13) سُورَة الرَّعد

'Alif-Lām-Mīm-Rā Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Wa Al-Ladhī 'Unzila 'Ilayka Min Rabbika Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Yu'uminūna َ013-001 Alif Lâm Mîm Râ. These are the verses of the perfect Book, and that which has been revealed to you by your Lord is the complete truth. But most people do not (still) believe (in it). أَلِف-لَام-مِيم-رَا تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَالَّذِي  ۚ  أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ  ۗ  رَبِّكَ الْحَقُّ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Rafa`a As-Samāwāti Bighayri `Amadin Tarawnahā  ۖ  Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi  ۖ  Wa Sakhkhara Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara  ۖ  Kullun Yajrī Li'jalin Musammáan  ۚ  Yudabbiru Al-'Amra Yufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti La`allakum Biliqā'i Rabbikum Tūqinūna َ013-002 Allâh is He Who raised up the heavens without any pillars that you can see, and He occupied the throne (of sovereignty). And He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you), each one of these (planets) pursues its course for a specified term. He regulates all affairs (of this universe). He explains in detail His Messages so that you may have firm conviction of the meeting with your Lord. اللَّهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَد ٍ تَرَوْنَهَا  ۖ  ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ  ۖ  وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ  ۖ  كُلّ ٌ يَجْرِي لِأجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً  ۚ  يُدَبِّرُ الأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Madda Al-'Arđa Wa Ja`ala Fīhā Rawāsiya Wa 'Anhārāan  ۖ  Wa Min Kulli Ath-Thamarāti Ja`ala Fīhā Zawjayni Athnayni  ۖ  Yughshī Al-Layla An-Nahāra  ۚ  'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna َ013-003 And it is He Who drew forth the earth (from another heavenly body) and made it productive and fertile by means of particles (of other planets), and made firm mountains and rivers on it. He has grown therein fruit of every kind in a pair comprising both sexes (the male stamens and female pistils). He causes the night to cover the day. Behold! in all this there are signs for a people who reflect. وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَدَّ الأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْهَارا ً  ۖ  وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ  ۖ  يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ  ۚ  إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Wa Fī Al-'Arđi Qiţa`un Mutajāwirātun Wa Jannātun Min 'A`nābin Wa Zar`un Wa Nakhīlun Şinwānun Wa Ghayru Şinwānin Yusqá Bimā'in Wāĥidin Wa Nufađđilu Ba`đahā `Alá Ba`đin Al-'Ukuli  ۚ  'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna َ013-004 And in the earth are (diverse) tracts side by side, and (in them there are) gardens of vines and (different kinds of) cornfields and date-palms; growing in clusters (many together from one root) and (others) growing separately from different roots. They are all watered with the same water, yet We make some of them excel others in (respect of) bearing fruit and (their) tastes. Behold! in all this, there are signs (to recognize their Lord) for a people who use their understanding. وَفِي الأَرْضِ قِطَع ٌ مُتَجَاوِرَات ٌ وَجَنَّات ٌ مِنْ أَعْنَاب ٍ وَزَرْع ٌ وَنَخِيل ٌ صِنْوَان ٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَان ٍ يُسْقَى بِمَاء ٍ وَاحِد ٍ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَى بَعْض ٍ فِي الأُكُلِ  ۚ  إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
Wa 'In Ta`jab Fa`ajabun Qawluhum 'A'idhā Kunnā Turābāan 'A'innā Lafī Khalqin Jadīdin  ۗ  'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Birabbihim  ۖ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika Al-'Aghlālu Fī 'A`nāqihim  ۖ  Wa 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri  ۖ  Hum Fīhā Khālidūna َ013-005 And (you, O reader! are right) if you would wonder (at the disbelievers for) wondrous indeed are their words: `Is it true that we shall be raised to a new creation when we are reduced to dust (after death?).´ These are the ones who disbelieve in their Lord and these are the ones who shall have halters around their necks. They shall be the fellows of the Fire wherein they shall abide. وَإِنْ تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَب ٌ قَوْلُهُمْ أَئِذَا كُنَّا تُرَاباً أَئِنَّا لَفِي خَلْق ٍ جَدِيدٍ  ۗ  أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ  ۖ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ الأَغْلاَلُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ  ۖ  وَأُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ  ۖ  هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Wa Yasta`jilūnaka Bis-Sayyi'ati Qabla Al-Ĥasanati Wa Qad Khalat Min Qablihimu Al-Mathulātu  ۗ  Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Ladhū Maghfiratin Lilnnāsi `Alá Žulmihim  ۖ  Wa 'Inna Rabbaka Lashadīdu Al-`Iqābi َ013-006 They want you to hasten on (their) punishment in preference to (your doing them) good, whereas there has already been awarded (to the people) before them exemplary punishment. Verily, your Lord is full of forgiveness to mankind despite their unjust doings, yet your Lord is (likewise) Strict in inflicting punishment. وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمُ الْمَثُلاَتُ  ۗ  وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَة ٍ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ  ۖ  وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi 'Āyatun Min Rabbihi  ۗ  'Innamā 'Anta Mundhirun  ۖ  Wa Likulli Qawmin Hādin َ013-007 And those who disbelieve say, `Why has no sign (of destruction) been sent down to him from his Lord?´ While you are nought but a Warner and a Guide for every people. وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ~ِ  ۗ  إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنذِر ٌ  ۖ  وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَاد ٍ
Al-Lahu Ya`lamu Mā Taĥmilu Kullu 'Unthá Wa Mā Taghīđu Al-'Arĥāmu Wa Mā Tazdādu  ۖ  Wa Kullu Shay'in `Indahu Bimiqdārin َ013-008 Allâh knows what every female carries and (He knows) what the wombs miscarry and what they nourish and help to grow. He has the (proper and fixed) measure of everything. اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَى وَمَا تَغِيضُ الأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ  ۖ  وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَه ُُ بِمِقْدَار ٍ
`Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati Al-Kabīru Al-Muta`ālī َ013-009 (He is the) Knower of the hidden realities and the visible, the Incomparably Great, the Most Exalted. عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعَالِي
Sawā'un Minkum Man 'Asarra Al-Qawla Wa Man Jahara Bihi Wa Man Huwa Mustakhfin Bil-Layli Wa Sāribun Bin-Nahāri َ013-010 He among you, who conceals his thoughts and he who speaks them aloud, and (also) he who lurks by night and he who goes forth (openly) by day are all alike (in His knowledge). سَوَاء ٌ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أَسَرَّ الْقَوْلَ وَمَنْ جَهَرَ بِه ِِ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْف ٍ بِاللَّيْلِ وَسَارِب ٌ بِالنَّهَارِ
Lahu Mu`aqqibātun Min Bayni Yadayhi Wa Min Khalfihi Yaĥfažūnahu Min 'Amri Al-Lahi  ۗ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yughayyiru Mā Biqawmin Ĥattá Yughayyirū Mā Bi'anfusihim  ۗ  Wa 'Idhā 'Arāda Al-Lahu Biqawmin Sū'āan Falā Maradda Lahu  ۚ  Wa Mā Lahum Min Dūnihi Min Wa A- َ013-011 He (- the Messenger) has companies (of angels) successively ranged before him and behind him. They guard him by the command of Allâh. Verily, Allâh does not change the condition of a people until they (first) change their ways and their minds. When Allâh decides upon punishing a people there is no averting it. (At that time) they have no helping friend apart from Him. لَه ُُ مُعَقِّبَات ٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِه ِِ يَحْفَظُونَه ُُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ  ۗ  وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْم ٍ سُوءا ً فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَه ُُ  ۚ  وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِه ِِ مِنْ وَال ٍ
Huwa Al-Ladhī Yurīkumu Al-Barqa Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan Wa Yunshi'u As-Saĥāba Ath-Thiqāla َ013-012 He it is, Who shows you the lightning to induce fear and to inspire hope (in you); and (it is He) Who raises the heavy clouds. هُوَ الَّذِي يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفا ً وَطَمَعا ً وَيُنْشِئُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ
Wa Yusabbiĥu Ar-Ra`du Biĥamdihi Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Min Khīfatihi Wa Yursilu Aş-Şawā`iqa Fayuşību Bihā Man Yashā'u Wa Hum Yujādilūna Fī Al-Lahi Wa Huwa Shadīdu Al-Miĥāli َ013-013 And the thunder glorifies Him with His true praise and (so do) the angels in awe of Him. He sends the thunderbolts and therewith smites whom He will. Yet they dispute about Allâh, though He is Mighty in prowess. وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِه ِِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِه ِِ وَيُرْسِلُ الصَّوَاعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُمْ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي اللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ الْمِحَالِ
Lahu Da`watu Al-Ĥaqqi Wa  ۖ  Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūnihi Lā Yastajībūna Lahum Bishay'in 'Illā Kabāsiţi Kaffayhi 'Ilá Al-Mā'i Liyablugha Fāhu Wa Mā Huwa Bibālighihi  ۚ  Wa Mā Du`ā'u Al-Kāfirīna 'Illā Fī Đalālin َ013-014 He alone deserves being called upon (in prayer). Those they call upon, apart from Him, give them no response whatsoever, but (these polytheists pray to them) like one who stretches forth both of his hands towards the water (wishing) that it may reach his mouth while it never reaches it. And the call of the disbelievers is nought but in vain. لَه ُُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ  ۖ  وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُمْ بِشَيْء ٍ إِلاَّ كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاه ُُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَالِغِه ِِ  ۚ  وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلاَل ٍ
Wa Lillahi Yasjudu Man As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Ţaw`āan Wa Karhāan Wa Žilāluhum Bil-Ghudūwi Wa Al-'Āşāli َ013-015 All those that are in the heavens and on the earth submit to Allâh alone; whether they choose to obey willingly or not, and likewise do their shadows, in the mornings and evenings, (and they are all subject to the divine law (- His law of nature). [Prostration] وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ طَوْعا ً وَكَرْها ً وَظِلاَلُهُمْ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالآصَالِ
Qul Man Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Quli Al-Lahu  ۚ  Qul 'Afāttakhadhtum Min Dūnihi 'Awliyā'a Lā Yamlikūna Li'nfusihim Naf`āan Wa Lā Đarrāan  ۚ  Qul Hal Yastawī Al-'A`má Wa Al-Başīru 'Am Hal Tastawī Až-Žulumātu Wa An-Nūr  ۗ  'Am Ja`alū Lillahi Shurakā'a Khalaqū Kakhalqihi Fatashābaha Al-Khalqu `Alayhim  ۚ  Quli Al-Lahu Khāliqu Kulli Shay'in Wa Huwa Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru َ013-016 Ask (them), `Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?´ (They will not be able to answer it, therefore) say, `It is Allâh.´ Say (again), `Have you, even then, taken, apart from Him (such other) helpers as have no power to receive good or avoid harm even for themselves?.´ Say, `Is the blind person as good as the person who can see? Or are the different kinds of darkness the same as the light? Or have they ascribed to Allâh associate partners who have created the things as He has created, with the result that the two creations look similar to them?´ Say, `Allâh (alone) is the Creator of all things and He is the One, the Most Supreme.´ قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ  ۚ  قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ~ِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لاَ يَمْلِكُونَ لِأنفُسِهِمْ نَفْعا ً وَلاَ ضَرّا ً  ۚ  قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّور  ۗ  أَمْ جَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُوا كَخَلْقِه ِِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ  ۚ  قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fasālat 'Awdiyatun Biqadarihā Fāĥtamala As-Saylu Zabadāan Rābīāan  ۚ  Wa Mimmā Yūqidūna `Alayhi Fī An-Nāri Abtighā'a Ĥilyatin 'Aw Matā`in Zabadun Mithluhu  ۚ  Kadhālika Yađribu Al-Lahu Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Al-Bāţila  ۚ  Fa'ammā Az-Zabadu Fayadh/habu Jufā'an  ۖ  Wa 'Ammā Mā Yanfa`u An-Nāsa Fayamkuthu Fī Al-'Arđi  ۚ  Kadhālika Yađribu Al-Lahu Al-'Amthāla َ013-017 He sends down some water from the clouds so that the water courses flow up to their capacity, and the torrent carries (on its surface) swelling foam. And out of that (metal) which the people heat in the fire seeking to make ornaments and other articles a similar foam rises to (the surface of) it. In this way does Allâh illustrate truth and falsehood. As for the foam it goes away as (does all) dross, but as to that which does good to mankind it stays in the earth. That is how Allâh sets forth excellent description of things. أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَة ٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحْتَمَلَ السَّيْلُ زَبَدا ً رَابِيا ً  ۚ  وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءَ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَاع ٍ زَبَد ٌ مِثْلُه ُُ  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ  ۚ  فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاء ً  ۖ  وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۚ  كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الأَمْثَالَ
Lilladhīna Astajābū Lirabbihimu Al-Ĥusná Wa  ۚ  Al-Ladhīna Lam Yastajībū Lahu Law 'Anna Lahum Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Jamī`āan Wa Mithlahu Ma`ahu Lāftadaw Bihi  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Lahum Sū'u Al-Ĥisābi Wa Ma'wāhum Jahannamu  ۖ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Mihādu َ013-018 There is an everlasting good (in store) for those who respond to the call of their Lord. And (as for) those who do not respond to His call, even though they had possessed all that is on the earth and as much more, they would certainly offer it to ransom (themselves) with it. It is these for whom an evil reckoning awaits and their refuge is Gehenna. What a wretched place to rest! لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمُ الْحُسْنَى  ۚ  وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَه ُُ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُمْ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعا ً وَمِثْلَه ُُ مَعَهُ لاَفْتَدَوْا بِهِ~ِ  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ  ۖ  وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
'Afaman Ya`lamu 'Annamā 'Unzila 'Ilayka Min Rabbika Al-Ĥaqqu Kaman Huwa 'A`má  ۚ  'Innamā Yatadhakkaru 'Ū Al-'Albābi َ013-019 How can then he, who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord, is the truth, be like the person who is blind? Only those possessed of pure and clear under-standing do give thought. أَفَمَنْ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ الْحَقُّ كَمَنْ هُوَ أَعْمَى  ۚ  إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ
Al-Ladhīna Yūfūna Bi`ahdi Al-Lahi Wa Lā Yanquđūna Al-Mīthāqa َ013-020 These are the persons who fulfill the covenant (they made) with Allâh and do not break their solemn pledge. الَّذِينَ يُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَلاَ يَنقُضُونَ الْمِيثَاقَ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yaşilūna Mā 'Amara Al-Lahu Bihi 'An Yūşala Wa Yakhshawna Rabbahum Wa Yakhāfūna Sū'a Al-Ĥisābi َ013-021 These are the persons who keep the ties (of love and relationship) Allâh has commanded to be kept, who hold their Lord in awe and who dread the evil reckoning. وَالَّذِينَ يَصِلُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ وَيَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيَخَافُونَ سُوءَ الْحِسَابِ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Abtighā'a Wajhi Rabbihim Wa 'Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Anfaqū Mimmā Razaqnāhum Sirrāan Wa `Alāniyatan Wa Yadra'ūna Bil-Ĥasanati As-Sayyi'ata 'Ūlā'ika Lahum `Uq Ad-Dāri َ013-022 And these are the persons who patiently persevere (in virtues and in guarding against evil), seek the favour of their Lord, and observe Prayer, and who spend of what We have provided them, secretly and openly, and who avert evil (by repaying it) with good. It is these who shall have the best end of the (present) abode - وَالَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرّا ً وَعَلاَنِيَة ً وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
Jannātu `Adnin Yadkhulūnahā Wa Man Şalaĥa Min 'Ābā'ihim Wa 'Azwājihim Wa Dhurrīyātihim Wa  ۖ  Al-Malā'ikatu Yadkhulūna `Alayhim Min Kulli Bābin َ013-023 Everlasting Gardens of Paradise where they themselves, and (also) such of them as are righteous and fit (for earning a place in Heaven) from among their fathers and their spouses and their children shall enter. And angels shall attend on them from every door (saying), جَنَّاتُ عَدْن ٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ  ۖ  وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ بَاب ٍ
Salāmun `Alaykum Bimā Şabartum  ۚ  Fani`ma `Uq Ad-Dāri َ013-024 `Peace be ever upon you because you patiently persevered (in virtues and guarded against sin).´ How excellent and blissful is the reward of this abode in the Hereafter! سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ  ۚ  فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yanquđūna `Ahda Al-Lahi Min Ba`di Mīthāqihi Wa Yaqţa`ūna Mā 'Amara Al-Lahu Bihi 'An Yūşala Wa Yufsidūna Fī  ۙ  Al-'Arđi 'Ūlā'ika Lahumu Al-La`natu Wa Lahum Sū'u Ad-Dāri َ013-025 But as for those who break the covenant (they made) with Allâh after having ratified it, and sever the ties Allâh has commanded to be kept and disturb the peace of the country. It is these on whom lies the disapproval (of Allâh) and they shall have an evil end of this abode. وَالَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مِيثَاقِه ِِ وَيَقْطَعُونَ مَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُوصَلَ وَيُفْسِدُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ  ۙ  أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمُ اللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوءُ الدَّارِ
Al-Lahu Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru  ۚ  Wa Fariĥū Bil-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fī Al-'Ākhirati 'Illā Matā`un َ013-026 Allâh amplifies the means of livelihood for such of (His) people as He will and straitens them (for such of them as He will). (Some) people are happy with the present life whereas the present life, as compared with the Hereafter, is but a fleeting (and insignificant) enjoyment. اللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ  ۚ  وَفَرِحُوا بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ مَتَاع ٌ
Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi 'Āyatun Min Rabbihi  ۗ  Qul 'Inna Al-Laha Yuđillu Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī 'Ilayhi Man 'Anāba َ013-027 And those who disbelieve say, `Why has no sign (of the destruction of his opponents) been revealed to this (Prophet) from his Lord?´ Say, `Verily, Allâh lets him go astray who wishes (to be left in error) and guides to Himself (only) those who turn again and again (to Him); وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّه ِِ  ۗ  قُلْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ أَنَابَ
Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Taţma'innu Qulūbuhum Bidhikri Al-Lahi  ۗ  'Alā Bidhikri Al-Lahi Taţma'innu Al-Qulūbu َ013-028 `Those who believe and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of Allâh. Look! it is in the remembrance of Allâh alone that the hearts really find peace; الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Ţūbá Lahum Wa Ĥusnu Ma'ābin َ013-029 `Those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, an enviable state (of bliss) is theirs (in this world), and an excellent and blissful place of return (awaits them in the Hereafter).´ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ طُوبَى لَهُمْ وَحُسْنُ مَآب ٍ
Kadhālika 'Arsalnāka Fī 'Ummatin Qad Khalat Min Qablihā 'Umamun Litatluwa `Alayhimu Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Wa Hum Yakfurūna Bir-Raĥmani  ۚ  Qul Huwa Rabbī Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi Matābi َ013-030 It is therefore, We have sent you to a people before whom other peoples have passed away, so that you may recite to them that (Qur´ân) which We have revealed to you, Yet they disbelieve in (God) the Most Gracious. Say, `He is my Lord, there is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship but He. In Him do I put my trust and to Him is my complete return.´ كَذَلِكَ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ فِي أُمَّة ٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا أُمَم ٌ لِتَتْلُوَ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَهُمْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِالرَّحْمَنِ  ۚ  قُلْ هُوَ رَبِّي لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ مَتَابِ
Wa Law 'Anna Qur'ānāan Suyyirat Bihi Al-Jibālu 'Aw Quţţi`at Bihi Al-'Arđu 'Aw Kullima Bihi Al-Mawtá  ۗ  Bal Lillahi Al-'Amru Jamī`āan  ۗ  'Afalam Yay'asi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'An Law Yashā'u Al-Lahu Lahadá An-Nāsa Jamī`āan  ۗ  Wa Lā Yazālu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Tuşībuhum Bimā Şana`ū Qāri`atun 'Aw Taĥullu Qarībāan Minrihim Ĥattá Ya'tiya Wa`du Al-Lahi  ۚ  'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yukhlifu Al-Mī`āda َ013-031 Had there been a Qur´ân whereby mountains could be moved, or whereby the earth could be torn asunder, or whereby the dead could be made to speak (it is this very Qur´ân indeed). Behold! the commandment and all power belongs to Allâh. Have not those who believe realized yet that if Allâh had (enforced) His will He would have indeed guided all mankind. And as for those who disbelieve, one calamity or the other will continue to befall them owing to their (evil) activities till you come to alight in their neighborhood, until the promise of Allâh (about the conquest of Makkah) comes to pass. Verily, Allâh will not fail (this) promise (of His). وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنا ً سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى  ۗ  بَلْ لِلَّهِ الأَمْرُ جَمِيعاً  ۗ  أَفَلَمْ يَيْئَسِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ لَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيعا ً  ۗ  وَلاَ يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا تُصِيبُهُمْ بِمَا صَنَعُوا قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبا ً مِنْ دَارِهِمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ وَعْدُ اللَّهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ
Wa Laqadi Astuhzi'a Birusulin Min Qablika Fa'amlaytu Lilladhīna Kafarū Thumma 'Akhadhtuhum  ۖ  Fakayfa Kāna `Iqābi َ013-032 And surely Messengers before you were treated scornfully. But (at first) I granted respite to those who disbelieved, after that I took them to task; and (behold) how (exemplary) was then My punishment. وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُل ٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ  ۖ  فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ
'Afaman Huwa Qā'imun `Alá Kulli Nafsin Bimā Kasabat  ۗ  Wa Ja`alū Lillahi Shurakā'a Qul Sammūhum  ۚ  'Am Tunabbi'ūnahu Bimā Lā Ya`lamu Fī Al-'Arđi 'Am Bižāhirin Mina Al-Qawli  ۗ  Bal Zuyyina Lilladhīna Kafarū Makruhum Wa Şuddū `Ani As-Sabīli  ۗ  Wa Man Yuđlili Al-Lahu Famā Lahu Min Hādin َ013-033 How shall He Who stands (watchful) over each and every soul as to what it accomplishes (let them go unpunished inspite of His knowledge)? And yet they ascribe to Allâh several partners. Say, `(Would) you name their attributes; and would you inform Him of something important which is on the earth but unknown to Him, or are these merely empty (and false) words?´ Nay, the fact of the matter is that their designing and their activities are made fair-seeming to the disbelievers (by satan), and they have been barred from the (right) path. And he whom Allâh forsakes has no guide. أَفَمَنْ هُوَ قَائِمٌ عَلَى كُلِّ نَفْس ٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ  ۗ  وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ قُلْ سَمُّوهُمْ  ۚ  أَمْ تُنَبِّئُونَه ُُ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي الأَرْضِ أَمْ بِظَاهِر ٍ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ  ۗ  بَلْ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مَكْرُهُمْ وَصُدُّوا عَنِ السَّبِيلِ  ۗ  وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَه ُُ مِنْ هَاد ٍ
Lahum `Adhābun Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā  ۖ  Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Ashaqqu  ۖ  Wa Mā Lahum Mina Al-Lahi Min Wāqin َ013-034 They are doomed to punishment in the present life (and the next). But the punishment of the Hereafter will of course, be graver still. They will have no saviour at all from (the punishment of) Allâh. لَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا  ۖ  وَلَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ  ۖ  وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاق ٍ
Mathalu Al-Jannati Allatī Wu`ida Al-Muttaqūna  ۖ  Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru  ۖ  'Ukuluhā Dā'imun Wa Žilluhā  ۚ  Tilka `Uq Al-Ladhīna Attaqaw  ۖ  Wa `Uq Al-Kāfirīna An-Nāru َ013-035 The likeness of (the Garden of) Paradise which has been promised to those who become secure against sin and are dutiful is that (of a garden) served with running streams (to keep it green and flourishing). It has ever-lasting fruit and (so will be) its shade. Such is the end of those who guard against sins but the end of disbelievers is the Fire. مَثَلُ الْجَنَّةِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ  ۖ  تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ  ۖ  أُكُلُهَا دَائِم ٌ وَظِلُّهَا  ۚ  تِلْكَ عُقْبَى الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا  ۖ  وَعُقْبَى الْكَافِرِينَ النَّارُ
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Ātaynāhumu Al-Kitāba Yafraĥūna Bimā 'Unzila  ۖ  'Ilayka Wa Mina Al-'Aĥzābi Man Yunkiru  ۚ  Ba`đahu Qul 'Innamā 'Umirtu 'An 'A`buda Al-Laha Wa Lā 'Ushrika  ۚ  Bihi 'Ilayhi 'Ad`ū Wa 'Ilayhi Ma'ābi َ013-036 And those to whom We have given the insight of the Book (- the Qur´ân) rejoice at what has been revealed to you. But there are some factions (of other religions) who deny some of its parts. Say, `I have only been commanded to worship Allâh and not to associate (anything) with Him. To Him do I call (you) and to Him is my return.´ وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  وَمِنَ الأَحْزَابِ مَنْ يُنكِرُ بَعْضَه ُُ  ۚ  قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَلاَ أُشْرِكَ بِهِ~ِ  ۚ  إِلَيْهِ أَدْعُو وَإِلَيْهِ مَآبِ
Wa Kadhalika 'Anzalnāhu Ĥukmāan `Arabīyāan  ۚ  Wa La'ini Attaba`ta 'Ahwā'ahum Ba`damā Jā'aka Mina Al-`Ilmi Mā Laka Mina Al-Lahi Min Wa Līyin Wa Lā Wāqin َ013-037 (Just as We revealed other Scriptures) so have We revealed it (- the Qur´ân) as a clear judgment (couched) in Arabic and if you (O reader!) were to follow their vain desires after the knowledge has come to you you will have not a single helper nor a saviour against (the punishment of) Allâh. وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاه ُُ حُكْماً عَرَبِيّا ً  ۚ  وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَمَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيّ ٍ وَلاَ وَاق ٍ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Rusulāan Min Qablika Wa Ja`alnā Lahum 'Azwājāan Wa Dhurrīyatan  ۚ  Wa Mā Kāna Lirasūlin 'An Ya'tiya Bi'āyatin 'Illā Bi'idhni Al-Lahi  ۗ  Likulli 'Ajalin Kitābun َ013-038 And most surely, We sent before you many Messengers and We gave them wives and children. Yet it was not possible for a Messenger to bring a sign but by Allâh´s command. For everything that has an appointed term, there is a (divine) law (to regulate it). وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلا ً مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ أَزْوَاجا ً وَذُرِّيَّة ً  ۚ  وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُولٍ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِآيَة ٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ  ۗ  لِكُلِّ أَجَل ٍ كِتَاب ٌ
Yamĥū Al-Lahu Mā Yashā'u Wa Yuthbitu  ۖ  Wa `Indahu 'Ummu Al-Kitābi َ013-039 Allâh repeals (the law relating to punishment) what He will and He establishes and confirms (what He pleases) and with Him is the source and origin of all laws and commandments. يَمْحُوا اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ  ۖ  وَعِنْدَهُ~ُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ
Wa 'In Mā Nuriyannaka Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Na`iduhum 'Aw Natawaffayannaka Fa'innamā `Alayka Al-Balāghu Wa `Alaynā Al-Ĥisābu َ013-040 We will indeed let you witness (O Muhammad! the realisation of) some of the punishments with which We threaten them (- the disbelievers) with before We cause you to die. You are responsible only for the delivery (of the Message) and the reckoning is Our Own responsibility. وَإِنْ مَا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ
'Awalam Yaraw 'Annā Na'tī Al-'Arđa Nanquşuhā Min 'Aţrāfihā Wa  ۚ  Allāhu Yaĥkumu Lā Mu`aqqiba Liĥukmihi  ۚ  Wa Huwa Sarī`u Al-Ĥisābi َ013-041 Do they not see that We are invading the land (of disbelief and are gradually) reducing and curtailing it from its sides? Allâh judges the matter, there is none to reverse His judgment. Swift is He at calling to account. أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لاَ مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِه ِِ  ۚ  وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ
Wa Qad Makara Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Falillāhi Al-Makru Jamī`āan  ۖ  Ya`lamu Mā Taksibu Kullu Nafsin  ۗ  Wa Saya`lamu Al-Kuffāru Liman `Uq Ad-Dāri َ013-042 And their predecessors did devise plans (against the truth) but all effective devising (and the success) of the plans rests with Allâh. He knows what every person accomplishes. The disbelievers will soon come to know who will gain the (good and successful) end of this abode. وَقَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلَّهِ الْمَكْرُ جَمِيعا ً  ۖ  يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ  ۗ  وَسَيَعْلَمُ الْكُفَّارُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
Wa Yaqūlu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lasta Mursalāan  ۚ  Qul Kafá Bil-Lahi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum Wa Man `Indahu `Ilmu Al-Kitābi َ013-043 And those who disbelieve say, `You are not a sent one (of God)´. Say, `Allâh suffices as a Witness between me and you, and (so are) those who possess knowledge of the Divine Book.´ وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَسْتَ مُرْسَلا ً  ۚ  قُلْ كَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدا ً بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَمَنْ عِنْدَه ُُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ
