| 'Idhā Zulzilati Al-'Arđu Zilzālahā | َ099-001 When the earth is shaken with its violent shaking, | إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا |
| Wa 'Akhrajati Al-'Arđu 'Athqālahā | َ099-002 And when the earth shall throw up all her treasures, | وَأَخْرَجَتِ الأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا |
| Wa Qāla Al-'Insānu Mā Lahā | َ099-003 And when a person will say (in bewilderment at the extraordinary happenings on the earth), `What is the matter with her?´ | وَقَالَ الإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا |
| Yawma'idhin Tuĥaddithu 'Akhbārahā | َ099-004 That day she will relate all her news (pertaining to every action done in secret on it). | يَوْمَئِذ ٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا |
| Bi'anna Rabbaka 'Awĥá Lahā | َ099-005 For your Lord will have inspired her (to do so). | بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَى لَهَا |
| Yawma'idhin Yaşduru An-Nāsu 'Ashtātāan Liyuraw 'A`mālahum | َ099-006 On that day (of Reckoning) all people will come forth in various groups to be shown (the results of) their deeds. | يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتا ً لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ |
| Faman Ya`mal Mithqāla Dharratin Khayrāan Yarahu | َ099-007 Then whosoever has done so much as an atom´s weight of good will see (the good result of) it. | فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرا ً يَرَهُ |
| Wa Man Ya`mal Mithqāla Dharratin Sharrāan Yarahu | َ099-008 Similarly whosoever has done so much as an atom´s weight of evil shall also see it. | وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّة ٍ شَرّا ً يَرَهُ |
