| Hal 'Atá `Alá Al-'Insāni Ĥīnun Mina Ad-Dahri Lam Yakun Shay'āan Madhkūrāan | َ076-001 There did pass over a human being a while of a long space of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning. | هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الإِنسَانِ حِين ٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئا ً مَذْكُورا ً |
| 'Innā Khalaqnā Al-'Insāna Min Nuţfatin 'Amshājin Nabtalīhi Faja`alnāhu Samī`āan Başīrāan | َ076-002 We have surely created a human being from a sperm drop uniting (it) with (an ovum); We wanted to bestow Our favour on him. That is why We made him hearing and seeing (- enjoying discretion and volition, and so responsible for his actions). | إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاج ٍ نَبْتَلِيه ِِ فَجَعَلْنَاه ُُ سَمِيعا ً بَصِيرا ً |
| 'Innā Hadaynāhu As-Sabīla 'Immā Shākirāan Wa 'Immā Kafūrāan | َ076-003 Verily, We have shown him the path clearly (giving him the full choice) whether he be grateful or ungrateful. | إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرا ً وَإِمَّا كَفُورا ً |
| 'Innā 'A`tadnā Lilkāfirīna Salāsilāan Wa 'Aghlālāan Wa Sa`īrāan | َ076-004 We have indeed prepared for the ungrateful chains and shackles and the blazing Fire. | إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلاَسِلا ً وَأَغْلاَلا ً وَسَعِيرا ً |
| 'Inna Al-'Abrāra Yashrabūna Min Ka'sin Kāna Mizājuhā Kāfūrāan | َ076-005 The virtuous shall truly drink of a cup tempered with camphor (a symbol of purity and coolness). | إِنَّ الأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ كَأْس ٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورا ً |
| `Aynāan Yashrabu Bihā `Ibādu Al-Lahi Yufajjirūnahā Tafjīrāan | َ076-006 (The drink is from) a spring from which the devotees of Allâh shall drink. They will strive hard in directing it to flow in abundance (enabling others to drink from it). | عَيْنا ً يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرا ً |
| Yūfūna Bin-Nadhri Wa Yakhāfūna Yawmāan Kāna Sharruhu Mustaţīrāan | َ076-007 They fulfill (their) vows (by doing their duty to God and mankind) and fear a day the woes of which shall be wide spread. | يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْما ً كَانَ شَرُّه ُُ مُسْتَطِيرا ً |
| Wa Yuţ`imūna Aţ-Ţa`āma `Alá Ĥubbihi Miskīnāan Wa Yatīmāan Wa 'Asīrāan | َ076-008 They give food for the love of Him to the indigent, the orphan and the captive. | وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّه ِِ مِسْكِينا ً وَيَتِيما ً وَأَسِيرا ً |
| 'Innamā Nuţ`imukum Liwajhi Al-Lahi Lā Nurīdu Minkum Jazā'an Wa Lā Shukūrāan | َ076-009 (Assuring them by their gestures,) `We feed you only to seek the pleasure of Allâh, we desire no recompense from you nor thanks. | إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لاَ نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاء ً وَلاَ شُكُورا ً |
| 'Innā Nakhāfu Min Rabbinā Yawmāan `Abūsāan Qamţarīrāan | َ076-010 `We surely fear from our Lord (the punishment of) a day (on which the wrong doers will be) frowning and distressful.´ | إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَبِّنَا يَوْماً عَبُوسا ً قَمْطَرِيرا ً |
| Fawaqāhumu Al-Lahu Sharra Dhālika Al-Yawmi Wa Laqqāhum Nađratan Wa Surūrāan | َ076-011 So Allâh will guard them from the evil of that day and will bestow on them cheerfulness (of face) and happiness (of mind). | فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَة ً وَسُرُورا ً |
| Wa Jazāhum Bimā Şabarū Jannatan Wa Ĥarīrāan | َ076-012 And will reward them for their having persevered, with (a blissful) Garden (to live in) and silk (to wear). | وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّة ً وَحَرِيرا ً |
| Muttaki'īna Fīhā `Alá Al-'Arā'iki ۖ Lā Yarawna Fīhā Shamsāan Wa Lā Zamharīrāan | َ076-013 (They shall be) reclining on raised couches. They shall experience therein neither excessive heat of the sun nor intense cold. | مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ ۖ لاَ يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسا ً وَلاَ زَمْهَرِيرا ً |
| Wa Dāniyatan `Alayhim Žilāluhā Wa Dhullilat Quţūfuhā Tadhlīlāan | َ076-014 There shall be spreading close over them the shades of it (- the Garden full of trees), and their clustered fruit brought low within their easy reach. | وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلاَلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلا ً |
| Wa Yuţāfu `Alayhim Bi'āniyatin Min Fiđđatin Wa 'Akwābin Kānat Qawārīra | َ076-015 They shall be served round in vessels of silver and goblets of crystal, | وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَة ٍ مِنْ فِضَّة ٍ وَأَكْوَاب ٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَ |
| Qawārīra Min Fiđđatin Qaddarūhā Taqdīrāan | َ076-016 (Looking) crystal clear (but made) of silver, made in special mold determined (by the agents of the Lord of judgment and measure). | قَوَارِيرَ مِنْ فِضَّة ٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرا ً |
| Wa Yusqawna Fīhā Ka'sāan Kāna Mizājuhā Zanjabīlāan | َ076-017 And therein they shall be given to drink a cup which is tempered with ginger (a symbol of strength), | وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسا ً كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنجَبِيلا ً |
| `Aynāan Fīhā Tusammá Salsabīlāan | َ076-018 (Which flows from) a spring therein called Salsabîl (- inquire about the way). | عَيْنا ً فِيهَا تُسَمَّى سَلْسَبِيلا ً |
| Wa Yaţūfu `Alayhim Wildānun Mukhalladūna 'Idhā Ra'aytahum Ĥasibtahum Lu'ulu'uāan Manthūrāan | َ076-019 Sons of perpetual bloom shall go round (waiting upon) them. When you see them you will take them to be pearls scattered about. | وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَان ٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤا ً مَنثُورا ً |
| Wa 'Idhā Ra'ayta Thamma Ra'ayta Na`īmāan Wa Mulkāan Kabīrāan | َ076-020 When you look (considering the Garden as a whole) you will find therein blessings abounding everywhere and (all the equipments of) a splendid kingdom. | وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيما ً وَمُلْكا ً كَبِيرا ً |
| `Āliyahum Thiyābu Sundusin Khuđrun Wa 'Istabraqun ۖ Wa Ĥullū 'Asāwira Min Fiđđatin Wa Saqāhum Rabbuhum Sharābāan Ţahūrāan | َ076-021 Over them shall be robes of fine green silk and of thick brocade, and they shall be given bracelets of silver as ornaments. And their Lord shall give them to drink a purifying beverage. | عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُندُسٍ خُضْر ٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَق ٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّة ٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابا ً طَهُورا ً |
| 'Inna Hādhā Kāna Lakum Jazā'an Wa Kāna Sa`yukum Mashkūrāan | َ076-022 (It will be said,) `This is indeed a reward for you, and your striving has been fully appreciated.´ | إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاء ً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَشْكُورا ً |
| 'Innā Naĥnu Nazzalnā `Alayka Al-Qur'āna Tanzīlāan | َ076-023 Surely, it is We, yes We Who have revealed to you the Qur´ân by a gradual and piecemeal revelation. | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنْزِيلا ً |
| Fāşbir Liĥukmi Rabbika Wa Lā Tuţi` Minhum 'Āthimāan 'Aw Kafūrāan | َ076-024 Therefore abide perseveringly by the commandments of your Lord (and wait for the fulfillment of the prophecies) and yield to none of the sinful and ungrateful (disbelievers). | فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلاَ تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِماً أَوْ كَفُورا ً |
| Wa Adhkur Asma Rabbika Bukratan Wa 'Aşīlāan | َ076-025 Extol the name of your Lord morning and evening, | وَاذْكُرْ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَة ً وَأَصِيلا ً |
| Wa Mina Al-Layli Fāsjud Lahu Wa Sabbiĥhu Laylāan Ţawīlāan | َ076-026 And prostrate yourselves before Him for a part of the night and give Him glory for long hours of the night | وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَه ُُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلا ً طَوِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Hā'uulā' Yuĥibbūna Al-`Ājilata Wa Yadharūna Warā'ahum Yawmāan Thaqīlāan | َ076-027 Verily, these (disbelieving people) love the present transient life and neglect very hard day (which lies) ahead of them. | إِنَّ هَاؤُلاَء يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْما ً ثَقِيلا ً |
| Naĥnu Khalaqnāhum Wa Shadadnā 'Asrahum ۖ Wa 'Idhā Shi'nā Baddalnā 'Amthālahum Tabdīlāan | َ076-028 It is We Who have created them and strengthened their make, and We shall replace them with their like whenever We please. | نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Hadhihi Tadhkiratun ۖ Faman Shā'a Attakhadha 'Ilá Rabbihi Sabīlāan | َ076-029 Verily, this Qur´ân is a Reminder. So let him who wishes, take a way to his Lord. | إِنَّ هَذِه ِِ تَذْكِرَة ٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّه ِِ سَبِيلا ً |
| Wa Mā Tashā'ūna 'Illā 'An Yashā'a Al-Lahu ۚ 'Inna Al-Laha Kāna `Alīmāan Ĥakīmāan | َ076-030 And you (true believers) should wish no other way except as Allâh wishes (for you). Verily, Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. | وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيماً حَكِيما ً |
| Yudkhilu Man Yashā'u Fī Raĥmatihi Wa ۚ Až-Žālimīna 'A`adda Lahum `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan | َ076-031 He admits to His mercy those who wish (and strive) for it. As to the wrong-doers, He has prepared a woeful punishment for them. | يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِه ِِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيما ً |
