| 'Alif-Lām-Rā Tilka 'Āyātu Al-Kitābi Al-Ĥakīmi | َ010-001 Alif Lâm Râ. These are the verses of the perfect Book (which is) full of wisdom. | أَلِف-لَام-رَا تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْحَكِيمِ |
| 'Akāna Lilnnāsi `Ajabāan 'An 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Rajulin Minhum 'An 'Andhiri An-Nāsa Wa Bashshiri Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Anna Lahum Qadama Şidqin `Inda Rabbihim ۗ Qāla Al-Kāfirūna 'Inna Hādhā Lasāĥirun Mubīnun | َ010-002 Is this a (matter of) wonder for the people that We have sent Our revelation to a man from among themselves (saying), `Warn the people (against the evils of disbelief and sin) and give glad tidings to those who believe that they stand on a strong and honourable footing with their Lord?´ The disbelievers say, `Certainly, this (man) is an evident enchanter.´ | أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَباً أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى رَجُل ٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنْذِرِ النَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ إِنَّ هَذَا لَسَاحِر ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| 'Inna Rabbakumu Al-Lahu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Fī Sittati 'Ayyāmin Thumma Astawá `Alá Al-`Arshi ۖ Yudabbiru Al-'Amra ۖ Mā Min Shafī`in 'Illā Min Ba`di 'Idhnihi ۚ Dhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbukum Fā`budūhu ۚ 'Afalā Tadhakkarūna | َ010-003 Verily, your Lord is Allâh who created the heavens and the earth in six aeons and (at the same time) He is well-established on the Throne (of authority). He regulates all affairs. As an intercessor, there can be none (to intercede with Him) save after His leave. Such is Allâh, your Lord, so worship Him. Will you not, then, mind? | إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّام ٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۖ يُدَبِّرُ الأَمْرَ ۖ مَا مِنْ شَفِيع ٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِه ِِ ۚ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ~ُ ۚ أَفَلاَ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| 'Ilayhi Marji`ukum Jamī`āan ۖ Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqāan ۚ 'Innahu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Liyajziya Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Bil-Qisţi Wa ۚ Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lahum Sharābun Min Ĥamīmin Wa `Adhābun 'Alīmun Bimā Kānū Yakfurūna | َ010-004 To Him is the return of you all (at length). (This) promise of Allâh is certain to be true. He it is Who originates the creation, then He reproduces it, so that He may justly reward those who believe and do deeds of righteousness. And those who disbelieve, they shall have a drink of boiling water and a grievous punishment, because of their disbelieving. | إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعا ً ۖ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّا ً ۚ إِنَّه ُُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُه ُُ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَهُمْ شَرَاب ٌ مِنْ حَمِيم ٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Ash-Shamsa Điyā'an Wa Al-Qamara Nūrāan Wa Qaddarahu Manāzila Lita`lamū `Adada As-Sinīna Wa Al-Ĥisāba ۚ Mā Khalaqa Al-Lahu Dhālika 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi ۚ Yufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`lamūna | َ010-005 He it is Who made the sun (radiate) brilliant light and the moon (reflect) a lustre, and fixed for it (each one of them) stages according to an estimated measure that you might know the counting (and number) of the years and the reckoning (of time). Allâh created all this only to suit the requirements of truth and wisdom. He explains in detail these signs for a people who would know. | هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاء ً وَالْقَمَرَ نُورا ً وَقَدَّرَه ُُ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| 'Inna Fī Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Mā Khalaqa Al-Lahu Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi La'āyātin Liqawmin Yattaqūna | َ010-006 Certainly, in the alternation of night and day and in all that Allâh has created in the heavens and the earth there are sure signs for a people who guard against evil. | إِنَّ فِي اخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَّقُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yarjūna Liqā'anā Wa Rađū Bil-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Aţma'annū Bihā Wa Al-Ladhīna Hum `An 'Āyātinā Ghāfilūna | َ010-007 Verily, those who fear not the meeting with Us, nor do they cherish a hope (for the same) and are pleased to choose the life of this world and feel contented therewith, and (similarly) those who are heedless of Our signs, | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا وَرَضُوا بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَاطْمَأَنُّوا بِهَا وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا غَافِلُونَ |
| 'Ūlā'ika Ma'wāhumu An-Nāru Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna | َ010-008 It is these indeed whose resort is the Fire, because of their (such) deeds. | أُوْلَائِكَ مَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Yahdīhim Rabbuhum Bi'īmānihim ۖ Tajrī Min Taĥtihimu Al-'Anhāru Fī Jannāti An-Na`īmi | َ010-009 As to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, their Lord shall lead them, because of their faith, into Gardens of bliss served with running streams (to keep them green and flourishing). | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِإِيمَانِهِمْ ۖ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الأَنْهَارُ فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ |
| Da`wāhum Fīhā Subĥānaka Al-Lahumma Wa Taĥīyatuhum Fīhā Salāmun ۚ Wa 'Ākhiru Da`wāhum 'Ani Al-Ĥamdu Lillahi Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | َ010-010 Their prayer therein will be, `Glory be to You, O Allâh!´ and their greeting therein (to each other) shall be `Peace!´ and the conclusion of their prayer will be, `All type of perfect and true praise belongs to Allâh the Lord of the worlds.´ | دَعْوَاهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلاَم ٌ ۚ وَآخِرُ دَعْوَاهُمْ أَنِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Wa Law Yu`ajjilu Al-Lahu Lilnnāsi Ash-Sharra Asti`jālahum Bil-Khayri Laquđiya 'Ilayhim 'Ajaluhum ۖ Fanadharu Al-Ladhīna Lā Yarjūna Liqā'anā Fī Ţughyānihim Ya`mahūna | َ010-011 If Allâh were to hasten on the evil for the people (as a consequence of their evil actions), just as they would seek to hasten on (for themselves) the good, (the end of) their term (of life) would certainly have been brought upon them (forthwith). But We leave alone those who fear not the meeting with Us, nor do they cherish any hope (for the same). They are wandering distractedly in their transgression. | وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ الشَّرَّ اسْتِعْجَالَهُمْ بِالْخَيْرِ لَقُضِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَنَذَرُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Massa Al-'Insāna Ađ-Đurru Da`ānā Lijanbihi 'Aw Qā`idāan 'Aw Qā'imāan Falammā Kashafnā `Anhu Đurrahu Marra Ka'an Lam Yad`unā 'Ilá Đurrin Massahu ۚ Kadhālika Zuyyina Lilmusrifīna Mā Kānū Ya`malūna | َ010-012 When a person is in a certain affliction he calls on Us (lying) on his sides, or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction he passes on (with his face turned away) as if he had never called on Us for (the removal of) the affliction that befell him. Thus it is that their (base) doings are made fair seeming to these extravagant. | وَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ~ِ أَوْ قَاعِداً أَوْ قَائِما ً فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّه ُُ مَرَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَى ضُرّ ٍ مَسَّه ُُ ۚ كَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Wa Laqad 'Ahlaknā Al-Qurūna Min Qablikum Lammā Žalamū ۙ Wa Jā'at/hum Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti Wa Mā Kānū Liyu'uminū ۚ Kadhālika Najzī Al-Qawma Al-Mujrimīna | َ010-013 And We certainly destroyed several generations before you when they went wrong inspite of the fact that there had come to them their Messengers (of God) with clear proofs but they would not believe. Just (as We repaid them) so We repay all such guilty people (with punishment). | وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا ۙ وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا ۚ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ |
| Thumma Ja`alnākum Khalā'ifa Fī Al-'Arđi Min Ba`dihim Linanžura Kayfa Ta`malūna | َ010-014 Then We made you inherit the land after these (generations) that We might see how you would act. | ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ خَلاَئِفَ فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Wa 'Idhā Tutlá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin ۙ Qāla Al-Ladhīna Lā Yarjūna Liqā'anā A'ti Biqur'ānin Ghayri Hādhā 'Aw Baddilhu ۚ Qul Mā Yakūnu Lī 'An 'Ubaddilahu Min Tilqā'i Nafsī ۖ 'In 'Attabi`u 'Illā Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayya ۖ 'Innī 'Akhāfu 'In `Aşaytu Rabbī `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin | َ010-015 When Our clear verses are recited to them, those who fear not the meeting with Us, nor do they cherish any hope (for the same,) say, `Bring a Qur´ân other than this one or (at least) make some changes in it.´ Say (to them), `It is not for me to introduce changes in it of my own accord. I follow nothing but what is revealed to me. Truly if I disobey my Lord I fear the punishment of a great (dreadful) Day.´ | وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَات ٍ ۙ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا ائْتِ بِقُرْآنٍ غَيْرِ هَذَا أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ ۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أُبَدِّلَه ُُ مِنْ تِلْقَاءِ نَفْسِي ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلاَّ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيم ٍ |
| Qul Law Shā'a Al-Lahu Mā Talawtuhu `Alaykum Wa Lā 'Adrākum Bihi ۖ Faqad Labithtu Fīkum `Umurāan Min Qablihi ۚ 'Afalā Ta`qilūna | َ010-016 Say, `Had Allâh (so) willed (that He should replace the teachings of the Qur´ân with some other teachings), I should not have recited this (Qur´ân) to you, nor would He have made it known to you. I had indeed lived among you a (whole) lifetime before this (claim to Prophethood. Was not my truthfulness undisputed?). Will you not then refrain (from opposing me)?´ | قُلْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُه ُُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلاَ أَدْرَاكُمْ بِه ِِ ۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُرا ً مِنْ قَبْلِهِ~ِ ۚ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ |
| Faman 'Ažlamu Mimmani Aftará `Alá Al-Lahi Kadhibāan 'Aw Kadhdhaba Bi'āyātihi ۚ 'Innahu Lā Yufliĥu Al-Mujrimūna | َ010-017 Who is then more unjust than he who forges a lie in the name of Allâh or cries lies to His Messages? It is but certain that the guilty shall never attain their goal. | فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِباً أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ~ِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Wa Ya`budūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Mā Lā Yađurruhum Wa Lā Yanfa`uhum Wa Yaqūlūna Hā'uulā' Shufa`ā'uunā `Inda Al-Lahi ۚ Qul 'Atunabbi'ūna Al-Laha Bimā Lā Ya`lamu Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Lā Fī Al-'Arđi ۚ Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna | َ010-018 And (some) people worship, apart from Allâh, things that can neither harm them (of their own accord) nor can help them. They say, `These are our intercessors with Allâh.´ Say, `Do you (presume to) inform Allâh of the things of whose existence in the heavens or in the earth He does not know?´ Glory be to Him! High be He, exalted above (all the things) they associate (with Him). | وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَاؤُلاَء شُفَعَاؤُنَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللَّهَ بِمَا لاَ يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَانَه ُُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna An-Nāsu 'Illā 'Ummatan Wāĥidatan Fākhtalafū ۚ Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika Laquđiya Baynahum Fīmā Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | َ010-019 And mankind were but a single nation, then they fell into variance. Had it not been for a word (-the postponement of their punishment, see 8:33) that preceded from your Lord (as His promise), the issue wherein they disagreed would have (long been) decided between them. | وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلاَّ أُمَّة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَاخْتَلَفُوا ۚ وَلَوْلاَ كَلِمَة ٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Wa Yaqūlūna Lawlā 'Unzila `Alayhi 'Āyatun Min Rabbihi ۖ Faqul 'Innamā Al-Ghaybu Lillahi Fāntažirū 'Innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Muntažirīna | َ010-020 And they say, `Why is not a (decisive) sign (of destruction) sent down to him from his Lord?´ Say then, `The hidden reality (will come to pass. The knowledge of it) belongs to Allâh alone, so wait (for the time ordained). Surely, I am with you among those who wait.´ | وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلاَ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّه ِِ ۖ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا الْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَانْتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ |
| Wa 'Idhā 'Adhaqnā An-Nāsa Raĥmatan Min Ba`di Đarrā'a Massat/hum 'Idhā Lahum Makrun Fī 'Āyātinā ۚ Quli Al-Lahu 'Asra`u Makrāan ۚ 'Inna Rusulanā Yaktubūna Mā Tamkurūn | َ010-021 When We show mercy to people after adversity has visited them, they at once start scheming (devices) against Our revelations. Say, `Allâh is Quicker at scheming (counter-devices). Indeed Our messengers (- the angels appointed for the purpose) are recording all that you devise. | وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَة ً مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُمْ مَكْر ٌ فِي آيَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرا ً ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُون |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Yusayyirukum Fī Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri ۖ Ĥattá 'Idhā Kuntum Fī Al-Fulki Wa Jarayna Bihim Birīĥin Ţayyibatin Wa Fariĥū Bihā Jā'at/hā Rīĥun `Āşifun Wa Jā'ahumu Al-Mawju Min Kulli Makānin Wa Žannū 'Annahum 'Uĥīţa Bihim ۙ Da`aw Al-Laha Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna La'in 'Anjaytanā Min Hadhihi Lanakūnanna Mina Ash-Shākirīna | َ010-022 He it is Who enables you to journey through the land and on the sea. When you are on the ships, and these (means of transport) with those (on board) sail with a fair breeze, while they are taking a joyful pride in them, a violent wind overtakes them, wave (after wave) surges on them from every side, and they feel sure that they are caught in a disaster, (then) they call upon Allâh with a sincere faith in Him (saying), `If You deliver us from this (calamity) we will certainly be of the thankful.´ | هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۖ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِمْ بِرِيح ٍ طَيِّبَة ٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِف ٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَان ٍ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ ۙ دَعَوْا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنْجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَذِه ِِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ |
| Falammā 'Anjāhum 'Idhā Hum Yabghūna Fī Al-'Arđi Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi ۗ Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu 'Innamā Baghyukum `Alá 'Anfusikum ۖ Matā`a Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā ۖ Thumma 'Ilaynā Marji`ukum Fanunabbi'ukum Bimā Kuntum Ta`malūna | َ010-023 Nevertheless when He delivers them, behold! they begin to commit excesses in the land for no just reason. O people! your excesses will only recoil upon your ownselves. Have a temporary enjoyment of the life of this world, then to Us shall be your return (and) then We will tell you all that you have been doing. | فَلَمَّا أَنْجَاهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِي الأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۗ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۖ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| 'Innamā Mathalu Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Kamā'in 'Anzalnāhu Mina As-Samā'i Fākhtalaţa Bihi Nabātu Al-'Arđi Mimmā Ya'kulu An-Nāsu Wa Al-'An`ām Ĥattá 'Idhā 'Akhadhati Al-'Arđu Zukhrufahā Wa Azzayyanat Wa Žanna 'Ahluhā 'Annahum Qādirūna `Alayhā 'Atāhā 'Amrunā Laylāan 'Aw Nahārāan Faja`alnāhā Ĥaşīdāan Ka'an Lam Taghna Bil-'Amsi ۚ Kadhālika Nufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna | َ010-024 The life of this world is simply like water. We send it down from the clouds so that the produce of the earth, whereof people and cattle eat, grows with this (water) abundantly until when the earth (by means of it) receives its excellent ornature and has decked itself fairly beautiful and its owners feel sure that they are its masters, unexpectedly We command its destruction either by night or by day, so We render it a field that is mown down as though nothing had existed there the day before. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who reflect. | إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاءٍ أَنْزَلْنَاه ُُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِه ِِ نَبَاتُ الأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالأَنعَام حَتَّى إِذَا أَخَذَتِ الأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَا أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَاهَا أَمْرُنَا لَيْلاً أَوْ نَهَارا ً فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيدا ً كَأَنْ لَمْ تَغْنَ بِالأَمْسِ ۚ كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Wa Allāhu Yad`ū 'Ilá Dāri As-Salāmi Wa Yahdī Man Yashā'u 'Ilá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin | َ010-025 Allâh invites (us all) to the abode of peace and He guides him who wishes to be guided to the exact right path leading to the goal. | وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى دَارِ السَّلاَمِ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاط ٍ مُسْتَقِيم ٍ |
| Lilladhīna 'Aĥsanū Al-Ĥusná Wa Ziyādatun ۖ Wa Lā Yarhaqu Wujūhahum Qatarun Wa Lā Dhillatun ۚ 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati ۖ Hum Fīhā Khālidūna | َ010-026 There shall be the fairest reward and (yet) a good deal more (of blessings) for those who do good to others. Neither gloom (of sorrow) nor (traces of) ignominy shall overspread their faces. It is these who are the (rightful) owners of the Paradise, there they shall abide for ever. | لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَة ٌ ۖ وَلاَ يَرْهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمْ قَتَر ٌ وَلاَ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Wa Al-Ladhīna Kasabū As-Sayyi'āti Jazā'u Sayyi'atin Bimithlihā Wa Tarhaquhum ۖ Dhillatun Mā Lahum Mina Al-Lahi Min ۖ `Āşimin Ka'annamā 'Ughshiyat Wujūhuhum Qiţa`āan Mina Al-Layli ۚ Mužlimāan 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu ۖ An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna | َ010-027 And (as for) those who knowingly committed evil deeds, they shall be punished in measure with the evil done and ignominy shall cover them. They shall have none to protect them against (the punishment of) Allâh. And (they shall look) as if their faces have been covered with patches of night with no light. It is these who are the fellows of the Fire, they shall abide in it for long. | وَالَّذِينَ كَسَبُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ جَزَاءُ سَيِّئَة ٍ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّة ٌ ۖ مَا لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِم ٍ ۖ كَأَنَّمَا أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعا ً مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مُظْلِماً ۚ أُوْلَائِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Wa Yawma Naĥshuruhum Jamī`āan Thumma Naqūlu Lilladhīna 'Ashrakū Makānakum 'Antum Wa Shurakā'uukum ۚ Fazayyalnā Baynahum ۖ Wa Qāla Shurakā'uuhum Mā Kuntum 'Īyānā Ta`budūna | َ010-028 And (imagine) the day when We shall muster all the people together, then We shall say to those who associated partners (with God), `Keep to your places (in Gehenna) you and your (associated) partners (with God).´ Then We shall separate them thoroughly one from another, and their (associated) partners (with God) will say (to them), `Surely, it was not us that you worshipped; | وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعا ً ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا مَكَانَكُمْ أَنْتُمْ وَشُرَكَاؤُكُمْ ۚ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَاؤُهُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ |
| Fakafá Bil-Lahi Shahīdāan Baynanā Wa Baynakum 'In Kunnā `An `Ibādatikum Laghāfilīna | َ010-029 `So (this day) Allâh suffices as a witness between us and you. We were surely quite ignorant of all that you worshipped.´ | فَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدا ً بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ |
| Hunālika Tablū Kullu Nafsin Mā 'Aslafat ۚ Wa Ruddū 'Ilá Al-Lahi Mawlāhumu Al-Ĥaqqi ۖ Wa Đalla `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaftarūna | َ010-030 At that time every soul shall find explicitly that what it had done in the past and they will be brought back before Allâh, their True Patron, and all that they used to forge shall be lost to them. | هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُو كُلُّ نَفْس ٍ مَا أَسْلَفَتْ ۚ وَرُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلاَهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
| Qul Man Yarzuqukum Mina As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi 'Amman Yamliku As-Sam`a Wa Al-'Abşāra Wa Man Yukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Yukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi Wa Man Yudabbiru Al-'Amra ۚ Fasayaqūlūna Al-Lahu ۚ Faqul 'Afalā Tattaqūna | َ010-031 Ask, `Who provides you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight? And who brings forth the living out of the dead and brings forth the dead out of the living? And who directs and regulates all the affairs (of the universe)?´ They will certainly say thereupon, `It is Allâh.´ Then say, `Will you not even then guard against evil (doings). | قُلْ مَنْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ أَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَمَنْ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَمَنْ يُدَبِّرُ الأَمْرَ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ ۚ فَقُلْ أَفَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ |
| Fadhalikumu Al-Lahu Rabbukumu Al-Ĥaqqu ۖ Famādhā Ba`da Al-Ĥaqqi 'Illā Ađ-Đalālu ۖ Fa'annā Tuşrafūna | َ010-032 `Such, then, is Allâh, your true Lord; so what (would you have) after (discarding) the truth save perdition? Whither are you being turned away (from the truth)?´ | فَذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ الْحَقِّ إِلاَّ الضَّلاَلُ ۖ فَأَنَّا تُصْرَفُونَ |
| Kadhālika Ĥaqqat Kalimatu Rabbika `Alá Al-Ladhīna Fasaqū 'Annahum Lā Yu'uminūna | َ010-033 Just as (He is your true Lord), the verdict of your Lord shall be confirmed against those who rebel, because they do not believe. | كَذَلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ فَسَقُوا أَنَّهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Qul Hal Min Shurakā'ikum Man Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu ۚ Quli Al-Lahu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu ۖ Fa'anná Tu'ufakūna | َ010-034 Say, `Is there anyone of your (associated) partners (with God) who starts the cycle of creation and then continues it?´ Say, `It is Allâh who starts the cycle of creation and then continues it. Whither then are you being deviated away (from the truth)?´ | قُلْ هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِكُمْ مَنْ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُه ُُ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُه ُُ ۖ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ |
| Qul Hal Min Shurakā'ikum Man Yahdī 'Ilá Al-Ĥaqqi ۚ Quli Al-Lahu Yahdī Lilĥaqqi ۗ 'Afaman Yahdī 'Ilá Al-Ĥaqqi 'Aĥaqqu 'An Yuttaba`a 'Amman Lā Yahiddī 'Illā 'An Yuhdá ۖ Famā Lakum Kayfa Taĥkumūna | َ010-035 Ask, `Is there any of your (associated) partners (with God) who leads to the truth?´ Say, `It is Allâh alone Who leads to the truth. Is then He who leads to the truth more worthy to be followed or he (assumed to be god) that cannot find the way (himself) unless he be guided? What, then, is the matter with you? How do you judge?´ | قُلْ هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِكُمْ مَنْ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ يَهْدِي لِلْحَقِّ ۗ أَفَمَنْ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّنْ لاَ يَهِدِّي إِلاَّ أَنْ يُهْدَى ۖ فَمَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ |
| Wa Mā Yattabi`u 'Aktharuhum 'Illā Žannāan ۚ 'Inna Až-Žanna Lā Yughnī Mina Al-Ĥaqqi Shay'āan ۚ 'Inna Al-Laha `Alīmun Bimā Yaf`alūna | َ010-036 And most of them follow nothing but mere conjecture whereas, by no means, can a conjecture do away with the need of the truth. The fact is, Allâh is Well-Aware of what they do. | وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلاَّ ظَنّا ً ۚ إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئا ً ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيم ٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Hādhā Al-Qur'ānu 'An Yuftará Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Lakin Taşdīqa Al-Ladhī Bayna Yadayhi Wa Tafşīla Al-Kitābi Lā Rayba Fīhi Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna | َ010-037 This Qur´ân is not such as could have been devised (by anyone), besides Allâh. On the contrary (Allâh has revealed it as) a confirmation of all the previous Scriptures and is a clear and detailed explanation of the divine Law. It is wanting in nought, containing nothing doubtful, disturbing, harmful or destructive and there is no false charge in it. (It proceeds) from the Lord of the worlds. | وَمَا كَانَ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ أَنْ يُفْتَرَى مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ تَصْدِيقَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ الْكِتَابِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيه ِِ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| 'Am Yaqūlūna Aftarāhu ۖ Qul Fa'tū Bisūratin Mithlihi Wa Ad`ū Mani Astaţa`tum Min Dūni Al-Lahi 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | َ010-038 And yet they say, `He has forged it.´ Then produce a (single) chapter like it, calling upon whomsoever you can (for your help), apart from Allâh, if you are truthful (in your this assertion). | أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاه ُُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِسُورَة ٍ مِثْلِه ِِ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Bal Kadhdhabū Bimā Lam Yuĥīţū Bi`ilmihi Wa Lammā Ya'tihim Ta'wīluhu ۚ Kadhālika Kadhdhaba Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim ۖ Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Až-Žālimīna | َ010-039 Nay, (the thing is that) they have cried lies to that the (full) knowledge of which they could not comprehend and whose (true) significance has not yet been explained to them. Their predecessors cried lies (to the truth) just in the same manner. But behold, how was the end of the wrong doers! | بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُوا بِعِلْمِه ِِ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِهِمْ تَأْوِيلُه ُُ ۚ كَذَلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Wa Minhum Man Yu'uminu Bihi Wa Minhum Man Lā Yu'uminu Bihi ۚ Wa Rabbuka 'A`lamu Bil-Mufsidīna | َ010-040 There are some who will believe in this (Qur´ân) and there are others among them who will never believe therein, and your Lord knows very well those who act wrongfully. | وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِه ِِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ بِه ِِ ۚ وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Wa 'In Kadhdhabūka Faqul Lī `Amalī Wa Lakum `Amalukum ۖ 'Antum Barī'ūna Mimmā 'A`malu Wa 'Anā Barī'un Mimmā Ta`malūna | َ010-041 If they still cry lies to you, say (to them), `I will reap the fruit of my actions (useful or harmful as it is) and you will reap the fruit of yours. You are not to blame for what I do, and I am not responsible to account for what you do. | وَإِنْ كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُلْ لِي عَمَلِي وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ ۖ أَنْتُمْ بَرِيئُونَ مِمَّا أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا بَرِيء ٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Wa Minhum Man Yastami`ūna 'Ilayka ۚ 'Afa'anta Tusmi`u Aş-Şumma Wa Law Kānū Lā Ya`qilūna | َ010-042 And some of them (appear to) give ear to you. Can you make the deaf hear, even though they would not (care to) perceive (in order to be guided aright)? | وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Wa Minhum Man Yanžuru 'Ilayka ۚ 'Afa'anta Tahdī Al-`Umya Wa Law Kānū Lā Yubşirūna | َ010-043 And some of them (appear to) look at you, but can you guide the blind even though they would not care to see (the right guidance)? | وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنْتَ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ |
| 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yažlimu An-Nāsa Shay'āan Wa Lakinna An-Nāsa 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna | َ010-044 Verily, Allâh does no injustice to the people at all but the people do injustice to themselves. | إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَظْلِمُ النَّاسَ شَيْئا ً وَلَكِنَّ النَّاسَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ |
| Wa Yawma Yaĥshuruhum Ka'an Lam Yalbathū 'Illā Sā`atan Mina An-Nahāri Yata`ārafūna Baynahum ۚ Qad Khasira Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Biliqā'i Al-Lahi Wa Mā Kānū Muhtadīna | َ010-045 And on the day when He shall gather them all together (they will feel) as if they had not lived (in this world) but for a fraction of a day. They will recognise (the repentance of) one another. Losers, indeed, were those who denied the (truth of the) meeting with Allâh and would not receive (true) guidance. | وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلاَّ سَاعَة ً مِنَ النَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ |
| Wa 'Immā Nuriyannaka Ba`đa Al-Ladhī Na`iduhum 'Aw Natawaffayannaka Fa'ilaynā Marji`uhum Thumma Al-Lahu Shahīdun `Alá Mā Yaf`alūna | َ010-046 And We shall show you (O Muhammad! the visitation on them of) some of that (punishment) with which We have threatened these (disbelievers) before We cause you to die. Anyhow they shall all have to return to Us. Moreover Allâh is Witness to all that they do. | وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَى مَا يَفْعَلُونَ |
| Wa Likulli 'Ummatin Rasūlun ۖ Fa'idhā Jā'a Rasūluhum Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Qisţi Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | َ010-047 And for every nation there is a Messenger. So when their Messenger (of God) comes, the issue between them is judged with all fairness, and they are not done injustice to. | وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّة ٍ رَسُول ٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Hādhā Al-Wa`du 'In Kuntum Şādiqīna | َ010-048 And they say, `Tell if you are truthful, when this promise is to be fulfilled?´ | وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Qul Lā 'Amliku Linafsī Đarrāan Wa Lā Naf`āan 'Illā Mā Shā'a Al-Lahu ۗ Likulli 'Ummatin 'Ajalun ۚ 'Idhā Jā'a 'Ajaluhum Falā Yasta'khirūna Sā`atan ۖ Wa Lā Yastaqdimūna | َ010-049 Say, `I have no power to hurt or to do good to myself. It shall happen as Allâh will. There is a term appointed for every nation (for the recompense of their actions). When their term comes they cannot remain behind (it) a single moment (to escape from it), nor can they get ahead (of it to avoid it).´ | قُلْ لاَ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرّا ً وَلاَ نَفْعا ً إِلاَّ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَل ٌ ۚ إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلاَ يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَة ً ۖ وَلاَ يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
| Qul 'Ara'aytum 'In 'Atākum `Adhābuhu Bayātāan 'Aw Nahārāan Mādhā Yasta`jilu Minhu Al-Mujrimūna | َ010-050 Say, `Tell me, if His punishment overtakes you (unexpectedly) by night or by day. How can those who cut off their ties (with Allâh) hasten away (to escape) from it? | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُه ُُ بَيَاتاً أَوْ نَهَارا ً مَاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| 'Athumma 'Idhā Mā Waqa`a 'Āmantum Bihi ۚ 'Āl'āna Wa Qad Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna | َ010-051 `Will you then believe in it when this (punishment) has (actually) befallen (you)? (It will be useless then and you will be told), "Now (you believe!) whereas you were keen on hastening it on before the appointed time".´ | أَثُمَّ إِذَا مَا وَقَعَ آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ~ِ ۚ أَالآنَ وَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ بِه ِِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ |
| Thumma Qīla Lilladhīna Žalamū Dhūqū `Adhāba Al-Khuldi Hal Tujzawna 'Illā Bimā Kuntum Taksibūna | َ010-052 At that time it will be said to the wrong doers, `Suffer the abiding punishment. You are only repaid (with punishment) for those actions of yours that you deliberately committed.´ | ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْخُلْدِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلاَّ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ |
| Wa Yastanbi'ūnaka 'Aĥaqqun Huwa ۖ Qul 'Ī Wa Rabbī 'Innahu Laĥaqqun ۖ Wa Mā 'Antum Bimu`jizīna | َ010-053 They inquire of you (to inform them), `Is this (warning about punishment) certain to be true?´ Say, `Yes, by my Lord! it is most surely bound to be true. You cannot frustrate Him (in His purpose in order to avert it).´ | وَيَسْتَنْبِئُونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ إِي وَرَبِّي إِنَّه ُُ لَحَقّ ٌ ۖ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ |
| Wa Law 'Anna Likulli Nafsin Žalamat Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Lāftadat Bihi ۗ Wa 'Asarrū An-Nadāmata Lammā Ra'aw Al-`Adhāba ۖ Wa Quđiya Baynahum Bil-Qisţi ۚ Wa Hum Lā Yužlamūna | َ010-054 And if every soul that has committed wrong had all the treasures of the earth, it would surely offer (the whole of) it to ransom (itself) therewith. And they will express (their) hidden remorse (and repent) when they see the punishment; but the matter will be judged between them equitably and no injustice shall be done to them. | وَلَوْ أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفْس ٍ ظَلَمَتْ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ لاَفْتَدَتْ بِه ِِ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ ۖ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ |
| 'Alā 'Inna Lillahi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۗ 'Alā 'Inna Wa`da Al-Lahi Ĥaqqun Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Ya`lamūna | َ010-055 Behold! whatever is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allâh. Behold! surely Allâh´s promise is true, though most of them do not know (this truth). | أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۗ أَلاَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقّ ٌ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Huwa Yuĥyī Wa Yumītu Wa 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna | َ010-056 It is He Who gives life and causes death and to Him you shall all be made to return. | هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ |
| Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu Qad Jā'atkum Maw`ižatun Min Rabbikum Wa Shifā'un Limā Fī Aş-Şudūri Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatun Lilmu'uminīna | َ010-057 O mankind! there has come to you an exhortation (to do away with your weaknesses) from your Lord and a cure for whatever (disease) is in your hearts, and (a Book full of) excellent guidance and a mercy, (and full of blessings) to the believers (in the ultimate form of the Qur´ân). | يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُمْ مَوْعِظَة ٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاء ٌ لِمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدى ً وَرَحْمَة ٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Qul Bifađli Al-Lahi Wa Biraĥmatihi Fabidhālika Falyafraĥū Huwa Khayrun Mimmā Yajma`ūna | َ010-058 Say, `All this (revelation of the Qur´ân) is through the grace of Allâh and His mercy. In this, therefore, let them rejoice, (because) this (Qur´ân) is better than all that they hoard.´ | قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِه ِِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْر ٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ |
| Qul 'Ara'aytum Mā 'Anzala Al-Lahu Lakum Min Rizqin Faja`altum Minhu Ĥarāmāan Wa Ĥalālāan Qul 'Ālllahu 'Adhina Lakum ۖ 'Am `Alá Al-Lahi Taftarūna | َ010-059 Say, `Have you considered that, out of the provisions Allâh has provided for you, you have classified by yourselves some as unlawful and some lawful?´ Say, `Has Allâh given you leave (to do so) or do you forge lies in the name of Allâh?´ | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ مِنْ رِزْق ٍ فَجَعَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ حَرَاما ً وَحَلالا ً قُلْ أَاللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُمْ ۖ أَمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ تَفْتَرُونَ |
| Wa Mā Žannu Al-Ladhīna Yaftarūna `Alá Al-Lahi Al-Kadhiba Yawma Al-Qiyāmati ۗ 'Inna Al-Laha Ladhū Fađlin `Alá An-Nāsi Wa Lakinna 'Aktharahum Lā Yashkurūna | َ010-060 What do those, who forge lies in the name of Allâh, think of the Day of Resurrection? Surely, Allâh is Gracious towards mankind but most of them do not thank (Him). | وَمَا ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ |
| Wa Mā Takūnu Fī Sha'nin Wa Mā Tatlū Minhu Min Qur'ānin Wa Lā Ta`malūna Min `Amalin 'Illā Kunnā `Alaykum Shuhūdāan 'Idh Tufīđūna Fīhi ۚ Wa Mā Ya`zubu `An Rabbika Min Mithqāli Dharratin Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Lā Fī As-Samā'i Wa Lā 'Aşghara Min Dhālika Wa Lā 'Akbara 'Illā Fī Kitābin Mubīnin | َ010-061 And (O Prophet!) in whatever state you may be and whatever portion of the Qur´ân you recite from Him, and (O people!) you do no work but We are watching over you when you are engrossed therein. There does not escape from your Lord even so much as an atom´s weight in the earth or in the heavens, neither is there anything smaller than that nor greater but it is recorded in a plain book (of divine law and is governed thereby). | وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْن ٍ وَمَا تَتْلُوا مِنْهُ مِنْ قُرْآن ٍ وَلاَ تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَل ٍ إِلاَّ كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودا ً إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيه ِِ ۚ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْ رَبِّكَ مِنْ مِثْقَالِ ذَرَّة ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ أَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَلاَ أَكْبَرَ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَاب ٍ مُبِين ٍ |
| 'Alā 'Inna 'Awliyā'a Al-Lahi Lā Khawfun `Alayhim Wa Lā Hum Yaĥzanūna | َ010-062 Behold! the friends of Allâh, neither fear shall overwhelm them, nor shall they (ever) remain in grief. | أَلاَ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ |
| Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Kānū Yattaqūna | َ010-063 (It is) those who believed and ever kept on guarding against evil. | الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ |
| Lahumu Al-Bushrá Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Fī Al-'Ākhirati ۚ Lā Tabdīla Likalimāti Al-Lahi ۚ Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu | َ010-064 They shall have glad tidings (for they commune with their Lord) in the present life and (also) in the Hereafter. There is no changing the words of Allâh; that indeed is the supreme achievement. | لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الآخِرَةِ ۚ لاَ تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ |
| Wa Lā Yaĥzunka Qawluhum ۘ 'Inna Al-`Izzata Lillahi Jamī`āan ۚ Huwa As-Samī`u Al-`Alīmu | َ010-065 And do not let their (-your opponents´ hostile) words grieve you, (because) all power belongs to Allâh. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. | وَلاَ يَحْزُنْكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعاً ۚ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ |
| 'Alā 'Inna Lillahi Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Man Fī Al-'Arđi ۗ Wa Mā Yattabi`u Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Shurakā'a ۚ 'In Yattabi`ūna 'Illā Až-Žanna Wa 'In Hum 'Illā Yakhruşūna | َ010-066 Behold! surely to Allâh belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. Those who call on gods other than Allâh (as a matter of fact) do not follow their (associated) partners (with Allâh), they follow nothing but (their own) surmises and they do nothing but conjecture. | أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ |
| Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Lakumu Al-Layla Litaskunū Fīhi Wa An-Nahāra Mubşirāan ۚ 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yasma`ūna | َ010-067 It is He Who made for you the night (dark) so that you may rest in it, and (Who) made the day full of light (that you may work in it). Surely, in this there are many signs for the people who would listen (to the Messages of God). | هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيه ِِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرا ً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَسْمَعُونَ |
| Qālū Attakhadha Al-Lahu Waladāan ۗ Subĥānahu ۖ Huwa Al-Ghanīyu ۖ Lahu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi ۚ 'In `Indakum Min Sulţānin Bihadhā ۚ 'Ataqūlūna `Alá Al-Lahi Mā Lā Ta`lamūna | َ010-068 (Some of) these people (have gone so far as to) say, `Allâh has taken to Him a son?´ Holy is He! He is Self-Sufficient. Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth belongs to Him. You have no authority for (attributing) this (to Him). Do you attribute to Allâh what you do not know (yourselves)? | قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدا ً ۗ سُبْحَانَه ُُ ۖ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ ۖ لَه ُُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ ۚ إِنْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَان ٍ بِهَذَا ۚ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Qul 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yaftarūna `Alá Al-Lahi Al-Kadhiba Lā Yufliĥūna | َ010-069 Say, `Surely, those who forge a lie in the name of Allâh will never attain the goal.´ | قُلْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ لاَ يُفْلِحُونَ |
| Matā`un Fī Ad-Dunyā Thumma 'Ilaynā Marji`uhum Thumma Nudhīquhumu Al-`Adhāba Ash-Shadīda Bimā Kānū Yakfurūna | َ010-070 (They will have) some provision (to enjoy) in this world then to Us shall be their return, then We shall make them suffer a terrible punishment because of their hiding (the truth) and because they continue to disbelieve. | مَتَاع ٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ نُذِيقُهُمُ الْعَذَابَ الشَّدِيدَ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ |
| Wa Atlu `Alayhim Naba'a Nūĥin 'Idh Qāla Liqawmihi Yā Qawmi 'In Kāna Kabura `Alaykum Maqāmī Wa Tadhkīrī Bi'āyā Ti Al-Lahi Fa`alá Al-Lahi Tawakkaltu Fa'ajmi`ū 'Amrakum Wa Shurakā'akum Thumma Lā Yakun 'Amrukum `Alaykum Ghummatan Thumma Aqđū 'Ilayya Wa Lā Tunžirūni | َ010-071 Relate to them (some of) the life-events of Noah, because he (also) had said to his people, `O my people! if my station (with God) and my reminding you (of your duty to God) through the Messages of Allâh is hard upon you, (you should bear in mind that as for me) I put my trust in Allâh. (And on your part you should) decide upon your course of action (mustering all your resources to gain success), and call your allies to your help, then do not let your designs be vague to you, then carry them out against me and give me no respite. | وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوح ٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِه ِِ يَاقَوْمِ إِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَقَامِي وَتَذْكِيرِي بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَعَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوا أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَاءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّة ً ثُمَّ اقْضُوا إِلَيَّ وَلاَ تُنْظِرُونِ |
| Fa'in Tawallaytum Famā Sa'altukum Min 'Ajrin ۖ 'In 'Ajrī 'Illā `Alá Al-Lahi ۖ Wa 'Umirtu 'An 'Akūna Mina Al-Muslimīna | َ010-072 `But if you turn back (you will suffer for it). I have asked of you no reward (for any of my services to you). My reward lies with Allâh alone. And I have been commanded to be of those who fully resign themselves (to Him).´ | فَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَجْر ٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِي إِلاَّ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
| Fakadhdhabūhu Fanajjaynāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Wa Ja`alnāhum Khalā'ifa Wa 'Aghraqnā Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā ۖ Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mundharīna | َ010-073 But still they cried lies to him. So We saved him (-Noah) and all those who were with him in the Ark and We made them rulers while We drowned those who had cried lies to Our Messages. Behold then, how evil was the end of those who had been warned (beforehand). | فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَنَجَّيْنَاه ُُ وَمَنْ مَعَه ُُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ خَلاَئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ |
| Thumma Ba`athnā Min Ba`dihi Rusulāan 'Ilá Qawmihim Fajā'ūhum Bil-Bayyināti Famā Kānū Liyu'uminū Bimā Kadhdhabū Bihi Min Qablu ۚ Kadhālika Naţba`u `Alá Qulūbi Al-Mu`tadīna | َ010-074 Then We sent after him (-Noah, many) Messengers to their (respective) people and they brought them clear proofs; but they would not believe (in them), because they had already cried lies to them. In this way We seal the hearts of the transgressors (because of their own stubborn and unjustified refusal to listen). | ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ رُسُلا ً إِلَى قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاءُوهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا بِمَا كَذَّبُوا بِه ِِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَى قُلُوبِ الْمُعْتَدِينَ |
| Thumma Ba`athnā Min Ba`dihim Mūsá Wa Hārūna 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Bi'āyātinā Fāstakbarū Wa Kānū Qawmāan Mujrimīna | َ010-075 Then We sent after them Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they behaved arrogantly. And they were a people who had cut off their ties (with Allâh). | ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِه ِِ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْما ً مُجْرِمِينَ |
| Falammā Jā'ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Min `Indinā Qālū 'Inna Hādhā Lasiĥrun Mubīnun | َ010-076 And when there came to them the truth from Us, they said, `This is, of course, enchantment creating dissension.´ | فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا إِنَّ هَذَا لَسِحْر ٌ مُبِين ٌ |
| Qāla Mūsá 'Ataqūlūna Lilĥaqqi Lammā Jā'akum ۖ 'Asiĥrun Hādhā Wa Lā Yufliĥu As-Sāĥirūna | َ010-077 Moses said, `Is that how you talk of the truth when it has come to you? Can this be an enchantment, whereas the enchanters never attain their goal?´ | قَالَ مُوسَى أَتَقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَكُمْ ۖ أَسِحْرٌ هَذَا وَلاَ يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُونَ |
| Qālū 'Aji'tanā Litalfitanā `Ammā Wajadnā `Alayhi 'Ābā'anā Wa Takūna Lakumā Al-Kibriyā'u Fī Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Naĥnu Lakumā Bimu'uminīna | َ010-078 They said, `Have you come to us that you may turn us away from what we found our forefathers practising and to make sure that you two reign supreme in the land? But (remember) we will not believe in either of you at all.´ | قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا الْكِبْرِيَاءُ فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Qāla Fir`awnu A'tūnī Bikulli Sāĥirin `Alīmin | َ010-079 And Pharaoh said (to his people), `Bring every skilled sorcerer to me.´ | وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ ائْتُونِي بِكُلِّ سَاحِرٍ عَلِيم ٍ |
| Falammā Jā'a As-Saĥaratu Qāla Lahum Mūsá 'Alqū Mā 'Antum Mulqūna | َ010-080 Now when the sorcerers came, Moses said to them, `Present whatever you have to present.´ | فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَى أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ |
| Falammā 'Alqaw Qāla Mūsá Mā Ji'tum Bihi As-Siĥru ۖ 'Inna Al-Laha Sayubţiluhu ۖ 'Inna Al-Laha Lā Yuşliĥu `Amala Al-Mufsidīna | َ010-081 Then, when they had presented (what they would present), Moses said, `What you have brought is a mere deception. Allâh will soon render it void (because) Allâh does not at all allow the machination of the mischief-makers to thrive. | فَلَمَّا أَلْقَوْا قَالَ مُوسَى مَا جِئْتُمْ بِهِ السِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ~ُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Wa Yuĥiqqu Al-Lahu Al-Ĥaqqa Bikalimātihi Wa Law Kariha Al-Mujrimūna | َ010-082 `And Allâh will establish the truth by dint of His decrees even though the guilty may find (it) hard.´ | وَيُحِقُّ اللَّهُ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِه ِِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Famā 'Āmana Limūsá 'Illā Dhurrīyatun Min Qawmihi `Alá Khawfin Min Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihim 'An Yaftinahum ۚ Wa 'Inna Fir`awna La`ālin Fī Al-'Arđi Wa 'Innahu Lamina Al-Musrifīna | َ010-083 None, however, but a few youths from among his people accepted Moses (while others held back), for fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs lest he should persecute them. And surely Pharaoh was ever a tyrant in the land and truthfully he was of those who committed excesses (and high-handedness). | فَمَا آمَنَ لِمُوسَى إِلاَّ ذُرِّيَّة ٌ مِنْ قَوْمِه ِِ عَلَى خَوْف ٍ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَال ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ |
| Wa Qāla Mūsá Yā Qawmi 'In Kuntum 'Āmantum Bil-Lahi Fa`alayhi Tawakkalū 'In Kuntum Muslimīna | َ010-084 And Moses said, `O my people! put your trust in Allâh, if you have (really) believed in Him (and) if you have (truly) submitted (to His will).´ | وَقَالَ مُوسَى يَاقَوْمِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ فَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلُوا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُسْلِمِينَ |
| Faqālū `Alá Al-Lahi Tawakkalnā Rabbanā Lā Taj`alnā Fitnatan Lilqawmi Až-Žālimīna | َ010-085 Thereupon they said, `In Allâh alone do we put our trust. Our Lord! do not make us a target of persecution of the wrongdoing people. | فَقَالُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَة ً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Wa Najjinā Biraĥmatika Mina Al-Qawmi Al-Kāfirīna | َ010-086 `And deliver us by your mercy from (the evil designs of) the disbelieving people.´ | وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá Wa 'Akhīhi 'An Tabawwa'ā Liqawmikumā Bimişra Buyūtāan Wa Aj`alū Buyūtakum Qiblatan Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata ۗ Wa Bashshiri Al-Mu'uminīna | َ010-087 And We spoke to Moses and his brother (Aaron saying), `You both should prepare lodging for your people (bringing them together from different parts of the country) in the central town (of Egypt) and make your houses so as to face one another and perform worship.´ And (We also revealed to them to) proclaim good tidings (of success) to the believers. | وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى وَأَخِيهِ~ِ أَنْ تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتا ً وَاجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَة ً وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Qāla Mūsá Rabbanā 'Innaka 'Ātayta Fir`awna Wa Mala'ahu Zīnatan Wa 'Amwālāan Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Rabbanā Liyuđillū `An Sabīlika ۖ Rabbanā Aţmis `Alá 'Amwālihim Wa Ashdud `Alá Qulūbihim Falā Yu'uminū Ĥattá Yaraw Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma | َ010-088 And Moses said (praying and Aaron joined him in prayer), `Our Lord! You have given Pharaoh and his chiefs pomp and wealth in the present life with the result, Our Lord! that they lead people astray from Your path. Our Lord! destroy their wealth and attack their hearts, so that they believe not until they see the grievous punishment.´ | وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ آتَيْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَأَه ُُ زِينَة ً وَأَمْوَالا ً فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِكَ ۖ رَبَّنَا اطْمِسْ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَاشْدُدْ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَلاَ يُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى يَرَوْا الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ |
| Qāla Qad 'Ujībat Da`watukumā Fāstaqīmā Wa Lā Tattabi`āni Sabīla Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna | َ010-089 (The Lord) said, `The prayer of you both has been accepted, so remain you two steadfast and follow not the way of those who do not know.´ | قَالَ قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَقِيمَا وَلاَ تَتَّبِعَانِ سَبِيلَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Wa Jāwaznā Bibanī 'Isrā'īla Al-Baĥra Fa'atba`ahum Fir`awnu Wa Junūduhu Baghyāan Wa`adwan ۖ Ĥattá 'Idhā 'Adrakahu Al-Gharaqu Qāla 'Āmantu 'Annahu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Al-Ladhī 'Āmanat Bihi Banū 'Isrā'īla Wa 'Anā Mina Al-Muslimīna | َ010-090 And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his legion pursued them in wanton aggression and for no justified cause till when he (Pharaoh) was about to be drowned, he cried, `I (confess and) believe that there is no One worthy of worship but He in Whom the Children of Israel have believed in, and I am of those who submit (to Him).´ | وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْبَحْرَ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ وَجُنُودُه ُُ بَغْيا ً وَعَدْواً ۖ حَتَّى إِذَا أَدْرَكَهُ الْغَرَقُ قَالَ آمَنْتُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ~َ إِلاَّ الَّذِي آمَنَتْ بِه ِِ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ |
| 'Āl'āna Wa Qad `Aşayta Qablu Wa Kunta Mina Al-Mufsidīna | َ010-091 (The Lord) said, `What! (do you remember) now (while dying), whereas you had (always) disobeyed before (this), and you had been of the miscreants! | أَالآنَ وَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ قَبْلُ وَكُنْتَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Fālyawma Nunajjīka Bibadanika Litakūna Liman Khalfaka 'Āyatan ۚ Wa 'Inna Kathīrāan Mina An-Nāsi `An 'Āyātinā Laghāfilūna | َ010-092 `So, on this day We will preserve you in your body (only) that you may be a sign (to learn a lesson from) for the coming generations, though most of the people are quite heedless of Our signs.´ | فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ آيَة ً ۚ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرا ً مِنَ النَّاسِ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا لَغَافِلُونَ |
| Wa Laqad Bawwa'nā Banī 'Isrā'īla Mubawwa'a Şidqin Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Famā Akhtalafū Ĥattá Jā'ahumu Al-`Ilmu ۚ 'Inna Rabbaka Yaqđī Baynahum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Fīmā Kānū Fīhi Yakhtalifūna | َ010-093 And We assigned to the Children of Israel an excellent place to settle (in Palestine), and We provided them with good and pure things; and they differed not (among themselves) until there had come to them true knowledge. Surely, your Lord will, on the Day of Resurrection, settle the issue between them concerning which they differ (now). | وَلَقَدْ بَوَّأْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدْق ٍ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ فَمَا اخْتَلَفُوا حَتَّى جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِي بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيه ِِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Fa'in Kunta Fī Shakkin Mimmā 'Anzalnā 'Ilayka Fās'ali Al-Ladhīna Yaqra'ūna Al-Kitāba Min Qablika ۚ Laqad Jā'aka Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Falā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mumtarīna | َ010-094 And if you (O reader!) are in doubt regarding that which We have revealed to you, ask those who have read this Book (- the Qur´ân) before you. (They will tell you that) there has, infact, come to you the perfect truth from your Lord, so be not of the contenders at all. | فَإِنْ كُنْتَ فِي شَكّ ٍ مِمَّا أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ فَاسْأَلِ الَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ ۚ لَقَدْ جَاءَكَ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ المُمْتَرِينَ |
| Wa Lā Takūnanna Mina Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyāti Al-Lahi Fatakūna Mina Al-Khāsirīna | َ010-095 And be not of those who cry lies to the Messages of Allâh, for then you shall be of the losers. | وَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
| 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqat `Alayhim Kalimatu Rabbika Lā Yu'uminūna | َ010-096 Verily, those against whom the verdict (of punishment) of your Lord has been confirmed will not believe, | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِمْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Wa Law Jā'at/hum Kullu 'Āyatin Ĥattá Yaraw Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma | َ010-097 Till they see the grievous punishment, even though they have witnessed every (kind of) sign. | وَلَوْ جَاءَتْهُمْ كُلُّ آيَةٍ حَتَّى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ |
| Falawlā Kānat Qaryatun 'Āmanat Fanafa`ahā 'Īmānuhā 'Illā Qawma Yūnis Lammā 'Āmanū Kashafnā `Anhum `Adhāba Al-Khizyi Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Matta`nāhum 'Ilá Ĥīnin | َ010-098 Why was there no community other than the people of Jonah who should have believed (as a whole), so that their belief would have done them good? (If it had been so it would have been much better), for when they (-the people of Jonah) believed, We spared them a humiliating punishment in the present life and We gave them provision (to avail themselves therefrom) for a time. | فَلَوْلاَ كَانَتْ قَرْيَة ٌ آمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَا إِيمَانُهَا إِلاَّ قَوْمَ يُونِس لَمَّا آمَنُوا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِين ٍ |
| Wa Law Shā'a Rabbuka La'āmana Man Fī Al-'Arđi Kulluhum Jamī`āan ۚ 'Afa'anta Tukrihu An-Nāsa Ĥattá Yakūnū Mu'uminīna | َ010-099 And if your Lord had (enforced) His will those who are on the earth would have believed one and all. Would you then constrain the people to become believers (while Allâh has not forced them to believe)? | وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَآمَنَ مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ كُلُّهُمْ جَمِيعاً ۚ أَفَأَنْتَ تُكْرِهُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa Mā Kāna Linafsin 'An Tu'umina 'Illā Bi'idhni Al-Lahi ۚ Wa Yaj`alu Ar-Rijsa `Alá Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`qilūna | َ010-100 Indeed, no one can believe save by the leave of Allâh. Yet He will inflict (His) punishment on those who would not refrain (from evil). | وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجْعَلُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Qul Anžurū Mādhā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi ۚ Wa Mā Tughnī Al-'Āyātu Wa An-Nudhuru `An Qawmin Lā Yu'uminūna | َ010-101 Say, `Behold (the miracles) which are happening in the heavens and the earth (in support of the Prophet Muhammad,) though, (it is true at the same time) that signs and warnings are of no good to a people who do not believe (owing to obstinacy and ignorance). | قُلْ انْظُرُوا مَاذَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا تُغْنِي الآيَاتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْم ٍ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ |
| Fahal Yantažirūna 'Illā Mithla 'Ayyāmi Al-Ladhīna Khalaw Min Qablihim ۚ Qul Fāntažirū 'Innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Muntažirīna | َ010-102 They only wait for the like of the calamities (to be repeated) as were suffered by those who passed away before them. Say, `Wait then (and) I am with you among those who wait.´ | فَهَلْ يَنْتَظِرُونَ إِلاَّ مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ قُلْ فَانْتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِرِينَ |
| Thumma Nunajjī Rusulanā Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū ۚ Kadhālika Ĥaqqāan `Alaynā Nunji Al-Mu'uminīna | َ010-103 Then (when the punishment descends, We shall destroy the evil doers, but) We shall save Our Messengers and those who believed. Thus (does it always happen), We have made it binding upon Ourselves to save the believers. | ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ كَذَلِكَ حَقّاً عَلَيْنَا نُنْجِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Qul Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu 'In Kuntum Fī Shakkin Min Dīnī Falā 'A`budu Al-Ladhīna Ta`budūna Min Dūni Al-Lahi Wa Lakin 'A`budu Al-Laha Al-Ladhī Yatawaffākum ۖ Wa 'Umirtu 'An 'Akūna Mina Al-Mu'uminīna | َ010-104 Say, `O you people! if you are in doubt regarding my creed, then (be sure that) I do not worship those whom you worship apart from Allâh, but I worship Allâh (alone), Who causes you to die. And I have been commanded that I should be of the believers. | قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي شَكّ ٍ مِنْ دِينِي فَلاَ أَعْبُدُ الَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ أَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ وَأُمِرْتُ ۖ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Wa 'An 'Aqim Wajhaka Lilddīni Ĥanīfāan Wa Lā Takūnanna Mina Al-Mushrikīna | َ010-105 `And (I have also been commanded to convey to you God´s Message), "Devote your attention to the true faith in an upright manner, and be not of the polytheists. | وَأَنْ أَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفا ً وَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ |
| Wa Lā Tad`u Min Dūni Al-Lahi Mā Lā Yanfa`uka Wa Lā Yađurruka ۖ Fa'in Fa`alta Fa'innaka 'Idhāan Mina Až-Žālimīna | َ010-106 And do not call upon, apart from Allâh any other that can neither do good to you, nor can harm you (of his own) for if you do so you shall certainly be of the unjust.´ | وَلاَ تَدْعُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لاَ يَنْفَعُكَ وَلاَ يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذا ً مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Wa 'In Yamsaska Al-Lahu Biđurrin Falā Kāshifa Lahu 'Illā Huwa ۖ Wa 'In Yuridka Bikhayrin Falā Rādda Lifađlihi ۚ Yuşību Bihi Man Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi ۚ Wa Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu | َ010-107 And if Allâh afflicts you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He desires any good for you, none can stop His bounty. He bestows it on whomsoever of His servants He wishes. And He is the Great Protector, the Ever Merciful. | وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرّ ٍ فَلاَ كَاشِفَ لَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ هُوَ ۖ وَإِنْ يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْر ٍ فَلاَ رَادَّ لِفَضْلِه ِِ ۚ يُصِيبُ بِه ِِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِه ِِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ |
| Qul Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nāsu Qad Jā'akumu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbikum ۖ Famani Ahtadá Fa'innamā Yahtadī Linafsihi ۖ Wa Man Đalla Fa'innamā Yađillu `Alayhā ۖ Wa Mā 'Anā `Alaykum Biwakīlin | َ010-108 Say, `O you people! there has come to you the truth from your Lord, so whosoever follows guidance follows it only for (the good of) his own soul, and he who goes astray, only goes astray against it. And I am not responsible for you. | قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَمَنِ ۖ اهْتَدَى فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِه ِِ وَمَنْ ۖ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَمَا ۖ أَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ بِوَكِيل ٍ |
| Wa Attabi` Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayka Wa Aşbir Ĥattá Yaĥkuma Al-Lahu ۚ Wa Huwa Khayru Al-Ĥākimīna | َ010-109 And follow that which is revealed to you and patiently persevere till Allâh gives His judgment, for He is the Best of judges. | وَاتَّبِعْ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيْكَ وَاصْبِرْ حَتَّى يَحْكُمَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ |
