17) سُورَة الإسرَاء

Subĥāna Al-Ladhī 'Asrá Bi`abdihi Laylāan Mina Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi 'Ilá Al-Masjidi Al-'Aqşá Al-Ladhī Bāraknā Ĥawlahu Linuriyahu Min 'Āyātinā 'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Başīru َ017-001 Glory be to Him Who carried His servant by night from the Holy Mosque (at Makkah) to the Distant Mosque (at Jerusalem), the precincts of which (too) We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs. Infact, He alone is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِه ِِ لَيْلا ً مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَه ُُ لِنُرِيَه ُُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ
Wa 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudáan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Allā Tattakhidhū Min Dūnī Wa Kīlāan َ017-002 And (similarly) We gave Moses the Scripture and We made it a guidance for the Children of Israel, saying, `Take no (one as) disposer of affairs apart from Me. وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَاه ُُ هُدى ً لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلاَّ تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِي وَكِيلا ً
Dhurrīyata Man Ĥamalnā Ma`a Nūĥin  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna `Abdāan Shakūrāan َ017-003 `O You the progeny of those whom We bore (in the Ark) with Noah (to protect them from the deluge)!´ He was indeed a grateful servant (of Ours). ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوح ٍ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ عَبْدا ً شَكُورا ً
Wa Qađaynā 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla Fī Al-Kitābi Latufsidunna Fī Al-'Arđi Marratayni Wa Lata`lunna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan َ017-004 And in the Scripture We have conveyed to the Children of Israel with certainty (saying), `Twice you shall create disorder in the land and shall surely become exceedingly overbearing and arrogant.´ وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَى بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوّا ً كَبِيرا ً
Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du 'Ūlāhumā Ba`athnā `Alaykum `Ibādāan Lanā 'Ūlī Ba'sin Shadīdin Fajāsū Khilāla Ad-Diyāri  ۚ  Wa Kāna Wa`dāan Maf`ūlāan َ017-005 So when (in 588 B.C. the time for) the first of the two warnings came, We roused against you, (O Children of Israel! some of) Our servants possessed of great valour and might in warfare, and they penetrated into the innermost recesses of your country and habitations. Indeed, it was a warning (about the punishment) of Allâh bound to be carried out. فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ أُولاَهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادا ً لَنَا أُولِي بَأْس ٍ شَدِيد ٍ فَجَاسُوا خِلاَلَ الدِّيَارِ  ۚ  وَكَانَ وَعْدا ً مَفْعُولا ً
Thumma Radadnā Lakumu Al-Karrata `Alayhim Wa 'Amdadnākum Bi'amwālin Wa Banīna Wa Ja`alnākum 'Akthara Nafīrāan َ017-006 Then We gave you back the power to prevail over these (enemies of yours through Cyrus and Zerubbabel), and We helped you with (various) possessions and sons and We increased your man-power (militarily). ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ الْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَاكُمْ بِأَمْوَال ٍ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيرا ً
'In 'Aĥsantum 'Aĥsantum Li'nfusikum  ۖ  Wa 'In 'Asa'tum Falahā  ۚ  Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Liyasū'ū Wujūhakum Wa Liyadkhulū Al-Masjida Kamā Dakhalūhu 'Awwala Marratin Wa Liyutabbirū Mā `Alaw Tatbīrāan َ017-007 (We said,) `If you did good, you did it for your ownselves, and if you did evil it was only to the same end.´ So when (the time for carrying out) the latter warning came (We raised certain other people - Romans under Titus in 70 A.D., against you to destroy your glory), so that they might do evil to (you and) your leading men and invade and enter the Mosque (at Jerusalem) in the same way as others (of your enemies) had invaded and entered it the first time, and so that they might destroy utterly all that they had conquered. إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأنفُسِكُمْ  ۖ  وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا  ۚ  فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوءُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ~ُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّة ٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا تَتْبِيرا ً
`Asá Rabbukum 'An Yarĥamakum  ۚ  Wa 'In `Udtum `Udnā  ۘ  Wa Ja`alnā Jahannama Lilkāfirīna Ĥaşīrāan َ017-008 Still it is well-nigh that your Lord will again have mercy on you, (through Islam) but if you return (to mischief, We warn,) We too will return (to Our punishment), We have made Gehenna a prison-house for the ungrateful. عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يَرْحَمَكُمْ  ۚ  وَإِنْ عُدْتُمْ عُدْنَا  ۘ  وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيرا ً
'Inna Hādhā Al-Qur'āna Yahdī Lillatī Hiya 'Aqwamu Wa Yubashshiru Al-Mu'uminīna Al-Ladhīna Ya`malūna Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Anna Lahum 'Ajrāan Kabīrāan َ017-009 This Qur´ân, assuredly, guides to that which is most upright and gives to the believers, who do righteous deeds, the glad tidings that there awaits them a great reward, إِنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرا ً كَبِيرا ً
Wa 'Anna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati 'A`tadnā Lahum `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan َ017-010 And (also warns) that We have grievous punishment in store for those who do not believe in the Hereafter. وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيما ً
Wa Yad`u Al-'Insānu Bish-Sharri Du`ā'ahu Bil-Khayri  ۖ  Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu `Ajūlāan َ017-011 As it is (many a time) a human being prays and calls for evil to himself as he ought to pray and call for good. Human being is ever extremely hasty. وَيَدْعُ الإِنسَانُ بِالشَّرِّ دُعَاءَه ُُ بِالْخَيْرِ  ۖ  وَكَانَ الإِنسَانُ عَجُولا ً
Wa Ja`alnā Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra 'Āyatayni  ۖ  Famaĥawnā 'Āyata Al-Layli Wa Ja`alnā 'Āyata An-Nahāri Mubşiratan Litabtaghū Fađlāan Min Rabbikum Wa Lita`lamū `Adada As-Sinīna Wa Al-Ĥisāba  ۚ  Wa Kulla Shay'in Faşşalnāhu Tafşīlāan َ017-012 And We have made the night and the day (such as they became) two signs, (in a way that) We obliterated the sign of the night (- darkness of ignorance and disbelief) and We displayed the sign of the day as sight - giving that you may seek the bounty of your Lord and that you may learn (from the alternation of night and day) the computation of years and (the science of) all sorts of counting and measuring. We have clearly explained every thing in detail. وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ آيَتَيْنِ  ۖ  فَمَحَوْنَا آيَةَ اللَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَا آيَةَ النَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَة ً لِتَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا ً مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَ  ۚ  وَكُلَّ شَيْء ٍ فَصَّلْنَاه ُُ تَفْصِيلا ً
Wa Kulla 'Insānin 'Alzamnāhu Ţā'irahu Fī `Unuqihi  ۖ  Wa Nukhriju Lahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Kitābāan Yalqāhu Manshūrāan َ017-013 And every human being We have made his deeds cling to his neck and on the Day of Resurrection We shall bring out for him a book (recording all his deeds) which he will find wide open. وَكُلَّ إِنسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاه ُُ طَائِرَه ُُ فِي عُنُقِه ِِ  ۖ  وَنُخْرِجُ لَه ُُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابا ً يَلْقَاه ُُ مَنشُورا ً
Aqra' Kitābaka Kafá Binafsika Al-Yawma `Alayka Ĥasībāan َ017-014 (It will be said to him,) `Read your book. Sufficient is your own conscience this day as a reckoner against you.´ اقْرَأْ كِتَابَكَ كَفَى بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبا ً
Mani Ahtadá Fa'innamā Yahtadī Linafsihi  ۖ  Wa Man Đalla Fa'innamā Yađillu `Alayhā  ۚ  Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukhrá  ۗ  Wa Mā Kunnā Mu`adhdhibīna Ĥattá Nab`atha Rasūlāan َ017-015 He who follows the right way follows it to his own good and he who goes astray, surely, he goes astray to his own loss. And no soul that bears the burden shall bear the burden of another. And We never punish unless We have sent a Messenger. مَنِ اهْتَدَى فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِه ِِ  ۖ  وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا  ۚ  وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَة ٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى  ۗ  وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّى نَبْعَثَ رَسُولا ً
Wa 'Idhā 'Aradnā 'An Nuhlika Qaryatan 'Amarnā Mutrafīhā Fafasaqū Fīhā Faĥaqqa `Alayhā Al-Qawlu Fadammarnāhā Tadmīrāan َ017-016 And when We intend to destroy a township, We (first) address Our command to its lawless people who lead lazy lives (to show obedience), but they revolt therein so that it stands condemned and We destroy it with an utter destruction. وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نُهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرا ً
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Mina Al-Qurūni Min Ba`di Nūĥin  ۗ  Wa Kafá Birabbika Bidhunūbi `Ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan َ017-017 (In accordance with this rule of Ours) We have destroyed many a generation after Noah. And your Lord suffices as One Who is Aware and Beholder of the sins of His servants. وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِنْ بَعْدِ نُوح ٍ  ۗ  وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِه ِِ خَبِيرا ً بَصِيرا ً
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-`Ājilata `Ajjalnā Lahu Fīhā Mā Nashā'u Liman Nurīdu Thumma Ja`alnā Lahu Jahannama Yaşlāhā Madhmūmāan Madĥūrāan َ017-018 For him who desires the present (transitory) life (only) We shall hasten an immediate reward for him in this very life (giving) what We will to whom We will. But We have prepared Gehenna for him, he shall enter it, condemned and rejected. مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَه ُُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ لِمَنْ نُرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَه ُُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلاَهَا مَذْمُوما ً مَدْحُورا ً
Wa Man 'Arāda Al-'Ākhirata Wa Sa`á Lahā Sa`yahā Wa Huwa Mu'uminun Fa'ūlā'ika Kāna Sa`yuhum Mashkūrāan َ017-019 As for those who choose the Hereafter and strive for it, the striving that is its due, and are believers, it is these whose striving shall find favour (with their Lord). وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الآخِرَةَ وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِن ٌ فَأُوْلَائِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُمْ مَشْكُورا ً
Kullāan Numiddu Hā'uulā' Wa Hā'uulā' Min `Aţā'i Rabbika  ۚ  Wa Mā Kāna `Aţā'u Rabbika Maĥžūrāan َ017-020 To all of them, these (who hanker after this world) as well as those (whose choice is the life to come) We render aid, (and this is) out of the bounty of your Lord; the bounty of your Lord is not confined (to any one section of the people). كُلاّ ً نُمِدُّ هَاؤُلاَء وَهَاؤُلاَء مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ  ۚ  وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورا ً
Anžur Kayfa Fađđalnā Ba`đahum `Alá Ba`đin  ۚ  Wa Lal'ākhiratu 'Akbaru Darajātin Wa 'Akbaru Tafđīlāan َ017-021 Behold! how We have exalted some of them over others (in the present life), yet the Hereafter holds out greater degrees of rank and (confers) greater merits and excellence. انظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ  ۚ  وَلَلآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَات ٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلا ً
Lā Taj`al Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fataq`uda Madhmūmāan Makhdhūlāan َ017-022 Do not set up another god with Allâh, lest you remain debased and forsaken. لاَ تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُوما ً مَخْذُولا ً
Wa Qađá Rabbuka 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā 'Īyāhu Wa Bil-Wālidayni 'Iĥsānāan  ۚ  'Immā Yablughanna `Indaka Al-Kibara 'Aĥaduhumā 'Aw Kilāhumā Falā Taqul Lahumā 'Uffin Wa Lā Tanharhumā Wa Qul Lahumā Qawlāan Karīmāan َ017-023 Your Lord has enjoined you to worship none but Him and to be good to parents. If either or both attain old age (while living) with you, never say to them, `Fie!´ (- any word expressive of disgust or dislike), nor reproach them (by your action). Rather address them with kind and respectful words (always). وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُوا إِلاَّ إِيَّاه ُُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانا ً  ۚ  إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفّ ٍ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَهُمَا قَوْلا ً كَرِيما ً
Wa Akhfiđ Lahumā Janāĥa Adh-Dhulli Mina Ar-Raĥmati Wa Qul Rrabbi Arĥamhumā Kamā Rabbayānī Şaghīrāan َ017-024 And lower to them the wings of submissiveness out of tenderness (treating them with humility and compassion). And say (praying for them), `My Lord! have mercy upon them just as they nourished and brought me up as a child.´ وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُلْ رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرا ً
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bimā Fī Nufūsikum  ۚ  'In Takūnū Şāliĥīna Fa'innahu Kāna Lil'awwābīna Ghafūrāan َ017-025 Your Lord knows very well what is in your minds. If (He will find that) you are righteous, surely, He is a great Protector of those who turn to Him (for forgiveness) again and again. رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ  ۚ  إِنْ تَكُونُوا صَالِحِينَ فَإِنَّه ُُ كَانَ لِلأَوَّابِينَ غَفُورا ً
Wa 'Āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli Wa Lā Tubadhdhir Tabdhīrāan َ017-026 And give to the near of kin and the needy, and the wayfarer their dues, and do not squander (your wealth) wastefully. وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَى حَقَّه ُُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلاَ تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرا ً
'Inna Al-Mubadhdhirīna Kānū 'Ikhwāna Ash-Shayāţīni  ۖ  Wa Kāna Ash-Shayţānu Lirabbihi Kafūrāan َ017-027 Certainly, the squanderers are like satans and satan is always ungrateful to his Lord. إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوا إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ  ۖ  وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِرَبِّه ِِ كَفُورا ً
Wa 'Immā Tu`riđanna `Anhumu Abtighā'a Raĥmatin Min Rabbika Tarjūhā Faqul Lahum Qawlāan Maysūrāan َ017-028 If you have to turn away from them seeking the mercy from your Lord that you hope for, even then speak to them a kind word. وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُلْ لَهُمْ قَوْلا ً مَيْسُورا ً
Wa Lā Taj`al Yadaka Maghlūlatan 'Ilá `Unuqika Wa Lā Tabsuţhā Kulla Al-Basţi Fataq`uda Malūmāan Maĥsūrāan َ017-029 And do not keep your hand shackled to your neck (out of miserliness), nor stretch it out to an entire stretching (extravagantly), lest you sit down reproached (incurring blame) and exhausted (on becoming penniless). وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَة ً إِلَى عُنُقِكَ وَلاَ تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُوما ً مَحْسُورا ً
'Inna Rabbaka Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan َ017-030 Surely, your Lord multiplies His provisions and means of livelihood for such of His people as He will and He measures it out (justly), for He is Well-Aware and Seeing of (the true needs of) His people inside out. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِه ِِ خَبِيرا ً بَصِيرا ً
Wa Lā Taqtulū 'Awlādakum Khashyata 'Imlāqin  ۖ  Naĥnu Narzuquhum Wa 'Īyākum  ۚ  'Inna Qatlahum Kāna Khiţ'āan Kabīrāan َ017-031 And do not kill your children for fear of want. It is We Who provide for them as well as for you. Indeed, the killing of them is a great sin. وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلاَدَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلاَق ٍ  ۖ  نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْئا ً كَبِيرا ً
Wa Lā Taqrabū Az-Ziná  ۖ  'Innahu Kāna Fāĥishatan Wa Sā'a Sabīlāan َ017-032 And Keep away from adultery and fornication; surely, it is an abominable act and an (extremely) evil practice. وَلاَ تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنَى  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ فَاحِشَة ً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلا ً
Wa Lā Taqtulū An-Nafsa Allatī Ĥarrama Al-Lahu 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi  ۗ  Wa Man Qutila Mažlūmāan Faqad Ja`alnā Liwalīyihi Sulţānāan Falā Yusrif Al-Qatli  ۖ  'Innahu Kāna Manşūrāan َ017-033 And do not kill anyone, the sanctity of which Allâh has upheld (and has forbidden you to slay) except for a just cause. And We have given, of course, to the heir of the person who is killed unjustly the right (to demand retribution or to forgive). But let him not exceed the (prescribed) limits in killing (the murderer) because he is indeed helped (and protected by law). وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ  ۗ  وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُوما ً فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّه ِِ سُلْطَانا ً فَلاَ يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ مَنصُورا ً
Wa Lā Taqrabū Māla Al-Yatīmi 'Illā Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu Ĥattá Yablugha 'Ashuddahu  ۚ  Wa 'Awfū Bil-`Ahdi  ۖ  'Inna Al-`Ahda Kāna Mas'ūan َ017-034 And go not near (to utilize) the property of an orphan, except in the fairest manner and intention (in favour of the orphan) until he attains his (age of) full strength, (when the property is to be returned to him,) and fulfill (your) agreements, (for every) agreement is certainly questioned about and has to be accounted for. وَلاَ تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّه ُُ  ۚ  وَأَوْفُوا بِالْعَهْدِ  ۖ  إِنَّ الْعَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْئُولا ً
Wa 'Awfū Al-Kayla 'Idhā Kiltum Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţāsi Al-Mustaqīmi  ۚ  Dhālika Khayrun Wa 'Aĥsanu Ta'wīlāan َ017-035 And give full measure when you measure out, and weigh with a right (and even) balance. That is best and most commendable in the long run. وَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ إِذَا كِلْتُمْ وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ خَيْر ٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلا ً
Wa Lā Taqfu Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun  ۚ  'Inna As-Sam`a Wa Al-Başara Wa Al-Fu'uāda Kullu 'Ūlā'ika Kāna `Anhu Mas'ūan َ017-036 And do not follow and utter that of which you have no knowledge. Surely, the ear and eye and the heart, all of these, shall be called upon to account (for it). وَلاَ تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ  ۚ  إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُوْلَائِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولا ً
Wa Lā Tamshi Fī Al-'Arđi Maraĥāan  ۖ  'Innaka Lan Takhriqa Al-'Arđa Wa Lan Tablugha Al-Jibāla Ţūlāan َ017-037 And do not walk haughtily in the land, for you cannot (thus) rend the earth asunder, nor can you match the mountains in height. وَلاَ تَمْشِ فِي الأَرْضِ مَرَحا ً  ۖ  إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَخْرِقَ الأَرْضَ وَلَنْ تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُولا ً
Kullu Dhālika Kāna Sayyi'uhu `Inda Rabbika Makrūhāan َ017-038 All these (doings) are such that the evil in them is simply hateful in the sight of your Lord. كُلُّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُه ُُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ مَكْرُوها ً
Dhālika Mimmā 'Awĥá 'Ilayka Rabbuka Mina Al-Ĥikmati  ۗ  Wa Lā Taj`al Ma`a Al-Lahi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fatulqá Fī Jahannama Malūmāan Madĥūrāan َ017-039 These (teachings) are a part of the wisdom which your Lord has revealed to you and (the basis of all these acts of righteousness is that you) set up no other god beside Allâh, lest you be cast into Gehenna condemned, rejected. ذَلِكَ مِمَّا أَوْحَى إِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ مِنَ الْحِكْمَةِ  ۗ  وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَها ً آخَرَ فَتُلْقَى فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَلُوما ً مَدْحُورا ً
'Afa'aşfākum Rabbukum Bil-Banīna Wa Attakhadha Mina Al-Malā'ikati 'Ināthāan  ۚ  'Innakum Lataqūlūna Qawlāan `Ažīmāan َ017-040 (Disbelievers!) has your Lord favoured you with sons and chosen for Himself daughters from among the angels? Surely, most grievous is the blasphemy you utter. أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنَاثا ً  ۚ  إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلاً عَظِيما ً
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Liyadhdhakkarū Wa Mā Yazīduhum 'Illā Nufūrāan َ017-041 And certainly, in this Qur´ân, We have explained (for the people the truth) in a variety of forms that they may take heed and become great. But (their condition is such that) it increases them only in aversion. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ نُفُورا ً
Qul Law Kāna Ma`ahu 'Ālihatun Kamā Yaqūlūna 'Idhāanbtaghaw 'Ilá Dhī Al-`Arshi Sabīlāan َ017-042 Say, `Had there been other gods as they allege beside Him (- the One God), in that case these (polytheists) would have certainly sought out (by their help) a way to the Lord of the Mighty throne. قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ مَعَهُ آلِهَة ٌ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذا ً لاَبْتَغَوْا إِلَى ذِي الْعَرْشِ سَبِيلا ً
Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yaqūlūna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan َ017-043 Glory be to Him! and far High indeed be He exalted above the things these (polytheists) say. سُبْحَانَه ُُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوّا ً كَبِيرا ً
Tusabbiĥu Lahu As-Samāwātu As-Sab`u Wa Al-'Arđu Wa Man Fīhinna  ۚ  Wa 'In Min Shay'in 'Illā Yusabbiĥu Biĥamdihi Wa Lakin Lā Tafqahūna Tasbīĥahum  ۗ  'Innahu Kāna Ĥalīmāan Ghafūrāan َ017-044 The seven heavens, the earth and all those inhabiting them extol His glory. Infact, there is not even a single thing but glorifies Him with His true and perfect praise, but you do not understand their glorification. Verily, Most Forbearing is He, Great Protector. تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ وَالأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ  ۚ  وَإِنْ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِه ِِ وَلَكِنْ لاَ تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ  ۗ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ حَلِيماً غَفُورا ً
Wa 'Idhā Qara'ta Al-Qur'āna Ja`alnā Baynaka Wa Bayna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Ĥijābāan Mastūrāan َ017-045 And when you recite the Qur´ân, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, an impregnable screen, وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ حِجَابا ً مَسْتُورا ً
Wa Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Akinnatan 'An Yafqahūhu Wa Fī 'Ādhānihim Waqrāan Wa 'Idhā  ۚ  Dhakarta Rabbaka Fī Al-Qur'āni Waĥdahu Wa Llaw `Alá 'Adrihim Nufūrāan َ017-046 And We cover their hearts with veils and plug their ears with something heavy, lest they should understand it. And when you mention the name of your Lord Who is the Only One, in the Qur´ân, they turn their backs (on it) in aversion. وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوه ُُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرا ً  ۚ  وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَه ُُ وَلَّوْا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورا ً
Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yastami`ūna Bihi 'Idh Yastami`ūna 'Ilayka Wa 'Idh Hum Najwá 'Idh Yaqūlu Až-Žālimūna 'In Tattabi`ūna 'Illā Rajulāan Masĥūrāan َ017-047 We know very well the purpose of their listening when they listen to you (and the purpose with which they confer) when they confer in private (and) when the unjust say, `You follow none but a man who is defrauded and deprived of reason.´ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُونَ بِهِ~ِ إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِذْ هُمْ نَجْوَى إِذْ يَقُولُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ رَجُلا ً مَسْحُورا ً
Anžur Kayfa Đarabū Laka Al-'Amthāla Fađallū Falā Yastaţī`ūna Sabīlāan َ017-048 Behold! how they coin similitudes to depict you, as a result of which they have gone astray; so they will not be able to find a way (of their salvation). انظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلا ً
Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamabthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan َ017-049 And they (also) say, `What! when we are reduced to bones and (that too) broken particles (of dust) shall we then be really raised again to a new life?´ وَقَالُوا أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَاما ً وَرُفَاتاً أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقا ً جَدِيدا ً
Qul Kūnū Ĥijāratan 'Aw Ĥadīdāan َ017-050 Say, `Yes, even if you be reduced to stones or iron, قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدا ً
'Aw Khalqāan Mimmā Yakburu Fī Şudūrikum  ۚ  Fasayaqūlūna Man Yu`īdunā  ۖ  Quli Al-Ladhī Faţarakum 'Awwala Marratin  ۚ  Fasayunghūna 'Ilayka Ru'ūsahum Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Huwa  ۖ  Qul `Asá 'An Yakūna Qarībāan َ017-051 `Or some other creation yet more hard (that you can possibly conceive) in your mind, (even then you shall be raised to a new life).´ Thereupon they will say, `Who will restore us (to life)?´ Say, `The same Who originated you the first time.´ At this, then, they will shake their heads at you (expressing wonder and disbelief in being raised) and will say, `When will it come to pass?´ Say, `May be it is near.´ أَوْ خَلْقا ً مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ  ۚ  فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا  ۖ  قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّة ٍ  ۚ  فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هُوَ  ۖ  قُلْ عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبا ً
Yawma Yad`ūkum Fatastajībūna Biĥamdihi Wa Tažunnūna 'In Labithtum 'Illā Qalīlāan َ017-052 (This promise will be fulfilled) on the day when He will call you forth, then you will respond (to Him) saying His praises and you will think that you have tarried (in the world) only for a little while. يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِه ِِ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً
Wa Qul Li`ibādī Yaqūlū Allatī Hiya 'Aĥsanu  ۚ  'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Yanzaghu Baynahum  ۚ  'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Kāna Lil'insāni `Adūwāan Mubīnāan َ017-053 And say to My servants that they should speak only what is gracious, for satan (is keen to) provoke discord among them. Satan indeed is an enemy to the people, disuniting (one another). وَقُلْ لِعِبَادِي يَقُولُوا الَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ  ۚ  إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلإِنسَانِ عَدُوّا ً مُبِينا ً
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bikum  ۖ  'In Yasha' Yarĥamkum 'Aw 'In Yasha' Yu`adhdhibkum  ۚ  Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka `Alayhim Wa Kīlāan َ017-054 Your Lord knows you best. He will have mercy on you if He will or He will punish you if He will. And We have not sent you to be a disposer of their affairs (authorising you to punish them or reward them). رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ  ۖ  إِنْ يَشَأْ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَوْ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ  ۚ  وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلا ً
Wa Rabbuka 'A`lamu Biman As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۗ  Wa Laqad Fađđalnā Ba`đa An-Nabīyīna `Alá Ba`đin  ۖ  Wa 'Ātaynā Dāwūda Zabūrāan َ017-055 And your Lord knows best those that are in the heavens and on the earth. And most surely We have exalted some of the Prophets above others, and it is We Who gave David the Zabûr (- the Psalms). وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۗ  وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَى بَعْض ٍ  ۖ  وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورا ً
Quli Ad Al-Ladhīna Za`amtum Min Dūnihi Falā Yamlikūna Kashfa Ađ-Đurri `Ankum Wa Lā Taĥwīlāan َ017-056 Say, `Call upon those whom you assert (to be gods) apart from Him, then (you will realize) they have no power to rid you of affliction nor to avert (it) or transfer it to others.´ قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ فَلاَ يَمْلِكُونَ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ عَنكُمْ وَلاَ تَحْوِيلا ً
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Yabtaghūna 'Ilá Rabbihimu Al-Wasīlata 'Ayyuhum 'Aqrabu Wa Yarjūna Raĥmatahu Wa Yakhāfūna `Adhābahu  ۚ  'Inna `Adhāba Rabbika Kāna Maĥdhūrāan َ017-057 Those whom they call upon (apart from Him, thinking them to be a means of gaining nearness to God,) themselves seek nearness to their Lord and solicit His favour (even) those of them who are nearest (to God are still competing to be closer to Him) and hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. As a matter of fact the punishment of your Lord is a thing to beware of. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَى رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَه ُُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ~ُ  ۚ  إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورا ً
Wa 'In Min Qaryatin 'Illā Naĥnu Muhlikūhā Qabla Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati 'Aw Mu`adhdhibūhā `Adhābāan Shadīdāan  ۚ  Kāna Dhālika Fī Al-Kitābi Masţūrāan َ017-058 And there is no township but We shall destroy it or We shall subject it to a severe chastisement before the Day of Resurrection. That is written down in the book (- in the knowledge of God). وَإِنْ مِنْ قَرْيَة ٍ إِلاَّ نَحْنُ مُهْلِكُوهَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابا ً شَدِيدا ً  ۚ  كَانَ ذَلِكَ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورا ً
Wa Mā Mana`anā 'An Nursila Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā 'An Kadhdhaba Bihā Al-'Awwalūna  ۚ  Wa 'Ātaynā Thamūda An-Nāqata Mubşiratan Fažalamū Bihā  ۚ  Wa Mā Nursilu Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā Takhwīfāan َ017-059 And nothing could prevent Us from going on sending (Our) signs though the former people cried lies to them. And We gave to Thamûd the she-camel as an enlightenment and an eye opener, but they dealt with her unjustly. And We do not send (Our) signs except to warn the people (against the evil consequences of disbelief and transgression). وَمَا مَنَعَنَا أَنْ نُرْسِلَ بِالآيَاتِ إِلاَّ أَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهَا الأَوَّلُونَ  ۚ  وَآتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَة ً فَظَلَمُوا بِهَا  ۚ  وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالآيَاتِ إِلاَّ تَخْوِيفا ً
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Laka 'Inna Rabbaka 'Aĥāţa Bin-Nāsi  ۚ  Wa Mā Ja`alnā Ar-Ru'uyā Allatī 'Araynāka 'Illā Fitnatan Lilnnāsi Wa Ash-Shajarata Al-Mal`ūnata Fī Al-Qur'āni  ۚ  Wa Nukhawwifuhum Famā Yazīduhum 'Illā Ţughyānāan Kabīrāan َ017-060 And (Prophet! recall the time) when We said to you, `Surely, your Lord has encompassed all people (for destruction) and has power over them (still they remained indifferent).´ We made the vision which We showed you (being carried to Jerusalem from Makkah by night) and also the tree (- evil word; see 14:26) disapproved of in the Qur´ân, a means of distinction between the good and the bad for the people. (Despite the fact that) We have been warning them (by sending Our signs), this (warning from Us) only leads them to unrestrained inordinacy. وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ  ۚ  وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَة ً لِلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ  ۚ  وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ طُغْيَانا ً كَبِيرا ً
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Lilmalā'ikati Asjudū Li'dama Fasajadū 'Illā 'Iblīsa Qāla 'A'asjudu Liman Khalaqta Ţīnāan َ017-061 And (recall the time) when We said to the angels, `Submit to Adam!´ Then they all submitted. But Iblîs (who too was told to do the same, did not), he said, `Shall I submit to one whom You have created out of clay?´ وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِأدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينا ً
Qāla 'Ara'aytaka Hādhā Al-Ladhī Karramta `Alayya La'in 'Akhkhartanī 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati La'aĥtanikanna Dhurrīyatahu 'Illā Qalīlāan َ017-062 And he added, `What do You think? This is he whom You have honoured and placed above me. If You grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection, I will most certainly bring his progeny under my sway, having overpowered them, I shall destroy them for sure, except a few.´ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً
Qāla Adh/hab Faman Tabi`aka Minhum Fa'inna Jahannama Jazā'uukum Jazā'an Mawfūrāan َ017-063 `Be gone!´ said He; `As for those of them who follow you, Gehenna is the recompense of you all, an ample recompense. قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَاؤُكُمْ جَزَاء ً مَوْفُورا ً
Wa Astafziz Mani Astaţa`ta Minhum Bişawtika Wa 'Ajlib `Alayhim Bikhaylika Wa Rajilika Wa Shārik/hum Al-'Amwli Wa Al-'Awlādi Wa `Id/hum  ۚ  Wa Mā Ya`iduhumu Ash-Shayţānu 'Illā Ghurūrāan َ017-064 `And beguile whomsoever of them you can with your speech and rally your horsemen against them, and your foot men (- fast riders and slow walkers in disobedience, with all your might) and share with them their wealth and children and hold out promises to them (what you like).´ Indeed, satan promises them nothing but mere fraud. وَاسْتَفْزِزْ مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ مِنْهُمْ بِصَوْتِكَ وَأَجْلِبْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِخَيْلِكَ وَرَجِلِكَ وَشَارِكْهُمْ فِي الأَمْوالِ وَالأَولاَدِ وَعِدْهُمْ  ۚ  وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلاَّ غُرُورا ً
'Inna `Ibādī Laysa Laka `Alayhim Sulţānun  ۚ  Wa Kafá Birabbika Wa Kīlāan َ017-065 `As to My true servants, you shall have certainly no authority over them. And sufficient is your Lord as Disposer of affairs.´ إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَان ٌ  ۚ  وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ وَكِيلا ً
Rabbukumu Al-Ladhī Yuzjī Lakumu Al-Fulka Fī Al-Baĥri Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna Bikum Raĥīmāan َ017-066 Your Lord is He Who drives the ships on the sea for you that you may seek of His bounty. He is certainly Ever Merciful to you. رَبُّكُمُ الَّذِي يُزْجِي لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ فِي الْبَحْرِ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيما ً
Wa 'Idhā Massakumu Ađ-Đurru Fī Al-Baĥri Đalla Man Tad`ūna 'Illā 'Īyāhu  ۖ  Falammā Najjākum 'Ilá Al-Barri 'A`rađtum  ۚ  Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Kafūrāan َ017-067 And when you encounter some distress on the sea, (at that time all) those (gods) whom you call upon are lost (to you), but not He. Yet when He brings you safe to the land, you turn away (from Him). Of course, such a person is very ungrateful. وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَنْ تَدْعُونَ إِلاَّ إِيَّاه ُُ  ۖ  فَلَمَّا نَجَّاكُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ  ۚ  وَكَانَ الإِنْسَانُ كَفُورا ً
'Afa'amintum 'An Yakhsifa Bikum Jāniba Al-Barri 'Aw Yursila `Alaykum Ĥāşibāan Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum Wa Kīlāan َ017-068 Do you then feel secure that He will not humiliate you in the side of the land and make you sink (in the earth on the side of) the shore, or send against you a violent squall of pebbles. For (if He does) you shall find none responsible to protect and help you. أَفَأَمِنتُمْ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمْ جَانِبَ الْبَرِّ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبا ً ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ وَكِيلا ً
'Am 'Amintum 'An Yu`īdakum Fīhi Tāratan 'Ukhrá Fayursila `Alaykum Qāşifāan Mina Ar-Rīĥi Fayughriqakum Bimā Kafartum  ۙ  Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum `Alaynā Bihi Tabī`āan َ017-069 Or do you feel secure and have made sure that He will (not) send you back in it (- the sea) a second time (and) then send against you a fierce storm blast and drown you because of your ingratitude, for (if He does), you will find no helper in the matter for yourselves to protect you against Us. أَمْ أَمِنتُمْ أَنْ يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيه ِِ تَارَةً أُخْرَى فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفا ً مِنَ الرِّيحِ فَيُغْرِقَكُمْ بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ  ۙ  ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِه ِِ تَبِيعا ً
Wa Laqad Karramnā Banī 'Ādama Wa Ĥamalnāhum Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Kathīrin Mimman Khalaqnā Tafđīlāan َ017-070 And most surely We have made the Children of Adam greatly honoured and have carried them over land and sea, and We have provided them with good and pure things and have distinctly exalted them far above most of Our creation. وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى كَثِير ٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلا ً
Yawma Nad`ū Kulla 'Unāsin Bi'imāmihim  ۖ  Faman 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Fa'ūlā'ika Yaqra'ūna Kitābahum Wa Lā Yužlamūna Fatīlāan َ017-071 (Beware of) the day when We shall call all people along with their leaders. Now whoever is given his book (- recording his deeds) in his right hand, such will read their book (eagerly) and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least. يَوْمَ نَدْعُو كُلَّ أُنَاس ٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ  ۖ  فَمَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَه ُُ بِيَمِينِه ِِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلا ً
Wa Man Kāna Fī Hadhihi 'A`má Fahuwa Fī Al-'Ākhirati 'A`má Wa 'Ađallu Sabīlāan َ017-072 But whoever remained (spiritually) blind in this world shall also be blind in the Hereafter. Rather he will be even farther removed from the right path. وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي هَذِهِ~ِ أَعْمَى فَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ أَعْمَى وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلا ً
Wa 'In Kādū Layaftinūnaka `Ani Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Litaftariya `Alaynā Ghayrahu  ۖ  Wa 'Idhāan Lāttakhadhūka Khalīlāan َ017-073 And they had spared nothing in causing you (the severest) affliction with the purpose to turn you away from the revelations given to you, that you might forge in Our name something different from that which We have revealed to you. In that case they would surely have taken you for a special friend. وَإِنْ كَادُوا لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِيَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَه ُُ  ۖ  وَإِذا ً لاَتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلا ً
Wa Lawlā 'An Thabbatnāka Laqad Kidtta Tarkanu 'Ilayhim Shay'āan Qalīlāan َ017-074 And if We had not made you firm and steadfast, you might have inclined towards them a little. وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ ثَبَّتْنَاكَ لَقَدْ كِدْتَّ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئا ً قَلِيلا ً
'Idhāan La'adhaqnāka Đi`fa Al-Ĥayāati Wa Đi`fa Al-Mamāti Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka `Alaynā Naşīrāan َ017-075 In that case (if you had been one to forge a lie against Us) We would have made you taste multiple sufferings in this life and multiple sufferings in death, (and) then you would have found for yourself no helper against Us. (But you remained steadfast). إِذا ً لَأَذَقْنَاكَ ضِعْفَ الْحَيَاةِ وَضِعْفَ الْمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيْنَا نَصِيرا ً
Wa 'In Kādū Layastafizzūnaka Mina Al-'Arđi Liyukhrijūka Minhā  ۖ  Wa 'Idhāan Lā Yalbathūna Khilāfaka 'Illā Qalīlāan َ017-076 They had spared nothing in unsettling you from the land (of Makkah), that they might drive you out from it. But in that case they (themselves) would not have stayed after you except for a little while. وَإِنْ كَادُوا لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجُوكَ مِنْهَا  ۖ  وَإِذا ً لاَ يَلْبَثُونَ خِلاَفَكَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً
Sunnata Man Qad 'Arsalnā Qablaka Min Rusulinā  ۖ  Wa Lā Tajidu Lisunnatinā Taĥwīlāan َ017-077 Such (has been Our) practice with those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you and you will find no change in Our practice. سُنَّةَ مَنْ قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا  ۖ  وَلاَ تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلا ً
'Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Lidulūki Ash-Shamsi 'Ilá Ghasaqi Al-Layli Wa Qur'āna Al-Fajri  ۖ  'Inna Qur'āna Al-Fajri Kāna Mash/hūdāan َ017-078 Observe Prayer at the declining and paling of the sun, on to the complete darkness (in diverse hours) of the night, and recite the Qur´ân at dawn. Verily, the regular recital (of the Qur´ân) at dawn is (specially) acceptable (to God) and witnessed (by the angels). أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ  ۖ  إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودا ً
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fatahajjad Bihi Nāfilatan Laka `Asá 'An Yab`athaka Rabbuka Maqāmāan Maĥmūdāan َ017-079 And remain awake for it (- the recitation of the Qur´ân and Prayer) for a part of the night after having risen from sleep as a supererogatory service for you. Thus it may be that your Lord will raise you to a laudable exalted position. وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِه ِِ نَافِلَة ً لَكَ عَسَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَاما ً مَحْمُودا ً
Wa Qul Rabbi 'Adkhilnī Mudkhala Şidqin Wa 'Akhrijnī Mukhraja Şidqin Wa Aj`al Lī Min Ladunka Sulţānāan Naşīrāan َ017-080 And say (in Prayer), `My Lord, grant that when I enter (wherever you take me to while migrating) I enter with truth (in every way) and when I depart, I depart with truth, and grant me by Your grace authoritative help (which should sustain me in my activities).´ وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْق ٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْق ٍ وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانا ً نَصِيرا ً
Wa Qul Jā'a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Zahaqa Al-Bāţilu  ۚ  'Inna Al-Bāţila Kāna Zahūqāan َ017-081 And say, `Truth has come and falsehood has vanished away.´ Falsehood is indeed ever bound to vanish away. وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ  ۚ  إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقا ً
Wa Nunazzilu Mina Al-Qur'āni Mā Huwa Shifā'un Wa Raĥmatun Lilmu'uminīna  ۙ  Wa Lā Yazīdu Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Khasārāan َ017-082 And We are gradually revealing of the Qur´ân (that teaching) which is (the cause of) healing and mercy for the believers. But this (revelation) only leads the unjust persons from loss to loss. وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاء ٌ وَرَحْمَة ٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  ۙ  وَلاَ يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلاَّ خَسَارا ً
Wa 'Idhā 'An`amnā `Alá Al-'Insāni 'A`rađa Wa Na'á Bijānibihi  ۖ  Wa 'Idhā Massahu Ash-Sharru Kāna Ya'ūan َ017-083 And when We bestow favours on a human being, he turns away and withdraws himself aside, but when evil overtakes him he is given to despair. وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الإِنسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَى بِجَانِبِه ِِ  ۖ  وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَئُوسا ً
Qul Kullun Ya`malu `Alá Shākilatihi Farabbukum 'A`lamu Biman Huwa 'Ahdá Sabīlāan َ017-084 Say, `Everyone acts after his own way and fashion and your Lord knows very well who is best guided in the right path.´ قُلْ كُلّ ٌ يَعْمَلُ عَلَى شَاكِلَتِه ِِ فَرَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ أَهْدَى سَبِيلا ً
Wa Yas'alūnaka `Ani Ar-Rūĥi  ۖ  Quli Ar-Rūĥu Min 'Amri Rabbī Wa Mā 'Ūtītum Mina Al-`Ilmi 'Illā Qalīlāan َ017-085 And they question you about the revelation, and the human soul. say, `The revelation and the soul is by the command of my Lord, (because) little is the knowledge there of that you have been given.´ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ  ۖ  قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً
Wa La'in Shi'nā Lanadh/habanna Bial-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka Bihi `Alaynā Wa Kīlāan َ017-086 Had We so willed We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you. If We did so you could find none to plead your cause (to restore it to you) against Our will. وَلَئِنْ شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُ لَكَ بِه ِِ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلا ً
'Illā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika  ۚ  'Inna Fađlahu Kāna `Alayka Kabīrāan َ017-087 But (it is) the special mercy from your Lord (that He will not do so); His grace and favour upon you is very great infact. إِلاَّ رَحْمَة ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ  ۚ  إِنَّ فَضْلَه ُُ كَانَ عَلَيْكَ كَبِيرا ً
Qul La'ini Ajtama`ati Al-'Insu Wa Al-Jinnu `Alá 'An Ya'tū Bimithli Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Lā Ya'tūna Bimithlihi Wa Law Kāna Ba`đuhum Liba`đin Žahīrāan َ017-088 Say, `If there should join together all human beings and the jinn to produce the like of this Qur´ân, they would never be able to produce anything like it, even though some of them might be the helpers of others.´ قُلْ لَئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى أَنْ يَأْتُوا بِمِثْلِ هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ لاَ يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِه ِِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْض ٍ ظَهِيرا ً
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin Fa'abá 'Aktharu An-Nāsi 'Illā Kufūrāan َ017-089 And in this Qur´ân We have explained in various ways and forms every kind of rare things of exquisite beauty to mankind but most people choose to reject everything except (following the way of) disbelief. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَل ٍ فَأَبَى أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلاَّ كُفُورا ً
Wa Qālū Lan Nu'umina Laka Ĥattá Tafjura Lanā Mina Al-'Arđi Yanbū`āan َ017-090 And they say, `We will never believe unless you cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth, وَقَالُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّى تَفْجُرَ لَنَا مِنَ الأَرْضِ يَنْبُوعا ً
'Aw Takūna Laka Jannatun Min Nakhīlin Wa `Inabin Fatufajjira Al-'Anhāra Khilālahā Tafjīrāan َ017-091 `Or there be a garden of date-palms and vines for you, and you cause the streams to gush forth abundantly in its midst, أَوْ تَكُونَ لَكَ جَنَّة ٌ مِنْ نَخِيل ٍ وَعِنَب ٍ فَتُفَجِّرَ الأَنهَارَ خِلاَلَهَا تَفْجِيرا ً
'Aw Tusqiţa As-Samā'a Kamā Za`amta `Alaynā Kisafāan 'Aw Ta'tiya Bil-Lahi Wa Al-Malā'ikati Qabīlāan َ017-092 `Or, as you assert (and claim that it shall happen), cause the heaven to fall down upon us in fragments, or bring Allâh and the angels face to face with us, أَوْ تُسْقِطَ السَّمَاءَ كَمَا زَعَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفاً أَوْ تَأْتِيَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ قَبِيلا ً
'Aw Yakūna Laka Baytun Min Zukhrufin 'Aw Tarqá Fī As-Samā'i Wa Lan Nu'umina Liruqīyika Ĥattá Tunazzila `Alaynā Kitābāan Naqra'uuhu  ۗ  Qul Subĥāna Rabbī Hal Kuntu 'Illā Basharāan Rasūlāan َ017-093 `Or, there be a house made of gold for you, or you ascend into the heaven; but we will not believe in your ascending till you bring down to us a book that we can read.´ (Say), `Glory be to my Lord! I am not but a human being (sent as) a Messenger.´ أَوْ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيْت ٌ مِنْ زُخْرُفٍ أَوْ تَرْقَى فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّى تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابا ً نَقْرَؤُه ُُ  ۗ  قُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي هَلْ كُنتُ إِلاَّ بَشَرا ً رَسُولا ً
Wa Mā Mana`a An-Nāsa 'An Yu'uminū 'Idh Jā'ahumu Al-Hudá 'Illā 'An Qālū 'Aba`atha Al-Lahu Basharāan Rasūlāan َ017-094 And nothing has prevented the people from believing when the guidance came to them except their sayings, `Has Allâh raised a human being (like us) as a Messenger?´ وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَى إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا أَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ بَشَرا ً رَسُولا ً
Qul Law Kāna Fī Al-'Arđi Malā'ikatun Yamshūna Muţma'innīna Lanazzalnā `Alayhim Mina As-Samā'i Malakāan Rasūlāan َ017-095 Say, `Had there been angels on the earth (in place of human beings) walking about secure and sound We (too) would have invariably sent down an angel from heaven as a Messenger to them.´ قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ فِي الأَرْضِ مَلاَئِكَة ٌ يَمْشُونَ مُطْمَئِنِّينَ لَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَلَكا ً رَسُولا ً
Qul Kafá Bil-Lahi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum  ۚ  'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan َ017-096 Say, `Allâh suffices as a witness between me and you. Surely, He is Ever Aware of and sees His servants full well.´ قُلْ كَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدا ً بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِه ِِ خَبِيرا ً بَصِيرا ً
Wa Man Yahdi Al-Lahu Fahuwa Al-Muhtadi  ۖ  Wa Man Yuđlil Falan Tajida Lahum 'Awliyā'a Min Dūnihi  ۖ  Wa Naĥshuruhum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati `Alá Wajūhihim `Umyāan Wa Bukmāan Wa Şummāan  ۖ  Ma'wāhum Jahannamu  ۖ  Kullamā Khabat Zidnāhum Sa`īrāan َ017-097 He whom Allâh guides (to the straight and right path) is the only one rightly guided, but those whom He abandons to perish, you will find no protecting friends for them apart from Him. And We shall gather them on the Day of Resurrection (dragging them) on their faces. They shall be blind, dumb and deaf. Gehenna is their resort. As often as it (- the flames of the Hell-fire) abate, We shall add (fuel) to the blaze for them. وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ  ۖ  وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ  ۖ  وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى وَجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيا ً وَبُكْما ً وَصُمّا ً  ۖ  مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ  ۖ  كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَعِيرا ً
Dhālika Jazā'uuhum Bi'annahum Kafarū Bi'āyātinā Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamabthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan َ017-098 Such shall be their recompense because they rejected Our commandments and said, `Shall we really be raised up as a new creation when (after our death) we are reduced to mere bones and broken particles (of dust). ذَلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالُوا أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَاما ً وَرُفَاتاً أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقا ً جَدِيدا ً
'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Al-Laha Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Qādirun `Alá 'An Yakhluqa Mithlahum Wa Ja`ala Lahum 'Ajalāan Lā Rayba Fīhi Fa'abá Až-Žālimūna 'Illā Kufūrāan َ017-099 Have they not seen that Allâh, Who created the heavens and the earth, has the power to create their like? And He has appointed for them a term, no doubt about it. Yet the unjust would reject everything except (following in the way of) disbelief. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَهُمْ أَجَلا ً لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ فَأَبَى الظَّالِمُونَ إِلاَّ كُفُورا ً
Qul Law 'Antum Tamlikūna Khazā'ina Raĥmati Rabbī 'Idhāan La'amsaktum Khashyata Al-'Infāqi  ۚ  Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Qatūrāan َ017-100 Say, `Even if you possessed all the treasures of the mercy and blessings of my Lord yet you would hold (them) back for fear of depleting, for a human being is very niggardly indeed.´ قُلْ لَوْ أَنتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَائِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّي إِذا ً لَأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ الإِنفَاقِ  ۚ  وَكَانَ الإِنْسَانُ قَتُورا ً
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Tis`a 'Āyātin Bayyinātin  ۖ  Fās'l Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Idh Jā'ahum Faqāla Lahu Fir`awnu 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yāmūsá Masĥūrāan َ017-101 And most certainly, We gave Moses nine clear signs. So ask the Children of Israel (about it). When he (- Moses) came to them, Pharaoh said to him, `Moses! I think you to be under a spell and a victim of deception.´ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى تِسْعَ آيَات ٍ بَيِّنَات ٍ  ۖ  فَاسْألْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَه ُُ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَامُوسَى مَسْحُورا ً
Qāla Laqad `Alimta Mā 'Anzala Hā'uulā' 'Illā Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Başā'ira Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yā Fir`awnu Mathbūrāan َ017-102 He said, `You know fully well that none other but the Lord of the heavens and the earth has revealed these signs as (means of) enlightenment. Surely, I believe you, O Pharaoh! to be doomed to perish.´ قَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا أَنزَلَ هَاؤُلاَء إِلاَّ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ بَصَائِرَ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَافِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورا ً
Fa'arāda 'An Yastafizzahum Mina Al-'Arđi Fa'aghraqnāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Jamī`āan َ017-103 So he resolved to weaken them by humiliating them in and thus scare them out of the country; but We drowned him and those with him, one and all. فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَفِزَّهُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ فَأَغْرَقْنَاه ُُ وَمَنْ مَعَه ُُ جَمِيعا ً
Wa Qulnā Min Ba`dihi Libanī 'Isrā'īla Askunū Al-'Arđa Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Ji'nā Bikum Lafīfāan َ017-104 And We said after (it was all over with Pharaoh), to the Children of Israel, `Settle down occupying the (promised) land (of Palestine). When the time of fulfillment of the second Prophecy comes, We shall bring you back gathering you (from various lands).´ وَقُلْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اسْكُنُوا الأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفا ً
Wa Bil-Ĥaqqi 'Anzalnāhu Wa Bil-Ĥaqqi Nazala  ۗ  Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka 'Illā Mubashshirāan Wa Nadhīrāan َ017-105 We revealed it (- the Qur´ân) to suit all the requirement of truth and wisdom and it has come down (to you) with truth and wisdom. (Prophet!) We have sent you (on one hand) as a Bearer of good tidings and as a Warner (on the other). وَبِالْحَقِّ أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ  ۗ  وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرا ً وَنَذِيرا ً
Wa Qur'ānāan Faraqnāhu Litaqra'ahu `Alá An-Nāsi `Alá Mukthin Wa Nazzalnāhu Tanzīlāan َ017-106 We have divided this Qur´ân into distinct chapters and have revealed it in stages that you may recite it to mankind at intervals and (that is why) We have revealed it piece by piece, and in stages. وَقُرْآنا ً فَرَقْنَاه ُُ لِتَقْرَأَه ُُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَى مُكْث ٍ وَنَزَّلْنَاه ُُ تَنزِيلا ً
Qul 'Āminū Bihi 'Aw Lā Tu'uminū  ۚ  'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ū Al-`Ilma Min Qablihi 'Idhā Yutlá `Alayhim Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Sujjadāan َ017-107 Say, `You may believe in it (- the Qur´ân) or you may not believe, those who have been given the (spiritual) knowledge before it (- its revelation) fall down on their faces prostrating submissively (before their Lord) when it is recited to them.´ قُلْ آمِنُوا بِهِ~ِ أَوْ لاَ تُؤْمِنُوا  ۚ  إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ~ِ إِذَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدا ً
Wa Yaqūlūna Subĥāna Rabbinā 'In Kāna Wa`du Rabbinā Lamaf`ūlāan َ017-108 And they say, `Glory be to Our Lord! The promise of our Lord is really bound to be fulfilled.´ وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا إِنْ كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولا ً
Wa Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Yabkūna Wa Yazīduhum Khushū`āan َ017-109 They fall down on their faces weeping and (as they listen to the divine words) it adds to their humility. [Prostration] وَيَخِرُّونَ لِلأَذْقَانِ يَبْكُونَ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ خُشُوعا ً
Qul Ad Al-Laha 'Aw Ad Ar-Raĥmana  ۖ  'Ayyāanan Mmā Tad`ū Falahu Al-'Asmā'u Al-Ĥusná  ۚ  Wa Lā Tajhar Bişalātika Wa Lā Tukhāfit Bihā Wa Abtaghi Bayna Dhālika Sabīlāan َ017-110 Say, `Call upon (Him by the name of) Allâh or call upon (Him by the name of) Al-Rahmân (the Most Gracious). (In short) call upon Him by whichsoever name you like, all beautiful names belong to Him (- the One God). And utter not your prayer in a loud voice nor utter it in too low tones (completely concealing it) but seek a middle course.´ قُلْ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوْ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَنَ  ۖ  أَيّاً ً مَّا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى  ۚ  وَلاَ تَجْهَرْ بِصَلاَتِكَ وَلاَ تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلا ً
Wa Quli Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī Lam Yattakhidh Waladāan Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Sharīkun Al-Mulki Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Wa Līyun Mina Adh-Dhulli  ۖ  Wa Kabbirhu Takbīrāan َ017-111 And say, `All true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh Who has not taken to Himself a son, and Who has no associate-partner in His kingdom, nor has He any helper because of any weakness. And extol His glory with repeated glorification.´ وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدا ً وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَه ُُ شَرِيك ٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَه ُُ وَلِيّ ٌ مِنَ الذُّلِّ  ۖ  وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرا ً
