'Innā 'Anzalnāhu Fī Laylati Al-Qadri | Verily! We have sent it (this Qur'ān) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) (Al-Qadr 97:1) | إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ |
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Laylatu Al-Qadri | And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is? (Al-Qadr 97:2) | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ |
Laylatu Al-Qadri Khayrun Min 'Alfi Shahrin | The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allāh in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months). (Al-Qadr 97:3) | لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْر ٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْر ٍ |
Tanazzalu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Ar-Rūĥu Fīhā Bi'idhni Rabbihim Min Kulli 'Amrin | Therein descend the angels and the Rûh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allāh's Permission with all Decrees, (Al-Qadr 97:4) | تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْر ٍ |
Salāmun Hiya Ĥattá Maţla`i Al-Fajri | Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allāh to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn. (Al-Qadr 97:5) | سَلاَمٌ هِيَ حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ |
