78) Sūrat An-Naba'

`Amma Yatasā'alūna What are they asking (one another)? (An-Naba 78:1)
`Ani An-Naba'i Al-`Ažīmi About the great news, (i.e. Islāmic Monotheism, the Qur'ān, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.), (An-Naba 78:2)
Al-Ladhī Hum Fīhi Mukhtalifūna About which they are in disagreement. (An-Naba 78:3)
Kallā Saya`lamūna Nay, they will come to know! (An-Naba 78:4)
Thumma Kallā Saya`lamūna Nay, again, they will come to know! (An-Naba 78:5)
'Alam Naj`ali Al-'Arđa Mihādāan Have We not made the earth as a bed, (An-Naba 78:6)
Wa Al-Jibāla 'Awtādāan And the mountains as pegs? (An-Naba 78:7)
Wa Khalaqnākum 'Azwājāan And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). (An-Naba 78:8)
Wa Ja`alnā Nawmakum Subātāan And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. (An-Naba 78:9)
Wa Ja`alnā Al-Layla Libāsāan And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness), (An-Naba 78:10)
Wa Ja`alnā An-Nahāra Ma`āshāan And have made the day for livelihood. (An-Naba 78:11)
Wa Banaynā Fawqakum Sab`āan Shidādāan And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), (An-Naba 78:12)
Wa Ja`alnā Sirājāan Wa Hhājāan And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun). (An-Naba 78:13)
Wa 'Anzalnā Mina Al-Mu`şirāti Mā'an Thajjājāan And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. (An-Naba 78:14)
Linukhrija Bihi Ĥabbāan Wa Nabātāan That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations, (An-Naba 78:15)
Wa Jannātin 'Alfāfāan And gardens of thick growth. (An-Naba 78:16)
'Inna Yawma Al-Faşli Kāna Mīqātāan Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, (An-Naba 78:17)
Yawma Yunfakhu Fī Aş-Şūri Fata'tūna 'Afwājāan The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups); (An-Naba 78:18)
Wa Futiĥati As-Samā'u Fakānat 'Abwābāan And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, (An-Naba 78:19)
Wa Suyyirati Al-Jibālu Fakānat Sarābāan And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. (An-Naba 78:20)
'Inna Jahannama Kānat Mirşādāan Truly, Hell is a place of ambush, (An-Naba 78:21)
Lilţţāghīna Ma'āan A dwelling place for the Tāghûn (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allāh like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allāh, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), (An-Naba 78:22)
Lābithīna Fīhā 'Aĥqābāan They will abide therein for ages, (An-Naba 78:23)
Lā Yadhūqūna Fīhā Bardāan Wa Lā Sharābāan Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink. (An-Naba 78:24)
'Illā Ĥamīmāan Wa Ghassāqāan Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. (An-Naba 78:25)
Jazā'an Wifāqāan An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes). (An-Naba 78:26)
'Innahum Kānū Lā Yarjūna Ĥisābāan For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. (An-Naba 78:27)
Wa Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Kidhdhābāan But they belied Our Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely. (An-Naba 78:28)
Wa Kulla Shay'in 'Aĥşaynāhu Kitābāan And all things We have recorded in a Book. (An-Naba 78:29)
Fadhūqū Falan Nazīdakum 'Illā `Adhābāan So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. (An-Naba 78:30)
'Inna Lilmuttaqīna Mafāzāan Verily, for the Muttaqûn, there will be a success (Paradise); (An-Naba 78:31)
Ĥadā'iqa Wa 'A`nābāan Gardens and grapeyards; (An-Naba 78:32)
Wa Kawā`iba 'Atrābāan And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age; (An-Naba 78:33)
Wa Ka'sāan Dihāqāan And a full cup (of wine). (An-Naba 78:34)
Lā Yasma`ūna Fīhā Laghwan Wa Lā Kidhdhābāan No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying; (An-Naba 78:35)
Jazā'an Min Rabbika `Aţā'an Ĥisābāan A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of their good deeds). (An-Naba 78:36)
Rabbi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Ar-Raĥmāni Lā Yamlikūna Minhu Khiţābāan (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Beneficent, none can dare to speak with Him (on the Day of Resurrection except after His Leave). (An-Naba 78:37)
Yawma Yaqūmu Ar-Rūĥu Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Şaffāan Lā Yatakallamūna 'Illā Man 'Adhina Lahu Ar-Raĥmānu Wa Qāla Şawābāan The Day that Ar-Rûh [Jibrael (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allāh) allows, and he will speak what is right. (An-Naba 78:38)
Dhālika Al-Yawmu Al-Ĥaqqu Faman Shā'a Attakhadha 'Ilá Rabbihi Ma'āan That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)! (An-Naba 78:39)
'Innā 'Andharnākum `Adhābāan Qarībāan Yawma Yanžuru Al-Mar'u Mā Qaddamat Yadāhu Wa Yaqūlu Al-Kāfiru Yā Laytanī Kuntu Turābāan Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!" (An-Naba 78:40)
