79) Sūrat An-Nāzi`āt

Wa An-Nāzi`āti Gharqāan By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; (An-Nazi'at 79:1)
Wa An-Nāshāti Nashţāan By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); (An-Nazi'at 79:2)
Wa As-Sābiĥāti Sabĥāan And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). (An-Nazi'at 79:3)
Fālssābiqāti Saban And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). (An-Nazi'at 79:4)
Fālmudabbirāti 'Amrāan And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). (An-Nazi'at 79:5)
Yawma Tarjufu Ar-Rājifahu On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), (An-Nazi'at 79:6)
Tatba`uhā Ar-Rādifahu The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), (An-Nazi'at 79:7)
Qulūbun Yawma'idhin Wājifahun (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. (An-Nazi'at 79:8)
'Abşāruhā Khāshi`ahun Their eyes cast down. (An-Nazi'at 79:9)
Yaqūlūna 'A'innā Lamardūdūna Fī Al-Ĥāfirahi They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? (An-Nazi'at 79:10)
'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Nakhirahan "Even after we are crumbled bones?" (An-Nazi'at 79:11)
Qālū Tilka 'Idhāan Karratun Khāsirahun They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" (An-Nazi'at 79:12)
Fa'innamā Hiya Zajratun Wāĥidahun But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). (An-Nazi'at 79:13)
Fa'idhā Hum Bis-Sāhirahi When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, (An-Nazi'at 79:14)
Hal 'Tāka Ĥadīthu Mūsá Has there come to you the story of Mûsa (Moses)? (An-Nazi'at 79:15)
'Idh Nādāhu Rabbuhu Bil-Wādi Al-Muqaddasi Ţūáan When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tûwa, (An-Nazi'at 79:16)
Adh/hab 'Ilá Fir`awna 'Innahu Ţaghá Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). (An-Nazi'at 79:17)
Faqul Hal Laka 'Ilá 'An Tazakká And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", (An-Nazi'at 79:18)
Wa 'Ahdiyaka 'Ilá Rabbika Fatakhshá And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? (An-Nazi'at 79:19)
Fa'arāhu Al-'Āyata Al-Kub Then [Mûsa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). (An-Nazi'at 79:20)
Fakadhdhaba Wa `Aşá But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; (An-Nazi'at 79:21)
Thumma 'Adbara Yas`á Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allāh). (An-Nazi'at 79:22)
Faĥashara Fanādá Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, (An-Nazi'at 79:23)
Faqāla 'Anā Rabbukumu Al-'A`lá Saying: "I am your lord, most high", (An-Nazi'at 79:24)
Fa'akhadhahu Al-Lahu Nakāla Al-'Ākhirati Wa Al-'Ū So Allāh, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. (An-Nazi'at 79:25)
'Inna Fī Dhālika La`ibratan Liman Yakhshá Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allāh. (An-Nazi'at 79:26)
'A'antum 'Ashaddu Khalqāan 'Ami As-Samā'u Banāhā Are you more difficult to create, or is the heaven that He constructed? (An-Nazi'at 79:27)
Rafa`a Samkahā Fasawwāhā He raised its height, and He has equally ordered it, (An-Nazi'at 79:28)
Wa 'Aghţasha Laylahā Wa 'Akhraja Đuĥāhā Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light). (An-Nazi'at 79:29)
Wa Al-'Arđa Ba`da Dhālika Daĥāhā And after that He spread the earth; (An-Nazi'at 79:30)
'Akhraja Minhā Mā'ahā Wa Mar`āhā And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; (An-Nazi'at 79:31)
Wa Al-Jibāla 'Arsāhā And the mountains He has fixed firmly; (An-Nazi'at 79:32)
Matā`āan Lakum Wa Li'an`āmikum (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. (An-Nazi'at 79:33)
Fa'idhā Jā'ati Aţāmmatu Al-Kub But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), (An-Nazi'at 79:34)
Yawma Yatadhakkaru Al-'Insānu Mā Sa`á The Day when man shall remember what he strove for, (An-Nazi'at 79:35)
Wa Burrizati Al-Jaĥīmu Liman Yará And Hell-fire shall be made apparent in full view for (every) one who sees, (An-Nazi'at 79:36)
Fa'ammā Man Ţaghá Then, for him who Taghā (transgressed all bounds, in disbelief, oppression and evil deeds of disobedience to Allāh). (An-Nazi'at 79:37)
Wa 'Āthara Al-Ĥayāata Ad-Dun And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), (An-Nazi'at 79:38)
Fa'inna Al-Jaĥīma Hiya Al-Ma'wá Verily, his abode will be Hell-fire; (An-Nazi'at 79:39)
Wa 'Ammā Man Khāfa Maqāma Rabbihi Wa Nahá An-Nafsa `Ani Al-Hawá But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. (An-Nazi'at 79:40)
Fa'inna Al-Jannata Hiya Al-Ma'wá Verily, Paradise will be his abode. (An-Nazi'at 79:41)
Yas'alūnaka `Ani As-Sā`ati 'Ayyāna Mursāhā They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about the Hour, - when will be its appointed time? (An-Nazi'at 79:42)
Fīma 'Anta Min Dhikrāhā You have no knowledge to say anything about it, (An-Nazi'at 79:43)
'Ilá Rabbika Muntahāhā To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? (An-Nazi'at 79:44)
'Innamā 'Anta Mundhiru Man Yakhshāhā You (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) are only a warner for those who fear it, (An-Nazi'at 79:45)
Ka'annahum Yawma Yarawnahā Lam Yalbathū 'Illā `Ashīyatan 'Aw Đuĥāhā The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. (An-Nazi'at 79:46)
