| Ĥā-Mīm | َ045-001 Hâ Mîm. | حَا-مِيم |
| Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi | َ045-002 The gradual revelation of this perfect Book proceeds from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. | تَنزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| 'Inna Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi La'āyātin Lilmu'uminīna | َ045-003 The fact is that there are signs for believers in the heavens and in the earth, | إِنَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَات ٍ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Fī Khalqikum Wa Mā Yabuththu Min Dābbatin 'Āyātun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | َ045-004 And for the people who have firm faith, there are signs in your own creation and (in) that of all (living) creatures which He spreads abroad. | وَفِي خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِنْ دَابَّة ٍ آيَات ٌ لِقَوْم ٍ يُوقِنُونَ |
| Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Mā 'Anzala Al-Lahu Mina As-Samā'i Min Rizqin Fa'aĥyā Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā Wa Taşrīfi Ar-Riyāĥi 'Āyātun Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | َ045-005 And in the alternation of night and day and the sustenance that Allâh sends down through clouds, whereby He revives the earth after its desolation, and (in) the veering of the winds, there are signs for a people who make use of their understanding. | وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ رِزْق ٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ آيَات ٌ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Lahi Natlūhā `Alayka Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Fabi'ayyi Ĥadīthin Ba`da Al-Lahi Wa 'Āyātihi Yu'uminūna | َ045-006 These are the signs of Allâh which We describe to you with precision. In what other announcement will they believe after (they have rejected the word of) Allâh and His signs? | تِلْكَ آيَاتُ اللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيث ٍ بَعْدَ اللَّهِ وَآيَاتِه ِِ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Waylun Likulli 'Affākin 'Athīmin | َ045-007 Woeful agony awaits every sinful habitual liar, | وَيْل ٌ لِكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيم ٍ |
| Yasma`u 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Tutlá `Alayhi Thumma Yuşirru Mustakbirāan Ka'an Lam Yasma`hā ۖ Fabashshirhu Bi`adhābin 'Alīmin | َ045-008 Who hears the Messages of Allâh which are recited to him and then he very proudly persists (in his disbelief) as though he has not heard these (Messages). So give him the tidings of a woeful punishment. | يَسْمَعُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرا ً كَأَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيم ٍ |
| Wa 'Idhā `Alima Min 'Āyātinā Shay'āan Attakhadhahā Huzūan ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun | َ045-009 And when he comes to know something of Our messages he holds them as of little importance. It is such people for whom there awaits a disgraceful punishment. | وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا شَيْئا ً اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُواً ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ مُهِين ٌ |
| Min Warā'ihim Jahannamu ۖ Wa Lā Yughnī `Anhum Mā Kasabū Shay'āan Wa Lā Mā Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'Awliyā'a ۖ Wa Lahum `Adhābun `Ažīmun | َ045-010 (In addition to this worldly punishment) they have Gehenna before them. The wealth they have acquired shall not avail them, nor shall these (guardians of theirs) whom they have taken for (their) helping friends apart from Allâh (be of any help to them). And there awaits them a dreadful punishment. | مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَلاَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ مَا كَسَبُوا شَيْئا ً وَلاَ مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيم ٌ |
| Hādhā Hudáan Wa ۖ Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Lahum `Adhābun Min Rijzin 'Alīmun | َ045-011 This (Qur´ân) is (true and) a complete guidance. But those who deny the commandment of their Lord shall suffer the scourge of a woeful punishment. | هَذَا هُدى ً ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ مِنْ رِجْزٍ أَلِيم ٌ |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Baĥra Litajriya Al-Fulku Fīhi Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna | َ045-012 It is Allâh Who has made the sea subservient to you so that the ships may sail upon it by His command and so that by means of these ships you may seek His bounty and give (Him) thanks. | اللَّهُ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ فِيه ِِ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Wa Sakhkhara Lakum Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Minhu ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | َ045-013 And He has made subservient to you all that lies in the heavens and all that lies in the earth. All these (benedictions) are from Him. In all this there are signs for a people who would reflect. | وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Qul Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Yaghfirū Lilladhīna Lā Yarjūna 'Ayyāma Al-Lahi Liyajziya Qawmāan Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna | َ045-014 Tell those who believe to let alone those who do not accept the (contesting) days of Allâh on which the righteous will be successful in the land and the wicked will suffer disaster in order that He may Himself recompense every people according to their deeds. | قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَغْفِرُوا لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ اللَّهِ لِيَجْزِيَ قَوْما ً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Falinafsihi ۖ Wa Man 'Asā'a Fa`alayhā ۖ Thumma 'Ilá Rabbikum Turja`ūna | َ045-015 He who does good, does it for (the good of) his own soul and he who does evil (the sad consequences of it) shall befall him, (for, after all) you will be brought back to your Lord. | مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَلِنَفْسِه ِِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Banī 'Isrā'īla Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Al-`Ālamīna | َ045-016 And indeed We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture (of mosaic law) and power of judgment and prophethood, and provided them with good and pure things and exalted them over the contemporary peoples. | وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa 'Ātaynāhum Bayyinātin Mina Al-'Amri ۖ Famā Akhtalafū 'Illā Min Ba`di Mā Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu Baghyāan Baynahum ۚ 'Inna Rabbaka Yaqđī Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | َ045-017 And We gave them clear signs regarding this affair (of the advent of this Prophet). And they did not differ (about it) but after true knowledge (in the form of the Qur´ân) had come to them, (and this difference was) to spite one another. Behold! your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning all their differences. | وَآتَيْنَاهُمْ بَيِّنَات ٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ ۖ فَمَا اخْتَلَفُوا إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيا ً بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِي بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Thumma Ja`alnāka `Alá Sharī`atin Mina Al-'Amri Fa Attabi`hā Wa Lā Tattabi` 'Ahwā'a Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna | َ045-018 Then We (gave you a system of law and) set you on a clear highway regarding this affair. Follow it and do not follow the caprices of those who have no knowledge. | ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَى شَرِيعَة ٍ مِنَ الأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Innahum Lan Yughnū `Anka Mina Al-Lahi Shay'āan ۚ Wa 'Inna Až-Žālimīna Ba`đuhum 'Awliyā'u Ba`đin Wa ۖ Allāhu Wa Līyu Al-Muttaqīna | َ045-019 Verily, they can be of no avail to you against (the displeasure of) Allâh. Surely, the wrongdoers are helping-friends one of the other, but Allâh is the helping-friend of those who have become secure against evil. | إِنَّهُمْ لَنْ يُغْنُوا عَنكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئا ً ۚ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْض ٍ ۖ وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ |
| Hādhā Başā'iru Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatun Liqawmin Yūqinūna | َ045-020 Those (teachings of the Qur´ân) are a means to grant insight to mankind and a source of complete guidance and a mercy for a people who have firm faith. | هَذَا بَصَائِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدى ً وَرَحْمَة ٌ لِقَوْم ٍ يُوقِنُونَ |
| 'Am Ĥasiba Al-Ladhīna Ajtaraĥū As-Sayyi'āti 'An Naj`alahum Kālladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Sawā'an Maĥyāhum Wa Mamātuhum ۚ Sā'a Mā Yaĥkumūna | َ045-021 Do those who commit evil deeds think that We will treat them like those who believe and (accordingly) do deeds of righteousness so that their lives and deaths be alike? How ill they judge! | أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ نَجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَوَاء ً مَحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ |
| Wa Khalaqa Al-Lahu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Litujzá Kullu Nafsin Bimā Kasabat Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | َ045-022 Allâh has created the heavens and the earth with an eternal purpose to ensure that every soul be recompensed according to his deeds and no one be done injustice to. | وَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَى كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| 'Afara'ayta Mani Attakhadha 'Ilahahu Hawāhu Wa 'Ađallahu Al-Lahu `Alá `Ilmin Wa Khatama `Alá Sam`ihi Wa Qalbihi Wa Ja`ala `Alá Başarihi Ghishāwatan Faman Yahdīhi Min Ba`di Al-Lahi ۚ 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna | َ045-023 Have you considered the case of him who has taken his own low desires for his god and whom Allâh has forsaken and adjudged as lost on the basis of (His infinite) knowledge, and whose ears and heart He has sealed and whose eyes He has covered with a veil? Who then will guide him after Allâh (has condemned him for his being given to evil ways)? Will you then pay no heed? | أَفَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَهَه ُُ هَوَاه ُُ وَأَضَلَّهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى عِلْم ٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَى سَمْعِه ِِ وَقَلْبِه ِِ وَجَعَلَ عَلَى بَصَرِه ِِ غِشَاوَة ً فَمَنْ يَهْدِيه ِِ مِنْ بَعْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ أَفَلاَ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Wa Qālū Mā Hiya 'Illā Ĥayātunā Ad-Dunyā Namūtu Wa Naĥyā Wa Mā Yuhlikunā 'Illā Ad-Dahru ۚ Wa Mā Lahum Bidhālika Min `Ilmin ۖ 'In Hum 'Illā Yažunnūna | َ045-024 They say, `We have only this our present life (to live). We (people of one generation) die and we (people of a new generation from among us) come to life again (here in this very world). It is (the passage of) time alone that deals us death. But they have no real knowledge whatsoever about the matter (- the Hereafter). They merely make conjectures. | وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلاَّ حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلاَّ الدَّهْرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْم ٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَظُنُّونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Mā Kāna Ĥujjatahum 'Illā 'An Qālū A'tū Bi'ābā'inā 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | َ045-025 And when Our clear messages are recited to them their only contention is that they say, `Bring back our forefathers (alive) if you are true (in your belief in the life after death).´ | وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَات ٍ مَا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Quli Al-Lahu Yuĥyīkum Thumma Yumītukum Thumma Yajma`ukum 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati Lā Rayba Fīhi Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna | َ045-026 Say, `(It is) Allâh alone Who gives you life then He causes you to die, then He will gather you together on the Day of Resurrection, (the day) about the advent of which there is no doubt. Yet most of the people do not know (this truth).´ | قُلِ اللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Lillahi Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۚ Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yawma'idhin Yakhsaru Al-Mubţilūna | َ045-027 The kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allâh. At the time when the (promised) Hour shall come to pass the falsifiers (of the truth with vanity) shall be in the loss on that day. | وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَخْسَرُ الْمُبْطِلُونَ |
| Wa Tará Kulla 'Ummatin Jāthiyatan ۚ Kullu 'Ummatin Tud`á 'Ilá Kitābihā Al-Yawma Tujzawna Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | َ045-028 And (at that promised time) you shall see every community fallen on (their) knees. Every community will be summoned to (face) their records (of deeds). (And it shall be said to them,) `This day you shall be recompensed according to your deeds. | وَتَرَى كُلَّ أُمَّة ٍ جَاثِيَة ً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّة ٍ تُدْعَى إِلَى كِتَابِهَا الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Hādhā Kitābunā Yanţiqu `Alaykum Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ 'Innā Kunnā Nastansikhu Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna | َ045-029 `Here is Our (prepared) record. It speaks the truth about you. Indeed, We have been getting all your deeds fully registered and preserved.´ | هَذَا كِتَابُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fayudkhiluhum Rabbuhum Fī Raĥmatihi ۚ Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-Mubīnu | َ045-030 Now as for those who believed and did deeds of righteousness, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. This indeed is a manifest achievement. | فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِه ِِ ۚ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Afalam Takun 'Āyātī Tutlá `Alaykum Fāstakbartum Wa Kuntum Qawmāan Mujrimīna | َ045-031 But as for those who disbelieved (God will say,) `Is it not that My Messages were recited to you yet you behaved arrogantly and you became those who cut off their ties (with us)? | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْما ً مُجْرِمِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Qīla 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa As-Sā`atu Lā Rayba Fīhā Qultum Mā Nadrī Mā As-Sā`atu 'In Nažunnu 'Illā Žannāan Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimustayqinīna | َ045-032 `And when it was said (to you), "The promise of Allâh is of course true and the Hour (of Resurrection) there is no doubt about it," you said, "We do not know what the Hour may be, we have only a faint notion about it and we are, by no means, convinced (of its certainty)".´ | وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ وَالسَّاعَةُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُمْ مَا نَدْرِي مَا السَّاعَةُ إِنْ نَظُنُّ إِلاَّ ظَنّا ً وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ |
| Wa Badā Lahum Sayyi'ātu Mā `Amilū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn | َ045-033 And (on that day) the evils (inherent) in their deeds will become apparent to them. They will be caught by that (very destruction) they used to hold in very low estimation. | وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون |
| Wa Qīla Al-Yawma Nansākum Kamā Nasītum Liqā'a Yawmikum Hādhā Wa Ma'wākumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Nāşirīna | َ045-034 And it will be said (to them), `This Day We have given you up just as you gave up (the idea) that you will meet this Day of yours. Now, your resort is the Fire and you have no one for a helper. | وَقِيلَ الْيَوْمَ نَنسَاكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| Dhālikum Bi'annakum Attakhadhtum 'Āyāti Al-Lahi Huzūan Wa Gharratkumu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā ۚ Fālyawma Lā Yukhrajūna Minhā Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna | َ045-035 `This (end of yours) is because you took no account of the commandments of Allâh, and the life of this world seduced you.´ So that Day they will not be taken out of it nor will they be able to reach even the threshold (of the Divine Presence seeking to make amends and to win His favour). | ذَلِكُمْ بِأَنَّكُمْ اتَّخَذْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوا ً وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ لاَ يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلاَ هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ |
| Falillāhi Al-Ĥamdu Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Rabbi Al-'Arđi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | َ045-036 All type of perfect and true praise, therefore, belongs to Allâh, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth and Lord of the worlds. | فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبِّ الأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa Lahu Al-Kibriyā'u Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۖ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | َ045-037 And all the majesty in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him alone. And He alone is the All-Mighty, the All- Wise. | وَلَهُ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
