35) سُورَة فَاطِر

Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Fāţiri As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Jā`ili Al-Malā'ikati Rusulāan 'Ūlī 'Ajniĥatin Mathná Wa Thulātha Wa Rubā`a Yazīdu Fī Al-Khalqi Mā Yashā'u 'Inna Al-Laha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ035-001 All kind of true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, Who employs as (His) messengers the angels, having two or three or four pairs of wings (and so possessed of powers, speed and qualities in varying degrees). He adds to the creation (of these wings and thus to the powers and abilities of the angels) as much as He will (in accordance with the importance of the work entrusted to each one of them), for Allâh is Possessor of power over (His) every desired thing. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ رُسُلاً أُولِي أَجْنِحَة ٍ مَثْنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاعَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
Mā Yaftaĥi Al-Lahu Lilnnāsi Min Raĥmatin Falā Mumsika Lahā  ۖ  Wa Mā Yumsik Falā Mursila Lahu Min Ba`dihi  ۚ  Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu َ035-002 Whatever (blessings of) mercy Allâh showers upon mankind there is none to withhold them. And none can grant that which He withholds after it (has once been withheld by Him). He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. مَا يَفْتَحِ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَة ٍ فَلاَ مُمْسِكَ لَهَا  ۖ  وَمَا يُمْسِكْ فَلاَ مُرْسِلَ لَه ُُ مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ  ۚ  وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu Adhkurū Ni`mata Al-Lahi `Alaykum  ۚ  Hal Min Khāliqin Ghayru Al-Lahi Yarzuqukum Mina As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa  ۖ  Fa'anná Tu'ufakūna َ035-003 Mankind! remember the favour of Allâh that rests upon you. Is there any Creator other than Allâh who provides (all sorts of provisions) for you from the heaven and the earth? There is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. Whither are you then being led astray? يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ هَلْ  ۚ  مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لاَ  ۚ  إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ فَأَنَّى  ۖ  تُؤْفَكُونَ
Wa 'In Yukadhdhibūka Faqad Kudhdhibat Rusulun Min Qablika  ۚ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Turja`u Al-'Umūru َ035-004 If they cry lies to you (you need not bother because) other Messengers (of God) have already been cried lies to before you. Yet all matters stand referred to Allâh (for His final judgment). وَإِنْ يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُل ٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ  ۚ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الأُمُورُ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun  ۖ  Falā Taghurrannakumu Al-Ĥayā Atu  ۖ  Ad-Dunyā Wa Lā Yaghurrannakum Bil-Lahi Al-Gharūru َ035-005 Mankind! the promise of Allâh is undoubtedly true, so do not let the present life deceive you, and do not let the avowed seducer seduce you away from Allâh. يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ فَلاَ  ۖ  تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ  ۖ  يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Lakum `Adūwun Fa Attakhidhūhu `Adūwāan  ۚ  'Innamā Yad`ū Ĥizbahu Liyakūnū Min 'Aşĥābi As-Sa`īri َ035-006 Surely, satan is an enemy to you, so treat him as an enemy. He calls his party only (to follow him) with the result that they become of the inmates of the blazing Fire. إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوّ ٌ فَاتَّخِذُوه ُُ عَدُوّا ً  ۚ  إِنَّمَا يَدْعُو حِزْبَه ُُ لِيَكُونُوا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ
Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa  ۖ  Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Lahum Maghfiratun Wa 'Ajrun Kabīrun َ035-007 There awaits a severe punishment for those who disbelieve. But there awaits His protection and a great reward for those who believe and (also) do deeds of righteousness. الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ  ۖ  وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ وَأَجْر ٌ كَبِير ٌ
'Afaman Zuyyina Lahu Sū'u `Amalihi Fara'āhu Ĥasanāan  ۖ  Fa'inna Al-Laha Yuđillu Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī Man Yashā'u  ۖ  Falā Tadh/hab Nafsuka `Alayhim Ĥasarātin  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha `Alīmun Bimā Yaşna`ūna َ035-008 Can the person, the evil of whose conduct is made to appear pleasing and regards it as good, (be in a position to discern the truth and so be rightly guided). Allâh forsakes him who wishes to go astray (as it is His law). And He guides (him) aright who wishes (to get right guidance). So do not fret yourself to death because of them. Surely, Allâh knows what they do. أَفَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَه ُُ سُوءُ عَمَلِه ِِ فَرَآهُ حَسَنا ً  ۖ  فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۖ  فَلاَ تَذْهَبْ نَفْسُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسَرَات ٍ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ
Wa Allāhu Al-Ladhī 'Arsala Ar-Riyāĥa Fatuthīru Saĥābāan Fasuqnāhu 'Ilá Baladin Mayyitin Fa'aĥyaynā Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da  ۚ  Mawtihā Kadhālika An-Nushūru َ035-009 And Allâh is He Who sends the winds which raise (vapours in the form of) clouds. (When the clouds rise) We drive them towards a tract of land which has no sign of life and make thereby the barren land fertile, green and flourishing. That is how the quickening (of the dead shall come to pass). وَاللَّهُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابا ً فَسُقْنَاهُ~ُ إِلَى بَلَد ٍ مَيِّت ٍ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ النُّشُورُ
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-`Izzata Falillāhi Al-`Izzatu Jamī`āan  ۚ  'Ilayhi Yaş`adu Al-Kalimu Aţ-Ţayyibu Wa Al-`Amalu Aş-Şāliĥu Yarfa`uhu Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhīna Yamkurūna As-Sayyi'āti Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun  ۖ  Wa Makru 'Ūlā'ika Huwa Yabūru َ035-010 Whoever seeks glory (let him turn to God as) all glory belongs to Allâh. All good and pure words (of faith) go up to Him and all the righteous deeds exalt that (faith). As for those who plan evil plots, there awaits them an agony of a severe nature; the evil planning of such is doomed to fail. مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعا ً  ۚ  إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُه ُُ  ۚ  وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ  ۖ  وَمَكْرُ أُوْلَائِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ
Wa Allāhu Khalaqakum Min Turābin Thumma Min Nuţfatin Thumma Ja`alakum  ۚ  'Azwājāan Wa Mā Taĥmilu Min 'Unthá Wa Lā Tađa`u 'Illā  ۚ  Bi`ilmihi Wa Mā Yu`ammaru Min Mu`ammarin Wa Lā Yunqaşu Min `Umurihi 'Illā Fī  ۚ  Kitābin 'Inna Dhālika `Alá Al-Lahi Yasīrun َ035-011 And Allâh created you out of dust and then from a drop of fluid and then made you pairs (- male and female). And no female conceives (a child) nor does she give birth (to it) but it is in accordance with His (- the Creator´s) knowledge. And no one who is granted long life gets his life prolonged or gets it reduced but (all this) is in (conformity with) some law. Verily, it is easy for Allâh (to impose such laws). وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَاب ٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَة ٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَاجا ً  ۚ  وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنْثَى وَلاَ تَضَعُ إِلاَّ بِعِلْمِه ِِ  ۚ  وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُعَمَّر ٍ وَلاَ يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِ~ِ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَاب ٍ  ۚ  إِنَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِير ٌ
Wa Mā Yastawī Al-Baĥrāni Hādhā `Adhbun Furātun Sā'ighun Sharābuhu Wa Hadhā Milĥun 'Ujājun  ۖ  Wa Min Kullin Ta'kulūna Laĥmāan Ţarīyāan Wa Tastakhrijūna Ĥilyatan Talbasūnahā  ۖ  Wa Tará Al-Fulka Fīhi Mawākhira Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna َ035-012 The two great bodies of water are not alike; this one is palatable, sweet and pleasant to drink while the other is saltish and bitter. Yet (inspite of all this) you take for food fresh and wholesome meat (of fish) from them both; and bring out from them (pearl-like things used in) ornaments for your wear. And you can see the ships cleaving (their way) through it so that you may seek of His bounty (by means of commercial navigation), and so that you may give (Him) thanks. وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْبَحْرَانِ هَذَا عَذْب ٌ فُرَات ٌ سَائِغ ٌ شَرَابُه ُُ وَهَذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاج ٌ  ۖ  وَمِنْ كُلّ ٍ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْما ً طَرِيّا ً وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَة ً تَلْبَسُونَهَا  ۖ  وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيه ِِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Yūliju Al-Layla Fī An-Nahāri Wa Yūliju An-Nahāra Fī Al-Layli Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Kullun Yajrī Li'jalin Musammáan  ۚ  Dhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbukum Lahu Al-Mulku Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhīna Tad`ūna Min Dūnihi Mā Yamlikūna Min Qiţmīrin َ035-013 He causes the night to gain on the day and He causes the day to gain on the night and He has harnessed the sun and the moon into service. Each one (of them) will go on moving for a specified term. Such is (the majesty of) Allâh, your Lord! All power belongs to Him. But those whom you call upon apart from Him have no power at all, not even equal to the husk of a date stone. يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلّ ٌ يَجْرِي لِأجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً  ۚ  ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ  ۚ  وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْ قِطْمِير ٍ
'In Tad`ūhum Lā Yasma`ū Du`ā'akum Wa Law Sami`ū Mā Astajābū Lakum  ۖ  Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yakfurūna Bishirkikum  ۚ  Wa Lā Yunabbi'uka Mithlu Khabīrin َ035-014 If you pray to them they do not hear your call; and even if they could hear it at all they could make you no response (so as to be of any use to you). And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny that you associated (them as partners with God). And none can inform you (about the all important truth) like (Allâh) Who is All-Aware. إِنْ تَدْعُوهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُوا دُعَاءَكُمْ وَلَوْ سَمِعُوا مَا اسْتَجَابُوا لَكُمْ  ۖ  وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُونَ بِشِرْكِكُمْ  ۚ  وَلاَ يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِير ٍ
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu 'Antumu Al-Fuqarā'u 'Ilá Al-Lahi Wa  ۖ  Allāhu Huwa Al-Ghanīyu Al-Ĥamīdu َ035-015 Mankind! it is you who are dependent upon Allâh (for your physical and spiritual needs), but Allâh, He is Self-Sufficient (- independent of all needs), the Praiseworthy (in His Own right). يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ  ۖ  هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ
'In Yasha' Yudh/hibkum Wa Ya'ti Bikhalqin Jadīdin َ035-016 If He please, He may destroy you and replace you with another people; إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْق ٍ جَدِيد ٍ
Wa Mā Dhālika `Alá Al-Lahi Bi`azīzin َ035-017 And that is not at all difficult for Allâh (to do so). وَمَا ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ بِعَزِيز ٍ
Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukhrá  ۚ  Wa 'In Tad`u Muthqalatun 'Ilá Ĥimlihā Lā Yuĥmal Minhu Shay'un Wa Law Kāna Dhā Qurbá  ۗ  'Innamā Tundhiru Al-Ladhīna Yakhshawna Rabbahum Bil-Ghaybi Wa 'Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata  ۚ  Wa Man Tazakká Fa'innamā Yatazakká Linafsihi  ۚ  Wa 'Ilá Al-Lahi Al-Maşīru َ035-018 And no soul that bears (its own) burden (of responsibility) can bear the burden of another. And if a soul heavily laden (with the weight of sins) calls to (be relieved of) its burden, not the least of its burden shall be borne (by the other) even though (it calls its) near kinsman. You can warn only those who hold their Lord in awe in the heart of their hearts and observe Prayer. And one who purifies oneself shall do it only for the good of one´s own soul, for to Allâh shall be the eternal return. وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَة ٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى  ۚ  وَإِنْ تَدْعُ مُثْقَلَة ٌ إِلَى حِمْلِهَا لاَ يُحْمَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْء ٌ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى  ۗ  إِنَّمَا تُنْذِرُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالغَيْبِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاَةَ  ۚ  وَمَنْ تَزَكَّى فَإِنَّمَا يَتَزَكَّى لِنَفْسِه ِِ  ۚ  وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ
Wa Mā Yastawī Al-'A`má Wa Al-Başīru َ035-019 The blind person and the person who sees are not alike; وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ
Wa Lā Až-Žulumātu Wa Lā An-Nūr َ035-020 Nor the thick darkness (of ignorance) and the light (of Islam); وَلاَ الظُّلُمَاتُ وَلاَ النُّور
Wa Lā Až-Žillu Wa Lā Al-Ĥarūru َ035-021 Nor the shades (of the Heaven) and the horrid heat (of the Hell-fire). وَلاَ الظِّلُّ وَلاَ الْحَرُورُ
Wa Mā Yastawī Al-'Aĥyā'u Wa Lā Al-'Amwātu  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Yusmi`u Man Yashā'u  ۖ  Wa Mā 'Anta Bimusmi`in Man Al-Qubūri َ035-022 The (spiritually) living and the (spiritually) dead are not alike. Allâh causes to hear whom He will. But you cannot make those hear who are (lying buried) in the graves (of ignorance and prejudice). وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الأَحْيَاءُ وَلاَ الأَمْوَاتُ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ  ۖ  وَمَا أَنْتَ بِمُسْمِع ٍ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ
'In 'Anta 'Illā Nadhīrun َ035-023 You are only a Warner. إِنْ أَنْتَ إِلاَّ نَذِير ٌ
'Innā 'Arsalnāka Bil-Ĥaqqi Bashīrāan Wa Nadhīrāan  ۚ  Wa 'In Min 'Ummatin 'Illā Khalā Fīhā Nadhīrun َ035-024 Verily, We have sent you with the lasting truth (as) a Bearer of glad-tidings and (as) a Warner (to them), for there has been no people but have (been warned by) a Warner (from God). إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ بَشِيرا ً وَنَذِيرا ً  ۚ  وَإِنْ مِنْ أُمَّة ٍ إِلاَّ خَلاَ فِيهَا نَذِير ٌ
Wa 'In Yukadhdhibūka Faqad Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Jā'at/hum Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti Wa Biz-Zuburi Wa Bil-Kitābi Al-Munīri َ035-025 And if they cry you lies, (remember) their predecessors (also) cried lies (to their Messengers of God) though their Messengers had brought to them clear proofs, the Scriptures and the illuminating Book. وَإِنْ يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالزُّبُرِ وَبِالْكِتَابِ الْمُنِيرِ
Thumma 'Akhadhtu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū  ۖ  Fakayfa Kāna Nakīri َ035-026 Then I took those who disbelieved to task, then (you saw) how (terrible) was the result of My disapproval (of them, and how tremendous was the change I brought)! ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا  ۖ  فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Al-Laha 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fa'akhrajnā Bihi Thamarātin Mukhtalifāan 'Alwānuhā  ۚ  Wa Mina Al-Jibāli Judadun Bīđun Wa Ĥumrun Mukhtalifun 'Alwānuhā Wa Gharābību Sūdun َ035-027 Do you not see that Allâh sends down water from above and brings forth therewith fruits of diverse varieties? And there are white and red strata in the mountains. They have various other colours (also) and (some are) jet-black. أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِه ِِ ثَمَرَات ٍ مُخْتَلِفاً أَلْوَانُهَا  ۚ  وَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَد ٌ بِيض ٌ وَحُمْر ٌ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُود ٌ
Wa Mina An-Nāsi Wa Ad-Dawābbi Wa Al-'An`ām Mukhtalifun 'Alwānuhu Kadhālika  ۗ  'Innamā Yakhshá Al-Laha Min `Ibādihi Al-`Ulamā'u  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha `Azīzun Ghafūrun َ035-028 Likewise there are some (species of) human beings, beasts and cattle of colours varying from one another. Only those of His servants who are endowed with right knowledge (and who can visualize the unity of the Creator by pondering over the diversity of the Creation) hold Allâh in reverential awe. Mighty is Allâh, Great Protector. وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَابِّ وَالأَنعَام مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُه ُُ كَذَلِكَ  ۗ  إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُور ٌ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yatlūna Kitāba Al-Lahi Wa 'Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Anfaqū Mimmā Razaqnāhum Sirrāan Wa `Alāniyatan Yarjūna Tijāratan Lan Tabūra َ035-029 Surely, (only) those who follow the Book of Allâh and observe Prayer and spend (for the cause of Allâh) privately and in public out of that which We have provided for them (thereby) hope (to do) a bargain which will never fail. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرّا ً وَعَلاَنِيَة ً يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَة ً لَنْ تَبُورَ
Liyuwaffiyahum 'Ujūrahum Wa Yazīdahum Min Fađlihi  ۚ  'Innahu Ghafūrun Shakūrun َ035-030 The result of it is that He will give them their full reward (for their righteous deeds) and (even) increase them out of His grace and bounty. Verily, He is Great Protector, Most Appreciating (of their right endeavours and Multiplier of reward). لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ غَفُور ٌ شَكُور ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Mina Al-Kitābi Huwa Al-Ĥaqqu Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna  ۗ  Yadayhi 'Inna Al-Laha Bi`ibādihi Lakhabīrun Başīrun َ035-031 And the perfect Book which We have revealed to you is the lasting truth (itself and contains all that is required). It confirms the truth (of the prophecies about the advent of Islam contained in the revelations) that preceded it. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of His servants and a keen Observer (of them). وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ هُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقا ً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِعِبَادِه ِِ لَخَبِير ٌ بَصِير ٌ
Thumma 'Awrath Al-Kitāba Al-Ladhīna Aşţafaynā Min `Ibādinā  ۖ  Faminhum Žālimun Linafsihi Wa Minhum Muqtaşidun Wa Minhum Sābiqun Bil-Khayrāti Bi'idhni Al-Lahi  ۚ  Dhālika Huwa Al-Fađlu Al-Kabīru َ035-032 We (always) made only those whom We had chosen from among Our servants, the inheritors of (Our) Book. Some of them are (hard upon themselves and so) unjust to their souls (for suppressing their egos sternly). There are others among them who are moderate and are following the middle course. There are yet others among them who, by the leave of Allâh, are foremost in acts of goodness. That indeed is the great distinction. ثُمَّ أَوْرَثْنَا الْكِتَابَ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَيْنَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا  ۖ  فَمِنْهُمْ ظَالِم ٌ لِنَفْسِه ِِ وَمِنْهُمْ مُقْتَصِد ٌ وَمِنْهُمْ سَابِق ٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْكَبِيرُ
Jannātu `Adnin Yadkhulūnahā Yuĥallawna Fīhā Min 'Asāwira Min Dhahabin Wa Lu'ulu'uāan  ۖ  Wa Libāsuhum Fīhā Ĥarīrun َ035-033 (Their reward will be) Gardens of Eternity; they shall enter them. And there they shall be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls and their robes therein will be (made of) silk. جَنَّاتُ عَدْن ٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَب ٍ وَلُؤْلُؤا ً  ۖ  وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِير ٌ
Wa Qālū Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī 'Adh/haba `Annā Al-Ĥazana  ۖ  'Inna Rabbanā Laghafūrun Shakūrun َ035-034 And (there) they will say, `All true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh Who has rid us of all (our) sorrows. Surely, our Lord is Great Protector, Most Appreciating. وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنَّا الْحَزَنَ  ۖ  إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُور ٌ شَكُور ٌ
Al-Ladhī 'Aĥallanā Dāra Al-Muqāmati Min Fađlihi Lā Yamassunā Fīhā Naşabun Wa Lā Yamassunā Fīhā Lughūbun َ035-035 It is He Who has lodged us in the Lasting Abode by His grace. Herein we know no toil, herein we know no weariness. الَّذِي أَحَلَّنَا دَارَ الْمُقَامَةِ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لاَ يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا نَصَب ٌ وَلاَ يَمَسُّنَا فِيهَا لُغُوب ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lahum Nāru Jahannama Lā Yuqđá `Alayhim Fayamūtū Wa Lā Yukhaffafu `Anhum Min  ۚ  `Adhābihā Kadhālika Najzī Kulla Kafūrin َ035-036 But as to those who disbelieve, there awaits them the fire of Gehenna. It will not be the end of them so that they might die, (for decree of death would end all their agony) nor shall (some part of) its agony be reduced for them. That is how We requite every ungrateful person. وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لاَ يُقْضَى عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا وَلاَ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِهَا  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي كُلَّ كَفُور ٍ
Wa Hum Yaşţarikhūna Fīhā Rabbanā 'Akhrijnā Na`mal Şāliĥāan Ghayra Al-Ladhī Kunnā Na`malu  ۚ  'Awalam Nu`ammirkum Mā Yatadhakkaru Fīhi Man Tadhakkara Wa Jā'akumu An-Nadhīru  ۖ  Fadhūqū Famā Lilžžālimīna Min Naşīr َ035-037 And therein they will clamour for help (saying), `Our Lord, take us out (of Hell) we will do righteous deeds different from those we used to do (in our previous life).´ (We shall say to them,) `Did We not give you life long enough so that he who might have liked to take heed could take heed during its course? There came a Warner to you as well. So suffer now (the agony of Hell). There is none to help the wrong doers (here). وَهُمْ يَصْطَرِخُونَ فِيهَا رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحاً غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ  ۚ  أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُمْ مَا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيه ِِ مَنْ تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاءَكُمُ النَّذِيرُ  ۖ  فَذُوقُوا فَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ نَصِير
'Inna Al-Laha `Ālimu Ghaybi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۚ  'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri َ035-038 Verily, Allâh knows the hidden realities of the heavens and the earth. He knows full well the innermost secret of the minds (of the people). إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَالِمُ غَيْبِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`alakum Khalā'ifa Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Faman Kafara Fa`alayhi Kufruhu  ۖ  Wa Lā Yazīdu Al-Kāfirīna Kufruhum `Inda Rabbihim 'Illā Maqtāan  ۖ  Wa Lā Yazīdu Al-Kāfirīna Kufruhum 'Illā Khasārāan َ035-039 It is He Who made you rulers on the earth. So one who chooses to disbelieve now will suffer the consequences of his disbelief. Their faithlessness will win for the disbelievers nothing but increased displeasure of their Lord. Indeed, their faithlessness will only make worse the loss of the disbelievers. هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلاَئِفَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  فَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُه ُُ  ۖ  وَلاَ يَزِيدُ الْكَافِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلاَّ مَقْتا ً  ۖ  وَلاَ يَزِيدُ الْكَافِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ إِلاَّ خَسَارا ً
Qul 'Ara'aytum Shurakā'akumu Al-Ladhīna Tad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'Arūnī Mādhā Khalaqū Mina Al-'Arđi 'Am Lahum Shirkun As-Samāwāti 'Am 'Ātaynāhum Kitābāan Fahum `Alá Bayyinatin Minhu  ۚ  Bal 'In Ya`idu Až-Žālimūna Ba`đuhum Ba`đāan 'Illā Ghurūrāan َ035-040 Say, `Have you considered regarding your associate-gods whom you call upon apart from Allâh? Show Me then what they have created of the earth. Or have they any partnership in (the creation of) the heavens? Or have We given these (worshippers of false deities) a Book so that they are supported by some clear proofs (mentioned) therein? Nay, not so at all, but (the truth is that) the wrongdoers hold out vain promises one to another only to deceive. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْك ٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابا ً فَهُمْ عَلَى بَيِّنَة ٍ مِنْهُ  ۚ  بَلْ إِنْ يَعِدُ الظَّالِمُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضا ً إِلاَّ غُرُورا ً
'Inna Al-Laha Yumsiku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa 'An Tazūlā  ۚ  Wa La'in Zālatā 'In 'Amsakahumā Min 'Aĥadin Min Ba`dihi  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna Ĥalīmāan Ghafūrāan َ035-041 Verily, Allâh sustains the heavens and the earth lest they should swerve away from their course. Should they swerve away there is none to uphold them (and save them from destruction) but He. Verily, He is Ever-Forbearing, Great Protector. إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولاَ  ۚ  وَلَئِنْ زَالَتَا إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَد ٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ حَلِيماً غَفُورا ً
Wa 'Aqsamū Bil-Lahi Jahda 'Aymānihim La'in Jā'ahum Nadhīrun Layakūnunna 'Ahdá Min 'Iĥdá Al-'Umami  ۖ  Falammā Jā'ahum Nadhīrun Mā Zādahum 'Illā Nufūrāan َ035-042 These people used to swear by Allâh by their most ardent oaths that if ever a Warner should come to them from Allâh they would be more rightly guided than anyone of the nations. But when a Warner did come to them this (coming of his) only increased them in aversion, وَأَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَاءَهُمْ نَذِير ٌ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَى مِنْ إِحْدَى الأُمَمِ  ۖ  فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ نَذِير ٌ مَا زَادَهُمْ إِلاَّ نُفُورا ً
Astikbārāan Al-'Arđi Wa Makra As-Sayyi'i  ۚ  Wa Lā Yaĥīqu Al-Makru As-Sayyi'u 'Illā Bi'ahlihi  ۚ  Fahal Yanžurūna 'Illā Sunnata Al-'Awwalīna  ۚ  Falan Tajida Lisunnati Al-Lahi Tabdīlāan  ۖ  Wa Lan Tajida Lisunnati Al-Lahi Taĥwīlāan َ035-043 And made them behave arrogantly on the earth and devise evil schemes; yet evil scheming recoils on none but its authors. They are, then, only waiting that We should follow (the same) practice which We did (in dealing) with the peoples of old. And you will find no change in that law of Allâh, nor will you ever find the law of Allâh shifting from its course. اسْتِكْبَارا ً فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ السَّيِّئِ  ۚ  وَلاَ يَحِيقُ الْمَكْرُ السَّيِّئُ إِلاَّ بِأَهْلِه ِِ  ۚ  فَهَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلاَّ سُنَّةَ الأَوَّلِينَ  ۚ  فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلا ً  ۖ  وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَحْوِيلا ً
'Awalam Yasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fayanžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Wa Kānū 'Ashadda Minhum Qūwatan  ۚ  Wa Mā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyu`jizahu Min Shay'in As-Samāwāti Wa Lā Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna `Alīmāan Qadīrāan َ035-044 Have they not travelled in the land and seen how (evil) was the end of their predecessors, while those were (a people) superior to and stronger than these in might? There is nothing in the heavens or on the earth that can render void (the plans) of Allâh. Verily, He is Possessor of perfect knowledge, All-Powerful. أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّة ً  ۚ  وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَه ُُ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ عَلِيما ً قَدِيرا ً
Wa Law Yu'uākhidhu Al-Lahu An-Nāsa Bimā Kasabū Mā Taraka `Alá Žahrihā Min Dābbatin Wa Lakin Yu'uakhkhiruhum 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan  ۖ  Fa'idhā Jā'a 'Ajaluhum Fa'inna Al-Laha Kāna Bi`ibādihi Başīrāan َ035-045 If Allâh were to take people to task for (every little of) their evil doings He would not leave on the surface of this (earth) a single living creature. But He (out of His all embracing mercy) grants them respite till a stated term. And when their appointed time comes (they come to realise that) Allâh has His servants well under (His) eyes (He deals with them according to the nature of their deeds). وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا مِنْ دَابَّة ٍ وَلَكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَى أَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً  ۖ  فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِه ِِ بَصِيرا ً
Next Sūrah
