| Allāhu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-Ĥayyu Al-Qayyūmu | 003.002 Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. | اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ |
| Nazzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Wa 'Anzala At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla | 003.003 He hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture with truth, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, even as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. | نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنْزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيلَ |
| Min Qablu Hudáan Lilnnāsi Wa 'Anzala Al-Furqāna 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Allāhi Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Dhū Antiqāmin | 003.004 Aforetime, for a guidance to mankind; and hath revealed the Criterion (of right and wrong). Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, theirs will be a heavy doom. Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong). | مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدى ً لِلنَّاسِ وَأَنْزَلَ الْفُرْقَانَ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيز ٌ ذُو انْتِقَام ٍ |
| 'Inna Allāha Lā Yakhfá `Alayhi Shay'un Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Fī As-Samā'i | 003.005 Lo! nothing in the earth or in the heavens is hidden from Allah. | إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْء ٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Yuşawwirukum Fī Al-'Arĥāmi Kayfa Yashā'u Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | 003.006 He it is Who fashioneth you in the wombs as pleaseth Him. There is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise. | هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Anzala `Alayka Al-Kitāba Minhu 'Āyātun Muĥkamātun Hunna 'Ummu Al-Kitābi Wa 'Ukharu Mutashābihātun Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Fī Qulūbihim Zayghun Fayattabi`ūna Mā Tashābaha Minhu Abtighā'a Al-Fitnati Wa Abtighā'a Ta'wīlihi Wa Mā Ya`lamu Ta'wīlahu 'Illā Allāhu Wa Ar-Rāsikhūna Fī Al-`Ilmi Yaqūlūna 'Āmannā Bihi Kullun Min `Indi Rabbinā Wa Mā Yadhdhakkaru 'Illā 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi | 003.007 He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed. | هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَات ٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَات ٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغ ٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَه ََ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِه ِِ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِه ِِ كُلّ ٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ |
| Rabbanā Lā Tuzigh Qulūbanā Ba`da 'Idh Hadaytanā Wa Hab Lanā Min Ladunka Raĥmatan 'Innaka 'Anta Al-Wahhābu | 003.008 Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after Thou hast guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Bestower. | رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَة ً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ |
| Rabbanā 'Innaka Jāmi`u An-Nāsi Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi 'Inna Allāha Lā Yukhlifu Al-Mī`āda | 003.009 Our Lord! Lo! it is Thou Who gatherest mankind together to a Day of which there is no doubt. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst. | رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ~ِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Allāhi Shay'āan Wa 'Ūlā'ika Hum Wa Qūdu An-Nāri | 003.010 (On that Day) neither the riches nor the progeny of those who disbelieve will aught avail them with Allah. They will be fuel for Fire. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ |
| Kada'bi 'Āli Fir`awna Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Fa'akhadhahumu Allāhu Bidhunūbihim Wa Allāhu Shadīdu Al-`Iqābi | 003.011 Like Pharaoh's folk and those who were before them, they disbelieved Our revelations and so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in punishment. | كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Qul Lilladhīna Kafarū Satughlabūna Wa Tuĥsharūna 'Ilá Jahannama Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu | 003.012 Say (O Muhammad) unto those who disbelieve: Ye shall be overcome and gathered unto Hell, an evil resting-place. | قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَتُغْلَبُونَ وَتُحْشَرُونَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ |
| Qad Kāna Lakum 'Āyatun Fī Fi'atayni At-Taqatā Fi'atun Tuqātilu Fī Sabīli Allāhi Wa 'Ukhrá Kāfiratun Yarawnahum Mithlayhim Ra'ya Al-`Ayni Wa Allāhu Yu'uayyidu Binaşrihi Man Yashā'u 'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Li'wlī Al-'Abşāri | 003.013 There was a token for you in two hosts which met: one army fighting in the way of Allah, and another disbelieving, whom they saw as twice their number, clearly, with their very eyes. Thus Allah strengtheneth with His succour whom He will. Lo! herein verily is a lesson for those who have eyes. | قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَة ٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا فِئَة ٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخْرَى كَافِرَة ٌ يَرَوْنَهُمْ مِثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَة ً لِأوْلِي الأَبْصَارِ |
| Zuyyina Lilnnāsi Ĥubbu Ash-Shahawāti Mina An-Nisā' Wa Al-Banīna Wa Al-Qanāţīri Al-Muqanţarati Mina Adh-Dhahabi Wa Al-Fiđđati Wa Al-Khayli Al-Musawwamati Wa Al-'An`āmi Wa Al-Ĥarthi Dhālika Matā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu Al-Ma'ābi | 003.014 Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode. | زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِسَاء وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالأَنعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ذَلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَه ُُ حُسْنُ الْمَآبِ |
| Qul 'A'uunabbi'ukum Bikhayrin Min Dhālikum Lilladhīna Attaqaw `Inda Rabbihim Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Wa 'Azwājun Muţahharatun Wa Riđwānun Mina Allāhi Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi | 003.015 Say: Shall I inform you of something better than that ? For those who keep from evil, with their Lord, are Gardens underneath which rivers flow wherein they will abide, and pure companions, and contentment from Allah. Allah is Seer of His bondmen, | قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْر ٍ مِنْ ذَلِكُمْ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَاج ٌ مُطَهَّرَة ٌ وَرِضْوَان ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yaqūlūna Rabbanā 'Innanā 'Āmannā Fāghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa Qinā `Adhāba An-Nāri | 003.016 Those who say: Our Lord! Lo! we believe. So forgive us our sins and guard us from the punishment of Fire; | الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ |
| Aş-Şābirīna Wa Aş-Şādiqīna Wa Al-Qānitīna Wa Al-Munfiqīna Wa Al-Mustaghfirīna Bil-'Asĥāri | 003.017 The steadfast, and the truthful, and the obedient, those who spend (and hoard not), those who pray for pardon in the watches of the night. | الصَّابِرِينَ وَالصَّادِقِينَ وَالْقَانِتِينَ وَالْمُنْفِقِينَ وَالْمُسْتَغْفِرِينَ بِالأَسْحَارِ |
| Shahida Allāhu 'Annahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Wa 'Ūlū Al-`Ilmi Qā'imāan Bil-Qisţi Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | 003.018 Allah (Himself) is Witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no God save Him the Almighty, the Wise. | شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَأُوْلُوا الْعِلْمِ قَائِما ً بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
| 'Inna Ad-Dīna `Inda Allāhi Al-'Islāmu Wa Mā Akhtalafa Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum Wa Man Yakfur Bi'āyāti Allāhi Fa'inna Allāha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi | 003.019 Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning. | إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الإِسْلاَمُ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيا ً بَيْنَهُمْ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ |
| Fa'in Ĥājjūka Faqul 'Aslamtu Wajhiya Lillāhi Wa Mani Attaba`ani Wa Qul Lilladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Wa Al-'Ummīyīna 'A'aslamtum Fa'in 'Aslamū Faqadi Ahtadaw Wa 'In Tawallaw Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bil-`Ibādi | 003.020 And if they argue with thee, (O Muhammad), say: I have surrendered my purpose to Allah and (so have) those who follow me. And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not: Have ye (too) surrendered ? If they surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away, then it is thy duty only to convey the message (unto them). Allah is Seer of (His) bondmen. | فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوا وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Yaqtulūna An-Nabīyīna Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Yaqtulūna Al-Ladhīna Ya'murūna Bil-Qisţi Mina An-Nāsi Fabashshirhum Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin | 003.021 Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, and slay the prophets wrongfully, and slay those of mankind who enjoin equity: promise them a painful doom. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ |
| 'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ĥabiţat 'A`māluhum Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna | 003.022 Those are they whose works have failed in the world and the Hereafter; and they have no helpers. | أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| 'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Naşībāan Mina Al-Kitābi Yud`awna 'Ilá Kitābi Allāhi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum Thumma Yatawallá Farīqun Minhum Wa Hum Mu`riđūna | 003.023 Hast thou not seen how those who have received a portion of the Scripture invoke the Scripture of Allah (in their disputes) that it may judge between them; then a faction of them turn away, being opposed (to it) ? | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبا ً مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ |
| Dhālika Bi'annahum Qālū Lan Tamassanā An-Nāru 'Illā 'Ayyāmāan Ma`dūdātin Wa Gharrahum Fī Dīnihim Mā Kānū Yaftarūna | 003.024 That is because they say: The Fire will not touch us save for a certain number of days. That which they used to invent hath deceived them regarding their religion. | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلاَّ أَيَّاما ً مَعْدُودَات ٍ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
| Fakayfa 'Idhā Jama`nāhum Liyawmin Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Wuffiyat Kullu Nafsin Mā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | 003.025 How (will it be with them) when We have brought them all together to a Day of which there is no doubt, when every soul will be paid in full what it hath earned, and they will not be wronged. | فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَاهُمْ لِيَوْم ٍ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| Quli Al-Lahumma Mālika Al-Mulki Tu'utī Al-Mulka Man Tashā'u Wa Tanzi`u Al-Mulka Mimman Tashā'u Wa Tu`izzu Man Tashā'u Wa Tudhillu Man Tashā'u Biyadika Al-Khayru 'Innaka `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | 003.026 Say: O Allah! Owner of Sovereignty! Thou givest sovereignty unto whom Thou wilt, and Thou withdrawest sovereignty from whom Thou wilt. Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt. In Thy hand is the good. Lo! Thou art Able to do all things. | قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| Tūliju Al-Layla Fī An-Nahāri Wa Tūliju An-Nahāra Fī Al-Layli Wa Tukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Tukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi Wa Tarzuqu Man Tashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin | 003.027 Thou causest the night to pass into the day, and Thou causest the day to pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead, and Thou bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest sustenance to whom Thou choosest, without stint. | تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ |
| Lā Yattakhidhi Al-Mu'uminūna Al-Kāfirīna 'Awliyā'a Min Dūni Al-Mu'uminīna Wa Man Yaf`al Dhālika Falaysa Mina Allāhi Fī Shay'in 'Illā 'An Tattaqū Minhum Tuqāatan Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Allāhu Nafsahu Wa 'Ilá Allāhi Al-Maşīru | 003.028 Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying. | لاَ يَتَّخِذِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي شَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَتَّقُوا مِنْهُمْ تُقَاة ً وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ |
| Qul 'In Tukhfū Mā Fī Şudūrikum 'Aw Tubdūhu Ya`lamhu Allāhu Wa Ya`lamu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | 003.029 Say, (O Muhammad): Whether ye hide that which is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knoweth it. He knoweth that which is in the heavens and that which is in the earth, and Allah is Able to do all things. | قُلْ إِنْ تُخْفُوا مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ أَوْ تُبْدُوه ُُ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| Yawma Tajidu Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Min Khayrin Muĥđarāan Wa Mā `Amilat Min Sū'in Tawaddu Law 'Anna Baynahā Wa Baynahu 'Amadāan Ba`īdāan Wa Yuĥadhdhirukumu Allāhu Nafsahu Wa Allāhu Ra'ūfun Bil-`Ibādi | 003.030 On the Day when every soul will find itself confronted with all that it hath done of good and all that it hath done of evil (every soul) will long that there might be a mighty space of distance between it and that (evil). Allah biddeth you beware of Him. And Allah is Full of Pity for (His) bondmen. | يَوْمَ تَجِدُ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ خَيْر ٍ مُحْضَرا ً وَمَا عَمِلَتْ مِنْ سُوء ٍ تَوَدُّ لَوْ أَنَّ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ~ُ أَمَدا ً بَعِيدا ً وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَه ُُ وَاللَّهُ رَءُوف ٌ بِالْعِبَادِ |
| Qul 'In Kuntum Tuĥibbūna Allāha Fa Attabi`ūnī Yuĥbibkumu Allāhu Wa Yaghfir Lakum Dhunūbakum Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun | 003.031 Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. | قُلْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ |
| Qul 'Aţī`ū Allāha Wa Ar-Rasūla Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'inna Allāha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Kāfirīna | 003.032 Say: Obey Allah and the messenger. But if they turn away, lo! Allah loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance). | قُلْ أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| 'Inna Allāha Aşţafá 'Ādama Wa Nūĥāan Wa 'Āla 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Āla `Imrān `Alá Al-`Ālamīna | 003.033 Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of 'Imran above (all His) creatures. | إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحا ً وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمرَان عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Dhurrīyatan Ba`đuhā Min Ba`đin Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun | 003.034 They were descendants one of another. Allah is Hearer, Knower. | ذُرِّيَّة ً بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْض ٍ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ |
| 'Idh Qālati Amra'atu `Imrāna Rabbi 'Innī Nadhartu Laka Mā Fī Baţnī Muĥarrarāan Fataqabbal Minnī 'Innaka 'Anta As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu | 003.035 (Remember) when the wife of 'Imran said: My Lord! I have vowed unto Thee that which is in my belly as a consecrated (offering). Accept it from me. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower! | إِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَةُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرا ً فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| Falammā Wađa`at/hā Qālat Rabbi 'Innī Wađa`tuhā 'Unthá Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Wađa`at Wa Laysa Adh-Dhakaru Kāl'unthá Wa 'Innī Sammaytuhā Maryama Wa 'Innī 'U`īdhuhā Bika Wa Dhurrīyatahā Mina Ash-Shayţāni Ar-Rajīmi | 003.036 And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female - Allah knew best of what she was delivered - the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast. | فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَا أُنْثَى وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالأُنْثَى وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ |
| Fataqabbalahā Rabbuhā Biqabūlin Ĥasanin Wa 'Anbatahā Nabātāan Ĥasanāan Wa Kaffalahā Zakarīyā Kullamā Dakhala `Alayhā Zakarīyā Al-Miĥrāba Wajada `Indahā Rizqāan Qāla Yā Maryamu 'Anná Laki Hādhā Qālat Huwa Min `Indi Allāhi 'Inna Allāha Yarzuqu Man Yashā'u Bighayri Ĥisābin | 003.037 And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food) ? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will. | فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَن ٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتاً حَسَنا ً وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّا كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقا ً قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ أَنَّى لَكِ هَذَا قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ |
| Hunālika Da`ā Zakarīyā Rabbahu Qāla Rabbi Hab Lī Min Ladunka Dhurrīyatan Ţayyibatan 'Innaka Samī`u Ad-Du`ā'i | 003.038 Then Zachariah prayed unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Bestow upon me of Thy bounty goodly offspring. Lo! Thou art the Hearer of Prayer. | هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّه ُُ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّة ً طَيِّبَة ً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ |
| Fanādat/hu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Huwa Qā'imun Yuşallī Fī Al-Miĥrābi 'Anna Allāha Yubashshiruka Biyaĥyá Muşaddiqāan Bikalimatin Mina Allāhi Wa Sayyidāan Wa Ĥaşūrāan Wa Nabīyāan Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | 003.039 And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah lordly, chaste, a prophet of the righteous. | فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِم ٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَى مُصَدِّقا ً بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدا ً وَحَصُورا ً وَنَبِيّا ً مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Qāla Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Ghulāmun Wa Qad Balaghaniya Al-Kibaru Wa Amra'atī `Āqirun Qāla Kadhālika Allāhu Yaf`alu Mā Yashā'u | 003.040 He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren ? (The angel) answered: So (it will be). Allah doeth what He will. | قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَم ٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِر ٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللَّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ |
| Qāla Rabbi Aj`al Lī 'Āyatan Qāla 'Āyatuka 'Allā Tukallima An-Nāsa Thalāthata 'Ayyāmin 'Illā Ramzāan Wa Adhkur Rabbaka Kathīrāan Wa Sabbiĥ Bil-`Ashīyi Wa Al-'Ibkāri | 003.041 He said: My Lord! Appoint a token for me. (The angel) said: The token unto thee (shall be) that thou shalt not speak unto mankind three days except by signs. Remember thy Lord much, and praise (Him) in the early hours of night and morning. | قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِي آيَة ً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّام ٍ إِلاَّ رَمْزا ً وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ كَثِيرا ً وَسَبِّحْ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإِبْكَارِ |
| Wa 'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Allāha Aşţafāki Wa Ţahharaki Wa Aşţafāki `Alá Nisā'i Al-`Ālamīna | 003.042 And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. | وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Yā Maryamu Aqnutī Lirabbiki Wa Asjudī Wa Arka`ī Ma`a Ar-Rāki`īna | 003.043 O Mary! Be obedient to thy Lord, prostrate thyself and bow with those who bow (in worship). | يَا مَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِي لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِي وَارْكَعِي مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ |
| Dhālika Min 'Nbā'i Al-Ghaybi Nūĥīhi 'Ilayka Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yulqūna 'Aqlāmahum 'Ayyuhum Yakfulu Maryama Wa Mā Kunta Ladayhim 'Idh Yakhtaşimūna | 003.044 This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon). | ذَلِكَ مِنْ أنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلاَمَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يَكْفُلُ مَرْيَمَ وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ |
| 'Idh Qālati Al-Malā'ikatu Yā Maryamu 'Inna Allāha Yubashshiruki Bikalimatin Minhu Asmuhu Al-Masīĥu `Īsá Abnu Maryama Wajīhāan Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mina Al-Muqarrabīna | 003.045 (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). | إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَامَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَة ٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيها ً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ |
| Wa Yukallimu An-Nāsa Fī Al-Mahdi Wa Kahlāan Wa Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | 003.046 He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous. | وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلا ً وَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Qālat Rabbi 'Anná Yakūnu Lī Waladun Wa Lam Yamsasnī Basharun Qāla Kadhāliki Allāhu Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u 'Idhā Qađá 'Amrāan Fa'innamā Yaqūlu Lahu Kun Fayakūnu | 003.047 She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me ? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. | قَالَتْ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي وَلَد ٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَر ٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكِ اللَّهُ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرا ً فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَه ُُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ |
| Wa Yu`allimuhu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla | 003.048 And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel, | وَيُعَلِّمُهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنجِيلَ |
| Wa Rasūlāan 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Annī Qad Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum 'Annī 'Akhluqu Lakum Mina Aţ-Ţīni Kahay'ati Aţ-Ţayri Fa'anfukhu Fīhi Fayakūnu Ţayrāan Bi'idhni Allāhi Wa 'Ubri'u Al-'Akmaha Wa Al-'Abraşa Wa 'Uĥyi Al-Mawtá Bi'idhni Allāhi Wa 'Unabbi'ukum Bimā Ta'kulūna Wa Mā Taddakhirūna Fī Buyūtikum 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminyna | 003.049 And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers. | وَرَسُولا ً إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنِّي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ أَنِّي أَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيه ِِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرا ً بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَأُبْرِئُ الأَكْمَه ََ وَالأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْيِ الْمَوْتَى بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنينَ |
| Wa Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayya Mina At-Tawrāati Wa Li'uĥilla Lakum Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Ĥurrima `Alaykum Wa Ji'tukum Bi'āyatin Min Rabbikum Fa Attaqū Allāha Wa 'Aţī`ūni | 003.050 And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me. | وَمُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَلِأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَجِئْتُكُمْ بِآيَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
| 'Inna Allāha Rabbī Wa Rabbukum Fā`budūhu Hādhā Şirāţun Mustaqīmun | 003.051 Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path. | إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوه ُُ هَذَا صِرَاط ٌ مُسْتَقِيم ٌ |
| Falammā 'Aĥassa `Īsá Minhumu Al-Kufra Qāla Man 'Anşārī 'Ilá Allāhi Qāla Al-Ĥawārīyūna Naĥnu 'Anşāru Allāhi 'Āmannā Billāhi Wa Ash/had Bi'annā Muslimūna | 003.052 But when Jesus became conscious of their disbelief, he cried: Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah ? The disciples said: We will be Allah's helpers. We believe in Allah, and bear thou witness that we have surrendered (unto Him). | فَلَمَّا أَحَسَّ عِيسَى مِنْهُمُ الْكُفْرَ قَالَ مَنْ أَنْصَارِي إِلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ نَحْنُ أَنْصَارُ اللَّهِ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ |
| Rabbanā 'Āmannā Bimā 'Anzalta Wa Attaba`nā Ar-Rasūla Fāktubnā Ma`a Ash-Shāhidīna | 003.053 Our Lord! We believe in that which Thou hast revealed and we follow him whom Thou hast sent. Enrol us among those who witness (to the truth). | رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |
| Wa Makarū Wa Makara Allāhu Wa Allāhu Khayru Al-Mākirīna | 003.054 And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers. | وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ |
| 'Idh Qāla Allāhu Yā `Īsá 'Innī Mutawaffīka Wa Rāfi`uka 'Ilayya Wa Muţahhiruka Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Jā`ilu Al-Ladhīna Attaba`ūka Fawqa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyā Mati Thumma 'Ilayya Marji`ukum Fa'aĥkumu Baynakum Fīmā Kuntum Fīhi Takhtalifūna | 003.055 (And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ. | إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَاعِيسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيه ِِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fa'u`adhdhibuhum `Adhābāan Shadīdāan Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna | 003.056 As for those who disbelieve I shall chastise them with a heavy chastisement in the world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers. | فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابا ً شَدِيدا ً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fayuwaffīhim 'Ujūrahum Wa Allāhu Lā Yuĥibbu Až-Žālimīna | 003.057 And as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah loveth not wrong-doers. | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Dhālika Natlūhu `Alayka Mina Al-'Āyāti Wa Adh-Dhikri Al-Ĥakīmi | 003.058 This (which) We recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder. | ذَلِكَ نَتْلُوه ُُ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| 'Inna Mathala `Īsá `Inda Allāhi Kamathali 'Ādama Khalaqahu Min Turābin Thumma Qāla Lahu Kun Fayakūnu | 003.059 Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. | إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِنْدَ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ خَلَقَه ُُ مِنْ تُرَاب ٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَه ُُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ |
| Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Falā Takun Mina Al-Mumtarīna | 003.060 (This is) the truth from thy Lord (O Muhammad), so be not thou of those who waver. | الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ |
| Faman Ĥājjaka Fīhi Min Ba`di Mā Jā'aka Mina Al-`Ilmi Faqul Ta`ālaw Nad`u 'Abnā'anā Wa 'Abnā'akum Wa Nisā'anā Wa Nisā'akum Wa 'Anfusanā Wa 'Anfusakum Thumma Nabtahil Fanaj`al La`nata Allāhi `Alá Al-Kādhibīna | 003.061 And whoso disputeth with thee concerning him, after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly (to our Lord) and (solemnly) invoke the curse of Allah upon those who lie. | فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيه ِِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنْفُسَنَا وَأَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ |
| 'Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Qaşaşu Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Mā Min 'Ilahin 'Illā Allāhu Wa 'Inna Allāha Lahuwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | 003.062 Lo! This verily is the true narrative. There is no God save Allah, and lo! Allah, He verily is, is the Mighty, the Wise. | إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْقَصَصُ الْحَقُّ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ~ ٍ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
| Fa'in Tawallaw Fa'inna Allāha `Alīmun Bil-Mufsidīna | 003.063 And if they turn away, then lo! Allah is Aware of (who are) the corrupters. | فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِالْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Ta`ālaw 'Ilá Kalimatin Sawā'in Baynanā Wa Baynakum 'Allā Na`buda 'Illā Allāha Wa Lā Nushrika Bihi Shay'āan Wa Lā Yattakhidha Ba`đunā Ba`đāan 'Arbābāan Min Dūni Allāhi Fa'in Tawallaw Faqūlū Ash/hadū Bi'annā Muslimūna | 003.064 Say: O People of the Scripture! Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him). | قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَة ٍ سَوَاء ٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ أَلاَّ نَعْبُدَ إِلاَّ اللَّهَ وَلاَ نُشْرِكَ بِه ِِ شَيْئا ً وَلاَ يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضاً أَرْبَابا ً مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُولُوا اشْهَدُوا بِأَنَّا مُسْلِمُونَ |
| Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Tuĥājjūna Fī 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mā 'Unzilati At-Tawrāatu Wa Al-'Injīlu 'Illā Min Ba`dihi 'Afalā Ta`qilūna | 003.065 O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him ? Have ye then no sense ? | يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تُحَاجُّونَ فِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ وَالإِنجِيلُ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ~ِ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ |
| Hā'antum Hā'uulā' Ĥājajtum Fīmā Lakum Bihi `Ilmun Falima Tuĥājjūna Fīmā Laysa Lakum Bihi `Ilmun Wa Allāhu Ya`lamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna | 003.066 Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge ? Allah knoweth. Ye know not. | هَاأَنْتُمْ هَاؤُلاَء حَاجَجْتُمْ فِيمَا لَكُمْ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ فَلِمَ تُحَاجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Mā Kāna 'Ibrāhīmu Yahūdīyāan Wa Lā Naşrānīyāan Wa Lakin Kāna Ĥanīfāan Muslimāan Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna | 003.067 Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters. | مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَهُودِيّا ً وَلاَ نَصْرَانِيّا ً وَلَكِنْ كَانَ حَنِيفا ً مُسْلِما ً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |
| 'Inna 'Awlá An-Nāsi Bi'ibrāhīma Lalladhīna Attaba`ūhu Wa Hadhā An-Nabīyu Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Allāhu Wa Līyu Al-Mu'uminīna | 003.068 Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers. | إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوه ُُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Waddat Ţā'ifatun Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Law Yuđillūnakum Wa Mā Yuđillūna 'Illā 'Anfusahum Wa Mā Yash`urūn | 003.069 A party of the People of the Scripture long to make you go astray; and they make none to go astray except themselves, but they perceive not. | وَدَّتْ طَائِفَة ٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يُضِلُّونَكُمْ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلاَّ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُون |
| Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Takfurūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa 'Antum Tash/hadūna | 003.070 O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when ye (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth) ? | يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ |
| Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Talbisūna Al-Ĥaqqa Bil-Bāţili Wa Taktumūna Al-Ĥaqqa Wa 'Antum Ta`lamūna | 003.071 O People of the Scripture! Why confound ye truth with falsehood and knowingly conceal the truth ? | يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَلْبِسُونَ الْحَقَّ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Qālat Ţā'ifatun Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi 'Āminū Bial-Ladhī 'Unzila `Alá Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wajha An-Nahāri Wa Akfurū 'Ākhirahu La`allahum Yarji`ūna | 003.072 And a party of the People of the Scripture say: Believe in that which hath been revealed unto those who believe at the opening of the day, and disbelieve at the end thereof, in order that they may return; | وَقَالَتْ طَائِفَة ٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ آمِنُوا بِالَّذِي أُنْزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَجْهَ النَّهَارِ وَاكْفُرُوا آخِرَه ُُ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ |
| Wa Lā Tu'uminū 'Illā Liman Tabi`a Dīnakum Qul 'Inna Al-Hudá Hudá Allāhi 'An Yu'utá 'Aĥadun Mithla Mā 'Ūtītum 'Aw Yuĥājjūkum `Inda Rabbikum Qul 'Inna Al-Fađla Biyadi Allāhi Yu'utīhi Man Yashā'u Wa Allāhu Wāsi`un `Alīmun | 003.073 And believe not save in one who followeth your religion - Say (O Muhammad): Lo! the guidance is Allah's Guidance - that anyone is given the like of that which was given unto you or that they may argue with you in the presence of their Lord. Say (O Muhammad): Lo! the bounty is in Allah's hand. He bestoweth it on whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing. | وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا إِلاَّ لِمَنْ تَبِعَ دِينَكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ الْهُدَى هُدَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُؤْتَى أَحَد ٌ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيتُمْ أَوْ يُحَاجُّوكُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيم ٌ |
| Yakhtaşşu Biraĥmatihi Man Yashā'u Wa Allāhu Dhū Al-Fađli Al-`Ažīmi | 003.074 He selecteth for His mercy whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty. | يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ |
| Wa Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Man 'In Ta'manhu Biqinţārin Yu'uaddihi 'Ilayka Wa Minhum Man 'In Ta'manhu Bidīnārin Lā Yu'uaddihi 'Ilayka 'Illā Mā Dumta `Alayhi Qā'imāan Dhālika Bi'annahum Qālū Laysa `Alaynā Fī Al-'Ummīyīna Sabīlun Wa Yaqūlūna `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba Wa Hum Ya`lamūna | 003.075 Among the People of the Scripture there is he who, if thou trust him with a weight of treasure, will return it to thee. And among them there is he who, if thou trust him with a piece of gold, will not return it to thee unless thou keep standing over him. That is because they say: We have no duty to the Gentiles. They speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly. | وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنطَار ٍ يُؤَدِّهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَار ٍ لاَ يُؤَدِّهِ~ِ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَائِما ً ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الأُمِّيِّينَ سَبِيل ٌ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Balá Man 'Awfá Bi`ahdihi Wa Attaqá Fa'inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Muttaqīna | 003.076 Nay, but (the chosen of Allah is) he who fulfilleth his pledge and wardeth off (evil); for lo! Allah loveth those who ward off (evil). | بَلَى مَنْ أَوْفَى بِعَهْدِه ِِ وَاتَّقَى فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yashtarūna Bi`ahdi Allāhi Wa 'Aymānihim Thamanāan Qalīlāan 'Ūlā'ika Lā Khalāqa Lahum Fī Al-'Ākhirati Wa Lā Yukallimuhumu Allāhu Wa Lā Yanžuru 'Ilayhim Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Lā Yuzakkīhim Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun | 003.077 Lo! those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths, they have no portion in the Hereafter. Allah will neither speak to them nor look upon them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلاً أُوْلَائِكَ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلاَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Wa 'Inna Minhum Lafarīqāan Yalwūna 'Alsinatahum Bil-Kitābi Litaĥsabūhu Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Mā Huwa Mina Al-Kitābi Wa Yaqūlūna Huwa Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Mā Huwa Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Yaqūlūna `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba Wa Hum Ya`lamūna | 003.078 And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly. | وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقا ً يَلْوُونَ أَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتَابِ لِتَحْسَبُوه ُُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Mā Kāna Libasharin 'An Yu'utiyahu Allāhu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata Thumma Yaqūla Lilnnāsi Kūnū `Ibādāan Lī Min Dūni Allāhi Wa Lakin Kūnū Rabbānīyīna Bimā Kuntum Tu`allimūna Al-Kitāba Wa Bimā Kuntum Tadrusūna | 003.079 It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given the Scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah; but (what he said was): Be ye faithful servants of the Lord by virtue of your constant teaching of the Scripture and of your constant study thereof. | مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادا ً لِي مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ |
| Wa Lā Ya'murakum 'An Tattakhidhū Al-Malā'ikata Wa An-Nabīyīna 'Arbābāan 'Aya'murukum Bil-Kufri Ba`da 'Idh 'Antum Muslimūna | 003.080 And he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to Allah) ? | وَلاَ يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلاَئِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَاباً أَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ |
| Wa 'Idh 'Akhadha Allāhu Mīthāqa An-Nabīyīna Lamā 'Ātaytukum Min Kitābin Wa Ĥikmatin Thumma Jā'akum Rasūlun Muşaddiqun Limā Ma`akum Latu'uminunna Bihi Wa Latanşurunnahu Qāla 'A'aqrartum Wa 'Akhadhtum `Alá Dhālikum 'Işrī Qālū 'Aqrarnā Qāla Fāsh/hadū Wa 'Anā Ma`akum Mina Ash-Shāhidīna | 003.081 When Allah made (His) covenant with the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of the Scripture and knowledge. And afterward there will come unto you a messenger, confirming that which ye possess. Ye shall believe in him and ye shall help him. He said: Do ye agree, and will ye take up My burden (which I lay upon you) in this (matter) ? They answered: We agree. He said: Then bear ye witness. I will be a witness with you. | وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّينَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُمْ مِنْ كِتَاب ٍ وَحِكْمَة ٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُول ٌ مُصَدِّق ٌ لِمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِه ِِ وَلَتَنْصُرُنَّه ُُ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكُمْ إِصْرِي قَالُوا أَقْرَرْنَا قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ |
| Faman Tawallá Ba`da Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Fāsiqūna | 003.082 Then whosoever after this shall turn away: they will be miscreants. | فَمَنْ تَوَلَّى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ |
| 'Afaghayra Dīni Allāhi Yabghūna Wa Lahu 'Aslama Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Ţaw`āan Wa Karhāan Wa 'Ilayhi Yurja`ūna | 003.083 Seek they other than the religion of Allah, when unto Him submitteth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and unto Him they will be returned. | أَفَغَيْرَ دِينِ اللَّهِ يَبْغُونَ وَلَهُ~ُ أَسْلَمَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعا ً وَكَرْها ً وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ |
| Qul 'Āmannā Billāhi Wa Mā 'Unzila `Alaynā Wa Mā 'Unzila `Alá 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Ismā`īla Wa 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba Wa Al-'Asbāţi Wa Mā 'Ūtiya Mūsá Wa `Īsá Wa An-Nabīyūna Min Rabbihim Lā Nufarriqu Bayna 'Aĥadin Minhum Wa Naĥnu Lahu Muslimūna | 003.084 Say (O Muhammad): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and that which was vouchsafed unto Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered. | قُلْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ لاَ نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَد ٍ مِنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَه ُُ مُسْلِمُونَ |
| Wa Man Yabtaghi Ghayra Al-'Islāmi Dīnāan Falan Yuqbala Minhu Wa Huwa Fī Al-'Ākhirati Mina Al-Khāsirīna | 003.085 And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter. | وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلاَمِ دِينا ً فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
| Kayfa Yahdī Allāhu Qawmāan Kafarū Ba`da 'Īmānihim Wa Shahidū 'Anna Ar-Rasūla Ĥaqqun Wa Jā'ahumu Al-Bayyinātu Wa Allāhu Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna | 003.086 How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger is true and after clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) had come unto them. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. | كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ قَوْما ً كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُولَ حَقّ ٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| 'Ūlā'ika Jazā'uuhum 'Anna `Alayhim La`nata Allāhi Wa Al-Malā'ikati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna | 003.087 As for such, their guerdon is that on them rests the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined. | أُوْلَائِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ أَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ |
| Khālidīna Fīhā Lā Yukhaffafu `Anhumu Al-`Adhābu Wa Lā Hum Yunžarūna | 003.088 They will abide therein. Their doom will not be lightened, neither will they be reprieved; | خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلاَ هُمْ يُنْظَرُونَ |
| 'Illā Al-Ladhīna Tābū Min Ba`di Dhālika Wa 'Aşlaĥū Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun | 003.089 Save those who afterward repent and do right. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. | إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ba`da 'Īmānihim Thumma Azdādū Kufrāan Lan Tuqbala Tawbatuhum Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Ađ-Đāllūna | 003.090 Lo! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. And such are those who are astray. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيمَانِهِمْ ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرا ً لَنْ تُقْبَلَ تَوْبَتُهُمْ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الضَّالُّونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Mātū Wa Hum Kuffārun Falan Yuqbala Min 'Aĥadihim Mil'u Al-'Arđi Dhahabāan Wa Law Aftadá Bihi 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna | 003.091 Lo! those who disbelieve, and die in disbelief, the (whole) earth full of gold would not be accepted from such an one if it were offered as a ransom (for his soul). Theirs will be a painful doom and they will have no helpers. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّار ٌ فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمْ مِلْءُ الأَرْضِ ذَهَبا ً وَلَوْ افْتَدَى بِهِ~ِ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| Lan Tanālū Al-Birra Ĥattá Tunfiqū Mimmā Tuĥibbūna Wa Mā Tunfiqū Min Shay'in Fa'inna Allāha Bihi `Alīmun | 003.092 Ye will not attain unto piety until ye spend of that which ye love. And whatsoever ye spend, Allah is Aware thereof. | لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِه ِِ عَلِيم ٌ |
| Kullu Aţ-Ţa`āmi Kāna Ĥillāan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Illā Mā Ĥarrama 'Isrā'īlu `Alá Nafsihi Min Qabli 'An Tunazzala At-Tawrāatu Qul Fa'tū Bit-Tawrāati Fātlūhā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | 003.093 All food was lawful unto the Children of Israel, save that which Israel forbade himself, (in days) before the Torah was revealed. Say: Produce the Torah and read it (unto us) if ye are truthful. | كُلُّ الطَّعَامِ كَانَ حِلّا ً لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلاَّ مَا حَرَّمَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَلَى نَفْسِه ِِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تُنَزَّلَ التَّوْرَاةُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Famani Aftará `Alá Allāhi Al-Kadhiba Min Ba`di Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Až-Žālimūna | 003.094 And whoever shall invent a falsehood after that concerning Allah, such will be wrong-doers. | فَمَنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ الكَذِبَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ |
| Qul Şadaqa Allāhu Fa Attabi`ū Millata 'Ibrāhīma Ĥanīfāan Wa Mā Kāna Mina Al-Mushrikīna | 003.095 Say: Allah speaketh truth. So follow the religion of Abraham, the upright. He was not of the idolaters. | قُلْ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ فَاتَّبِعُوا مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفا ً وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |
| 'Inna 'Awwala Baytin Wuđi`a Lilnnāsi Lalladhī Bibakkata Mubārakāan Wa Hudáan Lil`ālamīna | 003.096 Lo! the first Sanctuary appointed for mankind was that at Becca, a blessed place, a guidance to the peoples; | إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْت ٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكا ً وَهُدى ً لِلْعَالَمِينَ |
| Fīhi 'Āyātun Bayyinātun Maqāmu 'Ibrāhīma Wa Man Dakhalahu Kāna 'Āmināan Wa Lillahi `Alá An-Nāsi Ĥijju Al-Bayti Mani Astaţā`a 'Ilayhi Sabīlāan Wa Man Kafara Fa'inna Allāha Ghanīyun `Ani Al-`Ālamīna | 003.097 Wherein are plain memorials (of Allah's guidance); the place where Abraham stood up to pray; and whosoever entereth it is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty unto Allah for mankind, for him who can find a way thither. As for him who disbelieveth, (let him know that) lo! Allah is Independent of (all) creatures. | فِيهِ آيَات ٌ بَيِّنَات ٌ مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَنْ دَخَلَه ُُ كَانَ آمِنا ً وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا ً وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Takfurūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Allāhu Shahīdun `Alá Mā Ta`malūna | 003.098 Say: O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when Allah (Himself) is Witness of what ye do ? | قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Qul Yā 'Ahla Al-Kitābi Lima Taşuddūna `An Sabīli Allāhi Man 'Āmana Tabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa 'Antum Shuhadā'u Wa Mā Allāhu Bighāfilin `Ammā Ta`malūna | 003.099 Say: O People of the Scripture! Why drive ye back believers from the way of Allah, seeking to make it crooked, when ye are witnesses (to Allah's guidance) ? Allah is not unaware of what ye do. | قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لِمَ تَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ تَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجا ً وَأَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Tuţī`ū Farīqāan Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Yaruddūkum Ba`da 'Īmānikum Kāfirīna | 003.100 O ye who believe! If ye obey a party of those who have received the Scripture they will make you disbelievers after your belief. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا فَرِيقا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ كَافِرِينَ |
| Wa Kayfa Takfurūna Wa 'Antum Tutlá `Alaykum 'Āyātu Allāhi Wa Fīkum Rasūluhu Wa Man Ya`taşim Billāhi Faqad Hudiya 'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin | 003.101 How can ye disbelieve, when it is ye unto whom Allah's revelations are recited, and His messenger is in your midst ? He who holdeth fast to Allah, he indeed is guided unto a right path. | وَكَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُه ُُ وَمَنْ يَعْتَصِمْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ هُدِيَ إِلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Attaqū Allāha Ĥaqqa Tuqātihi Wa Lā Tamūtunna 'Illā Wa 'Antum Muslimūna | 003.102 O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with right observance, and die not save as those who have surrendered (unto Him) | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِه ِِ وَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ |
| Wa A`taşimū Biĥabli Allāhi Jamī`āan Wa Lā Tafarraqū Wa Adhkurū Ni`mata Allāhi `Alaykum 'Idh Kuntum 'A`dā'an Fa'allafa Bayna Qulūbikum Fa'aşbaĥtum Bini`matihi 'Ikhwānāan Wa Kuntum `Alá Shafā Ĥufratin Mina An-Nāri Fa'anqadhakum Minhā Kadhālika Yubayyinu Allāhu Lakum 'Āyātihi La`allakum Tahtadūna | 003.103 And hold fast, all of you together, to the cable of Allah, and do not separate. And remember Allah's favour unto you: How ye were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that ye became as brothers by His grace; and (how) ye were upon the brink of an abyss of fire, and He did save you from it. Thus Allah maketh clear His revelations unto you, that haply ye may be guided, | وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعا ً وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاء ً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ~ِ إِخْوَانا ً وَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَة ٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَأَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِه ِِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ |
| Wa Ltakun Minkum 'Ummatun Yad`ūna 'Ilá Al-Khayri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna | 003.104 And there may spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they who are successful. | وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّة ٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
| Wa Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Tafarraqū Wa Akhtalafū Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-Bayyinātu Wa 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun | 003.105 And be ye not as those who separated and disputed after the clear proofs had come unto them. For such there is an awful doom, | وَلاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاخْتَلَفُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَأُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ |
| Yawma Tabyađđu Wujūhun Wa Taswaddu Wujūhun Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Aswaddat Wujūhuhum 'Akafartum Ba`da 'Īmānikum Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna | 003.106 On the Day when (some) faces will be whitened and (some) faces will be blackened; and as for those whose faces have been blackened, it will be said unto them: Disbelieved ye after your (profession of) belief ? Then taste the punishment for that ye disbelieved. | يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوه ٌ ٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوه ٌ ٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكَفَرْتُمْ بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Abyađđat Wujūhuhum Fafī Raĥmati Allāhi Hum Fīhā Khālidūna | 003.107 And as for those whose faces have been whitened, in the mercy of Allah they dwell for ever. | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ ابْيَضَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فَفِي رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Tilka 'Āyātu Allāhi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Mā Allāhu Yurīdu Žulmāan Lil`ālamīna | 003.108 These are revelations of Allah. We recite them unto thee in truth. Allah willeth no injustice to (His) creatures. | تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَمَا اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ ظُلْما ً لِلْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Wa 'Ilá Allāhi Turja`u Al-'Umūru | 003.109 Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; and unto Allah all things are returned. | وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ |
| Kuntum Khayra 'Ummatin 'Ukhrijat Lilnnāsi Ta'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Tanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Tu'uminūna Billāhi Wa Law 'Āmana 'Ahlu Al-Kitābi Lakāna Khayrāan Lahum Minhumu Al-Mu'uminūna Wa 'Aktharuhumu Al-Fāsiqūna | 003.110 Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers. | كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرا ً لَهُمْ مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ |
| Lan Yađurrūkum 'Illā 'Adháan Wa 'In Yuqātilūkum Yuwallūkumu Al-'Adbāra Thumma Lā Yunşarūna | 003.111 They will not harm you save a trifling hurt, and if they fight against you they will turn and flee. And afterward they will not be helped. | لَنْ يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلاَّ أَذى ً وَإِنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنْصَرُونَ |
| Đuribat `Alayhimu Adh-Dhillatu 'Ayna Mā Thuqifū 'Illā Biĥablin Mina Allāhi Wa Ĥablin Mina An-Nāsi Wa Bā'ū Bighađabin Mina Allāhi Wa Đuribat `Alayhimu Al-Maskanatu Dhālika Bi'annahum Kānū Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Yaqtulūna Al-'Anbiyā'a Bighayri Ĥaqqin Dhālika Bimā `Aşaw Wa Kānū Ya`tadūna | 003.112 Ignominy shall be their portion wheresoever they are found save (where they grasp) a rope from Allah and a rope from men. They have incurred anger from their Lord, and wretchedness is laid upon them. That is because they used to disbelieve the revelations of Allah, and slew the prophets wrongfully. That is because they were rebellious and used to transgress. | ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوا إِلاَّ بِحَبْل ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَبْل ٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَب ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الأَنبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ |
| Laysū Sawā'an Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi 'Ummatun Qā'imatun Yatlūna 'Āyāti Allāhi 'Ānā'a Al-Layli Wa Hum Yasjudūna | 003.113 They are not all alike. Of the People of the Scripture there is a staunch community who recite the revelations of Allah in the night season, falling prostrate (before Him). | لَيْسُوا سَوَاء ً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّة ٌ قَائِمَة ٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ |
| Yu'uminūna Billāhi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-'Ākhiri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Khayrāti Wa 'Ūlā'ika Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna | 003.114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency, and vie one with another in good works. These are of the righteous. | يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُوْلَائِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ |
| Wa Mā Yaf`alū Min Khayrin Falan Yukfarūhu Wa Allāhu `Alīmun Bil-Muttaqīna | 003.115 And whatever good they do, they will not be denied the meed thereof. Allah is Aware of those who ward off (evil). | وَمَا يَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْر ٍ فَلَنْ يُكْفَرُوه ُُ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيم ٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Allāhi Shay'āan Wa 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna | 003.116 Lo! the riches and the progeny of those who disbelieve will not avail them aught against Allah; and such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلاَ أَوْلاَدُهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً وَأُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Mathalu Mā Yunfiqūna Fī Hadhihi Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamathali Rīĥin Fīhā Şirrun 'Aşābat Ĥartha Qawmin Žalamū 'Anfusahum Fa'ahlakat/hu Wa Mā Žalamahumu Allāhu Wa Lakin 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna | 003.117 The likeness of that which they spend in this life of the world is as the likeness of a biting, icy wind which smiteth the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and devastateth it. Allah wronged them not, but they do wrong themselves. | مَثَلُ مَا يُنْفِقُونَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ رِيح ٍ فِيهَا صِرٌّ أَصَابَتْ حَرْثَ قَوْم ٍ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَأَهْلَكَتْهُ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَلَكِنْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tattakhidhū Biţānatan Min Dūnikum Lā Ya'lūnakum Khabālāan Wa Ddū Mā `Anittum Qad Badati Al-Baghđā'u Min 'Afwāhihim Wa Mā Tukhfī Şudūruhum 'Akbaru Qad Bayyannā Lakumu Al-'Āyāti 'In Kuntum Ta`qilūna | 003.118 O ye who believe! Take not for intimates others than your own folk, who would spare no pains to ruin you; they love to hamper you. Hatred is revealed by (the utterance of) their mouths, but that which their breasts hide is greater. We have made plain for you the revelations if ye will understand. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا بِطَانَة ً مِنْ دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالا ً وَدُّوا مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ |
| Hā'antum 'Ūlā'i Tuĥibbūnahum Wa Lā Yuĥibbūnakum Wa Tu'uminūna Bil-Kitābi Kullihi Wa 'Idhā Laqūkum Qālū 'Āmannā Wa 'Idhā Khalaw `Ađđū `Alaykumu Al-'Anāmila Mina Al-Ghayži Qul Mūtū Bighayžikum 'Inna Allāha `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri | 003.119 Lo! ye are those who love them though they love you not, and ye believe in all the Scripture. When they fall in with you they say: We believe; but when they go apart they bite their finger-tips at you, for rage. Say: Perish in your rage! Lo! Allah is Aware of what is hidden in (your) breasts. | هَاأَنْتُمْ أُوْلاَءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّه ِِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا عَضُّوا عَلَيْكُمُ الأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الغَيْظِ قُلْ مُوتُوا بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
| 'In Tamsaskum Ĥasanatun Tasu'uhum Wa 'In Tuşibkum Sayyi'atun Yafraĥū Bihā Wa 'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Lā Yađurrukum Kayduhum Shay'āan 'Inna Allāha Bimā Ya`malūna Muĥīţun | 003.120 If a lucky chance befall you, it is evil unto them, and if disaster strike you they rejoice thereat. But if ye persevere and keep from evil their guile will never harm you. Lo! Allah is Surrounding what they do. | إِنْ تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَة ٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِنْ تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَة ٌ يَفْرَحُوا بِهَا وَإِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئا ً إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيط ٌ |
| Wa 'Idh Ghadawta Min 'Ahlika Tubawwi'u Al-Mu'uminīna Maqā`ida Lilqitāli Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun | 003.121 And when thou settedst forth at daybreak from thy housefolk to assign to the believers their positions for the battle, Allah was Hearer, Knower. | وَإِذْ غَدَوْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ تُبَوِّئُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَقَاعِدَ لِلْقِتَالِ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ |
| 'Idh Hammat Ţā'ifatāni Minkum 'An Tafshalā Wa Allāhu Walīyuhumā Wa `Alá Allāhi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu'uminūna | 003.122 When two parties of you almost fell away, and Allah was their Protecting Friend. In Allah let believers put their trust. | إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلاَ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Naşarakumu Allāhu Bibadrin Wa 'Antum 'Adhillatun Fa Attaqū Allāha La`allakum Tashkurūna | 003.123 Allah had already given you the victory at Badr, when ye were contemptible. So observe your duty to Allah in order that ye may be thankful. | وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْر ٍ وَأَنْتُمْ أَذِلَّة ٌ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
| 'Idh Taqūlu Lilmu'uminīna 'Alan Yakfiyakum 'An Yumiddakum Rabbukum Bithalāthati 'Ālāfin Mina Al-Malā'ikati Munzalīna | 003.124 When thou didst say unto the believers: Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should support you with three thousand angels sent down (to your help) ? | إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَنْ يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَنْ يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِثَلاَثَةِ آلاَف ٍ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ مُنْزَلِينَ |
| Balá 'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Wa Ya'tūkum Min Fawrihim Hādhā Yumdidkum Rabbukum Bikhamsati 'Ālāfin Mina Al-Malā'ikati Musawwimīna | 003.125 Nay, but if ye persevere, and keep from evil, and (the enemy) attack you suddenly, your Lord will help you with five thousand angels sweeping on. | بَلَى إِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا وَيَأْتُوكُمْ مِنْ فَوْرِهِمْ هَذَا يُمْدِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِخَمْسَةِ آلاَف ٍ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ |
| Wa Mā Ja`alahu Allāhu 'Illā Bushrá Lakum Wa Litaţma'inna Qulūbukum Bihi Wa Mā An-Naşru 'Illā Min `Indi Allāhi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi | 003.126 Allah ordained this only as a message of good cheer for you, and that thereby your hearts might be at rest - Victory cometh only from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise - | وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بُشْرَى لَكُمْ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُكُمْ بِه ِِ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلاَّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| Liyaqţa`a Ţarafāan Mina Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Aw Yakbitahum Fayanqalibū Khā'ibīna | 003.127 That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or overwhelm them so that they retire, frustrated. | لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفا ً مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنْقَلِبُوا خَائِبِينَ |
| Laysa Laka Mina Al-'Amri Shay'un 'Aw Yatūba `Alayhim 'Aw Yu`adhdhibahum Fa'innahum Žālimūna | 003.128 It is no concern at all of thee (Muhammad) whether He relent toward them or punish them; for they are evil-doers. | لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ |
| Wa Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Yaghfiru Liman Yashā'u Wa Yu`adhdhibu Man Yashā'u Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun | 003.129 Unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. He forgiveth whom He will, and punisheth whom He will. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. | وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Ta'kulū Ar-Ribā 'Ađ`āfāan Muđā`afatan Wa Attaqū Allāha La`allakum Tufliĥūna | 003.130 O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubling and quadrupling (the sum lent). Observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا أَضْعَافا ً مُضَاعَفَة ً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ |
| Wa Attaqū An-Nāra Allatī 'U`iddat Lilkāfirīna | 003.131 And ward off (from yourselves) the Fire prepared for disbelievers. | وَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ |
| Wa 'Aţī`ū Allāha Wa Ar-Rasūla La`allakum Turĥamūna | 003.132 And obey Allah and the messenger, that ye may find mercy. | وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ |
| Wa Sāri`ū 'Ilá Maghfiratin Min Rabbikum Wa Jannatin `Arđuhā As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'U`iddat Lilmuttaqīna | 003.133 And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil); | وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yunfiqūna Fī As-Sarrā'i Wa Ađ-Đarrā'i Wa Al-Kāžimīna Al-Ghayža Wa Al-`Āfīna `Ani An-Nāsi Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna | 003.134 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; | الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā Fa`alū Fāĥishatan 'Aw Žalamū 'Anfusahum Dhakarū Allāha Fāstaghfarū Lidhunūbihim Wa Man Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba 'Illā Allāhu Wa Lam Yuşirrū `Alá Mā Fa`alū Wa Hum Ya`lamūna | 003.135 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only ? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. | وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَنْ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Ūlā'ika Jazā'uuhum Maghfiratun Min Rabbihim Wa Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Wa Ni`ma 'Ajru Al-`Āmilīna | 003.136 The reward of such will be forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever - a bountiful reward for workers! | أُوْلَائِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ |
| Qad Khalat Min Qablikum Sunanun Fasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mukadhdhibīna | 003.137 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). | قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سُنَن ٌ فَسِيرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ |
| Hādhā Bayānun Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Maw`ižatun Lilmuttaqīna | 003.138 This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil) | هَذَا بَيَان ٌ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدى ً وَمَوْعِظَة ٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ |
| Wa Lā Tahinū Wa Lā Taĥzanū Wa 'Antumu Al-'A`lawna 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna | 003.139 Faint not nor grieve, for ye will overcome them if ye are (indeed) believers. | وَلاَ تَهِنُوا وَلاَ تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنْتُمُ الأَعْلَوْنَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| 'In Yamsaskum Qarĥun Faqad Massa Al-Qawma Qarĥun Mithluhu Wa Tilka Al-'Ayyāmu Nudāwiluhā Bayna An-Nāsi Wa Liya`lama Allāhu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Yattakhidha Minkum Shuhadā'a Wa Allāhu Lā Yuĥibbu Až-Žālimīna | 003.140 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. | إِنْ يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْح ٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْح ٌ مِثْلُه ُُ وَتِلْكَ الأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنْكُمْ شُهَدَاءَ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Wa Liyumaĥĥişa Allāhu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Yamĥaqa Al-Kāfirīna | 003.141 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. | وَلِيُمَحِّصَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَيَمْحَقَ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| 'Am Ĥasibtum 'An Tadkhulū Al-Jannata Wa Lammā Ya`lami Allāhu Al-Ladhīna Jāhadū Minkum Wa Ya`lama Aş-Şābirīna | 003.142 Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast ? | أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصَّابِرِينَ |
| Wa Laqad Kuntum Tatamannawn Al-Mawta Min Qabli 'An Talqawhu Faqad Ra'aytumūhu Wa 'Antum Tanžurūna | 003.143 And verily ye used to wish for death before ye met it (in the field). Now ye have seen it with your eyes! | وَلَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ تَتَمَنَّوْن الْمَوْتَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوه ُُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُونَ |
| Wa Mā Muĥammadun 'Illā Rasūlun Qad Khalat Min Qablihi Ar-Rusulu 'Afa'īn Māta 'Aw Qutila Anqalabtum `Alá 'A`qābikum Wa Man Yanqalib `Alá `Aqibayhi Falan Yađurra Allāha Shay'āan Wa Sayajzī Allāhu Ash-Shākirīna | 003.144 Muhammad is but a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) have passed away before him. Will it be that, when he dieth or is slain, ye will turn back on your heels ? He who turneth back on his heels doth no hurt to Allah, and Allah will reward the thankful. | وَمَا مُحَمَّد ٌ إِلاَّ رَسُول ٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ أَفَإِيْن مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ انْقَلَبْتُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ وَمَنْ يَنْقَلِبْ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ فَلَنْ يَضُرَّ اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً وَسَيَجْزِي اللَّهُ الشَّاكِرِينَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Linafsin 'An Tamūta 'Illā Bi'idhni Allāhi Kitābāan Mu'uajjalāan Wa Man Yurid Thawāba Ad-Dunyā Nu'utihi Minhā Wa Man Yurid Thawāba Al-'Ākhirati Nu'utihi Minhā Wa Sanajzī Ash-Shākirīna | 003.145 No soul can ever die except by Allah's leave and at a term appointed. Whoso desireth the reward of the world, We bestow on him thereof; and whoso desireth the reward of the Hereafter, We bestow on him thereof. We shall reward the thankful. | وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ كِتَابا ً مُؤَجَّلا ً وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِه ِِ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِه ِِ مِنْهَا وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِينَ |
| Wa Ka'ayyin Min Nabīyin Qātala Ma`ahu Ribbīyūna Kathīrun Famā Wahanū Limā 'Aşābahum Fī Sabīli Allāhi Wa Mā Đa`ufū Wa Mā Astakānū Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Aş-Şābirīna | 003.146 And with how many a prophet have there been a number of devoted men who fought (beside him). They quailed not for aught that befell them in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken, nor were they brought low. Allah loveth the steadfast. | وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيّ ٍ قَاتَلَ مَعَه ُُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِير ٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Qawlahum 'Illā 'An Qālū Rabbanā Aghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa 'Isrāfanā Fī 'Amrinā Wa Thabbit 'Aqdāmanā Wa Anşurnā `Alá Al-Qawmi Al-Kāfirīna | 003.147 Their cry was only that they said: Our Lord! forgive us for our sins and wasted efforts, make our foothold sure, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk. | وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Fa'ātāhumu Allāhu Thawāba Ad-Dunyā Wa Ĥusna Thawābi Al-'Ākhirati Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muĥsinīna | 003.148 So Allah gave them the reward of the world and the good reward of the Hereafter. Allah loveth those whose deeds are good. | فَآتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا وَحُسْنَ ثَوَابِ الآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'In Tuţī`ū Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Yaruddūkum `Alá 'A`qābikum Fatanqalibū Khāsirīna | 003.149 O ye who believe! if ye obey those who disbelieve, they will make you turn back on your heels, and ye turn back as losers. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ |
| Bali Allāhu Mawlākum Wa Huwa Khayru An-Nāşirīna | 003.150 But Allah is your Protector, and He is the Best of Helpers. | بَلِ اللَّهُ مَوْلاَكُمْ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ النَّاصِرِينَ |
| Sanulqī Fī Qulūbi Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Ar-Ru`ba Bimā 'Ashrakū Billāhi Mā Lam Yunazzil Bihi Sulţānāan Wa Ma'wāhumu An-Nāru Wa Bi'sa Mathwá Až-Žālimīna | 003.151 We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed. Their habitation is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrong-doers. | سَنُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ بِمَا أَشْرَكُوا بِاللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِه ِِ سُلْطَانا ً وَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Wa Laqad Şadaqakumu Allāhu Wa`dahu 'Idh Taĥussūnahum Bi'idhnihi Ĥattá 'Idhā Fashiltum Wa Tanāza`tum Fī Al-'Amri Wa `Aşaytum Min Ba`di Mā 'Arākum Mā Tuĥibbūna Minkum Man Yurīdu Ad-Dunyā Wa Minkum Man Yurīdu Al-'Ākhirata Thumma Şarafakum `Anhum Liyabtaliyakum Wa Laqad `Afā `Ankum Wa Allāhu Dhū Fađlin `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna | 003.152 Allah verily made good His promise unto you when ye routed them by His leave, until (the moment) when your courage failed you, and ye disagreed about the order and ye disobeyed, after He had shown you that for which ye long. Some of you desired the world, and some of you desired the Hereafter. Therefore He made you flee from them, that He might try you. Yet now He hath forgiven you. Allah is a Lord of Kindness to believers. | وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ~ُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِإِذْنِه ِِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُمْ مَا تُحِبُّونَ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنْكُمْ وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| 'Idh Tuş`idūna Wa Lā Talwūna `Alá 'Aĥadin Wa Ar-Rasūlu Yad`ūkum Fī 'Ukhrākum Fa'athābakum Ghammāan Bighammin Likaylā Taĥzanū `Alá Mā Fātakum Wa Lā Mā 'Aşābakum Wa Allāhu Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna | 003.153 When ye climbed (the hill) and paid no heed to anyone, while the messenger, in your rear, was calling you (to fight). Therefor He rewarded you grief for (his) grief, that (He might teach) you not to sorrow either for that which ye missed or for that which befell you. Allah is Informed of what ye do. | إِذْ تُصْعِدُونَ وَلاَ تَلْوُونَ عَلَى أَحَد ٍ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ فِي أُخْرَاكُمْ فَأَثَابَكُمْ غَمّا ً بِغَمّ ٍ لِكَيْلاَ تَحْزَنُوا عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلاَ مَا أَصَابَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ خَبِير ٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Thumma 'Anzala `Alaykum Min Ba`di Al-Ghammi 'Amanatan Nu`āsāan Yaghshá Ţā'ifatan Minkum Wa Ţā'ifatun Qad 'Ahammat/hum 'Anfusuhum Yažunnūna Billāhi Ghayra Al-Ĥaqqi Žanna Al-Jāhilīyati Yaqūlūna Hal Lanā Mina Al-'Amri Min Shay'in Qul 'Inna Al-'Amra Kullahu Lillāhi Yukhfūna Fī 'Anfusihim Mā Lā Yubdūna Laka Yaqūlūna Law Kāna Lanā Mina Al-'Amri Shay'un Mā Qutilnā Hāhunā Qul Law Kuntum Fī Buyūtikum Labaraza Al-Ladhīna Kutiba `Alayhimu Al-Qatlu 'Ilá Mađāji`ihim Wa Liyabtaliya Allāhu Mā Fī Şudūrikum Wa Liyumaĥĥişa Mā Fī Qulūbikum Wa Allāhu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri | 003.154 Then, after grief, He sent down security for you. As slumber did it overcome a party of you, while (the other) party, who were anxious on their own account, thought wrongly of Allah, the thought of ignorance. They said: Have we any part in the cause ? Say (O Muhammad): The cause belongeth wholly to Allah. They hide within themselves (a thought) which they reveal not unto thee, saying: Had we had any part in the cause we should not have been slain here. Say: Even though ye had been in your houses, those appointed to be slain would have gone forth to the places where they were to lie. (All this hath been) in order that Allah might try what is in your breasts and prove what is in your hearts. Allah is Aware of what is hidden in the breasts (of men). | ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ أَمَنَة ً نُعَاسا ً يَغْشَى طَائِفَة ً مِنْكُمْ وَطَائِفَة ٌ قَدْ أَهَمَّتْهُمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِاللَّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ لَنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ قُلْ إِنَّ الأَمْرَ كُلَّه ُُ لِلَّهِ يُخْفُونَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ مَا لاَ يُبْدُونَ لَكَ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْء ٌ مَا قُتِلْنَا هَاهُنَا قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذِينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَى مَضَاجِعِهِمْ وَلِيَبْتَلِيَ اللَّهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Tawallaw Minkum Yawma At-Taqá Al-Jam`āni 'Innamā Astazallahumu Ash-Shayţānu Biba`đi Mā Kasabū Wa Laqad `Afā Allāhu `Anhum 'Inna Allāha Ghafūrun Ĥalīmun | 003.155 Lo! those of you who turned back on the day when the two hosts met, Satan alone it was who caused them to backslide, because of some of that which they have earned. Now Allah hath forgiven them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Clement. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْا مِنْكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ إِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِبَعْضِ مَا كَسَبُوا وَلَقَدْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيم ٌ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna Kafarū Wa Qālū Li'khwānihim 'Idhā Đarabū Fī Al-'Arđi 'Aw Kānū Ghuzzáan Law Kānū `Indanā Mā Mātū Wa Mā Qutilū Liyaj`ala Allāhu Dhālika Ĥasratan Fī Qulūbihim Wa Allāhu Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun | 003.156 O ye who believe! Be not as those who disbelieved and said of their brethren who went abroad in the land or were fighting in the field: If they had been (here) with us they would not have died or been killed: that Allah may make it anguish in their hearts. Allah giveth life and causeth death; and Allah is Seer of what ye do. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقَالُوا لِأخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُوا غُزّى ً لَوْ كَانُوا عِنْدَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُوا لِيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَة ً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ |
| Wa La'in Qutiltum Fī Sabīli Allāhi 'Aw Muttum Lamaghfiratun Mina Allāhi Wa Raĥmatun Khayrun Mimmā Yajma`ūna | 003.157 And what though ye be slain in Allah's way or die therein ? Surely pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all that they amass. | وَلَئِنْ قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَة ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْر ٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ |
| Wa La'in Muttum 'Aw Qutiltum La'ilá Allāhi Tuĥsharūna | 003.158 What though ye be slain or die, when unto Allah ye are gathered ? | وَلَئِنْ مُتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُحْشَرُونَ |
| Fabimā Raĥmatin Mina Allāhi Linta Lahum Wa Law Kunta Fažžāan Ghalīža Al-Qalbi Lānfađđū Min Ĥawlika Fā`fu `Anhum Wa Astaghfir Lahum Wa Shāwirhum Fī Al-'Amri Fa'idhā `Azamta Fatawakkal `Alá Allāhi 'Inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Mutawakkilīna | 003.159 It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them (O Muhammad), for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. And when thou art resolved, then put thy trust in Allah. Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust (in Him). | فَبِمَا رَحْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظّاً غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ |
| 'In Yanşurkumu Allāhu Falā Ghāliba Lakum Wa 'In Yakhdhulkum Faman Dhā Al-Ladhī Yanşurukum Min Ba`dihi Wa `Alá Allāhi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu'uminūna | 003.160 If Allah is your helper none can overcome you, and if He withdraw His help from you, who is there who can help you after Him ? In Allah let believers put their trust. | إِنْ يَنْصُرْكُمُ اللَّهُ فَلاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمْ وَإِنْ يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Linabīyin 'An Yaghulla Wa Man Yaghlul Ya'ti Bimā Ghalla Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Thumma Tuwaffá Kullu Nafsin Mā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | 003.161 It is not for any prophet to embezzle. Whoso embezzleth will bring what he embezzled with him on the Day of Resurrection. Then every soul will be paid in full what it hath earned; and they will not be wronged. | وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَغُلَّ وَمَنْ يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّى كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| 'Afamani Attaba`a Riđwāna Allāhi Kaman Bā'a Bisakhaţin Mina Allāhi Wa Ma'wāhu Jahannamu Wa Bi'sa Al-Maşīru | 003.162 Is one who followeth the pleasure of Allah as one who hath earned condemnation from Allah, whose habitation is the Fire, a hapless journey's end ? | أَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ كَمَنْ بَاءَ بِسَخَط ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاه ُُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ |
| Hum Darajātun `Inda Allāhi Wa Allāhu Başīrun Bimā Ya`malūna | 003.163 There are degrees (of grace and reprobation) with Allah, and Allah is Seer of what they do. | هُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ بَصِير ٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Laqad Manna Allāhu `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna 'Idh Ba`atha Fīhim Rasūlāan Min 'Anfusihim Yatlū `Alayhim 'Āyātihi Wa Yuzakkīhim Wa Yu`allimuhumu Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa 'In Kānū Min Qablu Lafī Đalālin Mubīnin | 003.164 Allah verily hath shown grace to the believers by sending unto them a messenger of their own who reciteth unto them His revelations, and causeth them to grow, and teacheth them the Scripture and wisdom; although before (he came to them) they were in flagrant error. | لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولا ً مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِه ِِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| 'Awalammā 'Aşābatkum Muşībatun Qad 'Aşabtum Mithlayhā Qultum 'Anná Hādhā Qul Huwa Min `Indi 'Anfusikum 'Inna Allāha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | 003.165 And was it so, when a disaster smote you, though ye had smitten (them with a disaster) twice (as great), that ye said: How is this ? Say (unto them, O Muhammad): It is from yourselves. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. | أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُمْ مُصِيبَة ٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُمْ مِثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| Wa Mā 'Aşābakum Yawma At-Taqá Al-Jam`āni Fabi'idhni Allāhi Wa Liya`lama Al-Mu'uminīna | 003.166 That which befell you, on the day when the two armies met, was by permission of Allah; that He might know the true believers; | وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Liya`lama Al-Ladhīna Nāfaqū Wa Qīla Lahum Ta`ālaw Qātilū Fī Sabīli Allāhi 'Aw Adfa`ū Qālū Law Na`lamu Qitālāan Lāttaba`nākum Hum Lilkufri Yawma'idhin 'Aqrabu Minhum Lil'īmāni Yaqūlūna Bi'afwhihim Mā Laysa Fī Qulūbihim Wa Allāhu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaktumūna | 003.167 And that He might know the hypocrites, unto whom it was said: Come, fight in the way of Allah, or defend yourselves. They answered: If we knew aught of fighting we would follow you. On that day they were nearer disbelief than faith. They utter with their mouths a thing which is not in their hearts. Allah is Best Aware of what they hide. | وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ نَافَقُوا وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا قَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ ادْفَعُوا قَالُوا لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتَالا ً لاَتَّبَعْنَاكُمْ هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلإِيمَانِ يَقُولُونَ بِأَفْواهِهِمْ مَا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَكْتُمُونَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Qālū Li'khwānihim Wa Qa`adū Law 'Aţā`ūnā Mā Qutilū Qul Fādra'ū `An 'Anfusikumu Al-Mawta 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | 003.168 Those who, while they sat at home, said of their brethren (who were fighting for the cause of Allah): If they had been guided by us they would not have been slain. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Then avert death from yourselves if ye are truthful. | الَّذِينَ قَالُوا لِأخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُوا لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا قُلْ فَادْرَءُوا عَنْ أَنْفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Wa Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Qutilū Fī Sabīli Allāhi 'Amwātāan Bal 'Aĥyā'un `Inda Rabbihim Yurzaqūna | 003.169 Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision. | وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتا ً بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ |
| Fariĥīna Bimā 'Ātāhumu Allāhu Min Fađlihi Wa Yastabshirūna Bial-Ladhīna Lam Yalĥaqū Bihim Min Khalfihim 'Allā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna | 003.170 Jubilant (are they) because of that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty, rejoicing for the sake of those who have not joined them but are left behind: That there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. | فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ |
| Yastabshirūna Bini`matin Mina Allāhi Wa Fađlin Wa 'Anna Allāha Lā Yuđī`u 'Ajra Al-Mu'uminīna | 003.171 They rejoice because of favour from Allah and kindness, and that Allah wasteth not the wage of the believers. | يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِنِعْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْل ٍ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Al-Ladhīna Astajābū Lillāhi Wa Ar-Rasūli Min Ba`di Mā 'Aşābahumu Al-Qarĥu Lilladhīna 'Aĥsanū Minhum Wa Attaqaw 'Ajrun `Ažīmun | 003.172 As for those who heard the call of Allah and His messenger after the harm befell them (in the fight); for such of them as do right and ward off (evil), there is great reward. | الَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَصَابَهُمُ الْقَرْحُ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا مِنْهُمْ وَاتَّقَوْا أَجْرٌ عَظِيم ٌ |
| Al-Ladhīna Qāla Lahumu An-Nāsu 'Inna An-Nāsa Qad Jama`ū Lakum Fākhshawhum Fazādahum 'Īmānāan Wa Qālū Ĥasbunā Allāhu Wa Ni`ma Al-Wakīlu | 003.173 Those unto whom men said: Lo! the people have gathered against you, therefor fear them. (The threat of danger) but increased the faith of them and they cried: Allah is Sufficient for us! Most Excellent is He in Whom we trust! | الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانا ً وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ |
| Fānqalabū Bini`matin Mina Allāhi Wa Fađlin Lam Yamsas/hum Sū'un Wa Attaba`ū Riđwāna Allāhi Wa Allāhu Dhū Fađlin `Ažīmin | 003.174 So they returned with grace and favour from Allah, and no harm touched them. They followed the good pleasure of Allah, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty. | فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَة ٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْل ٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوء ٌ وَاتَّبَعُوا رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
| 'Innamā Dhalikumu Ash-Shayţānu Yukhawwifu 'Awliyā'ahu Falā Takhāfūhum Wa Khāfūni 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna | 003.175 It is only the devil who would make (men) fear his partisans. Fear them not; fear Me, if ye are true believers. | إِنَّمَا ذَلِكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَاءَه ُُ فَلاَ تَخَافُوهُمْ وَخَافُونِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Lā Yaĥzunka Al-Ladhīna Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Kufri 'Innahum Lan Yađurrū Allāha Shay'āan Yurīdu Allāhu 'Allā Yaj`ala Lahum Ĥažžāan Fī Al-'Ākhirati Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun | 003.176 Let not their conduct grieve thee, who run easily to disbelief, for lo! they injure Allah not at all. It is Allah's Will to assign them no portion in the Hereafter, and theirs will be an awful doom. | وَلاَ يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَلاَّ يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظّا ً فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Ashtaraw Al-Kufra Bil-'Īmāni Lan Yađurrū Allāha Shay'āan Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun | 003.177 Those who purchase disbelief at the price of faith harm Allah not at all, but theirs will be a painful doom. | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُا الْكُفْرَ بِالإِيمَانِ لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئا ً وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Wa Lā Yaĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Annamā Numlī Lahum Khayrun Li'anfusihim 'Innamā Numlī Lahum Liyazdādū 'Ithmāan Wa Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun | 003.178 And let not those who disbelieve imagine that the rein We give them bodeth good unto their souls. We only give them rein that they may grow in sinfulness. And theirs will be a shameful doom. | وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْر ٌ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِثْما ً وَلَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ مُهِين ٌ |
| Mā Kāna Allāhu Liyadhara Al-Mu'uminīna `Alá Mā 'Antum `Alayhi Ĥattá Yamīza Al-Khabītha Mina Aţ-Ţayyibi Wa Mā Kāna Allāhu Liyuţli`akum `Alá Al-Ghaybi Wa Lakinna Allāha Yajtabī Min Rusulihi Man Yashā'u Fa'āminū Billāhi Wa Rusulihi Wa 'In Tu'uminū Wa Tattaqū Falakum 'Ajrun `Ažīmun | 003.179 It is not (the purpose) of Allah to leave you in your present state till He shall separate the wicked from the good. And it is not (the purpose of) Allah to let you know the Unseen. But Allah chooseth of His messengers whom He will, (to receive knowledge thereof). So believe in Allah and His messengers. If ye believe and ward off (evil), yours will be a vast reward. | مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِه ِِ وَإِنْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيم ٌ |
| Wa Lā Yaĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Yabkhalūna Bimā 'Ātāhumu Allāhu Min Fađlihi Huwa Khayrāan Lahum Bal Huwa Sharrun Lahum Sayuţawwaqūna Mā Bakhilū Bihi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Lillahi Mīrāthu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun | 003.180 And let not those who hoard up that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty think that it is better for them. Nay, it is worse for them. That which they hoard will be their collar on the Day of Resurrection. Allah's is the heritage of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Informed of what ye do. | وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ هُوَ خَيْرا ً لَهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرّ ٌ لَهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِه ِِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِير ٌ |
| Laqad Sami`a Allāhu Qawla Al-Ladhīna Qālū 'Inna Allāha Faqīrun Wa Naĥnu 'Aghniyā'u Sanaktubu Mā Qālū Wa Qatlahumu Al-'Anbiyā'a Bighayri Ĥaqqin Wa Naqūlu Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Ĥarīqi | 003.181 Verily Allah heard the saying of those who said, (when asked for contributions to the war): "Allah, forsooth, is poor, and we are rich!" We shall record their saying with their slaying of the prophets wrongfully and We shall say: Taste ye the punishment of burning! | لَقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِير ٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا وَقَتْلَهُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقّ ٍ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ |
| Dhālika Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīkum Wa 'Anna Allāha Laysa Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi | 003.182 This is on account of that which your own hands have sent before (you to the judgment). Allah is no oppressor of (His) bondmen. | ذَلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ |
| Al-Ladhīna Qālū 'Inna Allāha `Ahida 'Ilaynā 'Allā Nu'umina Lirasūlin Ĥattá Ya'tiyanā Biqurbānin Ta'kuluhu An-Nāru Qul Qad Jā'akum Rusulun Min Qablī Bil-Bayyināti Wa Bial-Ladhī Qultum Falima Qataltumūhum 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | 003.183 (The same are) those who say: Lo! Allah hath charged us that we believe not in any messenger until he bring us an offering which fire (from heaven) shall devour. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Messengers came unto you before me with miracles, and with that (very miracle) which ye describe. Why then did ye slay them ? (Answer that) if ye are truthful! | الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَان ٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رُسُل ٌ مِنْ قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Fa'in Kadhdhabūka Faqad Kudhdhiba Rusulun Min Qablika Jā'ū Bil-Bayyināti Wa Az-Zuburi Wa Al-Kitābi Al-Munīri | 003.184 And if they deny thee, even so did they deny messengers who were before thee, who came with miracles and with the Psalms and with the Scripture giving light. | فَإِنْ كَذَّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَ رُسُل ٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ جَاءُوا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ |
| Kullu Nafsin Dhā'iqatu Al-Mawti Wa 'Innamā Tuwaffawna 'Ujūrakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Faman Zuĥziĥa `Ani An-Nāri Wa 'Udkhila Al-Jannata Faqad Fāza Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā Matā`u Al-Ghurūri | 003.185 Every soul will taste of death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion. | كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ |
| Latublawunna Fī 'Amwālikum Wa 'Anfusikum Wa Latasma`unna Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Min Qablikum Wa Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ashrakū 'Adháan Kathīrāan Wa 'In Taşbirū Wa Tattaqū Fa'inna Dhālika Min `Azmi Al-'Umūri | 003.186 Assuredly ye will be tried in your property and in your persons, and ye will hear much wrong from those who were given the Scripture before you, and from the idolaters. But if ye persevere and ward off (evil), then that is of the steadfast heart of things. | لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا أَذى ً كَثِيرا ً وَإِنْ تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَزْمِ الأُمُورِ |
| Wa 'Idh 'Akhadha Allāhu Mīthāqa Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Latubayyinunnahu Lilnnāsi Wa Lā Taktumūnahu Fanabadhūhu Warā'a Žuhūrihim Wa Ashtaraw Bihi Thamanāan Qalīlāan Fabi'sa Mā Yashtarūna | 003.187 And (remember) when Allah laid a charge on those who had received the Scripture (He said): Ye are to expound it to mankind and not to hide it. But they flung it behind their backs and bought thereby a little gain. Verily evil is that which they have gained thereby. | وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّه ُُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَه ُُ فَنَبَذُوه ُُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْا بِه ِِ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلا ً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ |
| Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Yafraĥūna Bimā 'Ataw Wa Yuĥibbūna 'An Yuĥmadū Bimā Lam Yaf`alū Falā Taĥsabannahum Bimafāzatin Mina Al-`Adhābi Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun | 003.188 Think not that those who exult in what they have given, and love to be praised for what they have not done - Think not, they are in safety from the doom. A painful doom is theirs. | لاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أَتَوا وَيُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يُحْمَدُوا بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّهُمْ بِمَفَازَة ٍ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | 003.189 Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. Allah is Able to do all things. | وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| 'Inna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri La'āyātin Li'wlī Al-'Albābi | 003.190 Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding, | إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَات ٍ لِأولِي الأَلْبَابِ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yadhkurūna Allāha Qiyāmāan Wa Qu`ūdāan Wa `Alá Junūbihim Wa Yatafakkarūna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Rabbanā Mā Khalaqta Hādhā Bāţilāan Subĥānaka Faqinā `Adhāba An-Nāri | 003.191 Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire. | الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَاما ً وَقُعُودا ً وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلا ً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ |
| Rabbanā 'Innaka Man Tudkhili An-Nāra Faqad 'Akhzaytahu Wa Mā Lilžžālimīna Min 'Anşārin | 003.192 Our Lord! Whom Thou causest to enter the Fire: him indeed Thou hast confounded. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. | رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَنْ تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَه ُُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنْصَار ٍ |
| Rabbanā 'Innanā Sami`nā Munādīāan Yunādī Lil'īmāni 'An 'Āminū Birabbikum Fa'āmannā Rabbanā Fāghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa Kaffir `Annā Sayyi'ātinā Wa Tawaffanā Ma`a Al-'Abrāri | 003.193 Our Lord! Lo! we have heard a crier calling unto Faith: "Believe ye in your Lord!" So we believed. Our Lord! Therefor forgive us our sins, and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous. | رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيا ً يُنَادِي لِلإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الأَبْرَارِ |
| Rabbanā Wa 'Ātinā Mā Wa`adtanā `Alá Rusulika Wa Lā Tukhzinā Yawma Al-Qiyāmati 'Innaka Lā Tukhlifu Al-Mī`āda | 003.194 Our Lord! And give us that which Thou hast promised to us by Thy messengers. Confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Thou breakest not the tryst. | رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلاَ تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ |
| Fāstajāba Lahum Rabbuhum 'Annī Lā 'Uđī`u `Amala `Āmilin Minkum Min Dhakarin 'Aw 'Unthá Ba`đukum Min Ba`đin Fa-Al-Ladhīna Hājarū Wa 'Ukhrijū Min Diyārihim Wa 'Ūdhū Fī Sabīlī Wa Qātalū Wa Qutilū La'ukaffiranna `Anhum Sayyi'ātihim Wa La'udkhilannahum Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Thawābāan Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu Ath-Thawābi | 003.195 And their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, male or female, to be lost. Ye proceed one from another. So those who fled and were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for My cause, and fought and were slain, verily I shall remit their evil deeds from them and verily I shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow - A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards. | فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لاَ أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِل ٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْض ٍ فَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا وَأُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَأُوذُوا فِي سَبِيلِي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّات ٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ ثَوَابا ً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَه ُُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ |
| Lā Yaghurrannaka Taqallubu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī Al-Bilādi | 003.196 Let not the vicissitude (of the success) of those who disbelieve, in the land, deceive thee (O Muhammad). | لاَ يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي الْبِلاَدِ |
| Matā`un Qalīlun Thumma Ma'wāhum Jahannamu Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu | 003.197 It is but a brief comfort. And afterward their habitation will be hell, an ill abode. | مَتَاع ٌ قَلِيل ٌ ثُمَّ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ |
| Lakini Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum Lahum Jannātun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā Nuzulāan Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Mā `Inda Allāhi Khayrun Lil'abrāri | 003.198 But those who keep their duty to their Lord, for them are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be safe for ever. A gift of welcome from their Lord. That which Allah hath in store is better for the righteous. | لَكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ جَنَّات ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا نُزُلا ً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْر ٌ لِلأَبْرَارِ |
| Wa 'Inna Min 'Ahli Al-Kitābi Laman Yu'uminu Billāhi Wa Mā 'Unzila 'Ilaykum Wa Mā 'Unzila 'Ilayhim Khāshi`īna Lillāhi Lā Yashtarūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Thamanāan Qalīlāan 'Ūlā'ika Lahum 'Ajruhum `Inda Rabbihim 'Inna Allāha Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi | 003.199 And lo! of the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto you and that which was revealed unto them, humbling themselves before Allah. They purchase not a trifling gain at the price of the revelations of Allah. Verily their reward is with their Lord. Lo! Allah is swift to take account. | وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لاَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنا ً قَلِيلاً أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Aşbirū Wa Şābirū Wa Rābiţū Wa Attaqū Allāha La`allakum Tufliĥūna | 003.200 O ye who believe! Endure, outdo all others in endurance, be ready, and observe your duty to Allah, in order that ye may succeed. | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اصْبِرُوا وَصَابِرُوا وَرَابِطُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ |
