سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى |
| Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Fasawwá (Al-'`lá: 2).
|
He who creates and regulates.
087002 |
الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى |
| Wa Al-Ladhī Qaddara Fahadá (Al-'`lá: 3).
|
He who measures and guides.
087003 |
وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَى |
| Wa Al-Ladhī 'Akhraja Al-Mar`á (Al-'`lá: 4).
|
He who produces the pasture.
087004 |
وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَى |
| Faja`alahu Ghuthā'an 'Aĥwá (Al-'`lá: 5).
|
And then turns it into light debris.
087005 |
فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَى |
| Sanuqri'uka Falā Tansá (Al-'`lá: 6).
|
We will make you read, so do not forget.
087006 |
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلاَ تَنسَى |
| 'Illā Mā Shā'a Allāhu ۚ 'Innahu Ya`lamu Al-Jahra Wa Mā Yakhfá (Al-'`lá: 7).
|
Except what God wills. He knows what is declared, and what is hidden.

إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَى |
| Wa Nuyassiruka Lilyusrá (Al-'`lá: 8).
|
We will ease you into the Easy Way.

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَى |
| Fadhakkir 'In Nafa`ati Adh-Dhikrá (Al-'`lá: 9).
|
So remind, if reminding helps.
087009 |
فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى |
| Sayadhdhakkaru Man Yakhshá (Al-'`lá: 10).
|
The reverent will remember.
087010 |
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَى |
| Wa Yatajannabuhā Al-'Ashqá (Al-'`lá: 11).
|
But the wretched will avoid it.
087011 |
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الأَشْقَى |
| Al-Ladhī Yaşlá An-Nāra Al-Kubrá (Al-'`lá: 12).
|
He who will enter the Gigantic Fire.
087012 |
الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَى |
| Thumma Lā Yamūtu Fīhā Wa Lā Yaĥyā (Al-'`lá: 13).
|
Where he will neither die, nor live.
087013 |
ثُمَّ لاَ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلاَ يَحْيَا |
| Qad 'Aflaĥa Man Tazakká (Al-'`lá: 14).
|
Successful is he who purifies himself.
087014 |
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى |
| Wa Dhakara Asma Rabbihi Faşallá (Al-'`lá: 15).
|
And mentions the name of his Lord, and prays.
087015 |
وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى |
| Bal Tu'uthirūna Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā (Al-'`lá: 16).
|
But you prefer the present life.
087016 |
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا |
| Wa Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Wa 'Abqá (Al-'`lá: 17).
|
Though the Hereafter is better, and more lasting.
087017 |
وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى |
| 'Inna Hādhā Lafī Aş-Şuĥufi Al-'Ūlá (Al-'`lá: 18).
|
This is in the former scriptures.

إِنَّ هَذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الأُولَى |
| Şuĥufi 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá (Al-'`lá: 19).
