Ĥā-Mīm َ046-001 Hâ Mîm. حَا-مِيم
Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi َ046-002 The gradual revelation of this perfect Book proceeds from Allâh the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ
Khalaq As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ajalin Musammáan Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Ammā 'Undhirū Mu`rūna َ046-003 We have not created the heavens and the earth and what lies between them both but with an eternal purpose and for a term appointed. Yet those who have disbelieved in what they have been warned of are the ones who turn away (from this Qur´ân). مَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً  ۚ  وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَمَّا أُنْذِرُوا مُعْرِضُونَ
Qul 'Ara'aytum Mā Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'Arūnī Mādhā Khalaqū Mina Al-'Arđi 'Am Lahum Shirkun As-Samāwāti  ۖ  Ai'tūnī Bikitābin Min Qabli Hādhā 'Aw 'Athāratin Min `Ilmin 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ046-004 Say, `Do you realize what it is you call on, apart from Allâh? Show me what portion of the earth they have created. Or have they (played) a part in (the planning and creation of) the heavens? Bring me any Book (revealed) before this or some vestige of knowledge (to confirm your practices) if you are truthful (in your claim).´ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْك ٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ  ۖ  اِئْتُونِي بِكِتَاب ٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَذَا أَوْ أَثَارَة ٍ مِنْ عِلْم ٍ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Wa Man 'Ađallu Mimman Yad`ū Min Dūni Al-Lahi Man Lā Yastajību Lahu 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Wa Hum `An Du`ā'ihim Ghāfilūna َ046-005 And who is more misguided than the person who instead of (praying to) Allâh prays to those who will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection and these (deities they worship) are even unaware of their prayers (to them). وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنْ يَدْعُو مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَنْ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ~ُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ عَنْ دُعَائِهِمْ غَافِلُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Ĥushira An-Nāsu Kānū Lahum 'A`dā'an Wa Kānū Bi`ibādatihim Kāfirīna َ046-006 And when the people shall be gathered together (on the Day of Judgment and Justice) these (false gods) will become enemies to them (- their worshippers) and will (even) disown their worship. وَإِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُوا لَهُمْ أَعْدَاء ً وَكَانُوا بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ
Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lilĥaqqi Lammā Jā'ahumdhā Siĥrun Mubīnun َ046-007 When Our clear Messages are recited to them, these disbelievers say with regard to the Truth when it comes to them, `This is an obvious sorcery.´ وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَات ٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ هَذَا سِحْر ٌ مُبِين ٌ
'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu  ۖ  Qul 'Ini Aftaraytuhu Falā Tamlikūna Lī Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan  ۖ  Huwa 'A`lamu Bimā Tufīđūna Fīhi  ۖ  Kafá Bihi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum  ۖ  Wa Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu َ046-008 Do they say, `He himself has forged this (Qur´ân)?´ Say, `If I have forged it, you have no power to help me in anyway against Allâh, He knows what nonsensical talk you are indulging in. Sufficient is He for a witness between me and you. And He is the Great Protector, the Ever Merciful.´ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاه ُُ  ۖ  قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُه ُُ فَلاَ تَمْلِكُونَ لِي مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئاً  ۖ  هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيه ِِ  ۖ  كَفَى بِه ِِ شَهِيدا ً بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ  ۖ  وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Qul Mā Kuntu Bid`āan Mina Ar-Rusuli Wa Mā 'Adrī Mā Yuf`alu Bī Wa Lā Bikum  ۖ  'In 'Attabi`u 'Illā Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayya Wa Mā 'Anā 'Illā Nadhīrun Mubīnun َ046-009 Say, `I am no novel (Apostle) among the Messengers nor do I know what will be done to me (on your behalf) or to you. I simply follow what is revealed to me and I am nought but a plain Warner.´ قُلْ مَا كُنْتُ بِدْعا ً مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُفْعَلُ بِي وَلاَ بِكُمْ  ۖ  إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلاَّ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا إِلاَّ نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In Kāna Min `Indi Al-Lahi Wa Kafartum Bihi Wa Shahida Shāhidun Min Banī 'Isrā'īla `Alá Mithlihi Fa'āmana Wa Astakbartum  ۖ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Až-Žālimīna َ046-010 Say, `Have you considered (that) if this (Qur´ân) is from Allâh and you do not believe in it (there will be no way of escape for you); (more so because) a witness (in the person of Moses) from among the Children of Israel has borne witness to (the advent of) his like. So, whereas he has believed (in those prophecies) but you turn away in disdain, (how should you fare then? Bear in mind) Allâh guides no unjust people (to success). قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَكَفَرْتُمْ بِه ِِ وَشَهِدَ شَاهِد ٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى مِثْلِه ِِ فَآمَنَ وَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ  ۖ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Law Kāna Khayrāan Mā Sabaqūnā 'Ilayhi  ۚ  Wa 'Idh Lam Yahtadū Bihi Fasayaqūlūna Hādhā 'Ifkun Qadīmun َ046-011 And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, `If these (- the Qur´ânic doctrines) were any good they would not have taken precedence over us in believing in it.´ Since they themselves have received no guidance from it they say (out of malice), `It is an old lie.´ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَوْ كَانَ خَيْرا ً مَا سَبَقُونَا إِلَيْهِ  ۚ  وَإِذْ لَمْ يَهْتَدُوا بِه ِِ فَسَيَقُولُونَ هَذَا إِفْك ٌ قَدِيم ٌ
Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan  ۚ  Wa Hadhā Kitābun Muşaddiqun Lisānāan `Arabīyāan Liyundhira Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Wa Bushrá Lilmuĥsinīna َ046-012 Whereas the Scripture of Moses (which was) a guide and a mercy preceded it, this (Qur´ân) is a Book which fulfills (the prophecies contained in the previous Scriptures) making its meanings and significance eloquently clear. (It has been revealed) so that it may warn those who do wrong and give glad tidings to the doers of righteous deeds. وَمِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ كِتَابُ مُوسَى إِمَاما ً وَرَحْمَة ً  ۚ  وَهَذَا كِتَاب ٌ مُصَدِّق ٌ لِسَاناً عَرَبِيّا ً لِيُنْذِرَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Qālū Rabbunā Al-Lahu Thumma Astaqāmū Falā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna َ046-013 Verily, those who say, `Allâh is our Lord,´ then remain steadfast (in their belief) shall have nothing to fear nor shall they grieve. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati Khālidīna Fīhā Jazā'an Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna َ046-014 It is they who are the owners of the Paradise. They shall be abiding therein for ever as a reward for their deeds. أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا جَزَاء ً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa Waşşaynā Al-'Insāna Biwālidayhi 'Iĥsānāan  ۖ  Ĥamalat/hu 'Ummuhu Kurhāan Wa Wađa`at/hu Kurhāan  ۖ  Wa Ĥamluhu Wa Fişāluhu Thalāthūna Shahrāan  ۚ  Ĥattá 'Idhā Balagha 'Ashuddahu Wa Balagha 'Arba`īna Sanatan Qāla Rabbi 'Awzi`nī 'An 'Ashkura Ni`mataka Allatī 'An`amta `Alayya Wa `Alá Wa A-Dayya Wa 'An 'A`mala Şāliĥāan Tarđāhu Wa 'Aşliĥ Lī Fī Dhurrīyatī  ۖ  'Innī Tubtu 'Ilayka Wa 'Innī Mina Al-Muslimīna َ046-015 And We have enjoined on a human being to do good to his parents. His mother bears him with trouble and pain and brings him forth with trouble and pain. The bearing of him and his weaning (takes) thirty months, till when he attains his full maturity and reaches (the age of) forty years he says to his Lord, `My Lord! rouse me up that I may give thanks for the favours you have bestowed on me and on my parents and that I may do such righteous deeds as may please You. And (my Lord!) establish righteousness among my progeny for me. To You indeed I turn penitently and I am surely of those who submit themselves (to You).´ وَوَصَّيْنَا الإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ إِحْسَاناً  ۖ  حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّه ُُ كُرْها ً وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْها ً  ۖ  وَحَمْلُه ُُ وَفِصَالُه ُُ ثَلاَثُونَ شَهْراً  ۚ  حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّه ُُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَة ً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحا ً تَرْضَاه ُُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي  ۖ  إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Nataqabbalu `Anhum 'Aĥsana Mā `Amilū Wa Natajāwazu `An Sayyi'ātihim Fī 'Aşĥābi Al-Jannati  ۖ  Wa`da Aş-Şidqi Al-Ladhī Kānū Yū`adūna َ046-016 Such are the people the best of whose deeds We accept and reward, and whose evil deeds We pass over. (They shall be) among the owners of Paradise, (in fulfillment of) the true promise which was made to them. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنْهُمْ أَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَنَتَجاوَزُ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ فِي أَصْحَابِ الْجَنَّةِ  ۖ  وَعْدَ الصِّدْقِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhī Qāla Liwālidayhi 'Uffin Lakumā 'Ata`idāninī 'An 'Ukhraja Wa Qad Khalati Al-Qurūnu Min Qablī Wa Humā Yastaghīthāni Al-Laha Waylaka 'Āmin 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Fayaqūlu Mā Hādhā 'Illā 'Asāţīru Al-'Awwalīna َ046-017 Yet there is another (hard-hearted) one who says to his parents, `Fie upon you both! Do you threaten me that I shall be resurrected (to live again after death), when so many generations have already passed away before me (without any one of them having been raised to life).´ While both (- the believing parents) ask Allâh´s help (and say to their child), `Alas for you. Have faith, surely the promise of Allâh is true.´ But he says, `This is nothing but mere fables of the ancients.´ وَالَّذِي قَالَ لِوَالِدَيْهِ أُفّ ٍ لَكُمَا أَتَعِدَانِنِي أَنْ أُخْرَجَ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ الْقُرُونُ مِنْ قَبْلِي وَهُمَا يَسْتَغِيثَانِ اللَّهَ وَيْلَكَ آمِنْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَذَا إِلاَّ أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqa `Alayhimu Al-Qawlu Fī 'Umamin Qad Khalat Min Qablihim Mina Al-Jinni Wa Al-'Insi  ۖ  'Innahum Kānū Khāsirīna َ046-018 Such are the people against whom the sentence of punishment becomes due along with the communities of the jinn (- houghty) and (ordinary) people that preceded them. Of course, they were the losers. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ فِي أُمَم ٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ  ۖ  إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَاسِرِينَ
Wa Likullin Darajātun Mimmā `Amilū  ۖ  Wa Liyuwaffiyahum 'A`mālahum Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna َ046-019 And all shall have positions and grades (with their Lord) according to the worth of their deeds; and (it shall be so) that He may repay them fully for their deeds and that they may not be treated unjustly. وَلِكُلّ ٍ دَرَجَات ٌ مِمَّا عَمِلُوا  ۖ  وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ
Wa Yawma Yu`rađu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Alá An-Nāri 'Adh/habtum Ţayyibātikum Fī Ĥayātikumu Ad-Dunyā Wa Astamta`tum Bihā Fālyawma Tujzawna `Adhāba Al-Hūni Bimā Kuntum Tastakbirūna Fī Al-'Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Wa Bimā Kuntum Tafsuqūna َ046-020 And on that day those who disbelieve will be exposed to the (Hell) Fire. (It will be said to them,) `You consumed your good things during your life of the world and you enjoyed them. So this day you shall be recompensed with disgraceful punishment, because you waxed proud on the earth without justification and because you committed transgression.´ وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِ أَذْهَبْتُمْ طَيِّبَاتِكُمْ فِي حَيَاتِكُمُ الدُّنْيَا وَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِهَا فَالْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَفْسُقُونَ
Wa Adhkur 'Akhā `Ādin 'Idh 'Andhara Qawmahu Bil-'Aĥqāfi Wa Qad Khalati An-Nudhuru Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin َ046-021 And make mention of the kinsman of `âd (- Hûd, a Messenger of God to them), when he warned his people (living) in wind-curved sand-dunes (in Hadzramût, south of Arabia) to whom Warners had already come before him and after him (saying), `Worship none but Allâh. I, indeed, fear lest the agony of a dreadful day should befall you.´ وَاذْكُرْ أَخَا عَاد ٍ إِذْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَه ُُ بِالأَحْقَافِ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ النُّذُرُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ~ِ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُوا إِلاَّ اللَّهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيم ٍ
Qālū 'Aji'tanā Lita'fikanā `An 'Ālihatinā Fa'tinā Bimā Ta`idunā 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna َ046-022 They said, `Have you come to us to seduce us and turn us away from our gods. Bring down on us (the punishment) you threaten us with, if indeed you are of the truthful.´ قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qāla 'Innamā Al-`Ilmu `Inda Al-Lahi Wa 'Uballighukum Mā 'Ursiltu Bihi Wa Lakinnī 'Arākum Qawmāan Tajhalūna َ046-023 He said, `Allâh alone has the true knowledge (of the time of the punishment). I am only conveying to you that (Message) I have been sent with. But I see that you are a people behaving obstinately (for no reason).´ قَالَ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأُبَلِّغُكُمْ مَا أُرْسِلْتُ بِه ِِ وَلَكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْما ً تَجْهَلُونَ
Falammā Ra'awhu `Āriđāan Mustaqbila 'Awdiyatihim Qālū Hādhā `Āriđun Mumţirunā  ۚ  Bal Huwa Mā Asta`jaltum Bihi  ۖ  Rīĥun Fīhā `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ046-024 Then, when they saw this (punishment they were threatened with) in the form of a cloud (spreading in the sky) heading towards their valleys, they said, `This is a cloud which will rain over us.´ (They were told,) `It is no such thing, rather it is that (punishment) which you sought to hasten. (It is) a hurricane carrying a woeful punishment. فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ عَارِضا ً مُسْتَقْبِلَ أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ قَالُوا هَذَا عَارِض ٌ مُمْطِرُنَا  ۚ  بَلْ هُوَ مَا اسْتَعْجَلْتُمْ بِه ِِ  ۖ  رِيح ٌ فِيهَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
Tudammiru Kulla Shay'in Bi'amri Rabbihā Fa'aşbaĥū Lā Yurá 'Illā Masākinuhum  ۚ  Kadhālika Naj Al-Qawma Al-Mujrimīna َ046-025 `This (hurricane) will go on destroying everything by the command of its Lord.´ Accordingly (the hurricane struck them and) they became such that nothing could be seen (of them) except their dwellings. That is how do We recompense the guilty people. تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْء ٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لاَ يُرَى إِلاَّ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
Wa Laqad Makkannāhum Fīmā 'In Makkannākum Fīhi Wa Ja`alnā Lahum Sam`āan Wa 'Abşārāan Wa 'Af'idatan Famā 'Aghná `Anhum Sam`uhum Wa Lā 'Abşāruhum Wa Lā 'Af'idatuhum Min Shay'in 'Idh Kānū Yajĥadūna Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn َ046-026 (Makkans!) We had given them power to do such things as We have not given you. We gave them hearing, eyes and hearts. But their hearing, their eyes and their hearts availed them not, since they persistently denied the signs of Allâh. And they were caught by that (punishment) which they held in very low estimation. وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِيمَا إِنْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِيه ِِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ سَمْعا ً وَأَبْصَارا ً وَأَفْئِدَة ً فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَلاَ أَبْصَارُهُمْ وَلاَ أَفْئِدَتُهُمْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ إِذْ كَانُوا يَجْحَدُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون
Wa Laqad 'Ahlaknā Mā Ĥawlakum Mina Al-Qurá Wa Şarrafnā Al-'Āyāti La`allahum Yarji`ūna َ046-027 And We have destroyed several of the townships (which were situated) around you. We have repeatedly explained the Messages in diverse ways so that the people might turn (to Us giving up their atrocity). وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا مَا حَوْلَكُمْ مِنَ الْقُرَى وَصَرَّفْنَا الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Falawlā Naşarahumu Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi Qurbānāan 'Ālihatan  ۖ  Bal Đallū `Anhum  ۚ  Wa Dhalika 'Ifkuhum Wa Mā Kānū Yaftarūna َ046-028 Why then, did not those beings whom they had taken up for gods apart from Allâh to bring (them) close (to Him) help them? Instead (of being any help to them) they were lost to them. Such was (the outcome of) their lie and (of) what they fabricated (that their gods were a means to bring them close to God). فَلَوْلاَ نَصَرَهُمُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ قُرْبَانا ً آلِهَة ً  ۖ  بَلْ ضَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ  ۚ  وَذَلِكَ إِفْكُهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa 'Idh Şarafnā 'Ilayka Nafarāan Mina Al-Jinni Yastami`ūna Al-Qur'āna Falammā Ĥađarūhu Qālū 'Anşitū  ۖ  Falammā Quđiya Wa Llaw 'Ilá Qawmihim Mundhirīna َ046-029 And (Prophet! recall the time) when We brought some people from among the jinns to you. They wished to listen to the Qur´ân. When they attended it (- its recitation) they said (one to another), `Be silent (and listen).´ When this (recitation) was over they went back to their people as warners. وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَا إِلَيْكَ نَفَرا ً مِنَ الْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوه ُُ قَالُوا أَنْصِتُوا  ۖ  فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوْا إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ مُنْذِرِينَ
Qālū Yā Qawmanā 'Innā Sami`nā Kitābāan 'Unzila Min Ba`di Mūsá Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Yahdī 'Ilá Al-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ilá Ţarīqin Mustaqīmin َ046-030 They (having gone there) said, `O our people! we have listened to a Book which has been revealed after (the time of) Moses confirming that (divine Scripture) which is before it. It guides to the truth and to the right and straight path. قَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَاباً أُنْزِلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مُوسَى مُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ وَإِلَى طَرِيق ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ
Yā Qawmanā 'Ajībū Dā`iya Al-Lahi Wa 'Āminū Bihi Yaghfir Lakum Min Dhunūbikum Wa Yujirkum Min `Adhābin 'Alīmin َ046-031 `O our people! accept the call of one calling to Allâh and believe in Him. (If you do so) He will keep you safe from (the woeful consequences of) your sins and will screen you from the woeful punishment. يَا قَوْمَنَا أَجِيبُوا دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ وَآمِنُوا بِه ِِ يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُجِرْكُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ
Wa Man Lā Yujib Dā`iya Al-Lahi Falaysa Bimu`jizin Al-'Arđi Wa Laysa Lahu Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'u  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Fī Đalālin Mubīnin َ046-032 `But one who does not accept (the call of) one calling to Allâh, cannot be the frustrator (of God´s purpose) in the earth (and will not escape His punishment), nor can he have protecting friends apart from Him. Such people are steeped in clear error´. وَمَنْ لاَ يُجِبْ دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُعْجِز ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلَيْسَ لَه ُُ مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ أَولِيَاءُ  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ
'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Al-Laha Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Lam Ya`ya Bikhalqihinna Biqādirin `Alá 'An Yuĥyiya Al-Mawtá  ۚ  Balá 'Innahu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ046-033 Have they not considered that Allâh Who has created the heavens and the earth and was not wearied by their creation, is (in every way) Possessor of power to give life to the dead? Yes, verily He is Possessor of prudential power to do every desired thing. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلَمْ يَعْيَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى  ۚ  بَلَى إِنَّه ُُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Wa Yawma Yu`rađu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Alá An-Nāri 'Alaysa Hādhā Bil-Ĥaqqi  ۖ  Qālū Balá Wa Rabbinā  ۚ  Qāla Fadhūqū Al-`Adhāba Bimā Kuntum Takfurūna َ046-034 And the day those who disbelieve will be exposed to the Fire, (they will be asked,) `Has this (punishment) not actually come to pass?´ They will say, `Yes, it has, by our Lord.´ He will then say, `(Now) suffer the punishment because of your disbelief.´ وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَقِّ  ۖ  قَالُوا بَلَى وَرَبِّنَا  ۚ  قَالَ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Fāşbir Kamā Şabara 'Ū Al-`Azmi Mina Ar-Rusuli Wa Lā Tasta`jil Lahum  ۚ  Ka'annahum Yawma Yarawna Mā Yū`adūna Lam Yalbathū 'Illā Sā`atan Min Nahārin  ۚ  Balāghun  ۚ  Fahal Yuhlaku 'Illā Al-Qawmu Al-Fāsiqūna َ046-035 Patiently persevere then (O Prophet!) as did all the Messengers possessed of high-resolve did, and do not seek to hasten on for them (- the disbelievers, the doom which they are being promised). On the day when they will witness that they have been threatened with (they will feel) as if they have not tarried (in this world) but for an hour of a day. (It is) enough as delivery (of fair-warning from God). Who shall be destroyed now, if not the disobedient sinful people? فَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلاَ تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَهُمْ  ۚ  كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلاَّ سَاعَة ً مِنْ نَهَار ٍ  ۚ  بَلاَغ ٌ  ۚ  فَهَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ
Next Sūrah
