Lā 'Uqsimu Biyawmi Al-Qiyāmahi | I swear by the Day of Resurrection; (Al-Qiyamah 75:1) |
Wa Lā 'Uqsimu Bin-Nafsi Al-Lawwāmahi | And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). (Al-Qiyamah 75:2) |
'Ayaĥsabu Al-'Insānu 'Allan Najma`a `Ižāmahu | Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? (Al-Qiyamah 75:3) |
Balá Qādirīna `Alá 'An Nusawwiya Banānahu | Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. (Al-Qiyamah 75:4) |
Bal Yurīdu Al-'Insānu Liyafjura 'Amāmahu | Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. (Al-Qiyamah 75:5) |
Yas'alu 'Ayyāna Yawmu Al-Qiyāmahi | He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" (Al-Qiyamah 75:6) |
Fa'idhā Bariqa Al-Başaru | So, when the sight shall be dazed, (Al-Qiyamah 75:7) |
Wa Khasafa Al-Qamaru | And the moon will be eclipsed, (Al-Qiyamah 75:8) |
Wa Jumi`a Ash-Shamsu Wa Al-Qamaru | And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) (Al-Qiyamah 75:9) |
Yaqūlu Al-'Insānu Yawma'idhin 'Ayna Al-Mafarru | On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" (Al-Qiyamah 75:10) |
Kallā Lā Wazara | No! There is no refuge! (Al-Qiyamah 75:11) |
'Ilá Rabbika Yawma'idhin Al-Mustaqarru | Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. (Al-Qiyamah 75:12) |
Yunabba'u Al-'Insānu Yawma'idhin Bimā Qaddama Wa 'Akhkhara | On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). (Al-Qiyamah 75:13) |
Bali Al-'Insānu `Alá Nafsihi Başīrahun | Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. (Al-Qiyamah 75:14) |
Wa Law 'Alqá Ma`ādhīrahu | Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). (Al-Qiyamah 75:15) |
Lā Tuĥarrik Bihi Lisānaka Lita`jala Bihi | Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'ān, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. (Al-Qiyamah 75:16) |
'Inna `Alaynā Jam`ahu Wa Qur'ānahu | It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Qur'ān), (Al-Qiyamah 75:17) |
Fa'idhā Qara'nāhu Fa Attabi` Qur'ānahu | And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Qur'ān's) recital. (Al-Qiyamah 75:18) |
Thumma 'Inna `Alaynā Bayānahu | Then it is for Us (Allāh) to make it clear to you, (Al-Qiyamah 75:19) |
Kallā Bal Tuĥibbūna Al-`Ājilaha | Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, (Al-Qiyamah 75:20) |
Wa Tadharūna Al-'Ākhiraha | And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. (Al-Qiyamah 75:21) |
Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Nāđirahun | Some faces that Day shall be Nādirah (shining and radiant). (Al-Qiyamah 75:22) |
'Ilá Rabbihā Nāžirahun | Looking at their Lord (Allāh); (Al-Qiyamah 75:23) |
Wa Wujūhun Yawma'idhin Bāsirahun | And some faces, that Day, will be Bāsirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), (Al-Qiyamah 75:24) |
Tažunnu 'An Yuf`ala Bihā Fāqirahun | Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; (Al-Qiyamah 75:25) |
Kallā 'Idhā Balaghati At-Tarāqī | Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), (Al-Qiyamah 75:26) |
Wa Qīla Man Rāqin | And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" (Al-Qiyamah 75:27) |
Wa Žanna 'Annahu Al-Firāqu | And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); (Al-Qiyamah 75:28) |
Wa Altaffati As-Sāqu Bis-Sāqi | And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) (Al-Qiyamah 75:29) |
'Ilá Rabbika Yawma'idhin Al-Masāqu | The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allāh)! (Al-Qiyamah 75:30) |
Falā Şaddaqa Wa Lā Şallá | So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Qur'ān, in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed! (Al-Qiyamah 75:31) |
Wa Lakin Kadhdhaba Wa Tawallá | But on the contrary, he belied (this Qur'ān and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away! (Al-Qiyamah 75:32) |
Thumma Dhahaba 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Yatamaţţá | Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself! (Al-Qiyamah 75:33) |
'Awlá Laka Fa'awlá | Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you! (Al-Qiyamah 75:34) |
Thumma 'Awlá Laka Fa'awlá | Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you! (Al-Qiyamah 75:35) |
'Ayaĥsabu Al-'Insānu 'An Yutraka Sudáan | Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allāh) on him]? (Al-Qiyamah 75:36) |
'Alam Yaku Nuţfatan Min Manīyin Yumná | Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth? (Al-Qiyamah 75:37) |
Thumma Kāna `Alaqatan Fakhalaqa Fasawwá | Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allāh) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion. (Al-Qiyamah 75:38) |
Faja`ala Minhu Az-Zawjayni Adh-Dhakara Wa Al-'Unthá | And made him in two sexes, male and female. (Al-Qiyamah 75:39) |
'Alaysa Dhālika Biqādirin `Alá 'An Yuĥyiya Al-Mawtá | Is not He (Allāh Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things). (Al-Qiyamah 75:40) |
