| Qāf Wa Al-Qur'āni Al-Majīdi | َ050-001 Qâf. And the glorious Qur´ân. | قَاف وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ |
| Bal `Ajibū 'An Jā'ahum Mundhirun Minhum Faqāla Al-Kāfirūna Hādhā Shay'un `Ajībun | َ050-002 Behold! these (disbelievers) wonder that there has come to them a Warner who hails from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, `This is a strange thing, | بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَنْ جَاءَهُمْ مُنْذِر ٌ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيب ٌ |
| 'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan ۖ Dhālika Raj`un Ba`īdun | َ050-003 `What! when we are dead and reduced to dust, (shall we be raised to life again)? This (sort of) return is highly impossible.´ | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابا ً ۖ ذَلِكَ رَجْع ٌ بَعِيد ٌ |
| Qad `Alimnā Mā Tanquşu Al-'Arđu Minhum ۖ Wa `Indanā Kitābun Ĥafīžun | َ050-004 We know how much of them the earth consumes (and how much it adds to them). We have with Us a book that preserves (everything - the Law of conservation). | قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنْقُصُ الأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظ ٌ |
| Bal Kadhdhabū Bil-Ĥaqqi Lammā Jā'ahum Fahum Fī 'Amrin Marījin | َ050-005 Nay, (the truth of the matter is that) they denied the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a state of confusion. | بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْر ٍ مَرِيج ٍ |
| 'Afalam Yanžurū 'Ilá As-Samā'i Fawqahum Kayfa Banaynāhā Wa Zayyannāhā Wa Mā Lahā Min Furūjin | َ050-006 Do they not look at the sky above them, how We have made it and decked it out fair, so that it has no flaws? | أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوج ٍ |
| Wa Al-'Arđa Madadnāhā Wa 'Alqaynā Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Bahījin | َ050-007 (Do they not look at) the earth how We have spread it out and stretched it forth, and set firm mountains in it, and caused to grow in it every beautiful species (of growth). | وَالأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْج ٍ بَهِيج ٍ |
| Tabşiratan Wa Dhikrá Likulli `Abdin Munībin | َ050-008 (We have done all this so that it may serve as) a source of enlightenment and a means of admonition to every servant (of Ours) who turns to Us. | تَبْصِرَة ً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْد ٍ مُنِيب ٍ |
| Wa Nazzalnā Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Mubārakāan Fa'anbatnā Bihi Jannātin Wa Ĥabba Al-Ĥaşīdi | َ050-009 And We send down from the clouds water which is of great utility and blessings, and We cause to produce with it gardens and grains of the crop that is reaped, | وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً مُبَارَكا ً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِه ِِ جَنَّات ٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ |
| Wa An-Nakhla Bāsiqātin Lahā Ţal`un Nađīdun | َ050-010 And tall (and stately) palm-trees laden with spathes, clusters over clusters, | وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَات ٍ لَهَا طَلْع ٌ نَضِيد ٌ |
| Rizqāan Lil`ibādi ۖ Wa 'Aĥyaynā Bihi Baldatan Maytāan ۚ Kadhālika Al-Khurūju | َ050-011 To serve Our servants for sustenance. And by means of this (water) We raise the dead land to life. That is how the Resurrection shall come to be. | رِزْقا ً لِلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِه ِِ بَلْدَة ً مَيْتا ً ۚ كَذَلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ |
| Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa 'Aşĥābu Ar-Rassi Wa Thamūdu | َ050-012 The people of Noah denied (the Hereafter) before them and so did the people of the Rass, and (the tribe of) Thamûd, | كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوح ٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ |
| Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Wa 'Ikhwānu Lūţin | َ050-013 And (the tribe of) `âd and Pharaoh and the kinsmen of Lot, | وَعَاد ٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوط ٍ |
| Wa 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati Wa Qawmu Tubba`in ۚ Kullun Kadhdhaba Ar-Rusula Faĥaqqa Wa`īdi | َ050-014 And the dwellers of the Thicket and the people of Tubba`. All of them cried lies to the Messengers (of God) so that My threatened punishment duly befell them. | وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّع ٍ ۚ كُلّ ٌ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ |
| 'Afa`ayīnā Bil-Khalqi Al-'Awwali ۚ Bal Hum Fī Labsin Min Khalqin Jadīdin | َ050-015 Are We wearied with the first creation (that We will not be able to create them the second time on the Day of Resurrection)? The fact is that they are in confusing doubt about a new creation. | أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْس ٍ مِنْ خَلْق ٍ جَدِيد ٍ |
| Wa Laqad Khalaqnā Al-'Insāna Wa Na`lamu Mā Tuwaswisu Bihi Nafsuhu ۖ Wa Naĥnu 'Aqrabu 'Ilayhi Min Ĥabli Al-Warīdi | َ050-016 We created a human being and We know what (dark) suggestions his mind makes to him. We are nearer to him than even (his) jugular vein. | وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِه ِِ نَفْسُه ُُ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ |
| 'Idh Yatalaqqá Al-Mutalaqqiyāni `Ani Al-Yamīni Wa `Ani Ash-Shimāli Qa`īdun | َ050-017 Behold, the two recording (angels) sitting one on (his) right and one on (his) left go on preparing the record (of his deeds). | إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيد ٌ |
| Mā Yalfižu Min Qawlin 'Illā Ladayhi Raqībun `Atīdun | َ050-018 He utters not a word but (it is noted down by) a guardian (angel of his who) stands ready by his side (to record his words). | مَا يَلْفِظُ مِنْ قَوْل ٍ إِلاَّ لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيد ٌ |
| Wa Jā'at Sakratu Al-Mawti Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Dhālika Mā Kunta Minhu Taĥīdu | َ050-019 (Mankind!) the stupor of death has truly to come. This is the thing which you were trying to avoid. | وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنْتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ |
| Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri ۚ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Wa`īdi | َ050-020 And the trumpet shall be sounded. That will be the Day, the warning of which has (already) been given. | وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ |
| Wa Jā'at Kullu Nafsin Ma`ahā Sā'iqun Wa Shahīdun | َ050-021 And every soul shall come forth (to account for his deeds). He will be accompanied by (an angel) who shall drive it and (an angel) who shall bear witness. | وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَعَهَا سَائِق ٌ وَشَهِيد ٌ |
| Laqad Kunta Fī Ghaflatin Min Hādhā Fakashafnā `Anka Ghiţā'aka Fabaşaruka Al-Yawma Ĥadīdun | َ050-022 (Then We shall say,) `Certainly, you were heedless of this day. But (now) We have removed from you your veil and your sight is very sharp this day.´ | لَقَدْ كُنْتَ فِي غَفْلَة ٍ مِنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنْكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيد ٌ |
| Wa Qāla Qarīnuhu Hādhā Mā Ladayya `Atīdun | َ050-023 And his (other angel) companion (who will come to bear witness) shall say, `Here is (the record of his deeds) ready with me.´ | وَقَالَ قَرِينُه ُُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيد ٌ |
| 'Alqiyā Fī Jahannama Kulla Kaffārin `Anīdin | َ050-024 (The sentence will be,) `Cast you two (angels), yes, cast in to Gehenna every hardened disbelieving enemy (of truth), | أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيد ٍ |
| Mannā`in Lilkhayri Mu`tadin Murībin | َ050-025 `Forbidder of good, transgressor, entertainer of doubts, | مَنَّاع ٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَد ٍ مُرِيب ٍ |
| Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fa'alqiyāhu Fī Al-`Adhābi Ash-Shadīdi | َ050-026 `Who sets up (for worship) another deity beside Allâh. So cast you two, yes, cast him in the severe punishment.´ | الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاه ُُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ |
| Qāla Qarīnuhu Rabbanā Mā 'Aţghaytuhu Wa Lakin Kāna Fī Đalālin Ba`īdin | َ050-027 (The disbeliever will blame) his (evil) associate (who) will say, `O our Lord! it was not I that seduced him to transgress but he himself was deeply sunk in error.´ | قَالَ قَرِينُه ُُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُه ُُ وَلَكِنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ بَعِيد ٍ |
| Qāla Lā Takhtaşimū Ladayya Wa Qad Qaddamtu 'Ilaykum Bil-Wa`īdi | َ050-028 He (- God) will say, `Dispute not (with each other) in My presence. I had already given you the warning (of this punishment) beforehand. | قَالَ لاَ تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَعِيدِ |
| Mā Yubaddalu Al-Qawlu Ladayya Wa Mā 'Anā Bižallāmin Lil`abīdi | َ050-029 `The judgment given by Me cannot be changed and I am not at all unjust to (My) servants.´ | مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلاَّم ٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ |
| Yawma Naqūlu Lijahannama Hal Amtala'ti Wa Taqūlu Hal Min Mazīdin | َ050-030 On that Day We will ask Gehenna, `Are you filled up (with the inmates of the hell)?´ It will go on saying (expressing its state), `Are there anymore (that I can take)?´ | يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلْ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيد ٍ |
| Wa 'Uzlifati Al-Jannatu Lilmuttaqīna Ghayra Ba`īdin | َ050-031 (On that Day) Paradise will be brought near to those who had become secure against evil, (it will be) no more a thing distant (from them). | وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيد ٍ |
| Hādhā Mā Tū`adūna Likulli 'Awwābin Ĥafīžin | َ050-032 (It will be said,) `Here is that (Paradise) you were promised. (It is) for those who turned (to their Lord) again and again (seeking His mercy) and observed (His laws) with care, | هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظ ٍ |
| Man Khashiya Ar-Raĥmana Bil-Ghaybi Wa Jā'a Biqalbin Munībin | َ050-033 `Those who stood in awe of the Gracious (God) in the heart of their hearts, even unseen and came to Him with a heart turned in sincere devotion (to Him). | مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَنَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاءَ بِقَلْب ٍ مُنِيب ٍ |
| Adkhulūhā Bisalāmin ۖ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khulūdi | َ050-034 `Enter this (Paradise) in peace. this is a period lasting for ever.´ | ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَم ٍ ۖ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ |
| Lahum Mā Yashā'ūna Fīhā Wa Ladaynā Mazīdun | َ050-035 They will have there all that they desire and We have in store much more (than this to give them). | لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيد ٌ |
| Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Qablahum Min Qarnin Hum 'Ashaddu Minhum Baţshāan Fanaqqabū Fī Al-Bilādi Hal Min Maĥīşin | َ050-036 So many (a guilty) generation, who were mightier than these people in prowess, have We destroyed (for their wrongs) before them. They journeyed from land to land (to escape). (But We seized them with Our punishment.) Was there any asylum (for them) to take refuge? | وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشا ً فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلاَدِ هَلْ مِنْ مَحِيص ٍ |
| 'Inna Fī Dhālika Ladhikrá Liman Kāna Lahu Qalbun 'Aw 'Alqá As-Sam`a Wa Huwa Shahīdun | َ050-037 All this contains a lesson for every such person as has (an understanding) heart, or gives ear (while) his mind is attentive. | إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَنْ كَانَ لَه ُُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيد ٌ |
| Wa Laqad Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Wa Mā Massanā Min Lughūbin | َ050-038 And verily, We created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six aeons, and no weariness (even) touched Us. | وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّام ٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِنْ لُغُوب ٍ |
| Fāşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Sabbiĥ Biĥamdi Rabbika Qabla Ţulū`i Ash-Shamsi Wa Qabla Al-Ghurūbi | َ050-039 So bear with patience what they say, and glorify your Lord with His praises and extol His Holiness before sunrise and sunset, | فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ |
| Wa Mina Al-Layli Fasabbiĥhu Wa 'Adbāra As-Sujūdi | َ050-040 And celebrate His praises during parts of the night and after (prescribed) prostrations (in your Prayers). | وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ |
| Wa Astami` Yawma Yunādi Al-Munādi Min Makānin Qarībin | َ050-041 (Reader) hearken! on the day when one that calls will call from a place quite near, | وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِنْ مَكَان ٍ قَرِيب ٍ |
| Yawma Yasma`ūna Aş-Şayĥata Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khurūji | َ050-042 The day they hear the inevitable mighty blast, that will be the day of coming forth (from the graves). | يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ |
| 'Innā Naĥnu Nuĥyī Wa Numītu Wa 'Ilaynā Al-Maşīru | َ050-043 It is We Who give life and cause death and to Us is the (final) return (of all). | إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ |
| Yawma Tashaqqaqu Al-'Arđu `Anhum Sirā`āan ۚ Dhālika Ĥashrun `Alaynā Yasīrun | َ050-044 The day when the earth shall cleave asunder from above the people and they be revealed. They will come rushing forth. It will be easy for Us to raise them to life and gather them together. | يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعا ً ۚ ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِير ٌ |
| Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yaqūlūna ۖ Wa Mā 'Anta `Alayhim Bijabbārin ۖ Fadhakkir Bil-Qur'āni Man Yakhāfu Wa`īdi | َ050-045 We are well-aware of what they say. You are not one to overawe them and cannot reform them by means of force. (Therefore pay no heed to what they say,) rather admonish with the Qur´ân such of them as shall fear My warning. | نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِجَبَّار ٍ ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَنْ يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ |
