18) سُورَة الكَهف

Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Al-Ladhī 'Anzala `Alá `Abdihi Al-Kitāba Wa Lam Yaj`al Llahu `Iwajā َ018-001 All type of true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh Who has revealed this perfect Book to His servant, and has not assigned to it any crookedness. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ الْكِتَابَ وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ لَّه ُُ عِوَجَا
Qayyimāan Liyundhira Ba'sāan Shadīdāan Min Ladunhu Wa Yubashshira Al-Mu'uminīna Al-Ladhīna Ya`malūna Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Anna Lahum 'Ajrāan Ĥasanāan َ018-002 (He has made it) rightly directing, that it may warn (the disbelievers) of a severe calamity (coming) from Him and that it may give good tidings to the believers who do deeds of righteousness, that there awaits them a (place of) goodly reward, قَيِّما ً لِيُنذِرَ بَأْسا ً شَدِيدا ً مِنْ لَدُنْهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْراً حَسَنا ً
Mākithīna Fīhi 'Abadāan َ018-003 Wherein they shall stay for ever. مَاكِثِينَ فِيهِ~ِ أَبَدا ً
Wa Yundhira Al-Ladhīna Qālū Attakhadha Al-Lahu Waladāan َ018-004 And that it may warn those who say, `Allâh has begotten a son.´ وَيُنذِرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدا ً
Mmā Lahum Bihi Min `Ilmin Wa Lā Li'ābā'ihim  ۚ  Kaburat Kalimatan Takhruju Min 'Afwāhihim  ۚ  'In Yaqūlūna 'Illā Kadhibāan َ018-005 (This is absolutely wrong.) They have no real knowledge of Him, nor (had) their fathers. Grievous is the word that comes out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie. مَّا لَهُمْ بِه ِِ مِنْ عِلْم ٍ وَلاَ لِآبَائِهِمْ  ۚ  كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَة ً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ  ۚ  إِنْ يَقُولُونَ إِلاَّ كَذِبا ً
Fala`allaka Bākhi`un Nafsaka `Alá 'Āthārihim 'In Lam Yu'uminū Bihadhā Al-Ĥadīthi 'Asafāan َ018-006 Will you worry yourself to death sorrowing after them, if they do not believe in this (great) discourse (- the Qur´ân). فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِع ٌ نَفْسَكَ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ إِنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَسَفا ً
'Innā Ja`alnā Mā `Alá Al-'Arđi Zīnatan Lahā Linabluwahum 'Ayyuhum 'Aĥsanu `Amalāan َ018-007 Verily, We have made all that is on the earth as an embellishment for it, that We may try them as to which of them is the most excellent in (respect of) performing the noblest deeds. إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى الأَرْضِ زِينَة ً لَهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلا ً
Wa 'Innā Lajā`ilūna Mā `Alayhā Şa`īdāan Juruzāan َ018-008 Yet it is We Who shall (one day) reduce all that is on it to a barren soil. وَإِنَّا لَجَاعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدا ً جُرُزا ً
'Am Ĥasibta 'Anna 'Aşĥāba Al-Kahfi Wa Ar-Raqīmi Kānū Min 'Āyātinā `Ajabāan َ018-009 Do you think that the People of the Place of Refuge and of the Inscriptions were a wonder among Our signs. أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَبا ً
'Idh 'Awá Al-Fityatu 'Ilá Al-Kahfi Faqālū Rabbanā 'Ātinā Min Ladunka Raĥmatan Wa Hayyi' Lanā Min 'Amrinā Rashadāan َ018-010 (Recall the time) when the young men betook themselves to the Place of Refuge and said (in prayer), `Our Lord! grant us mercy from Yourself and provide for us right course in our affair (setting all things right for us).´ إِذْ أَوَى الْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى الْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَة ً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدا ً
Fađarabnā `Alá 'Ādhānihim Al-Kahfi Sinīna `Adadāan َ018-011 So We sealed up their ears (to cut them off from the outside world) in their Place of Refuge for (only) a number of years. فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَى آذَانِهِمْ فِي الْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدا ً
Thumma Ba`athnāhum Lina`lama 'Ayyu Al-Ĥizbayni 'Aĥşá Limā Labithū 'Amadāan َ018-012 Then We raised them up (for making certain efforts) that We might distinguish as to which of the two groups had made better use of the time they had stayed there according to its rightful requirement. ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَيُّ الْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَى لِمَا لَبِثُوا أَمَدا ً
Naĥnu Naquşşu `Alayka Naba'ahum Bil-Ĥaqqi  ۚ  'Innahum Fityatun 'Āmanū Birabbihim Wa Zidnāhum Hudáan َ018-013 We relate to you their true story. They were a few young men who believed in their Lord and whom We had led from guidance to guidance. نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَة ٌ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَاهُمْ هُدى ً
Wa Rabaţnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Idh Qāmū Faqālū Rabbunā Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Lan Nad`uwa Min Dūnihi 'Ilahāan  ۖ  Laqad Qulnā 'Idhāan Shaţaţāan َ018-014 And We strengthened their hearts when they stood up (in the cause of God) and (said), `Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never shall we call upon any god apart from Him (for in that case) we would certainly be uttering a preposterous thing far from the truth. وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا فَقَالُوا رَبُّنَا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لَنْ نَدْعُوَ مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ إِلَها ً  ۖ  لَقَدْ قُلْنَا إِذا ً شَطَطا ً
Hā'uulā' Qawmunā Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi 'Ālihatan  ۖ  Lawlā Ya'tūna `Alayhim Bisulţānin Bayyinin  ۖ  Faman 'Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan َ018-015 `These people of ours have taken to them (for worship) other gods apart from Him. Why do they not bring any clear proof and authority in support (of their belief). (Infact they have no such proof,) Who can be more unjust than the person who forges a lie against Allâh?´ هَاؤُلاَء قَوْمُنَا اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِهِ آلِهَة ً  ۖ  لَوْلاَ يَأْتُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِسُلْطَان ٍ بَيِّن ٍ  ۖ  فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبا ً
Wa 'Idh A`tazaltumūhum Wa Mā Ya`budūna 'Illā Al-Laha Fa'wū 'Ilá Al-Kahfi Yanshur Lakum Rabbukum Min Raĥmatihi Wa Yuhayyi' Lakum Min 'Amrikum Mirfaqāan َ018-016 (They said one to another), `So (now) when you have left them and that which they worship apart from Allâh, you should take shelter in the Place of Refuge. (If you do so) your Lord will extend to you His mercy and will provide some ease for you in (this) affair of yours.´ وَإِذْ اعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلاَّ اللَّهَ فَأْوُوا إِلَى الْكَهْفِ يَنشُرْ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِه ِِ وَيُهَيِّئْ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِكُمْ مِرفَقا ً
Wa Tará Ash-Shamsa 'Idhā Ţala`at Tazāwaru `An Kahfihim Dhāta Al-Yamīni Wa 'Idhā Gharabat Taqriđuhum Dhāta Ash-Shimāli Wa Hum Fī Fajwatin Minhu  ۚ  Dhālika Min 'Āyāti Al-Lahi  ۗ  Man Yahdi Al-Lahu Fahuwa Al-Muhtadi  ۖ  Wa Man Yuđlil Falan Tajida Lahu Walīyāan Murshidāan َ018-017 And (O people!) you could see the sun when it rose, inclining to the right of their (spacious) Place of Refuge, and when it set declining to their left, while they were in the open space of this (refuge of theirs); this was one of the signs of Allâh. He alone is rightly guided whom Allâh guides. As for the person whom He forsakes, you will find no helper, no guide, for him. وَتَرَى الشَّمْسَ إِذَا طَلَعَتْ تَزَاوَرُ عَنْ كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا غَرَبَتْ تَقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ فِي فَجْوَة ٍ مِنْهُ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  مَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ  ۖ  وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَه ُُ وَلِيّا ً مُرْشِدا ً
Wa Taĥsabuhum 'Ayqāžāan Wa Hum Ruqūdun  ۚ  Wa Nuqallibuhum Dhāta Al-Yamīni Wa Dhāta Ash-Shimāli  ۖ  Wa Kalbuhum Bāsiţun Dhirā`ayhi Bil-Waşīdi  ۚ  Lawi Aţţala`ta `Alayhim Lawallayta Minhum Firārāan Wa Lamuli'ta Minhum Ru`bāan َ018-018 You might think them wary while they are dormant and asleep. We shall make them turn over (now) to the right and (then) to the left while their dog is (present with them) stretching its paws forward on the threshold in the courtyard. If you had become aware of their (true) state you would have turned back from them in fright and you would have surely been filled with great awe of them. وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظا ً وَهُمْ رُقُود ٌ  ۚ  وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ  ۖ  وَكَلْبُهُمْ بَاسِط ٌ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِالْوَصِيدِ  ۚ  لَوِ اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارا ً وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبا ً
Wa Kadhalika Ba`athnāhum Liyatasā'alū Baynahum  ۚ  Qāla Qā'ilun Minhum Kam Labithtum  ۖ  Qālū Labithnā Yawmāan 'Aw Ba`đa Yawmin  ۚ  Qālū Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bimā Labithtumb`athū 'Aĥadakum Biwariqikum Hadhihi 'Ilá Al-Madīnati Falyanžur 'Ayyuhā 'Azká Ţa`āmāan Falya'tikum Birizqin Minhu Wa Līatalaţţaf Wa Lā Yush`iranna Bikum 'Aĥadāan َ018-019 And (just as We made them dormant) We raised them (to life from the state of lethargy). So that they questioned one another. One of them asked, `How long have you remained (dormant)?´ (Some of them) said, `We have remained (in this state of inactivity) a day or a part of a day.´ (Others) said, `Only your Lord knows best (the time) you have remained so. Now send one of you with these silver coins of yours to the city, he should see which of its (inhabitants) has the best and purest food and let him bring for you provisions from it. And let him be courteous and let him not at all apprise anyone about you. وَكَذَلِكَ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِيَتَسَاءَلُوا بَيْنَهُمْ  ۚ  قَالَ قَائِل ٌ مِنْهُمْ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ  ۖ  قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْماً أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْم ٍ  ۚ  قَالُوا رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثْتُمْ فَابْعَثُوا أَحَدَكُمْ بِوَرِقِكُمْ هَذِهِ~ِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَنظُرْ أَيُّهَا أَزْكَى طَعَاما ً فَلْيَأْتِكُمْ بِرِزْق ٍ مِنْهُ وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ وَلاَ يُشْعِرَنَّ بِكُمْ أَحَدا ً
'Innahum 'In Yažharū `Alaykum Yarjumūkum 'Aw Yu`īdūkum Fī Millatihim Wa Lan Tufliĥū 'Idhāan 'Abadāan َ018-020 `(For) if they come to know of you they will condemn you or make you revert to their faith (by force) and in that case (that you revert to their faith), you will never attain your goal and prosper ever.´ إِنَّهُمْ إِنْ يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ يَرْجُمُوكُمْ أَوْ يُعِيدُوكُمْ فِي مِلَّتِهِمْ وَلَنْ تُفْلِحُوا إِذاً أَبَدا ً
Wa Kadhalika 'A`tharnā `Alayhim Liya`lamū 'Anna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa 'Anna As-Sā`ata Lā Rayba Fīhā 'Idh Yatanāza`ūna Baynahum 'Amrahum  ۖ  Faqālū Abnū `Alayhim Bunyānāan  ۖ  Rabbuhum 'A`lamu Bihim  ۚ  Qāla Al-Ladhīna Ghalabū `Alá 'Amrihim Lanattakhidhanna `Alayhim Masjidāan َ018-021 That is how We let (other people) know about them (- their intentions and the real state of their affairs), that people might know that the promise of Allâh is true and that as to the (coming of the promised) hour there is no doubt about it. And (recall the time) when the people (that followed) argued among themselves about their affairs and they said, `Build a monument over them;´ their Lord knows them best. Those (of them) who won their point said, `We will certainly build a mosque (- place of worship) over them.´ وَكَذَلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهَا إِذْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ  ۖ  فَقَالُوا ابْنُوا عَلَيْهِمْ بُنْيَانا ً  ۖ  رَبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ  ۚ  قَالَ الَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا عَلَى أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ مَسْجِدا ً
Sayaqūlūna Thalāthatun Rābi`uhum Kalbuhum Wa Yaqūlūna Khamsatun Sādisuhum Kalbuhum Rajmāan Bil-Ghaybi  ۖ  Wa Yaqūlūna Sab`atun Wa Thāminuhum Kalbuhum  ۚ  Qul Rabbī 'A`lamu Bi`iddatihim Mā Ya`lamuhum 'Illā Qalīlun  ۗ  Falā Tumāri Fīhim 'Illā Mirā'an Žāhirāan Wa Lā Tastafti Fīhim Minhum 'Aĥadāan َ018-022 Guessing at random (- about them) some say, `(They were) three, their dog being the fourth,´ while others say, `(They were) five and their dog being the sixth.´ Yet there are others who say, `(They were) seven and their dog being the eighth.´ Say, `My Lord knows best their real number. None knows them except a few.´ So do not argue about them save with arguing on known premise (which is) overpowering and seek no legal order concerning them from anyone of them, (from those who make random guesses). سَيَقُولُونَ ثَلاَثَة ٌ رَابِعُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ خَمْسَة ٌ سَادِسُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ رَجْما ً بِالْغَيْبِ  ۖ  وَيَقُولُونَ سَبْعَة ٌ وَثَامِنُهُمْ كَلْبُهُمْ  ۚ  قُلْ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِمْ مَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيل ٌ  ۗ  فَلاَ تُمَارِ فِيهِمْ إِلاَّ مِرَاء ً ظَاهِرا ً وَلاَ تَسْتَفْتِ فِيهِمْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدا ً
Wa Lā Taqūlanna Lishay'in 'Innī Fā`ilun Dhālika Ghadāan َ018-023 And never say of anything, `I am going to do it tomorrow,´ وَلاَ تَقُولَنَّ لِشَيْء ٍ إِنِّي فَاعِل ٌ ذَلِكَ غَدا ً
'Illā 'An Yashā'a Al-Lahu  ۚ  Wa Adhkur Rabbaka 'Idhā Nasīta Wa Qul `Asá 'An Yahdiyani Rabbī Li'qraba Min Hādhā Rashadāan َ018-024 Unless (you add to it) `God willing.´ And remember your Lord whenever you forget (and make a mistake) and say, `I hope my Lord will guide me to a course even shorter than this to the right path (leading to success). إِلاَّ أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ  ۚ  وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَى أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّي لِأقْرَبَ مِنْ هَذَا رَشَدا ً
Wa Labithū Fī Kahfihim Thalātha Miā'atin Sinīna Wa Azdādū Tis`āan َ018-025 And they (- the early Christians) stayed in this Place of Refuge three hundred years and extended (their stay) another nine (years). وَلَبِثُوا فِي كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلاَثَ مِائَة ٍ سِنِينَ وَازْدَادُوا تِسْعا ً
Quli Al-Lahu 'A`lamu Bimā Labithū  ۖ  Lahu Ghaybu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi  ۖ  'Abşir Bihi Wa 'Asmi`  ۚ  Mā Lahum Min Dūnihi Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Yushriku Fī Ĥukmihi 'Aĥadāan َ018-026 Say, `Allâh knows best how long they stayed. To Him belong the hidden realities in the heavens and the earth. How clear He sees and how well He hears! They have no helper beside Him. He lets none associate with Him and share His judgment. قُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا  ۖ  لَه ُُ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ  ۖ  أَبْصِرْ بِه ِِ وَأَسْمِعْ  ۚ  مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مِنْ وَلِيّ ٍ وَلاَ يُشْرِكُ فِي حُكْمِهِ~ِ أَحَدا ً
Wa Atlu Mā 'Ūĥiya 'Ilayka Min Kitābi Rabbika  ۖ  Lā Mubaddila Likalimātihi Wa Lan Tajida Min Dūnihi Multaĥadāan َ018-027 And recite (to these people) what is revealed to you of the commandment of your Lord. There is none who can change His words, and you will find no refuge apart from Him. وَاتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ  ۖ  لاَ مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِه ِِ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مُلْتَحَدا ً
Wa Aşbir Nafsaka Ma`a Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Rabbahum Bil-Ghadāati Wa Al-`Ashīyi Yurīdūna Wajhahu Wa Lā  ۖ  Ta`du `Aynāka `Anhum Turīdu Zīnata Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Lā  ۖ  Tuţi` Man 'Aghfalnā Qalbahu `An Dhikrinā Wa Attaba`a Hawāhu Wa Kāna 'Amruhu Furuţāan َ018-028 And keep yourself attached to those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, constantly seeking His pleasure, and do not let your eyes turn away from them to pursue the glamour of the present life and do not follow him whose heart We have declared unmindful of Our remembrance; who follows his evil inclinations, and whose affair exceeds all legitimate limits. وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَه ُُ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَلاَ تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَه ُُ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاه ُُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُه ُُ فُرُطا ً
Wa Quli Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbikum  ۖ  Faman Shā'a Falyu'umin Wa Man Shā'a Falyakfur  ۚ  'Innā 'A`tadnā Lilžžālimīna Nārāan 'Aĥāţa Bihim Surādiquhā  ۚ  Wa 'In Yastaghīthū Yughāthū Bimā'in Kālmuhli Yash Al-Wujūha  ۚ  Bi'sa Ash-Sharābu Wa Sā'at Murtafaqāan َ018-029 And say, `It is the truth from your Lord, therefore let him who wishes (it) believe (in it) and let him who wishes (otherwise) disbelieve (in it).´ (But let everyone remember,) We have prepared for the unjust a fire whose (flaming) enclosure will surround (and fumes envelope) them. If they cry for water, they shall be helped with water (boiling) like molten lead, which will scald their faces. How dreadful the drink and how dismal is (the Fire as) a resting place! وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ  ۖ  فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِنْ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ  ۚ  إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَاراً أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا  ۚ  وَإِنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاء ٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوه ََ  ۚ  بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَاءَتْ مُرْتَفَقا ً
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Innā Lā Nuđī`u 'Ajra Man 'Aĥsana `Amalāan َ018-030 But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness (should know that) We surely do not suffer the reward of those who do good deeds to be lost. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ إِنَّا لاَ نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلا ً
'Ūlā'ika Lahum Jannātu `Adnin Tajrī Min Taĥtihimu Al-'Anhāru Yuĥallawna Fīhā Min 'Asāwira Min Dhahabin Wa Yalbasūna Thiyābāan Khuđrāan Min Sundusin Wa 'Istabraqin Muttaki'īna Fīhā `Alá Al-'Arā'iki  ۚ  Ni`ma Ath-Thawābu Wa Ĥasunat Murtafaqāan َ018-031 It is these for whom there await the Gardens of Eternity served with running streams (to keep them green and flourishing). There they shall be adorned with bracelets of gold and wear green robes of fine silk and rich brocade. They will be reclining in these (Gardens) upon raised couches. How excellent the reward! and how beautiful the resting place! أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْن ٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَب ٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَاباً خُضْرا ً مِنْ سُندُس ٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَق ٍ مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ  ۚ  نِعْمَ الثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقا ً
Wa Ađrib Lahum Mathalāan Rajulayni Ja`alnā Li'ĥadihimā Jannatayni Min 'A`nābin Wa Ĥafafnāhumā Binakhlin Wa Ja`alnā Baynahumā Zar`āan َ018-032 And relate to these (opponents of yours) the parable (and description of the conditions) of two men. We had provided to one of them two vine-gardens which We fenced with date-palms and We placed cornfields between the two. وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلا ً رَجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لِأحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ مِنْ أَعْنَاب ٍ وَحَفَفْنَاهُمَا بِنَخْل ٍ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعا ً
Kiltā Al-Jannatayni 'Ātat 'Ukulahā Wa Lam Tažlim Minhu Shay'āan  ۚ  Wa Fajjarnā Khilālahumā Naharāan َ018-033 Each of the two gardens brought forth its fruit (in abundance); failing not the least in them. And We had made a stream to flow (as well) in between the two. كِلْتَا الْجَنَّتَيْنِ آتَتْ أُكُلَهَا وَلَمْ تَظْلِمْ مِنْهُ شَيْئا ً  ۚ  وَفَجَّرْنَا خِلاَلَهُمَا نَهَرا ً
Wa Kāna Lahu Thamarun Faqāla Lişāĥibihi Wa Huwa Yuĥāwiruhu 'Anā 'Aktharu Minka Mālāan Wa 'A`azzu Nafarāan َ018-034 Thus he (- the owner) had an abundance of fruit (and substance of diverse kinds). So he said to his companion (- the other man) while he was arguing (boastfully and vainly) with him, `I am richer than you in wealth and mightier in respect of man-power.´ وَكَانَ لَه ُُ ثَمَر ٌ فَقَالَ لِصَاحِبِه ِِ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُ~ُ أَنَا أَكْثَرُ مِنْكَ مَالا ً وَأَعَزُّ نَفَرا ً
Wa Dakhala Jannatahu Wa Huwa Žālimun Linafsihi Qāla Mā 'Ažunnu 'An Tabīda Hadhihi 'Abadāan َ018-035 And (it so happened that) he entered his garden while he was unjust to his own soul. He said, (to his companion), `I do not think that this wealth will ever perish. وَدَخَلَ جَنَّتَه ُُ وَهُوَ ظَالِم ٌ لِنَفْسِه ِِ قَالَ مَا أَظُنُّ أَنْ تَبِيدَ هَذِهِ~ِ أَبَدا ً
Wa Mā 'Ažunnu As-Sā`ata Qā'imatan Wa La'in Rudidtu 'Ilá Rabbī La'ajidanna Khayrāan Minhā Munqalabāan َ018-036 `And I do not think that the (promised) Hour (of Resurrection) will ever come. But if I am ever made to return to my Lord I will certainly find (there) an even better resort than this.´ وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَة ً وَلَئِنْ رُدِدْتُ إِلَى رَبِّي لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرا ً مِنْهَا مُنقَلَبا ً
Qāla Lahu Şāĥibuhu Wa Huwa Yuĥāwiruhu 'Akafarta Bial-Ladhī Khalaqaka Min Turābin Thumma Min Nuţfatin Thumma Sawwāka Rajulāan َ018-037 His companion said to him, while he was arguing with him, `Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you (first) from dust and then from a sperm drop, then He fashioned you into a (perfect) man. قَالَ لَه ُُ صَاحِبُه ُُ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُ~ُ أَكَفَرْتَ بِالَّذِي خَلَقَكَ مِنْ تُرَاب ٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَة ٍ ثُمَّ سَوَّاكَ رَجُلا ً
Lakinnā Huwa Al-Lahu Rabbī Wa Lā 'Ushriku Birabbī 'Aĥadāan َ018-038 `But as for myself (I believe that) He, Allâh alone is my Lord, and I will associate none with my Lord. لَكِنَّا هُوَ اللَّهُ رَبِّي وَلاَ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّي أَحَدا ً
Wa Lawlā 'Idh Dakhalta Jannataka Qulta Mā Shā'a Al-Lahu Lā Qūwata 'Illā Bil-Lahi  ۚ  'In Tarani 'Anā 'Aqalla Minka Mālāan Wa Waladāan َ018-039 `And why did you not say when you entered your garden, "(Only) that which Allâh wills (comes to pass)", for power belongs only to Allâh; though you see me inferior to yourself in riches and children, وَلَوْلاَ إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ لاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنْ تَرَنِ أَنَا أَقَلَّ مِنْكَ مَالا ً وَوَلَدا ً
Fa`asá Rabbī 'An Yu'utiyanī Khayrāan Min Jannatika Wa Yursila `Alayhā Ĥusbānāan Mina As-Samā'i Fatuşbiĥa Şa`īdāan Zalaqāan َ018-040 `There is every hope that my Lord will give me a garden better than yours and He may visit this (garden of yours) with thunderbolts from above, so that it is turned into a barren waste. فَعَسَى رَبِّي أَنْ يُؤْتِيَنِي خَيْرا ً مِنْ جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانا ً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدا ً زَلَقا ً
'Aw Yuşbiĥa Mā'uuhā Ghawrāan Falan Tastaţī`a Lahu Ţalabāan َ018-041 `Or its water may be drained (into the earth) so that you will not be able to find it.´ أَوْ يُصْبِحَ مَاؤُهَا غَوْرا ً فَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ لَه ُُ طَلَبا ً
Wa 'Uĥīţa Bithamarihi Fa'aşbaĥa Yuqallibu Kaffayhi `Alá Mā 'Anfaqa Fīhā Wa Hiya Khāwiyatun `Alá `Urūshihā Wa Yaqūlu Yā Laytanī Lam 'Ushrik Birabbī 'Aĥadāan َ018-042 Now (it came to pass that) his fruit (and substance) was utterly destroyed and while it (- the vine garden) lay toppled over on its trellises, he began to wring his hands on account of what he had spent on it and said, `Would that I had associated none with my Lord.´ وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِه ِِ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى مَا أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَالَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّي أَحَدا ً
Wa Lam Takun Lahu Fi'atun Yanşurūnahu Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Mā Kāna Muntaşirāan َ018-043 But (then) there was no party left to defend him against Allâh, nor could he defend himself, (for it was Allâh alone Who could help him). وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَه ُُ فِئَة ٌ يَنصُرُونَه ُُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مُنتَصِرا ً
Hunālika Al-Walāyatu Lillahi Al-Ĥaqqi  ۚ  Huwa Khayrun Thawābāan Wa Khayrun `Uqan َ018-044 At such a time (it is thus established that) protection belongs only to Allâh (and help comes from Him alone), the true (God), He is the Best in respect of rewarding and the Best in respect of bringing about good results. هُنَالِكَ الْوَلاَيَةُ لِلَّهِ الْحَقِّ  ۚ  هُوَ خَيْر ٌ ثَوَابا ً وَخَيْرٌ عُقْبا ً
Wa Ađrib Lahum Mathala Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamā'in 'Anzalnāhu Mina As-Samā'i Fākhtalaţa Bihi Nabātu Al-'Arđi Fa'aşbaĥa Hashīmāan Tadhrūhu Ar-Riyāĥu  ۗ  Wa Kāna Al-Lahu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Muqtadirāan َ018-045 And give them the similitude of the life of this world. It is like water which We send down from the clouds, so the vegetation and plants of the earth flourish with it. And then it turns into chaff which the winds scatter about. Behold! Allâh is the Holder of all power over what He will. وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاءٍ أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِه ِِ نَبَاتُ الأَرْضِ فَأَصْبَحَ هَشِيما ً تَذْرُوهُ الرِّيَاحُ  ۗ  وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ مُقْتَدِرا ً
Al-Mālu Wa Al-Banūna Zīnatu Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa  ۖ  Al-Bāqiyātu Aş-Şāliĥātu Khayrun `Inda Rabbika Thawābāan Wa Khayrun 'Amalāan َ018-046 Wealth and children are an adornment of the life of this world. But with regard to (immediate) reward, ever-abiding righteous deeds are the best in the sight of your Lord, they (also) promise the best hope (in respect of the future). الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابا ً وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلا ً
Wa Yawma Nusayyiru Al-Jibāla Wa Tará Al-'Arđa Bārizatan Wa Ĥasharnāhum Falam Nughādir Minhum 'Aĥadāan َ018-047 And beware of the day when We shall set the mountains in motion and make them vanish and you shall find (the nations of) the earth march forth (against one another), and We shall gather all peoples together and We shall leave none of them behind. وَيَوْمَ نُسَيِّرُ الْجِبَالَ وَتَرَى الأَرْضَ بَارِزَة ً وَحَشَرْنَاهُمْ فَلَمْ نُغَادِرْ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدا ً
Wa `Uriđū `Alá Rabbika Şaffāan Laqad Ji'tumūnā Kamā Khalaqnākum 'Awwala Marratin  ۚ  Bal Za`amtum 'Allan Naj`ala Lakum Maw`idāan َ018-048 And they shall be presented before your Lord ranged in rows, (and it will be said to them,) `Now certainly you have come to Us (no better than) We created you the first time. But you had thought that We would appoint for you no time for the fulfillment of (Our) promise.´ وَعُرِضُوا عَلَى رَبِّكَ صَفّا ً لَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّة ٍ  ۚ  بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّنْ نَجْعَلَ لَكُمْ مَوْعِدا ً
Wa Wuđi`a Al-Kitābu Fatará Al-Mujrimīna Mushfiqīna Mimmā Fīhi Wa Yaqūlūna Yā Waylatanā Māli Hādhā Al-Kitābi Lā Yughādiru Şaghīratan Wa Lā Kabīratan 'Illā 'Aĥşāhā  ۚ  Wa Wajadū Mā `Amilū Ĥāđirāan  ۗ  Wa Lā Yažlimu Rabbuka 'Aĥadāan َ018-049 And (on that day) the record (of their deeds) will be exhibited (before them), and you will see those who cut off their ties (with Allâh) fearful as to that which is (recorded) in it. They will say, `Woe to us! what sort of record is this! It leaves out neither a small thing nor a great one but has recounted everything.´ And they will find all they did confronting (them) and your Lord does injustice to no one ever. وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ فَتَرَى الْمُجْرِمِينَ مُشْفِقِينَ مِمَّا فِيه ِِ وَيَقُولُونَ يَاوَيْلَتَنَا مَالِ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ لاَ يُغَادِرُ صَغِيرَة ً وَلاَ كَبِيرَة ً إِلاَّ أَحْصَاهَا وَوَجَدُوا  ۚ  مَا عَمِلُوا حَاضِرا ً وَلاَ  ۗ  يَظْلِمُ رَبُّكَ أَحَدا ً
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Lilmalā'ikati Asjudū Li'dama Fasajadū 'Illā 'Iblīsa Kāna Mina Al-Jinni Fafasaqa `An 'Amri Rabbihi  ۗ  'Afatattakhidhūnahu Wa Dhurrīyatahu 'Awliyā'a Min Dūnī Wa Hum Lakum `Adūwun  ۚ  Bi'sa Lilžžālimīna Badalāan َ018-050 And (recall the time) when We said to the angels, `Submit to Adam.´ So they all submitted (bowing), but Iblîs (did not); he was one of the jinn, he disobeyed the command of his Lord. (Mankind!) would you (then) take him and his progeny (and cohorts) for friends rather than Me while they are your enemies? How evil is the substitute (of God) the unjust have chosen! وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِأدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِ~ِ  ۗ  أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَه ُُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ~ُ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِي وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوّ ٌ  ۚ  بِئْسَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ بَدَلا ً
Mā 'Ash/hadtuhum Khalqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Khalqa 'Anfusihim Wa Mā Kuntu Muttakhidha Al-Muđillīna `Ađudāan َ018-051 I did not call them (- Iblîs and his cohorts) to make them witness and to help at (the time of) the creation of the heavens and the earth nor at (the time of) their own creation. I would never take those who lead (others) astray for (My) helpers. مَا أَشْهَدْتُهُمْ خَلْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلاَ خَلْقَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ الْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدا ً
Wa Yawma Yaqūlu Nādū Shurakā'iya Al-Ladhīna Za`amtum Fada`awhum Falam Yastajībū Lahum Wa Ja`alnā Baynahum Mawbiqāan َ018-052 And (beware of) the day when He will say, `Call on My (so called) partners about whom you had many pretensions.´ Thereupon they will call on them but they will give them no answer, and We shall make their association with them a (cause of their) perdition. وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ نَادُوا شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ مَوْبِقا ً
Wa Ra'á Al-Mujrimūna An-Nāra Fažannū 'Annahum Muwāqi`ūhā Wa Lam Yajidū `Anhā Maşrifāan َ018-053 And those who cut off their ties (with Allâh) will see the fire and realize that they are going to fall into it, and they shall find no way of escape from it. وَرَأَى الْمُجْرِمُونَ النَّارَ فَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ مُوَاقِعُوهَا وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا عَنْهَا مَصْرِفا ً
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Lilnnāsi Min Kulli Mathalin  ۚ  Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu 'Akthara Shay'in Jadalāan َ018-054 And We have explained in various ways in this Qur´ân every kind of excellent thing for the good of the people; but of all things human being is the most contentious. وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَل ٍ  ۚ  وَكَانَ الإِنسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْء ٍ جَدَلا ً
Wa Mā Mana`a An-Nāsa 'An Yu'uminū 'Idh Jā'ahumu Al-Hudá Wa Yastaghfirū Rabbahum 'Illā 'An Ta'tiyahum Sunnatu Al-'Awwalīna 'Aw Ya'tiyahumu Al-`Adhābu Qubulāan َ018-055 Unless the precedence of the ancients should be repeated in their case or the punishment should stare them in the face, there is nothing to hinder people from believing in the guidance when it comes to them and from seeking protection and pardon of their Lord. وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَى وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ سُنَّةُ الأَوَّلِينَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ قُبُلا ً
Wa Mā Nursilu Al-Mursalīna 'Illā Mubashshirīna Wa Mundhirīna  ۚ  Wa Yujādilu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bil-Bāţili Liyudĥiđū Bihi Al-Ĥaqqa  ۖ  Wa Attakhadhū 'Āyātī Wa Mā 'Undhirū Huzūan َ018-056 And We send no Apostles but as Bearers of good tidings (to the obedient on the one hand) and as Warners (to the disobedient on the other). And those who disbelieve contend by means of falsehood that they may refute the truth thereby. And they scoff at My commandments and (the punishment) of which they had been warned. وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ  ۚ  وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ  ۖ  وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَمَا أُنْذِرُوا هُزُوا ً
Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimman Dhukkira Bi'āyāti Rabbihi Fa'a`rađa `Anhā Wa Nasiya Mā Qaddamat Yadāhu  ۚ  'Innā Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Akinnatan 'An Yafqahūhu Wa Fī 'Ādhānihim Waqrāan Wa 'In  ۖ  Tad`uhum 'Ilá Al-Hudá Falan Yahtadū 'Idhāan 'Abadāan َ018-057 And who is more unjust than he who is reminded of the Messages of his Lord but he turns away from them and forgets what he has forwarded with his own hands (to be stored). In fact We have placed veils upon their hearts which prevent them from understanding it (- the Qur´ân) and in their ears is (created) heaviness (so that they have turned deaf). You call them to the right path as you may they will never follow the right course and accept guidance. وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ ذُكِّرَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّه ِِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِيَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ~ُ  ۚ  إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوه ُُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرا ً  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَى فَلَنْ يَهْتَدُوا إِذاً أَبَدا ً
Wa Rabbuka Al-Ghafūru Dhū Ar-Raĥmati  ۖ  Law Yu'uākhidhuhum Bimā Kasabū La`ajjala Lahumu Al-`Adhāba  ۚ  Bal Lahum Maw`idun Lan Yajidū Min Dūnihi Maw'ilāan َ018-058 Your Lord is All-Protecting, Full of mercy. If He were to take them to task for all that they have done He would certainly have hastened for them the punishment. Yet there is a time appointed for them. They will never find an escape from it. وَرَبُّكَ الْغَفُورُ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ  ۖ  لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ الْعَذَابَ  ۚ  بَلْ لَهُمْ مَوْعِد ٌ لَنْ يَجِدُوا مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مَوْئِلا ً
Wa Tilka Al-Qurá 'Ahlaknāhum Lammā Žalamū Wa Ja`alnā Limahlikihim Maw`idāan َ018-059 And these are townships (of the people committed to punishment), We destroyed them when they committed inequities and wrong. And We appointed a fixed time for their destruction. وَتِلْكَ الْقُرَى أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِمْ مَوْعِدا ً
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Lifatāhu Lā 'Abraĥu Ĥattá 'Ablugha Majma`a Al-Baĥrayni 'Aw 'Amđiya Ĥuqubāan َ018-060 And (recall the time) when Moses said to his (sincere) young (comrade), `I will not stop till I reach the confluence of the two rivers (the Niles at Khartoum); even if I must have to go on (journeying) for years.´ وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِفَتَاهُ لاَ أَبْرَحُ حَتَّى أَبْلُغَ مَجْمَعَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ أَوْ أَمْضِيَ حُقُبا ً
Falammā Balaghā Majma`a Baynihimā Nasiyā Ĥūtahumā Fa Attakhadha Sabīlahu Fī Al-Baĥri Sarabāan َ018-061 But when they reached the confluence (where the two rivers met) they forgot (all about) their fish (which they had brought with them) so that it took its way straight into the river burrowing (in to it). فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا فَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَه ُُ فِي الْبَحْرِ سَرَبا ً
Falammā Jāwazā Qāla Lifatāhu 'Ātinā Ghadā'anā Laqad Laqīnā Min Safarinā Hādhā Naşabāan َ018-062 And when they had gone further he said to his (sincere) young (comrade), `Bring us our breakfast; indeed the journey of today has been very tiring for us.´ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَا قَالَ لِفَتَاهُ آتِنَا غَدَاءَنَا لَقَدْ لَقِينَا مِنْ سَفَرِنَا هَذَا نَصَبا ً
Qāla 'Ara'ayta 'Idh 'Awaynā 'Ilá Aş-Şakhrati Fa'innī Nasītu Al-Ĥūta Wa Mā 'Ansānīhu 'Illā Ash-Shayţānu 'An 'Adhkurahu  ۚ  Wa Attakhadha Sabīlahu Fī Al-Baĥri `Ajabāan َ018-063 He (- the young comrade) replied, `Did you see (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock for shelter, I forgot (all about) the fish; and none but satan made me forget to mention this (to you) and behold! it made its way into the river. What a wonder (that I should thus forget)! قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِذْ أَوَيْنَا إِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَإِنِّي نَسِيتُ الْحُوتَ وَمَا أَنْسَانِيهُ~ُ إِلاَّ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَه ُُ  ۚ  وَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَه ُُ فِي الْبَحْرِ عَجَبا ً
Qāla Dhālika Mā Kunnā Nabghi  ۚ  Fārtaddā `Alá 'Āthārihimā Qaşaşāan َ018-064 (Moses) said, `That is (the place) which we have been seeking.´ So both of them returned retracing their steps. قَالَ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ  ۚ  فَارْتَدَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِمَا قَصَصا ً
Fawajadā `Abdāan Min `Ibādinā 'Ātaynāhu Raĥmatan Min `Indinā Wa `Allamnāhu Min Ladunnā `Ilmāan َ018-065 So that they found a (noble and great) servant of Ours to whom We had granted mercy from Us and whom We had taught (great) Knowledge from Ourself. فَوَجَدَا عَبْدا ً مِنْ عِبَادِنَا آتَيْنَاه ُُ رَحْمَة ً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَاه ُُ مِنْ لَدُنَّا عِلْما ً
Qāla Lahu Mūsá Hal 'Attabi`uka `Alá 'An Tu`allimani Mimmā `Ullimta Rushan َ018-066 Moses said to him, `May I follow you so that you may teach me (some of) the ways of rectitude which you have been taught?´ قَالَ لَه ُُ مُوسَى هَلْ أَتَّبِعُكَ عَلَى أَنْ تُعَلِّمَنِ مِمَّا عُلِّمْتَ رُشْدا ً
Qāla 'Innaka Lan Tastaţī`a Ma`iya Şaban َ018-067 He (- the great man) said, `(Yes, but) while keeping company with me you will never be able to bear (and keep company) with me in patience, قَالَ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرا ً
Wa Kayfa Taşbiru `Alá Mā Lam Tuĥiţ Bihi Khuban َ018-068 `And how can you have patience about things the knowledge of which you do not comprehend.´ وَكَيْفَ تَصْبِرُ عَلَى مَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِه ِِ خُبْرا ً
Qāla Satajidunī 'In Shā'a Al-Lahu Şābirāan Wa Lā 'A`şī Laka 'Aman َ018-069 (Moses) said, `You will find me patient, God willing, and I shall not disobey you in any matter.´ قَالَ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ صَابِرا ً وَلاَ أَعْصِي لَكَ أَمْرا ً
Qāla Fa'ini Attaba`tanī Falā Tas'alnī `An Shay'in Ĥattá 'Uĥditha Laka Minhu Dhikrāan َ018-070 He (- the great man) said, `Well, if you would follow me, (mind that) you shall ask me no question about anything unless I myself broach the subject to you.´ قَالَ فَإِنِ اتَّبَعْتَنِي فَلاَ تَسْأَلْنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى أُحْدِثَ لَكَ مِنْهُ ذِكْرا ً
nţalaqā Ĥattá 'Idhā Rakibā Fī As-Safīnati Kharaqahā  ۖ  Qāla 'Akharaqtahā Litughriqa 'Ahlahā Laqad Ji'ta Shay'āan 'Iman َ018-071 So both of them set out until when they embarked in a boat he scuttled it. (Thereupon Moses) said, `Have you scuttled it that you may drown (its) occupants? It is indeed a strangely grievous thing you have done.´ فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا رَكِبَا فِي السَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا  ۖ  قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئا ً إِمْرا ً
Qāla 'Alam 'Aqul 'Innaka Lan Tastaţī`a Ma`iya Şaban َ018-072 He replied, `Did I not say that you would not be able to bear with me (and keep company with me patiently).´ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرا ً
Qāla Lā Tu'uākhidhnī Bimā Nasītu Wa Lā Turhiqnī Min 'Amrī `Usrāan َ018-073 (Moses) said, `Do not take me to task for what I forgot; do not be too hard on me for this lapse of mine.´ قَالَ لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلاَ تُرْهِقْنِي مِنْ أَمْرِي عُسْرا ً
nţalaqā Ĥattá 'Idhā Laqiyā Ghulāmāan Faqatalahu Qāla 'Aqatalta Nafsāan Zakīyatan Bighayri Nafsin Laqad Ji'ta Shay'āan Nukrāan َ018-074 Then they both set out again till when they met a boy, he (- the great man) slew him. (At this Moses) said, `Why have you slain an innocent person without (his having slain) any one. Most certainly, it is a strangely wondrous act you have committed.´ فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلاَما ً فَقَتَلَه ُُ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسا ً زَكِيَّة ً بِغَيْرِ نَفْس ٍ لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئا ً نُكْرا ً
Qāla 'Alam 'Aqul Laka 'Innaka Lan Tastaţī`a Ma`iya Şaban َ018-075 He (- the great divine being) said, `Did I not tell you that you would not certainly be able to bear with me patiently?´ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكَ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ مَعِيَ صَبْرا ً
Qāla 'In Sa'altuka `An Shay'in Ba`dahā Falā Tuşāĥibnī  ۖ  Qad Balaghta Min Ladunnī `Udhan َ018-076 (Moses) said, `If I question you about anything after this keep me in your company no more, for (in that case) you shall have reached the extent of being excused by me (- I shall have no excuse to offer).´ قَالَ إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَيْء ٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلاَ تُصَاحِبْنِي  ۖ  قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّي عُذْرا ً
nţalaqā Ĥattá 'Idhā 'Atayā 'Ahla Qaryatin Astaţ`amā 'Ahlahā Fa'abaw 'An Yuđayyifūhumā Fawajadā Fīhā Jidārāan Yurīdu 'An Yanqađđa Fa'aqāmahu  ۖ  Qāla Law Shi'ta Lāttakhadhta `Alayhi 'Ajan َ018-077 So both of them again set out till when they came upon the inhabitants of a town they asked them for food, but they refused to entertain them as guests. Then they found therein (- the town) a wall which was on the point of falling down and he (- the divine being) repaired it. (Moses) said, `If you had wanted, you could have charged for it.´ فَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا أَتَيَا أَهْلَ قَرْيَة ٍ اسْتَطْعَمَا أَهْلَهَا فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُضَيِّفُوهُمَا فَوَجَدَا فِيهَا جِدَارا ً يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنقَضَّ فَأَقَامَه ُُ  ۖ  قَالَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لاَتَّخَذْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرا ً
Qāla Hādhā Firāqu Baynī Wa Baynika  ۚ  Sa'unabbi'uka Bita'wīli Mā Lam Tastaţi` `Alayhi Şaban َ018-078 (The divine being thereupon) said, `This is the parting (of the ways) between me and you. Now I shall tell you the significance of that with which you could not have patience: قَالَ هَذَا فِرَاقُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكَ  ۚ  سَأُنَبِّئُكَ بِتَأْوِيلِ مَا لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ عَلَيْهِ صَبْرا ً
'Ammā As-Safīnatu Fakānat Limasākīna Ya`malūna Fī Al-Baĥri Fa'aradtu 'An 'A`ībahā Wa Kāna Warā'ahum Malikun Ya'khudhu Kulla Safīnatin Ghaşbāan َ018-079 `As for the boat it belonged to (certain) poor people who worked on the river, and in their rear there was a (brutal) king who seized every (good) boat by force, so I chose to damage it (the boat). أَمَّا السَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَاكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَاءَهُمْ مَلِك ٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبا ً
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ghulāmu Fakāna 'Abawāhu Mu'uminayni Fakhashīnā 'An Yurhiqahumā Ţughyānāan Wa Kufrāan َ018-080 `And as for the boy, his parents were believers and we feared that he should involve them in trouble through transgression and disbelief, وَأَمَّا الْغُلاَمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاه ُُ مُؤْمِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَا أَنْ يُرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَانا ً وَكُفْرا ً
Fa'aradnā 'An Yubdilahumā Rabbuhumā Khayrāan Minhu Zakāatan Wa 'Aqraba Ruĥmāan َ018-081 `So we desired that their Lord should give them in his place (a child) superior to him in virtue and purity and more regardful to attend to the right of relationships. فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرا ً مِنْهُ زَكَاة ً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْما ً
Wa 'Ammā Al-Jidāru Fakāna Lighulāmayni Yatīmayni Fī Al-Madīnati Wa Kāna Taĥtahu Kanzun Lahumā Wa Kāna 'Abūhumā Şāliĥāan Fa'arāda Rabbuka 'An Yablughā 'Ashuddahumā Wa Yastakhrijā Kanzahumā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika  ۚ  Wa Mā Fa`altuhu `An 'Amrī  ۚ  Dhālika Ta'wīlu Mā Lam Tasţi` `Alayhi Şaban َ018-082 `As for the wall it belonged to two orphan boys of the town and under this (wall there) was a treasure belonging to them and their father had been a righteous man. So your Lord desired that they should attain their (age of) full strength and then take out their treasure; a mercy from your Lord, and I did not do it of my own accord, (whatever I did was the will of the Lord). This is the significance of that which you were not able to bear with patience.´ وَأَمَّا الْجِدَارُ فَكَانَ لِغُلاَمَيْنِ يَتِيمَيْنِ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَ تَحْتَه ُُ كَنز ٌ لَهُمَا وَكَانَ أَبُوهُمَا صَالِحا ً فَأَرَادَ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يَبْلُغَا أَشُدَّهُمَا وَيَسْتَخْرِجَا كَنزَهُمَا رَحْمَة ً مِنْ رَبِّكَ  ۚ  وَمَا فَعَلْتُه ُُ عَنْ أَمْرِي  ۚ  ذَلِكَ تَأْوِيلُ مَا لَمْ تَسْطِعْ عَلَيْهِ صَبْرا ً
Wa Yas'alūnaka `An Dhī Al-Qarnayni  ۖ  Qul Sa'atlū `Alaykum Minhu Dhikrāan َ018-083 And they ask you about Dhul-Qarnain (- Cyrus of Persia). Say, `I will just recite to you (in the word of Lord) some of his account,´ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنْ ذِي الْقَرْنَيْنِ  ۖ  قُلْ سَأَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُ ذِكْرا ً
'Innā Makkannā Lahu Fī Al-'Arđi Wa 'Ātaynāhu Min Kulli Shay'in Sababāan َ018-084 Verily, We granted him authority on the earth, (his empire extended from Persia to the Black Sea on one side and from Asia Minor to Afghanistan and Baluchistan on the other) and provided him with all sorts of means. إِنَّا مَكَّنَّا لَه ُُ فِي الأَرْضِ وَآتَيْنَاه ُُ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ سَبَبا ً
Fa'atba`a Sababāan َ018-085 Then (it so happened that) he launched out on a (particular) course (to the western part of his empire). فَأَتْبَعَ سَبَبا ً
Ĥattá 'Idhā Balagha Maghriba Ash-Shamsi Wajadahā Taghrubu Fī `Aynin Ĥami'atin Wa Wajada `Indahā Qawmāan  ۗ  Qulnā Yā Dhā Al-Qarnayni 'Immā 'An Tu`adhdhiba Wa 'Immā 'An Tattakhidha Fīhim Ĥusnāan َ018-086 So that when he reached (the land of) the setting of the sun, (the western most part of his empire,) he found it (- the sun) disappearing (as if) in a vast muddy pool of murky water (- the Black Sea), and close to it he found a certain people. We said, `Dhul-Qarnain! you may either punish (them) or treat them with kindness. (They being at your disposal.)´ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَة ٍ وَوَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا قَوْما ً  ۗ  قُلْنَا يَاذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّا أَنْ تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنا ً
Qāla 'Ammā Man Žalama Fasawfa Nu`adhdhibuhu Thumma Yuraddu 'Ilá Rabbihi Fayu`adhdhibuhu `Adhābāan Nukrāan َ018-087 He said, `(Well) as for him who transgresses and does wrong we shall certainly punish him, then will he be produced before his Lord Who will inflict upon him a dreadful punishment. قَالَ أَمَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُه ُُ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى رَبِّه ِِ فَيُعَذِّبُه ُُ عَذَابا ً نُكْرا ً
Wa 'Ammā Man 'Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Falahu Jazā'an Al-Ĥusná  ۖ  Wa Sanaqūlu Lahu Min 'Amrinā Yusrāan َ018-088 `But as for him who submits and believes and acts righteously, there is for him a handsome reward (with his Lord) and we shall speak to him easy (words) of our command (dealing indulgently with him).´ وَأَمَّا مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحا ً فَلَه ُُ جَزَاء ً الْحُسْنَى  ۖ  وَسَنَقُولُ لَه ُُ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرا ً
Thumma 'Atba`a Sababāan َ018-089 Then he launched out on (another) course (to the eastern part of his empire). ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبا ً
Ĥattá 'Idhā Balagha Maţli`a Ash-Shamsi Wajadahā Taţlu`u `Alá Qawmin Lam Naj`al Lahum Min Dūnihā Sitrāan َ018-090 So that when he reached the land of the rising of the sun (- eastern most point of his empire) he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no shelter against it (- the sun). حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَى قَوْم ٍ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرا ً
Kadhālika Wa Qad 'Aĥaţnā Bimā Ladayhi Khuban َ018-091 That is how (it was). As for him, We alone had full knowledge of all that he had with him. كَذَلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرا ً
Thumma 'Atba`a Sababāan َ018-092 Then he launched out on (yet another) course (to the northern part of his empire, - to the territory between the Caspian Sea and the Caucasian Mountains). ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبا ً
Ĥattá 'Idhā Balagha Bayna As-Saddayni Wajada Min Dūnihimā Qawmāan Lā Yakādūna Yafqahūna Qawlāan َ018-093 So that when he reached a place (- Derbent) between two barriers (on one side the Caspian Sea and on the other the Caucasian mountains) he found in their vicinity a people who could hardly understand speech (in his Persian language). حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمَا قَوْما ً لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلا ً
Qālū Yā Dhā Al-Qarnayni 'Inna Ya'jūja Wa Ma'jūja Mufsidūna Fī Al-'Arđi Fahal Naj`alu Laka Kharjāan `Alá 'An Taj`ala Baynanā Wa Baynahum Saddāan َ018-094 They said, `Dhul-Qarnain! Gog and Magog (-respectively the ancestors of the present Teutonic and Slavonic races) are playing havoc in this country. Shall we pay you tribute on condition that you set up a barrier between us and them?´ قَالُوا يَاذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجاً عَلَى أَنْ تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدّا ً
Qāla Mā Makkananī Fīhi Rabbī Khayrun Fa'a`īnūnī Biqūwatin 'Aj`al Baynakum Wa Baynahum Radan َ018-095 He said, `The power which my Lord has endowed me with about this is better (than this your tribute), you (only) help me with (your resources and human endeavour of physical) strength. I will raise a rampart between you and them.´ قَالَ مَا مَكَّنَنِي فِيه ِِ رَبِّي خَيْر ٌ فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْما ً
'Ātūnī Zubara Al-Ĥadīdi  ۖ  Ĥattá 'Idhā Sāwá Bayna Aş-Şadafayni Qāla Anfukhū  ۖ  Ĥattá 'Idhā Ja`alahu Nārāan Qāla 'Ātūnī 'Ufrigh `Alayhi Qiţan َ018-096 (Then he said,) `Bring me ingots of iron.´ (So that when all was provided for and) he had filled the space between the two barriers, he said, `Now blow (with your bellows).´ (They blew) till when he had made it (- the ignots red hot as) fire, he said, `Bring me molten copper that I may pour (it) thereon.´ آتُونِي زُبَرَ الْحَدِيدِ  ۖ  حَتَّى إِذَا سَاوَى بَيْنَ الصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ انفُخُوا  ۖ  حَتَّى إِذَا جَعَلَه ُُ نَارا ً قَالَ آتُونِي أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرا ً
Famā Asţā`ū 'An Yažharūhu Wa Mā Astaţā`ū Lahu Naqan َ018-097 So (there was built the rampart which) they (- Gog and Magog) could neither scale nor they had the strength to cause a breach through it. فَمَا اسْطَاعُوا أَنْ يَظْهَرُوه ُُ وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا لَه ُُ نَقْبا ً
Qāla Hādhā Raĥmatun Min Rabbī  ۖ  Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Rabbī Ja`alahu Dakkā'a  ۖ  Wa Kāna Wa`du Rabbī Ĥaqqāan َ018-098 He said (thereupon), `This (rampart signifies) a great mercy of my Lord. But when the promise of my Lord (about the spread of the tentacles of Gog and Magog all over the world) shall come to pass, He will raze it to the ground (crumbling it to pieces), and the promise of my Lord is certainly true.´ قَالَ هَذَا رَحْمَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّي  ۖ  فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّي جَعَلَه ُُ دَكَّاءَ  ۖ  وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّي حَقّا ً
Wa Taraknā Ba`đahum Yawma'idhin Yamūju Fī Ba`đin  ۖ  Wa Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri Fajama`nāhum Jaman َ018-099 And We shall leave them (- Gog and Magog) alone at that time surging as waves (in furious attacks) one over another. And the trumpet shall be blown. Then shall We gather them all together. وَتَرَكْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ يَمُوجُ فِي بَعْض ٍ  ۖ  وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَجَمَعْنَاهُمْ جَمْعا ً
Wa `Arađnā Jahannama Yawma'idhin Lilkāfirīna `Arđāan َ018-100 And We shall (in a way) present hell on that day, face to face to the disbelievers, وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَرْضا ً
Al-Ladhīna Kānat 'A`yunuhumGhā'in `An Dhikrī Wa Kānū Lā Yastaţī`ūna Saman َ018-101 Those (of them) whose eyes were under a cover (not heeding) My Reminder, and they could not even afford to hear (to the voice of truth). الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءٍ عَنْ ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعا ً
'Afaĥasiba Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'An Yattakhidhū `Ibādī Min Dūnī 'Awliyā'a  ۚ  'Innā 'A`tadnā Jahannama Lilkāfirīna Nuzulāan َ018-102 Do those disbelievers think, even then, that they can take My servants as patrons to My exclusion? (Let them know) surely We have prepared Gehenna for the disbelievers as an entertainment. أَفَحَسِبَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنْ يَتَّخِذُوا عِبَادِي مِنْ دُونِي أَوْلِيَاءَ  ۚ  إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نُزُلا ً
Qul Hal Nunabbi'ukum Bil-'Akhsarīna 'A`mālāan َ018-103 Say, `Shall We inform you of those whose deeds shall spell their utter loss?´ قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِالأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَالا ً
Al-Ladhīna Đalla Sa`yuhum Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Hum Yaĥsabūna 'Annahum Yuĥsinūna Şun`āan َ018-104 (They are) those whose efforts are (all) lost in (pursuit of things relating to) the life of this world, yet they think they are doing works of good manufacturing. الَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعا ً
'Ūla'ika Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Wa Liqā'ihi Faĥabiţat 'A`māluhum Falā Nuqīmu Lahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Waznāan َ018-105 It is these who disbelieve in and deny the Messages of Allâh and the meeting with Him. So their deeds have gone vain, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall assign them no weight. أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَائِه ِِ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَلاَ نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْنا ً
Dhālika Jazā'uuhum Jahannamu Bimā Kafarū Wa Attakhadhū 'Āyātī Wa Rusulī Huzūan َ018-106 That is their recompense, Gehenna, because they disbelieved and they looked down upon My signs and My Messengers. ذَلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَرُسُلِي هُزُوا ً
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Kānat Lahum Jannātu Al-Firdawsi Nuzulāan َ018-107 Those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, will have Gardens of Paradise for an entertainment and an abode; إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ الْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلا ً
Khālidīna Fīhā Lā Yabghūna `Anhā Ĥiwalāan َ018-108 Wherein they shall abide for ever, having no desire to be removed from there. خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا لاَ يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلا ً
Qul Law Kāna Al-Baĥru Midādāan Likalimāti Rabbī Lanafida Al-Baĥru Qabla 'An Tanfada Kalimātu Rabbī Wa Law Ji'nā Bimithlihi Madadāan َ018-109 Say, `If every ocean became ink for (recording) the words and creation of my Lord, surely, the oceans would be spent up before the words and creation of my Lord came to an end, even if we brought to add (therewith) as many more (oceans). قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادا ً لِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِه ِِ مَدَدا ً
Qul 'Innamā 'Anā Basharun Mithlukum Yūĥá 'Ilayya 'Annamā 'Ilahukum 'Ilahun Wāĥidun  ۖ  Faman Kāna Yarjū Liqā'a Rabbihi Falya`mal `Amalāan Şāliĥāan Wa Lā Yushrik Bi`ibādati Rabbihi 'Aĥadāan َ018-110 Say, `I am but a human being like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is only One God. So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do deeds of righteousness and let him associate no one in the worship of his Lord. قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَر ٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَه ٌ ٌ وَاحِد ٌ  ۖ  فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوا لِقَاءَ رَبِّه ِِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلا ً صَالِحا ً وَلاَ يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ~ِ أَحَدا ً
