| Tanzīlu Al-Kitābi Mina Al-Lahi Al-`Azīzi Al-Ĥakīmi | َ039-001 The orderly arrangement and authentic compilation of this wonderfully perfect Book is from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. | تَنْزِيلُ الْكِتَابِ مِنَ اللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| 'Innā 'Anzalnā 'Ilayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Fā`budi Al-Laha Mukhlişāan Lahu Ad-Dīna | َ039-002 Surely, it is We Who have revealed the Book to you with the established truth to suit the requirements of truth and wisdom. So worship Allâh, being truly sincere to Him in obedience. | إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ فَاعْبُدِ اللَّهَ مُخْلِصا ً لَهُ الدِّينَ |
| 'Alā Lillahi Ad-Dīnu Al-Khālişu Wa ۚ Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'a Mā Na`buduhum 'Illā Liyuqarribūnā 'Ilá Al-Lahi Zulfá 'Inna Al-Laha Yaĥkumu Baynahum Fī Mā Hum Fīhi Yakhtalifūna ۗ 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yahdī Man Huwa Kādhibun Kaffārun | َ039-003 Beware! sincere and true obedience is due to Allâh alone. Those who choose others as a patron beside Him (say), `We serve them only that they may bring us near to Allâh in station.´ (It is absolutely wrong.) Allâh will judge the differences between these (believers and disbelievers). Indeed, Allâh does not guide him to success who is a liar, highly ungrateful. | أَلاَ لِلَّهِ الدِّينُ الْخَالِصُ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ أَوْلِيَاءَ مَا نَعْبُدُهُمْ إِلاَّ لِيُقَرِّبُونَا إِلَى اللَّهِ زُلْفَى إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي مَا هُمْ فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ كَاذِب ٌ كَفَّار ٌ |
| Law 'Arāda Al-Lahu 'An Yattakhidha Waladāan Lāşţafá Mimmā Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u ۚ Subĥānahu ۖ Huwa Al-Lahu Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru | َ039-004 If Allâh had intended to take to Himself a son He could have chosen from His creation the one He pleased (and would not have left it to you). Holy is He! He is Allâh, the One, the All-Dominant. | لَوْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدا ً لاَصْطَفَى مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ سُبْحَانَه ُُ ۖ هُوَ اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ |
| Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Yukawwiru Al-Layla `Alá An-Nahāri Wa Yukawwiru An-Nahāra `Alá Al-Layli ۖ Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara ۖ Kullun Yajrī Li'jalin Musammáan ۗ 'Alā Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ghaffāru | َ039-005 He created the heavens and the earth to suit the requirements of truth and wisdom. He causes the night to revolve upon the day and causes the day to revolve upon the night and He has pressed the sun and the moon into service; each pursues its course for an appointed term. Behold! He is the All-Mighty, the Great Protector. | خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلّ ٌ يَجْرِي لِأجَل ٍ مُسَمّىً ۗ أَلاَ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ |
| Khalaqakum Min Nafsin Wāĥidatin Thumma Ja`ala Minhā Zawjahā Wa 'Anzala Lakum Mina Al-'An`ām Thamāniyata 'Azwājin ۚ Yakhluqukum Fī Buţūni 'Ummahātikum Khalqāan Min Ba`di Khalqin Fī Žulumātin Thalāthin ۚ Dhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbukum Lahu Al-Mulku ۖ Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa ۖ Fa'anná Tuşrafūna | َ039-006 He created you from a single soul, then from that (same stock that He created a human being) He created his spouse. And He has given you eight (varieties of) cattle in pairs. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, a creation, stage by stage, (making you pass) through three periods of darkness. Such is Allâh your Lord. The sovereignty and power belongs to Him alone. There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. Where are you, then, being turned away? | خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْس ٍ وَاحِدَة ٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَأَنْزَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الأَنعَام ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاج ٍ ۚ يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ خَلْقا ً مِنْ بَعْدِ خَلْق ٍ فِي ظُلُمَات ٍ ثَلاَث ٍ ۚ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ ۖ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ ۖ فَأَنَّى تُصْرَفُونَ |
| 'In Takfurū Fa'inna Al-Laha Ghanīyun `Ankum ۖ Wa Lā Yarđá Li`ibādihi Al-Kufra ۖ Wa 'In Tashkurū Yarđahu Lakum ۗ Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukhrá ۗ Thumma 'Ilá Rabbikum Marji`ukum Fayunabbi'ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna ۚ 'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri | َ039-007 If you show ingratitude, surely, Allâh is Independent of you (He does not require your thanks). Yet He does not approve of His people to be ungrateful. (Indeed it is for your own sake that) He approves of you being grateful. And no soul that bears a burden can bear the burden (of the sins) of another. Behold! to your Lord shall you all return so that He will inform you of all that you have been doing. He knows full well (even) the innermost secrets of the hearts. | إِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْكُمْ ۖ وَلاَ يَرْضَى لِعِبَادِهِ الْكُفْرَ ۖ وَإِنْ تَشْكُرُوا يَرْضَه ُُ لَكُمْ ۗ وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَة ٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى ۗ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ۚ إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
| Wa 'Idhā Massa Al-'Insāna Đurrun Da`ā Rabbahu Munībāan 'Ilayhi Thumma 'Idhā Khawwalahu Ni`matan Minhu Nasiya Mā Kāna Yad`ū 'Ilayhi Min Qablu Wa Ja`ala Lillahi 'Andādāan Liyuđilla `An Sabīlihi ۚ Qul Tamatta` Bikufrika Qalīlāan ۖ 'Innaka Min 'Aşĥābi An-Nāri | َ039-008 And when an affliction befalls a person he prays to his Lord turning (penitently) to Him. But when He confers a favour upon him from Himself, he forgets (the affliction) for (the removal of) which he used to pray (to Him) and starts assigning peers with Allâh, with the result that he causes the people to go astray from His path (the path leading to One God). Say, `Enjoy your ingratitude for a little while, you are sure to be of the inmates of the Fire.´ | وَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنسَانَ ضُرّ ٌ دَعَا رَبَّه ُُ مُنِيبا ً إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَه ُُ نِعْمَة ً مِنْهُ نَسِيَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادا ً لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِه ِِ ۚ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلا ً ۖ إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ |
| 'Amman Huwa Qānitun 'Ānā'a Al-Layli Sājidāan Wa Qā'imāan Yaĥdharu Al-'Ākhirata Wa Yarjū Raĥmata Rabbihi ۗ Qul Hal Yastawī Al-Ladhīna Ya`lamūna Wa Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna ۗ 'Innamā Yatadhakkaru 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi | َ039-009 Can he who is obedient and prays (to Allâh) devoutly in the hours of the night, (now) falling prostrate, (now) standing upright (in Prayer) taking precaution against (the grave sequel of) the Hereafter and hopes for the mercy of His Lord, (be treated like him who is disobedient)? Say, `Are those who know (their obligations) equal to those who know (them) not? Only those (endowed) with pure understanding do take heed.´ | أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَانِت ٌ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ سَاجِدا ً وَقَائِما ً يَحْذَرُ الآخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُو رَحْمَةَ رَبِّه ِِ ۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ |
| Qul Yā `Ibādi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Attaqū Rabbakum ۚ Lilladhīna 'Aĥsanū Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatun ۗ Wa 'Arđu Al-Lahi Wāsi`atun ۗ 'Innamā Yuwaffá Aş-Şābirūna 'Ajrahum Bighayri Ĥisābin | َ039-010 Say, `O My servants who believe! take your Lord as a shield. There is a good reward for those who do good in (the life of) this world. And (if you are persecuted for your faith know that) the earth of Allâh is vast and spacious (enough to provide you shelter). Certainly the patiently, persevering and steadfast will be given their reward beyond measure.´ | قُلْ يَاعِبَادِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ لِلَّذِينَ ۚ أَحْسَنُوا فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَة ٌ وَأَرْضُ ۗ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَة ٌ إِنَّمَا ۗ يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب ٍ |
| Qul 'Innī 'Umirtu 'An 'A`buda Al-Laha Mukhlişāan Lahu Ad-Dīna | َ039-011 Say, `Verily, I have orders to worship Allâh, being truly sincere to Him alone in obedience. | قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ مُخْلِصا ً لَهُ الدِّينَ |
| Wa 'Umirtu Li'n 'Akūna 'Awwala Al-Muslimīna | َ039-012 `And I have orders to be the foremost among those who surrender themselves (to His will).´ | وَأُمِرْتُ لِأنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
| Qul 'Innī 'Akhāfu 'In `Aşaytu Rabbī `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin | َ039-013 Say, `If I disobey my Lord I have to fear the torment of a dreadful day.´ | قُلْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
| Quli Al-Laha 'A`budu Mukhlişāan Lahu Dīni | َ039-014 Say, `It is Allâh I worship, being purely sincere to Him in my obedience. | قُلِ اللَّهَ أَعْبُدُ مُخْلِصا ً لَه ُُ دِينِ |
| Fā`budū Mā Shi'tum Min Dūnihi ۗ Qul 'Inna Al-Khāsirīna Al-Ladhīna Khasirū 'Anfusahum Wa 'Ahlīhim Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۗ 'Alā Dhālika Huwa Al-Khusrānu Al-Mubīnu | َ039-015 `Again, (as for you) you may go and worship whomsoever you please apart from Him.´ Say, `The true losers are those who ruin their own souls and their families on the Day of Resurrection.´ Beware! surely that is the manifest loss! | فَاعْبُدُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ الْخَاسِرِينَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَهْلِيهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ أَلاَ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ |
| Lahum Min Fawqihim Žulalun Mina An-Nāri Wa Min Taĥtihim Žulalun ۚ Dhālika Yukhawwifu Al-Lahu Bihi `Ibādahu ۚ Yā `Ibādi Fa Attaqūni | َ039-016 They shall have coverings of the fire over them and (sheets of similar) coverings below them (allowing them no escape). That is (the sort of punishment) against which Allâh warns His servants, `My servants! (do not invite My punishment, rather) take Me as (your) shield.´ | لَهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَل ٌ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَل ٌ ۚ ذَلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ اللَّهُ بِه ِِ عِبَادَه ُُ ۚ يَاعِبَادِ فَاتَّقُونِ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna Ajtanabū Aţ-Ţāghūta 'An Ya`budūhā Wa 'Anābū 'Ilá Al-Lahi Lahumu ۚ Al-Bushrá Fabashshir `Ibādi | َ039-017 But there await good tidings for those who restrain themselves from worshipping the transgressor (to the limit as defined by God) and turn to Allâh. So give glad tidings to My servants, | وَالَّذِينَ اجْتَنَبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ أَنْ يَعْبُدُوهَا وَأَنَابُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى ۚ فَبَشِّرْ عِبَادِ |
| Al-Ladhīna Yastami`ūna Al-Qawla Fayattabi`ūna 'Aĥsanahu ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Hadāhumu Al-Lahu ۖ Wa 'Ūlā'ika Hum 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi | َ039-018 Who listen to the word (of advice) and follow the best (injunction productive of the best results) thereof. It is they whom Allâh has guided and it is they who are endowed with pure and clear understanding. | الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ~ُ ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ |
| 'Afaman Ĥaqqa `Alayhi Kalimatu Al-`Adhābi 'Afa'anta Tunqidhu Man Fī An-Nāri | َ039-019 Can he then, against whom the verdict of punishment becomes due (and who therefore merits punishment, be saved?) Can you rescue him who is consigned to the Fire? | أَفَمَنْ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ أَفَأَنْتَ تُنقِذُ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ |
| Lakini Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum Lahum Ghurafun Min Fawqihā Ghurafun Mabnīyatun Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru ۖ Wa`da Al-Lahi ۖ Lā Yukhlifu Al-Lahu Al-Mī`ād | َ039-020 But for those who take their Lord as a shield, there awaits them lofty mansions, storey upon storey with streams running beneath them. (This is) the promise of Allâh; (and) Allâh will never fail in (His) promise. | لَكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ غُرَف ٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهَا غُرَف ٌ مَبْنِيَّة ٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لاَ يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ الْمِيعَاد |
| 'Alam Tará 'Anna Al-Laha 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fasalakahu Yanābī`a Fī Al-'Arđi Thumma Yukhriju Bihi Zar`āan Mukhtalifāan 'Alwānuhu Thumma Yahīju Fatarāhu Muşfarrāan Thumma Yaj`aluhu Ĥuţāmāan ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika Ladhikrá Li'wlī Al-'Albābi | َ039-021 Have you not seen (the sight) that Allâh sends down water from the clouds and causes it to flow (in the form of) streamlets on the earth and then brings forth herbage of various kinds and of diverse hues with it, then it dries up (after ripening) so that you see it turn yellow; then He turns it into chaff. Behold! in this (similitude) is a reminder for people endowed with pure and clear understanding. | أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَسَلَكَه ُُ يَنَابِيعَ فِي الأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُ بِه ِِ زَرْعا ً مُخْتَلِفاً أَلْوَانُه ُُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاه ُُ مُصْفَرّا ً ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُه ُُ حُطَاما ً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِأوْلِي الأَلْبَابِ |
| 'Afaman Sharaĥa Al-Lahu Şadrahu Lil'islāmi Fahuwa `Alá Nūrin Min Rabbihi ۚ Fawaylun Lilqāsiyati Qulūbuhum Min Dhikri Al-Lahi ۚ 'Ūlā'ika Fī Đalālin Mubīnin | َ039-022 Is he whose mind Allâh has opened for (the acceptance of) Islam, so that he follows the light from his Lord, (like one who gropes in the darkness of disbelief)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allâh. Such indeed are (steeped) in clear error. | أَفَمَنْ شَرَحَ اللَّهُ صَدْرَه ُُ لِلإِسْلاَمِ فَهُوَ عَلَى نُور ٍ مِنْ رَبِّه ِِ ۚ فَوَيْل ٌ لِلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| Al-Lahu Nazzala 'Aĥsana Al-Ĥadīthi Kitābāan Mutashābihāan Mathāniya Taqsha`irru Minhu Julūdu Al-Ladhīna Yakhshawna Rabbahum Thumma Talīnu Julūduhum Wa Qulūbuhum 'Ilá Dhikri Al-Lahi ۚ Dhālika Hudá Al-Lahi Yahdī Bihi Man Yashā'u ۚ Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Hādin | َ039-023 Allâh has revealed the best Message (the fairest discourse), this wonderfully coherent Book (the verses of which are mutually supplementing and) repeated, (narrating both sides of the case in various ways to drive home the divine injunctions to human minds). It makes the (very) skins of those who stand in awe of their Lord creep and their hearts tremble (at its recital). Yet their hearts and skins soften towards the remembrance of Allâh. This is Allâh´s guidance, He guides him thereby who wishes (to be guided). Yet none can guide him whom Allâh forsakes and adjudges to be astray. | اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابا ً مُتَشَابِها ً مَثَانِيَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ هَاد ٍ |
| 'Afaman Yattaqī Biwajhihi Sū'a Al-`Adhābi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۚ Wa Qīla Lilžžālimīna Dhūqū Mā Kuntum Taksibūna | َ039-024 Is he, then, who has only his own person to shield him from the evil punishment on the Day of Resurrection (like him who is secure). And it will be said to the unjust (on that Day), `Suffer the punishment of what you used to commit deliberately.´ | أَفَمَنْ يَتَّقِي بِوَجْهِه ِِ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَقِيلَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ |
| Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Fa'atāhumu Al-`Adhābu Min Ĥaythu Lā Yash`urūna | َ039-025 Their predecessors also cried lies (to their Messengers of God,) so that (Our) punishment came upon them from quarters they little perceived. | كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ |
| Fa'adhāqahumu Al-Lahu Al-Khizya Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā ۖ Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Akbaru ۚ Law Kānū Ya`lamūna | َ039-026 So Allâh made them suffer humiliation in the present life, and the punishment (in store for them) in the Hereafter will be greater still, if they but realise (it). | فَأَذَاقَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Đarabnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna | َ039-027 And We have set forth for the people all sorts of excellent and useful proofs in this Qur´ân that they may take heed, | وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَل ٍ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Qur'ānāan `Arabīyāan Ghayra Dhī `Iwajin La`allahum Yattaqūna | َ039-028 (We have revealed the) Qur´ân in Arabic, there is no deviation from rectitude (in it and is free from all flaws), that they may guard against sufferings. | قُرآناً عَرَبِيّاً غَيْرَ ذِي عِوَج ٍ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ |
| Đaraba Al-Lahu Mathalāan Rajulāan Fīhi Shurakā'u Mutashākisūna Wa Rajulāan Salamāan Lirajulin Hal Yastawiyāni Mathalāan ۚ Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi ۚ Bal 'Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna | َ039-029 Allâh describes the condition of a man belonging to several partners contending with one another; and (there is) another man devoted wholly to one person. Are the two alike in condition? (No how can they be?) All true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh. But most of them do not know (this truth). | ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلا ً رَجُلا ً فِيه ِِ شُرَكَاءُ مُتَشَاكِسُونَ وَرَجُلا ً سَلَما ً لِرَجُلٍ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلا ً ۚ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Innaka Mayyitun Wa 'Innahum Mayyitūna | َ039-030 (One day), you will surely die and so shall they (after a brief span of life). | إِنَّكَ مَيِّت ٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ مَيِّتُونَ |
| Thumma 'Innakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati `Inda Rabbikum Takhtaşimūna | َ039-031 Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will all dispute one with another before your Lord. | ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ |
| Faman 'Ažlamu Mimman Kadhaba `Alá Al-Lahi Wa Kadhdhaba Biş-Şidqi 'Idh Jā'ahu ۚ 'Alaysa Fī Jahannama Mathwáan Lilkāfirīna | َ039-032 Who then is more unjust than the one who invents lies about Allâh and cries lies to the very truth when it comes to him? Is there not in Gehenna an abode for (such) disbelievers? | فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَكَذَّبَ بِالصِّدْقِ إِذْ جَاءَهُ~ُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوى ً لِلْكَافِرِينَ |
| Wa Al-Ladhī Jā'a Biş-Şidqi Wa Şaddaqa ۙ Bihi 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Muttaqūna | َ039-033 But he who brings the truth and testifies whole heartedly to it (by accepting it as true) these it is who become secure against evil. | وَالَّذِي جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ~ِ ۙ أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ |
| Lahum Mā Yashā'ūna `Inda Rabbihim ۚ Dhālika Jazā'u Al-Muĥsinīna | َ039-034 They will have all that they desire with their Lord. Such is the reward of those who do excellent deeds. | لَهُمْ مَا يَشَاءُونَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ ذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| Liyukaffira Al-Lahu `Anhum 'Aswa'a Al-Ladhī `Amilū Wa Yajziyahum 'Ajrahum Bi'aĥsani Al-Ladhī Kānū Ya`malūna | َ039-035 It is they who best deserve that Allâh should rid them of the worst (of evils) which they committed (before accepting Islam) and reward them according to the best and the noblest of their deeds. | لِيُكَفِّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Alaysa Al-Lahu Bikāfin `Abdahu ۖ Wa Yukhawwifūnaka Bial-Ladhīna Min Dūnihi ۚ Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Hādin | َ039-036 Is not Allâh sufficient for His servant? And yet they would try to frighten you with those (false gods they worship) other than Him (they cannot succeed). None can guide the person to success whom Allâh forsakes and adjudges to be astray. | أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِكَافٍ عَبْدَه ُُ ۖ وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ بِالَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ هَاد ٍ |
| Wa Man Yahdi Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Muđillin ۗ 'Alaysa Al-Lahu Bi`azīzin Dhī Antiqāmin | َ039-037 And none can mislead the person whom Allâh guides. Is not Allâh All-Mighty, the Lord of retribution? | وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ مُضِلٍّ ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِعَزِيز ٍ ذِي انْتِقَام ٍ |
| Wa La'in Sa'altahum Man Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Layaqūlunna Al-Lahu ۚ Qul 'Afara'aytum Mā Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'In 'Arādaniya Al-Lahu Biđurrin Hal Hunna Kāshifātu Đurrihi 'Aw 'Arādanī Biraĥmatin Hal Hunna Mumsikātu Raĥmatihi ۚ Qul Ĥasbiya Al-Lahu ۖ `Alayhi Yatawakkalu Al-Mutawakkilūna | َ039-038 If you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, `Allâh.´ Say, `Have you ever judged (the worth of) that you call upon apart from Allâh? If Allâh ever intended to do me some harm, will these (whom you worship) be able to avert His harm (from me)? Or can they withhold His mercy if He is pleased to treat me with mercy?´ Say, `Allâh is sufficient for me. (In Him do I put my trust.)´ Those who have learnt to trust place their trust in Him alone.´ | وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ~ِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِي بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِه ِِ ۚ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ ۖ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ |
| Qul Yā Qawmi A`malū `Alá Makānatikum 'Innī `Āmilun ۖ Fasawfa Ta`lamūna | َ039-039 Say, `O my people, do your worst, I shall go on doing (my best). You shall soon know, | قُلْ يَاقَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِل ٌ فَسَوْفَ ۖ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Man Ya'tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Yaĥillu `Alayhi `Adhābun Muqīmun | َ039-040 `Who receives a punishment that will disgrace him (in this life), and who suffers from a lasting torment (in the Hereafter)?´ | مَنْ يَأْتِيه ِِ عَذَاب ٌ يُخْزِيه ِِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَاب ٌ مُقِيم ٌ |
| 'Innā 'Anzalnā `Alayka Al-Kitāba Lilnnāsi Bil-Ĥaqqi ۖ Famani Ahtadá Falinafsihi ۖ Wa Man Đalla Fa'innamā Yađillu `Alayhā ۖ Wa Mā 'Anta `Alayhim Biwakīlin | َ039-041 Behold! We have revealed to you the perfect Book, it comprises the truth and wisdom. (It is) for the good of mankind. So he who follows (this) guidance will do so for the good of his own soul, and he who goes astray will do so to its own detriment (and so will himself suffer the loss). You are not responsible for them. | إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَى فَلِنَفْسِه ِِ ۖ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۖ وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيل ٍ |
| Al-Lahu Yatawaffá Al-'Anfusa Ĥīna Mawtihā Wa A-Atī Lam Tamut Fī Manāmihā ۖ Fayumsiku Allatī Qađá `Alayhā Al-Mawta Wa Yursilu Al-'Ukhrá 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | َ039-042 Allâh takes away the souls (of human being) at the time of their death and (also) of those who are not (yet) dead during their sleep. He detains (the souls of) those against whom He passes the verdict of death and sends (back those of) others till a fixed period of time. There are signs in this for a people who would reflect. | اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الأُخْرَى إِلَى أَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| 'Ami Attakhadhū Min Dūni Al-Lahi Shufa`ā'a ۚ Qul 'Awalaw Kānū Lā Yamlikūna Shay'āan Wa Lā Ya`qilūna | َ039-043 Have these (polytheists) chosen (certain other) intercessors apart from Allâh? Say, `What! (will they intercede for you?) though they have no authority at all and understand nothing.´ | أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لاَ يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئا ً وَلاَ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Qul Lillahi Ash-Shafā`atu Jamī`āan ۖ Lahu Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۖ Thumma 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna | َ039-044 Say, `All intercession belongs to Allâh entirely. To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, then towards Him you shall (all) be brought back.´ | قُلْ لِلَّهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيعا ً ۖ لَه ُُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Dhukira Al-Lahu Waĥdahu Ashma'azzat Qulūbu Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati ۖ Wa 'Idhā Dhukira Al-Ladhīna Min Dūnihi 'Idhā Hum Yastabshirūna | َ039-045 When (the name of) Allâh alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion but when (the names of) those who are below His high station are mentioned, behold they are at once filled with joy. | وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ |
| Quli Al-Lahumma Fāţira As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi `Ālima Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati 'Anta Taĥkumu Bayna `Ibādika Fī Mā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | َ039-046 Say, `O Allâh! Originator of the heavens and the earth, Possessor of the knowledge of the unseen and the seen, You alone judge between Your servants concerning that wherein they differ.´ | قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Wa Law 'Anna Lilladhīna Žalamū Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Wa Mithlahu Ma`ahu Lāftadaw Bihi Min Sū'i Al-`Adhābi Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۚ Wa Badā Lahum Mina Al-Lahi Mā Lam Yakūnū Yaĥtasibūna | َ039-047 And had the wrongdoers owned all that the earth contains and as much in addition to it, they would certainly offer it on the Day of Resurrection to redeem themselves from the woeful punishment; yet there would appear to them from Allâh that which they had never even thought of. | وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً وَمِثْلَه ُُ مَعَهُ لاَفْتَدَوْا بِه ِِ مِنْ سُوءِ الْعَذَابِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَبَدَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَحْتَسِبُونَ |
| Wa Badā Lahum Sayyi'ātu Mā Kasabū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn | َ039-048 And the evil (consequences) of the deeds they had deliberately done will become clear to them. And they will be caught by the very punishment they took no account of. | وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون |
| Fa'idhā Massa Al-'Insāna Đurrun Da`ānā Thumma 'Idhā Khawwalnāhu Ni`matan Minnā Qāla 'Innamā 'Ūtītuhu `Alá `Ilmin ۚ Bal Hiya Fitnatun Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna | َ039-049 And when harm afflicts a human being he calls upon Us. But when We confer Our favour on him he says, `I have been given this only on account of (my own) knowledge. It is not right, it is only a trial, yet most people do not know. | فَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنسَانَ ضُرّ ٌ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَاه ُُ نِعْمَة ً مِنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُه ُُ عَلَى عِلْم ٍ ۚ بَلْ هِيَ فِتْنَة ٌ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Qad Qālahā Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Famā 'Aghná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaksibūna | َ039-050 Their predecessors had said the same thing, yet all their acquisitions were of no avail to them, | قَدْ قَالَهَا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Fa'aşābahum Sayyi'ātu Mā Kasabū Wa ۚ Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Min Hā'uulā' Sayuşībuhum Sayyi'ātu Mā Kasabū Wa Mā Hum Bimu`jizīna | َ039-051 And the evil (consequences) of their deeds did overtake them. As for the wrong-doers from among these (rejecters of the truth), the evil (consequences) of their deeds shall surely overtake them also. They will never be able to frustrate (God´s plan). | فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا ۚ وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَاؤُلاَء سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ |
| 'Awalam Ya`lamū 'Anna Al-Laha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yu'uminūna | َ039-052 Do they not know that Allâh multiplies the means of livelihood (for such of His people) as He will, and makes them scant (for such of them as He pleases.) Behold! there are signs in all this for the people who would believe. | أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Qul Yā `Ibādī Al-Ladhīna 'Asrafū `Alá 'Anfusihim Lā Taqnaţū Min Raĥmati Al-Lahi ۚ 'Inna Al-Laha Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba Jamī`āan ۚ 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu | َ039-053 Say, `O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allâh. Surely, Allâh forgives all sins. Verily, He is the Great Protector, the Ever Merciful.´ | قُلْ يَاعِبَادِي الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لاَ تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ ۚ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعا ً إِنَّه ُُ ۚ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| Wa 'Anībū 'Ilá Rabbikum Wa 'Aslimū Lahu Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiyakumu Al-`Adhābu Thumma Lā Tunşarūna | َ039-054 And turn to your Lord (penitently), and submit yourselves to Him before the punishment befalls you; for (once it does) you shall not be helped. | وَأَنِيبُوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَأَسْلِمُوا لَه ُُ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ الْعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لاَ تُنْصَرُونَ |
| Wa Attabi`ū 'Aĥsana Mā 'Unzila 'Ilaykum Min Rabbikum Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiyakumu Al-`Adhābu Baghtatan Wa 'Antum Lā Tash`urūna | َ039-055 And follow the best (teaching suiting your condition) that has been revealed to you from your Lord before you receive the punishment which will come upon you all of a sudden and take you unawares. | وَاتَّبِعُوا أَحْسَنَ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ العَذَابُ بَغْتَة ً وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَشْعُرُونَ |
| 'An Taqūla Nafsun Yā Ĥasratā `Alá Mā Farraţtu Fī Janbi Al-Lahi Wa 'In Kuntu Lamina As-Sākhirīna | َ039-056 Lest (when it comes,) anyone (of you) should say, `Woe to me for failing in my duty towards Allâh! for I made fun (of His revelations.)´ | أَنْ تَقُولَ نَفْس ٌ يَاحَسْرَتَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْتُ فِي جَنْبِ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِينَ |
| 'Aw Taqūla Law 'Anna Al-Laha Hadānī Lakuntu Mina Al-Muttaqīna | َ039-057 Or lest anyone (of you) should say, `If Allâh had only guided me (by force) I would of course, have been of those who became secure against evil (by fully carrying out my duties).´ | أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هَدَانِي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ |
| 'Aw Taqūla Ĥīna Tará Al-`Adhāba Law 'Anna Lī Karratan Fa'akūna Mina Al-Muĥsinīna | َ039-058 Or lest anyone of you should say when he sees the punishment, `If I could only have the chance to return (to the world), I (too) would then be of those who do good.´ | أَوْ تَقُولَ حِينَ تَرَى الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي كَرَّة ً فَأَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ |
| Balá Qad Jā'atka 'Āyātī Fakadhdhabta Bihā Wa Astakbarta Wa Kunta Mina Al-Kāfirīna | َ039-059 (God will say,) `No! this cannot be. There did come to you My Messages but you cried them lies and you behaved arrogantly and were of the disbelievers.´ | بَلَى قَدْ جَاءَتْكَ آيَاتِي فَكَذَّبْتَ بِهَا وَاسْتَكْبَرْتَ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Tará Al-Ladhīna Kadhabū `Alá Al-Lahi Wujūhuhum Muswaddatun ۚ 'Alaysa Fī Jahannama Mathwáan Lilmutakabbirīna | َ039-060 And on the Day of Resurrection you will find the faces of those who invented lies in the name of Allâh, overcast with gloom and sorrow. (It will be said to them,) `Is there not a resort in Gehenna for such arrogant people?´ | وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَرَى الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ وُجُوهُهُمْ مُسْوَدَّةٌ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوى ً لِلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ |
| Wa Yunajjī Al-Lahu Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Bimafāzatihim Lā Yamassuhumu As-Sū'u Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna | َ039-061 (On the contrary) Allâh will deliver and grant salvation to those who guarded against evil and will lead them to a place of security and success befitting their dignity. No evil shall touch them (there), nor shall they ever grieve. | وَيُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا بِمَفَازَتِهِمْ لاَ يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوءُ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ |
| Al-Lahu Khāliqu Kulli Shay'in ۖ Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Wa Kīlun | َ039-062 Allâh is the Creator of all things and He is an Authority over every thing to control. | اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ وَكِيل ٌ |
| Lahu Maqālīdu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa ۗ Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Khāsirūna | َ039-063 To Him belong all that encircle the heavens and the earth. Those who deny the Messages of Allâh these it is who are the very losers. | لَه ُُ مَقَالِيدُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ أُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ |
| Qul 'Afaghayra Al-Lahi Ta'murūnnī 'A`budu 'Ayyuhā Al-Jāhilūna | َ039-064 Say, `Do you bid me to worship other (beings) than Allâh, O you ignorant ones!´ | قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Ūĥiya 'Ilayka Wa 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablika La'in 'Ashrakta Layaĥbaţanna `Amaluka Wa Latakūnanna Mina Al-Khāsirīna | َ039-065 Mind! it has already been revealed to you and your predecessors, `In case you associate partners (with Allâh in your worship) all your (such) works shall go in vain entirely, and you shall certainly be of the losers. | وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
| Bali Al-Laha Fā`bud Wa Kun Mina Ash-Shākirīna | َ039-066 `Rather you should worship Allâh alone and be of the thankful (to Him).´ | بَلِ اللَّهَ فَاعْبُدْ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ |
| Wa Mā Qadarū Al-Laha Ĥaqqa Qadrihi Wa Al-'Arđu Jamī`āan Qabđatuhu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa As-Samāwātu Maţwīyātun Biyamīnihi ۚ Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna | َ039-067 They have not yet appreciated (the attributes of) Allâh with the importance and appreciation that He deserves. The earth altogether shall be in His grip of power on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens shall be rolled up in His All-Powerful hand (and will so lie at His absolute disposal). Holy is He. (He is) far above and beyond the things these (polytheists) associate (with Him). | وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِه ِِ وَالأَرْضُ جَمِيعا ً قَبْضَتُه ُُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّماوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّات ٌ بِيَمِينِه ِِ ۚ سُبْحَانَه ُُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri Faşa`iqa Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Man Fī Al-'Arđi 'Illā Man Shā'a Al-Lahu ۖ Thumma Nufikha Fīhi 'Ukhrá Fa'idhā Hum Qiyāmun Yanžurūna | َ039-068 (That Day) there shall be a blast on the trumpet and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will fall into a swoon except whom Allâh will like (to spare). Then there will be a blast another time and behold! these people shall stand up awaiting (judgment before their Lord). | وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۖ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ~ِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَام ٌ يَنْظُرُونَ |
| Wa 'Ashraqati Al-'Arđu Binūri Rabbihā Wa Wuđi`a Al-Kitābu Wa Jī'a Bin-Nabīyīna Wa Ash-Shuhadā'i Wa Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | َ039-069 And the earth shall radiate with the light of her Lord. And the record (of their deeds) will be produced (before them), and the Prophets and the (other) witnesses shall be brought forward; people shall be judged in all fairness and no injustice shall be done to anyone of them. | وَأَشْرَقَتِ الأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Wuffiyat Kullu Nafsin Mā `Amilat Wa Huwa 'A`lamu Bimā Yaf`alūna | َ039-070 And every soul shall be repaid in full for its deeds; for He (the Almighty Lord) is well-aware of all that they do. | وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا عَمِلَتْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ |
| Wa Sīqa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Ilá Jahannama Zumarāan ۖ Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'ūhā Futiĥat 'Abwābuhā Wa Qāla Lahum Khazanatuhā 'Alam Ya'tikum Rusulun Minkum Yatlūna `Alaykum 'Āyāti Rabbikum Wa Yundhirūnakum Liqā'a Yawmikum Hādhā ۚ Qālū Balá Wa Lakin Ĥaqqat Kalimatu Al-`Adhābi `Alá Al-Kāfirīna | َ039-071 And those who disbelieve will be driven to Gehenna in multitudes, until when they reach it, its gates will be opened and its keepers will say to them, `Did there not come to you Messengers from among yourselves to proclaim to you the Messages of your Lord and to warn you about the meeting of this Day of yours?´ They will say, `They did come, yet Allâh´s verdict of the punishment was justly due to have proved true against the disbelievers.´ | وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَراً ۖ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءُوهَا فُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُل ٌ مِنْكُمْ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِ رَبِّكُمْ وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا ۚ قَالُوا بَلَى وَلَكِنْ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ الْعَذَابِ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Qīla Adkhulū 'Abwāba Jahannama Khālidīna Fīhā ۖ Fabi'sa Mathwá Al-Mutakabbirīna | َ039-072 It will be said (to them), `Enter the gates of Gehenna, (you will be) abiding therein for long.´ How evil is the abode of the arrogant people! | قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ |
| Wa Sīqa Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw Rabbahum 'Ilá Al-Jannati Zumarāan ۖ Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'ūhā Wa Futiĥat 'Abwābuhā Wa Qāla Lahum Khazanatuhā Salāmun `Alaykum Ţibtum Fādkhulūhā Khālidīna | َ039-073 And those who took their Lord as a shield will be conducted to Paradise in multitudes until when they reach it and its gates are opened (to welcome them) and its keepers say to them, `Peace be upon you! Be you happy and prosperous! Enter it, (you will be) abiding (therein) for ever and ever.´ | وَسِيقَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ زُمَراً ۖ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءُوهَا وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ |
| Wa Qālū Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī Şadaqanā Wa`dahu Wa 'Awrathanā Al-'Arđa Natabawwa'u Mina Al-Jannati Ĥaythu Nashā'u ۖ Fani`ma 'Ajru Al-`Āmilīna | َ039-074 They will say, `All true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh alone Who has fulfilled His promise made to us; and has allowed us to inherit the land enabling us to dwell in Paradise wherever we please.´ How excellent is the reward of the doers of (righteous) deeds! | وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَه ُُ وَأَوْرَثَنَا الأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاءُ ۖ فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ |
| Wa Tará Al-Malā'ikata Ĥāffīna Min Ĥawli Al-`Arshi Yusabbiĥūna Biĥamdi Rabbihim ۖ Wa Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Qīla Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | َ039-075 And you will see the angels thronging around the Throne (of Power), glorifying their Lord with (His) praise. And judgment will be given between the people with justice, and it will be said, `All type of true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh, the Lord of the worlds.´ | وَتَرَى الْمَلاَئِكَةَ حَافِّينَ مِنْ حَوْلِ الْعَرْشِ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَقِيلَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
