Yā -Sīn
Yā-Sīn. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ān, and none but Allāh (Alone) knows their meanings.] (Ya-Sin 36:1)
يَا-سِين
Wa A l-Q ur'ā ni A l-Ĥakī mi
By the Qur'ān, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), (Ya-Sin 36:2)
وَالْقُ رْآنِ ا لْحَكِيمِ
'Inn aka Lamina A l-Mursalī na
Truly, you (O Muhammad SAW) are one of the Messengers, (Ya-Sin 36:3)
إِنَّ كَ لَمِنَ ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
`Alá Ş ir āţ in Mustaq ī min
On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allāh's religion of Islāmic Monotheism). (Ya-Sin 36:4)
عَلَى صِ رَ ا ط ٍ مُسْتَقِ يمٍ
Tan zī la A l-`Azī zi A r-Ra ĥī mi
(This is) a Revelation sent down by the AllMighty, the Most Merciful, (Ya-Sin 36:5)
تَن زِي لَ ا لْعَزِي زِ ا ل رَّ حِيمِ
Litun dh ir a Q awmāan Mā 'Un dh ir a 'Ābā 'uuhum Fahum Gh āfilū na
In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. (Ya-Sin 36:6)
لِتُن ذِر َ قَ وْما ً مَا أُن ذِر َ آبَا ؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَ افِلُونَ
Laq ad Ĥaq q a A l-Q aw lu `Alá 'Akth ar ihim Fahum Lā Yu'uminū na
Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe. (Ya-Sin 36:7)
لَقَ د ْ حَقَّ ا لْقَ وْ لُ عَلَى أَكْثَر ِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
'Inn ā Ja`alnā Fī 'A`nāq ihim 'Agh lālāan Fahiya 'Ilá A l-'Adh q ā ni Fahum Muq maĥū na
Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. (Ya-Sin 36:8)
إِنَّ ا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِ هِمْ أَغْ لاَلا ً فَهِيَ إِلَى ا لأَذْقَ ا نِ فَهُمْ مُقْ مَحُونَ
Wa Ja`alnā Min Bay ni 'Aydīhim Saddāan Wa Min Kh alfihim Saddāan Fa'agh sh aynāhum Fahum Lā Yub ş irū na
And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see. (Ya-Sin 36:9)
وَجَعَلْنَا مِن ْ بَيْ نِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدّا ً وَمِن ْ خَ لْفِهِمْ سَدّا ً فَأَغْ شَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُبْ صِ رُونَ
Wa Sawā 'un `Alayhim 'A'an dh artahum 'Am Lam Tun dh ir hum Lā Yu'uminū na
It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe. (Ya-Sin 36:10)
وَسَوَا ءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَن ذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُن ذِر ْهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
'Inn amā Tun dh ir u Mani A ttaba`a A dh -Dh ikra Wa Kh ash iya A r-Ra ĥmana Bil-Gh ay bi ۖ Fabash sh ir hu Bimagh fira tin Wa 'Aj r in Kar ī min
You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur'ān), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allāh) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). (Ya-Sin 36:11)
إِنَّ مَا تُن ذِر ُ مَنِ ا تَّبَعَ ا ل ذِّكْرَ وَخَ شِيَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنَ بِا لْغَ يْ بِ ۖ فَبَشِّر ْهُ بِمَغْ فِرَ ةٍ وَأَجْ رٍ كَر ِيمٍ
'Inn ā Naĥnu Nuĥyi A l-Mawtá Wa Naktubu Mā Q addamū Wa 'Āth āra hum ۚ Wa Kulla Sh ay 'in 'Ĥş aynā hu Fī 'Imā min Mubī nin
Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihād (holy fighting in Allāh's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. (Ya-Sin 36:12)
إِنَّ ا نَحْنُ نُحْيِ ا لْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَ دَّمُوا وَآثَارَ هُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيْ ءٍ أحْصَ يْنَا هُ فِي إِمَا مٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa A đr ib Lahum Math alāan 'Aş ĥā ba A l-Q aryati 'Idh Jā 'ahā A l-Mursalū na
And put forward to them a similitude; the (story of the) dwellers of the town, [It is said that the town was Antioch (Antakiya)], when there came Messengers to them. (Ya-Sin 36:13)
وَاضْ ر ِب ْ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً أَصْ حَا بَ ا لْقَ رْيَةِ إِذْ جَا ءَهَا ا لْمُرْسَلُونَ
'Idh 'Arsalnā 'Ilayhimu A th nay ni Fakadh dh abūhumā Fa`azzaznā Bith ālith in Faq ālū 'Inn ā 'Ilaykum Mursalū na
When We sent to them two Messengers, they belied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: "Verily! We have been sent to you as Messengers." (Ya-Sin 36:14)
إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ ا ثْنَيْ نِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَ الُو ا إِنَّ ا إِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُونَ
Q ālū Mā 'An tum 'Illā Bash aru n Mith lunā Wa Mā 'An zala A r-Ra ĥmā nu Min Sh ay 'in 'In 'An tum 'Illā Takdh ibū na
They (people of the town) said: "You are only human beings like ourselves, and the Most Beneficent (Allāh) has revealed nothing, you are only telling lies." (Ya-Sin 36:15)
قَ الُوا مَا أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَمَا أَن زَلَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ مِن ْ شَيْ ءٍ إِن ْ أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ تَكْذِبُونَ
Q ālū Ra bbunā Ya`lamu 'Inn ā 'Ilaykum Lamursalū na
The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you, (Ya-Sin 36:16)
قَ الُوا رَ بُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّ ا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ
Wa Mā `Alaynā 'Illā A l-Balāgh u A l-Mubī nu
"And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)." (Ya-Sin 36:17)
وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلاَّ ا لْبَلاَغُ ا لْمُبِينُ
Q ālū 'Inn ā Taţ ayyarnā Bikum ۖ La'in Lam Tan tahū Lanarjumann akum Wa Layamassann akum Minn ā `Adh ā bun 'Alī mun
They (people) said: "For us, we see an evil omen from you, if you cease not, we will surely stone you, and a painful torment will touch you from us." (Ya-Sin 36:18)
قَ الُو ا إِنَّ ا تَطَ يَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن ْ لَمْ تَن تَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّ كُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّ كُمْ مِنَّ ا عَذَا بٌ أَلِيمٌ
Q ālū Ţ ā 'iru kum Ma`akum ۚ 'A'in Dh ukkir tum ۚ Bal 'An tum Q aw mun Musr ifū na
They (Messengers) said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifûn (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allāh). (Ya-Sin 36:19)
قَ الُوا طَ ا ئِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ْ ذُكِّر ْتُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْ تُمْ قَ وْ مٌ مُسْر ِفُونَ
Wa Jā 'a Min 'Aq ş á A l-Madīnati Ra julun Yas`á Q ā la Yā Q aw mi A ttabi`ū A l-Mursalī na
And there came running from the farthest part of the town, a man, saying: "O my people! Obey the Messengers; (Ya-Sin 36:20)
وَجَا ءَ مِن ْ أَقْ صَ ى ا لْمَدِينَةِ رَ جُلٌ يَسْعَى قَ ا لَ يَاقَ وْ مِ ا تَّبِعُوا ا لْمُرْسَلِينَ
A ttabi`ū Man Lā Yas'alukum 'Aj rā an Wa Hum Muhtadū na
"Obey those who ask no wages of you (for themselves), and who are rightly guided. (Ya-Sin 36:21)
ا تَّبِعُوا مَن ْ لاَ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْ را ً وَهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ
Wa Mā Liya Lā 'A`budu A l-Ladh ī Faţ ara nī Wa 'Ilay hi Turja`ū na
"And why should I not worship Him (Allāh Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned. (Ya-Sin 36:22)
وَمَا لِيَ لاَ أَعْبُدُ ا لَّذِي فَطَ رَ نِي وَإِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُونَ
'A'attakh idh u Min Dūnihi~ 'Ālihatan 'In Yur id ni A r-Ra ĥmā nu Biđurr in Lā Tugh ni `Ann ī Sh afā`atuhum Sh ay'ā an Wa Lā Yun q idh ū ni
"Shall I take besides Him āliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allāh) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me? (Ya-Sin 36:23)
أَأَتَّخِ ذُ مِن ْ دُونِهِ آلِهَة ً إِن ْ يُر ِد ْنِ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ بِضُ رٍّ لاَ تُغْ نِ عَنِّ ي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْ ئا ً وَلاَ يُن قِ ذُونِ
'Inn ī 'Idh āan Lafī Đ alā lin Mubī nin
"Then verily, I should be in plain error. (Ya-Sin 36:24)
إِنِّ ي إِذا ً لَفِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِينٍ
'Inn ī 'Āman tu Bira bbikum Fāsma`ū ni
Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!" (Ya-Sin 36:25)
إِنِّ ي آمَنْ تُ بِرَ بِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ
Q ī la A d kh uli A l-Jann ata ۖ Q ā la Yā Lay ta Q awmī Ya`lamū na
It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew! (Ya-Sin 36:26)
قِ ي لَ ا د ْخُ لِ ا لْجَنَّ ةَ ۖ قَ ا لَ يَالَيْ تَ قَ وْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ
Bimā Gh afara Lī Ra bbī Wa Ja`alanī Mina A l-Mukra mī na
"That my Lord (Allāh) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!" (Ya-Sin 36:27)
بِمَا غَ فَرَ لِي رَ بِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ا لْمُكْرَ مِينَ
Wa Mā 'An zalnā `Alá Q awmihi Min Ba`dihi Min Jun din Mina A s-Samā 'i Wa Mā Kunn ā Mun zilī na
And We sent not against his people after him a host from heaven, nor do We send (such a thing). (Ya-Sin 36:28)
وَمَا أَن زَلْنَا عَلَى قَ وْمِهِ مِن ْ بَعْدِهِ مِن ْ جُن دٍ مِنَ ا ل سَّمَا ءِ وَمَا كُنَّ ا مُن زِلِينَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idh ā Hum Kh āmidū na
It was but one Saihah (shout, etc.) and lo! They (all) were silent (dead-destroyed). (Ya-Sin 36:29)
إِن ْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَ امِدُونَ
Yā Ĥasra tan `Alá A l-`Ibā di ۚ Mā Ya'tīhim Min Ra sū lin 'Illā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn
Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him. (Ya-Sin 36:30)
يَاحَسْرَ ةً عَلَى ا لْعِبَا دِ مَا ۚ يَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ رَ سُو لٍ إِلاَّ كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُ ون
'Alam Yara w Kam 'Ahlaknā Q ab lahum Mina A l-Q urū ni 'Ann ahum 'Ilayhim Lā Yarji`ū na
Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them. (Ya-Sin 36:31)
أَلَمْ يَرَ وْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَ بْ لَهُمْ مِنَ ا لْقُ رُو نِ أَنَّ هُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ
Wa 'In Kullun Lamm ā Jamī `un Ladaynā Muĥđarū na
And surely, all, everyone of them will be brought before Us. (Ya-Sin 36:32)
وَإِن ْ كُلّ ٌ لَمَّ ا جَمِي ع ٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَ رُونَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahumu A l-'Arđu A l-Maytatu 'Aĥyaynāhā Wa 'Akh ra j nā Minhā Ĥabbāan Faminhu Ya'kulū na
And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. (Ya-Sin 36:33)
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمُ ا لأَرْضُ ا لْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْ رَ جْ نَا مِنْ هَا حَبّا ً فَمِنْ هُ يَأْكُلُونَ
Wa Ja`alnā Fīhā Jann ā tin Min Nakh ī lin Wa 'A`nā bin Wa Fajjarnā Fīhā Mina A l-`Uyū ni
And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. (Ya-Sin 36:34)
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنّ َا تٍ مِن ْ نَخِ ي لٍ وَأَعْنَا بٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ا لْعُيُونِ
Liya'kulū Min Th amar ihi Wa Mā `Amilat/hu 'Aydīhim ۖ 'Afalā Yash kurū na
So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? (Ya-Sin 36:35)
لِيَأْكُلُوا مِن ْ ثَمَر ِهِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَشْكُرُونَ
Sub ĥā na A l-Ladh ī Kh alaq a A l-'Azwā ja Kullahā Mimm ā Tun bitu A l-'Arđu Wa Min 'An fusihim Wa Mimm ā Lā Ya`lamū na
Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. (Ya-Sin 36:36)
سُبْ حَا نَ ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ ا لأَزْوَا جَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّ ا تُنْ بِتُ ا لأَرْضُ وَمِن ْ أَن فُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّ ا لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahumu A l-Lay lu Naslakh u Minhu A n -Nahā ra Fa'idh ā Hum Mužlimū na
And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. (Ya-Sin 36:37)
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمُ ا ل لَّيْ لُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْ هُ ا ل نَّ هَا رَ فَإِذَا هُمْ مُظْ لِمُونَ
Wa A sh -Sh am su Taj r ī Limustaq arr in Lahā ۚ Dh ālika Taq dī r u A l-`Azī zi A l-`Alī mi
And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (Ya-Sin 36:38)
وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْ ر ِي لِمُسْتَقَ رٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَلِكَ تَقْ دِي رُ ا لْعَزِي زِ ا لْعَلِيمِ
Wa A l-Q amara Q addarnā hu Manāzila Ĥattá `Ā da Kāl`urjū ni A l-Q adī mi
And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. (Ya-Sin 36:39)
وَالْقَ مَرَ قَ دَّرْنَا هُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّى عَا دَ كَالْعُرْجُو نِ ا لْقَ دِيمِ
Lā A sh -Sh am su Yan bagh ī Lahā 'An Tud r ika A l-Q amara Wa Lā A l-Lay lu Sābiq u A n -Nahā r i ۚ Wa Kullun Fī Falakin Yasbaĥū na
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. (Ya-Sin 36:40)
لاَ ا ل شَّمْسُ يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهَا أَن ْ تُد ْر ِكَ ا لْقَ مَرَ وَلاَ ا ل لَّيْ لُ سَابِقُ ا ل نَّ هَا ر ِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahum 'Ann ā Ĥamalnā Dh urr īyatahum Fī A l-Fulki A l-Mash ĥū ni
And an Ayāh (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nûh (Noah)]. (Ya-Sin 36:41)
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمْ أَنَّ ا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي ا لْفُلْكِ ا لْمَشْحُونِ
Wa Kh alaq nā Lahum Min Mith lihi Mā Yarkabū na
And We have created for them of the like thereunto, so on them they ride. (Ya-Sin 36:42)
وَخَ لَقْ نَا لَهُمْ مِن ْ مِثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ
Wa 'In Nash a' Nugh r iq hum Falā Ş ar īkh a Lahum Wa Lā Hum Yun q adh ū na
And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help) nor will they be saved. (Ya-Sin 36:43)
وَإِن ْ نَشَأْ نُغْ ر ِقْ هُمْ فَلاَ صَ ر ِي خَ لَهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُن قَ ذُونَ
'Illā Ra ĥmatan Minn ā Wa Matā`āan 'Ilá Ĥī nin
Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. (Ya-Sin 36:44)
إِلاَّ رَ حْمَة ً مِنَّ ا وَمَتَاعا ً إِلَى حِينٍ
Wa 'Idh ā Q ī la Lahumu A ttaq ū Mā Bay na 'Aydīkum Wa Mā Kh alfakum La`allakum Turĥamū na
And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allāh's Religion Islāmic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allāh with righteous deeds). (Ya-Sin 36:45)
وَإِذَا قِ ي لَ لَهُمُ ا تَّقُ وا مَا بَيْ نَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَ لْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Wa Mā Ta'tīhim Min 'Āyatin Min 'Āyā ti Ra bbihim 'Illā Kānū `Anhā Mu`r iđī na
And never came an Ayāh from among the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. (Ya-Sin 36:46)
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِمْ مِن ْ آيَةٍ مِن ْ آيَا تِ رَ بِّهِمْ إِلاَّ كَانُوا عَنْ هَا مُعْر ِضِ ينَ
Wa 'Idh ā Q ī la Lahum 'An fiq ū Mimm ā Ra zaq akumu A ll āhu Q ā la A l-Ladh ī na Kafarū Lilladh ī na 'Āmanū 'Anuţ `imu Man Law Yash ā 'u A ll āhu 'Aţ `amahu~ 'In 'An tum 'Illā Fī Đ alā lin Mubī nin
And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allāh has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allāh willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." (Ya-Sin 36:47)
وَإِذَا قِ ي لَ لَهُمْ أَن فِقُ وا مِمَّ ا رَ زَقَ كُمُ ا للَّ هُ قَ ا لَ ا لَّذِي نَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِي نَ آمَنُو ا أَنُطْ عِمُ مَن ْ لَوْ يَشَا ءُ ا للَّ هُ أَطْ عَمَهُ~ ُ إِن ْ أَنْ تُمْ إِلاَّ فِي ضَ لاَلٍ مُبِينٍ
Wa Yaq ūlū na Matá Hādh ā A l-Wa`du 'In Kun tum Ş ādiq ī na
And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" (Ya-Sin 36:48)
وَيَقُ ولُو نَ مَتَى هَذَا ا لْوَعْدُ إِن ْ كُن تُمْ صَ ادِقِ ينَ
Mā Yan žurū na 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Ta'kh udh uhum Wa Hum Yakh iş ş imū na
They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! (Ya-Sin 36:49)
مَا يَن ظُ رُو نَ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً تَأْخُ ذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِ صِّ مُونَ
Falā Yastaţ ī`ū na Tawş iyatan Wa Lā 'Ilá 'Ahlihim Yarji`ū na
Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. (Ya-Sin 36:50)
فَلاَ يَسْتَطِ يعُو نَ تَوْصِ يَة ً وَلاَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Wa Nufikh a Fī A ş -Ş ū r i Fa'idh ā Hum Mina A l-'Aj dāth i 'Ilá Ra bbihim Yan silū na
And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold! From the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord. (Ya-Sin 36:51)
وَنُفِخَ فِي ا ل صُّ و ر ِ فَإِذَا هُمْ مِنَ ا لأَجْ دَا ثِ إِلَى رَ بِّهِمْ يَن سِلُونَ
Q ālū Yā Waylanā Man Ba`ath anā Min Marq adinā ۜ ۗ Hādh ā Mā Wa`ada A r-Ra ĥmā nu Wa Ş adaq a A l-Mursalū na
They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Beneficent (Allāh) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!" (Ya-Sin 36:52)
قَ الُوا يَاوَيْلَنَا مَن ْ بَعَثَنَا مِن ْ مَرْقَ دِنَا هَذَا ۜ ۗ مَا وَعَدَ ا ل رَّ حْمَنُ وَصَ دَقَ ا لْمُرْسَلُونَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Ş ayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idh ā Hum Jamī `un Ladaynā Muĥđarū na
It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), so behold! They will all be brought up before Us! (Ya-Sin 36:53)
إِن ْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَ يْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِي ع ٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَ رُونَ
Fālyaw ma Lā Tužlamu Nafsun Sh ay'ā an Wa Lā Tuj zaw na 'Illā Mā Kun tum Ta`malū na
This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do. (Ya-Sin 36:54)
فَالْيَوْ مَ لاَ تُظْ لَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْ ئا ً وَلاَ تُجْ زَوْ نَ إِلاَّ مَا كُن تُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
'Inn a 'Aş ĥā ba A l-Jann ati A l-Yaw ma Fī Sh ugh ulin Fākihū na
Verily, the dwellers of the Paradise, that Day, will be busy in joyful things. (Ya-Sin 36:55)
إِنّ َ أَصْ حَا بَ ا لْجَنَّ ةِ ا لْيَوْ مَ فِي شُغُ لٍ فَاكِهُونَ
Hum Wa 'Azwājuhum Fī Ž ilā lin `Alá A l-'Arā 'iki Muttaki'ū na
They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones. (Ya-Sin 36:56)
هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِ لاَلٍ عَلَى ا لأَرَا ئِكِ مُتَّكِئُ ونَ
Lahum Fīhā Fākihatun Wa Lahum Mā Yadda`ū na
They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for. (Ya-Sin 36:57)
لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُونَ
Salā mun Q awlāan Min Ra bbin Ra ĥī min
(It will be said to them): Salāmun (peace be on you), a Word from the Lord (Allāh), Most Merciful. (Ya-Sin 36:58)
سَلاَمٌ قَ وْلا ً مِن ْ رَ بٍّ رَ حِيمٍ
Wa A m tāzū A l-Yaw ma 'Ayyuhā A l-Muj r imū na
(It will be said): "And O you Al-Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Islāmic Monotheism, wicked evil ones, etc.)! Get you apart this Day (from the believers). (Ya-Sin 36:59)
وَامْتَازُوا ا لْيَوْ مَ أَيُّهَا ا لْمُجْ ر ِمُونَ
'Alam 'A`had 'Ilaykum Yā Banī 'Ādama 'An Lā Ta`budū A sh -Sh ayţ ā na ۖ 'Inn ahu Lakum `Adū wun Mubī nun
Did I not ordain for you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaitān (Satan). Verily, he is a plain enemy to you. (Ya-Sin 36:60)
أَلَمْ أَعْهَد ْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَابَنِي آدَمَ أَن ْ لاَ تَعْبُدُوا ا ل شَّيْطَ ا نَ إِنَّ هُ ۖ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ
Wa 'Ani A `budūnī ۚ Hādh ā Ş ir āţ un Mustaq ī mun
And that you should worship Me [Alone Islāmic Monotheism, and set up not rivals, associate-gods with Me]. That is a Straight Path. (Ya-Sin 36:61)
وَأَنِ ا عْبُدُونِي ۚ هَذَا صِ رَ ا ط ٌ مُسْتَقِ يمٌ
Wa Laq ad 'Ađalla Min kum Jibillāan Kath īr āan ۖ 'Afalam Takūnū Ta`q ilū na
And indeed he (Satan) did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did you not, then, understand? (Ya-Sin 36:62)
وَلَقَ د ْ أَضَ لَّ مِنْ كُمْ جِبِلّا ً كَثِير اً ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِ لُونَ
Hadh ihi Jahann amu A llatī Kun tum Tū`adū na
This is Hell which you were promised! (Ya-Sin 36:63)
هَذِهِ جَهَنَّ مُ ا لَّتِي كُن تُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
A ş lawhā A l-Yaw ma Bimā Kun tum Takfurū na
Burn therein this Day, for that you used to disbelieve. (Ya-Sin 36:64)
ا صْ لَوْهَا ا لْيَوْ مَ بِمَا كُن تُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Al-Yaw ma Nakh timu `Alá 'Afwāhihim Wa Tukallimunā 'Aydīhim Wa Tash /hadu 'Arjuluhum Bimā Kānū Yaksibū na
This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabarī, Vol. 22, Page 24] (Ya-Sin 36:65)
ا لْيَوْ مَ نَخْ تِمُ عَلَى أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Wa Law Nash ā 'u Laţ amasnā `Alá 'A`yunihim Fāstabaq ū A ş -Ş ir ā ţ a Fa'ann á Yub ş irū na
And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see? (Ya-Sin 36:66)
وَلَوْ نَشَا ءُ لَطَ مَسْنَا عَلَى أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُ وا ا ل صِّ رَ ا طَ فَأَنَّ ى يُبْ صِ رُونَ
Wa Law Nash ā 'u Lamasakh nāhum `Alá Makānatihim Famā A staţ ā`ū Muđīyāan Wa Lā Yarji`ū na
And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (into animals or lifeless objects) in their places. Then they should have been unable to go forward (move about) nor they could have turned back. [As it happened with the Jews see Verse 7:166 The Qur'ān]. (Ya-Sin 36:67)
وَلَوْ نَشَا ءُ لَمَسَخْ نَاهُمْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ا سْتَطَ اعُوا مُضِ يّا ً وَلاَ يَرْجِعُونَ
Wa Man Nu`amm ir hu Nunakkis/hu Fī A l-Kh alq i ۖ 'Afalā Ya`q ilū na
And he whom We grant long life, We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand? (Ya-Sin 36:68)
وَمَن ْ نُعَمِّ ر ْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي ا لْخَ لْقِ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَعْقِ لُونَ
Wa Mā `Allam nā hu A sh -Sh i`ra Wa Mā Yan bagh ī Lahu~ ۚ 'In Huwa 'Illā Dh ikru n Wa Q ur'ā nun Mubī nun
And We have not taught him (Muhammad SAW) poetry, nor is it meet for him. This is only a Reminder and a plain Qur'ān. (Ya-Sin 36:69)
وَمَا عَلَّمْنَا هُ ا ل شِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنْ بَغِ ي لَهُ~ ُ ۚ إِن ْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرٌ وَقُ رْآنٌ مُبِينٌ
Liyun dh ir a Man Kā na Ĥayyāan Wa Yaĥiq q a A l-Q aw lu `Alá A l-Kāfir ī na
That he or it (Muhammad SAW or the Qur'ān) may give warning to him who is living (a healthy minded the believer), and that Word (charge) may be justified against the disbelievers (dead, as they reject the warnings). (Ya-Sin 36:70)
لِيُنْ ذِر َ مَن ْ كَا نَ حَيّا ً وَيَحِقَّ ا لْقَ وْ لُ عَلَى ا لْكَافِر ِينَ
'Awalam Yara w 'Ann ā Kh alaq nā Lahum Mimm ā `Amilat 'Aydīnā 'An`āmāan Fahum Lahā Mālikū na
Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners. (Ya-Sin 36:71)
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ وْا أَنَّ ا خَ لَقْ نَا لَهُمْ مِمَّ ا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْ عَاما ً فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ
Wa Dh allalnāhā Lahum Faminhā Ra kūbuhum Wa Minhā Ya'kulū na
And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat (Ya-Sin 36:72)
وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْ هَا رَ كُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْ هَا يَأْكُلُونَ
Wa Lahum Fīhā Manāfi`u Wa Mash ār ibu ۖ 'Afalā Yash kurū na
And they have (other) benefits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink, will they not then be grateful? (Ya-Sin 36:73)
وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَار ِبُ ۖ أَفَلاَ يَشْكُرُونَ
Wa A ttakh adh ū Min Dū ni A ll ā hi 'Ālihatan La`allahum Yun ş arū na
And they have taken besides Allāh āliha (gods), hoping that they might be helped (by those so called gods). (Ya-Sin 36:74)
وَاتَّخَ ذُوا مِن ْ دُو نِ ا للَّ هِ آلِهَة ً لَعَلَّهُمْ يُن صَ رُونَ
Lā Yastaţ ī`ū na Naş ra hum Wa Hum Lahum Jun dun Muĥđarū na
They cannot help them, but they will be brought forward as a troop against those who worshipped them (at the time of Reckoning). (Ya-Sin 36:75)
لاَ يَسْتَطِ يعُو نَ نَصْ رَ هُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُن دٌ مُحْضَ رُونَ
Falā Yaĥzun ka Q awluhum ۘ 'Inn ā Na`lamu Mā Yusir rū na Wa Mā Yu`linū na
So let not their speech, then, grieve you (O Muhammad SAW). Verily, We know what they conceal and what they reveal. (Ya-Sin 36:76)
فَلاَ يَحْزُنْ كَ قَ وْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّ ا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِر ُّو نَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
'Awalam Yara A l-'In sā nu 'Ann ā Kh alaq nā hu Min Nuţ fatin Fa'idh ā Huwa Kh aş ī mun Mubī nun
Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. (Ya-Sin 36:77)
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ا لإِن سَا نُ أَنَّ ا خَ لَقْ نَا هُ مِن ْ نُطْ فَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَ صِ ي مٌ مُبِينٌ
Wa Đ ara ba Lanā Math alāan Wa Nasiya Kh alq ahu ۖ Q ā la Man Yuĥyī A l-`Ižā ma Wa Hiya Ra mī mun
And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" (Ya-Sin 36:78)
وَضَ رَ بَ لَنَا مَثَلا ً وَنَسِيَ خَ لْقَ هُ ۖ قَ ا لَ مَن ْ يُحْيِي ا لْعِظَ ا مَ وَهِيَ رَ مِيمٌ
Q ul Yuĥyīhā A l-Ladh ī 'An sh a'ahā 'Awwala Marra tin ۖ Wa Huwa Bikulli Kh alq in `Alī mun
Say: (O Muhammad SAW) "He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is the All-Knower of every creation!" (Ya-Sin 36:79)
قُ لْ يُحْيِيهَا ا لَّذِي أَن شَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّ ةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَ لْقٍ عَلِيمٌ
Al-Ladh ī Ja`ala Lakum Mina A sh -Sh ajar i A l-'Akh đar i Nārā an Fa'idh ā 'An tum Minhu Tūq idū na
He, Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! You kindle therewith. (Ya-Sin 36:80)
ا لَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ ا ل شَّجَر ِ ا لأَخْ ضَ ر ِ نَارا ً فَإِذَا أَنْ تُمْ مِنْ هُ تُوقِ دُونَ
'Awalay sa A l-Ladh ī Kh alaq a A s-Samāwā ti Wa A l-'Arđa Biq ādir in `Alá 'An Yakh luq a Mith lahum ۚ Balá Wa Huwa A l-Kh allā q u A l-`Alī mu
Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. (Ya-Sin 36:81)
أَوَلَيْ سَ ا لَّذِي خَ لَقَ ا ل سَّمَاوَا تِ وَا لأَرْضَ بِقَ ادِر ٍ عَلَى أَن ْ يَخْ لُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ ۚ بَلَى وَهُوَ ا لْخَ لاَّقُ ا لْعَلِيمُ
'Inn amā 'Am ru hu~ 'Idh ā 'Ar ā da Sh ay'ā an 'An Yaq ū la Lahu Kun Fayakū nu
Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! (Ya-Sin 36:82)
إِنَّ مَا أَمْرُهُ~ ُ إِذَا أَرَ ا دَ شَيْ ئاً أَن ْ يَقُ و لَ لَهُ كُن ْ فَيَكُونُ
Fasub ĥā na A l-Ladh ī Biyadihi Malakū tu Kulli Sh ay 'in Wa 'Ilay hi Turja`ū na
So Glorified is He and Exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things, and to Him you shall be returned. (Ya-Sin 36:83)
فَسُبْ حَا نَ ا لَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُو تُ كُلِّ شَيْ ءٍ وَإِلَيْ هِ تُرْجَعُونَ
