Subĥāna Al-Ladhī 'Asrá Bi`abdihi Laylāan Mina Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi 'Ilá Al-Masjidi Al-'Aqşá Al-Ladhī Bāraknā Ĥawlahu Linuriyahu Min 'Āyātinā ۚ 'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Başīru Glory to Him who journeyed His servant by night, from the Sacred Mosque, to the Farthest Mosque, whose precincts We have blessed, in order to show him of Our wonders. He is the Listener, the Beholder. 017-001 ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‌ ‍ ‍‌ ‌‍ۚ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Allā Tattakhidhū Min Dūnī Wa Kīlāan And We gave Moses the Scripture, and made it a guide for the Children of Israel: Take none for protector other than Me. 017-002 ‌‌ ‌ ‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‌ ‌
Dhurrīyata Man Ĥamalnā Ma`a Nūĥin ۚ 'Innahu Kāna `Abdāan Shakūan The descendants of those We carried with Noah. He was an appreciative servant. 017-003 ‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ۚ‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‌‌
Wa Qađaynā 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla Fī Al-Kitābi Latufsidunna Fī Al-'Arđi Marratayni Wa Lata`lunna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture: You will commit evil on earth twice, and you will rise to a great height. 017-004 ‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‍ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‌‌ ‍
Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du 'Ūlāhumā Ba`athnā `Alaykum `Ibādāan Lanā 'Ūlī Ba'sin Shadīdin Fajāsū Khilāla Ad-Diyāri ۚ Wa Kāna Wa`dāan Maf`ūlāan When the first of the two promises came true, We sent against you servants of Ours, possessing great might, and they ransacked your homes. It was a promise fulfilled. 017-005 ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‌‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ۚ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‌
Thumma Radadnā Lakumu Al-Karrata `Alayhim Wa 'Amdadnākum Bi'amwālin Wa Banīna Wa Ja`alnākum 'Akthara Nafīrāan Then We gave you back your turn against them, and supplied you with wealth and children, and made you more numerous. 017-006 ‌‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‍‌ ‍
'In 'Aĥsantum 'Aĥsantum Li'nfusikum ۖ Wa 'In 'Asa'tum Falahā ۚ Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Liyasū'ū Wujūhakum Wa Liyadkhulū Al-Masjida Kamā Dakhalūhu 'Awwala Marratin Wa Liyutabbirū Mā `Alaw Tatbīrāan If you work righteousness, you work righteousness for yourselves; and if you commit evil, you do so against yourselves. Then, when the second promise comes true, they will make your faces filled with sorrow, and enter the Temple as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy all that falls into their power. 017-007 ‌‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‍‌‍‍‍ ‌ۖ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‌ ۚ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‍
`Asá Rabbukum 'An Yarĥamakum ۚ Wa 'In `Udtum `Udۘ Wa Ja`alnā Jahannama Lilkāfirīna Ĥaşīrāan Perhaps your Lord will have mercy on you. But if you revert, We will revert. We have made Hell a prison for the disbelievers. 017-008 ‌ ‌‍ ‌‌ ۚ ‌‌‌ۘ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍
'Inna Hādhā Al-Qur'āna Yahdī Lillatī Hiya 'Aqwamu Wa Yubashshiru Al-Mu'uminīna Al-Ladhīna Ya`malūna Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Anna Lahum 'Ajan Kabīrāan This Quran guides to what is most upright; and it gives good news to the believers who do good deeds, that they will have a great reward. 017-009 ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‍
Wa 'Anna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati 'A`tadnā Lahum `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan And those who do not believe in the Hereafter—We have prepared for them a painful punishment. 017-010 ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‌ ‌‌ ‌
Wa Yad`u Al-'Insānu Bish-Sharri Du`ā'ahu Bil-Khayri ۖ Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu `Ajūlāan The human being prays for evil as he prays for good. The human being is very hasty. 017-011 ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ۖ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍
Wa Ja`alnā Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra 'Āyatayni ۖ Famaĥawnā 'Āyata Al-Layli Wa Ja`alnā 'Āyata An-Nahāri Mubşiratan Litabtaghū Fađlāan Min Rabbikum Wa Lita`lamū `Adada As-Sinīna Wa Al-Ĥisāba ۚ Wa Kulla Shay'in Faşşalnāhu Tafşīlāan We have made the night and the day two wonders. We erased the wonder of the night, and made the wonder of the day revealing, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and know the number of years, and the calculation. We have explained all things in detail. 017-012 ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌ ‌‍‍‍ۖ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‌ ‌‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍ ۚ ‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Kulla 'Insānin 'Alzamnāhu Ţā'irahu Fī `Unuqihi ۖ Wa Nukhriju Lahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Kitābāan Yalqāhu Manshūan For every person We have attached his fate to his neck. And on the Day of Resurrection, We will bring out for him a book which he will find spread open. 017-013 ‌‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍ ۖ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‌‌
Aqra' Kitābaka Kafá Binafsika Al-Yawma `Alayka Ĥasībāan “Read your book; today there will be none but yourself to call you to account.” 017-014 ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌ ‍‍
Mani Ahtadá Fa'innamā Yahtadī Linafsihi ۖ Wa Man Đalla Fa'innamā Yađillu `Alayhā ۚ Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukhۗ Wa Mā Kunnā Mu`adhdhibīna Ĥattá Nab`atha Rasūlāan Whoever is guided—is guided for his own good. And whoever goes astray—goes astray to his detriment. No burdened soul carries the burdens of another, nor do We ever punish until We have sent a messenger. 017-015 ‌‌ ‍‌ ‍ ۖ ‌‍‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‌ ‌‌‌‌‍‌ ‌‌‌‍‌ ‌‍‌‌ ۗ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍
Wa 'Idhā 'Aradnā 'An Nuhlika Qaryatan 'Amarnā Mutrafīhā Fafasaqū Fīhā Faĥaqqa `Alayhā Al-Qawlu Fadammarnāhā Tadrāan When We decide to destroy a town, We command its affluent ones, they transgress in it, so the word becomes justified against it, and We destroy it completely. 017-016 ‌‌‌ ‌‌‍‌ ‌‌ ‍ ‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‍
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Mina Al-Qurūni Min Ba`di Nūĥin ۗ Wa Kafá Birabbika Bidhunūbi `Ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan How many generations have We destroyed after Noah? Your Lord is sufficient as Knower and Beholder of the sins of his servants. 017-017 ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ۗ ‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-`Ājilata `Ajjalnā Lahu Fīhā Mā Nashā'u Liman Nurīdu Thumma Ja`alnā Lahu Jahannama Yaşlāhā Madhmūmāan Madĥūan Whoever desires the fleeting life, We expedite for him what We decide to give him, to whomever We desire. Then We consign him to Hell, where he will roast, condemned and defeated. 017-018 ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‌‌
Wa Man 'Arāda Al-'Ākhirata Wa Sa`á Lahā Sa`yahā Wa Huwa Mu'uminun Fa'ūlā'ika Kāna Sa`yuhum Mashan But whoever desires the Hereafter, and pursues it as it should be pursued, while he is a believer; these—their effort will be appreciated. 017-019 ‍‌ ‌‌‍‌‌‌ ‍‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
Kullāan Numiddu Hā'uulā' Wa Hā'uulā' Min `Aţā'i Rabbika ۚ Wa Mā Kāna `Aţā'u Rabbika Maĥžūan To all—these and those—We extend from the gifts of your Lord. The gifts of your Lord are not restricted. 017-020 ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‍‌‍‍‌‌ ‌‍ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‌‌
Anžur Kayfa Fađđalnā Ba`đahum `Alá Ba`đin ۚ Wa Lal'ākhiratu 'Akbaru Darajātin Wa 'Akbaru Tafđīlāan See how We have favored some of them over others; yet the Hereafter is greater in ranks, and greater in favors. 017-021 ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍ۚ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍
Lā Taj`al Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fataq`uda Madhmūmāan Makhdhūlāan Do not set up another god with God, lest you become condemned and damned. 017-022 ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌
Wa Qađá Rabbuka 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā 'Īyāhu Wa Bil-Wālidayni 'Iĥsānāan ۚ 'Immā Yablughanna `Indaka Al-Kibara 'Aĥaduhumā 'Aw Kilāhumā Falā Taqul Lahumā 'Uffin Wa Lā Tanharhumā Wa Qul Lahumā Qawlāan Karīmāan Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and that you be good to your parents. If either of them or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them a word of disrespect, nor scold them, but say to them kind words. 017-023 ‍‌ ‌‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‍ ‌‌ۚ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‌ ‌‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‍‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‍ ‌ ‍‌‌ ‍
Wa Akhfiđ Lahumā Janāĥa Adh-Dhulli Mina Ar-Raĥmati Wa Qul Rrabbi Arĥamhumā Kamā Rabbayānī Şaghīrāan And lower to them the wing of humility, out of mercy, and say, “My Lord, have mercy on them, as they raised me when I was a child.” 017-024 ‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‍ ‍‍‍‍
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bimā Fī Nufūsikum ۚ 'In Takūnū Şāliĥīna Fa'innahu Kāna Lil'awwābīna Ghafūan Your Lord knows best what is in your minds. If you are righteous—He is Forgiving to the obedient. 017-025 ‌ ‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌
Wa 'Āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli Wa Lā Tubadhdhir Tabdhīrāan And give the relative his rights, and the poor, and the wayfarer, and do not squander wastefully. 017-026 ‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
'Inna Al-Mubadhdhirīna Kānū 'Ikhwāna Ash-Shayāţīni ۖ Wa Kāna Ash-Shayţānu Lirabbihi Kafūan The extravagant are brethren of the devils, and the devil is ever ungrateful to his Lord. 017-027 ‍‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌‍‍‌ ‍‍ۖ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
Wa 'Immā Tu`riđanna `Anhumu Abtighā'a Raĥmatin Min Rabbika Tarjūhā Faqul Lahum Qawlāan Maysūan But if you turn away from them, seeking mercy from your Lord which you hope for, then say to them words of comfort. 017-028 ‍‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‍‌ ‍‌ ‌‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌
Wa Lā Taj`al Yadaka Maghlūlatan 'Ilá `Unuqika Wa Lā Tabsuţhā Kulla Al-Basţi Fataq`uda Malūmāan Maĥsūan And do not keep your hand tied to your neck, nor spread it out fully, lest you end up liable and regretful. 017-029 ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‌
'Inna Rabbaka Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru ۚ 'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan Your Lord expands the provision for whomever He wills, and restricts it. He is fully Informed, Observant of His servants. 017-030 ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‍ ‍‌‍‍‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‌ ۚ‍‍ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Lā Taqtulū 'Awlādakum Khashyata 'Imlāqin ۖ Naĥnu Narzuquhum Wa 'Īyākum ۚ 'Inna Qatlahum Kāna Khiţ'āan Kabīrāan And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them, and for you. Killing them is a grave sin. 017-031 ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍ ‌‍ۖ ‌‍‍ ‌‌ ۚ ‍ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‍
Wa Lā Taqra Az-Ziná ۖ 'Innahu Kāna Fāĥishatan Wa Sā'a Sabīlāan And do not come near adultery. It is immoral, and an evil way. 017-032 ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ۖ‍‍ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‌‌
Wa Lā Taqtulū An-Nafsa Allatī Ĥarrama Allāhu 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi ۗ Wa Man Qutila Mažlūmāan Faqad Ja`alnā Liwalīyihi Sulţānāan Falā Yusrif Al-Qatli ۖ 'Innahu Kāna Manşūan And do not kill the soul which God has made sacred, except in the course of justice. If someone is killed unjustly, We have given his next of kin certain authority. But he should not be excessive in killing, for he will be supported. 017-033 ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‍ ‌‌ ‍ ۗ ‌‍‌ ‍ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌ ‍ ‍‍ۖ‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌
Wa Lā Taqrabū Māla Al-Yatīmi 'Illā Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu Ĥattá Yablugha 'Ashuddahu ۚ Wa 'Awfū Bil-`Ahdi ۖ 'Inna Al-`Ahda Kāna Mas'ūlāan And do not go near the orphan’s property, except with the best of intentions, until he has reached his maturity. And honor your pledge, because the pledge involves responsibility. 017-034 ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ۚ ‌‌‌‌ ‍ۖ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Wa 'Awfū Al-Kayla 'Idhā Kiltum Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţāsi Al-Mustaqīmi ۚ Dhālika Khayrun Wa 'Aĥsanu Ta'wīlāan And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with accurate scales. That is fair, and the best determination. 017-035 ‌‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ۚ‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‌
Wa Lā Taqfu Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun ۚ 'Inna As-Sam`a Wa Al-Başara Wa Al-Fu'uāda Kullu 'Ūlā'ika Kāna `Anhu Mas'ūlāan And do not occupy yourself with what you have no knowledge of. The hearing, and the sight, and the brains—all these will be questioned. 017-036 ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍ۚ ‍ ‌‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍
Wa Lā Tamshi Fī Al-'Arđi Maraĥāan ۖ 'Innaka Lan Takhriqa Al-'Arđa Wa Lan Tablugha Al-Jibāla Ţūlāan And do not walk proudly on earth. You can neither pierce the earth, nor can you match the mountains in height. 017-037 ‌‍ۖ‍ ‍‌‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‍‌‍‍‍‍ ‍‍
Kullu Dhālika Kāna Sayyi'uhu `Inda Rabbika Makrūhāan The evil of all these is disliked by your Lord. 017-038 ‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‍
Dhālika Mimmā 'Awĥá 'Ilayka Rabbuka Mina Al-Ĥikmati ۗ Wa Lā Taj`al Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fatulqá Fī Jahannama Malūmāan Madĥūan That is some of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up with God another god, or else you will be thrown in Hell, rebuked and banished. 017-039 ‍‍‌ ‌‌‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ۗ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‌
'Afa'aşfākum Rabbukum Bil-Banīna Wa Attakhadha Mina Al-Malā'ikati 'Ināthāan ۚ 'Innakum Lataqūlūna Qawlāan `Ažīmāan Has your Lord favored you with sons, while choosing for Himself daughters from among the angels? You are indeed saying a terrible thing. 017-040 ‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‌ۚ‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‍‍‍
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Liyadhdhakkarū Wa Mā Yazīduhum 'Illā Nufūan We have explained in this Quran in various ways, that they may remember, but it only adds to their rebellion. 017-041 ‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‌
Qul Law Kāna Ma`ahu~ 'Ālihatun Kamā Yaqūlūna 'Idhāanbtaghaw 'Ilá Dhī Al-`Arshi Sabīlāan Say, “If there were other gods with Him, as they say, they would have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne.” 017-042 ‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ ~ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‌
Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yaqūlūna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan Be He glorified. He is exalted, far above what they say. 017-043 ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍
Tusabbiĥu Lahu As-Samāwātu As-Sab`u Wa Al-'Arđu Wa Man Fīhinna ۚ Wa 'In Min Shay'in 'Illā Yusabbiĥu Biĥamdihi Wa Lakin Lā Tafqahūna Tasbīĥahum ۗ 'Innahu Kāna Ĥalīmāan Ghafūan Praising Him are the seven heavens, and the earth, and everyone in them. There is not a thing that does not glorify Him with praise, but you do not understand their praises. He is indeed Forbearing and Forgiving. 017-044 ‍‌‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍ ‌‍‌ ۚ ‌‌‌ ‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ۗ‍‍‍‌‌
Wa 'Idhā Qara'ta Al-Qur'āna Ja`alnā Baynaka Wa Bayna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Ĥijābāan Mastūan When you read the Quran, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier. 017-045 ‌‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‌
Wa Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Akinnatan 'An Yafqahūhu Wa Fīdhānihim Waqan Wa 'Idhā ۚ Dhakarta Rabbaka Fī Al-Qur'āni Waĥdahu Wa Llaw `Alá 'Adrihim Nufūan And We drape veils over their hearts, preventing them from understanding it, and heaviness in their ears. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran, they turn their backs in aversion. 017-046 ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ۚ ‌‌‌‌‌ ‌ ‌‍ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‌
Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yastami`ūna Bihi~ 'Idh Yastami`ūna 'Ilayka Wa 'Idh Hum Najwá 'Idh Yaqūlu Až-Žālimūna 'In Tattabi`ūna 'Illā Rajulāan Masĥūan We know well what they listen to, when they listen to you, as they conspire, when the wrongdoers say, “You only follow a man bewitched.” 017-047 ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‍‌ ‌‌
Anžur Kayfa Đarabū Laka Al-'Amthāla Fađallū Falā Yastaţī`ūna Sabīlāan Note what they compared you to. They are lost, and unable to find a way. 017-048 ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamabthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan And they say, “When we have become bones and fragments, shall we really be resurrected as a new creation?” 017-049 ‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌
Qul Kūnū Ĥijāratan 'Aw Ĥadīdāan Say, “Even if you become rocks or iron. 017-050 ‌ ‌‍ ‌‌‌ ‌
'Aw Khalqāan Mimmā YakburuŞudūrikum ۚ Fasayaqūlūna Man Yu`īdunā ۖ Quli Al-Ladhī Faţarakum 'Awwala Marratin ۚ Fasayunghūna 'Ilayka Ru'ūsahum Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Huwa ۖ Qul `Asá 'An Yakūna Qarībāan Or some substance, which, in your minds, is even harder.” Then they will say, “Who will restore us?” Say, “The One who originated you the first time.” Then they will nod their heads at you, and say, “When will it be?” Say, “Perhaps it will be soon.” 017-051 ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‌ ۚ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌ۖ ‍‍ ‌‌ ‍ۚ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌ ۖ ‍ ‍‌ ‌‌‍‍
Yawma Yad`ūkum Fatastajībūna Biĥamdihi Wa Tažunnūna 'In Labithtum 'Illā Qalīlāan On the Day when He calls you, you will respond with His praise, and you will realize that you stayed only a little. 017-052 ‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌
Wa Qul Li`ibādī Yaqūlū Allatī Hiya 'Aĥsanu ۚ 'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Yanzaghu Baynahum ۚ 'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Kāna Lil'insāni `Adūwāan Mubīnāan Tell My servants to say what is best. Satan sows discord among them. Satan is to man an open enemy. 017-053 ‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ۚ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‍ ۚ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bikum ۖ 'In Yasha' Yarĥamkum 'Aw 'In Yasha' Yu`adhdhibkum ۚ Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka `Alayhim Wa Kīlāan Your Lord knows you best. If He wills, He will have mercy on you; and if He wills, He will punish you. We did not send you as their advocate. 017-054 ۖ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‌ۚ ‌‍‌ ‌‌‍‍‍
Wa Rabbuka 'A`lamu Biman As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۗ Wa Laqad Fađđalnā Ba`đa An-Nabīyīna `Alá Ba`đin ۖ Wa 'Ātaynā Dāwūda Zabūan Your Lord knows well everyone in the heavens and the earth. We have given some prophets advantage over others; and to David We gave the Psalms. 017-055 ‌‍ ‌ ‍‌ ‍‌‍‍‌‌‍ ۗ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍ۖ ‌‌‌ ‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌ ‌‌‌
Quli Ad Al-Ladhīna Za`amtum Min Dūnihi Falā Yamlikūna Kashfa Ađ-Đurri `Ankum Wa Lā Taĥwīlāan Say, “Call upon those you claim besides Him. They have no power to relieve your adversity, nor can they change it.” 017-056 ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Yabtaghūna 'Ilá Rabbihimu Al-Wasīlata 'Ayyuhum 'Aqrabu Wa Yarjūna Raĥmatahu Wa Yakhāfūna `Adhābahu~ ۚ 'Inna `Adhāba Rabbika Kāna Maĥdhūan Those they call upon are themselves seeking means of access to their Lord, vying to be nearer, and hoping for His mercy, and fearing His punishment. The punishment of your Lord is to be dreaded. 017-057 ‍‍‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‍ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍~ ۚ ‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‌
Wa 'In Min Qaryatin 'Illā Naĥnu Muhlikūhā Qabla Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati 'Aw Mu`adhdhibūhā `Adhābāan Shadīdāan ۚ Kāna Dhālika Fī Al-Kitābi Masţūan There is no city but We will destroy before the Day of Resurrection, or punish it with a severe punishment. This is inscribed in the Book. 017-058 ‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‍ ‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‌ۚ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌
Wa Mā Mana`anā 'An Nursila Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā 'An Kadhdhaba Bihā Al-'Awwalūna ۚ Wa 'Ātaynā Thamūda An-Nāqata Mubşiratan Fažalamū Bihā ۚ Wa Mā Nursilu Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā Takhwīfāan Nothing prevents Us from sending miraculous signs, except that the ancients called them lies. We gave Thamood the she-camel, a visible sign, but they mistreated her. We do not send the signs except to instill reverence. 017-059 ‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌‌‍‍‍ ۚ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Laka 'Inna Rabbaka 'Aĥāţa Bin-Nāsi ۚ Wa Mā Ja`alnā Ar-Ru'uyā Allatī 'Araynāka 'Illā Fitnatan Lilnnāsi Wa Ash-Shajarata Al-Mal`ūnata Fī Al-Qur'āni ۚ Wa Nukhawwifuhum Famā Yazīduhum 'Illā Ţughyānāan Kabīrāan We said to you that your Lord encompasses humanity. We did not make the vision We showed you, except as a test for the people, and the tree cursed in the Quran. We frighten them, but that only increases their defiance. 017-060 ‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‍ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ۚ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‌‌ ‌‌‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‌ ۚ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‍
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Lilmalā'ikati Asjudū Li'dama Fasajadū 'Illā 'Iblīsa Qāla 'A'asjudu Liman Khalaqta Ţīnāan When We said to the angels, “Bow down before Adam,” they bowed down, except for Satan. He said, “Shall I bow down before someone You created from mud?” 017-061 ‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍
Qāla 'Ara'aytaka Hādhā Al-Ladhī Karramta `Alayya La'in 'Akhkhartanī 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati La'aĥtanikanna Dhurrīyatahu~ 'Illā Qalīlāan He said, “Do You see this one whom You have honored more than me? If You reprieve me until the Day of Resurrection, I will bring his descendants under my sway, except for a few.” 017-062 ‌‌‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍ ‍‍‍ ‍ ‌‌~ ‌‌
Qāla Adh/hab Faman Tabi`aka Minhum Fa'inna Jahannama Jazā'uukum Jazā'an Mawfūan He said, “Begone! Whoever of them follows you—Hell is your reward, an ample reward.” 017-063 ‌‍ ‍‌ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌ ‌‌
Wa Astafziz Mani Astaţa`ta Minhum Bişawtika Wa 'Ajlib `Alayhim Bikhaylika Wa Rajilika Wa Shārik/hum Al-'Amwli Wa Al-'Awlādi Wa `Id/hum ۚ Wa Mā Ya`iduhumu Ash-Shayţānu 'Illā Ghurūan “And entice whomever of them you can with your voice, and rally against them your cavalry and your infantry, and share with them in wealth and children, and make promises to them.” But Satan promises them nothing but delusion. 017-064 ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‍ ‌ ‌‌‌‌ ‌‍ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‌‌‌
'Inna `Ibādī Laysa Laka `Alayhim Sulţānun ۚ Wa Kafá Birabbika Wa Kīlāan “As for My devotees, you have no authority over them.” Your Lord is an adequate Guardian. 017-065 ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍ۚ ‌‌ ‍
Rabbukumu Al-Ladhī Yuzjī Lakumu Al-Fulka Fī Al-Baĥri Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi~ ۚ 'Innahu Kāna Bikum Raĥīmāan Your Lord is He who propels for you the ships at sea, that you may seek of His bounty. He is towards you Most Merciful. 017-066 ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‍‍ۚ‍‍ ‌‍
Wa 'Idhā Massakumu Ađ-Đurru Al-Baĥri Đalla Man Tad`ūna 'Illā 'Īyāhu ۖ Falammā Najjākum 'Ilá Al-Barri 'A`rađtum ۚ Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Kafūan When harm afflicts you at sea, those you pray to vanish, except for Him. But when He saves you to land, you turn away. The human being is ever thankless. 017-067 ‌‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‌ ‍ ‍‌‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‍ ۖ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‍ۚ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌
'Afa'amintum 'An Yakhsifa Bikum Jāniba Al-Barri 'Aw Yursila `Alaykum Ĥāşibāan Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum Wa Kīlāan Are you confident that He will not cause a track of land to cave in beneath you, or unleash a tornado against you, and then you find no protector? 017-068 ‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‌‌ ‍ ‌ ‌‌ ‌
'Am 'Amintum 'An Yu`īdakum Fīhi Tāratan 'Ukhrá Fayursila `Alaykum Qāşifāan Mina Ar-Rīĥi Fayughriqakum Bimā Kafartum ۙ Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum `Alaynā Bihi Tabī`āan Or are you confident that He will not return you to it once again, and unleash a hurricane against you, and drown you for your ingratitude? Then you will find no helper against Us. 017-069 ‌‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‍‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ۙ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‍
Wa Laqad Karramnā Banī 'Ādama Wa Ĥamalnāhum Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Kathīrin Mimman Khalaqnā Tafđīlāan We have honored the Children of Adam, and carried them on land and sea, and provided them with good things, and greatly favored them over many of those We created. 017-070 ‌ ‍‌ ‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‌ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍
Yawma Nad`ū Kulla 'Unāsin Bi'imāmihim ۖ Faman 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Fa'ūlā'ika Yaqra'ūna Kitābahum Wa Lā Yužlamūna Fatīlāan On the Day when We call every people with their leader. Whoever is given his record in his right hand—these will read their record, and they will not be wronged one bit. 017-071 ‌ ‌‍‍‍ ۖ ‍‌‍‍‌ ‍ ‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Man Kāna Fī Hadhihi~ 'A`má Fahuwa Fī Al-'Ākhirati 'A`má Wa 'Ađallu Sabīlāan But whoever is blind in this, he will be blind in the Hereafter, and further astray from the way. 017-072 ‍‌‍‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌‍
Wa 'In Kādū Layaftinūnaka `Ani Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Litaftariya `Alaynā Ghayrahu ۖ Wa 'Idhāan Lāttakhadhūka Khalīlāan They almost lured you away from what We have revealed to you, so that you would invent something else in Our name. In that case, they would have taken you for a friend. 017-073 ‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‌‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍ ۖ ‌‌‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌
Wa Lawlā 'An Thabbatnāka Laqad Kidtta Tarkanu 'Ilayhim Shay'āan Qalīlāan Had We not given you stability, you might have inclined towards them a little. 017-074 ‌ ‌‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌
'Idhāan La'adhaqnāka Đi`fa Al-Ĥayāati Wa Đi`fa Al-Mamāti Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka `Alaynā Naşīrāan Then We would have made you taste double in life, and double at death; then you would have found for yourself no helper against Us. 017-075 ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍ ‌‍‍‍ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Wa 'In Kādū Layastafizzūnaka Mina Al-'Arđi Liyukhrijūka Minhā ۖ Wa 'Idhāan Lā Yalbathūna Khilāfaka 'Illā Qalīlāan They almost provoked you, to expel you from the land. In that case, they would not have lasted after you, except briefly. 017-076 ‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‍‌ ۖ ‌‌‌‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‍ ‌‌
Sunnata Man Qad 'Arsalnā Qablaka Min Rusulinā ۖ Wa Lā Tajidu Lisunnatinā Taĥwīlāan The tradition of the messengers We sent before you—you will find no change in Our rules. 017-077 ‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌‌ ۖ ‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌
'Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Lidulūki Ash-Shamsi 'Ilá Ghasaqi Al-Layli Wa Qur'āna Al-Fajri ۖ 'Inna Qur'āna Al-Fajri Kāna Mash/hūdāan Perform the prayer at the decline of the sun, until the darkness of the night; and the Quran at dawn. The Quran at dawn is witnessed. 017-078 ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍ ‍ ‌‌ ‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ۖ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‌
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fatahajjad Bihi Nāfilatan Laka `Asá 'An Yab`athaka Rabbuka Maqāmāan Maĥmūdāan And keep vigil with it during parts of the night, as an extra prayer. Perhaps your Lord will raise you to a laudable position. 017-079 ‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‍ ‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍‍‍ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‌
Wa Qul Rabbi 'Adkhilnī Mudkhala Şidqin Wa 'Akhrijnī Mukhraja Şidqin Wa Aj`al Lī Min Ladunka Sulţānāan Naşīrāan And say, “My Lord, lead me in through an entry of truth, and lead me out through an exit of truth, and grant me from You a supporting power.” 017-080 ‍ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‍‍ ‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‍ ‍‌‍ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Qul Jā'a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Zahaqa Al-Bāţilu ۚ 'Inna Al-Bāţila Kāna Zahūqāan And say, “The truth has come, and falsehood has withered away; for falsehood is bound to wither away.” 017-081 ‍ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‌‍ ۚ ‍ ‍‍‍
Wa Nunazzilu Mina Al-Qur'āni Mā Huwa Shifā'un Wa Raĥmatun Lilmu'uminīna ۙ Wa Lā Yazīdu Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Khasāan We send down in the Quran healing and mercy for the believers, but it increases the wrongdoers only in loss. 017-082 ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ۙ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‌‌
Wa 'Idhā 'An`amnā `Alá Al-'Insāni 'A`rađa Wa Na'á Bijānibihi ۖ Wa 'Idhā Massahu Ash-Sharru Kāna Ya'ūsāan When We bless the human being, he turns away and distances himself. But when adversity touches him, he is in despair. 017-083 ‌‌‌ ‌‌‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌‌‌ ‍ ۖ ‌‌‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Qul Kullun Ya`malu `Alá Shākilatihi Farabbukum 'A`lamu Biman Huwa 'Ahdá Sabīlāan Say, “Each does according to his disposition. Your Lord knows best who is better guided in the way.” 017-084 ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‌‌
Wa Yas'alūnaka `Ani Ar-Rūĥi ۖ Quli Ar-Rūĥu Min 'Amri Rabbī Wa Mā 'Ūtītum Mina Al-`Ilmi 'Illā Qalīlāan And they ask you about the Spirit. Say, “The Spirit belongs to the domain of my Lord; and you were given only little knowledge.” 017-085 ‍‍‌ ۖ ‍‍‌ ‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‍ ‌‍‌ ‌‍‍ ‌‌
Wa La'in Shi'nā Lanadh/habanna Bial-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka Bihi `Alaynā Wa Kīlāan If We willed, We could take away what We revealed to you. Then you will find for yourself no protecting guardian against Us. 017-086 ‍‌ ‌ ‍ ‌‌‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍ ‍ ‌ ‌ ‍ ‌ ‌
'Illā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika ۚ 'Inna Fađlahu Kāna `Alayka Kabīrāan Except through a mercy from your Lord. His favors upon you have been great. 017-087 ‌ ‌‍ ‌ ‍‌ ‌‍ ۚ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍
Qul La'ini Ajtama`ati Al-'Insu Wa Al-Jinnu `Alá 'An Ya'tū Bimithli Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Lā Ya'tūna Bimithlihi Wa Law Kāna Ba`đuhum Liba`đin Žahīrāan Say, “If mankind and jinn came together to produce the like of this Quran, they could never produce the like of it, even if they backed up one another.” 017-088 ‍ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin Fa'abá 'Aktharu An-Nāsi 'Illā Kufūan We have displayed for mankind in this Quran every kind of similitude, but most people insist on denying the truth. 017-089 ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌
Wa Qālū Lan Nu'umina Laka Ĥattá Tafjura Lanā Mina Al-'Arđi Yanbū`āan And they said, “We will not believe in you unless you make a spring burst from the ground for us. 017-090 ‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‍ ‍‌‍‍
'Aw Takūna Laka Jannatun Min Nakhīlin Wa `Inabin Fatufajjira Al-'Anhāra Khilālahā Tafjīrāan Or you have a garden of palms and vines; then cause rivers to gush pouring through them. 017-091 ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‌‍‍‌ ‍
'Aw Tusqiţa As-Samā'a Kamā Za`amta `Alaynā Kisafāan 'Aw Ta'tiya Billāhi Wa Al-Malā'ikati Qabīlāan Or make the sky fall on us in pieces, as you claim, or bring God and the angels before us. 017-092 ‌‌ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍ ‌
'Aw Yakūna Laka Baytun Min Zukhrufin 'Aw Tarqá Fī As-Samā'i Wa Lan Nu'umina Liruqīyika Ĥattá Tunazzila `Alaynā Kitābāan Naqra'uuhu ۗ Qul Subĥāna Rabbī Hal Kuntu 'Illā Bashaan Rasūlāan Or you possess a house of gold. Or you ascend into the sky. Even then, we will not believe in your ascension, unless you bring down for us a book that we can read.” Say, “Glory be to my Lord. Am I anything but a human messenger?” 017-093 ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‌ ‌‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‍‌‍ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍ ۗ ‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‍‌‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‍
Wa Mā Mana`a An-Nāsa 'An Yu'uminū 'Idh Jā'ahumu Al-Hudá 'Illā 'An Qālū 'Aba`atha Allāhu Bashaan Rasūlāan Nothing prevented the people from believing, when guidance has come to them, except that they said, “Did God send a human messenger?” 017-094 ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌ ‌‌ ‍‍‌ ‌ ‍ ‌‌ ‌‍
Qul Law Kāna Fī Al-'Arđi Malā'ikatun Yamshūna Muţma'innīna Lanazzalnā `Alayhim Mina As-Samā'i Malakāan Rasūlāan Say, “If there were angels on earth, walking around in peace, We would have sent down to them from heaven an angel messenger.” 017-095 ‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌ ‌‍
Qul Kafá Billāhi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum ۚ 'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan Say, “God is enough witness between you and me. He is fully aware of His servants, and He sees them well.” 017-096 ‍ ‌ ‍‍ ‌‌ ‌ ۚ‍‍ ‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍
Wa Man Yahdi Allāhu Fahuwa Al-Muhtadi ۖ Wa Man Yuđlil Falan Tajida Lahum 'Awliyā'a Min Dūnihi ۖ Wa Naĥshuruhum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati `Alá Wajūhihim `Umyāan Wa Bukmāan Wa Şummāan ۖ Ma'wāhum Jahannamu ۖ Kullamā Khabat Zidnāhum Sa`īrāan Whomever God guides is the guided one. And whomever He leaves astray—for them you will find no protectors apart from Him. And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection, on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf. Their abode is Hell; whenever it abates, We intensify the blaze for them. 017-097 ‍‌‍ ‌ ۖ ‌‍‌‍‍‍ ‍‌ ‌ ‌‌‍‍‍‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍ ۖ ‌ ‍ ‍‍‍ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‍ۖ ‌‌ ‍‍‍ۖ‍ ‌
Dhālika Jazā'uuhum Bi'annahum Kafarū Bi'āyātinā Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamabthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan This is their repayment for having blasphemed against Our revelations, and having said, “Shall we, when we have become bones and fragments, be resurrected as a new creation?” 017-098 ‍‍‌‍ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‌‌ ‌
'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Allāha Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Qādirun `Alá 'An Yakhluqa Mithlahum Wa Ja`ala Lahum 'AjalāanRayba Fīhi Fa'abá Až-Žālimūna 'Illā Kufūan Do they not consider that God, Who created the heavens and the earth, is Able to create the likes of them? He has assigned for them a term, in which there is no doubt. But the wrongdoers persist in denying the truth. 017-099 ‌ ‍‌‌‌ ‌ ‍‍ ‍‌‍‍‌‌‍ ‍‌‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‌
Qul Law 'Antum Tamlikūna Khazā'ina Raĥmati Rabbī 'Idhāan La'amsaktum Khashyata Al-'Infāqi ۚ Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Qatūan Say, “If you possessed the treasuries of my Lord’s mercy, you would have withheld them for fear of spending.” The human being has always been stingy. 017-100 ‍ ‌ ‌‌‍ ‍‍‍ ‍‍‌ ‌‍ ‌‍ ‌‌‌‍‍‍‍ ۚ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‌‌
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Tis`a 'Āyātin Bayyinātin ۖ Fās'l Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Idh Jā'ahum Faqāla Lahu Fir`awnu 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yāmūsá Masĥūan We gave Moses nine clear signs—ask the Children of Israel. When he went to them, Pharaoh said to him, “I think that you, Moses, are bewitched.” 017-101 ‌ ‌‌ ‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‌ ‍‍‍ۖ‍‍‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‌
Qāla Laqad `Alimta Mā 'Anzala Hā'uulā' 'Illā Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Başā'ira Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yā Fir`awnu Mathan He said, “You know that none sent these down except the Lord of the heavens and the earth—eye openers; and I think that you, Pharaoh, are doomed.” 017-102 ‍‍‌ ‍‌ ‌‌‍ ‍‍‍‌‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‍ ‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‍ ‍‍‍‍ ‍ ‌‌
Fa'arāda 'An Yastafizzahum Mina Al-'Arđi Fa'aghraqnāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Jamī`āan He resolved to scare them off the land, but We drowned him, and those with him, altogether. 017-103 ‍‌‌‌ ‌‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‌
Wa Qulnā Min Ba`dihi Libanī 'Isrā'īla Askunū Al-'Arđa Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Ji'nā Bikum Lafīfāan After him, We said to the Children of Israel, “Inhabit the land, and when the promise of the Hereafter arrives, We will bring you all together.” 017-104 ‍‌ ‍‌ ‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍ ‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ‌‌ ‍‍
Wa Bil-Ĥaqqi 'Anzalnāhu Wa Bil-Ĥaqqi Nazala ۗ Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka 'Illā Mubashshirāan Wa Nadhīrāan With the truth We sent it down, and with the truth it descended. We sent you only as a bearer of good news and a warner. 017-105 ‌‌‍‍‍‍ ‌‍ ۗ ‌‍‌ ‌‌‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‌ ‌‍
Wa Qur'ānāan Faraqnāhu Litaqra'ahu `Alá An-Nāsi `Alá Mukthin Wa Nazzalnāhu Tanzīlāan A Quran which We unfolded gradually, that you may recite to the people over time. And We revealed it in stages. 017-106 ‍‌‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍ ‍‌‍‍
Qul 'Āminū Bihi~ 'Aw Lā Tu'uminū ۚ 'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma Min Qablihi~ 'Idhā Yutlá `Alayhim Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Sujjadāan Say, “Believe in it, or do not believe.” Those who were given knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, they fall to their chins, prostrating. 017-107 ‍ ‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‍ۚ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‍ ‍‌ ‍‍‍ ‌‌‌‌ ‌ ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‍
Wa Yaqūlūna Subĥāna Rabbinā 'In Kāna Wa`du Rabbinā Lamaf`ūlāan And they say, “Glory to our Lord. The promise of our Lord is fulfilled.” 017-108 ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‌‍‌ ‌‌‍‍ ‌‌ ‌‍
Wa Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Yabkūna Wa Yazīduhum Khushū`āan And they fall to their chins, weeping, and it adds to their humility. 017-109 ‍‍‍‍‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍
Qul Ad Allaha 'Aw Ad Ar-Raĥmana ۖ 'Ayyanan Mmā Tad`ū Falahu Al-'Asmā'u Al-Ĥusná ۚ Wa Lā Tajhar Bişalātika Wa Lā Tukhāfit Bihā Wa Abtaghi Bayna Dhālika Sabīlāan Say, “Call Him God, or call Him the Most Merciful. Whichever name you use, to Him belong the Best Names.” And be neither loud in your prayer, nor silent in it, but follow a course in between. 017-110 ‍ ‌‌‌ ۖ‍‌ ‍‍‍‌‌ ۚ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌‌ ‍‍‍‍ ‌ ‌‍‍‍‍‍ ‌
Wa Quli Al-Ĥamdu Lillāh Al-Ladhī Lam Yattakhidh Waladāan Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Sharīkun Al-Mulki Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Wa Līyun Mina Adh-Dhulli ۖ Wa Kabbirhu Takbīrāan And say, “Praise be to God, who has not begotten a son, nor has He a partner in sovereignty, nor has He an ally out of weakness, and glorify Him constantly.” 017-111 ‍‍‍‌ ‌‌‌ ‌ ‍‌‍‍‍‍‌ ‌ ‍‌ۖ ‌‍
