| 'Alif-Lām-Mīm | َ030-001 Alif Lâm Mîm. | أَلِف-لَام-مِيم |
| Ghulibati Ar-Rūmu | َ030-002 The Byzantines have been defeated, | غُلِبَتِ الرُّومُ |
| Fī 'Adná Al-'Arđi Wa Hum Min Ba`di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibūna | َ030-003 In the land nearby (- Syria and Palestine); and they after their defeat shall overpower (their enemies, the Persians) | فِي أَدْنَى الأَرْضِ وَهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ |
| Fī Biđ`i Sinīna ۗ Lillahi Al-'Amru Min Qablu Wa Min Ba`du ۚ Wa Yawma'idhin Yafraĥu Al-Mu'uminūna | َ030-004 Within three to nine years. The power belongs to Allâh after (their defeat) as (it belonged to Him) before it. And on that day the believers (too) will rejoice | فِي بِضْعِ سِنِينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ الأَمْرُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمِنْ بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Binaşri Al-Lahi ۚ Yanşuru Man Yashā'u ۖ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu | َ030-005 Over the victory (given to them) by Allâh. He gives victory to whom He will, and He is the All-Mighty, the Ever Merciful. | بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ يَنصُرُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| Wa`da Al-Lahi ۖ Lā Yukhlifu Al-Lahu Wa`dahu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna | َ030-006 (This is) Allâh´s promise. It is far from Allâh to break His promise. Yet most of the people do not know (this). | وَعْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لاَ يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَه ُُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Ya`lamūna Žāhirāan Mina Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Hum `Ani Al-'Ākhirati Hum Ghāfilūna | َ030-007 They know only the apparent side of the present life, and they are completely unmindful of the next. | يَعْلَمُونَ ظَاهِرا ً مِنَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ الآخِرَةِ هُمْ غَافِلُونَ |
| 'Awalam Yatafakkarū Fī 'Anfusihim ۗ Mā Khalaqa Al-Lahu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ajalin Musammáan ۗ Wa 'Inna Kathīrāan Mina An-Nāsi Biliqā'i Rabbihim Lakāfirūna | َ030-008 Do they never think over in their own minds that Allâh has created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between the two only to suit the requirements of truth and wisdom (and with a definite end in view), but for a stated term (after which the doom must come)? Yet many among the people do not believe in the meeting with their Lord ever. | أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرا ً مِنَ النَّاسِ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَافِرُونَ |
| 'Awalam Yasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fayanžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim ۚ Kānū 'Ashadda Minhum Qūwatan Wa 'Athārū Al-'Arđa Wa `Amarūhā 'Akthara Mimmā `Amarūhā Wa Jā'at/hum Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti ۖ Famā Kāna Al-Lahu Liyažlimahum Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna | َ030-009 Have they not travelled through the land and seen how (evil) was the end of those who were before them? They (- their predecessors) were superior to them in prowess and strength. They tilled the land (built structures and dug up minerals from it), and populated it more and better than these have populated it. And their Messengers (of God) had come to them with manifest signs (but they denied them and were destroyed). It was indeed far from Allâh to have done injustice to them but they themselves wronged their own souls. | أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّة ً وَأَثَارُوا الأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِنْ كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ |
| Thumma Kāna `Āqibata Al-Ladhīna 'Asā'ū As-Sū'á 'An Kadhdhabū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Wa Kānū Bihā Yastahzi'ūn | َ030-010 Then evil was the end of those who did evil, because they cried lies to the Messages of Allâh and they treated them as something of least importance. | ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا السُّوءَى أَنْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِئُون |
| Al-Lahu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Thumma 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna | َ030-011 Allâh originates creation then He keeps on repeating and reproducing it, then to Him shall you be brought back. | اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُه ُُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yublisu Al-Mujrimūna | َ030-012 And on the day when the (promised) Hour (of Reckoning) will arrive those who have cut their ties (with Allâh and were lost in sin) will be confronted with despair. | وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Wa Lam Yakun Lahum Min Shurakā'ihim Shufa`ā'u Wa Kānū Bishurakā'ihim Kāfirīna | َ030-013 None from among their associate-gods will intercede for them, though they had renounced their faith (in Allâh) because of these gods whom they associated (with Him). | وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِهِمْ شُفَعَاءُ وَكَانُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ |
| Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yawma'idhin Yatafarraqūna | َ030-014 And day when the Hour (of Reckoning) will arrive on that day they (the virtuous and the sinful) will be sorted out (into different groups). | وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ |
| Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fahum Fī Rawđatin Yuĥbarūna | َ030-015 Then as for those who had believed and done deeds of righteousness, they will be welcomed with all honours and entertained in a stately and delightful Garden. | فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَة ٍ يُحْبَرُونَ |
| Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Wa Liqā'i Al-'Ākhirati Fa'ūlā'ika Fī Al-`Adhābi Muĥđarūna | َ030-016 But as for those who had disbelieved and cried lies to Our Messages and the meeting of the Hereafter, it is they who shall be given over to punishment (lasting long). | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَلِقَاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ |
| Fasubĥāna Al-Lahi Ĥīna Tumsūna Wa Ĥīna Tuşbiĥūna | َ030-017 So glorify Allâh when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning, | فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ |
| Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa `Ashīyāan Wa Ĥīna Tužhirūna | َ030-018 For to Him belongs all type of perfect and true praise in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon and when you enter upon the hour of noon. | وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَعَشِيّا ً وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ |
| Yukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Yukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi Wa Yuĥyī Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā ۚ Wa Kadhalika Tukhrajūna | َ030-019 Out of the dead He brings forth the living and out of the living He brings forth the dead. And He gives life to the earth (making it look green and flourishing) after its death. That is how you shall be raised (to life from the state of death). | يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ وَكَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Khalaqakum Min Turābin Thumma 'Idhā 'Antum Basharun Tantashirūna | َ030-020 And (it is one) of His signs that He created you of dust; and then lo, you are human beings who are spreading (far and wide over the earth). | وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَاب ٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ بَشَر ٌ تَنتَشِرُونَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Khalaqa Lakum Min 'Anfusikum 'Azwājāan Litaskunū 'Ilayhā Wa Ja`ala Baynakum Mawaddatan Wa Raĥmatan ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | َ030-021 And (it is one) of His signs that He has created spouses for you from your own species that you may find comfort in them. And He has induced mutual love and tenderness between you. Behold! there are signs in this for a people who would reflect. | وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجا ً لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَوَدَّة ً وَرَحْمَة ً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi Khalqu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Akhtilāfu 'Alsinatikum Wa 'Alwānikum ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Lil`ālimīna | َ030-022 The creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and colours are (also some) of His signs. Behold there are sure signs for the learned people in this (unity of mankind and Oneness of the Creator). | وَمِنْ آيَاتِه ِِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi Manāmukum Bil-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Abtighā'uukum Min Fađlihi ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yasma`ūna | َ030-023 And among His signs is your sleeping and your seeking of His bounty by night and day. Behold, there are sure signs in this for a people who would listen. | وَمِنْ آيَاتِه ِِ مَنَامُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَسْمَعُونَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi Yurīkumu Al-Barqa Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan Wa Yunazzilu Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fayuĥyī Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | َ030-024 And (one) of His signs is that He shows you (the flash of) lightning to create fear (of thunder and storm) and hope (for fruitful rain), and sends down water from the clouds and revives therewith the earth after its death (like barrenness). Behold there are (many) signs in this for a people who make use of their understanding. | وَمِنْ آيَاتِه ِِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفا ً وَطَمَعا ً وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Taqūma As-Samā'u Wa Al-'Arđu Bi'amrihi ۚ Thumma 'Idhā Da`ākum Da`watan Mina Al-'Arđi 'Idhā 'Antum Takhrujūna | َ030-025 And (it is one) of His signs that the heavens and the earth stand firm by His command. Then as soon as He calls you forth from the earth by a single call, behold you will come forth all at once and suddenly | وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِه ِِ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَة ً مِنَ الأَرْضِ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ |
| Wa Lahu Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۖ Kullun Lahu Qānitūna | َ030-026 All those who are in the heavens and the earth belong to Him (and serve Him); all are obedient to Him. | وَلَه ُُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۖ كُلّ ٌ لَه ُُ قَانِتُونَ |
| Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Wa Huwa 'Ahwanu `Alayhi ۚ Wa Lahu Al-Mathalu Al-'A`lá Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۚ Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu | َ030-027 It is He Who originates the creation then keeps on repeating and reproducing it. This (work of creation and reproduction) is most easy, for Him. His is the most exalted state (and the noblest attributes) in the heavens and the earth; and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. | وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُه ُُ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَلَهُ الْمَثَلُ الأَعْلَى فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ |
| Đaraba Lakum Mathalāan Min 'Anfusikum ۖ Hal Lakum Min Mā Malakat 'Aymānukum Min Shurakā'a Fī Mā Razaqnākum Fa'antum Fīhi Sawā'un Takhāfūnahum Kakhīfatikum 'Anfusakum ۚ Kadhālika Nufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`qilūna | َ030-028 He sets forth for you an illustration drawn from your own lives. Do any of those whom your right hands own equally share with you that which We have provided you with. It is, however, a fact that you all (the owner and the owned) are equal (partners) in it, so that you take care of them as you take care of your own selves. That is how We explain many of Our Messages to a people who make use of their understanding. | ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَثَلا ً مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَلْ لَكُمْ مِنْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِنْ شُرَكَاءَ فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ فِيه ِِ سَوَاء ٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Bal Attaba`a Al-Ladhīna Žalamū 'Ahwā'ahum Bighayri `Ilmin ۖ Faman Yahdī Man 'Ađalla Al-Lahu ۖ Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna | َ030-029 Nay, but those who behave unjustly, they pursue their own low desires without (any) knowledge (whatsoever). So who can guide one whom Allâh has adjudged as lost? There will be none to help them. | بَلْ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْم ٍ ۖ فَمَنْ يَهْدِي مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ ۖ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ |
| Fa'aqim Wajhaka Lilddīni Ĥanīfāan Fiţrata ۚ Al-Lahi Allatī Faţara An-Nāsa `Alayhā Lā ۚ Tabdīla Likhalqi Al-Lahi Dhālika ۚ Ad-Dīnu Al-Qayyimu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna | َ030-030 So pay your whole-hearted attention to (the cause of) faith as one devoted (to pure faith), turning away from all that is false. (And follow) the Faith of Allâh (-Islam) to suit the requirements of which He has made the nature of mankind. There can be no change in the nature (of creation) which Allâh has made. That is the right and most perfect Faith, yet most people do not know (it). | فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفا ً ۚ فِطْرَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لاَ تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Munībīna 'Ilayhi Wa Attaqūhu Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa Lā Takūnū Mina Al-Mushrikīna | َ030-031 (Believers! you should all be attentive to Him) turning to Him (in repentance), and take Him as (your) shield (for protection) and observe Prayer and be not of those who associate partners (with Him) - | مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُوه ُُ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَلاَ تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |
| Mina Al-Ladhīna Farraqū Dīnahum Wa Kānū Shiya`āan ۖ Kullu Ĥizbin Bimā Ladayhim Fariĥūna | َ030-032 Of those who have split up their faith and have divided themselves into sects so that every party is happy with what they have. | مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعا ً ۖ كُلُّ حِزْب ٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Massa An-Nāsa Đurrun Da`aw Rabbahum Munībīna 'Ilayhi Thumma 'Idhā 'Adhāqahum Minhu Raĥmatan 'Idhā Farīqun Minhum Birabbihim Yushrikūna | َ030-033 When some evil befalls the people they call on their Lord, turning sincerely to Him (in repentance). But no sooner He lets them enjoy mercy from Him than a section of them associate partners with Him (and starts worshipping gods besides Allâh), | وَإِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرّ ٌ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُمْ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَذَاقَهُمْ مِنْهُ رَحْمَة ً إِذَا فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Liyakfurū Bimā 'Ātaynāhum ۚ Fatamatta`ū Fasawfa Ta`lamūna | َ030-034 With the result that they show ingratitude for what We have given them. So (you ungrateful people,) enjoy yourselves (for a while) but shortly you will come to know (the consequences). | لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Am 'Anzalnā `Alayhim Sulţānāan Fahuwa Yatakallamu Bimā Kānū Bihi Yushrikūna | َ030-035 Have We revealed to them some authoritative proof which speaks (highly in favour) of what they associate with Him? | أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانا ً فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā 'Adhaqnā An-Nāsa Raĥmatan Fariĥū Bihā ۖ Wa 'In Tuşibhum Sayyi'atun Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīhim 'Idhā Hum Yaqnaţūna | َ030-036 And when We let people enjoy Our mercy they rejoice over it. But no sooner does an evil befall them, because of their own evil deeds, then they grow despondent. | وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَة ً فَرِحُوا بِهَا ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَة ٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ |
| 'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Al-Laha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yu'uminūna | َ030-037 Do they not see that Allâh multiplies the means of livelihood for whomsoever He will and makes them scant (for whomsoever He will). Behold there are signs in this for a people who would believe. | أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Fa'āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli ۚ Dhālika Khayrun Lilladhīna Yurīdūna Wajha Al-Lahi Wa 'Ūlā'ika ۖ Humu Al-Mufliĥūna | َ030-038 So present to the near of kin his due, and to the needy and the wayfarer. This is best for those who seek the pleasure of Allâh, it is they alone who will attain their goal. | فَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّه ُُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ ۚ ذَلِكَ خَيْر ٌ لِلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ |
| Wa Mā 'Ātaytum Min Ribāan Liyarbuwā Fī 'Amwāli An-Nāsi Falā Yarbū `Inda Al-Lahi ۖ Wa Mā 'Ātaytum Min Zakāatin Turīdūna Wajha Al-Lahi Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Muđ`ifūna | َ030-039 And that which you lay out as interest and usuary with a view to increase the wealth of the people does not help increase it in the sight of Allâh. But that which you present as Zakât (purifying dues) with a view to seek (thereby) the pleasure of Allâh, it is they (- the regular payers of Zakât) then who will increase (their wealth) many times over. | وَمَا آتَيْتُمْ مِنْ رِبا ً لِيَرْبُوَا فِي أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ فَلاَ يَرْبُوا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَا آتَيْتُمْ مِنْ زَكَاة ٍ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ هُمُ الْمُضْعِفُونَ |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Thumma Razaqakum Thumma Yumītukum Thumma Yuĥyīkum ۖ Hal Min Shurakā'ikum Man Yaf`alu Min Dhālikum Min Shay'in ۚ Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna | َ030-040 It is Allâh Who has created you, then He provides for you, then He will call you to death, (and) then He will bring you to life. Is there any of your (socalled) associate-gods who can do the least of these things? Holy is He and Highly-Exalted and far above the things they associate (with Him). | اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِكُمْ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ مِنْ ذَلِكُمْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَه ُُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Žahara Al-Fasādu Fī Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Bimā Kasabat 'Aydī An-Nāsi Liyudhīqahum Ba`đa Al-Ladhī `Amilū La`allahum Yarji`ūna | َ030-041 Disorder and corruption has prevailed on land and sea owing to the evil (deeds) which people have wrought. The result will be that He will make them taste (in this world) the fruit of (some of) their misdeeds so that they may return (to the right path, giving up their evil ways). | ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ |
| Qul Sīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablu ۚ Kāna 'Aktharuhum Mushrikīna | َ030-042 Say, `Travel all over the earth and behold how (evil) the end of your predecessors was. Most of them were those who assigned associates (with God).´ | قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُشْرِكِينَ |
| Fa'aqim Wajhaka Lilddīni Al-Qayyimi Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiya Yawmun Lā Maradda Lahu Mina Al-Lahi Yawma'idhin ۖ Yaşşadda`ūna | َ030-043 So pay your whole-hearted attention to (the cause of) the right and perfect faith before there comes from Allâh the day for which there will be no averting. On that day they (- the believers and disbelievers) shall split up (into different groups). | فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ الْقَيِّمِ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْم ٌ لاَ مَرَدَّ لَه ُُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَصَّدَّعُونَ |
| Man Kafara Fa`alayhi Kufruhu ۖ Wa Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Fali'anfusihim Yamhadūna | َ030-044 So that those who disbelieve will pay for their disbelief while those who do righteous deeds will find that they have made provisions for their own good. | مَنْ كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُه ُُ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ |
| Liyajziya Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Min Fađlihi ۚ 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Kāfirīna | َ030-045 And so that He will reward those who believe and do deeds of righteousness through His bounty and grace. And He does not love the disbelievers, of course. | لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Yursila Ar-Riyāĥa Mubashshirātin Wa Liyudhīqakum Min Raĥmatihi Wa Litajriya Al-Fulku Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna | َ030-046 And (it is one) of His signs that He sends the winds as heralds of glad-tidings. He does it that He may let you enjoy (the blessings of) His mercy and that the ships may sail at His command and that you may seek His bounty and grace and so that you may render ( Him) thanks. | وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَات ٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِه ِِ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Rusulāan 'Ilá Qawmihim Fajā'ūhum Bil-Bayyināti Fāntaqamnā Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ajramū ۖ Wa Kāna Ĥaqqāan `Alaynā Naşru Al-Mu'uminīna | َ030-047 Indeed, We have already sent Messengers to their (respective) people before you, and they came to them with clear proofs. Then We punished those who had (denied their Apostles and) cut their ties (with God). And it is of course ever incumbent upon Us to help the believers. | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ رُسُلا ً إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاءُوهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا ۖ وَكَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Yursilu Ar-Riyāĥa Fatuthīru Saĥābāan Fayabsuţuhu Fī As-Samā'i Kayfa Yashā'u Wa Yaj`aluhu Kisafāan Fatará Al-Wadqa Yakhruju Min Khilālihi ۖ Fa'idhā 'Aşāba Bihi Man Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi 'Idhā Hum Yastabshirūna | َ030-048 It is Allâh alone who sends forth the winds and they raise (the vapours to form) a cloud which He spreads out in the sky as He will and sets it layer upon layer, and you see the rain falling from its midst. And no sooner does He cause it to fall on whom He will of His servants than they are filled with joy, | اللَّهُ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابا ً فَيَبْسُطُه ُُ فِي السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ وَيَجْعَلُه ُُ كِسَفا ً فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلاَلِه ِِ ۖ فَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ~ِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ |
| Wa 'In Kānū Min Qabli 'An Yunazzala `Alayhim Min Qablihi Lamublisīna | َ030-049 Though shortly before it was sent down upon them they were in a state of despondency. | وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ لَمُبْلِسِينَ |
| Fānžur 'Ilá 'Āthāri Raĥmati Al-Lahi Kayfa Yuĥyī Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā ۚ 'Inna Dhālika Lamuĥyī Al-Mawtá ۖ Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun | َ030-050 Look, therefore, at the evidences of Allâh´s mercy! how He breathes life into the earth (making it green and flourishing) after its (state of) death. Surely, He (it is), the same (God), Who will raise the dead to life (in the Hereafter), for He is the Possessor of power over every desired thing. | فَانظُرْ إِلَى آثَارِ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْيِي الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ |
| Wa La'in 'Arsalnā Rīĥāan Fara'awhu Muşfarrāan Lažallū Min Ba`dihi Yakfurūna | َ030-051 And if We send (another kind of blasting) wind and they see it turn yellow (for its having taken the form of punishment) they will even after that continue to disbelieve (for their being engrossed in evil doings). | وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحا ً فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرّا ً لَظَلُّوا مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ يَكْفُرُونَ |
| Fa'innaka Lā Tusmi`u Al-Mawtá Wa Lā Tusmi`u Aş-Şumma Ad-Du`ā'a 'Idhā Wa Llaw Mudbirīna | َ030-052 And you cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they retreat turning their backs (on you), | فَإِنَّكَ لاَ تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى وَلاَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ |
| Wa Mā 'Anta Bihādī Al-`Umyi `An Đalālatihim ۖ 'In Tusmi`u 'Illā Man Yu'uminu Bi'āyātinā Fahum Muslimūn | َ030-053 Nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear who would believe in Our Messages and submit (to Us). | وَمَا أَنْتَ بِهَادِي الْعُمْيِ عَنْ ضَلاَلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِنْ تُسْمِعُ إِلاَّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِآيَاتِنَا فَهُمْ مُسْلِمُون |
| Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Min Đa`fin Thumma Ja`ala Min Ba`di Đa`fin Qūwatan Thumma Ja`ala Min Ba`di Qūwatin Đa`fāan Wa Shaybatan ۚ Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u ۖ Wa Huwa Al-`Alīmu Al-Qadīru | َ030-054 (It is) Allâh alone Who creates you in (a state of) weakness, He then replaces your weakness with strength (of youth) and again (replaces your) strength with weakness and gray hair (of old age). He creates what He will. He is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful. | اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ ضَعْف ٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَعْف ٍ قُوَّة ً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ قُوَّة ٍ ضَعْفا ً وَشَيْبَة ً ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْقَدِيرُ |
| Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yuqsimu Al-Mujrimūna Mā Labithū Ghayra Sā`atin ۚ Kadhālika Kānū Yu'ufakūna | َ030-055 And on the day when the Hour shall arrive (and the Resurrection takes place) the guilty will swear that they stayed (in the world) for not more than a very brief period. Just as they had been turned away (from the right way so they will be turned away from Allâh´s protection on that day). | وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا غَيْرَ سَاعَة ٍ ۚ كَذَلِكَ كَانُوا يُؤْفَكُونَ |
| Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma Wa Al-'Īmāna Laqad Labithtum Fī Kitābi Al-Lahi 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Ba`thi ۖ Fahadhā Yawmu Al-Ba`thi Wa Lakinnakum Kuntum Lā Ta`lamūna | َ030-056 And those who (in their present life) have been given (true) knowledge and the faith will say, `You have indeed stayed (behind) according to the Record of Allâh till the Day of being raised up (to life of the Hereafter). This then is the Day of being raised up (to life) but you did not (care to) know. | وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ ۖ فَهَذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Fayawma'idhin Lā Yanfa`u Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Ma`dhiratuhum Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna | َ030-057 So on that Day no excuses (in their defence) will avail those who had acted unjustly, nor will they be allowed to approach the threshold (to be admitted into the fold of the near ones of God). | فَيَوْمَئِذ ٍ لاَ يَنفَعُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Đarabnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin ۚ Wa La'in Ji'tahum Bi'āyatin Layaqūlanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'In 'Antum 'Illā Mubţilūna | َ030-058 We have indeed described for mankind every excellent thing in this Qur´ân; and even if you bring them a sign those who disbelieve would certainly say, `You and your followers are all devotees of falsehood.´ | وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَل ٍ ۚ وَلَئِنْ جِئْتَهُمْ بِآيَة ٍ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلاَّ مُبْطِلُونَ |
| Kadhālika Yaţba`u Al-Lahu `Alá Qulūbi Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna | َ030-059 That is how Allâh seals the hearts of those who do not (bother to) know (and be guided). | كَذَلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Fāşbir 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun ۖ Wa Lā Yastakhiffannaka Al-Ladhīna Lā Yūqinūna | َ030-060 Therefore, (Prophet!) have patience and perseverance. Surely, the promise of Allâh (about your victory and the defeat of the disbelievers) is (bound to be) true; so let not those who are not convinced of the truth hold you in light estimation (so as to move you from your stand). | فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ ۖ وَلاَ يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُوقِنُونَ |
