'Inna 'Ilahakum Lawāĥidun َ037-004 Verily, your God is One,
Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Wa Rabbu Al-Mashāriqi َ037-005 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them and Lord of the places of the rising and spreading of light.
'Innā Zayyannā As-Samā'a Ad-Dunyā Bizīnatin Al-Kawākib َ037-006 Verily, We have beautified and embellished the nearer space (- the heaven visible to you) with an excellent embellishment, the stars and planets.
Wa Ĥifžāan Min Kulli Shayţāninridin َ037-007 And (We have placed therein) an effective safeguard against every insolently disobedient satan.

'Illā Man Khaţifa Al-Khaţfata Fa'atba`ahu Shihābun Thāqibāun َ037-010 Yet if anyone of them snatches away but once (to find out something), he is pursued by a bright shining flame.
Fāstaftihim 'Ahum 'Ashaddu Khalqāan 'Am Man Khalaqnā  ۚ  'Innā Khalaqnāhum Min Ţīnin Lāzibin َ037-011 Therefore, ask them (- your opponents) whether it is they (- the worldly people) who are harder in creation or those (spiritual beings) whom We have created. Them We have created out of adhesive sticking clay (so of firm and strong character).
Bal `Ajibta Wa Yaskharūna َ037-012 Whereas you marvel (at this mighty spiritual revelation) they hold you in low estimation.
Wa 'Idhā Dhukkirū Lā Yadhkurūna َ037-013 When they are admonished they pay no heed;
Wa 'Idhā Ra'aw 'Āyatan Yastaskhirūna َ037-014 And when they see a sign they seek to scoff (at it),
Wa Qālū 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun َ037-015 And they say, `This is nothing but an enchantment; (a device) causing a split (among the people).
'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'innā Lamabthūna َ037-016 `Well (can it be possible that) when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones we shall be raised to life (again)?
'Awa'ābā'uunā Al-'Awwalūna َ037-017 `And shall our forefathers of earlier times be (also)?´ أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الأَوَّلُونَ
Qul Na`am Wa 'Antumkhirūna َ037-018 Say, `Yes, and you shall then be disgraced.´ قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
Fa'innamā Hiya Zajratun Wāĥidatun Fa'idhā Hum Yanžurūna َ037-019 Then there shall be but a single driving shout and behold! they will be (up and) looking on.
Wa Qālū Yā Waylanā Hādhā Yawmu Ad-Dīni َ037-020 And they will say, `O woe be on us! this is the Day of Requital.´ وَقَالُوا يَاوَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
dhā Yawmu Al-Faşli Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tukadhdhibūna َ037-021 (They will be told,) `This is the Day of the (last) judgment, (yes) the very day you used to cry lies to.´ هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِه ِِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Aĥshurū Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Wa 'Azwājahum Wa Mā Kānū Ya`budūna َ037-022 (Angels will be commanded,) `Round up those who acted unjustly and their companions and the things they used to worship

Wa Qifūhum  ۖ  'Innahum Mas'ūlūna َ037-024 `And hold them up for a while for they have to be questioned.´ وَقِفُوهُمْ  ۖ  إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ
Mā Lakum Lā Tanāşarūna َ037-025 (They will be asked,) `What is the matter with you that you do not help one another (this day)?´ مَا لَكُمْ لاَ تَنَاصَرُونَ
Bal Humu Al-Yawma Mustaslimūna َ037-026 Rather they will on that day (being ashamed) be completely submissive (bending their heads low).
Wa 'Aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā'alūna َ037-027 Some of them will turn to the others, questioning to one another (reproachingly).
Qālū 'Innakum Kuntum Ta'tūnanā `Ani Al-Yamīni َ037-028 They (the seduced ones) will say (to the seducers), `Surely, you used to approach us with great force swearing ( your sincerity to guide us aright).´ قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
Qālū Bal Lam Takūnū Mu'uminīna َ037-029 They (- seducers) will reply, `It was not so. Rather you yourselves were not (inclined to be) the believers.
Wa Mā Kāna Lanā `Alaykum Min Sulţānin  ۖ  Bal Kuntum Qawmāan Ţāghīna َ037-030 `And we had no authority over you (to seduce you). The truth is that you yourselves were an unrestrained people (and given to excesses).
Faĥaqqa `Alaynā Qawlu Rabbinā  ۖ  'Innā Ladhā'iqūna َ037-031 `So (today) we all deserve the judgment of our Lord. We are the sufferers (of the punishment for our own evil deeds).
Fa'aghwaynākum 'Innā Kunnā Ghāwīna َ037-032 `So (it is) we (who) led you astray, for we ourselves had indeed gone astray.´ فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
Fa'innahum Yawma'idhin Al-`Adhābi Mushtarikūna َ037-033 On that day all of them shall surely share the punishment.
'Innā Kadhālika Naf`alu Bil-Mujrimīna َ037-034 Surely, that is how We deal with the guilty.
'Innahum Kānū 'Idhā Qīla Lahum Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Al-Lahu Yastakbirūna َ037-035 For when it was said to them, `There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but Allâh,´ they ever turned away in disdain.
Wa Yaqūlūna 'A'innā Latārikū 'Ālihatinā Lishā`irin Majnūnin َ037-036 And they used to say, `Are we to forsake our gods for the sake of a mad poet?´ وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوا آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِر ٍ مَجْنُون ٍ
Bal Jā'a Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Şaddaqa Al-Mursalīna َ037-037 Nay, (this Prophet is neither insane nor a poet,) the fact is that he brought the everlasting truth and has testified to the truth of (all) the Messengers (gone before him).
'Innakum Ladhā'iqū Al-`Adhābi Al-'Alīmi َ037-038 (Disbelievers!) you will suffer the woeful punishment, most certainly.
Wa Mā Tujzawna 'Illā Mā Kuntum Ta`malūna َ037-039 You shall be made to reap the fruit of your own deeds.
'Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna َ037-040 Different however is the case of the (chosen) servants of Allâh, the true and purified ones.
'Ūlā'ika Lahum Rizqun Ma`lūmun َ037-041 It is they for whom there awaits a provision (especially) earmarked,

`Alá Sururin Mutaqābilīna َ037-044 (They shall be seated) on thrones (of happiness and dignity), face to face.
Yuţāfu `Alayhim Bika'sin Min Ma`īnin َ037-045 They will be served in a round with a bowl containing pure drink filled at a limpid flowing fountain,
Bayđā'a Ladhdhatin Lilshshāribīna َ037-046 (Sparkling) white, delicious to the drinkers, (as a reward for their leading pure sweet and flawless lives).
Lā Fīhā Ghawlun Wa Lā Hum `Anhā Yunzafūna َ037-047 Neither these (drinks) will cause any ruinous effect, nor they will be deprived of intellectual faculties thereby.
Wa `Indahum Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi `Īnun َ037-048 And they will have (chaste wives) by their sides, damsels, with restrained and modest looks (and) with large beautiful eyes.
Ka'annahunna Bayđun Maknūnun َ037-049 Just as though they were eggs carefully guarded (- of pure and unsoiled character).
Fa'aqbala Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin Yatasā'alūna َ037-050 Then (sipping their cups) they will turn one to another asking questions;
Qāla Qā'ilun Minhum 'Innī Kāna Lī Qarīnun َ037-051 One of them will say, `Surely I had an intimate companion (in the world),
Yaqūlu 'A'innaka Lamina Al-Muşaddiqīna َ037-052 `Who used to say, "Are you indeed one of those who confirm (and really believe in the Resurrection)?
'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'innā Lamadīnūna َ037-053 Is it true that we shall be reunited when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?´ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابا ً وَعِظَاماً أَئِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
Qāla Hal 'Antum Muţţali`ūna َ037-054 He (- the confirmer of the Resurrection) will then add (saying), `Have a look (at that companion of mine to find how he fares!)?´ قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ
Fāţţala`a Fara'āhu Fī Sawā'i Al-Jaĥīmi َ037-055 Then as he will have a look (at his companion) he will find him right in the midst of Hell.
Qāla Ta-Allāhi 'In Kidta Laturdīni َ037-056 He will then say (to that companion), `By Allâh, you had almost caused me to perish;
Wa Lawlā Ni`matu Rabbī Lakuntu Mina Al-Muĥđarīna َ037-057 `But for the favour and grace of my Lord, I would have also been one of those who are facing (the punishment today).´ وَلَوْلاَ نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
'Afamā Naĥnu Bimayyitīna َ037-058 The owners of Paradise will then ask one another, `Is it not true that we are not going to suffer death (again)?
'Illā Mawtatanā Al-'Ūlá Wa Mā Naĥnu Bimu`adhdhabīna َ037-059 `Ours was only the death we have already met (in the world), and we are going to suffer no punishment.
'Inna Hādhā Lahuwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu َ037-060 `This indeed, is the mighty achievement (on our part).
Limithli Hādhā Falya`mali Al-`Āmilūna َ037-061 `Let those who would strive, then strive for the like of this (supreme triumph)!´ لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
'Adhalika Khayrun Nuzulāan 'Am Shajaratu Az-Zaqqūmi َ037-062 Does all this (state of bliss) make a better welcome than the tree of Zaqqûm (which will serve as food for the people of Gehenna)?
'Innā Ja`alnāhā Fitnatan Lilžžālimīna َ037-063 For We have made this (tree) a scourge for the wrongdoers.
'Innahā Shajaratun Takhruju Fī 'Aşli Al-Jaĥīmi َ037-064 It is a tree which springs forth from the bottom of Hell.
Ţal`uhā Ka'annahu Ru'ūsu Ash-Shayāţīni َ037-065 Its produce is as though it were the heads of serpents.
Fa'innahum La'ākilūna Minhā Famāli'ūna Minhā Al-Buţūna َ037-066 And most surely they, (the inmates of Hell,) shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it.
Thumma 'Inna Lahum `Alayhā Lashawbāan Min Ĥamīmin َ037-067 In addition to (all) this, they will have (therein) a mixture of boiling water (to drink).
Thumma 'Inna Marji`ahum La'ilá Al-Jaĥīmi َ037-068 Then most surely they shall finally go to Hell.
'Innahum 'Alfaw 'Ābā'ahum Đāllīna َ037-069 The thing is, they found their forefathers erring,
Fahum `Alá 'Āthārihim Yuhra`ūna َ037-070 And they are rushing on in their footsteps (as if driven by some inward urge).
Wa Laqad Đalla Qablahum 'Aktharu Al-'Awwalīna َ037-071 And most of the ancient people had erred before them.
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Fīhim Mundhirīna َ037-072 Though We had already sent Warners among them.
nžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mundharīna َ037-073 Behold! then, how (evil) was the end of those who were warned.
'Illā `Ibāda Al-Lahi Al-Mukhlaşīna َ037-074 Different, however, was the case of the chosen servants of Allâh, the true and purified ones.
Wa Laqad Nādānā Nūĥun Falani`ma Al-Mujībūna َ037-075 And Noah did call upon Us (in his hour of trial); how Gracious We are in answering prayers! (and how excellent a response did We make!)
Wa Najjaynāhu Wa 'Ahlahu Mina Al-Karbi Al-`Ažīmi َ037-076 We delivered him and his people from the great distress.
Wa Ja`alnā Dhurrīyatahu Humu Al-Bāqīna َ037-077 And We let his progeny alone to survive.
Wa Taraknā `Alayhi Fī Al-'Ākhirīna َ037-078 And We left behind him (a blessed salutation) for the later generations (to remember him by).
Salāmun `Alá Nūĥin Al-`Ālamīna َ037-079 `Peace be upon Noah,´ (the prayer being invoked upon him) among all the peoples.
'Innā Kadhālika Naj Al-Muĥsinīna َ037-080 That is how We reward those who do good to others.
'Innahu Min `Ibādinā Al-Mu'uminīna َ037-081 He was surely (one) of Our believing servants.
Thumma 'Aghraq Al-'Ākharīna َ037-082 And (whereas We saved him and his people) We drowned the rest.
Wa 'Inna Min Shī`atihi La'ibrāhīma َ037-083 And Abraham also belonged to his (Noah´s) school of thought.
'Idh Jā'a Rabbahu Biqalbin Salīmin َ037-084 (Recall the time) when he came to his Lord with a pure heart,
'Idh Qāla Li'abīhi Wa Qawmihi Mādhā Ta`budūna َ037-085 (And) when he asked his sire and his people, `What is it that you worship?
'A'ifkāan 'Ālihatan Dūna Al-Lahi Turīdūna َ037-086 `Do you choose (to worship) gods made falsely leaving Allâh aside,
Famā Žannukum Birabbi Al-`Ālamīna َ037-087 `So what do you take the Lord of the worlds to be (as you people worship false gods)?´ فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Fanažara Nažratan An-Nujūmi َ037-088 Then he cast a glance at the stars (intimating that their discussion has dragged far into the night);
Faqāla 'Innī Saqīmun َ037-089 And said, `I am indeed sick (of your worshipping false gods).´ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيم ٌ
Fatawallaw `Anhu Mudbirīna َ037-090 So those people turned their backs upon him and left him.
Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ālihatihim Faqāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna َ037-091 Then he turned (his attention) towards their gods and (with a mind to make their worshippers realise their folly) said (addressing the gods), `Do you not eat (any of the things that lie before you)?
Mā Lakum Lā Tanţiqūna َ037-092 `What is wrong with you that you do not even speak?´ مَا لَكُمْ لاَ تَنطِقُونَ
Farāgha `Alayhim Đarbāan Bil-Yamīni َ037-093 He then came upon them hitting them hard with the right hand.
Fa'aqbalū 'Ilayhi Yaziffūna َ037-094 (Hearing this news) the people came running to him.
Qāla 'Ata`budūna Mā Tanĥitūna َ037-095 He said (to them), `You worship the things you have chiselled yourselves;
Wa Allāhu Khalaqakum Wa Mā Ta`malūna َ037-096 `Whereas (it is) Allâh (Who) has created you, but what is it that you are doing?´ وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Qālū Abnū Lahu Bunyānāan Fa'alqūhu Fī Al-Jaĥīmi َ037-097 (His opponents) said, `Build up a pyre for him and throw him into the blazing fire.´ قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَه ُُ بُنْيَانا ً فَأَلْقُوه ُُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
Fa'arādū Bihi Kaydāan Faja`alnāhumu Al-'Asfalīna َ037-098 Thus they designed a plan against him, but We made them to be the most humiliated.
Wa Qāla 'Innī Dhāhibun 'Ilá Rabbī Sayahdīni َ037-099 (Abraham) said, `I shall go where my Lord bids me. He will surely guide me right (to the path leading to success in my mission).´ وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِب ٌ إِلَى رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
Rabbi Hab Lī Mina Aş-Şāliĥīna َ037-100 (And he prayed,) `My Lord! grant me (an issue who is) of the righteous.´ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
