| Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Muzzammilu | َ073-001 O you that have wrapped yourself up in robes (of Prophethood)! | يَاأَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ |
| Qumi Al-Layla 'Illā Qalīlāan | َ073-002 Stand up (in Prayer) at night except for a small portion of it, | قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً |
| Nişfahu 'Aw Anquş Minhu Qalīlāan | َ073-003 Half of it or you may however reduce it a little, | نِصْفَهُ~ُ أَوْ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلا ً |
| 'Aw Zid `Alayhi Wa Rattili Al-Qur'āna Tartīlāan | َ073-004 Or prolong it (a little more) and keep on reciting the Qur´ân distinctly and thoughtfully well. | أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلا ً |
| 'Innā Sanulqī `Alayka Qawlāan Thaqīlāan | َ073-005 Verily, We are soon going to charge you with the enormous and important responsibility of (conveying to mankind) the Message (of your Lord). | إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلا ً ثَقِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Nāshi'ata Al-Layli Hiya 'Ashaddu Waţ'āan Wa 'Aqwamu Qīlāan | َ073-006 Verily, getting up at night (for Prayer) is the most effective means of subduing (one´s self), and the most upright way to acquire firm control over one´s actions and speech. | إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْئا ً وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Laka Fī Aalnnahāri Sabĥāan Ţawīlāan | َ073-007 Indeed, you have a long (chain of) engagements during the day. | إِنَّ لَكَ فِي اَلنَّهَارِ سَبْحا ً طَوِيلا ً |
| Wa Adhkur Asma Rabbika Wa Tabattal 'Ilayhi Tabtīlāan | َ073-008 Therefore extol the name of your Lord and devote (yourself) to Him with exclusive and sincere devotion. | وَاذْكُرْ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلا ً |
| Rabbu Al-Mashriqi Wa Al-Maghribi Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Fa Attakhidh/hu Wa Kīlāan | َ073-009 He is the Lord of the east and the west. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He, therefore take Him as Disposer of (your) affairs (putting your full trust in Him). | رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلا ً |
| Wa Aşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Ahjurhum Hajrāan Jamīlāan | َ073-010 And patiently persevere in the face of all that these (enemies) say and withdraw from them in a graceful manner. | وَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرا ً جَمِيلا ً |
| Wa Dharnī Wa Al-Mukadhdhibīna 'Ūlī An-Na`mati Wa Mahhilhum Qalīlāan | َ073-011 Leave Me to (deal with) those who belie (the truth) and who are possessors of ease and plenty. And give them a little respite. | وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Ladaynā 'Ankālāan Wa Jaĥīmāan | َ073-012 We have (a variety of) fetters ready (to bind them with) and a raging Fire (to throw them into), | إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنكَالا ً وَجَحِيما ً |
| Wa Ţa`āmāan Dhā Ghuşşatin Wa `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan | َ073-013 And food that chokes and a woeful punishment. | وَطَعَاما ً ذَا غُصَّة ٍ وَعَذَاباً أَلِيما ً |
| Yawma Tarjufu Al-'Arđu Wa Al-Jibālu Wa Kānati Al-Jibālu Kathībāan Mahīlāan | َ073-014 (That punishment will befall them) on the day when the earth and the mountains shall quake and the mountains shall crumble into heaps of sand dunes. | يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبا ً مَهِيلا ً |
| 'Innā 'Arsalnā 'Ilaykum Rasūlāan Shāhidāan `Alaykum Kamā 'Arsalnā 'Ilá Fir`awna Rasūlāan | َ073-015 (Mankind!) We have indeed sent a (great) Messenger to you who is a Witness over you just as We sent (Moses as) a Messenger towards Pharaoh. | إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولا ً شَاهِداً عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولا ً |
| Fa`aşá Fir`awnu Ar-Rasūla Fa'akhadhnāhu 'Akhdhāan Wabīlāan | َ073-016 But Pharaoh disobeyed the Messenger so We seized him with a terrible punishment (so all of you be on your guard against such an attitude!) | فَعَصَى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ~ُ أَخْذا ً وَبِيلا ً |
| Fakayfa Tattaqūna 'In Kafartum Yawmāan Yaj`alu Al-Wildāna Shībāan | َ073-017 But if you also disobey (the Messenger sent to you), how will you then guard yourselves from the (calamity of the) day which will turn (even) children (prematurely) gray-headed. | فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْما ً يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبا ً |
| As-Samā'u Munfaţirun Bihi ۚ Kāna Wa`duhu Maf`ūlāan | َ073-018 And because of which the heaven shall be rent asunder. (This is the promise of God,) remember His promise is bound to be fulfilled. | السَّمَاءُ مُنْفَطِر ٌ بِه ِِ ۚ كَانَ وَعْدُه ُُ مَفْعُولا ً |
| 'Inna Hadhihi Tadhkiratun ۖ Faman Shā'a Attakhadha 'Ilá Rabbihi Sabīlāan | َ073-019 Verily, this (Qur´ân) is a Reminder, therefore, let him, who will, follow the way leading towards his Lord. | إِنَّ هَذِه ِِ تَذْكِرَة ٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّه ِِ سَبِيلا ً |
| 'Inna Rabbaka Ya`lamu 'Annaka Taqūmu 'Adná Min Thuluthayi Al-Layli Wa Nişfahu Wa Thuluthahu Wa Ţā'ifatun Mina Al-Ladhīna Ma`aka Wa ۚ Allāhu Yuqaddiru Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra ۚ `Alima 'An Lan Tuĥşūhu Fatāba `Alaykum ۖ Fāqra'ū Mā Tayassara Mina Al-Qur'āni ۚ `Alima 'An Sayakūnu Minkum Marđá ۙ Wa 'Ākharūna Yađribūna Fī Al-'Arđi Yabtaghūna Min Fađli Al-Lahi ۙ Wa 'Ākharūna Yuqātilūna Fī Sabīli Al-Lahi ۖ Fāqra'ū Mā Tayassara Minhu ۚ Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Ātū Az-Zakāata Wa 'Aqriđū Al-Laha Qarđāan Ĥasanāan ۚ Wa Mā Tuqaddimū Li'nfusikum Min Khayrin Tajidūhu `Inda Al-Lahi Huwa Khayrāan Wa 'A`žama 'Ajrāan ۚ Wa Astaghfirū Al-Laha ۖ 'Inna Al-Laha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun | َ073-020 Surely, your Lord knows that you remain standing (to say Night Prayers) for nearly two thirds of the night and (sometimes) half or one third of it; and so does a party of those (of your believing Companions) who are with you. And Allâh determines the night and the day (- sometime the nights are long and sometime they are short and sometime the day and the night are equal). He knows that you (- the Muslims in general) will not be able to keep up so long a vigil (to say Night Prayer). He has, therefore, turned to you with mercy. Recite then, as much of the Qur´ân (in your Night Prayer) as is easily possible. He knows that some of you may be taken ill and others may be moving about in the land seeking Allâh´s bounty, and still others who may be fighting for the cause of Allâh, so (O Muslims!) recite as much of it (- the Qur´ân) as is easily possible (for you). You shall, however, observe Prayer (regularly five times a day in all events). And go on presenting Zakât and set apart a goodly portion (of your possessions to give for (the sake of) Allâh. And whatever good you send on before for yourselves, you will find it with Allâh as the best of things meriting the greatest reward. And seek protection of Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Protecting, Ever Merciful. | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَى مِنْ ثُلُثَيِ اللَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَه ُُ وَثُلُثَه ُُ وَطَائِفَة ٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ عَلِمَ أَنْ لَنْ تُحْصُوه ُُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ۚ عَلِمَ أَنْ سَيَكُونُ مِنْكُمْ مَرْضَى ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ ۚ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضاً حَسَنا ً ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأنْفُسِكُمْ مِنْ خَيْر ٍ تَجِدُوه ُُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرا ً وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرا ً ۚ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ |
