38) سُورَة صَاد

Şād Wa Al-Qur'āni Dhī Adh-Dhikri َ038-001 Sâd. And the Qur´ân which exalts (mankind) to eminence bears witness. صَاد وَالْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ
Bali Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī `Izzatin Wa Shiqāqin َ038-002 (There is nothing wrong with the Prophet,) the only thing is that the disbelievers are suffering from a sense of (false) pride and are hostile (to him). بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي عِزَّة ٍ وَشِقَاق ٍ
Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Qablihim Min Qarnin Fanādaw Walāta Ĥīna Manāşin َ038-003 (Do they not see that) We have destroyed so many generations before them? (They did not care to listen to the warning at first) then (later) they cried (for help) but the time for escape had passed. كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْن ٍ فَنَادَوْا وَلاَتَ حِينَ مَنَاص ٍ
Wa `Ajibū 'An Jā'ahum Mundhirun Minhum  ۖ  Wa Qāla Al-Kāfirūna Hādhā Sāĥirun Kadhdhābun َ038-004 They wonder that there should come to them a Warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, `He is a sorcerer, a great liar (in his claim). وَعَجِبُوا أَنْ جَاءَهُمْ مُنْذِر ٌ مِنْهُمْ  ۖ  وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا سَاحِر ٌ كَذَّاب ٌ
'Aja`ala Al-'Ālihata 'Ilahāan Wāĥidāan  ۖ  'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un `Ujābun َ038-005 `Has he turned (the whole lot of) gods (we worshipped) into One God? Very strange indeed is this thing.´ أَجَعَلَ الآلِهَةَ إِلَها ً وَاحِدا ً  ۖ  إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَاب ٌ
Wa Anţalaqa Al-Mala'u Minhum 'Ani Amshū Wa Aşbirū `Alá 'Ālihatikum  ۖ  'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un Yurādu َ038-006 And the leaders among them go about saying, `Go (from here) and adhere constantly to (the worship of) your gods. This (claim of the Qur´ân about the unity of God) is a thing designed (with some purpose behind it). وَانطَلَقَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ امْشُوا وَاصْبِرُوا عَلَى آلِهَتِكُمْ  ۖ  إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْء ٌ يُرَادُ
Mā Sami`nā Bihadhā Fī Al-Millati Al-'Ākhirati 'In Hādhā 'Illā Akhtilāqun َ038-007 `We heard nothing of its kind about any of the previous creeds. This is nothing but a forgery. مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي الْمِلَّةِ الآخِرَةِ إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ اخْتِلاَق ٌ
'A'uunzila `Alayhi Adh-Dhikru Min Bayninā  ۚ  Bal HumShakkin Min Dhikrī  ۖ  Bal Lammā Yadhūqū `Adhābi َ038-008 `Is it that this Reminder (- the Qur´ân) has been revealed only to him (the chosen Warner) in (preference to) all of us?´ The thing is they have doubts about My Reminder (itself). As a matter of fact they have not (yet) suffered (the agony of) My punishment. أَؤُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا  ۚ  بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكّ ٍ مِنْ ذِكْرِي  ۖ  بَلْ لَمَّا يَذُوقُوا عَذَابِ
'Am `Indahum Khazā'inu Raĥmati Rabbika Al-`Azīzi Al-Wahhābi َ038-009 Do they possess the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Great Bestower? أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ الْعَزِيزِ الْوَهَّابِ
'Am Lahum Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā  ۖ  Falyartaqū Fī Al-'Asbābi َ038-010 Or does the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them belong to them? (If so) then let them rise higher with the means (at their disposal and stop the onward march of Islam). أَمْ لَهُمْ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا  ۖ  فَلْيَرْتَقُوا فِي الأَسْبَابِ
Jundun Mā Hunālika Mahzūmun Mina Al-'Aĥzābi َ038-011 (But bear in mind the prophecy:) there will be several hosts of the confederates which shall be completely routed here (at Madînah). جُند ٌ مَا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُوم ٌ مِنَ الأَحْزَابِ
Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Dhū Al-'Awtādi َ038-012 The people of Noah, (the tribe of) `âd and Pharaoh, lord of mighty hosts, treated (their Apostles) before them as liars. كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوح ٍ وَعَاد ٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الأَوْتَادِ
Wa Thamūdu Wa Qawmu Lūţin Wa 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Al-'Aĥzābu َ038-013 So did (the tribe of) Thamûd and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Thicket. These were (all routed) groups of people. وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوط ٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الأَيْكَةِ  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ الأَحْزَابُ
'In Kullun 'Illā Kadhdhaba Ar-Rusula Faĥaqqa `Iqābi َ038-014 Each one had cried lies to the Messengers. So My punishment rightly became due (on them). إِنْ كُلّ ٌ إِلاَّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
Wa Mā Yanžuru Hā'uulā' 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Mā Lahā Min Fawāqin َ038-015 And also for these (people of your time) awaits a sudden punishment which shall know no pause. وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَاؤُلاَء إِلاَّ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً مَا لَهَا مِنْ فَوَاق ٍ
Wa Qālū Rabbanā `Ajjil Lanā Qiţţanā Qabla Yawmi Al-Ĥisābi َ038-016 They say, `Our Lord! hurry up with our portion (of punishment in this very life) before the Day of Reckoning.´ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا عَجِّلْ لَنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
Aşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Adhkur `Abdanā Dāwūda Dhā Al-'Aydi  ۖ  'Innahu 'Awwābun َ038-017 Bear with patience what they say. And remember (the event of the life of) Our servant David, the possessor of might. Verily, he was ever turning (to God). اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الأَيْدِ  ۖ  إِنَّهُ~ُ أَوَّاب ٌ
'Innā Sakhkharnā Al-Jibāla Ma`ahu Yusabbiĥna Bil-`Ashīyi Wa Al-'Ishrāqi َ038-018 Indeed, We made (the people of) the mountains subservient to him (and) they celebrated (Our) praises at nightfall and at sunrise, إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَه ُُ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالإِشْرَاقِ
Wa Aţ-Ţayra  ۖ  Maĥshūratan Kullun Lahu 'Awwābun َ038-019 And (We made) the birds and the people (who were) full of dislike for habitations to flock together (to him). All of them were always turning in obedience (to God) on his account. وَالطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَة ً  ۖ  كُلّ ٌ لَهُ~ُ أَوَّاب ٌ
Wa Shadadnā Mulkahu Wa 'Ātaynāhu Al-Ĥikmata Wa Faşla Al-Khābi َ038-020 And We strengthened his kingdom, and We granted him wisdom and decisive judgment. وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَه ُُ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ
Wa Hal 'Atāka Naba'u Al-Khaşmi 'Idh Tasawwarū Al-Miĥrāba َ038-021 Have you heard the news of the adversaries (of David) who scaled the rampart of the fortress (to take David unawares in his chamber)? وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ نَبَأُ الْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا الْمِحْرَابَ
'Idh Dakhalū `Alá Dāwūda Fafazi`a Minhum  ۖ  Qālū Lā Takhaf  ۖ  Khaşmāni Baghá Ba`đunā `Alá Ba`đin Fāĥkum Baynanā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tushţiţ Wa Ahdinā 'Ilá Sawā'i Aş-Şirāţi َ038-022 When they intruded upon David and (found that) he had become alert (on account of) them, they said, (by way of an excuse,) `Have no fear. We are two parties litigants. One of us has transgressed against the other, therefore judge between us as justice demands, and delay not (by giving the date of decision,) and guide us (in our litigation) to the fair way. إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَى دَاوُودَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ  ۖ  قَالُوا لاَ تَخَفْ  ۖ  خَصْمَانِ بَغَى بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْض ٍ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلاَ تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَا إِلَى سَوَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ
'Inna Hādhā 'Akhī Lahu Tis`un Wa Tis`ūna Na`jatan Wa Liya Na`jatun Wāĥidatun Faqāla 'Akfilnīhā Wa `Azzanī Fī Al-Khābi َ038-023 `(The case of the litigation is that,) this is my brother. He has ninety nine ewes while I have one ewe; still he says, "Make it over to me," and he has been prevailing by his arguments upon me.´ إِنَّ هَذَا أَخِي لَه ُُ تِسْع ٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَة ً وَلِيَ نَعْجَة ٌ وَاحِدَة ٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي الْخِطَابِ
Qāla Laqad Žalamaka Bisu'uāli Na`jatika 'Ilá Ni`ājihi  ۖ  Wa 'Inna Kathīrāan Mina Al-Khulaţā'i Layabghī Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin 'Illā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa Qalīlun Mā Hum  ۗ  Wa Žanna Dāwūdu 'Annamā Fatannāhu Fāstaghfara Rabbahu Wa Kharra Rāki`āan Wa 'Anāba َ038-024 (David) said, `He has certainly been unjust to you in demanding your ewe (to be added) to his own ewes. And surely many partners transgress against one another except those who believe (in God) and do deeds of righteousness. Yet how few are these!´ (While saying this) David realised that We had tried him, therefore he sought protection of his Lord and fell down bowing in worship and turned (to his Lord) in repentance. قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَى نِعَاجِه ِِ  ۖ  وَإِنَّ كَثِيرا ً مِنَ الْخُلَطَاءِ لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَقَلِيل ٌ مَا هُمْ  ۗ  وَظَنَّ دَاوُودُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّاه ُُ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّه ُُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعا ً وَأَنَابَ
Faghafarnā Lahu Dhālika  ۖ  Wa 'Inna Lahu `Indanā Lazulfá Wa Ĥusna Ma'ābin َ038-025 So We gave him that protection (sought for by him from that danger he felt). And verily he enjoyed Our close proximity and an excellent status. فَغَفَرْنَا لَه ُُ ذَلِكَ  ۖ  وَإِنَّ لَه ُُ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفَى وَحُسْنَ مَآب ٍ
Yā Dāwūdu 'Innā Ja`alnāka Khalīfatan Al-'Arđi Fāĥkum Bayna An-Nāsi Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tattabi`i Al-Hawá Fayuđillaka `An Sabīli Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yađillūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Bimā Nasū Yawma Al-Ĥisābi َ038-026 (We said,) `O David! verily We have made you the ruler in this land. So rule among the people according to (the tenants of) justice, and do not follow their vain desires, (for if you do) it will lead you astray from the path leading to Allâh. Behold! a severe punishment awaits those who go astray from Allâh´s way, because they have forgotten the Day of Reckoning. يَادَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَة ً فِي الأَرْضِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَى فَيُضِلَّكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ  ۚ  الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ
Wa Mā Khalaq As-Samā'a Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Bāţilāan  ۚ  Dhālika Žannu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū  ۚ  Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Mina An-Nāri َ038-027 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that lies between them in vain. That is the view of the disbelievers only. Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of (the punishment by means of) the Fire (that awaits them). وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلا ً  ۚ  ذَلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا  ۚ  فَوَيْل ٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنَ النَّارِ
'Am Naj`alu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Kālmufsidīna Fī Al-'Arđi 'Am Naj`alu Al-Muttaqīna Kālfujjāri َ038-028 Are We to treat those who believe and do deeds of righteousness in the same way as the creators of disorder in the land? Or are We to treat those who guard against evil in the same way as the wicked and impious? أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ
Kitābun 'Anzalnāhu 'Ilayka Mubārakun Liyaddabbarū 'Āyātihi Wa Liyatadhakkara 'Ū Al-'Albābi َ038-029 (Behold! this Qur´ân is) a great Book which We have revealed to you; full of excellences, so that these (people) may ponder over its verses and so that those gifted with pure understanding may take heed. كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ~ُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَك ٌ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِه ِِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ
Wa Wahabnā Lidāwūda Sulaymāna  ۚ  Ni`ma Al-`Abdu  ۖ  'Innahu 'Awwābun َ038-030 And We gave (a pious son like) Solomon to David. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was! For he turned to Us in obedience and repentance again and again. وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ  ۚ  نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ  ۖ  إِنَّهُ~ُ أَوَّاب ٌ
'Idh `Uriđa `Alayhi Bil-`Ashīyi Aş-Şāfinātu Al-Jiyādu َ038-031 (Think of the time) when towards the close of the day, steeds of the noblest breed and swift of foot were brought before him. إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ الصَّافِنَاتُ الْجِيَادُ
Faqāla 'Innī 'Aĥbabtu Ĥubba Al-Khayri `An Dhikri Rabbī Ĥattá Tawārat Bil-Ĥijābi َ038-032 He said, `I prefer the love of good things because they make (me) remember (God), my Lord.´ And (he remained busy in his devotion and prayer), when these (horses) disappeared (while passing by) behind the veil (of distance), فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّي حَتَّى تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ
Ruddūhā `Alayya  ۖ  Faţafiqa Masĥāan Bis-Sūqi Wa Al-'A`nāqi َ038-033 (He said,) `Bring them back to me.´ Then (as they were brought) he began to stroke their hind legs and necks (with kindness). رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّ  ۖ  فَطَفِقَ مَسْحا ً بِالسُّوقِ وَالأَعْنَاقِ
Wa Laqad Fatannā Sulaymāna Wa 'Alqaynā `Alá Kursīyihi Jasadāan Thumma 'Anāba َ038-034 Behold! We tried Solomon (too) and We placed on his throne (of kingdom) a (mere) body (without any spirit or faith). Then he turned (to God seeking His mercy). وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَى كُرْسِيِّه ِِ جَسَدا ً ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
Qāla Rabbi Aghfir Lī Wa Hab Lī Mulkāan Lā Yanbaghī Li'ĥadin Min Ba`dī  ۖ  'Innaka 'Anta Al-Wahhābu َ038-035 He said (praying), `My Lord! grant me protection and bestow on me a kingdom that belongs to none (by inheritance) after me. You indeed are the Great Bestower.´ قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكا ً لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِأحَد ٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي  ۖ  إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ
Fasakhkharnā Lahu Ar-Rīĥa Tajrī Bi'amrihi Rukhā'an Ĥaythu 'Aşāba َ038-036 So (We accepted his prayer and) We subjected to him a gentle wind. It blew gently according to his requirements in the direction he desired to go. فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِه ِِ رُخَاءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ
Wa Ash-Shayāţīna Kulla Bannā'in Wa Ghawwāşin َ038-037 And (We also subjugated to him) the rebellious people (- the unruly Amâliqah people of far off lands), all (their) builders and divers; وَالشَّيَاطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّاء ٍ وَغَوَّاص ٍ
Wa 'Ākharīna Muqarranīna Fī Al-'Aşfādi َ038-038 And others (among them, who were) bound in chains. وَآخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الأَصْفَادِ
dhā `Aţā'uunā Fāmnun 'Aw 'Amsik Bighayri Ĥisābin َ038-039 (We said to him,) `This is Our gift that knows no measure. So give it freely or withhold it (from whomsoever you deem fit) without reckoning. هَذَا عَطَاؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ
Wa 'Inna Lahu `Indanā Lazulfá Wa Ĥusna Ma'ābin َ038-040 Behold! there is for him (- Solomon) Our close proximity and an excellent resort. وَإِنَّ لَه ُُ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفَى وَحُسْنَ مَآب ٍ
Wa Adhkur `Abdanā 'Ayyūba 'Idh Nādá Rabbahu 'Annī Massanī Ash-Shayţānu Binuşbin Wa `Adhābin َ038-041 And recall Our servant Job when he called to his Lord (saying), `The devil (of the desert - thirst) has afflicted me with weariness and torment.´ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ~ُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِي الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْب ٍ وَعَذَاب ٍ
Arkuđ Birijlika  ۖ  Hādhā Mughtasalunridun Wa Sharābun َ038-042 (We directed him,) `Urge (your riding beast) with your foot (and depart swiftly). There lies (yonder) a cool bathing place and a (refreshing) drink.´ ارْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ  ۖ  هَذَا مُغْتَسَل ٌ بَارِد ٌ وَشَرَاب ٌ
Wa Wahabnā Lahu 'Ahlahu Wa Mithlahum Ma`ahum Raĥmatan Minnā Wa Dhikrá Li'wlī Al-'Albābi َ038-043 (Not only that rather) We gave him his own family (and the followers he had before) and as many more with them (in the form of new adherents) by way of mercy from Ourselves (the lesson thus taught will serve) as a means to attain eminence for those gifted with pure and clear understanding. وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ~ُ أَهْلَه ُُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَة ً مِنَّا وَذِكْرَى لِأوْلِي الأَلْبَابِ
Wa Khudh Biyadika Đighthāan Fāđrib Bihi Wa Lā Taĥnath  ۗ  'Innā Wa Jadnāhu Şābirāan  ۚ  Ni`ma Al-`Abdu  ۖ  'Innahu 'Awwābun َ038-044 And (We commanded him,) `Take in your hand a handful of twigs and strike (the riding beast) therewith. And do not ever incline towards falsehood. Indeed, We found him steadfast. An excellent servant was he. He was always turning (towards God) in obedience. وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثا ً فَاضْرِبْ بِه ِِ وَلاَ تَحْنَثْ  ۗ  إِنَّا وَجَدْنَاه ُُ صَابِرا ً  ۚ  نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ  ۖ  إِنَّهُ~ُ أَوَّاب ٌ
Wa Adhkur `Ibādanā 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba 'Ū Al-'Aydī Wa Al-'Abşāri َ038-045 Recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (all) endowed with power for action, and insight. وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُوْلِي الأَيْدِي وَالأَبْصَارِ
'Innā 'Akhlaşnāhum Bikhālişatin Dhikrá Ad-Dāri َ038-046 We had indeed chosen them for one special purpose; for reminding (people) of the abode (of the Hereafter). إِنَّا أَخْلَصْنَاهُمْ بِخَالِصَة ٍ ذِكْرَى الدَّارِ
Wa 'Innahum `Indanā Lamina Al-Muşţafayna Al-'Akhyāri َ038-047 And of course they are in Our sight among the elect and the select. وَإِنَّهُمْ عِنْدَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ الأَخْيَارِ
Wa Adhkur 'Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Dhā Al-Kifli  ۖ  Wa Kullun Mina Al-'Akhyāri َ038-048 And recall Ismâîl, Elisha and Dhul Kifl (- Ezekiel); they were all of (Our) chosen ones. وَاذْكُرْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ  ۖ  وَكُلّ ٌ مِنَ الأَخْيَارِ
dhā Dhikrun  ۚ  Wa 'Inna Lilmuttaqīna Laĥusna Ma'ābin َ038-049 This (narrative) is the way to eminence. Behold! there awaits the righteous a beautiful and excellent resort; هَذَا ذِكْر ٌ  ۚ  وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآب ٍ
Jannāti `Adnin Mufattaĥatan Lahumu Al-'Abwābu َ038-050 Gardens of Eternity with their gates thrown open to receive them. جَنَّاتِ عَدْن ٍ مُفَتَّحَة ً لَهُمُ الأَبْوَابُ
Muttaki'īna Fīhā Yad`ūna Fīhā Bifākihatin Kathīratin Wa Sharābin َ038-051 There they will be reclining (comfortably) on couches and there they will order (at pleasure) for many (sorts of) fruits and drinks. مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَاكِهَة ٍ كَثِيرَة ٍ وَشَرَاب ٍ
Wa `Indahum Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi 'Atrābun َ038-052 And they will have by their sides chaste mates with downcast and restrained looks, and of suitable age (and matching in every aspect). وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ أَتْرَاب ٌ
dhā Mā Tū`adūna Liyawmi Al-Ĥisābi َ038-053 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning. هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
'Inna Hādhā Larizqunā Mā Lahu Min Nafādin َ038-054 Verily, this is Our provision which knows no end. إِنَّ هَذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَه ُُ مِنْ نَفَاد ٍ
dhā  ۚ  Wa 'Inna Lilţţāghīna Lasharra Ma'ābin َ038-055 This is (the reward for the righteous only). As for the rebellious, surely evil is their end, هَذَا  ۚ  وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآب ٍ
Jahannama Yaşlawnahā Fabi'sa Al-Mihādu َ038-056 Gehenna, wherein they will enter. And (it shall be) an evil cradling (for nursing them to spiritual growth). جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
dhā Falyadhūqūhu Ĥamīmun Wa Ghassāqun َ038-057 This is (what the disbelievers will have), so let them suffer from it a burning despair and intensely cold and stinking drink. هَذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوه ُُ حَمِيم ٌ وَغَسَّاق ٌ
Wa 'Ākharu Min Shaklihi 'Azwājun َ038-058 And other various (torments) of similar nature. وَآخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهِ~ِ أَزْوَاج ٌ
dhā Fawjun Muqtaĥimun Ma`akum  ۖ  Lā Marĥabāan Bihim  ۚ  'Innahum Şālū An-Nāri َ038-059 (It will be said to their leaders of mischief,) `This is a whole army (of yours) which is rushing headlong with you (into Hell). There is no welcome for them. They are bound to enter the Fire.´ هَذَا فَوْج ٌ مُقْتَحِم ٌ مَعَكُمْ  ۖ  لاَ مَرْحَبا ً بِهِمْ  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ صَالُوا النَّارِ
Qālū Bal 'Antum Lā Marĥabāan Bikum  ۖ  'Antum Qaddamtumūhu Lanā  ۖ  Fabi'sa Al-Qarāru َ038-060 They (- their followers) will say (to their leaders), `Nay, it is rather you (who deserve Hell)! There is no welcome for you (either). In truth it was you that brought about this (evil punishment) for us (by leading us astray), what an evil resting place it is!´ قَالُوا بَلْ أَنْتُمْ لاَ مَرْحَبا ً بِكُمْ  ۖ  أَنْتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوه ُُ لَنَا  ۖ  فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ
Qālū Rabbanā Man Qaddama Lanā Hādhā Fazid/hu `Adhābāan Đi`fāan An-Nāri َ038-061 They will (then) say, `Our Lord! whoso brought about this (evil end) for us, increase for him more and more agony in the Fire.´ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَنْ قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابا ً ضِعْفا ً فِي النَّارِ
Wa Qālū Mā Lanā Lā Nará Rijālāan Kunnā Na`udduhum Mina Al-'Ashrār َ038-062 And these (inmates of Hell) will say, `What is the matter with us that we do not see (here) the men whom we used to count among the wicked. وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لاَ نَرَى رِجَالا ً كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُمْ مِنَ الأَشْرَار
'Āttakhadhnāhum Sikhrīyāan 'Amghat `Anhumu Al-'Abşāru َ038-063 `Is it because we (unjustly) held them in scorn or (is it) that (our) eyes have missed them?´ أَاتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيّاً أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الأَبْصَارُ
'Inna Dhālika Laĥaqqun Takhāşumu 'Ahli An-Nāri َ038-064 Behold! this is an invariable fact that the inmates of the Fire will be disputing together. إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقّ ٌ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
Qul 'Innamā 'Anā Mundhirun  ۖ  Wa Mā Min 'Ilahin 'Illā Al-Lahu Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru َ038-065 Say, `I am only a Warner. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but Allâh, the One, the Subduer of all. قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُنذِر ٌ  ۖ  وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ~ ٍ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Al-`Azīzu Al-Ghaffāru َ038-066 `The Lord of the heavens, and the earth and all that lies between the two, the All-Mighty, the Great Protector.´ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
Qul Huwa Naba'un `Ažīmun َ038-067 Say, `This (universal call of Islam) is a very important announcement. قُلْ هُوَ نَبَأٌ عَظِيم ٌ
'Antum `Anhu Mu`rūna َ038-068 `Yet you are turning away from this. أَنْتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ
Mā Kāna Liya Min `Ilmin Bil-Mala'i Al-'A`lá 'Idh Yakhtaşimūna َ038-069 `I had no knowledge of the Exalted assembly (comprising of the angels in the upper zones) when they discussed (the matter) among themselves. مَا كَانَ لِيَ مِنْ عِلْم ٍ بِالْمَلَإِ الأَعْلَى إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ
'In Yūĥá 'Ilayya 'Illā 'Annamā 'Anā Nadhīrun Mubīnun َ038-070 `But all that has been revealed to me is that I am a Warner telling the right from the wrong.´ إِنْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ إِلاَّ أَنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ
'Idh Qāla Rabbuka Lilmalā'ikati 'Innī Khāliqun Basharāan Min Ţīnin َ038-071 (Call to mind) when your Lord said to the angels, `I am about to create a human being from clay, إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِق ٌ بَشَرا ً مِنْ طِين ٍ
Fa'idhā Sawwaytuhu Wa Nafakhtu Fīhi Min Rūĥī Faqa`ū Lahu Sājidīna َ038-072 `And when I have fashioned him in perfection and I have inspired into him of My revelation then fall down submitting to him.´ فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُه ُُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيه ِِ مِنْ رُوحِي فَقَعُوا لَه ُُ سَاجِدِينَ
Fasajada Al-Malā'ikatu Kulluhum 'Ajma`ūna َ038-073 So (when He inspired into him His revelation) the angels submitted one and all. فَسَجَدَ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
'Illā 'Iblīsa Astakbara Wa Kāna Mina Al-Kāfirīna َ038-074 But Iblîs did not, he behaved arrogantly for he was of the disbelievers. إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ اسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ
Qāla Yā 'Iblīsu Mā Mana`aka 'An Tasjuda Limā Khalaqtu Biyadayya  ۖ  'Āstakbarta 'Am Kunta Mina Al-`Ālīna َ038-075 (God) said, `O Iblîs! what prevented you from submitting to him whom I have created with My own special powers (bestowing him with the maximum attributes). Is it that you seek to be great or is it that you are (really) of the highly proud ones (above obeying My command)?´ قَالَ يَاإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ أَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ  ۖ  أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ
Qāla 'Anā Khayrun Minhu  ۖ  Khalaqtanī Min Nārin Wa Khalaqtahu Min Ţīnin َ038-076 (Iblîs) said, `I am better than he. You created me from fire while him You created from clay.´ قَالَ أَنَا خَيْر ٌ مِنْهُ  ۖ  خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَار ٍ وَخَلَقْتَه ُُ مِنْ طِين ٍ
Qāla Fākhruj Minhā Fa'innaka Rajīmun َ038-077 (God) said, `Then get out of this (state); you are surely driven away (from My mercy). قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيم ٌ
Wa 'Inna `Alayka La`natī 'Ilá Yawmi Ad-Dīni َ038-078 `And surely upon you shall be My disapproval till the Day of Judgment.´ وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِي إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Qāla Rabbi Fa'anžirnī 'Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna َ038-079 (Iblîs) said, `My Lord! reprieve me till the day when the people are raised to life (spiritually whether here or in the Hereafter).´ قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Qāla Fa'innaka Mina Al-Munžarīna َ038-080 (God) said, `You are of course of the reprieved ones قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
'Ilá Yawmi Al-Waqti Al-Ma`lūmi َ038-081 `Till the Day of which the time is known and fixed.´ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
Qāla Fabi`izzatika La'ughwiyannahum 'Ajma`īna َ038-082 (Iblîs) said, `(I swear) by Your might, I will surely seduce them all, قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
'Illā `Ibādaka Minhumu Al-Mukhlaşīna َ038-083 `Except Your servants from among them, the true and purified ones (who are out of my powers).´ إِلاَّ عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Qāla Fālĥaqqu Wa Al-Ĥaqqa 'Aqūlu َ038-084 (God) said, `Truth has dawned and I speak the truth, قَالَ فَالْحَقُّ وَالْحَقَّ أَقُولُ
La'amla'anna Jahannama Minka Wa Mimman Tabi`aka Minhum 'Ajma`īna َ038-085 `That I will fill Gehenna with the like of you and with all those from among them who follow you.´ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكَ وَمِمَّنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
Qul Mā 'As'alukum `Alayhi Min 'Ajrin Wa Mā 'Anā Mina Al-Mutakallifīna َ038-086 Say (O Prophet!), `I ask no reward from you for it (for preaching the Message of truth, and for warning the people,) nor am I of those who are given to affectation (and are impostors). قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْر ٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ
'In Huwa 'Illā Dhikrun Lil`ālamīna َ038-087 `This (Qur´ân) is nothing but a means to rise to eminence for the peoples, إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْر ٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Wa Lata`lamunna Naba'ahu Ba`da Ĥīnin َ038-088 And you shall surely know (the truth of) the news thereof before long.´ وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَه ُُ بَعْدَ حِين ٍ
