): Ask pardon of your Lord and turn to Him repentant. He will cause you to enjoy a fair estate until a time appointed. He giveth His bounty unto every bountiful one. But if ye turn away, lo! (then) I fear for you the retribution of an awful Day. وَ‌أَنِ ‌اسْتَ‍‍‍‍غْ‍‍فِرُ‌وا ‌‍رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ يُمَتِّعْكُمْ مَتَاعاً‌ حَسَناً ‌إِلَ‍‍ى أَجَلٍ مُسَ‍‍مّ‍‍ىً ‌وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ‌ذِي فَ‍‍ضْ‍‍لٍ فَ‍‍ضْ‍‍لَهُ ۖ ‌وَ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ تَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ فَإِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‍خَ‍افُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَ‍‍وْمٍ كَبِي‍‍ر‍‍ٍ‍
'Ilá Allāhi Marji`ukum ۖ Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun (Hūd: 4). 011.004 Unto Allah is your return, and He is Able to do all things. إِلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ۖ ‌وَهُوَ‌ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَ‍‍يْء‌‌ٍ قَ‍‍دِيرٌ
'Alā 'Innahum Yathnūna Şudūrahum Liyastakhfū Minhu ۚ 'Alā Ĥīna Yastaghshūna Thiyābahum Ya`lamu Mā Yusirrūna Wa Mā Yu`linūna ۚ 'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri (Hūd: 5). 011.005 Lo! now they fold up their breasts that they may hide (their thoughts) from Him. At the very moment when they cover themselves with their clothing, Allah knoweth that which they keep hidden and that which they proclaim. Lo! He is Aware of what is in the breasts (of men). أَلاَ إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ يَثْن‍‍ُ‍ونَ صُ‍‍دُ‌و‌‍رَهُمْ لِيَسْتَ‍‍خْ‍‍فُوا مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ۚ ‌أَلاَ‌ ح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَسْتَ‍‍غْ‍‍ش‍‍ُ‍ونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا‌ يُسِ‍‍ر‍‍ّ‍‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌وَمَا‌ يُعْلِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ عَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍م‌‍ٌ بِذ‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍دُ‌و‌رِ
Wa Mā Min Dābbatin Al-'Arđi 'Illā `Alá Allāhi Rizquhā Wa Ya`lamu Mustaqarrahā Wa Mustawda`ahā ۚ Kullun Fī Kitābin Mubīnin (Hūd: 6). 011.006 And there is not a beast in the earth but the sustenance thereof dependeth on Allah. He knoweth its habitation and its repository. All is in a clear Record. وَمَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌رِ‌زْقُ‍‍هَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَ‍‍قَ‍رَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْ‌دَعَهَا‌ ۚ كُلٌّ فِي كِت‍‍َابٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Wa Kāna `Arshuhu `Alá Al-Mā'i Liyabluwakum 'Ayyukum 'Aĥsanu `Amalāan ۗ Wa La'in Qulta 'Innakum Mabthūna Min Ba`di Al-Mawti Layaqūlanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun (Hūd: 7). 011.007 And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was upon the water - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is naught but mere magic. وَهُوَ ‌الَّذِي خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ ‌أَيّ‍‍َامٍ ‌وَك‍‍َانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى‌ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ لِيَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُوَكُمْ ‌أَيُّكُمْ ‌أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً ۗ ‌وَلَئِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قُ‍‍لْتَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كُمْ مَ‍‍بْ‍‍عُوث‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ بَعْدِ‌ ‌الْمَ‍‍وْتِ لَيَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولَ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ هَذَ‌ا إِلاَّ‌ سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa La'in 'Akhkharnā `Anhumu Al-`Adhāba 'Ilá 'Ummatin Ma`dūdatin Layaqūlunna Mā Yaĥbisuhu ۗ 'Alā Yawma Ya'tīhim Laysa Maşrūfāan `Anhum Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn (Hūd: 8). 011.008 And if We delay for them the doom until a reckoned time, they will surely say: What withholdeth it ? Verily on the day when it cometh unto them, it cannot be averted from them, and that which they derided will surround them. وَلَئِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‍‍خَّ‍‍رْنَا‌ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ ‌إِلَ‍‍ى أُمَّ‍‍ةٍ مَعْدُ‌و‌دَةٍ لَيَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ‍‍نّ‌َ مَا‌ يَحْبِسُهُ ۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ يَ‍‍وْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ مَ‍‍صْ‍‍رُ‌وفاً‌ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ‌وَح‍‍َاقَ بِهِمْ مَا‌ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئ‍‍ُ‍‍ون
Wa La'in 'Adhaq Al-'Insāna Minnā Raĥmatan Thumma Naza`nāhā Minhu 'Innahu Laya'ūsun Kafūrun (Hūd: 9). 011.009 And if we cause man to taste some mercy from Us and afterward withdraw it from him, lo! he is despairing, thankless. وَلَئِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ذَ‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍نَا‌ ‌الإِ‌ن‍‍س‍‍َانَ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا ‍رَحْمَةً ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ نَزَعْنَاهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَيَئ‍‍ُ‍وسٌ كَفُو‌رٌ
Wa La'in 'Adhaqnāhu Na`mā'a Ba`da Đarrā'a Massat/hu Layaqūlanna Dhahaba As-Sayyi'ātu `Annī ۚ 'Innahu Lafariĥun Fakhūrun (Hūd: 10). 011.010 And if We cause him to taste grace after some misfortune that had befallen him, he saith: The ills have gone from me. Lo! he is exultant, boastful; وَلَئِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ذَ‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍ن‍‍َاهُ نَعْم‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ بَعْدَ ضَ‍‍رّ‍َ‌اءَ‌ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولَ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌ذَهَبَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتُ عَ‍‍نِّ‍‍ي ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَفَ‍‍رِحٌ فَ‍‍خُ‍‍و‌رٌ
'Illā Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Ūlā'ika Lahum Maghfiratun Wa 'Ajrun Kabīrun (Hūd: 11). 011.011 Save those who persevere and do good works. Theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. إِلاَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ صَ‍‍بَرُ‌وا ‌وَعَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍الِح‍‍َاتِ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ لَهُمْ مَ‍‍غْ‍‍فِ‍رَةٌ ‌وَ‌أَجْ‍‍رٌ كَبِيرٌ
Fala`allaka Tārikun Ba`đa Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayka Wa Đā'iqun Bihi Şadruka 'An Yaqūlū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi Kanzun 'Aw Jā'a Ma`ahu Malakun ۚ 'Innamā 'Anta Nadhīrun ۚ Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Wa Kīlun (Hūd: 12). 011.012 A likely thing, that thou wouldst forsake aught of that which hath been revealed unto thee, and that thy breast should be straitened for it, because they say: Why hath not a treasure been sent down for him, or an angel come with him ? Thou art but a warner, and Allah is in charge of all things. فَلَعَلَّكَ تَا‌رِك‌‍ٌ بَعْ‍‍‍‍ضَ مَا‌ يُوحَ‍‍ى إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌وَ‍ضَ‍‍ائِ‍‍قٌ بِهِ صَ‍‍دْ‌رُكَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ يَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُوا لَوْلاَ أُ‌ن‍‍زِلَ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ كَ‍‌‍ن‍‍زٌ أَ‌وْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ مَعَهُ مَلَكٌ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ۚ ‌وَ‌اللَّهُ عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ ‌وَكِيلٌ
'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu ۖ Qul Fa'tū Bi`ashri Suwarin Mithlihi Muftarayātin Wa Ad`ū Mani Astaţa`tum Min Dūni Allāhi 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna (Hūd: 13). 011.013 Or they say: He hath invented it. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful! أَمْ يَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌افْتَ‍رَ‍‌اهُ ۖ قُ‍‍لْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْ‍‍رِ سُوَ‌ر‌ٍ مِثْلِهِ مُفْتَ‍رَي‍‍َاتٍ ‌وَ‌ا‌دْعُوا مَنِ ‌اسْتَ‍‍طَ‍‍عْتُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ صَ‍‍ا‌دِ‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Fa'illam Yastajībū Lakum Fā`lamū 'Annamā 'Unzila Bi`ilmi Allāhi Wa 'An Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa ۖ Fahal 'Antum Muslimūna (Hūd: 14). 011.014 And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no God save Him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender ? فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُ‍‍وا ‌أَنَّ‍‍مَ‍‍ا أُ‌ن‍‍زِلَ بِعِلْمِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ لاَ إِلَهَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ هُوَ ۖ فَهَلْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā Wa Zīnatahā Nuwaffi 'Ilayhim 'A`mālahum Fīhā Wa Hum Fīhā Lā Yubkhasūna (Hūd: 15). 011.015 Whoso desireth the life of the world and its pomp, We shall repay them their deeds herein, and therein they will not be wronged. مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ك‍‍َانَ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ‌ ‌الْحَي‍‍َاةَ ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا وَ‌زِينَتَهَا‌ نُوَفِّ ‌إِلَيْهِمْ ‌أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا‌ لاَ‌ يُ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍‍‍خَ‍‍سُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Laysa Lahum Al-'Ākhirati 'Illā An-Nāru ۖ Wa Ĥabiţa Mā Şana`ū Fīhā Wa Bāţilun Mā Kānū Ya`malūna (Hūd: 16). 011.016 Those are they for whom is naught in the Hereafter save the Fire. (All) that they contrive here is vain and (all) that they are wont to do is fruitless. أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ لَهُمْ فِي ‌الآ‍‍‍‍خِ‍رَةِ ‌إِلاَّ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ‌ ۖ ‌وَحَبِ‍‍طَ مَا‌ صَ‍‍نَعُوا فِيهَا وَبَاطِ‍‍لٌ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
'Afaman Kāna `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbihi Wa Yatlūhu Shāhidun Minhu Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Yu'uminūna Bihi ۚ Wa Man Yakfur Bihi Mina Al-'Aĥzābi Fālnnāru Maw`iduhu ۚ Falā Takun Fī Miryatin Minhu ۚ 'Innahu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Yu'uminūna (Hūd: 17). 011.017 Is he (to be counted equal with them) who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him reciteth it, and before it was the Book of Moses, an example and a mercy ? Such believe therein, and whoso disbelieveth therein of the clans, the Fire is his appointed place. So be not thou in doubt concerning it. Lo! it is the Truth from thy Lord; but most of mankind believe not. أَفَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ك‍‍َانَ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍‍‍رَبِّهِ ‌وَيَتْل‍‍ُ‍وهُ شَاهِدٌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِهِ كِت‍‍َابُ مُوسَ‍‍ى إِمَاماً ‌وَ‌‍رَحْمَةً ۚ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ بِهِ ۚ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَكْفُرْ‌ بِهِ مِنَ ‌الأَحْز‍َ‍‌ابِ فَال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ‌ مَوْعِدُهُ ۚ فَلاَ‌ تَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فِي مِ‍‍ر‌ْيَةٍ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ ‌الْحَ‍‍قُّ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّكَ ‌وَلَكِ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌أَكْثَ‍رَ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Allāhi Kadhibāan ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Yu`rađūna `Alá Rabbihim Wa Yaqūlu Al-'Ash/hādu Hā'uulā' Al-Ladhīna Kadhabū `Alá Rabbihim ۚ 'Alā La`natu Allāhi `Alá Až-Žālimīna (Hūd: 18). 011.018 Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah ? Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: These are they who lied concerning their Lord. Now the curse of Allah is upon wrong-doers, وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‍‍ظْ‍‍لَمُ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍نِ ‌افْتَ‍رَ‌ى‌ عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ كَذِباً‌ ۚ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ يُعْ‍رَضُ‍‍ونَ عَلَى ‍رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَيَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ ‌الأَشْه‍‍َا‌دُ‌ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى ‍رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ‌أَلاَ‌ لَعْنَةُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ عَلَى‌ ‌ال‍‍ظَّ‍‍الِمِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Yaşuddūna `An Sabīli Allāhi Wa Yabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa Hum Bil-'Ākhirati Hum Kāfirūna (Hūd: 19). 011.019 Who debar (men) from the way of Allah and would have it crooked, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ يَ‍‍‍‍صُ‍‍دّ‍ُ‍‌ونَ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَيَ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍غُ‍‍ونَهَا‌ عِوَجاً ‌وَهُمْ بِ‍الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُ‌ونَ
'Ūlā'ika Lam Yakūnū Mu`jizīna Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Kāna Lahum Min Dūni Allāhi Min 'Awliyā'a ۘ Yuđā`afu Lahumu Al-`Adhābu ۚ Mā Kānū Yastaţī`ūna As-Sam`a Wa Mā Kānū Yubşirūna (Hūd: 20). 011.020 Such will not escape in the earth, nor have they any protecting friends beside Allah. For them the torment will be double. They could not bear to hear, and they used not to see. أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا مُعْجِز‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْ‍‍ضِ ‌وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ لَهُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌وْلِي‍‍َا‌ءَ ۘ يُ‍‍ضَ‍‍اعَفُ لَهُمُ ‌الْعَذ‍َ‍‌ابُ ۚ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَسْتَ‍‍طِ‍‍يع‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍سَّمْعَ ‌وَمَا‌ كَانُوا يُ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍صِ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Khasirū 'Anfusahum Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna (Hūd: 21). 011.021 Such are they who have lost their souls, and that which they used to invent hath failed them. أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ خَ‍‍سِرُ‌وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ ‌وَ‍ضَ‍‍لَّ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ مَا‌ كَانُوا يَفْتَرُ‌ونَ
Lā Jarama 'Annahum Al-'Ākhirati Humu Al-'Akhsarūna (Hūd: 22). 011.022 Assuredly in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. لاَ‌ جَ‍‍‍رَمَ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُمْ فِي ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ هُمُ ‌الأَ‍خْ‍‍سَرُ‌ونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa 'Akhbatū 'Ilá Rabbihim 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati ۖ Hum Fīhā Khālidūna (Hūd: 23). 011.023 Lo! those who believe and do good works and humble themselves before their Lord: such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein. إِنّ‌َ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا ‌وَعَمِلُوا ‌ال‍‍‍‍‍صَّ‍‍الِح‍‍َاتِ ‌وَ‌أَ‍خْ‍‍بَتُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَى ‍رَبِّهِمْ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْل‍‍َائِكَ ‌أَ‍صْ‍‍ح‍‍َابُ ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا‌ خَ‍‍الِدُ‌ونَ
Mathalu Al-Farīqayni Kāl'a`má Wa Al-'Aşammi Wa Al-Başīri Wa As-Samī`i ۚ Hal Yastawiyāni Mathalāan ۚ 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna (Hūd: 24). 011.024 The similitude of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in similitude ? Will ye not then be admonished ? مَثَلُ ‌الْفَ‍‍رِي‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ كَالأَعْمَى وَ‌الأَ‍صَ‍‍مِّ ‌وَ‌الْبَ‍‍صِ‍‍ي‍‍رِ وَ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍عِ ۚ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي‍‍َانِ مَثَلاً‌ ۚ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَذَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmihi 'Innī Lakum Nadhīrun Mubīnun (Hūd: 25). 011.025 And We sent Noah unto his folk (and he said): Lo! I am a plain warner unto you. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ نُوحاً ‌إِلَى‌ قَ‍‍وْمِهِ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي لَكُمْ نَذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ مُبِينٌ
'An Lā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha ۖ 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin 'Alīmin (Hūd: 26). 011.026 That ye serve none, save Allah. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of a painful Day. أَ‌ن‌ْ لاَ‌ تَعْبُدُ‌وا ‌إِلاَّ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ۖ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‍‍خَ‍افُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَ‍‍وْمٍ ‌أَلِيمٍ
Faqāla Al-Mala'u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Qawmihi Mā Narāka 'Illā Bashaan Mithlanā Wa Mā Narāka Attaba`aka 'Illā Al-Ladhīna Hum 'Adhilunā Bādiya Ar-Ra'yi Wa Mā Nará Lakum `Alaynā Min Fađlin Bal Nažunnukumdhibīna (Hūd: 27). 011.027 The chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: We see thee but a mortal like us, and we see not that any follow thee save the most abject among us, without reflection. We behold in you no merit above us - nay, we deem you liars. فَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌الْمَلَأُ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ كَفَرُ‌وا مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍وْمِهِ مَا‌ نَ‍رَ‍‌اكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بَشَر‌اً مِثْلَنَا وَمَا‌ نَ‍رَ‍‌اكَ ‌اتَّبَعَكَ ‌إِلاَّ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ هُمْ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌ا‌ذِلُنَا‌ بَا‌دِيَ ‌ال‍رَّ‌أْيِ ‌وَمَا‌ نَ‍رَ‌ى‌ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ فَ‍‍ضْ‍‍لٍ بَلْ نَ‍‍ظُ‍‍نُّ‍‍كُمْ كَا‌ذِبِينَ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa 'Ātānī Raĥmatan Min `Indihi Fa`ummiyat `Alaykum 'Anulzimukumūhā Wa 'Antum Lahā Kārihūna (Hūd: 28). 011.028 He said: O my people! Bethink you, if I rely on a clear proof from my Lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from His presence, and it hath been made obscure to you, can we compel you to accept it when ye are averse thereto ? قَ‍الَ يَاقَ‍‍وْمِ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّي ‌وَ‌آتَانِي ‌‍رَحْمَةً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دِهِ فَعُ‍‍مِّ‍‍يَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ ‌أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ لَهَا‌ كَا‌رِهُونَ
Wa Yāqawmi Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi Mālāan 'In ۖ 'Ajriya 'Illā `Alá Allāhi Wa Mā ۚ 'Anā Biţāridi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Innahum ۚ Mulāqū Rabbihim Wa Lakinnī 'Akum Qawmāan Tajhalūna (Hūd: 29). 011.029 And O my people! I ask of you no wealth therefor. My reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe - Lo! they have to meet their Lord! - but I see you a folk that are ignorant. وَيَا‍‍قَ‍‍وْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ مَالاً ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ۖ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَمَ‍‍اۚ ‌أَنَا‌ بِ‍‍طَ‍‍ا‌رِ‌دِ‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُ‍‍وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ ۚ مُلاَقُ‍‍و ‍رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَلَكِ‍‍نِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌اكُمْ قَ‍‍وْماً تَ‍‍جْ‍‍هَلُونَ
Wa Yāqawmi Man Yanşurunī Mina Allāhi 'In Ţaradtuhum 'Afalā ۚ Tadhakkarūna (Hūd: 30). 011.030 And, O my people! who would deliver me from Allah if I thrust them away ? Will ye not then reflect ? وَيَا‍‍قَ‍‍وْمِ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍صُ‍‍رُنِي مِنَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ طَ‍رَ‌دْتُهُمْ ‌أَفَلاَ ۚ تَذَكَّرُ‌ونَ
Wa Lā 'Aqūlu Lakum `InKhazā'inu Allāhi Wa Lā 'A`lamu Al-Ghayba Wa Lā 'Aqūlu 'Innī Malakun Wa Lā 'Aqūlu Lilladhīna Tazdarī 'A`yunukum Lan Yu'utiyahumu Allāhu Khayan ۖ Al-Lahu 'A`lamu Bimā Fī 'Anfusihim ۖ 'Innī 'Idhāan Lamina Až-Žālimīna (Hūd: 31). 011.031 I say not unto you: "I have the treasures of Allah" nor "I have knowledge of the Unseen," nor say I: "Lo! I am an angel!" Nor say I unto those whom your eyes scorn that Allah will not give them good - Allah knoweth best what is in their hearts - Lo! then indeed I should be of the wrong-doers. وَلاَ أَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ لَكُمْ عِ‍‌‍ن‍‍دِي خَ‍‍ز‍َ‍‌ائِنُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ ‌الْ‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍‍بَ ‌وَلاَ أَقُ‍‍ولُ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي مَلَكٌ ‌وَلاَ أَقُ‍‍ولُ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ تَزْ‌دَ‌رِي ‌أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُؤْتِيَهُمُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ خَ‍‍يْر‌اً ۖ ‌اللَّهُ ‌أَعْلَمُ بِمَا‌ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسِهِمْ ۖ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌إِ‌ذ‌اً لَمِنَ ‌ال‍‍ظَّ‍‍الِمِينَ
Qālū Yā Nūĥu Qad Jādaltanā Fa'aktharta Jidālanā Fa'tinā Bimā Ta`idunā 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna (Hūd: 32). 011.032 They said: O Noah! Thou hast disputed with us and multiplied disputation with us; now bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful. قَ‍‍الُوا يَان‍‍ُ‍وحُ قَ‍‍دْ‌ جَا‌دَلْتَنَا‌ فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَ‌الَنَا‌ فَأْتِنَا‌ بِمَا‌ تَعِدُنَ‍‍ا إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍ا‌دِ‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Qāla 'Innamā Ya'tīkum Bihi Allāhu 'In Shā'a Wa Mā 'Antum Bimu`jizīna (Hūd: 33). 011.033 He said: Only Allah will bring it upon you if He will, and ye can by no means escape. قَ‍الَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍مَا‌ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِهِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Wa Lā Yanfa`ukum Nuşĥī 'In 'Aradtu 'An 'Anşaĥa Lakum 'In Kāna Allāhu Yurīdu 'An Yughwiyakum ۚ Huwa Rabbukum Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna (Hūd: 34). 011.034 My counsel will not profit you if I were minded to advise you, if Allah's will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord and unto Him ye will be brought back. وَلاَ‌ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍فَعُكُمْ نُ‍‍‍‍صْ‍‍حِ‍‍ي ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌دْتُ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌ن‍‍صَ‍‍حَ لَكُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ك‍‍َانَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ يُ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَ‌ن‌ْ يُ‍‍غْ‍‍وِيَكُمْ ۚ هُوَ ‍رَبُّكُمْ ‌وَ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ تُرْجَعُونَ
'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu ۖ Qul 'Ini Aftaraytuhu Fa`alayya 'Ijmī Wa 'Anā Barī'un Mimmā Tujrimūna (Hūd: 35). 011.035 Or say they (again): He hath invented it ? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit. أَمْ يَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ول‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌افْتَ‍رَ‍‌اهُ ۖ قُ‍‍لْ ‌إِنِ ‌افْتَ‍رَيْتُهُ فَعَلَيَّ ‌إِجْ‍‍‍رَ‌امِي ‌وَ‌أَنَا‌ بَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍يءٌ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ تُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمُونَ
Wa 'Ūĥiya 'Ilá Nūĥin 'Annahu Lan Yu'umina Min Qawmika 'Illā Man Qad 'Āmana Falā Tabta'is Bimā Kānū Yaf`alūna (Hūd: 36). 011.036 And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do. وَ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وحِيَ ‌إِلَى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٍ ‌أَنَّ‍‍هُ لَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يُؤْمِنَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍وْمِكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍دْ آمَنَ فَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍بْ‍‍تَئِسْ بِمَا‌ كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Aşna`i Al-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Wa Lā Tukhāţibnī Fī Al-Ladhīna Žalamū ۚ 'Innahum Mughraqūna (Hūd: 37). 011.037 Build the ship under Our eyes and by Our inspiration, and speak not unto Me on behalf of those who do wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. وَ‌ا‍‍صْ‍‍نَعِ ‌الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَ‌وَحْيِنَا وَلاَ‌ تُ‍‍خَ‍‍اطِ‍‍بْ‍‍نِي فِي ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُ‍‍وا ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ مُ‍‍غْ‍رَقُ‍‍ونَ
Wa Yaşna`u Al-Fulka Wa Kullamā Marra `Alayhi Mala'un Min Qawmihi Sakhirū Minhu ۚ Qāla 'In Taskharū Minnā Fa'innā Naskharu Minkum Kamā Taskharūna (Hūd: 38). 011.038 And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock; وَيَ‍‍صْ‍‍نَعُ ‌الْفُلْكَ ‌وَكُلَّمَا‌ مَ‍رَّ‌ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ مَلَأٌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍وْمِهِ سَ‍‍خِ‍‍رُ‌وا مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ۚ قَ‍الَ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ تَسْ‍‍خَ‍‍رُ‌وا مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ فَإِنَّ‍‍ا‌ نَسْ‍‍خَ‍‍رُ‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ كَمَا‌ تَسْ‍‍خَ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Fasawfa Ta`lamūna Man Ya'tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Yaĥillu `Alayhi `Adhābun Muqīmun (Hūd: 39). 011.039 And ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall. فَسَ‍‍وْفَ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَأْت‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ يُ‍‍‍‍خْ‍‍ز‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ‌وَيَحِلُّ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ مُ‍‍قِ‍‍يمٌ
Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'a 'Amrunā Wa Fāra At-Tannūru Qulnā Aĥmil Fīhā Min Kullin Zawjayni Athnayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Man Sabaqa `Alayhi Al-Qawlu Wa Man 'Āmana ۚ Wa Mā 'Āmana Ma`ahu 'Illā Qalīlun (Hūd: 40). 011.040 (Thus it was) till, when Our commandment came to pass and the oven gushed forth water, We said: Load therein two of every kind, a pair (the male and female), and thy household, save him against whom the word hath gone forth already, and those who believe. And but a few were they who believed with him. حَتَّ‍‍ى إِ‌ذَ‌ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا وَف‍‍َا‌‍‍‍رَ‌ال‍‍تَّ‍‍نّ‍‍ُ‍و‌رُ‌ قُ‍‍لْنَا‌ ‌احْمِلْ فِيهَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ كُلٍّ ‌زَ‌وْجَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ‌اثْنَ‍‍يْ‍‍نِ ‌وَ‌أَهْلَكَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سَبَ‍‍قَ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْلُ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌آمَنَ ۚ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا آمَنَ مَعَهُ ‌إِلاَّ قَ‍‍لِيلٌ
Wa Qāla Arkabū Fīhā Bismi Allāhi Majhā Wa Mursāhā ۚ 'Inna Rabbī Laghafūrun Raĥīmun (Hūd: 41). 011.041 And he said: Embark therein! In the name of Allah be its course and its mooring. Lo! my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. وَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌ا‌رْكَبُوا فِيهَا‌ بِسْمِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍‍رَ‌اهَا وَمُرْسَاهَ‍‍اۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي لَ‍‍غَ‍‍ف‍‍ُ‍و‌ر‌ٌ ‌‍رَحِيمٌ
Wa Hiya Tajrī Bihim Fī Mawjin Kāljibāli Wa Nādá Nūĥun Abnahu Wa Kāna Fī Ma`zilin Yā Bunayya Arkab Ma`anā Wa Lā Takun Ma`a Al-Kāfirīna (Hūd: 42). 011.042 And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains, and Noah cried unto his son - and he was standing aloof - O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. وَهِيَ تَ‍‍جْ‍‍رِي بِهِمْ فِي مَ‍‍وْجٍ كَالْجِب‍‍َالِ ‌وَنَا‌دَ‌ى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٌ ‌ابْ‍‍نَهُ ‌وَك‍‍َانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَابُنَيَّ ‌ا‌رْكَ‍‍ب‌ْ مَعَنَا وَلاَ‌ تَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ مَعَ ‌الْكَافِ‍‍رِينَ
Qāla Sa'āwī 'Ilá Jabalin Ya`şimunī Mina Al-Mā'i ۚ Qāla Lā `Āşima Al-Yawma Min 'Amri Allāhi 'Illā Man Raĥima ۚ Wa Ĥāla Baynahumā Al-Mawju Fakāna Mina Al-Mughraqīna (Hūd: 43). 011.043 He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy. And the wave came in between them, so he was among the drowned. قَ‍الَ سَآ‌وِي ‌إِلَى‌ جَبَلٍ يَعْ‍‍صِ‍‍مُنِي مِنَ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ۚ قَ‍الَ لاَ‌ عَاصِ‍‍مَ ‌الْيَ‍‍وْمَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَمْ‍‍رِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَحِمَ ۚ ‌وَح‍‍َالَ بَيْنَهُمَا‌ ‌الْمَ‍‍وْجُ فَك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌الْمُ‍‍غْ‍رَقِ‍‍ينَ
Wa Qīla Yā 'Arđu Abla`ī Mā'aki Wa Yā Samā'u 'Aqli`ī Wa Ghīđa Al-Mā'u Wa Quđiya Al-'Amru Wa Astawat `Alá Al-Jūdīyi ۖ Wa Qīla Bu`dāan Lilqawmi Až-Žālimīna (Hūd: 44). 011.044 And it was said: O earth! Swallow thy water and, O sky! be cleared of clouds! And the water was made to subside. And the commandment was fulfilled. And it (the ship) came to rest upon (the mount) Al-Judi and it was said: A far removal for wrongdoing folk! وَ‍‍قِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ ي‍‍َا‌أَ‌رْضُ ‌ابْ‍‍لَعِي م‍‍َا‌ءَكِ ‌وَيَاسَم‍‍َا‌ءُ أَ‍قْ‍‍‍‍لِعِي ‌وَغِ‍‍ي‍‍ضَ ‌الْم‍‍َا‌ءُ وَقُ‍‍ضِ‍‍يَ ‌الأَمْرُ وَ‌اسْتَوَتْ عَلَى‌ ‌الْجُو‌دِيِّ ‌وَقِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ بُعْد‌اً ۖ لِلْ‍‍قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌ال‍‍ظَّ‍‍الِمِينَ
Wa Nādá Nūĥun Rabbahu Faqāla Rabbi 'Inna Abnī Min 'Ahlī Wa 'Inna Wa`daka Al-Ĥaqqu Wa 'Anta 'Aĥkamu Al-Ĥākimīna (Hūd: 45). 011.045 And Noah cried unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Lo! my son is of my household! Surely Thy promise is the truth and Thou are the Most Just of Judges. وَنَا‌دَ‌ى‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وح ٌ ‌‍‍‍رَبَّهُ فَ‍‍قَ‍الَ ‌‍رَبِّ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌ابْ‍‍نِي مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَهْلِي ‌وَ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌وَعْدَكَ ‌الْحَ‍‍قُّ ‌وَ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌أَحْكَمُ ‌الْحَاكِمِينَ
Qāla Yā Nūĥu 'Innahu Laysa Min 'Ahlika ۖ 'Innahu `Amalun Ghayru Şāliĥin ۖ Falā Tas'alni Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun ۖ 'Innī 'A`ižuka 'An Takūna Mina Al-Jāhilīna (Hūd: 46). 011.046 He said: O Noah! Lo! he is not of thy household; lo! he is of evil conduct, so ask not of Me that whereof thou hast no knowledge. I admonish thee lest thou be among the ignorant. قَ‍الَ يَان‍‍ُ‍وحُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَهْلِكَ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ ۖ عَمَلٌ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رُ‌ صَ‍‍الِحٍ فَلاَ ۖ تَسْأَلْنِ مَا‌ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ۖ ‌أَعِ‍‍ظُ‍‍كَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ تَك‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِنَ ‌الْجَاهِلِينَ
Qāla Rabbi 'Innī 'A`ūdhu Bika 'An 'As'alaka Mā Laysa Lī Bihi `Ilmun ۖ Wa 'Illā Taghfir Lī Wa Tarĥamnī 'Akun Mina Al-Khāsirīna (Hūd: 47). 011.047 He said: My Lord! Lo! in Thee do I seek refuge (from the sin) that I should ask of Thee that whereof I have no knowledge. Unless Thou forgive me and have mercy on me I shall be among the lost. قَ‍الَ ‌‍رَبِّ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَع‍‍ُ‍و‌ذُ‌ بِكَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ ‌أَسْأَلَكَ مَا‌ لَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۖ ‌وَ‌إِلاَّ‌ تَ‍‍غْ‍‍فِ‍‍ر‌ْ‌ لِي ‌وَتَرْحَمْنِ‍‍ي ‌أَكُ‍‌‍ن‌ْ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍اسِ‍‍رِينَ
Qīla Yā Nūĥu Ahbiţ Bisalāmin Minnā Wa Barakātin `Alayka Wa `Alá 'Umamin Mimman Ma`aka ۚ Wa 'Umamun Sanumatti`uhum Thumma Yamassuhum Minnā `Adhābun 'Alīmun (Hūd: 48). 011.048 It was said (unto him): O Noah! Go thou down (from the mountain) with peace from Us and blessings upon thee and some nations (that will spring) from those with thee. (There will be other) nations unto whom We shall give enjoyment a long while and then a painful doom from Us will overtake them. قِ‍‍ي‍‍لَ يَا‌ ن‍‍ُ‍وحُ ‌اهْبِ‍‍ط‍‌ْ بِسَلاَمٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا وَبَ‍رَك‍‍َاتٍ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ‌وَعَلَ‍‍ى أُمَمٍ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍‌‍ن‌ْ مَعَكَ ۚ ‌وَ‌أُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا‌ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ ‌أَلِيمٌ
Tilka Min 'Anbā'i Al-Ghaybi Nūĥīhā 'Ilayka ۖ Mā Kunta Ta`lamuhā 'Anta Wa Lā Qawmuka Min Qabli Hādhā ۖşbir ۖ 'Inna Al-`Āqibata Lilmuttaqīna (Hūd: 49). 011.049 This is of the tidings of the Unseen which We inspire in thee (Muhammad). Thou thyself knewest it not, nor did thy folk (know it) before this. Then have patience. Lo! the sequel is for those who ward off (evil). تِلْكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍غَ‍‍يْ‍‍بِ نُوحِيهَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ۖ مَا‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ تَعْلَمُهَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌وَلاَ قَ‍‍وْمُكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِ هَذَ‌ا‌ ۖ فَاصْ‍‍بِ‍‍ر‌ْ‌ ۖ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌العَاقِ‍‍بَةَ لِلْمُتَّ‍‍قِ‍‍ينَ
Wa 'Ilá `Ādin 'Akhāhum Hūdāan ۚ Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Allaha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu ۖ 'In 'Antum 'Illā Muftarūna (Hūd: 50). 011.050 And unto (the tribe of) A'ad (We sent) their brother, Hud. He said: O my people! Serve Allah! Ye have no other God save Him. Lo! ye do but invent. وَ‌إِلَى‌ ع‍‍َا‌دٍ أَ‍‍خَ‍‍اهُمْ هُو‌د‌اً ۚ قَ‍الَ يَاقَ‍‍وْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ مَا‌ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌إِلَهٍ غَ‍‍يْرُهُ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ۖ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍تُمْ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مُفْتَرُ‌ونَ
Qawmi Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi 'Ajan ۖ 'In 'Ajriya 'Illā `Alá Al-Ladhī Faţaranī ۚ 'Afalā Ta`qilūna (Hūd: 51). 011.051 O my people! I ask of you no reward for it. Lo! my reward is the concern only of Him Who made me. Have ye then no sense ? يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌أَجْ‍‍ر‌اً ۖ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ‌أَجْ‍‍رِيَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ عَلَى‌ ‌الَّذِي فَ‍‍طَ‍رَنِ‍‍ي ۚ ‌أَفَلاَ‌ تَعْ‍‍قِ‍‍لُونَ
Wa Yā Qawmi Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi Yursili As-Samā'a `Alaykum Midan Wa Yazidkum Qūwatan 'Ilá Qūwatikum Wa Lā Tatawallawā Mujrimīna (Hūd: 52). 011.052 And, O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, then turn unto Him repentant; He will cause the sky to rain abundance on you and will add unto you strength to your strength. Turn not away, guilty! وَيَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌اسْتَ‍‍غْ‍‍فِرُ‌وا ‌‍رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ يُرْسِلِ ‌ال‍‍سَّم‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ عَلَيْكُمْ مِ‍‍دْ‌‍رَ‌ا‌ر‌اً ‌وَيَزِ‌دْكُمْ قُ‍‍وَّةً ‌إِلَى‌ قُ‍‍وَّتِكُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَتَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ مُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمِينَ
Qālū Yā Hūdu Mā Ji'tanā Bibayyinatin Wa Mā Naĥnu Bitārikī 'Ālihatinā `An Qawlika Wa Mā Naĥnu Laka Bimu'uminīna (Hūd: 53). 011.053 They said: O Hud! Thou hast brought us no clear proof and we are not going to forsake our gods on thy (mere) saying, and we are not believers in thee. قَ‍‍الُوا يَا‌ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌دُ‌ مَا‌ جِئْتَنَا‌ بِبَيِّنَةٍ ‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ بِتَا‌رِكِ‍‍ي ‌آلِهَتِنَا‌ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍وْلِكَ ‌وَمَا‌ نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
'In Naqūlu 'Illā A`tarāka Ba`đu 'Ālihatinā Bisū'in ۗ Qāla 'Innī 'Ush/hidu Allāha Wa Ash/hadū 'Annī Barī'un Mimmā Tushrikūna (Hūd: 54). 011.054 We say naught save that one of our gods hath possessed thee in an evil way. He said: I call Allah to witness, and do ye (too) bear witness, that I am innocent of (all) that ye ascribe as partners (to Allah) إِ‌ن‌ْ نَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ ‌إِلاَّ ‌اعْتَ‍رَ‍‌اكَ بَعْ‍‍ضُ ‌آلِهَتِنَا‌ بِس‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌‌ٍ ۗ قَ‍الَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أُشْهِدُ‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ‌وَ‌اشْهَدُ‌وا ‌أَنِّ‍‍ي بَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍يءٌ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ تُشْ‍‍رِكُونَ
Min Dūnihi ۖ Fakīdūnī Jamī`āan Thumma Lā Tunžirūni (Hūd: 55). 011.055 Beside Him. So (try to) circumvent me, all of you, give me no respite. مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌دُ‌ونِهِ ۖ فَكِيدُ‌ونِي جَمِيعاً ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ لاَ‌ تُ‍‌‍نْ‍‍‍‍‍‍ظِ‍‍رُ‌ونِ
'Innī Tawakkaltu `Alá Allāhi Rabbī Wa Rabbikum ۚ Mā Min Dābbatin 'Illā Huwa 'Ākhidhun Bināşiyatihā ۚ 'Inna Rabbī `Alá Şiţin Mustaqīmin (Hūd: 56). 011.056 Lo! I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Not an animal but He doth grasp it by the forelock! Lo! my Lord is on a straight path. إِنِّ‍‍ي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى‌ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌‍‍‍رَبِّي ‌وَ‌‍رَبِّكُمْ ۚ مَا‌ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍َ‍‌ابَّةٍ ‌إِلاَّ‌ هُوَ آ‍‍خِ‍‍ذٌ بِنَاصِ‍‍يَتِهَ‍‍اۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي عَلَى‌ صِ‍رَ‍‌اطٍ مُسْتَ‍‍قِ‍‍يمٍ
Fa'in Tawallawā Faqad 'Ablaghtukum Mā 'Ursiltu Bihi 'Ilaykum ۚ Wa Yastakhlifu Rabbī Qawmāan Ghayrakum Wa Lā Tađurrūnahu ۚ Shay'āan 'Inna Rabbī `Alá Kulli Shay'in Ĥafīžun (Hūd: 57). 011.057 And if ye turn away, still I have conveyed unto you that wherewith I was sent unto you, and my Lord will set in place of you a folk other than you. Ye cannot injure Him at all. Lo! my Lord is Guardian over all things. فَإِ‌ن‌ْ تَوَلَّوْ‌ا‌ فَ‍‍‍‍قَ‍‍دْ أَبْ‍‍لَ‍‍غْ‍‍تُكُمْ مَ‍‍ا أُ‌رْسِلْتُ بِهِ ‌إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ ‌وَيَسْتَ‍‍خْ‍‍لِفُ ‌‍رَبِّي قَ‍‍وْماً‌ غَ‍‍يْ‍رَكُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍ضُ‍‍رُّ‌ونَهُ شَ‍‍يْ‍‍ئاً ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي عَلَى‌ كُلِّ شَ‍‍يْءٍ‌ حَفِي‍‍ظٌ
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Hūdāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa Najjaynāhum Min `Adhābin Ghalīžin (Hūd: 58). 011.058 And when Our commandment came to pass We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us; We saved them from a harsh doom. وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ هُو‌د‌اً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِ‍‍‍رَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٍ غَ‍‍لِي‍‍ظٍ
Wa Tilka `Ādun ۖ Jaĥadū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Wa `Aşawā Rusulahu Wa Attaba`ū 'Amra Kulli Jabbārin `Anīdin (Hūd: 59). 011.059 And such were A'ad. They denied the revelations of their Lord and flouted His messengers and followed the command of every froward potentate. وَتِلْكَ ع‍‍َا‌دٌ ۖ جَحَدُ‌وا بِآي‍‍َاتِ ‌‍‍‍رَبِّهِمْ ‌وَعَ‍‍صَ‍‍وْ‌ا رُسُلَهُ ‌وَ‌اتَّبَعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْ‍رَ‌ كُلِّ جَبّ‍‍َا‌رٍ‌ عَنِيدٍ
Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۗ 'Alā 'Inna `Ādāan Kafarū Rabbahum ۗ 'Alā Bu`dāan Li`ādin Qawmi Hūdin (Hūd: 60). 011.060 And a curse was made to follow them in the world and on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! A'ad disbelieved in their Lord. A far removal for A'ad, the folk of Hud! وَ‌أُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ ‌ال‍‍دُّ‌نْ‍‍يَا‌ لَعْنَةً ‌وَيَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ ۗ ‌أَلاَ إِنّ‌َ عَا‌د‌اً كَفَرُ‌وا ‌‍رَبَّهُمْ ۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِع‍‍َا‌د‌‌ٍ قَ‍‍وْمِ هُو‌دٍ
Wa 'Ilá Thamūda 'Akhāhum Şāliĥāan ۚ Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Allaha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu ۖ Huwa 'Ansha'akum Mina Al-'Arđi Wa Asta`marakum Fīhā Fāstaghfirūhu Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi ۚ 'Inna Rabbī Qarībun Mujībun (Hūd: 61). 011.061 And unto (the tribe of) Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, Ye have no other God save Him. He brought you forth from the earth and hath made you husband it. So ask forgiveness of Him and turn unto Him repentant. Lo! my Lord is Nigh, Responsive. وَ‌إِلَى‌ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دَ أَ‍‍خَ‍‍اهُمْ صَ‍‍الِحاً ۚ قَ‍الَ يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ مَا‌ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌إِلَهٍ غَ‍‍يْرُهُ ۖ هُوَ أَ‌ن‍‍شَأَكُمْ مِنَ ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌اسْتَعْمَ‍رَكُمْ فِيهَا‌ فَاسْتَ‍‍غْ‍‍فِر‍ُ‍‌وهُ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي قَ‍‍ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍بٌ مُجِيبٌ
Qālū Yā Şāliĥu Qad Kunta Fīnā Marjūw7an Qabla Hādhā ۖ 'Atanhānā 'An Na`buda Mā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uunā Wa 'Innanā Lafī Shakkin Mimmā Tad`ūnā 'Ilayhi Murībin (Hūd: 62). 011.062 They said: O Salih! Thou hast been among us hitherto as that wherein our hope was placed. Dost thou ask us not to worship what our fathers worshipped ? Lo! we verily are in grave doubt concerning that to which thou callest us. قَ‍‍الُوا يَا‌ صَ‍‍الِحُ قَ‍‍دْ‌ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ فِينَا‌ مَرْجُوّ‌اً قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لَ هَذَ‌اۖ ‌أَتَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَانَ‍‍ا أَ‌ن‌ْ نَعْبُدَ‌ مَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آب‍‍َا‌ؤُنَا وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍نَا‌ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ تَ‍‍دْعُونَ‍‍ا إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ مُ‍‍رِيبٍ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa 'Ātānī Minhu Raĥmatan Faman Yanşurunī Mina Allāhi 'In `Aşaytuhu ۖ Famā Tazīdūnanī Ghayra Takhsīrin (Hūd: 63). 011.063 He said: O my people! Bethink you: if I am (acting) on clear proof from my Lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from Him, who will save me from Allah if I disobey Him ? Ye would add to me naught save perdition. قَ‍الَ يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّي ‌وَ‌آتَانِي مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ‌‍رَحْمَةً فَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‌‍ن‍‍صُ‍‍رُنِي مِنَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ عَ‍‍صَ‍‍يْتُهُ ۖ فَمَا‌ تَزِيدُ‌ونَنِي غَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌ تَ‍‍خْ‍‍سِي‍‍ر‍‍ٍ‍
Wa Yā Qawmi Hadhihi Nāqatu Allāhi Lakum 'Āyatan Fadharūhā Ta'kul Fī 'Arđi Allāhi Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū'in Faya'khudhakum `Adhābun Qarībun (Hūd: 64). 011.064 O my people! This is the camel of Allah, a token unto you, so suffer her to feed in Allah's earth, and touch her not with harm lest a near torment seize you. وَيَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ هَذِهِ نَاقَ‍‍ةُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ لَكُمْ ‌آيَةً فَذَ‌رُ‌وهَا‌ تَأْكُلْ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌رْضِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَمَسُّوهَا‌ بِس‍‍ُ‍و‌ء‌‌ٍ فَيَأْخُ‍‍ذَكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ قَ‍‍رِيبٌ
Fa`aqarūhā Faqāla Tamatta`ū Fī Dārikum Thalāthata 'Ayyāmin ۖ Dhālika Wa`dun Ghayru Makdhūbin (Hūd: 65). 011.065 But they hamstrung her, and then he said: Enjoy life in your dwelling-place three days! This is a threat that will not be belied. فَعَ‍‍قَ‍‍رُ‌وهَا‌ فَ‍‍قَ‍الَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي ‌دَ‌ا‌رِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ ‌أَيّ‍‍َامٍ ۖ ‌ذَلِكَ ‌وَعْدٌ‌ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رُ‌ مَكْذُ‌وبٍ
Falammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Şāliĥāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa Min Khizyi Yawmi'idhin ۗ 'Inna Rabbaka Huwa Al-Qawīyu Al-`Azīzu (Hūd: 66). 011.066 So, when Our commandment came to pass, We saved Salih, and those who believed with him, by a mercy from Us, from the ignominy of that day. Lo, thy Lord! He is the Strong, the Mighty. فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ صَ‍‍الِحاً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِ‍رَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ خِ‍‍زْيِ يَوْمِئِذ‌‌ٍ ۗ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ هُوَ ‌الْ‍‍قَ‍‍وِيُّ ‌الْعَزِيزُ
Wa 'Akhadha Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihimthimīna (Hūd: 67). 011.067 And the (awful) Cry overtook those who did wrong, so that morning found them prostrate in their dwellings, وَ‌أَ‍‍خَ‍‍ذَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍يْحَةُ فَأَ‍صْ‍‍بَحُوا فِي ‌دِيَا‌رِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Ka'an Lam Yaghnawā Fīhā ۗ 'Alā 'Inna Thamūda Kafarū Rabbahum ۗ 'Alā Bu`dāan Lithamūda (Hūd: 68). 011.068 As though they had not dwelt there. Lo! Thamud disbelieved in their Lord. A far removal for Thamud! كَأَ‌ن‌ْ لَمْ يَ‍‍‍‍غْ‍‍نَوْ‌ا‌ فِيهَ‍‍اۗ ‌أَلاَ إِنّ‌َ ثَم‍‍ُ‍و‌دَ‌ كَفَرُ‌وا ‌‍رَبَّهُمْ ۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِثَمُو‌دَ
Wa Laqad Jā'at Rusulunā 'Ibhīma Bil-BushQālū Salāmāan ۖ Qāla Salāmun ۖ Famā Labitha 'An Jā'a Bi`ijlin Ĥanīdhin (Hūd: 69). 011.069 And Our messengers cam unto Abraham with good news. They said: Peace! He answered: Peace! and delayed not to bring a roasted calf. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَتْ ‌رُسُلُنَ‍‍ا إِبْ‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ بِ‍الْبُشْ‍رَ‌ى‌ قَ‍‍الُوا سَلاَماً ۖ قَ‍الَ سَلاَمٌ ۖ فَمَا‌ لَبِثَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ بِعِ‍‍جْ‍‍لٍ حَنِيذٍ
Falammā Ra'á 'Aydiyahum Lā Taşilu 'Ilayhi Nakirahum Wa 'Awjasa Minhum Khīfatan ۚ Qālū Lā Takhaf 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmi Lūţin (Hūd: 70). 011.070 And when he saw their hands reached not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! Lo! we are sent unto the folk of Lot. فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا ‍‍‍رَ‌أَ‌ى أَيْدِيَهُمْ لاَ‌ تَ‍‍صِ‍‍لُ ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ نَكِ‍رَهُمْ ‌وَ‌أَ‌وْجَسَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ خِ‍‍يفَةً ۚ قَ‍‍الُوا لاَ‌ تَ‍‍خَ‍‍فْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا أُ‌رْسِلْنَ‍‍ا إِلَى‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ لُوطٍ
Wa Amra'atuhu Qā'imatun Fađaĥikat Fabashsharnāhā Bi'isĥāqa Wa Min Warā'i 'Isĥāqa Ya`qūba (Hūd: 71). 011.071 And his wife, standing by laughed when We gave her good tidings (of the birth) of Isaac, and, after Isaac, of Jacob. وَ‌امْ‍‍‍رَ‌أَتُهُ قَ‍‍ائِمَةٌ فَ‍‍ضَ‍‍حِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا‌ بِإِسْح‍‍َاقَ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌وَ‌ر‍َ‌اءِ إِسْح‍‍َاقَ يَعْ‍‍قُ‍‍وبَ
Qālat Yā Waylatā 'A'alidu Wa 'Anā `Ajūzun Wa Hadhā Ba`lī Shaykhāan ۖ 'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un `Ajībun (Hūd: 72). 011.072 She said: Oh woe is me! Shall I bear a child when I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man ? Lo! this is a strange thing! قَ‍‍الَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَ‍‍ا أَ‌أَلِدُ وَ‌أَنَا‌ عَج‍‍ُ‍و‌زٌ ‌وَهَذَ‌ا‌ بَعْلِي شَيْ‍‍خ‍‍اً ۖ ‌إِنّ‌َ هَذَ‌ا‌ لَشَ‍‍يْءٌ‌ عَجِيبٌ
Qālū 'Ata`jabīna Min 'Amri Allāhi ۖ Raĥmatu Allāhi Wa Barakātuhu `Alaykum 'Ahla Al-Bayti ۚ 'Innahu Ĥamīdun Majīdun (Hūd: 73). 011.073 They said: Wonderest thou at the commandment of Allah ? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Lo! He is Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! قَ‍‍الُ‍‍وا ‌أَتَعْجَب‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَمْ‍‍رِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ۖ ‌‍رَحْمَةُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَبَ‍رَكَاتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ‌أَهْلَ ‌الْبَ‍‍يْ‍‍تِ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ حَم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍دٌ مَجِيدٌ
Falammā Dhahaba `An 'Ibhīma Ar-Raw`u Wa Jā'at/hu Al-Bushrá Yujādilunā Fī Qawmi Lūţin (Hūd: 74). 011.074 And when the awe departed from Abraham, and the glad news reached him, he pleaded with Us on behalf of the folk of Lot. فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا ذَهَبَ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌إِبْ‍‍‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ ‌ال‍رَّ‌وْعُ ‌وَج‍‍َا‌ءَتْهُ ‌الْبُشْ‍رَ‌ى‌ يُجَا‌دِلُنَا‌ فِي قَ‍‍وْمِ لُوطٍ
'Inna 'Ibhīma Laĥalīmun 'Awwāhun Munībun (Hūd: 75). 011.075 Lo! Abraham was mild, imploring, penitent. إِنّ‌َ ‌إِبْ‍‍‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مَ لَحَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ ‌أَ‌وّ‍َ‍‌اهٌ مُنِيبٌ
Yā 'Ibhīmu 'A`riđ `An Hādhā ۖ 'Innahu Qad Jā'a 'Amru Rabbika ۖ Wa 'Innahum 'Ātīhim `Adhābun Ghayru Mardūdin (Hūd: 76). 011.076 (It was said) O Abraham! Forsake this! Lo! thy Lord's commandment hath gone forth, and lo! there cometh unto them a doom which cannot be repelled. يَ‍‍ا إِبْ‍‍‍‍‍رَ‌اه‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ ‌أَعْ‍‍رِ‍ضْ عَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ هَذَ‌اۖ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ قَ‍‍دْ‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُ ‍رَبِّكَ ۖ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌آتِيهِمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍رُ‌ مَرْ‌دُ‌و‌دٍ
Wa Lammā Jā'at Rusulunā Lūţāan Sī'a Bihim Wa Đāqa Bihim Dhar`āan Wa Qāla Hādhā Yawmun `Aşībun (Hūd: 77). 011.077 And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was distressed and knew not how to protect them. He said: This is a distressful day. وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَتْ ‌رُسُلُنَا‌ لُو‍‍ط‍‍اً س‍‍ِ‍يءَ‌ بِهِمْ ‌وَ‍ضَ‍اقَ بِهِمْ ‌ذَ‌رْعاً ‌وَقَ‍الَ هَذَ‌ا‌ يَ‍‍وْمٌ عَ‍‍صِ‍‍يبٌ
Wa Jā'ahu Qawmuhu Yuhra`ūna 'Ilayhi Wa Min Qablu Kānū Ya`malūna As-Sayyi'āti ۚ Qāla Yā Qawmi Hā'uulā' Banātī Hunna 'Aţharu Lakum Fa ۖ Attaqū Allaha Wa Lā Tukhzūnī Fī Đayf99 ۖ 'Alaysa Minkum Rajulun Rashīdun (Hūd: 78). 011.078 And his people came unto him, running towards him - and before then they used to commit abominations - He said: O my people! Here are my daughters! They are purer for you. Beware of Allah, and degrade me not in (the person of) my guests. Is there not among you any upright man ? وَج‍‍َا‌ءَهُ قَ‍‍وْمُهُ يُهْ‍رَع‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌وَمِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ كَانُوا يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتِ ۚ قَ‍الَ يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ بَنَاتِي هُ‍‍نّ‌َ ‌أَ‍طْ‍‍‍‍هَرُ‌ لَكُمْ ۖ فَاتَّ‍‍قُ‍‍وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تُ‍‍خْ‍‍زُ‌ونِي فِي ضَ‍‍يْفِ‍‍ي ۖ ‌أَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌‍رَجُل ٌ ‌‍رَشِيدٌ
Qālū Laqad `Alimta Mā Lanā Fī Banātika Min Ĥaqqin Wa 'Innaka Lata`lamu Mā Nurīdu (Hūd: 79). 011.079 They said: Well thou knowest that we have no right to thy daughters, and well thou knowest what we want. قَ‍‍الُوا لَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ‌ عَلِمْتَ مَا‌ لَنَا‌ فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ حَ‍‍قٍّ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا‌ نُ‍‍رِيدُ
Qāla Law 'Anna Lī Bikum Qūwatan 'Aw 'Āwī 'Ilá Ruknin Shadīdin (Hūd: 80). 011.080 He said: Would that I had strength to resist you or had some strong support (among you)! قَ‍الَ لَوْ أَنّ‌َ لِي بِكُمْ قُ‍‍وَّةً ‌أَ‌وْ آ‌وِي ‌إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ
Qālū Yā Lūţu 'Innā Rusulu Rabbika Lan Yaşilū 'Ilayka ۖ Fa'asri Bi'ahlika Biqiţ`in Mina Al-Layli Wa Lā Yaltafit Minkum 'Aĥadun 'Illā Amra'ataka ۖ 'Innahu Muşībuhā Mā 'Aşābahum ۚ 'Inna Maw`idahumu Aş-Şubĥu ۚ 'Alaysa Aş-Şubĥu Biqarībin (Hūd: 81). 011.081 (The messengers) said: O Lot! Lo! we are messengers of thy Lord; they shall not reach thee. So travel with thy people in a part of the night, and let not one of you turn round - (all) save thy wife. Lo! that which smiteth them will smite her (also). Lo! their tryst is (for) the morning. Is not the morning nigh ? قَ‍‍الُوا يَا‌ ل‍‍ُ‍و‍‍طُ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا رُسُلُ ‌‍رَبِّكَ لَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَ‍‍صِ‍‍لُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ۖ فَأَسْ‍‍رِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِ‍‍قِ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍عٍ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّ‍‍يْ‍‍لِ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَلْتَفِتْ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ ‌أَحَدٌ ‌إِلاَّ ‌امْ‍رَ‌أَتَكَ ۖ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ مُ‍‍صِ‍‍يبُهَا‌ مَ‍‍ا أَ‍صَ‍‍ابَهُمْ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ مَوْعِدَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍بْ‍‍حُ ۚ ‌أَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍سَ ‌ال‍‍صُّ‍‍بْ‍‍حُ بِ‍‍قَ‍‍رِيبٍ
Falammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Ja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'Amţarnā `Alayhā Ĥijāratan Min Sijjīlin Manđūdin (Hūd: 82). 011.082 So when Our commandment came to pass We overthrew (that township) and rained upon it stones of clay, one after another, فَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ جَعَلْنَا‌ عَالِيَهَا‌ سَافِلَهَا وَ‌أَمْ‍‍‍‍طَ‍‍رْنَا‌ عَلَيْهَا‌ حِجَا‌‍رَةً مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ سِجّ‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍لٍ مَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍‍‍ضُ‍‍و‌دٍ
Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika ۖ Wa Mā Hiya Mina Až-Žālimīna Biba`īdin (Hūd: 83). 011.083 Marked with fire in the providence of thy Lord (for the destruction of the wicked). And they are never far from the wrong-doers. مُسَوَّمَةً عِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍دَ ‍‍‍رَبِّكَ ۖ ‌وَمَا‌ هِيَ مِنَ ‌ال‍‍ظَّ‍‍الِم‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ بِبَعِيدٍ
Wa 'Ilá Madyana 'Akhāhum Shu`aybāan ۚ Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Allaha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu ۖ Wa Lā Tanquşū Al-Mikyā La ۚ Wa Al-Mīzāna 'Innī 'Akum Bikhayrin Wa 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin Muĥīţin (Hūd: 84). 011.084 And unto Midian (We sent) their brother Shu'eyb. He said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other God save Him! And give not short measure and short weight. Lo! I see you well-to-do, and lo! I fear for you the doom of a besetting Day. وَ‌إِلَى‌ مَ‍‍دْيَنَ ‌أَ‍‍خَ‍‍اهُمْ شُعَيْباً ۚ قَ‍الَ يَاقَ‍‍وْمِ ‌اعْبُدُ‌وا ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ مَا‌ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌إِلَهٍ غَ‍‍يْرُهُ ‌وَلاَ ۖ تَ‍‌‍ن‍‍قُ‍‍صُ‍‍وا ‌الْمِكْي‍‍َالَ ‌وَ‌الْمِيز‍َ‍‌انَ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ۚ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌اكُمْ بِ‍‍خَ‍‍يْ‍‍ر‌ٍ ‌وَ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي ‌أَ‍خَ‍افُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ يَ‍‍وْمٍ مُحِي‍‍طٍ
Wa Yā Qawmi 'Awfū Al-Mikyāla Wa Al-Mīzāna Bil-Qisţi ۖ Wa Lā Tabkhasū An-Nāsa 'Ashyā'ahum Wa Lā Ta`thawā Fī Al-'Arđi Mufsidīna (Hūd: 85). 011.085 O my people! Give full measure and full weight in justice, and wrong not people in respect of their goods. And do not evil in the earth, causing corruption. وَيَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌أَ‌وْفُوا ‌الْمِكْي‍‍َالَ ‌وَ‌الْمِيز‍َ‍‌انَ بِ‍الْ‍‍قِ‍‍سْ‍‍طِ ۖ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍بْ‍‍‍‍خَ‍‍سُوا ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ ‌أَشْي‍‍َا‌ءَهُمْ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَعْثَوْ‌ا‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
Baqīyatu Allāhi Khayrun Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna ۚ Wa Mā 'Anā `Alaykum Biĥafīžin (Hūd: 86). 011.086 That which Allah leaveth with you is better for you if ye are believers; and I am not a keeper over you. بَ‍‍قِ‍‍يَّةُ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ خَ‍‍يْ‍‍ر‌ٌ لَكُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُمْ مُؤْمِن‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ۚ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أَنَا‌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِي‍‍ظٍ
Qālū Yā Shu`aybu 'Aşalātuka Ta'muruka 'An Natruka Mā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uunā 'Aw 'An Naf`ala Fī 'Amwālinā Mā Nashā'u ۖ 'Innaka La'anta Al-Ĥalīmu Ar-Rashīdu (Hūd: 87). 011.087 They said: O Shu'eyb! Doth thy way of prayer command thee that we should forsake that which our fathers (used to) worship, or that we (should leave off) doing what we will with our own property. Lo! thou art the mild, the guide to right behaviour. قَ‍‍الُوا يَا‌ شُعَ‍‍يْ‍‍بُ ‌أَ‍صَ‍‍لاَتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ نَتْرُكَ مَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آب‍‍َا‌ؤُنَ‍‍ا أَ‌وْ أَ‌ن‌ْ نَفْعَلَ فِ‍‍ي ‌أَمْوَ‌الِنَا‌ مَا‌ نَش‍‍َا‌ءُ‌ ۖ ‌إِنَّ‍‍كَ لَأَ‌نْ‍‍تَ ‌الْحَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مُ ‌ال‍رَّشِيدُ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa Razaqanī Minhu Rizqāan Ĥasanāan ۚ Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An 'Ukhālifakum 'Ilá Mā 'Anhākum `Anhu ۚ 'In 'Urīdu 'Illā Al-'Işlāĥa Mā Astaţa`tu ۚ Wa Mā Tawf99qī 'Illā Billāhi ۚ `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi 'Unību (Hūd: 88). 011.088 He said: O my people! Bethink you: if I am (acting) on a clear proof from my Lord and He sustaineth me with fair sustenance from Him (how can I concede aught to you) ? I desire not to do behind your backs that which I ask you not to do. I desire naught save reform so far as I am able. My welfare is only in Allah. In Him I trust and unto Him I turn (repentant). قَ‍الَ يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌أَ‌‍رَ‌أَيْتُمْ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ كُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تُ عَلَى‌ بَيِّنَةٍ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّي ‌وَ‌‍رَ‌زَقَ‍‍نِي مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ‌رِ‌زْق‍‍اً‌ حَسَناً ۚ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أُ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ أَ‌ن‌ْ ‌أُخَ‍‍الِفَكُمْ ‌إِلَى‌ مَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍هَاكُمْ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ ۚ ‌إِ‌ن‌ْ ‌أُ‌ر‍ِ‍ي‍‍دُ إِلاَّ ‌الإِصْ‍‍لاَحَ مَا‌ ‌اسْتَ‍‍طَ‍‍عْتُ ۚ ‌وَمَا‌ تَوْفِي‍‍قِ‍‍ي ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِ‍اللَّ‍‍هِ ۚ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ‌وَ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ‌أُنِيبُ
Wa Yā Qawmi Lā Yajrimannakum Shiqāqī 'An Yuşībakum Mithlu Mā 'Aşāba Qawma Nūĥin 'Aw Qawma Hūdin 'Aw Qawma Şāliĥin ۚ Wa Mā Qawmu Lūţin Minkum Biba`īdin (Hūd: 89). 011.089 And, O my people! Let not the schism with me cause you to sin so that there befall you that which befell the folk of Noah and the folk of Hud, and the folk of Salih; and the folk of Lot are not far off from you. وَيَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ لاَ‌ يَ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمَ‍‍نَّ‍‍كُمْ شِ‍‍قَ‍‍اقِ‍‍ي ‌أَ‌ن‌ْ يُ‍‍صِ‍‍يبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَ‍‍ا أَ‍صَ‍ابَ قَ‍‍وْمَ ن‍‍ُ‍وحٍ ‌أَ‌وْ‌ قَ‍‍وْمَ ه‍‍ُ‍و‌دٍ أَ‌وْ‌ قَ‍‍وْمَ صَ‍‍الِحٍ ۚ ‌وَمَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمُ ل‍‍ُ‍و‍‍طٍ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍كُمْ بِبَعِيدٍ
Wa Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi ۚ 'Inna Rabbī Raĥīmun Wadūdun (Hūd: 90). 011.090 Ask pardon of your Lord and then turn unto Him (repentant). Lo! my Lord is Merciful, Loving. وَ‌اسْتَ‍‍‍‍غْ‍‍فِرُ‌وا ‌‍رَبَّكُمْ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ تُوبُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي ‌‍رَح‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ ‌وَ‌دُ‌و‌دٌ
Qālū Yā Shu`aybu Mā Nafqahu Kathīan Mimmā Taqūlu Wa 'Innā Lanarāka Fīnā Đa`īfāan ۖ Wa Lawlā Rahţuka Larajamnāka ۖ Wa Mā 'Anta `Alaynā Bi`azīzin (Hūd: 91). 011.091 They said: O Shu'eyb! We understand not much of that thou tellest, and lo! we do behold thee weak among us. But for thy family, we should have stoned thee, for thou art not strong against us. قَ‍‍الُوا يَا‌ شُعَ‍‍يْ‍‍بُ مَا‌ نَفْ‍‍قَ‍‍هُ كَثِي‍‍ر‌اً مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ تَ‍‍قُ‍‍ولُ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَنَ‍رَ‍‌اكَ فِينَا‌ ضَ‍‍عِيفاً ۖ ‌وَلَوْلاَ ‍رَهْ‍‍طُ‍‍كَ لَ‍رَجَمْن‍‍َاكَ ۖ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أَ‌نْ‍‍تَ عَلَيْنَا‌ بِعَزِيزٍ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Arahţī 'A`azzu `Alaykum Mina Allāhi Wa Attakhadhtumūhu Warā'akum Žihrīy7an ۖ 'Inna Rabbī Bimā Ta`malūna Muĥīţun (Hūd: 92). 011.092 He said: O my people! Is my family more to be honoured by you than Allah ? and ye put Him behind you, neglected! Lo! my Lord surroundeth what ye do. قَ‍الَ يَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌أَ‌‍رَهْ‍‍طِ‍‍ي ‌أَعَزُّ‌ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ ‌وَ‌اتَّ‍‍خَ‍‍ذْتُم‍‍ُ‍وهُ ‌وَ‌ر‍َ‌اءَكُمْ ظِ‍‍هْ‍‍رِيّاً ۖ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبِّي بِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ مُحِي‍‍طٌ
Wa Yā Qawmi A`malū `Alá Makānatikum 'Innī `Āmilun ۖ Sawfa Ta`lamūna Man Ya'tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Man Huwa Kādhibun ۖ Wa Artaqibū 'Innī Ma`akum Raqībun (Hūd: 93). 011.093 And, O my people! Act according to your power, lo! I (too) am acting. Ye will soon know on whom there cometh a doom that will abase him, and who it is that lieth. And watch! Lo! I am a watcher with you. وَيَا‌ قَ‍‍وْمِ ‌اعْمَلُوا عَلَى‌ مَكَانَتِكُمْ ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي عَامِلٌ ۖ سَ‍‍وْفَ تَعْلَم‍‍ُ‍ونَ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ يَأْت‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابٌ يُ‍‍خْ‍‍ز‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ هُوَ‌ كَا‌ذِبٌ ۖ ‌وَ‌ا‌رْتَ‍‍قِ‍‍بُ‍‍وا ‌إِنِّ‍‍ي مَعَكُمْ ‌‍رَقِ‍‍يبٌ
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Shu`aybāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa 'Akhadhati Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihimthimīna (Hūd: 94). 011.094 And when Our commandment came to pass We saved Shu'eyb and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us; and the (Awful) Cry seized those who did injustice, and morning found them prostrate in their dwellings, وَلَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُنَا‌ نَجَّيْنَا‌ شُعَيْباً ‌وَ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ‌آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِ‍‍‍رَحْمَةٍ مِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ا وَ‌أَ‍خَ‍‍ذَتِ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُوا ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍يْحَةُ فَأَ‍صْ‍‍بَحُوا فِي ‌دِيَا‌رِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Ka'an Lam Yaghnawā Fīhā ۗ 'Alā Bu`dāan Limadyana Kamā Ba`idat Thamūdu (Hūd: 95). 011.095 As though they had not dwelt there. A far removal for Midian, even as Thamud had been removed afar! كَأَ‌ن‌ْ لَمْ يَ‍‍‍‍غْ‍‍نَوْ‌ا‌ فِيهَ‍‍اۗ ‌أَلاَ‌ بُعْد‌اً لِمَ‍‍دْيَنَ كَمَا‌ بَعِدَتْ ثَمُو‌دُ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'āyātinā Wa Sulţānin Mubīnin (Hūd: 96). 011.096 And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations and a clear warrant وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ أَ‌رْسَلْنَا‌ مُوسَى‌ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْ‍‍طَ‍انٍ مُبِينٍ
'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Fa Attaba`ū 'Amra Fir`awna ۖ Wa Mā 'Amru Fir`awna Birashīdin (Hūd: 97). 011.097 Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they did follow the command of Pharaoh, and the command of Pharaoh was no right guide. إِلَى‌ فِ‍‍ر‌ْعَ‍‍وْنَ ‌وَمَلَئِهِ فَاتَّبَعُ‍‍وا ‌أَمْ‍‍‍رَ‌ فِ‍‍ر‌ْعَ‍‍وْنَ ۖ ‌وَمَ‍‍ا أَمْرُ‌ فِ‍‍ر‌ْعَ‍‍وْنَ بِ‍رَشِيدٍ
Yaqdumu Qawmahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fa'awradahumu An-Nāra ۖ Wa Bi'sa Al-Wirdu Al-Mawrūdu (Hūd: 98). 011.098 He will go before his people on the Day of Resurrection and will lead them to the Fire for watering-place. Ah, hapless is the watering-place (whither they are) led. يَ‍‍‍‍‍قْ‍‍‍‍دُمُ قَ‍‍وْمَهُ يَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ فَأَ‌وْ‌‍رَ‌دَهُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌‍رَۖ ‌وَبِئْسَ ‌الْوِ‌ر‍‍ْ‍‌دُ‌ ‌الْمَوْ‌رُ‌و‌دُ
Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Hadhihi La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۚ Bi'sa Ar-Rifdu Al-Marfūdu (Hūd: 99). 011.099 A curse is made to follow them in the world and on the Day of Resurrection. Hapless is the gift (that will be) given (them). وَ‌أُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ لَعْنَةً ‌وَيَ‍‍وْمَ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يَامَةِ ۚ بِئْسَ ‌ال‍‍رِّفْدُ‌ ‌الْمَرْفُو‌دُ
Dhālika Min 'Anbā'i Al-Qurá Naquşşuhu `Alayka ۖ Minhā Qā'imun Wa Ĥaşīdun (Hūd: 100). 011.100 That is (something) of the tidings of the townships (which were destroyed of old). We relate it unto thee (Muhammad). Some of them are standing and some (already) reaped. ذَلِكَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قُ‍رَ‌ى‌ نَ‍‍قُ‍‍صُّ‍‍هُ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ ۖ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَا‌ قَ‍‍ائِمٌ ‌وَحَ‍‍صِ‍‍يدٌ
Wa Mā Žalamnāhum Wa Lakin Žalamū 'Anfusahum ۖ Famā 'Aghnat `Anhum 'Ālihatuhumu Allatī Yad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi Min Shay'in Lammā Jā'a 'Amru Rabbika ۖ Wa Mā Zādūhum Ghayra Tatbībin (Hūd: 101). 011.101 We wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves; and their gods on whom they call beside Allah availed them naught when came thy Lord's command; they added to them naught save ruin. وَمَا‌ ظَ‍‍لَمْنَاهُمْ ‌وَلَكِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ظَ‍‍لَمُ‍‍وا ‌أَ‌ن‍‍فُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَ‍‍ا أَغْ‍‍نَتْ عَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ‌آلِهَتُهُمُ ‌الَّتِي يَ‍‍دْع‍‍ُ‍ونَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ شَ‍‍يْء‌ٍ لَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ ج‍‍َا‌ءَ أَمْرُ ‍رَبِّكَ ۖ ‌وَمَا زَ‌ا‌دُ‌وهُمْ غَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌ تَتْبِيبٍ
Wa Kadhalika 'Akhdhu Rabbika 'Idhā 'Akhadha Al-Qurá Wa Hiya Žālimatun ۚ 'Inna 'Akhdhahu 'Alīmun Shadīdun (Hūd: 102). 011.102 Even thus is the grasp of thy Lord when He graspeth the townships while they are doing wrong. Lo! His grasp is painful, very strong. وَكَذَلِكَ ‌أَ‍‍خْ‍‍ذُ ‍رَبِّكَ ‌إِ‌ذَ‌ا أَ‍خَ‍‍ذَ ‌الْ‍‍قُ‍رَ‌ى وَهِيَ ظَ‍‍الِمَةٌ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌أَ‍خْ‍‍ذَهُ ‌أَل‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍مٌ شَدِيدٌ
'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liman Khāfa `Adhāba Al-'Ākhirati ۚ Dhālika Yawmun Majmū`un Lahu An-Nāsu Wa Dhalika Yawmun Mash/hūdun (Hūd: 103). 011.103 Lo! herein verily there is a portent for those who fear the doom of the Hereafter. That is a day unto which mankind will be gathered, and that is a day that will be witnessed. إِنّ‌َ فِي ‌ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً‌ لِمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ خَ‍افَ عَذ‍َ‍‌ابَ ‌الآ‍‍خِ‍رَةِ ۚ ‌ذَلِكَ يَ‍‍وْمٌ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍م‍‍ُ‍وع ٌ لَهُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسُ ‌وَ‌ذَلِكَ يَ‍‍وْمٌ مَشْهُو‌دٌ
Wa Mā Nu'uakhkhiruhu 'Illā Li'jalin Ma`dūdin (Hūd: 104). 011.104 And We defer it only to a term already reckoned. وَمَا‌ نُؤَ‍‍‍‍خِّ‍‍رُهُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ لِأجَلٍ مَعْدُ‌و‌دٍ
Yawma Ya'ti Lā Takallamu Nafsun 'Illā Bi'idhnihi ۚ Faminhum Shaqīyun Wa Sa`īdun (Hūd: 105). 011.105 On the day when it cometh no soul will speak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad. يَ‍‍وْمَ يَأْتِ لاَ‌ تَكَلَّمُ نَفْسٌ ‌إِلاَّ‌ بِإِ‌ذْنِهِ ۚ فَمِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ شَ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍يٌّ ‌وَسَعِيدٌ
Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Shaqū Fafī An-Nāri Lahum Fīhā Zafīrun Wa Shahīqun (Hūd: 106). 011.106 As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein, فَأَمَّ‍‍ا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ شَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍وا فَفِي ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍رٌ ‌وَشَهِي‍‍قٌ
Khālidīna Fīhā Mā Dāmati As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Shā'a Rabbuka ۚ 'Inna Rabbaka Fa``ālun Limā Yurīdu (Hūd: 107). 011.107 Abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth. Lo! thy Lord is Doer of what He will. خَ‍‍الِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِيهَا‌ مَا دَ‌امَتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتُ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَا‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‍رَبُّكَ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌‍رَبَّكَ فَعّ‍‍َال ٌ لِمَا‌ يُ‍‍رِيدُ
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Su`idū Fafī Al-Jannati Khālidīna Fīhā Mā Dāmati As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Shā'a Rabbuka ۖ `Aţā'an Ghayra Majdhūdhin (Hūd: 108). 011.108 And as for those who will be glad (that day) they will be in the Garden, abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth: a gift unfailing. وَ‌أَمَّ‍‍ا‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ سُعِدُ‌وا فَفِي ‌الْجَ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ خَ‍‍الِد‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ فِيهَا‌ مَا دَ‌امَتِ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتُ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضُ ‌إِلاَّ‌ مَا‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‍رَبُّكَ ۖ عَ‍‍طَ‍‍ا‌ءً‌ غَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌ مَ‍‍جْ‍‍ذُ‌و‌ذٍ
Falā Taku Fī Miryatin Mimmā Ya`budu Hā'uulā' ۚ Mā Ya`budūna 'Illā Kamā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uuhum Min Qablu ۚ Wa 'Innā Lamuwaffūhum Naşībahum Ghayra Manqūşin (Hūd: 109). 011.109 So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated. فَلاَ‌ تَكُ فِي مِ‍‍ر‌ْيَةٍ مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ يَعْبُدُ‌ ه‍‍َا‌ؤُلاَ‌ء‌ ۚ مَا‌ يَعْبُد‍ُ‍‌ونَ ‌إِلاَّ‌ كَمَا‌ يَعْبُدُ آب‍‍َا‌ؤُهُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لُ ۚ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَ‍‍صِ‍‍يبَهُمْ غَ‍‍يْ‍رَ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‍‍قُ‍‍وصٍ
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi ۚ Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahum ۚ Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin (Hūd: 110). 011.110 And we verily gave unto Moses the Scripture, and there was strife thereupon; and had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from thy Lord, the case would have been judged between them, and lo! they are in grave doubt concerning it. وَلَ‍‍قَ‍‍دْ آتَيْنَا‌ مُوسَى‌ ‌الْكِت‍‍َابَ فَاخْ‍‍تُلِفَ ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ۚ ‌وَلَوْلاَ‌ كَلِمَةٌ سَبَ‍‍قَ‍‍تْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍رَبِّكَ لَ‍‍قُ‍‍ضِ‍‍يَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ ‌وَ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُ مُ‍‍رِيبٍ
Wa 'Inna Kullā Lammā Layuwaffiyannahum Rabbuka 'A`mālahum ۚ 'Innahu Bimā Ya`malūna Khabīrun (Hūd: 111). 011.111 And lo! unto each thy Lord will verily repay his works in full. Lo! He is Informed of what they do. وَ‌إِنّ‌َ كُلاَّ‌ لَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ لَيُوَفِّيَ‍‍نَّ‍‍هُمْ ‌‍‍‍رَبُّكَ ‌أَعْمَالَهُمْ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ بِمَا‌ يَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ خَ‍‍بِيرٌ
Fāstaqim Kamā 'Umirta Wa Man Tāba Ma`aka Wa Lā Taţghawā ۚ 'Innahu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun (Hūd: 112). 011.112 So tread thou the straight path as thou art commanded, and those who turn (unto Allah) with thee, and transgress not. Lo! He is Seer of what ye do. فَاسْتَ‍‍‍‍قِ‍‍مْ كَمَ‍‍ا أُمِ‍‍ر‌ْتَ ‌وَمَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ت‍‍َابَ مَعَكَ ‌وَلاَ‌ تَ‍‍طْ‍‍‍‍‍‍غَ‍‍وْ‌ا‌ ۚ ‌إِنَّ‍‍هُ بِمَا‌ تَعْمَل‍‍ُ‍ونَ بَ‍‍صِ‍‍يرٌ
Wa Lā Tarkanū 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Fatamassakumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Dūni Allāhi Min 'Awliyā'a Thumma Lā Tunşarūna (Hūd: 113). 011.113 And incline not toward those who do wrong lest the Fire touch you, and ye have no protecting friends against Allah, and afterward ye would not be helped. وَلاَ‌ تَرْكَنُ‍‍وا ‌إِلَى‌ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َا‌رُ وَمَا‌ لَكُمْ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌د‍ُ‍‌ونِ ‌اللَّ‍‍هِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌وْلِي‍‍َا‌ءَ‌ ثُ‍‍مّ‌َ لاَ‌ تُ‍‌‍ن‍‍صَ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Wa 'Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Ţarafayi An-Nahāri Wa Zulafāan Mina Al-Layli ۚ 'Inna Al-Ĥasanāti Yudh/hibna As-Sayyi'āti ۚ Dhālika Dhikrá Lildhdhākirīna (Hūd: 114). 011.114 Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful. وَ‌أَ‍‍قِ‍‍مِ ‌ال‍‍صَّ‍‍لاَةَ طَ‍رَفَيِ ‌ال‍‍نَّ‍‍ه‍‍َا‌رِ ‌وَ‌زُلَفاً مِنَ ‌ال‍‍لَّ‍‍يْ‍‍لِ ۚ ‌إِنّ‌َ ‌الْحَسَن‍‍َاتِ يُذْهِ‍‍بْ‍‍نَ ‌ال‍‍سَّيِّئ‍‍َاتِ ۚ ‌ذَلِكَ ‌ذِكْ‍رَ‌ى‌ لِلذَّ‌اكِ‍‍رِينَ
Wa Aşbir Fa'inna Allāha Lā Yuđī`u 'Ajra Al-Muĥsinīna (Hūd: 115). 011.115 And have patience, (O Muhammad), for lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good. وَ‌ا‍‍صْ‍‍بِ‍‍ر‌ْ‌ فَإِنّ‌َ ‌اللَّ‍‍هَ لاَ‌ يُ‍‍ضِ‍‍ي‍‍عُ ‌أَجْ‍‍‍رَ‌الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Falawlā Kāna Mina Al-Qurūni Min Qablikum 'Ūlū Baqīyatin Yanhawna `Ani Al-Fasādi Fī Al-'Arđi 'Illā Qalīlāan Mimman 'Anjaynā Minhum ۗ Wa Attaba`a Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Mā 'Utrifū Fīhi Wa Kānū Mujrimīna (Hūd: 116). 011.116 If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty. فَلَوْلاَ‌ ك‍‍َانَ مِنَ ‌الْ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍ر‍ُ‍‌ونِ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ قَ‍‍بْ‍‍لِكُمْ ‌أ‍ُ‍‌وْلُوا بَ‍‍قِ‍‍يَّةٍ يَ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هَ‍‍وْنَ عَنِ ‌الْفَس‍‍َا‌دِ‌ فِي ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌إِلاَّ قَ‍‍لِيلاً مِ‍‍مَّ‍‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍جَيْنَا‌ مِ‍‌‍نْ‍‍هُمْ ۗ ‌وَ‌اتَّبَعَ ‌الَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ ظَ‍‍لَمُوا مَ‍‍ا أُتْ‍‍رِفُوا ف‍‍ِ‍ي‍‍هِ ‌وَكَانُوا مُ‍‍جْ‍‍رِمِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Liyuhlika Al-Qurá Bižulmin Wa 'Ahluhā Muşliĥūna (Hūd: 117). 011.117 In truth thy Lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right. وَمَا‌ ك‍‍َانَ ‌‍‍‍رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ ‌الْ‍‍قُ‍رَ‌ى‌ بِ‍‍ظُ‍‍لْمٍ ‌وَ‌أَهْلُهَا‌ مُ‍‍صْ‍‍لِحُونَ
Wa Law Shā'a Rabbuka Laja`ala An-Nāsa 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan ۖ Wa Lā Yazālūna Mukhtalifīna (Hūd: 118). 011.118 And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, وَلَوْ‌ ش‍‍َا‌ءَ ‍‍‍رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسَ ‌أُمَّ‍‍ةً ‌وَ‌احِدَةً ۖ ‌وَلاَ‌ يَزَ‌ال‍‍ُ‍ونَ مُ‍‍خْ‍‍تَلِفِينَ
'Illā Man Raĥima Rabbuka ۚ Wa Lidhalika Khalaqahum ۗ Wa Tammat Kalimatu Rabbika La'amla'anna Jahannama Mina Al-Jinnati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna (Hūd: 119). 011.119 Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together. إِلاَّ‌ مَ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌‍‍‍رَحِمَ ‌‍رَبُّكَ ۚ ‌وَلِذَلِكَ خَ‍‍لَ‍‍قَ‍‍هُمْ ۗ ‌وَتَ‍‍مَّ‍‍تْ كَلِمَةُ ‌‍رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنّ‌َ جَهَ‍‍نَّ‍‍مَ مِنَ ‌الْجِ‍‍نَّ‍‍ةِ ‌وَ‌ال‍‍نّ‍‍َاسِ ‌أَجْ‍‍مَعِينَ
Wa Kullāan Naquşşu `Alayka Min 'Anbā'i Ar-Rusuli Mā Nuthabbitu Bihi Fu'uādaka ۚ Wa Jā'aka Fī Hadhihi Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Maw`ižatun Wa Dhikrá Lilmu'uminīna (Hūd: 120). 011.120 And all that We relate unto thee of the story of the messengers is in order that thereby We may make firm thy heart. And herein hath come unto thee the Truth and an exhortation and a reminder for believers. وَكُلاًّ نَ‍‍‍‍قُ‍‍صُّ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍كَ مِ‍‌‍ن‌ْ ‌أَ‌نْ‍‍ب‍‍َا‌ءِ‌ ‌ال‍‍رُّسُلِ مَا‌ نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ فُؤ‍َ‍‌ا‌دَكَ ۚ ‌وَج‍‍َا‌ءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ ‌الْحَ‍‍قُّ ‌وَمَوْعِ‍‍ظَ‍‍ةٌ ‌وَ‌ذِكْ‍رَ‌ى‌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Qul Lilladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna A`malū `Alá Makānatikum 'Innā `Āmilūna (Hūd: 121). 011.121 And say unto those who believe not: Act according to your power. Lo! We (too) are acting. وَ‍‍قُ‍‍لْ لِلَّذ‍ِ‍ي‍‍نَ لاَ‌ يُؤْمِن‍‍ُ‍ونَ ‌اعْمَلُوا عَلَى‌ مَكَانَتِكُمْ ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ عَامِلُونَ
Wa Antažirū 'Innā Muntažirūna (Hūd: 122). 011.122 And wait! Lo! We (too) are waiting. وَ‌ا‌ن‍‍تَ‍‍‍‍ظِ‍‍رُ‌وا ‌إِنَّ‍‍ا‌ مُ‍‌‍ن‍‍تَ‍‍ظِ‍‍رُ‌ونَ
Wa Lillāh Ghaybu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Yurja`u Al-'Amru Kulluhu Fā`bud/hu Wa Tawakkal `Alayhi ۚ Wa Mā Rabbuka Bighāfilin `Ammā Ta`malūna (Hūd: 123). 011.123 And Allah's is the Invisible of the heavens and the earth, and unto Him the whole matter will be returned. So worship Him and put thy trust in Him. Lo! thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do. وَلِلَّهِ غَ‍‍يْ‍‍بُ ‌ال‍‍سَّمَا‌و‍َ‍‌اتِ ‌وَ‌الأَ‌رْضِ ‌وَ‌إِلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ يُرْجَعُ ‌الأَمْرُ‌ كُلُّهُ فَاعْبُ‍‍دْهُ ‌وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَ‍‍يْ‍‍هِ ۚ ‌وَمَا ‍رَبُّكَ بِ‍‍غَ‍‍افِلٍ عَ‍‍مَّ‍‍ا‌ تَعْمَلُونَ
