11) سُورَة هُود

'Alif-Lām-Rā Kitābun 'Uĥkimat 'Āyātuhu Thumma Fuşşilat Min Ladun Ĥakīmin Khabīrin َ011-001 Alif Lâm Râ. (This is) a Book, whose verses have been characterised by wisdom and they have been explained in detail. It is from One All-Wise, All-Aware (God). أَلِف-لَام-رَا كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ آيَاتُه ُُ ثُمَّ  ۚ  فُصِّلَتْ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ خَبِير ٍ
'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha  ۚ  'Innanī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Wa Bashīrun َ011-002 (Say, O Prophet!) `You worship none but Allâh, (and) I am indeed to you a Warner (warning you against the evil consequences of disbelief and evil doings), and a Bearer of good tidings (to the righteous) from Him. أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُوا إِلاَّ اللَّهَ  ۚ  إِنَّنِي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِير ٌ وَبَشِير ٌ
Wa 'Ani Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi Yumatti`kum Matā`āan Ĥasanāan 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan Wa Yu'uti Kulla Dhī Fađlin Fađlahu  ۖ  Wa 'In Tawallaw Fa'innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin Kabīrin َ011-003 `And that you seek the protection of your Lord (against your faults) and then turn to Him (in repentance). He will provide for you a goodly provision (in this life) till an appointed term. And He will grant of His abounding bounty to every one possessed of abundant merit. And if you turn away, then surely I fear the punishment of a great (dreadful) Day for you. وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُمْ مَتَاعاً حَسَنا ً إِلَى أَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْل ٍ فَضْلَه ُُ  ۖ  وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْم ٍ كَبِير ٍ
'Ilá Al-Lahi Marji`ukum  ۖ  Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun َ011-004 `To Allâh is your return and He is the Possessor of full power to do all that He will.´ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ  ۖ  وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
'Alā 'Innahum Yathnūna Şudūrahum Liyastakhfū Minhu  ۚ  'Alā Ĥīna Yastaghshūna Thiyābahum Ya`lamu Mā Yusirrūna Wa Mā Yu`linūna  ۚ  'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri َ011-005 Behold! they fold up their bosoms (refusing to accept the truth with open minds and in an effort) that they may hide (their enmity and hatred) from Him. Behold even (as they try to hide their true selves) when they wrap themselves in their garments (so that they might not see Divine signs, nor hear His Messages), He knows what they conceal and what they reveal. He is Well-Aware of what is in the (depths of their) hearts. أَلاَ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ  ۚ  أَلاَ حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Wa Mā Min Dābbatin Al-'Arđi 'Illā `Alá Al-Lahi Rizquhā Wa Ya`lamu Mustaqarrahā Wa Mustawda`ahā  ۚ  Kullun Fī Kitābin Mubīnin َ011-006 There is not a single moving creature on the earth but its sustenance rests with Allâh. He knows its permanent lodging place and its temporary sojourn. Everyone is governed by a clear law. وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّة ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا  ۚ  كُلّ ٌ فِي كِتَاب ٍ مُبِين ٍ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Wa Kāna `Arshuhu `Alá Al-Mā'i Liyabluwakum 'Ayyukum 'Aĥsanu `Amalāan  ۗ  Wa La'in Qulta 'Innakum Mabthūna Min Ba`di Al-Mawti Layaqūlanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun َ011-007 And it is He Who created the heavens and the earth in six aeons and His Throne (of power ever) rests on water (to which the life is due), that He might show whoever of you is best in deeds and conduct. And if you were to say (to them), `You are indeed going to be raised after death,´ those who disbelieve will certainly say, `This is naught but an obvious hoax.´ وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّام ٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُه ُُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلا ً  ۗ  وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ إِنَّكُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ سِحْر ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Wa La'in 'Akhkharnā `Anhumu Al-`Adhāba 'Ilá 'Ummatin Ma`dūdatin Layaqūlunna Mā Yaĥbisuhu  ۗ  'Alā Yawma Ya'tīhim Laysa Maşrūfāan `Anhum Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn َ011-008 Infact, if We defer the punishment from them till a reckoned time they would certainly ask, `What is that which withholds it?´ Behold! the day this (punishment) befalls them, it shall not be such as to be averted from them. And that (punishment) which they used to hold in scorn, shall overwhelm them. وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِلَى أُمَّة ٍ مَعْدُودَة ٍ لَيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ~ُ  ۗ  أَلاَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفاً عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه ِِ يَسْتَهْزِئُون
Wa La'in 'Adhaq Al-'Insāna Minnā Raĥmatan Thumma Naza`nāhā Minhu 'Innahu Laya'ūsun Kafūrun َ011-009 And if We bestow upon a human being mercy from Us and then withdraw it from him, he is totally despairing (and) completely ungrateful. وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا الإِنسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَة ً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّه ُُ لَيَئُوس ٌ كَفُور ٌ
Wa La'in 'Adhaqnāhu Na`mā'a Ba`da Đarrā'a Massat/hu Layaqūlanna Dhahaba As-Sayyi'ātu `Annī  ۚ  'Innahu Lafariĥun Fakhūrun َ011-010 And if We confer upon him (Our) blessings after adversity has afflicted him, he will certainly say, `Gone are all my woes (now).´ He is, of course, exultant and boastful (over a little favour). وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاه ُُ نَعْمَاءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ لَفَرِح ٌ فَخُور ٌ
'Illā Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Ūlā'ika Lahum Maghfiratun Wa 'Ajrun Kabīrun َ011-011 Such, however, is not the case with those who steadfastly persevere (in virtues) and do deeds of righteousness. It is these for whom there awaits protection and a great reward. إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُوْلَائِكَ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَة ٌ وَأَجْر ٌ كَبِير ٌ
Fala`allaka Tārikun Ba`đa Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayka Wa Đā'iqun Bihi Şadruka 'An Yaqūlū Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi Kanzun 'Aw Jā'a Ma`ahu Malakun  ۚ  'Innamā 'Anta Nadhīrun Wa  ۚ  Allāhu `Alá Kulli Shay'in Wa Kīlun َ011-012 (The disbelievers vainly hope that) you may omit a part of the revelations made to you; and that you will be distressed and worried because of the fact that they say, `Why has not a treasure been sent down to him, or why has no angel come with him?´ (This is far from you that you do such things,) for you are only a Warner (against the evil consequences of disbelief and rebellion), and Allâh is Guardian over every thing. فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِك ٌ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيْكَ وَضَائِق ٌ بِه ِِ صَدْرُكَ أَنْ يَقُولُوا لَوْلاَ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَه ُُ مَلَك ٌ  ۚ  إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ نَذِير ٌ  ۚ  وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ وَكِيل ٌ
'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu  ۖ  Qul Fa'tū Bi`ashri Suwarin Mithlihi Muftarayātin Wa Ad`ū Mani Astaţa`tum Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna َ011-013 Do they say, `He has forged this (Qur´ân)?´ Say (to them in reply), `If you are truthful (in your objection then) bring ten forged chapters like it, calling upon whom you can (for your help) apart from Allâh.´ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاه ُُ  ۖ  قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْرِ سُوَر ٍ مِثْلِه ِِ مُفْتَرَيَات ٍ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Fa'illam Yastajībū Lakum Fā`lamū 'Annamā 'Unzila Bi`ilmi Al-Lahi Wa 'An Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa  ۖ  Fahal 'Antum Muslimūna َ011-014 But if they do not respond to you, then know that this (Qur´ân) which has been revealed is (replete) with (that which is only within) Allâh´s knowledge and that there is no other, cannot be and will never be One worthy of worship save Him. Will you then be the submitting ones (after knowing all this)? فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ هُوَ  ۖ  فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dunyā Wa Zīnatahā Nuwaffi 'Ilayhim 'A`mālahum Fīhā Wa Hum Fīhā Lā Yubkhasūna َ011-015 Those who desire (the provisions of) this present life and its ornature, We will repay them in full (the reward) for their deeds in this (very life) and they will be made to suffer no loss therein. مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لاَ يُبْخَسُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Laysa Lahum Al-'Ākhirati 'Illā An-Nāru  ۖ  Wa Ĥabiţa Mā Şana`ū Fīhā Wa Bāţilun Mā Kānū Ya`malūna َ011-016 It is these for whom waits nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire. And all that they do for the sake of this (life) shall come to naught (in the next) and all their activities shall prove vain and futile. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ النَّارُ  ۖ  وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا فِيهَا وَبَاطِل ٌ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
'Afaman Kāna `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbihi Wa Yatlūhu Shāhidun Minhu Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Yu'uminūna Bihi  ۚ  Wa Man Yakfur Bihi Mina Al-'Aĥzābi Fālnnāru Maw`iduhu  ۚ  Falā Takun Fī Miryatin Minhu  ۚ  'Innahu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Yu'uminūna َ011-017 How can he, who stands upon a clear proof from his Lord and (to testify to whose truth) a witness from Him follows him and (to witness whom) he is preceded by the Book of Moses, which was a guide and a mercy, (be an impostor)? Those (who keep in view all these clear proofs from their Lord) believe in him (- this Messenger of God). And whoever of these parties disbelieves in him, the Fire is his promised place. So (O reader!) be you not in doubt about this (Qur´ân). It is indeed the Truth. It is from your Lord, but most people do not believe. أَفَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّه ِِ وَيَتْلُوه ُُ شَاهِد ٌ مِنْهُ وَمِنْ قَبْلِه ِِ كِتَابُ مُوسَى إِمَاما ً وَرَحْمَةً  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِه ِِ  ۚ  وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِه ِِ مِنَ الأَحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُه ُُ  ۚ  فَلاَ تَكُنْ فِي مِرْيَة ٍ مِنْهُ  ۚ  إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan  ۚ  'Ūlā'ika Yu`rađūna `Alá Rabbihim Wa Yaqūlu Al-'Ash/hādu Hā'uulā' Al-Ladhīna Kadhabū `Alá Rabbihim  ۚ  'Alā La`natu Al-Lahi `Alá Až-Žālimīna َ011-018 And who is more unjust than those who forge lies in the name of Allâh. They shall be produced before their Lord and the witnesses will all say, `These are they who lied against their Lord.´ Beware! the disapproval of Allâh lies upon the unjust, وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِباً  ۚ  أُوْلَائِكَ يُعْرَضُونَ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُولُ الأَشْهَادُ هَاؤُلاَء الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ  ۚ  أَلاَ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
Al-Ladhīna Yaşuddūna `An Sabīli Al-Lahi Wa Yabghūnahā `Iwajāan Wa Hum Bil-'Ākhirati Hum Kāfirūna َ011-019 Those who keep (the people) away from the path of Allâh and seek to paint it as crooked, it is these who are the disbelievers in the Hereafter. الَّذِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجا ً وَهُمْ بِالآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Lam Yakūnū Mu`jizīna Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Kāna Lahum Min Dūni Al-Lahi Min 'Awliyā'a  ۘ  Yuđā`afu Lahumu Al-`Adhābu  ۚ  Mā Kānū Yastaţī`ūna As-Sam`a Wa Mā Kānū Yubşirūna َ011-020 Such cannot frustrate (God´s designs) in the land nor is there any protecting friend for them apart from Allâh. They shall have their punishment doubled. They could neither bear to hear (the truth) nor did they see (it). أُوْلَائِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا مُعْجِزِينَ فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ  ۘ  يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ  ۚ  مَا كَانُوا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ السَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُوا يُبْصِرُونَ
'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Khasirū 'Anfusahum Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna َ011-021 It is these who have suffered a loss in respect of their own souls and that (false deities) which they forged have failed them. أُوْلَائِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
Lā Jarama 'Annahum Al-'Ākhirati Humu Al-'Akhsarūna َ011-022 No doubt, it is these who shall be the worst losers in the Hereafter. لاَ جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ هُمُ الأَخْسَرُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa 'Akhbatū 'Ilá Rabbihim 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati  ۖ  Hum Fīhā Khālidūna َ011-023 Verily, those who believe and do deeds of righteousness and humble themselves before their Lord, it is these who are the owners of Paradise, they shall abide in it. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَأَخْبَتُوا إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ  ۖ  هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Mathalu Al-Farīqayni Kāl'a`má Wa Al-'Aşammi Wa Al-Başīri Wa As-Samī`i  ۚ  Hal Yastawiyāni Mathalāan  ۚ  'Afalā Tadhakkarūna َ011-024 The case of these two groups (of disbelievers and believers) is like (the case of) the blind and the deaf (on the one hand) and the seeing and the hearing (on the other). Can the case of the two be alike? Will you not even then take heed? مَثَلُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَالأَعْمَى وَالأَصَمِّ وَالْبَصِيرِ وَالسَّمِيعِ  ۚ  هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلاً  ۚ  أَفَلاَ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Nūĥāan 'Ilá Qawmihi 'Innī Lakum Nadhīrun Mubīnun َ011-025 And (similar were the circumstances when) We sent Noah to his people (and he said), `Verily, I am a plain Warner to you. وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحا ً إِلَى قَوْمِهِ~ِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِير ٌ مُبِين ٌ
'An Lā Ta`budū 'Illā Al-Laha  ۖ  'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin 'Alīmin َ011-026 `(And my Message is) that you worship none but Allâh; otherwise I fear lest there should overtake you the punishment of a woeful day.´ أَنْ لاَ تَعْبُدُوا إِلاَّ اللَّهَ  ۖ  إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ أَلِيم ٍ
Faqāla Al-Mala'u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Qawmihi Mā Narāka 'Illā Basharāan Mithlanā Wa Mā Narāka Attaba`aka 'Illā Al-Ladhīna Hum 'Arādhilunā Bādiya Ar-Ra'yi Wa Mā Nará Lakum `Alaynā Min Fađlin Bal Nažunnukumdhibīna َ011-027 Thereupon the chiefs of his people who had disbelieved said, `We find you but a human being like ourselves, and we find none have followed you except those who are the meanest of us, having only superficial views. And we find you (and your followers) possessing no superiority over us. Rather we take you all to be liars.´ فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِه ِِ مَا نَرَاكَ إِلاَّ بَشَرا ً مِثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَاكَ اتَّبَعَكَ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ وَمَا نَرَى لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْل ٍ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَاذِبِينَ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa 'Ātānī Raĥmatan Min `Indihi Fa`ummiyat `Alaykum 'Anulzimukumūhā Wa 'Antum Lahā Kārihūna َ011-028 He said, `O my people, have you considered that if I stand on a clear proof from my Lord and He has conferred upon me a great mercy (- Prophethood) from Himself and it has been obscured to you, shall we thrust it upon you (to accept) while you are averse to it? قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَآتَانِي رَحْمَة ً مِنْ عِنْدِه ِِ فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ لَهَا كَارِهُونَ
Wa Yāqawmi Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi Mālāan 'In  ۖ  'Ajriya 'Illā `Alá Al-Lahi Wa Mā  ۚ  'Anā Biţāridi Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Innahum  ۚ  Mulāqū Rabbihim Wa Lakinnī 'Arākum Qawmāan Tajhalūna َ011-029 `And O my people! I ask you in return for this (- my teaching) no wealth. My reward is due only from Allâh. I am not at all one to drive away those who believe, for they are going to meet their Lord (to be blessed) and I see you are a people who are acting through lack of knowledge. وَيَاقَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالا ً إِنْ  ۖ  أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَمَا  ۚ  أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّهُمْ  ۚ  مُلاَقُو رَبِّهِمْ وَلَكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْما ً تَجْهَلُونَ
Wa Yāqawmi Man Yanşurunī Mina Al-Lahi 'In Ţaradtuhum 'Afalā  ۚ  Tadhakkarūna َ011-030 `And O my people! who would save me from (the punishment of) Allâh if I were to drive them away? Will you not then consider? وَيَاقَوْمِ مَنْ يَنصُرُنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ طَرَدْتُهُمْ أَفَلاَ  ۚ  تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wa Lā 'Aqūlu Lakum `InKhazā'inu Al-Lahi Wa Lā 'A`lamu Al-Ghayba Wa Lā 'Aqūlu 'Innī Malakun Wa Lā 'Aqūlu Lilladhīna Tazdarī 'A`yunukum Lan Yu'utiyahumu Al-Lahu Khayrāan  ۖ  Al-Lahu 'A`lamu Bimā Fī 'Anfusihim  ۖ  'Innī 'Idhāan Lamina Až-Žālimīna َ011-031 `And I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allâh, nor that I know the hidden realities, nor do I say that I am an angel, nor do I say concerning those whom your eyes despise that Allâh will not grant them any good. Allâh knows best whatever is in their minds. I shall indeed be of the unjust (if I say anything of the kind).´ وَلاَ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِي خَزَائِنُ اللَّهِ وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلاَ أَقُولُ إِنِّي مَلَك ٌ وَلاَ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِي أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ خَيْرا ً  ۖ  اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ  ۖ  إِنِّي إِذا ً لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Qālū Yā Nūĥu Qad Jādaltanā Fa'aktharta Jidālanā Fa'tinā Bimā Ta`idunā 'In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna َ011-032 They said, `Noah! you have disputed with us long and have disputed with us many a time; bring down on us now that (punishment) you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones.´ قَالُوا يَانُوحُ قَدْ جَادَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَالَنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Qāla 'Innamā Ya'tīkum Bihi Al-Lahu 'In Shā'a Wa Mā 'Antum Bimu`jizīna َ011-033 He said, `Allâh alone will bring it down on you if He will and you cannot frustrate Him (in His purpose). قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُمْ بِهِ اللَّهُ إِنْ شَاءَ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Wa Lā Yanfa`ukum Nuşĥī 'In 'Aradtu 'An 'Anşaĥa Lakum 'In Kāna Al-Lahu Yurīdu 'An Yughwiyakum  ۚ  Huwa Rabbukum Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna َ011-034 `And my sincere counsel will do you no good, choose as I may to counsel you in case Allâh intends to destroy you. (All the same,) He is your Lord and to Him you shall be made to return.´ وَلاَ يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِي إِنْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُغْوِيَكُمْ  ۚ  هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu  ۖ  Qul 'Ini Aftaraytuhu Fa`alayya 'Ijrāmī Wa 'Anā Barī'un Mimmā Tujrimūna َ011-035 Or do they say, `He (- Muhammad) has forged it.´ Say (O Muhammad!), `If I have forged it then on me will be the penalty of my crime and I am quit of (all the responsibilities of) the sin you commit (by denying me).´ أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاه ُُ  ۖ  قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُه ُُ فَعَلَيَّ إِجْرَامِي وَأَنَا بَرِيء ٌ مِمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ
Wa 'Ūĥiya 'Ilá Nūĥin 'Annahu Lan Yu'umina Min Qawmika 'Illā Man Qad 'Āmana Falā Tabta'is Bimā Kānū Yaf`alūna َ011-036 And it was revealed to Noah, `No one of your people besides those who have so far believed, will henceforth believe, therefore grieve not over what they have been doing. وَأُوحِيَ إِلَى نُوحٍ أَنَّه ُُ لَنْ يُؤْمِنَ مِنْ قَوْمِكَ إِلاَّ مَنْ قَدْ آمَنَ فَلاَ تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
Wa Aşna`i Al-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Wa Lā Tukhāţibnī Fī Al-Ladhīna Žalamū  ۚ  'Innahum Mughraqūna َ011-037 `And build the Ark under Our eyes and in accordance with Our revelation, and address not (to plead with) Me in favour of those who act unjustly. Verily, they are doomed to be drowned.´ وَاصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلاَ تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا  ۚ  إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ
Wa Yaşna`u Al-Fulka Wa Kullamā Marra `Alayhi Mala'un Min Qawmihi Sakhirū Minhu  ۚ  Qāla 'In Taskharū Minnā Fa'innā Naskharu Minkum Kamā Taskharūna َ011-038 And he set himself to making the Ark and every time the chiefs of his people passed by him they looked down upon him, (thereupon) he said, `Surely, we (in our turn) will look down on you just as you look down (on us now). وَيَصْنَعُ الْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأ ٌ مِنْ قَوْمِه ِِ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُ  ۚ  قَالَ إِنْ تَسْخَرُوا مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنْكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ
Fasawfa Ta`lamūna Man Ya'tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Yaĥillu `Alayhi `Adhābun Muqīmun َ011-039 `You shall soon know for yourself who it is who will be overtaken by the punishment that will disgrace him, and on whom descends a long lasting penalty.´ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيه ِِ عَذَاب ٌ يُخْزِيه ِِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَاب ٌ مُقِيم ٌ
Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'a 'Amrunā Wa Fāra At-Tannūru Qulnā Aĥmil Fīhā Min Kullin Zawjayni Athnayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Man Sabaqa `Alayhi Al-Qawlu Wa Man 'Āmana  ۚ  Wa Mā 'Āmana Ma`ahu 'Illā Qalīlun َ011-040 (Thus it was) till Our command (about the punishment) came and waters of the springs (of the valley) swelled and gushed forth, We said, `Embark in it two of every kind (needed) male and female and (all the members of) your family except those about the destruction of whom (Our) verdict has already been announced and (embark in it) also those who believe.´ Yet there had not believed in him excepting a few. حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلّ ٍ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلاَّ مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ  ۚ  وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ قَلِيل ٌ
Wa Qāla Arkabū Fīhā Bismi Al-Lahi Majrāhā Wa Mursāhā  ۚ  'Inna Rabbī Laghafūrun Raĥīmun َ011-041 And (Noah) said, `Embark in it. With the name of Allâh and His help be its course and its mooring. Surely, my Lord is indeed Great Protector, Ever Merciful.´ وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Wa Hiya Tajrī Bihim Fī Mawjin Kāljibāli Wa Nādá Nūĥun Abnahu Wa Kāna Fī Ma`zilin Yā Bunayya Arkab Ma`anā Wa Lā Takun Ma`a Al-Kāfirīna َ011-042 Now this (Ark) moved carrying them amidst waves as (high as) mountains. And Noah called out to his son who was (standing) aloof, `My dear son, embark with us and do not be with the disbelievers.´ وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْج ٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَى نُوح ٌ ابْنَه ُُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِل ٍ يَابُنَيَّ ارْكَبْ مَعَنَا وَلاَ تَكُنْ مَعَ الْكَافِرِينَ
Qāla Sa'āwī 'Ilá Jabalin Ya`şimunī Mina Al-Mā'i  ۚ  Qāla Lā `Āşima Al-Yawma Min 'Amri Al-Lahi 'Illā Man Raĥima  ۚ  Wa Ĥāla Baynahumā Al-Mawju Fakāna Mina Al-Mughraqīna َ011-043 He said, `I shall betake myself to a mountain for refuge which will protect me from this water.´ (Noah) said, `There is no protection (for anyone) this day, from the decree of Allâh (about this punishment), but he (will be safe) on whom He has mercy.´ And (lo!) a wave separated the two so he (- Noah´s son) was among the drowned. قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَى جَبَل ٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ  ۚ  قَالَ لاَ عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ مَنْ رَحِمَ  ۚ  وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ
Wa Qīla Yā 'Arđu Abla`ī Mā'aki Wa Yā Samā'u 'Aqli`ī Wa Ghīđa Al-Mā'u Wa Quđiya Al-'Amru Wa Astawat `Alá Al-Jūdīyi  ۖ  Wa Qīla Bu`dāan Lilqawmi Až-Žālimīna َ011-044 And it was said, `O earth! swallow back your water, and O cloud! abate and stop (pouring).´ So the water was made to subside and the matter was decided. And this (Ark) came to rest on (the mount) Al-Jûdî. And the word went forth, `Away with the unjust people!´ وَقِيلَ يَاأَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَاسَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْدا ً  ۖ  لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Wa Nādá Nūĥun Rabbahu Faqāla Rabbi 'Inna Abnī Min 'Ahlī Wa 'Inna Wa`daka Al-Ĥaqqu Wa 'Anta 'Aĥkamu Al-Ĥākimīna َ011-045 And Noah called to his Lord and said , `My Lord! my son belongs to my family and surely Your promise is (also) true; yet You are the Most Just of the judges.´ وَنَادَى نُوح ٌ رَبَّه ُُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنْتَ أَحْكَمُ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Qāla Yā Nūĥu 'Innahu Laysa Min 'Ahlika  ۖ  'Innahu `Amalun Ghayru Şāliĥin  ۖ  Falā Tas'alni Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun  ۖ  'Innī 'A`ižuka 'An Takūna Mina Al-Jāhilīna َ011-046 (The Lord) said, `He decidedly does not belong to your family as he is given to unrighteous conduct, so do not ask of Me that of which you have no knowledge. I advise you not to be of those wanting in knowledge.´ قَالَ يَانُوحُ إِنَّه ُُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّه ُُ  ۖ  عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِح ٍ فَلاَ  ۖ  تَسْأَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ إِنِّي  ۖ  أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
Qāla Rabbi 'Innī 'A`ūdhu Bika 'An 'As'alaka Mā Laysa Lī Bihi `Ilmun  ۖ  Wa 'Illā Taghfir Lī Wa Tarĥamnī 'Akun Mina Al-Khāsirīna َ011-047 He said, `My Lord! I beg You to protect me that I should ask You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy on me I shall be of the losers.´ قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِه ِِ عِلْم ٌ  ۖ  وَإِلاَّ تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُنْ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Qīla Yā Nūĥu Ahbiţ Bisalāmin Minnā Wa Barakātin `Alayka Wa `Alá 'Umamin Mimman Ma`aka  ۚ  Wa 'Umamun Sanumatti`uhum Thumma Yamassuhum Minnā `Adhābun 'Alīmun َ011-048 There came the command, `Noah! descend (from the Ark) with peace from Us and (varied) blessings (We shall bestow ) on you and upon peoples (to be born) of those with you. There shall be other peoples whom We shall grant provisions (of this world for a time), then they will receive from Us a grievous punishment (as a result of their transgression).´ قِيلَ يَا نُوحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلاَم ٍ مِنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى أُمَم ٍ مِمَّنْ مَعَكَ  ۚ  وَأُمَم ٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُمْ مِنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ
Tilka Min 'Anbā'i Al-Ghaybi Nūĥīhā 'Ilayka  ۖ  Mā Kunta Ta`lamuhā 'Anta Wa Lā Qawmuka Min Qabli Hādhā  ۖ  Fāşbir  ۖ  'Inna Al-`Āqibata Lilmuttaqīna َ011-049 These (announcements full of warnings) are some of the important news of the hidden realities We have revealed them to you. You did not know them, neither you, nor your people before this. Therefore, persevere (in doing good), for those who become secure against evil shall surely have the (good and successful) end. تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَا إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَا أَنْتَ وَلاَ قَوْمُكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَذَا  ۖ  فَاصْبِرْ  ۖ  إِنَّ العَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
Wa 'Ilá `Ādin 'Akhāhum Hūdāan  ۚ  Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu  ۖ  'In 'Antum 'Illā Muftarūna َ011-050 And (We sent) to (the tribe of) ´Ad, their kinsman Hûd (as a Messenger). He said, `My people! worship Allâh (alone). You have no One worthy of worship other than He. You are but fabricators (of lies by assigning partners with Him in His sovereignty). وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودا ً  ۚ  قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَه ٍٍ غَيْرُهُ~ُ إِنْ  ۖ  أَنْتُمْ إِلاَّ مُفْتَرُونَ
Yā Qawmi Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi 'Ajrāan  ۖ  'In 'Ajriya 'Illā `Alá Al-Ladhī Faţaranī  ۚ  'Afalā Ta`qilūna َ011-051 `My people! I ask of you no reward for this (teaching). My reward is not due but from Him Who created me. Will you not then understand? يَا قَوْمِ لاَ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرا ً  ۖ  إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي  ۚ  أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ
Wa Yā Qawmi Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi Yursili As-Samā'a `Alaykum Midrārāan Wa Yazidkum Qūwatan 'Ilá Qūwatikum Wa Lā Tatawallaw Mujrimīna َ011-052 `And my people! seek protection of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance. (If you do so) He will send clouds over you pouring down abundance of rain, and He will add more strength to your (present) strength. And do not turn away (from Him) as those who sever their ties (with God).´ وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارا ً وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّة ً إِلَى قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَوَلَّوْا مُجْرِمِينَ
Qālū Yā Hūdu Mā Ji'tanā Bibayyinatin Wa Mā Naĥnu Bitārikī 'Ālihatinā `An Qawlika Wa Mā Naĥnu Laka Bimu'uminīna َ011-053 They said, `O Hûd, you have brought us no clear proof (about your truthfulness), and we will not forsake our gods (merely) for your saying, nor are we going to be believers in you at all. قَالُوا يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَة ٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَنْ قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
'In Naqūlu 'Illā A`tarāka Ba`đu 'Ālihatinā Bisū'in  ۗ  Qāla 'Innī 'Ush/hidu Al-Laha Wa Ash/hadū 'Annī Barī'un Mimmā Tushrikūna َ011-054 `All that we can say is that some of our gods have smitten you with evil (rendering you insane).´ (Hûd) said, `Surely I call Allâh to witness; and do you also bear witness that I have nothing to do with the gods you associate (with Allâh) إِنْ نَقُولُ إِلاَّ اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوء ٍ  ۗ  قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَاشْهَدُوا أَنِّي بَرِيء ٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ
Min Dūnihi  ۖ  Fakīdūnī Jamī`āan Thumma Lā Tunžirūni َ011-055 `Apart from Him, so you and all (your gods) together devise concerted plans against me and give me no respite. مِنْ دُونِه ِِ  ۖ  فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعا ً ثُمَّ لاَ تُنْظِرُونِ
'Innī Tawakkaltu `Alá Al-Lahi Rabbī Wa Rabbikum  ۚ  Mā Min Dābbatin 'Illā Huwa 'Ākhidhun Bināşiyatihā  ۚ  'Inna Rabbī `Alá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin َ011-056 `I have definitely put my trust in Allâh, (Who is) my Lord and your Lord. There is no living and moving creature but He holds its forelock, (having absolute power over it). Surely, right and just are the ways of my Lord. إِنِّي تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمْ  ۚ  مَا مِنْ دَابَّة ٍ إِلاَّ هُوَ آخِذ ٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ
Fa'in Tawallaw Faqad 'Ablaghtukum Mā 'Ursiltu Bihi 'Ilaykum  ۚ  Wa Yastakhlifu Rabbī Qawmāan Ghayrakum Wa Lā Tađurrūnahu Shay'āan  ۚ  'Inna Rabbī `Alá Kulli Shay'in Ĥafīžun َ011-057 `If you turn away (from Him, remember that) I have fully conveyed to you that (Message) I have been sent with to you. (If you do not accept it,) my Lord will replace you with another people to be rulers. And you shall be able to do Him no harm at all. Surely, my Lord is Preserver of all things.´ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ مَا أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ~ِ إِلَيْكُمْ  ۚ  وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي قَوْماً غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّونَه ُُ شَيْئا ً  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيظ ٌ
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Hūdāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa Najjaynāhum Min `Adhābin Ghalīžin َ011-058 And when Our command (about the punishment) came, We saved Hûd and those who believed with him by a special mercy from Us. And We delivered them from a severe torment. وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودا ً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَه ُُ بِرَحْمَة ٍ مِنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظ ٍ
Wa Tilka `Ādun  ۖ  Jaĥadū Bi'āyāti Rabbihim Wa `Aşaw Rusulahu Wa Attaba`ū 'Amra Kulli Jabbārin `Anīdin َ011-059 And such were `Ad, they deliberately denied the commandments of their Lord and disobeyed His Messengers and followed the bidding of every haughty enemy (of truth). وَتِلْكَ عَاد ٌ  ۖ  جَحَدُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا رُسُلَه ُُ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيد ٍ
Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Hadhihi Ad-Dunyā La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۗ  'Alā 'Inna `Ādāan Kafarū Rabbahum  ۗ  'Alā Bu`dāan Li`ādin Qawmi Hūdin َ011-060 And there was sent following them a curse in this world and on the Day of Resurrection (they will meet the same fate). Behold! (the tribe of) ´Ad behaved ungratefully towards their Lord (by denying His favours). Look! destruction is decreed for ´Ad, the people of Hûd. وَأُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَة ً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۗ  أَلاَ إِنَّ عَادا ً كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُمْ  ۗ  أَلاَ بُعْدا ً لِعَاد ٍ قَوْمِ هُود ٍ
Wa 'Ilá Thamūda 'Akhāhum Şāliĥāan  ۚ  Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu  ۖ  Huwa 'Ansha'akum Mina Al-'Arđi Wa Asta`marakum Fīhā Fāstaghfirūhu Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi  ۚ  'Inna Rabbī Qarībun Mujībun َ011-061 And to the tribe of Thamûd (We sent as a Messenger) their kinsman Sâlih. He said, `My people! worship Allâh, you have no One worthy of worship other than He. It is He Who brought you forth from the earth and made you dwell therein. So seek protection of Him and turn to Him in repentance. Verily, my Lord is Nigh, Responsive (to prayers).´ وَإِلَى ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحا ً  ۚ  قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَه ٍٍ غَيْرُه ُُ  ۖ  هُوَ أَنشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الأَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاسْتَغْفِرُوه ُُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيب ٌ مُجِيب ٌ
Qālū Yā Şāliĥu Qad Kunta Fīnā Marjūwāan Qabla Hādhā  ۖ  'Atanhānā 'An Na`buda Mā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uunā Wa 'Innanā Lafī Shakkin Mimmā Tad`ūnā 'Ilayhi Murībin َ011-062 They said, `Sâlih! you have hitherto been among us as one in whom we placed our hopes. Do you forbid us to worship what our fore fathers have been worshipping? And as a matter of fact we are in disquieting doubt about that (faith) you call us to.´ قَالُوا يَا صَالِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوّا ً قَبْلَ هَذَا  ۖ  أَتَنْهَانَا أَنْ نَعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِي شَكّ ٍ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ مُرِيب ٍ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa 'Ātānī Minhu Raĥmatan Faman Yanşurunī Mina Al-Lahi 'In `Aşaytuhu  ۖ  Famā Tazīdūnanī Ghayra Takhsīrin َ011-063 He said, `My people! have you considered that if (in my claim to Prophethood) I stand on a clear proof from my Lord and He has granted me Mercy (- Prophethood) from Himself, who then will help (to save) me against (the punishment of) Allâh if I disobey Him? For then you will increase me in nothing but in leading me to loss. قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَآتَانِي مِنْهُ رَحْمَة ً فَمَنْ يَنصُرُنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُه ُُ  ۖ  فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِي غَيْرَ تَخْسِير ٍ
Wa Yā Qawmi Hadhihi Nāqatu Al-Lahi Lakum 'Āyatan Fadharūhā Ta'kul Fī 'Arđi Al-Lahi Wa Lā Tamassūhā Bisū'in Faya'khudhakum `Adhābun Qarībun َ011-064 `My people! this is a she-camel appointed by Allâh as a sign for you; so leave her alone to pasture on Allâh´s earth and afflict her not with any harm or an imminent torment shall seize you.´ وَيَا قَوْمِ هَذِه ِِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَة ً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ وَلاَ تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوء ٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَاب ٌ قَرِيب ٌ
Fa`aqarūhā Faqāla Tamatta`ū Fī Dārikum Thalāthata 'Ayyāmin  ۖ  Dhālika Wa`dun Ghayru Makdhūbin َ011-065 But they hamstrung her, so that he (- Sâlih) said, `You shall enjoy the provision of Allâh in your worldly abodes only for (another) three days. This is a promise which will never prove false.´ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِي دَارِكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّام ٍ  ۖ  ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوب ٍ
Falammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Şāliĥāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa Min Khizyi Yawmi'idhin  ۗ  'Inna Rabbaka Huwa Al-Qawīyu Al-`Azīzu َ011-066 And when Our command (about punishment) came (to pass), We saved Sâlih and with him the believers by a (special) mercy from Us and (We saved them) from the ignominy of that day. Surely, All-Powerful is your Lord (and) All Mighty. فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَالِحا ً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَه ُُ بِرَحْمَة ٍ مِنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْيِ يَوْمِئِذ ٍ  ۗ  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ
Wa 'Akhadha Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihimthimīna َ011-067 And a thunderbolt (caused by an earthquake) seized those who had acted unjustly. And the next morning found them lying prostrate in their habitations, وَأَخَذَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Ka'an Lam Yaghnaw Fīhā  ۗ  'Alā 'Inna Thamūda Kafarū Rabbahum  ۗ  'Alā Bu`dāan Lithamūda َ011-068 As if they had never dwelt in them. Behold! Thamûd behaved ungratefully to their Lord (denying His favours upon them). So away with (the tribe of) Thamûd! كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيهَا  ۗ  أَلاَ إِنَّ ثَمُودَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُمْ  ۗ  أَلاَ بُعْدا ً لِثَمُودَ
Wa Laqad Jā'at Rusulunā 'Ibrāhīma Bil-Bushrá Qālū Salāmāan  ۖ  Qāla Salāmun  ۖ  Famā Labitha 'An Jā'a Bi`ijlin Ĥanīdhin َ011-069 And certainly, Our messengers came to Abraham with good tidings. They said, `(We bid you) peace.´ He said, `Peace be (on you too) always.´ And he lost no time in bringing them a roasted calf. وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَى قَالُوا سَلاَما ً  ۖ  قَالَ سَلاَم ٌ  ۖ  فَمَا لَبِثَ أَنْ جَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذ ٍ
Falammā Ra'á 'Aydiyahum Lā Taşilu 'Ilayhi Nakirahum Wa 'Awjasa Minhum Khīfatan  ۚ  Qālū Lā Takhaf 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmi Lūţin َ011-070 But when he saw that their hands did not extend to that (meal) he considered it strange on their part and apprehended evil from them. They said, `Have no fear for we have been sent to the people of Lot.´ فَلَمَّا رَأَى أَيْدِيَهُمْ لاَ تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَة ً  ۚ  قَالُوا لاَ تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَى قَوْمِ لُوط ٍ
Wa Amra'atuhu Qā'imatun Fađaĥikat Fabashsharnāhā Bi'isĥāqa Wa Min Warā'i 'Isĥāqa Ya`qūba َ011-071 And his wife was standing (nearby) and she too was inspired with awe. So we gave her good tidings of (the birth of) Isaac and after Isaac of (his son) Jacob. وَامْرَأَتُه ُُ قَائِمَة ٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ
Qālat Yā Waylatā 'A'alidu Wa 'Anā `Ajūzun Wa Hadhā Ba`lī Shaykhāan  ۖ  'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un `Ajībun َ011-072 She said, `O wonder for me! Shall I bear a child while I am a very old woman and this husband of mine (also) a very old man? This is a wonderful thing indeed!´ قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَا أَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا عَجُوز ٌ وَهَذَا بَعْلِي شَيْخا ً  ۖ  إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيب ٌ
Qālū 'Ata`jabīna Min 'Amri Al-Lahi  ۖ  Raĥmatu Al-Lahi Wa Barakātuhu `Alaykum 'Ahla Al-Bayti  ۚ  'Innahu Ĥamīdun Majīdun َ011-073 They (- Our messengers) said, `Do you marvel at the decree of Allâh? Members of this house! the mercy of Allâh and His blessings are upon you. Surely, He is the Lord of all praise, Owner of all glory.´ قَالُوا أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ  ۖ  رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه ُُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ حَمِيد ٌ مَجِيد ٌ
Falammā Dhahaba `An 'Ibrāhīma Ar-Raw`u Wa Jā'at/hu Al-Bushrá Yujādilunā Fī Qawmi Lūţin َ011-074 And when awe departed from Abraham and the good tidings came to him, he started pleading with Us for the people of Lot. فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاءَتْهُ الْبُشْرَى يُجَادِلُنَا فِي قَوْمِ لُوط ٍ
'Inna 'Ibrāhīma Laĥalīmun 'Awwāhun Munībun َ011-075 Surely, Abraham was gentle, tender-hearted and oft-returning (to Us). إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّاه ٌ ٌ مُنِيب ٌ
Yā 'Ibrāhīmu 'A`riđ `An Hādhā  ۖ  'Innahu Qad Jā'a 'Amru Rabbika  ۖ  Wa 'Innahum 'Ātīhim `Adhābun Ghayru Mardūdin َ011-076 (Thereupon We said to him,) `Abraham! turn away from this (pleading now), for your Lords command has decidedly come. They are certainly going to receive a punishment that cannot be averted.´ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَذَا  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ قَدْ جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ  ۖ  وَإِنَّهُمْ آتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُود ٍ
Wa Lammā Jā'at Rusulunā Lūţāan Sī'a Bihim Wa Đāqa Bihim Dhar`āan Wa Qāla Hādhā Yawmun `Aşībun َ011-077 And when Our messengers came to Lot he was grieved on their account and felt helpless on their behalf (- of his people, for he had no means to protect them) and he said, `This is a distressful and hard day.´ وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطا ً سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعا ً وَقَالَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيب ٌ
Wa Jā'ahu Qawmuhu Yuhra`ūna 'Ilayhi Wa Min Qablu Kānū Ya`malūna As-Sayyi'āti  ۚ  Qāla Yā Qawmi Hā'uulā' Banātī Hunna 'Aţharu Lakum Fa  ۖ  Attaqū Al-Laha Wa Lā Tukhzūnī Fī Đayfī  ۖ  'Alaysa Minkum Rajulun Rashīdun َ011-078 And (on hearing the news of the strangers´ arrival) his people came (as if) driven on towards him and before this they were given to evil practices. He said, `My people! these are my daughters. They can be purer (guarantee against any conspiracy on my part) for you and take Allâh as a shield (against His punishment) and do not disgrace me in the matter of my guests. Is there not among you any right-minded man?´ وَجَاءَه ُُ قَوْمُه ُُ يُهْرَعُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِنْ قَبْلُ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ  ۚ  قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَاؤُلاَء بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ  ۖ  فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلاَ تُخْزُونِي فِي ضَيْفِي  ۖ  أَلَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ رَجُل ٌ رَشِيد ٌ
Qālū Laqad `Alimta Mā Lanā Fī Banātika Min Ĥaqqin Wa 'Innaka Lata`lamu Mā Nurīdu َ011-079 They said, `You certainly know we have no claim on your daughters, and you know well what we want (from you about the strangers).´ قَالُوا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقّ ٍ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ
Qāla Law 'Anna Lī Bikum Qūwatan 'Aw 'Āwī 'Ilá Ruknin Shadīdin َ011-080 He said, `Would that I had power to deal with you, rather I should betake myself for refuge to a strong support (of God).´ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْن ٍ شَدِيد ٍ
Qālū Yā Lūţu 'Innā Rusulu Rabbika Lan Yaşilū 'Ilayka  ۖ  Fa'asri Bi'ahlika Biqiţ`in Mina Al-Layli Wa Lā Yaltafit Minkum 'Aĥadun 'Illā Amra'ataka  ۖ  'Innahu Muşībuhā Mā 'Aşābahum  ۚ  'Inna Maw`idahumu Aş-Şubĥu  ۚ  'Alaysa Aş-Şubĥu Biqarībin َ011-081 (The messengers) said, `Lot! we are messengers of your Lord. They shall not at all reach you, so set forth (from here) with your family in the latter part of the night and let not anyone of you look about, but your wife (will not obey). Surely, she shall be smitten by that calamity which is going to smite the rest of them; the appointed time of theirs is the morning. Is not the morning nigh?´ قَالُوا يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَنْ يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ  ۖ  فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْع ٍ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلاَ يَلْتَفِتْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَد ٌ إِلاَّ امْرَأَتَكَ  ۖ  إِنَّه ُُ مُصِيبُهَا مَا أَصَابَهُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّ مَوْعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ  ۚ  أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيب ٍ
Falammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Ja`alnā `Āliyahā Sāfilahā Wa 'Amţarnā `Alayhā Ĥijāratan Min Sijjīlin Manđūdin َ011-082 So when Our command (about the punishment) came to pass We turned those (townships) upside down and We rained upon them, layer upon layer, with many stones of petrified clay, فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَة ً مِنْ سِجِّيل ٍ مَنْضُود ٍ
Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika  ۖ  Wa Mā Hiya Mina Až-Žālimīna Biba`īdin َ011-083 Ear-marked (for them) by (the decree of) your Lord. And this (sort of punishment) is not far from the unjust people (of the opponents of the Prophet). مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ  ۖ  وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ بِبَعِيد ٍ
Wa 'Ilá Madyana 'Akhāhum Shu`aybāan  ۚ  Qāla Yā Qawmi A`budū Al-Laha Mā Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayruhu  ۖ  Wa Lā Tanquşū Al-Mikyā La Wa  ۚ  Al-Mīzāna 'Innī 'Arākum Bikhayrin Wa 'Innī 'Akhāfu `Alaykum `Adhāba Yawmin Muĥīţin َ011-084 And to Midian (We sent) their kinsman Shu`aib (as a Messenger). He said, `My people! worship Allâh, you have no One worthy of worship other than He. And give not short measure and (short) weight. (Today) I see you in (a state of) prosperity. But (for tomorrow) I fear lest there should befall you the punishment of a (dreadful) day that encompasses all (for destruction). وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبا ً  ۚ  قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَه ٍٍ غَيْرُه ُُ وَلاَ  ۖ  تَنقُصُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ إِنِّي  ۚ  أَرَاكُمْ بِخَيْر ٍ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْم ٍ مُحِيط ٍ
Wa Yā Qawmi 'Awfū Al-Mikyāla Wa Al-Mīzāna Bil-Qisţi  ۖ  Wa Lā Tabkhasū An-Nāsa 'Ashyā'ahum Wa Lā Ta`thaw Fī Al-'Arđi Mufsidīna َ011-085 `And my people! give true measure and full weight with equity and defraud not people of their possession and commit not inequity in the land as peace-breakers. وَيَا قَوْمِ أَوْفُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ  ۖ  وَلاَ تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلاَ تَعْثَوْا فِي الأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ
Baqīyatu Al-Lahi Khayrun Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna  ۚ  Wa Mā 'Anā `Alaykum Biĥafīžin َ011-086 `The residue left to you by Allâh (after your paying the dues of others) is better for you, if you are true believers. Yet I am not a guardian over you.´ بَقِيَّةُ اللَّهِ خَيْر ٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ  ۚ  وَمَا أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِيظ ٍ
Qālū Yā Shu`aybu 'Aşalātuka Ta'muruka 'An Natruka Mā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uunā 'Aw 'An Naf`ala Fī 'Amwālinā Mā Nashā'u  ۖ  'Innaka La'anta Al-Ĥalīmu Ar-Rashīdu َ011-087 They said, `O Shu`aib! does your prayer enjoin you that we should give up what our fathers worshipped or (does it bid you) that we cease to do with our possessions as we like? You (O Shu`aib!) are you (so to say,) the only intelligent and the right-directing one?´ قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ أَصَلاَتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ نَتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا أَوْ أَنْ نَفْعَلَ فِي أَمْوَالِنَا مَا نَشَاءُ  ۖ  إِنَّكَ لَأَنْتَ الْحَلِيمُ الرَّشِيدُ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Ara'aytum 'In Kuntu `Alá Bayyinatin Min Rabbī Wa Razaqanī Minhu Rizqāan Ĥasanāan  ۚ  Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An 'Ukhālifakum 'Ilá Mā 'Anhākum `Anhu  ۚ  'In 'Urīdu 'Illā Al-'Işlāĥa Mā Astaţa`tu  ۚ  Wa Mā Tawfīqī 'Illā Bil-Lahi  ۚ  `Alayhi Tawakkaltu Wa 'Ilayhi 'Unību َ011-088 He said, `My people! what do you think? While I stand (by His grace) on a clear proof from my Lord (then why should not I guide people to the path of peace?), He has provided me from Himself with a goodly and honest livelihood (I cannot therefore be dishonest to Him). I have no intention to practise contrary to you the very thing which I forbid you to do. All that I desire is to set things right as far as I can. There is no power in me to do something (for setting things right) except through the help of Allâh. In Him do I put my trust and to Him do I always turn. قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَة ٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَرَزَقَنِي مِنْهُ رِزْقاً حَسَنا ً  ۚ  وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَى مَا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ  ۚ  إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلاَّ الإِصْلاَحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ  ۚ  وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ  ۚ  عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
Wa Yā Qawmi Lā Yajrimannakum Shiqāqī 'An Yuşībakum Mithlu Mā 'Aşāba Qawma Nūĥin 'Aw Qawma Hūdin 'Aw Qawma Şāliĥin  ۚ  Wa Mā Qawmu Lūţin Minkum Biba`īdin َ011-089 `And my people! let not your breach with and hostility towards me make you guilty, so that there may befall you the like of that calamity which befell the people of Noah, and the people of Hûd and the people of Sâlih. And the people of Lot are not far off from you. (You should ponder over their destruction and learn a lesson therefrom.) وَيَا قَوْمِ لاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شِقَاقِي أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَ قَوْمَ نُوحٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ هُودٍ أَوْ قَوْمَ صَالِح ٍ  ۚ  وَمَا قَوْمُ لُوط ٍ مِنْكُمْ بِبَعِيد ٍ
Wa Astaghfirū Rabbakum Thumma Tūbū 'Ilayhi  ۚ  'Inna Rabbī Raĥīmun Wadūdun َ011-090 `And seek protection of your Lord and turn to Him (in repentance). Verily, my Lord is Ever Merciful, Most Loving.´ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبِّي رَحِيم ٌ وَدُود ٌ
Qālū Yā Shu`aybu Mā Nafqahu Kathīrāan Mimmā Taqūlu Wa 'Innā Lanarāka Fīnā Đa`īfāan  ۖ  Wa Lawlā Rahţuka Larajamnāka  ۖ  Wa Mā 'Anta `Alaynā Bi`azīzin َ011-091 They said, `Shu`aib! we do not understand much of what you say and truly we find you a weakling among us. And had it not been (a consideration) for your tribe, we would surely have stoned you to death. And you occupy no strong and respectable position at all as compared with us.´ قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَه ُُ كَثِيرا ً مِمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفا ً  ۖ  وَلَوْلاَ رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَاكَ  ۖ  وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيز ٍ
Qāla Yā Qawmi 'Arahţī 'A`azzu `Alaykum Mina Al-Lahi Wa Attakhadhtumūhu Warā'akum Žihrīyāan  ۖ  'Inna Rabbī Bimā Ta`malūna Muĥīţun َ011-092 He said, `My people! does my tribe occupy stronger and more respectable position with you than Allâh? And (He has occupied no importance in your eyes that) you have cast Him behind your backs neglected. Surely, my Lord encompasses all your activities (in His knowledge). قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَهْطِي أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاتَّخَذْتُمُوه ُُ وَرَاءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيّا ً  ۖ  إِنَّ رَبِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيط ٌ
Wa Yā Qawmi A`malū `Alá Makānatikum 'Innī `Āmilun  ۖ  Sawfa Ta`lamūna Man Ya'tīhi `Adhābun Yukhzīhi Wa Man Huwa Kādhibun  ۖ  Wa Artaqibū 'Innī Ma`akum Raqībun َ011-093 `And my people! do your worst, I (too) am doing (my best). You will soon know who is overtaken by a punishment that will disgrace him, and who it is that is a liar. And be on watch, I shall be with you watching.´ وَيَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِل ٌ  ۖ  سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ يَأْتِيه ِِ عَذَاب ٌ يُخْزِيه ِِ وَمَنْ هُوَ كَاذِب ٌ  ۖ  وَارْتَقِبُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ رَقِيب ٌ
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Shu`aybāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa 'Akhadhati Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihimthimīna َ011-094 And when Our command (about the punishment) came We saved Shu`aib and with him the believers by Our mercy, and the calamity seized those who had acted unjustly so that the morning found them lying prostrate in their habitations; وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْبا ً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَه ُُ بِرَحْمَة ٍ مِنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Ka'an Lam Yaghnaw Fīhā  ۗ  'Alā Bu`dāan Limadyana Kamā Ba`idat Thamūdu َ011-095 (They were so destroyed and desolated) as if they had never dwelt there. So away with Midian; even as Thamûd were done away. كَأَنْ لَمْ يَغْنَوْا فِيهَا  ۗ  أَلاَ بُعْدا ً لِمَدْيَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَتْ ثَمُودُ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'āyātinā Wa Sulţānin Mubīnin َ011-096 And surely We sent Moses with Our signs and manifest strong arguments, وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَان ٍ مُبِين ٍ
'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Fa Attaba`ū 'Amra Fir`awna  ۖ  Wa Mā 'Amru Fir`awna Birashīdin َ011-097 To Pharaoh and the nobles of his court, but they carried out Pharaoh´s bidding; whereas the bidding of Pharaoh was not at all right directed. إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِه ِِ فَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ فِرْعَوْنَ  ۖ  وَمَا أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيد ٍ
Yaqdumu Qawmahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fa'awradahumu An-Nāra  ۖ  Wa Bi'sa Al-Wirdu Al-Mawrūdu َ011-098 He (- Pharaoh) will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection and will land them down into the Fire, and evil is the arriving place to be arrived at (by them). يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَه ُُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ  ۖ  وَبِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُودُ
Wa 'Utbi`ū Fī Hadhihi La`natan Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati  ۚ  Bi'sa Ar-Rifdu Al-Marfūdu َ011-099 There was sent following after them a curse in this (life) and on the Day of Resurrection (they shall be the victims of it too). Evil is the gift which shall be given (them)! وَأُتْبِعُوا فِي هَذِه ِِ لَعْنَة ً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ  ۚ  بِئْسَ الرِّفْدُ الْمَرْفُودُ
Dhālika Min 'Anbā'i Al-Qurá Naquşşuhu `Alayka  ۖ  Minhā Qā'imun Wa Ĥaşīdun َ011-100 That is a part of the important news of the (ruined) townships (of the past), We relate them to you. Some of these (cities) still exist while others have been mown down (and perished). ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الْقُرَى نَقُصُّه ُُ عَلَيْكَ  ۖ  مِنْهَا قَائِم ٌ وَحَصِيد ٌ
Wa Mā Žalamnāhum Wa Lakin Žalamū 'Anfusahum  ۖ  Famā 'Aghnat `Anhum 'Ālihatuhumu Allatī Yad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Min Shay'in Lammā Jā'a 'Amru Rabbika  ۖ  Wa Mā Zādūhum Ghayra Tatbībin َ011-101 We did no wrong to them (- their inhabitants) but they wronged themselves. And when their Lord´s command (about their punishment) came to pass, their gods, whom they called upon apart from Allâh, were of no avail to them. Infact, they added nothing to them except (leading them to) destruction. وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَكِنْ ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ  ۖ  فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ شَيْء ٍ لَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ  ۖ  وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيب ٍ
Wa Kadhalika 'Akhdhu Rabbika 'Idhā 'Akhadha Al-Qurá Wa Hiya Žālimatun  ۚ  'Inna 'Akhdhahu 'Alīmun Shadīdun َ011-102 Such is the punishing grasp of your Lord when He takes to task the peoples of the townships (after bringing home to them the truth) while they are steeped in wrongdoings. Surely, painful is His punishing grasp (and) severe. وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَة ٌ  ۚ  إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ~ُ أَلِيم ٌ شَدِيد ٌ
'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liman Khāfa `Adhāba Al-'Ākhirati  ۚ  Dhālika Yawmun Majmū`un Lahu An-Nāsu Wa Dhalika Yawmun Mash/hūdun َ011-103 Infact, there is in that a sign (to learn a lesson from) for him who fears the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a day on which the whole of mankind is to be gathered together and that is a day to be witnessed (by all, to be sure). إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لِمَنْ خَافَ عَذَابَ الآخِرَةِ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ يَوْم ٌ مَجْمُوع ٌ لَهُ النَّاسُ وَذَلِكَ يَوْم ٌ مَشْهُود ٌ
Wa Mā Nu'uakhkhiruhu 'Illā Li'jalin Ma`dūdin َ011-104 And We defer it not but for a computed term. وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُ~ُ إِلاَّ لِأجَل ٍ مَعْدُود ٍ
Yawma Ya'ti Lā Takallamu Nafsun 'Illā Bi'idhnihi  ۚ  Faminhum Shaqīyun Wa Sa`īdun َ011-105 The day it comes, no soul shall speak save by His leave; (on that day) some will turn out wretched and (others) fortunate. يَوْمَ يَأْتِ لاَ تَكَلَّمُ نَفْس ٌ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِه ِِ  ۚ  فَمِنْهُمْ شَقِيّ ٌ وَسَعِيد ٌ
Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna Shaqū Fafī An-Nāri Lahum Fīhā Zafīrun Wa Shahīqun َ011-106 As for the wretched, they shall be in the Fire, where they shall moan and cry, فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُوا فَفِي النَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِير ٌ وَشَهِيق ٌ
Khālidīna Fīhā Mā Dāmati As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Shā'a Rabbuka  ۚ  'Inna Rabbaka Fa``ālun Limā Yurīdu َ011-107 And they shall abide therein, unless your Lord otherwise will, so long as the heavens and the earth (thereof) endure. Surely, your Lord does bring about very well what He intends (to do). خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ  ۚ  إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّال ٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Su`idū Fafī Al-Jannati Khālidīna Fīhā Mā Dāmati As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'Arđu 'Illā Mā Shā'a Rabbuka  ۖ  `Aţā'an Ghayra Majdhūdhin َ011-108 As for those who turn out fortunate they shall be in Paradise. They will abide therein so long as the heavens and the earth (thereof) endure, unless your Lord otherwise will. This is a gift that shall never be cut off. وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِي الْجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ رَبُّكَ  ۖ  عَطَاءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذ ٍ
Falā Taku Fī Miryatin Mimmā Ya`budu Hā'uulā'  ۚ  Mā Ya`budūna 'Illā Kamā Ya`budu 'Ābā'uuhum Min Qablu  ۚ  Wa 'Innā Lamuwaffūhum Naşībahum Ghayra Manqūşin َ011-109 So (O people!) have no doubt about the (falsehood of) gods of those (polytheistic) people. They worship (these gods) only because their fathers worshipped (them) before (them), and We shall surely pay them their dues in full, undiminished. فَلاَ تَكُ فِي مِرْيَة ٍ مِمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَاؤُلاَء  ۚ  مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلاَّ كَمَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ  ۚ  وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنقُوص ٍ
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi  ۚ  Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahum  ۚ  Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin َ011-110 And We gave Moses the Book, but differences arose about it and had it not been for a word (- promise of mercy) that had gone forth from your Lord the issue between them (- the believers and the disbelievers) must have been decided (long before) and (now) they (- the disbelievers) are in a disquieting doubt about it (- the Qur´ân). وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيه ِِ  ۚ  وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَة ٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ  ۚ  وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكّ ٍ مِنْهُ مُرِيب ٍ
Wa 'Inna Kullā Lammā Layuwaffiyannahum Rabbuka 'A`mālahum  ۚ  'Innahu Bimā Ya`malūna Khabīrun َ011-111 Your Lord will certainly repay them all in full (the reward of) their deeds (when they will be presented before Him); for He is Well-Aware of all what they do. وَإِنَّ كُلاَّ لَمَّا لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُمْ رَبُّكَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ خَبِير ٌ
Fāstaqim Kamā 'Umirta Wa Man Tāba Ma`aka Wa Lā Taţghaw  ۚ  'Innahu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun َ011-112 So stand you upright, as you have been commanded, and (also) those who (have left their evil ways and) turned to Allâh (in repentance) and joined you. Do not exceed the bounds (set by Allâh, O people!). He indeed is Observer of your deeds. فَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَمَنْ تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلاَ تَطْغَوْا  ۚ  إِنَّه ُُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِير ٌ
Wa Lā Tarkanū 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Fatamassakumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Dūni Al-Lahi Min 'Awliyā'a Thumma Lā Tunşarūna َ011-113 Do not incline towards those who have committed wrong; lest the Fire (of Gehenna) should reach you while you shall find none to protect you, apart from Allâh, nor shall you be helped. وَلاَ تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لاَ تُنصَرُونَ
Wa 'Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Ţarafayi An-Nahāri Wa Zulafāan Mina Al-Layli  ۚ  'Inna Al-Ĥasanāti Yudh/hibna As-Sayyi'āti  ۚ  Dhālika Dhikrá Lildhdhākirīna َ011-114 And observe Prayer at the two ends of the day and in some early hours of the night. Surely, the good deeds wipe out the evil ones. That is a reminder for those who would remember. وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفا ً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ  ۚ  إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ  ۚ  ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ
Wa Aşbir Fa'inna Al-Laha Lā Yuđī`u 'Ajra Al-Muĥsinīna َ011-115 And be you patiently persevering, for surely Allâh suffers not the reward of the doers of good to others to go waste. وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Falawlā Kāna Mina Al-Qurūni Min Qablikum 'Ūlū Baqīyatin Yanhawna `Ani Al-Fasādi Fī Al-'Arđi 'Illā Qalīlāan Mimman 'Anjaynā Minhum  ۗ  Wa Attaba`a Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Mā 'Utrifū Fīhi Wa Kānū Mujrimīna َ011-116 Why, then, were there not among the generations that preceded you persons possessed of excellence who would forbid the perpetration of evil in the land. But there were only a few of those (who acted righteously and) whom We had saved from among them. And (all others) who had committed wrong pursued that (wanton) ease and plenty they were afforded with (and this led to their rebellion and disobedience), and they became those who cut off their ties (with Allâh). فَلَوْلاَ كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أُوْلُوا بَقِيَّة ٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ قَلِيلا ً مِمَّنْ أَنْجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ  ۗ  وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا أُتْرِفُوا فِيه ِِ وَكَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Liyuhlika Al-Qurá Bižulmin Wa 'Ahluhā Muşliĥūna َ011-117 And your Lord is not the One Who would destroy the townships unjustly (simply for their disbelief) while the inhabitants thereof (live in peace and) set things right. وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْم ٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ
Wa Law Shā'a Rabbuka Laja`ala An-Nāsa 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan  ۖ  Wa Lā Yazālūna Mukhtalifīna َ011-118 Had your Lord (enforced) His will He would have certainly made the whole of mankind one community, but (since He did not like to enforce His will upon people) they would not cease to differ. وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّة ً وَاحِدَة ً  ۖ  وَلاَ يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ
'Illā Man Raĥima Rabbuka  ۚ  Wa Lidhalika Khalaqahum  ۗ  Wa Tammat Kalimatu Rabbika La'amla'anna Jahannama Mina Al-Jinnati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna َ011-119 Different, however, is the case of those on whom your Lord has had mercy. Indeed, it is for (the bestowal of mercy) that He has created them; yet (this) word of your Lord, `Verily I will fill Gehenna with the (rebellious) jinn and (ordinary) people all together,´ has perfectly come true. إِلاَّ مَنْ رَحِمَ رَبُّكَ  ۚ  وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ  ۗ  وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa Kullāan Naquşşu `Alayka Min 'Anbā'i Ar-Rusuli Mā Nuthabbitu Bihi Fu'uādaka  ۚ  Wa Jā'aka Fī Hadhihi Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Maw`ižatun Wa Dhikrá Lilmu'uminīna َ011-120 And all that We relate to you of the important news of the Messengers is to make your heart firm and strong thereby. And there has come to you, implied in these (news) the truth, an exhortation, and a reminder for the believers. وَكُلاّ ً نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَاءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِه ِِ فُؤَادَكَ  ۚ  وَجَاءَكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَقُّ وَمَوْعِظَة ٌ وَذِكْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Wa Qul Lilladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna A`malū `Alá Makānatikum 'Innā `Āmilūna َ011-121 And say to those who do not believe, `Do your worst, we too are doing (Our best). وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنَّا عَامِلُونَ
Wa Antažirū 'Innā Muntažirūna َ011-122 `And you may await (our end), we (too) are awaiting (yours).´ وَانتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ
Wa Lillahi Ghaybu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa 'Ilayhi Yurja`u Al-'Amru Kulluhu Fā`bud/hu Wa Tawakkal `Alayhi  ۚ  Wa Mā Rabbuka Bighāfilin `Ammā Ta`malūna َ011-123 To Allâh belongs the hidden realities of the heavens and the earth. To Him all matters stand referred. So worship Him and put your trust in Him; for your Lord is not at all unmindful of what you do. وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُ الأَمْرُ كُلُّه ُُ فَاعْبُدْهُ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَيْهِ  ۚ  وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ
